Lol grandma mailed me more old photos so here's proof that i was clearly always a hipster with my terribly 80s patterned red dress and leggings (also the caption written on the back of this photo is 'laura with curled hair' because my stick straight hair being curled was a big deal). And on the right a shot of me in yellow with the white headband to hold back said straight hair looking taller than everyone else at that age in basketball. My dad's in the back probably looking on disapprovingly because I have the ball and am probably about to pass it instead of shoot it (the other girls liked shooting much more than me so i let them).

So basically, we have Neteyam and Mate going out for a little time together at the lake, or pond whatever (deep enough 😏😳). Reader decides to draw Neteyam. So he poses for her and well she starts drawing and all. She is all concentrated looking at the paper for a moment and she feels something being thrown at her. She looks at him and well 🥴 We don't need any precisions here :3

Reader is all flustered and Neteyam is just smirking widely. Reader hasn't any time to react because we hear Jake's voice screaming Neteyam's name from afar. Oh ! Guess what ? Neteyam forgot. Yes. He forgot a training with his father (Pls let this poor guy rest a bit 🙂).

Neteyam tries to grab his loincloth but reader is faster and throws it far into the bushes, with a smirk obv. So Neteyam has no choice to jump into the water (I know that Na'vi are less ashamed of nudity... Are they ? Anyways !)

So his brother and father get there, very fastly. Everything that happened before was like in 10 secs.

The rest I leave up to you 😏 We only need some funny dad-Neteyam and brother-Neteyam interactions when he just can't go out of the water, but he's very very late... Then we have Lo'ak that finally understands and just cannot stop laughing, making Jake more than less annoyed than he already was. And we have some intense playfull eye contacts with the reader. She's enjoying it haha.

As a human on Pandora, there wasn't much for you to do, very little your body was inherently made for. You were slow and clumsy, a stark contrast to the Na'vi carrying you on his back like a little doll, all nimble and quiet as he treaded the deep shrubbery, his thumbs massaging your thighs as you rested your chin on his shoulder, humming contently in between peppering kisses to his neck.

As a human on Pandora, you were stuck in a lab most days, with filtered air and fluorescent lights, that did nothing for you, that had a rare talent of making even the most beautiful creature look ghastly and ashen, that gave you a headache, that made you miss the beautiful light peering through the uneven gaps created by the branches of the tall trees of the Omaticayan forest. Stuck as you were, you turned to artistic outlets for your boredom. You loved to draw, and you became very good in time, enough that the entire lab and some of the village were now covered in your landscapes and your portraits. The people loved you, and your talents, and often urged you to draw them or loved ones, as a way to immortalise a face or a moment forever in time, a priceless gift for them, and one that gave you a place amongst the Na'vi, even different, as you were.

As a human on Pandora, you didn't have a lot of choice of entertainment... or men. But you've never felt the lack... not when you had Neteyam. Your best friend, your confidant, he was always up for a challenge, and, let's just say, he always thought of you as one. In the few years since your 18th birthday, a rite of passage of sorts for humans, you were told, Neteyam made it his purpose to show you that you will never have to miss out on anything on Pandora, that he would make it his life's mission to... be there for you, in any and every way you needed, be it to be a shoulder to cry on, or a shoulder to rest your legs on as his head was in between your thighs, Neteyam was always there - ready to help, ready to serve.

You gulped as you reminisced about this morning, about the moans that escaped him as he was lapping at your folds like he was quenching an unquenchable thirst, like eating you out was for his own pleasure, and not your own, or the way he didn't stop until you were so overstimulated you were crying, something he made up for by showering you in soft kisses and quiet whispers of "you did so well for me, yawne. you always take me so well."

"You ok back there... friend?"

"Yes, Teyam. Just tired. Are we almost there yet?"

"Patience, love. You wanted more inspiration for your drawings, right? I told you I found just the place, and you're going love it, I promise. It's just a little further."

Well, he was right. The little meadow created by a small, clear pond, bustling with little fish swimming peacefully, drowned in warm sunlight, was the perfect backdrop for the painting you had in mind. With a small smirk, you pointed at the water and clicked your tongue at your much larger, beautiful, muscular friend.

"Get in, Teyam."

"Why?"

"I've wanted to draw you for a while, I just wanted the perfect background, and now I have it. Now go."

You chuckled to yourself as you heard a loud splashing noise, and settled on removing your pad and pens, placing them on the ground next to you as you thought about what positions would work best for what you had in mind. You gasped loudly when something soft hit you in the face, removing you from your less than innocent reveries - it seemed Neteyam was ahead of you, as you felt for the object that you removed from yourself and realised it was his loincloth. When you looked back at him, your mind shortcircuited at the sight of his naked body, glistening in the sun as the water dripped down every defined muscle, down his chest and abs, down his v-line, down his -

"You like what you see, yawne?"

Although it pained you, you raised your eyes until they met his beautiful features, tanhí shining brightly even in broad daylight, as they always did when he was overtly happy or amused, and by the wild, mischievous grin and crinkles by his eyes, it was a safe assumption he was both.

"I say you forget the painting for now, and come here so I can show you how... grateful I am you thought of me as your next subject."

It was a no-brainer to you, really, but when you heard a voice you knew all too well screaming, the noise echoing through the trees, heightening the sound, your body stilled in place.

"Neteyam! Are you there, boy?"

"Fuck! I forgot I was supposed to meet my dad for training."

"Quick, throw me the tewn-" you screeched as the instruction came too little too late, and in the heat of the moment and much to Neteyam's dismay, frightened by the quickly approaching steps of the Olo'eyktan, you threw the cloth in the opposing direction, somewhere in the bushes.

"Netey- ah, kid. What are you two doing here?"

You just looked at him, panicked, eyes flickering from him to Neteyam's younger brother, who looked at you suspiciously, eye narrowed as they assessed the situation at hand through a lens of youth and misdemeanour Jake couldn't really see, and you were glad.

"Cat got your tongue, kid?" The Sully patriarch's raised eyebrow did very little to will out of the catatonic state you found yourself in, so you remained quiet as he scoffed, turning his attention to his oldest son, instead.

"You were supposed to be in training at 1400 hours, remember?"

"Yes, sir."

"Come on, out. We need to be off and make up for it."

"I-I... can't."

"And why the hell not, boy?"

You felt Jake's eye roll deep in your soul, and you felt like you should take the blame for this since... you threw Neteyam's clothes away in fear, and everything. You should rectify this.

"Jake, I-"

"Oh, my Eywa! He's naked! He's so naked!"

Your mouth dropped in shock, but it was too late. The cat was indeed out of the bag, and as your and Neteyam's eyes met, listening to his dad's groans of disgust, you were a little relieved to see a hint of a smile on his face, the beautiful twinkle of amusement putting your mind at ease, letting you know it was all going to be ok. As long as you were together, and you had him, it was all going to be ok.

