I think artists should reblog/repost their older art. You put the work in, why not coast on that for a while? If Todd Howard can get away with rereleasing Skyrim for the umpteenth time then you can reblog your older art

Squirrel with a Gun

The “animal goes wild” subgenre of video games is actually more varied than it first appears. A first glance at the category which includes Goat Simulator, Bear Simulator, Untitled Goose Game and Little Kitty, Big City might make them all seem like the same thing: go crazy and cause chaos and harass humans. But actually taking the time to play all of these games shows how wildly different they actually are. Some of them are open world games, some are divided linearly into areas with required goals, and Little Kitty, Big City is more like a 3D metroidvania. Some aren’t even about harassing humans at all!

Squirrel with a Gun dropped in 2024 and added its own take on the genre, and that take can be described as Super Mario Odyssey meets Goat Simulator.

500 CALIBER CONTRACTZ Post #9

TRAILER & TITLE REVEAL!!!!!11 :

These posts are gonna have the game's title rather than ".50 Caliber 3D Platformer" from now on, just a heads up. I finally got a trailer together! Most of it was shoddily put together in window movie maker as god intended, and the final bits where made with blender / sony vegas. It was a bit rushed to meet a deadline, but I'm quite happy with it. The wonderful nu metal track in the trailer was donated by Shinigami who will also be commissioned to do a few tracks in the game itself! I honestly don't have much more to say about the trailer other than it was fun 2 make.

Logo Logo Logo Logo :

Making a logo was easily the biggest hurdle I had to cross before getting a trailer out. I've known for a while that I wanted the game to be called "500 CALIBER CONTRACTZ", but I knew that making a logo befitting of such a name would take some work. I ended up gathering references from artists such as crooixe and just kinda put them in a big folder to mull over. After enough of that, I got to work with pen on paper and sketched this up:

I went ahead and brought that into Affinity Photo and, after a bit of work, came out with this:

As we all know, any logo worth a damn has an unreadable subtitle that has its own slightly more readable subtitle to clarify what it says.

Conclusion :

Sorry I couldn't go more in depth about the process in this post. I've been quite buzy. I'm about to be off on a trip, so I wont be able to get any work done for the next week or so. I'll be back after that with more updates about tha game. See ya then, and enjoy your week.

I can't believe Nigel Farage has officially become an MP, for fucks sake

#at the very least first past the post limited reform gains to only 4 seats #so it's like they'll probably have very little tangible impact on policy #but it's possible that they'll unfortunately have huge ideological impact #because now they actually have a few elected mps their voice and platform looks somewhat more legitimate #and we've already seen how nigel farage has dragged overton's window to the right when he's outside of parliament #and because the tories lost so massively they're going to have to have a major realigning #and so farage and the reform party are probably going to continue impacting a lot of british politics unfortunately #and it's probable that they'll impact the Tories realignment and we'll see a further lurch to the right from the Tories #uk politics #darkeyedghost

Three dimensional scene for today based on videogame Pandemonium for system PC Windows 98 3DFX. Game has a beautiful 3d graphics. And such a strange little theme. It is like arcade. Run and jump. In a strange locations. For arcade this kind – it is enough! To have a funny gameplay!

And this is my three dimensional scene based on. In a forest, there are lots of funny things! You need to check owl! And to ask a spider not to make such a big webs at the roads. Where are all the little animals are running all the time! And, also, it is good to check bunnies and rabbits. They go to the forest to someplace. For a carrot.

You have in your hands two tree-sticks. With green and red. It is a technique of the forest. Forest citizens gives them to you. For defense from a different monsters.

Don’t mistake a spider with a monster. There is here a big spider. And he likes all the time to make a web along the big trees. And at the same time – along the trees - there are little roads here!

Evil monster for some reason tries to enter the forest. No one from little animals - don’t understand why. Maybe, exactly, you can get to know this? Why he is doing that? And at the same time - you check a forest! You are a forest technician, anyway. If there is something you don’t understand - ask a mole. He has a underground passages and little houses all over the forest.
