do you see the strings? I can feel them, tied around my joints and stretching into the past. every time I move, my dying body shudders 13 years ago. am I the marionette, or is my corpse? am I her, or am I me, in this body?

By the time cars were invented, Jonah Magnus was already well into the body hopping game, which raises the question: has he ever actually learn to drive? Did this man sit through driver’s ed? Or has he just been getting out of legal repercussions for his shit driving by telling the cops everything he knows about their deepest darkest secrets every time he gets pulled over?

it’s so funny going into monsterfucker spaces and seeing people argue about whether Venom is a tame monster crush or not and I think I figured out why ppl argue about it. I think there’s two separate levels to liking Venom and people just don’t specify which one they’re talking about
the first is what most people think of: you want Venom when they’re in a separate host and in their more humanoid form. they look like just a really tall guy, and you’ve got some monster traits involved but not quite as many as level two. this is the tame level.
the second level is when you want to be their host. you’re pulling an eddie brock— you’re fucking the slime that lives inside of you and cannot take on a humanoid form outside of yourself. it’s just a mass of black goop that lives in your organs and speaks to you in your head. this is why some people would consider Venom a more extreme monster crush

something else I wanted to point out in my post abt misogyny behind the scenes on the dsmp is how, when Niki first came forward very shortly after the dsmp ended to say there was a lot of misogyny from major male ccs behind the scenes, dt fans quickly accepted this as true because she didn't mention any names so it was easy to point fingers at wilbur or other men on the server and pretend her allegation didn't also very much implicate the dt, now that Connor, Sophie, Andi, and others have backed up Niki's claims of misogyny and confirmed that the dt were very much perpetrators of it as well they've suddenly stopped believing her
like idk I feel like nobody has mentioned Niki being basically the first to come out about the misogyny behind the scenes at all and how much of what she said lines up with what Connor said at the beginning of his stream, I just feel like it highlights the hypocrisy and contradictions from dt fans trying to justify why their faves couldn't possibly be perpetrators of misogyny

Liz is such an underappreciated character, I'm starting a collection about the things we know about her since the wiki doesn't have much info.
She went to law school for 4 years, (so she is in her early 20s) Evrart paid for it. I find it a little contradictory that he calls her middle class, since she also grew up in Martinaise & needed financial help for school, but maybe she is a little bit wealthier than the avarage person in Martinaise. She's a legal counsellor for the Dockworkers' Union and she's a socialist.
Evrart Claire - "Oh, Liz is a bright one!" He grins broadly. "I paid for that law degree myself, thinking it'll probably turn her all fancy, but hell, Harry -- she came back a firebrand socialist! Sometimes she scares *me* with her zeal."
Evrart Claire -"She thinks of herself as a guerrilla fighter. These middle-class kids and the books they read are crazy, Harry. I think she would rather be an *insurgent* than a lawyer. I hope it's a phase."
Easy Leo - "Oh, Lizzy? She is a real sharp tool. Mr. Evrart put her through some fancy school and everything, east of the river. Four years she was gone and when she came back she was all fancy and *law-yerly*." Easy Leo - "But she's a real nice girl, grew up in this here neighbourhood, knows everybody and gets along with everyone, real pillar of the community one day, I'm sure."
You - "Thank you comrade. Property is theft." Elizabeth - "Vulgar idiot," she shakes her head. Conceptualization - Your understanding of the worker's struggle is about one century old, she's thinking.
Elizabeth - "Listen, you Moralintern lackeys. You're a mob, enforcing the unlawful privatization of Revachol. Twenty fat men in the Occident are stealing it all -- and you're their body guards."
She is very pretty, "could be a model" but doesn't think highly of models.
Glen - "You *could* be, Liz. You could be anything. You could even be a model." Elizabeth - "*Even* a mod..." Her face stiffens. "Glen, I went to *law school*. I am an attorney." Electrochemistry - He's right, with a face like that she could be on the cover of La Débutante International. Glen - "So fucking what? Lots of models are actually really smart people, fuckwad!" Elizabeth - "No, Glen -- they aren't." Her tone is cold and uninvolved.
Rhetoric - When she's angry, she emphasizes the *s*. It gives her voice a strangely hypnotic quality. Her lips barely move as she speaks. Inland Empire - Frankly it's a bit terrifying.
Likes and dislikes:
Elizabeth - "Anodic dance music, you wouldn't get it." Elizabeth - "No." It doesn't look like she's into popular adventure-fantasy.
You - "Do you listen to disco?" The Gardener - "Uh... I'm gonna say no." "Can't wait to change out of these rags."
She is good at lying, to some degree:
Drama - She feels interrogated now. It's hard to say if she's lying. Composure - She hides it well, but behind the sweat and dirt there is something... else. In her rigid posture. Drama - You get a strange feeling, looking at that smile. It spoils the moment. It is disingenuous. You - What's going on here? Drama - Surely it was nothing, sire. Just paranoia.
Liz obviously doesn't like Harry, she didn't want to cover for Klaasje. She is annoyed with the Hardie boys.
Elizabeth: "Babysitting imbeciles... what the heck, Liz?" Elizabeth - "Why are you so fucking FAT, Angus?!" Lizzie snaps at him. "Now it's all pointless, because of *you*. You wasted my time. I told you, Titus --" she turns to him. "I told you to just give her up."
Her thoughts on Cuno:
The Gardener - "The kid did this, right? The red-haired rat? Can't say a sentence without *f****t* or *kipt*... He's always giving me trouble." You - "I was talking to him, yes." The Gardener - "Maybe you shouldn't be. I mean... you do your job, but that kid is beyond help.
Easy Leo says she is very nice and gets on well with everyone. I think we have to take into consideration that when we meet her 1. we play as a cop 2. she is in very high stress situations. She has a huge responsibility by being the union's lawyer. So I can imagine that she is usually a bit more like what she acted like as "the gardener", and doesn't always snap at people.
That's all I found so far, if anyone wants to add to this, feel free to do so