Reaching your hand behind your head to scratch the itchy spot at the base of your neck, you laughed awkwardly as you spoke:

"I'm... experimenting with some new artistic techniques?"

I will never not get annoyed over people saying that Brian/Grue joining the Heroes was the obvious and easiest choice out there. Admittedly, the WOGs expand more on it, but even with what we get from Arc 4 when he talks about his trigger event, I can't comprehend how anyone wouldn't see the reasons for him not wanting to join the government sponsored heroes.

Basing this off memory, but to sum it up, Brian goes to him moms house after getting a text from Aisha asking for help. He finds her in some poor condition ( I don't think he goes into detail and it may not matter if he did cause he's not telling the full truth here) and when he tries to take her back to his dad's, their step-dad gets in thew ay and doesn't let them leave. Brian proceeds to beat him up, take his sister back, and gets powers sometime in between.

Then, he, aisha, and their dad go to the police the very next morning. They explain what happened and Brian still describes how he almost got sent to jail. Only aisha backing him up and his step-dad missing an asshole anonymous meeting saved him. And he still got some months of community service. Like, in my opinion he did the right thing every step of the way and still almost got screwed over.

Sometime later, (not immediately cause he's 14 to 15 when he gets powers) he decides to try and take care of aisha by being a villain to get enough money/backing to do it.

That's all described in arc 4. Now we get into the WOGs. Again, basing this off memory, but I can try to find them later.

First, Brian lied about his trigger, a little bit. General event still happened, but when he claimed he didn't know who the man was besides being his mom's new boyfriend, he lied. He knew that man bc it was the same boyfriend who had abused him in the past. And his mom brought him back and let him interact with his sister. Add in his mom's other problems and his dad's ("I wouldn't describe him as abusive") there was a fair bit of emotions Brian was going through that he didn't share. But at the end of the day, every adult in his life failed him and his sister. He wouldn't be willing to extend his trust as easily.

Second, a different WOG described Brian getting into crime in a panic bc aisha had done something afterward that led to her needing to get bailed out of something with money (again, going off memeory) so even if he wanted to join the wards he'd be doing it with a record. Presumably he later decided he might as well go all in on it and get aisha into a safer environment than both his parents. He probably thought it may help with keeping her out of trouble as well if she wasn't around two people who didn't know how to raise kids (not that he did either, but he probably thought he couldn't do worse).

Third, by WOG he did actually consider the wards, but after researching them decided they wouldn't be worth it. Admittedly this was moreso bc of his own hangups with commitment. Bc telling the big organization your power and identity then trying to bail wouldn't really work out, but apparently it was still preferable to a career of crime. It's not like the Protectorate would actually have authority to take a child away from their parents anyway without major proof, especially if that kid isn't a parahuman themself.

Fourth, the undersiders were generally a low risk high reward chance until Taylor joined and brought them her bad luck. They operated for a year and only got into some mild skirmishes with Lung and them being escape artist didn't have an issue with him. Besides that, they made a shot ton of money on top of the 2grand their sponsor gave them.

Fifth, I don't think we ever learned what the time table was for Coil helping out with Brian getting custody, especially given how suspicious Brian was of their mysterious boss and his motives preleviathan. Maybe Coil admitted to knowing Brian's problems and offered a solution at the start. Maybe Brian opened up with it as a condition to him joining. Or maybe after a few months of getting 2grand a relatively easy missions Brian decided to trust the boss who hadn't screwed him and ask for the money to be given to him in a legal paycheck for better chance at custody. I say that last option bc Brian is supposed to be the careful pragmatic one who thinks about his choices and doesn't do the crazy option unless bug girl decides to go full throttle and he begrudgingly goes along. And giving his personal details and a sure fire way of blackmail isn't excalty the pragmatic choice.

Tldr: he has to have some pretty big distrust of authority cause shifty parents and probably shotty police and by WOG became a criminal in a panic before going full in on it. Cause he was, again, like 15 years old.

Now, the argument for him joining the wards is that the Heroes/PRT could have snapped their fingers and given everything Brian would want. And seeing the deal Madcap got I can definitely see the idea behind it, but there are a few problems with that. A) Brian wouldn't know shit about how desperate the Heroes are bc they don't advertise that. B) I'm not sure how much power they would actually have over taking kids away from unhealthy environments cause laws and shit would probably limit that. C) as stated above, he says he almost got jailed for hurting his step-dad so I don't see him liking authority at this stage, no matter how just he was in the eyes of the law for it. D) Brian's own issues and that he's a 15 year old so he won't see the world as a perfectly rational being.

I'm loving all your steve harrington posts! he's my favorite character in the show and seeing one of my favorite artists and au-maker (not sure if that's an actual term but whatever) doing posts about him makes me sooo happy. him and anakin skywalker are two of my hyperfixation characters so thank you for making awesome stuff! anyways this might be a little random, but what pokemon would you see Steve owning?

Thank you so much!! (´｡• ᵕ •｡`) As for what Pokemon Steve would have...

The first Pokemon he got was his dad's Arcanine. His father had bought a very expensive Growlithe, one breed primarly for elite battles, and evolved it WAY too earlier. Without any training or bonding the poor Arcanine couldn't control it's power, making it terrible in battle. Steve's father got bored of it and was going to sell it, but Steve pleaded to have it, so his father gave it to him when he was 6 years old.

Steve named the Arcanine Achilles and the two soon became inseparable. Achilles was unused to his new size, so he could often underestimate his strength and accidently give Steve a nasty bruise, or worse a burn if his fur got too hot. But Steve never cared and after years of love and patience, Achilles has become a VERY strong pokemon.

Steve found the Charmeleon as Charmander. It was covered in scars and was missing an arm, wandering around lost and confused as it had been abandoned by it's trainer in the woods. A 10 year old Steve instantly scooped up the shivering Charmander and took it home. Her named her Ember.

The last one, the Cubone is the most recent addition. After having a nightmare about kids getting eaten by Demodogs, Steve ends up in the woods, drunk and sad. He lays down on the ground and looks up only to see an orphaned Cubone looking down at him. Both of them hang out, mostly Steve just rambling but soon enough the Cubone is asleep in his lap and Steve just sighs because he knows this one coming home with too. He names him Copper.

Steve's pokemon LOVE HIM SO MUCH! They would die for him, so despite not being trained to battle they are still very strong.

Hey I really love your art - I wanted to ask if you use references from anywhere specific.

Also, have you considered the idea of Reigan becoming Minori's Guardian Ad Litem? I agree that Reigans not exactly the kind of person to make the most responsible father (at least where we leave him in the show) but I could totally imagine him becoming her guardian for some legal reason.

He's really the only adult she'd know to trust outside her father.

I can imagine they're put a whole court case together with Reigan as her guardian just for legal reasons and they win, and then Minori's like. "Oh shit where do I go? Guess your my guardian for real now." And Reigan is like.

Thank you 🫶💜 hmm well for pose references including clothing etc I just get them from google stock images, I generally try to avoid making the pose too similar to the images I see so I sometimes draw in different angles (honestly most of the time I struggle looking up references because I cant find a picture in a specific angle I want, so I go with my intuition even if it's wrong), honestly google is probably the place I rely on the most for this. Like if I forget what a shoe looks like then I'll just google it.

If you're talking about where I got inspiration for my art style (or what I look to get ideas for my art etc) I'd say the major ones for me are ONE's sketches on twitter (especially his shaky lineart and how he draws eyes), early episodes of Detective Conan (clothing folds, color choices sometimes, body proportions like the chest being pointed etc), Revolutionary Girl Utena (also clothing and body proportions), FLCL (I have no idea what parts of it influenced my art but I feel like it's an obligation to list it here)

Uhh for the fun drawings that require more effort I'd say music is inevitably the most important part of it. 99% of the time my drawings that arent plain sketches are modeled after a specific song I listen to (primarily from ZARD but other artists too although not as often) even then I think my sketches are still influenced by ZARD somehow. Wait I completely forgot to mention I also look up images of ZARD on Pinterest for poses or just... to draw anything honestly. Theres a good number of pictures of her in various angles (I remember one of her photographers said she was very photogenic so most of her pictures are very casual as if a camera wasn't present) I think it's good to look at them if you are looking for something natural. Just looking up "Izumi Sakai" there will give you results.

For text placement/colors/vibe/whatever I like to look at old media I grew up with like MADs, shitty websites made in the 90s/2000s, old anime subtitled in Arabic (I have plenty of DVDs with anime dubbed/subbed in Arabic that I have no idea where we got them from, I assume it's all pirated. Anime openings/endings in Arabic also have very poor aesthetics when it comes to logo placement/text color/text animation/etc but that's exactly why I like them) I also have a Pinterest board with outdated ZARD edits that I look at often while drawing. For image textures or backgrounds I use this website. If I struggle with art block or don't know how to draw a specific thing I also look at everything I previously listed and reference from there. Anyways I talked a Lot but hopefully I could help with that.

As for Reigen being a guardian .... I never considered it seriously but I think he could pull it off. He'll definitely make mistakes but he could succeed if he had a daughter. I just have to kill off Minori's real dad or something and it'll work. The only problem would be that Minori has to live with the fact that her new father is broke and unable to spend thousands of dollars for her every week.

The monastery Tav hails from is one of the largest in Baulder’s Gate, and exists in service to the god of justice, Helm. It’s practice is a blend of traditions, with a structure that both serves religious and martial ends. Like any nearly self-sufficient monastery, it is an institution, and almost a little city unto itself. It is large enough to not only support monk-related religious practice and study (which includes the infrastructural support for people who live there – gardens, baths, kitchens, classrooms, dormitories, libraries), but also training for combat-oriented monks, paladins, and clerics, social services for the city (food and medical care for the poor, orphan and other child-related care and services), educational facilities (with a religious bent, but also considered to be a high quality of schooling), and of course, plenty of functions and celebrations. It is a permanent home to many people, and a temporary one for many more.

This close little group used to hang out between the time Tav entered the monastery and left as a solo wandering monk (ages 12-21) – she still crosses paths with them occasionally. They all like to hang out and catch up as adults. They are not her only friends, but they are her closest ones from her time in the monastery, they grew up together and all know each other’s business. They are the ‘weird kids’ that found each other and have stuck together – knowing each other eased a lot of issues from their younger years.

Descriptions below (age is as of the end of the events of Baulder's Gate 3):

Sahayla Cove (52, F, Human) – Very shy and always a little young for her years, she found comfort and safety hanging out with this bunch of weirdos who thought she was very cool and interesting. Eldest of the group. Artistically talented, currently an illuminator at the monastery and loves it. Schooled at the monastery since primary school, took to boarding there for secondary school. As with Tav, has family in Baulder’s gate but her relationships there are very strained. Found comfort in the monastery and never left – is very theologically loyal to Helm as practice, but likes lively debate on divine topics (tends to view gods as just doing their jobs, and sometimes not doing it well.) (Trans woman.)

Dumah Malekson (50, M, Human… or was anyway) – Pragmatic and kind, intelligent and sensible, generally the ring-leader of the group, unless one of the younger ones got a hair up about causing a specific kind of trouble (he only ever held them back JUST enough to stay out of serious trouble – mischief and nonsense were always fine.) Less the dad-friend and more the NCO friend. One of many children of a large Bauldiran noble family who didn’t stand to inherent anything in the long term and was coaxed by his family into joining the monastery as the proper and right thing to do (both for his sake and theirs – it was… mostly his decision.) Eventually trained as and went to adventure as a Paladin of Helm – and has many of his own stories to tell.

Ceili Meddleweed (48, NB, Halfling) – Thoughtful but strongly opinionated and kindof bossy (occasionally got into some VERY mean verbal fights with Tav). Suffers from an unfortunate condition called “being right.” Very nearsighted, and small even for a halfling. Quite contradictory – orderly but not neat, impatient but kind, has a hand in everything they can reach and a wicked memory, but is only really interested in their own business. Originally entered monastic training to become a monk (and be combat trained,) but lost interest in their later teens, preferring study anything that sat still long enough (which proved no trouble to change in the monastery.) Like Tav they still have blood relatives in Baulder’s Gate they interact with – their relationships are fine. They work as a librarian now in the upper city (not in the monastery,) and are a little leery, skeptical, and gruff, but ultimately very very knowledgeable and eager to share it when prompted. (Might also be a sorcerer but keeps their casting ability on the down low – hold person is a cantrip, right?)

Pareesa Denbek (46, F, Tiefling) – Generally quiet and observant (sometimes to a point of being seen as ‘creepy’), but will speak at length once trusting and happy. Born to human parents, they did try to care for her, but were lost to tragedy (probably Bhallist activity – but no suspects were ever named) – became a ward of the state and was bounced around for far too long in foster care until finding a permanent home in the monastery. Although a little traumatized from her background, she has become one of the head gardeners as an adult, and her favorite topic in the world is plant genetics, hybridization, and the minutia of growing conditions and micro-climates. Also has an ongoing project of selecting the monastery's cats for intense vocalizations, much to some of the other inhabitant’s chagrin (they can’t talk… yet.)