Watching my safe foods gradually turn into fear foods is like watching my husband leave for war like a 1930s housewife and succumbing to the thoughts that he'll never come back and then the next week immediately go and have gay sex with the neighbor

I've seen when people write Reader and Ghost as Life and Death, Ghost is always Death while Reader is Life. Which is fine, no hate to them, but imagine with me: Life!Ghost and Death!Reader.
I know it sounds a little out there, but Ghost's entire job as a soldier is to help ensure people in his country are safe. He's fighting for Life.
Also like, who says Life can't kill? If we look into mythology, gods of death don't take people's souls, they just guide the souls to their respective afterlives. If anything, Life is the one guiding the circumstances that kill mortals while Death is the one who guides their souls to their resting places. Life is the one killing them.
And I know someone can say "Oh, but Ghost is gloomy and Life is supposed to sunshiney." Who says? I think both Reader and Ghost can be gloomy people together, in two different ways. Reader just appears out of the shadows, gently taking the dead soul via however they transport souls to afterlives while Ghost is his snarky self.
Imagine, an enemy soldier seeing Ghost corner them in a battlefield and is like "Have you come to take me, Death?"
And Ghost just responds, "I'm Life, actually. They're Death."
And as the enemy soldier turns to face Reader who walks out of the shadows that had encased them, Ghost stabs the enemy soldier. And when they're dead, Reader silently takes them to their designated afterlife.
I don't know if any of this actually made sense to anyone except for me. But if you see the vision, I'm glad.

ok i’ve seen so many people talking about the height difference and people asking why they want ty to be taller and here’s my answer. I feel like a lot of the time it’s always the herondale are just like cut copies of the ones who come before them (which to those people I saw look at james and jace) but like I don’t want kit to become more like jace if that makes sense. I feel like fanfics i’m reading always have kit just acting like jace and I don’t like that… I want kit to stay the kid who talked about superhero’s and was funny (but a different brand of funny than jace cause I see people compare there humor a lot and I just disagree) and while it doesn’t make a lot of sense now that i’m typing this out I want kit to be shorter because it fits the nerdy funny personality he has in my head and like ty’s a centurion (I have no idea how to spell this but it autocorrected to this) and he’s gonna be like an amazing detective and this literally makes no sense but i’ve already typed it out so…

I do wanna chat about how the parable and to an extent the narrator (as being in control of that space) being a “the house is alive” situation but I have no idea how to even begin articulating those thoughts. but that place is alive and it is ever changing and growing and yet never moving.