Zatavia “Tav” Felix (45, F, Tiefling) – Chronically cranky with a fierce sense of loyalty and a good punch. Entered monastic training at the age of 12 as a way to cope with terrible internal anger (and also not having her emotional needs met.) Grew up into a wandering monk then turned adventurer. Now the hero of Baulder’s gate or something – off having adventures in Avernus or wherever with her partner.

“Grembo” (45, M, Malkin) – Tav’s “biological identical twin brother” (ongoing joke), more outgoing and a bit lighter-hearted than her, but the two of them have a similar sort of approach and vibe. They do behave much like siblings – the only person who can kill the other one is them. He is the main material component in Tav’s spell “fuck your life, bing-bong” (Material – Grembo, Verbal – “fuck your life, bing-bong”, Somatic – Throw Grembo at it.) Grembo is also a combat-oriented monk, he left the monastery earlier than Tav, and has been off on his own adventures.

Helena Oorstag (43, F, Human) – Fearless, outgoing child, not a fighter or angry like Tav, but always amenable to be the first to poke something, touch something, or go somewhere unseen. Desperate to be important and to prove ‘worth.’ Orphan adopted by the monastery at a young enough age (three or four) that she doesn't remember anything much else. In some ways it doesn't entirely suit her, but she doubled down and studied to become a cleric because she thought that would make her ‘best.’ Became much more reserved and stalwart as an adult, after a short-lived adventuring career as a cleric that nearly killed her – slowly and unpleasantly. Works as a potter these days and has a family in the lower city, just enjoys making things with her hands. Her friends say she’s all very different than when she was a kid, but they still love her anyway.

Cian Cian* (41, M, Half-Orc) – Clever but blunt, former street urchin who tried to pickpocket the head abbot, somehow got talked into joining the order (he’s not quite sure how it happened, honestly). Combat-trained monk like Tav and Grembo, but chose not to wander, instead serving to guard the monastery itself (Baulder’s Gate is an interesting city, and all of the large temples and monasteries know to have appropriate force to maintain their standing.) Slow to warm to the others, but he, Grembo, and Tav were sparring with each other from early on and took a liking to each other’s own gruff composure. Still mad Tav grew up taller than him (they were about the same size when they met – he was a big kid and still is a big guy.) *Didn’t know what to put down as his last name so just wrote his name twice.

Posin “Po” Tailclap (40, M, Dragonborn) – Just a little guy, youngest of the group, bright and curious and full of hell, orphan left in the monastery's care as an infant, grew up into a loyal paladin of Helm. Really good at getting into places he shouldn’t be – even in plate armor these days. Curious, bright, bug-eating menace to society. Has a tendency even as an adult to bully people into doing the right thing by being too cheerful and sweet to say ‘no’ to. Idolizes Dumah, as well as Tav, Grembo and Cian to a degree, and all of them lack a bit of humility, so they just run with it and let him do what he wants. (Trans man.) Knows Karlach from having done various volunteer and charity work in the lower city.

before my brain and motivation to function falls back into the void. this HC I have for MK is by no means groundbreaking or anything it's probably basic but it has me by the throat, i love it so much and I don't really see people talk about it as much so we all know that MK is an artist and a pretty damn good one, mean he's apparently illustrating his own copy of JTTW (if I'm remembering that correctly) which we do see in the show and it looks really good. my hc is that MK loves to draw really detailed artwork of his friends and he takes a lot of candid photos of them for inspiration. particularly action shots of them. he'll sneak multiple snapshots or video them during training or just doing something cool in general. like mei doing aerial tricks in her dragon form or racing on her bike, red or nezha doing flaming kickflips, pigsy showing off some while cooking, etc. and sometimes it's just them chilling and the scenery/lighting around them looks really lovely or peaceful, examples being MK coming across nezha or wukong meditating or doing warm-ups, or his dads sharing tea at a festival. (because MK can draw tang I think he just has a harder time drawing him like a badass like the others. he draws him best in a gentler domestic setting with him looking wise or fatherly. but that's just my thoughts) he has special art supplies he uses just for those, the good high-quality artbooks, pencils/paints, etc. of all his art projects these are the ones he shows the most focus and attention to detail on because he's putting every bit of his admiration and love for his loved ones in there. and mk is surprisingly really good at being sneaky about this cause he's a little embarrassed and self-conscious about it. like he's worried it'll come off as creepy and like so many artists question if his art looks good enough to show too his idols so he hasn't shown anyone the finished drawings yet except maybe a few to mei, partly because he trusts her partly because it's very hard to find anything from that girl. which is a shame because these art pieces would definitely make wukong/nezha/mac/redson cry happy tears because like "omb...do..do i really look this cool?? is this how Mk actually sees me?!?" i ESPECIALLY love the idea of Nezha coming across mk's secret fanart notebooks and he finds all the lovingly drawn pictures of him looking so stoic and cool and just collapsing in shaking tears because its SO HARD for that poor guy to get the respect he rightfully deserves because of his height/age. and seeing just how much his adopted little brother loves and respects him is just...fgwgfiesyygg he doesn't even know how to properly react (it probably be the same thing with mac or redson, just shaking crying stuttering messes of emotions they don't know how to express) anyway there is my long ass rant (i'm sorry for the length or any spelling errors also can you tell brotherly Nezha and MK is one of my favorite things. i....i just want to see them get more screentime together in s4 ;;-;;)

i absolutely love this idea, its so sweet, the idea of nezha especially really needing to hear from someone he cares about how much hes respected is just *chefs kiss*

my character was born in a swamp but instead of running away, they made a deal with a demon to help get rid of their parents. it somewhat worked, they were able to kill their dad, but they failed when trying to kill their mom so then they ran away

did a bunch of odd jobs like in their actual backstory and became like a wandering musician/artist (they dont use magic btw). they came across the former count of vesuvia and were like "whoa bro you should let me follow you guys as you wage war and stuff i got some cool music and doodles" then ended up being a good war strategist resulting in count spada choosing them to be the next count when he died. during one battle they got shot by an arrow and had to get their arm amputated (they were upset about that one since a lot of their hobbies required two arms lol)

anyway then they become count. theyre a pretty good count, but most of their decisions were either to just please the citizens or save face (literally throws parties just to use the masquerade aspect to hide from said parties) and a lot of their actions were very passive, favoring public opinion over individuals

then the plague happened. everyone including them panicked. a lot of poor decisions were made. then they got the plague and then they doubled down and freaked out even more. made some deals, did a little ritual, then DIED had a little oopsie. now haunts the castle as a...goat? cat? idk i havent decided yet

TSIME: Meet Bobby's Crew (part 1)

One of my favorite parts of writing is actually just character creation. I love knowing exactly what they look like and all kinds of fun details about them, even if those details never end up in the actual story. So I figure, since I wasted tons of time making long character profiles for them, I figured I might as well write them up, make them pretty, and share them. Why am I doing this? Because sharing is caring. Duh. Defnitely not because I'm avoiding editing. How dare you?

ANYWAY. In this post we're meeting Bobby's best friend, his husband, and their daughter.

Meet Louis:

🗸 Louis is a loving, generous soul and does not charge Bobby rent. But he does occassionally ask for baked goods and Bobby always obliges.

🗸 Before they even got engaged, he insisted on paying for all of Dean's sick mum's housing and care, to take the stress off of his beloved.

🗸 He's a homebody who hates traveling. He finds it stressful and doesn't like feeling unmoored. He decided against going to a prestigious culinary school because he didn't want to leave Glasgow.

🗸 He and Lili get along because they're both type-A snugglers.

🗸 Comes from a wealthy family. His mother is a very successful estate agent and his father was a popular rugger (now retired). He's an only child.

🗸 His father, who grew up working class, decided that Louis should go to public school so he'd experience the real world outside of their wealthy bubble.

🗸 In school Louis was routinely, sometimes viciously bullied for being posh. Something he never told his family. But he didn't come out until he was twenty years old because he feared even more bullying for being gay. His parents had already guessed and gave him nothing but love and support.

🗸 Louis was not happy when Bobby added Jonno to their friend group in P6 and even less happy when Fenella was added when they were adults. He puts up with them because he loves Bobby and just accepts that his best friend is the type who brings mangy strays home, thinking they're beautiful. And who is Louis to tell him they're not? That said, they're not all mingin'. He adores Maitland and Nivaan.

🗸 Despite being so tall and muscular, Dean is a fluffy bunny of a man. Very sentimental and kind. He will not kill bugs. If Louis wants a spider squashed, he's on his own.

🗸 He has four siblings, one sister and three brothers. He was the youngest. His home life was not great. His family was incredibly poor and his dad was abusive, sexist, and homophobic (among other award-winning personality traits). His mother was loving, but very passive and preferred not to rock the boat.

🗸 When he was fourteen he was trying to make sense of his bisexuality, so he confided in his mum. One of his older brothers overheard and told their dad. To say it was handled poorly would be an understatment. Hurt, scared, and unwelcome in his home, he moved in with his sister, an artist who lives in Rochdale. He says she is the person who actually raised him to be a decent person.

🗸 His mum and dad divorced when she had two strokes and his fuckface father wasn't interested in caring for her. Dean routinely comes down to Norfolk to take care of her affairs as she didn't want to move. His brothers do care about their mum, but theyre mostly skivers who don't know how to be helpful. His sister keeps in contact with Dean, but she has no interest in being near the the rest of the family so he's the only one taking care of his mum.

🗸 His dad and brothers actually have the nerve to try demanding money and help from him, because they know Louis is wealthy. Never mind that they have not supported their marriage and have never said a kind word to either of them. Dean has never given them a dime.

🗸 He has never and will never ever admit this to anyone, but the night he met Bobby at the pub, he assumed the Scot was grafting and he was 100% ready to take him back to his hotel room. So he was confused when Bobby told him he'd called his friend Louis and he was coming to the pub to meet Dean. Then Louis showed up and Dean could hardly speak because he was so instantly and completely smitten. It was weeks later that he realized Bobby was just obliviously flirtatious with everyone.

The fun thing about Himeru and Vincent van Gogh is that they both have little brothers that are very important to their lore/history and that they wouldn't be who they are today (weird phrasing in Van Gogh's case but you know what I mean) without said brothers. And that they're both blue. And also when Vincent died it impacted Theo on such a massive level that he died half a year later so...not looking well for HiMERU on that front.

(but also off topic but the german Wikipedia article for van Gogh is?? So sad?? Whoever wrote that Felt for his brother there is so much about Theo Van Gogh in that Wikipedia article you didn't have to mention that he named his son Vincent after his brother you did not necessarily have to include that he was always his brothers biggest supporter and the one that believed in him the most you did not have to go into how heartbroken he was after Vincent's death I kid you not the lasts paragraphs are about how a letter from Theo's doctor stated that "the poor man must've lived a life of great Stress" and that the brothers are buried on the same cemetery next to each other. It is the most emotionally charged Wikipedia article I have read in my life)

And it's not just that they're burried in the same cemetary, theo was first burried in the netherlands and then over 20 years later was moved to france next to vincent's grave. The entire family is so sad to me, the sister vincent was the closest to ended up spending half her life in the mental asylum too after he died, funding her stay there through selling his paintings, which were getting more and more appreciated and valuable. In today's world maybe things could've turned out better for everyone, we're still far, Far from perfect in dealing with mental illnesses, but there is more knowledge at least. Maybe more compassion for the living i'd like to think.

It's funny you mention the himeru parallels, i think we talked about it too, i remember we did muse that vincent sure loved his hats (looking at his self portraits and room paintings) just like himeru... then this train of thought was cut short because the video sent us to hell. It was such a weird experience, they set the man on fire in every window with dramatic music and everything. And what was supposed to be a loop was just neverending... anyway if you want a funny (maybe not the right word) van gogh fact for himeru reasons, his dad was a priest and van gogh had started training for it as well but he left that life to become an artist, supported by theo. Well ok enough i feel bad cherrypicking more fun facts to fit an anime guy

HISTORY —

Aeris was always one for trouble. He never really thought to much about it though. It just found him. Maybe it's because there's never been a thought in his head. Not one about his future, his ambitions or even about consequences. He grew up easy with a silver spoon in his mouth, his siblings just as easy as him as they were given every single thing they'd ever wanted and more. With his father as a CFO to a big pharmaceutical company and his mother a small actress/model that worked in Los Angeles, they hadn't been exactly present in terms of raising the kids while growing up.

That being said, he had absolutely everything handed to him, never having to want for a thing; and maybe that's has been the root cause for his issue handling being told 'no'. Nothing was ever off limits, everything was always right there for the taking especially when affordability hadn't been an issue. By the time Aeris was a teenager, he became reckless, dumb, and nothing could be said or done to get him to shape up, as much as his parents did try. He chose not to go to college; he figured the whole thing was a huge waste of time anyway (it wasn't like he'd get in; his grades were solid D average).

Instead, he just lived off his dad's money, not giving a thought about his future once. His father didn't seem to be worried about it, he wasn't hitting the headlines dragging the family name or anything like that. That was, until Aeris had gotten into an accident while under the influence, and that didn't look good for his father or his mother. It hadn't been the first time, either, but the two times preceeding didn't involved another car so it was easy to sweep under the rug. Thankfully, the people in the other car were fine, and Aeris escaped with just a few scrapes.

Before he graduated, he'd been given the boot and became homeless, sleeping wherever he could. The first DUI wasn't the last trouble he'd been in, and it was soon they'd seen the error of their ways. So Aeris started couch hopping around his friends' places, finding anywhere he could. By the third month out, his parents frozen all his cards and stopped sending him money. It wasn't long before he'd dropped out of high school either. There wasn't a point when he didn't have anywhere to live, or a means of a meal.

Aeris eventyally started staying over at his childhood friend's house most of the time. They were Aeris's best friend, his guardian angel in that sense. It didn't take much after that before Aeris's spot on the floor became a spot in their bed. He may have dropped out of high school, but Aeris still went to prom with them. He cheered them on at graduation, but it all went awry when the first college acceptance letter came in.

Aeris didn't want them to go study across the country, he didn't want to deal with the distance, and he didn't want to get on a plane and join the adventure. So, of course, Aeris did the next best thing - tried to convince them to drop their dreams so they could just live together in Los Angeles. It ended in a fight, and a rather volatile one at that. Nothing got physical, but the words exchanged left them both wounded, and Aeris grabbed his bag and walked out the door.

Drawing hadn't been something he thought he'd use for his future, but going from not having to want for a thing to having nothing he knew he needed to figure something out. As it turned out, he had enough talent to slap together a portfolio, and there was enough promise in his scrapwork to catch the eye of a tattoo artist.

Aeris started an apprenticeship at the local tattoo shop after being encouraged by multiple people to do it. It would get a roof over his head and food in his belly by the time he was a licensed professional right? Early adulthood was rough, but he did his best and eventually managed to be able to afford a small room in a multi person apartment. It wasn't a lot, but it worked.

A bada bing, a bada boom, eh-squeezy (don’t make me write out all of his twenties now, I’ll add details later), he gained enough traction to have a clientele base, and his artwork kicked off. Using social media to sell his work, Aeris’s savings boosted within the year. He opted to leave Los Angeles and sought out buying his own shop. First it began as a travelling artist that bounced around as a guest appearance in various shops around SoCal, occasionally in Nevada, then he found what he wanted.

It took a half a year of going back and forth with the current owner, until Aeris stepped in as a permanent artist at the shop by the age of thirty-one.

⊹ He requires his food is at a temperature dangerously close to burning his taste buds off, or he won’t eat it. Steam must be coming off it or he simply cannot, will not, vetoed and in the trash.

⊹ His level of loyalty to someone is based on how of use they are to him.  

⊹ Getting to know him well enough to be on a first-name basis takes a lot of time and patience, but to fall within the parameters of what he considers ‘close friend’ means you can call him at 3 in the morning without any explanation needed, and he will be there.

⊹ He might not have the money he used to, but that doesn't mean aeris doesn't like to spend it. he splurges a lot, more than he should at some points.

⊹ Aeris can't return to his parents property as there had been a restraining order issued when he tried to break in and steal things post-break up with his one serious partner.

Not open for pregnancy plots or end game romance plots off the bat. I would like to work his character some before determining any long-term, permanent partnerships. I am open to discussing ideas with heavy plotting, however I look for natural chemistry and nothing forced. He has a lot to learn and even more growing up to do before some poor soul decides to take him as their own.

However, any past or current but temporary (for whatever reason) romance/partner plots, hit me up as I am more laid back about those.

♡ @bradley-banner - someone from his teen years, aeris knows bradley through her brother. the various parties they’d gone to together with her in the background. he might be gone, but aeris still finds time and want to relive old games (pool win tally) and reminisce on the ‘good ol’ days’ with her as often as possible. it gives him a moment to think less on what he’s lost, and he treats her the same despite the fame.

♡ @priyaxdesai - met her one off at a bar, when in a moment of frustration (tinder date ghosted him) he offered a free drink to the person closest to him. just to try and spread a good feeling or something. that night ends with heated kisses and wandering hands before priya parted ways from him in the parking lot. it's been a game since, taunting and teasing and trying to get under one another's skin.

♡ @jaredx- aeris isn't sure what started it, but there is some rivalry between them. whenever he sees jared, he has to start shit for the sake of it. whatever it is between them, he will uphold it because he hasn't ever been known to take the high road.

♡ @chascwilliams - aeris first spotted him at the halloween party dressed as Aladdin, and once again at the diner. they chatted, aeris flirted, he gave chase his number, and now he hopes that at the very least, chase does call him back even just to hang out.

♡ @maura-cortes - first she was zigg's girlfriend, then she ended up a name in aeris's little mental black book. he never intended on it, until the night it happened, and the moment he got the tiniest hint of attention from maura that hinted toward a green light, aeris slammed down on the gas pedal and sped right through it. of course, he didn't expect her to tell ziggy, and now she is forever branded a 'snitch' to him.

♡ @ziggykyeons - once good friends, now enemies, aeris would be lying if he tried to ever said it didn't sting at least a little bit to have ziggy cut him out like that. it also boils down to aeris thinking he overreacted, but he never bothered to try and push it. however, anytime he happens to see ziggy in town, he feels his heart fill with malice.

♡ @jordanmitchell - jordan is a fun conversationalist to him. he will flock to her if he sees her, ready for her to banter and drag him through all the shit she can give him. he won't ever win a conversation with her, he knows that, but it won't ever stop aeris from trying.

so i don’t think stands OR hamon exist in that universe first and foremost. lol. emporio is the exception there

second of all dio never existed. the pillarmen (and therefore the stone masks) never existed. kira never existed. diavolo never existed. pucci never existed. at the very least, they don’t exist the way we know them: dio couldve been a poor boy that killed his father and saved his mother because of it. kira couldve been an artist that specializes in pieces focusing on hands. diavolo couldve never been in the drug trade. pucci couldve been the one taken instead and upon hearing his mother’s confession when she’s on her deathbed, he finds perla and wes and makes amends with them.

third: george and mary joestar’s carriage never crashes

the story from there becomes: jonathan grows up an only child with a mother who loves him even if his dad is shit (and he is but this post isnt about george joestar’s sins)

anyway. he becomes an archeologist. he is brought to south america for his phd by zepelli’s sailing and journey service (family business). instead of jonathan finding his loved ones in the midst of a life or death battle, he meets speedwagon, erina, poco, zepelli (as prev mentioned), etc in the more lighthearted strain of completing his thesis

jonathan lives past 19 and enjoys a long life. his son george is born and he serves in wwi up until he learns his wife and childhood friend, lisa lisa, is pregnant, upon which he returns home before anything can happen to him

joseph is born. he grows up knowing his mother and father for real rather than the silhouettes they left over his life. he goes on his own adventures around the atlantic and pacific with caesar, who’s focus is more on doing the best he can with this nitwit cause the success of this journey is what will make or break him being handed the family business. they both end up doing spywork during wwii. they both get blown up by a submarine LMAO but they survive. no one is really sure who exactly married suzi, the ship’s cook, or who got her pregnant (and there is talk about if the man she married was not the biological father of her child), but either way holly comes into the world with essentially three parents and devoted grand and great grand parents

she grows up during uneasy cold war nationally and class war internally, specifically gang wars in new york city. hope is very important to her as a result. then she meets sadao and jotaro is born and they are more than hope; they’re a drive for her to make the world a better place. holly becomes a doctor and runs a very cheap private practice

jotaro goes back and forth between america and japan a lot; between his mom’s medical practice and his dad’s tours, he’s had kinda an unstable home, but he knows he’s loved dearly. he tries to love in return but it’s hard to find how to express that

he meets friends during his travels constantly going back and forth. from them, he learns maybe he should focus less on how to express his love and more just on the act itself; they’ll catch on from there. and they do. and they love him in return. jotaro doesn’t lose any of his friends this lifetime, even if scary things do happen (kakyoin is in a car crash right after their graduation that keeps him from walking again; avdol loses his arms and iggy his paw in a gas explosion; polnareff loses some fingers and toes that means he needs a cane more often than not)

josuke rather than being a forgotten accident this time is more of a happy one; caesar, suzi, and joseph are no strangers to inviting those willing into their bed, and tomoko is no different. somewhere between everything that happened that night, a condom probably broke, but considering their age and money, suzi, caesar, and joseph are more than able to help tomoko when she calls them scared and overwhelmed. they dont fuck around again but tomoko comes to call them good friends. josuke is born and knows all sides of his family from the start, and grows up all the more confident for it. he still styles his hair after a stranger he met once, not because the stranger saved his life, but because the stranger saved a turtle from rocks getting thrown at it, even though it was clear he didn’t really like the wrinkled skin or beady eyes or beak-like mouth of the turtle. josuke wants to be like that; willing to give justice even if he can’t understand or is scared of one side. because of this and morioh being a fairly small town, he ends up quite beloved

giorno is... notably different. for one he was born much earlier than in another universe; he is born in 1899. his father is unquestionably jonathan rather than only partially. his mother is erina. he sails with mario zepelli as his guide and friend and ends up living in italy. he becomes a politician, focused on the citizens rather than image or money or power. he is imprisoned in wwii but breaks out soon after, and focuses efforts on helping citizens all over europe immigrate and otherwise find safety. as he does this, he meets friends all over the continent; abbachio, bruno, trish, narancia, mista, and fugo. when the war ends, he returns to italy, his friends in toe. giorno doesn’t return as a politician but his sway over the general public cannot be disregarded

back in the present day, irene is born in florida. she’s still a little rough around the edges (being in such a red state in the 90s and having parents who divorced because her father came out as gay is not easy no matter the timeline), she’s still a bit of a troublemaker, but this time, due to the lessons jotaro learned from his friends, he doesn’t run from her, and irene therefore knows she is loved. she does almost get framed for murder, an adventure that leads to a bit of illegal roadtripping, a bit of bending and breaking intimidation-of-witness laws, a bit of messy feelings, but she ends up safe: her lawyer and eventual friend, annakiss, helped her out. she meets hermes, she meets wes, she meets foofighters along the way. on the way home from the ordeal after finally getting her name cleared, she meets emporio. and the same as last time, she offers her heart to him. and the same as last time, he accepts it

johnny and gappy also exist in this universe: johnny is jonathan’s cousin, who traveled all over but ended up in amercia and is why jonathan even got interested in studying across the atlantic in the first place, since the masks are no longer there to inspire him. johnny does all kind of odd jobs -- being paraplegic doesn’t help him keep a steady job -- before he ends up as a horse soldier. he quits this soon after after his friend gyro got shot in battle. they both stay in america, not wanting to risk hop across the pond to europe, and end up carving out a nice place in new york for themselves. gappy is josuke’s twin brother and while he is not as popular as his brother, he is no less beloved, given his intellect and his dorky way of showing it

this kinda got like narrative-y basically the point is no stands no hamon no world ending events per se just the joestar family finally fucking together and happy and safe. also they all have birthmarks from where they died in the main verse rather than the star birthmarks. i’ll draw this sometime. in the meantime: the fmaibly....

I watched Mitchells vs The Machines last Friday and it was… fine I guess? Don’t know how old this movie is but I guess I will use a cut just in case. Here are some more movie hot takes, I guess!

I feel like the movie wanted me to feel bad for Boomer Dad at the end of the movie but tbh I didn’t. Like the guy can barely feign interest in his kid’s art that he just has to sit and watch! I know they try and explain it like “oh he’s not good with technology” but like, most of the time, she’s loading it up for him! And the poor mom is trying to be like “hey don’t be an asshole” when Katie shows the family her latest project but he still can’t help himself and continues to be like “but what if you fail” and “I don’t get it”. Like yeah, I don’t blame Katie for wanting to get away and go to college as soon as possible. Like this girl has to deal with constant artistic rejection from her dad but he hears her say one mean thing that gets recorded and shown to him by the bad guy during a high stakes scene and it’s like “oh no how devastating” and I’m just like, “get it together dad! This is no time to nurse your ego! Also you kind of deserve it ngl”.

Also like if my dad cancelled my flight to college and pulled me out of orientation week, I too would be very pissed and uncharitable towards him. I made a good number of my university friends during that week and if the robot apocalypse hadn’t happened, she would probably have missed out on a good bonding experience with her fellow classmates. Is it the end of the world? No, but still incredibly shitty. Also I fully cringed when I heard the phrase “your eyes are nature’s camera”… this was something I’ve actually heard before, so uh, thanks for that bit I guess.

There were also a bunch of obvious quips about social media and tech, like “who would have thought that big tech companies wouldn’t have our best interests at heart” and other similar things from various characters in the movie. It felt like it wanted to make some sort of statement about tech, and while I don’t disagree with the little quips, I honestly think it doesn’t work very well in the story. As someone who has worked at similar tech companies, the portrayal of the PAL CEO as this guy who was callous about how he treated the AI antagonist but ultimately good hearted is pretty laughable. Usually what happens is that a bunch of people voice their concerns about some feature or product, and then those concerns are ignored or put on some backlog to be *addressed later* (and then languishes in some poor employee’s list of backlog tasks) and the feature/product gets launched anyway. Unless it harms the money or ~metrics~, or has the potential to turn into a big news story (even then that might not be a deterrent), good luck getting it prioritized. So I don’t think the whole “ooops how was I supposed to know that this would happen” framing of the robot uprising was a little dumb.

I guess it is a kids movie so it’s not going to be that realistic but I think it would have served the main story better if they just didn’t try and make any grand statements about technology. While the main bad guy is literally an AI, the main emotional conflicts of the story are largely about bridging the generational divide between Katie and Boomer dad, and about PAL feeling exploited by the CEO (which can happen to people too, not just AI). They didn’t need to shoehorn in the “tech can be bad, but also good sometimes” stuff, like no shit! The only half-good moment about tech in this movie is when the dad is like “wow people actually are watching my daughters movies on YouTube” or whatever but even then, it’s not so much about the technology, but about the impact of Katie’s art on others.

I liked the brother. He gave me neurodivergent vibes, and I really liked his interactions with Katie. I’m not neurodivergent so I can’t really comment on whether it was good rep or not but he felt like a fully fleshed out character.

Katie has a girlfriend at the end of the movie, which is nice but only really comes up in like the last 5 minutes afaik unless I missed some other reference. One day I hope that there will be more lgbtq rep in kids movies that isn’t just like an “oh by the way…” . Maybe I should have paid more attention to the texting/video call scenes, maybe there were hints (or more obvious things) I missed.

The mom was one of my favourite characters (alongside the dog), truly just trying her best to mediate and support her family, while trying to kick Boomer Dad into giving more of a shit. That woman deserves a nice beach holiday somewhere where she can take a break from carrying this family on her back.

Ok so i really like rottmnt, but i unfortunately only draw humans (and only recently started trying to draw mutants), which isn't too much of a problem, but it meant i drew human versions of the rise crew before i drew them in their full turtle glory. And with drawing them as humans, i came up with some bits of a story idea!

I've mostly just come up with the backstories and have some ideas for their growth as the story would progress, but it's been a while since I've even thought abt this au so it's highly unlikely I'll come up with much more of it.

Anyway! Basically the story ideas started as a "how would lou jitsu have four kids, only a couple years apart but also still have the vibe of being different species like in the show?". The answer? Different moms. That's right ladies and gentlemen, lou jitsu had a hoe phase in my au!

Lou doesn't know abt 3 of his sons (he knows abt mikey), but they all end up under his care for different reasons (which is where the story would start if it was an actual written story and not just random ideas mashed together).

I also feel like i need to warn ppl I'm a HUGE leo fan so most of my stories/ aus are focused on him or his parts are the most thought out.

Here's the actual background ideas:

Mikey:

Mikey never met his mom. She and lou were engaged and super happy when they found out she was pregnant. Unfortunately she died in childbirth. Lou did pretty well with dealing with his loss and becoming a new dad, but it was hard. Mikey did his best to cheer up his dad every chance he could, and even tried to cook for him! Everything was starting to get a bit better when all of the sudden, he has three new siblings. His father starts to spiril back into his depression. If Miley's being honest he's a little miffed that his new siblings made his dad worse, but he also doesn't understand why he's not just as happy as mikey is. Even so, he takes it upon himself to help everyone in his now much bigger family.

He's Lou's favorite, even if he doesn't mean to have favorites.

Mikey's mom was a tattoo artist and met Lou on a blind date. She has never had the same hair color for more than a month and loves bright colors. She's spunky and adventurous, mikey takes a lot after her, which is bittersweet for Lou.

Raph:

His mom was Lou's ex. They end up meeting a few years after they break up and have a fling. She's still in love with him, but he isn't. When she finds out she's pregnant she's kind of happy. She keeps the baby and tells him all about his amazing father. Years later she's sick and in the hospital. She calls Lou and asks him to help take care of her son. He agrees. Somehow the news gets out and soon after he has two women claiming he fathered their children... and they were telling the truth. He can't say yes to taking care of one child and not the others, that's bad for his image as a movie star and he can't bring himself to do it because of his morals, so he agrees.

Raph's mom isn't dead, but has been in the hospital for almost a year how and still can't take care of him.

Raph idolizes Lou and tries to be strong just like him. He's excited to learn he has younger siblings. He doesn't get why leo and donnie dont like being here, after all they're with the best man in the world! Lou gets depressed though, and raph won't lie, his opion on him changed. So raph does his best to be strong for his whole family, just like his idol from the movies! Even if he's different in real life.

Donnie:

Donnie's mom ran away from home senior year of highschool. She's very poor and lives in homeless shelters. She works all the time and drinks to cope. She and lou have one-night-stand and she can't afford abortion. She has the baby (she tries and fails to kill baby w/out hurting herself) and abandons him. She hears abt two women claiming lou jitsu is the father of their kids. She instantly recognizes him and forms a plan. She reclaims donnie, claiming she'd lost him and guilt trips lou into taking care of donnie and sending her money as compensation. She then leaves again.

Donnie hates his mother, and has a lot of trust issues. He's closed off and it takes a long time for him to open up. He's taken to playing by himself and tinkering around with whatever is in the house.

One of his foster parents had been a professor and gotten him interested in learing engineering and science.

Born the same day as leo (TWINS)

Leo:

Leo's mom is a new actress. She starts in cheesy flics, some of which being Lou jitsu's films. They get drunk at a cast party and they end up sleeping together. Later she finds out she's pregnant, but tries to play it off as her boyfriend's, but her sister (who also likes her bf and is very jealous of her) shows her bf evidence of her cheating. He leaves Leo's mom durring her 3rd trimester. Leo's mom is depressed and blames Lou and Leo by extension for her loss. She eventually turns to drugs and alcohol and neglects leo. He is mostly taken care of my nannys. He tries to be a good boy at first, but finds out acting out gets his mom's attention. This leads to him getting different nannies all the time. Eventually his mom gets so stressed and upset she overdoses. She doesn't die, but is seen as unfit to care for leo and taken away. His mom refuses to let him go into foster care or let her sister steal her baby away from her, so she tells them he's Lou jitsu's son.

Many of Leo's interactions with his mom when he lived with her were public appearances. She fussed over his looks and then just dragged him along to show off to all the other celebrities.

Here's a bit I'm a little stuck on what sex leo is born as, or if he's just intersex. It's not super important. The reason i bring it up is because no matter what, his mom raises him as a girl. Basically treats him as her own "mini-me" (think Nagisa from Assassanation Classroom). He's also going to be a trans man for this reason.

Leo is very protective of his mom and idolizes her. He tries to be just like her (especially the characters she plays in movies) as he grows up. He's obsessed with looks and is always looking for attention, even if it's negative.

Leo doesn't want to leave his mom, and acts out in hopes that, like is nannies, if he was bad enough he'd be brought back to his mom. It doesn't work though. After about a year or two his mom starts to visit him sometimes, only four times a year, since she's still unstable. But it helps.

He's very sensitive to drugs biologically and is at a high risk of getting addicted to most recreational drugs, so he needs to be careful.
