“Hyunjin,” Y/n softly called for her boyfriend from the kitchen. He was sat in their living room finishing off a song on his laptop so he was quite concentrated but still he made sure to reply.

“Hm?”

“Baby, what do you think we should take to your mums house for dinner tomorrow?” She walked over to their dining room to sit and jot down the shopping list of things she needed for the huge family dinner at his family’s home.

“I don’t know, you figure it out,” he waved her off and quickly looked back at his computer. His eyebrows were furrowed and he had his glasses on.

She let out a frustrated sigh and continued to write down the list desiding she would make some kimchi and fried rice. Perfect.

Satisfied with her list she went to change into some grocery shopping clothes and turned it the lights. “Hyunjin, I’m going grocery shopping,” she informed the older man who was pulling at his hair.

“Yeah, hm? Okay, okay,” he dismissed her again not even listening to what she had to say this cause her blood to boil. Atleast he could offer to come spend time with her but ofcourse work took all his time. It was always work, work, work.

She grabbed her wallet and closed the door behind her before quickly making her way to the convince store. It was a little chilly but nothing she couldn’t handle.

South Korea was safe after all so her being late out at night wasn’t a problem…well she thought.

It was when she was walking back to their apartments when she heard it. Footsteps. Footsteps that were following her and getting closer.

She had grocery bags in her hands that were extremely heavy and the fact that Hyunjin wasn’t there was worrying her a little bit.

She quickly turned and saw no one. Weird. Was she dreaming? She quickly started walking again but this time her footsteps got faster and so did the ones behind her.

“Excuse me miss?” She heard a rough voice calling for her. Her heart was beating at a terrible pace. Her hands were shaking.

She quickly looked behind before seeing who it was. It was a man, a scrubby looking man. He had a dirty smirk on his face and his hands were in his pocket.

“Can I help you?” She quietly said before taking a few steps back.

“Yes actually, I saw you shopping and I thought you were really-“

“Really what?” A voice growled from behind Y/n. She quickly jumped and looked up to see her pissed off boyfriend standing behind her. Towering both her and the man.

His hands automatically wrapped around her and that’s when she realized her surroundings. She was 2 blocks away from her and Hyunjin’s apartment. So this man really was following her.

“Is he your boyfriend?” The man asked in disbelief. His eyes grew wider, “Isn’t he famous?”

“I’d advise you leave before this gets ugly for you. I saw you following her and if I see you next to her ever again. I’ll make sure to break your hands off and beat you with them. Don’t think just because I sing and dance I can’t beat the shit out of you,”

Hyunjin stood infront of Y/n and pushed the man, he didn’t even try to fight Hyunjin but instead started to scurry off while cursing.

“Baby how-“

“Why the fuck are you out here in the night time without me?” He said sternly. His voice getting louder the more he talked.

He harshly grabbed the grocery bags from her hands.

“But I told you I was going grocery shopping Hyunjin plus-“

“You don’t leave the house without me at this time. You forget that you’re everyone’s target. Are you stupid?” He growled as he gently pushed her so they could start making their way to the apartments. He wanted to make sure he still had an eye on her even if he was extremely mad.

“I don’t know why you’re mad at me. I told you I was going to-“ she was hurt by his harsh words. She just wanted to explain herself.

“Then why the fuck were you not picking up my calls? Do you know how worried I got?” He was yelling now. “I told you to text me whenever your out so I know your safe, why don’t you listen Y/n,”

“Hyunjin I don’t know why your making this such a big deal but your scaring me,” she frowned as they made it inside their apartment. He slammed the door shut before throwing the bags of stuff on the dining table.

“Be careful there are eggs!” She yelped before running to check if they’re okay.

“Is that all you care about now?! You could have gotten hurt outside there. Raped! Robbed! Beaten!”

“Hyunjin stop yelling! It’s not a big deal! I always go shopping without you. Maybe your overreacting a little,” she begged for him to stop as she paced back out to the living room where he was now.

“I need to go think-“

“Think about what babe? I’m sorry okay. Just don’t leave. I- I promise I didn’t mean to. I thought you heard me when I told you I was leaving the house!”

“We need to find a way for you to be safe out there Y/n. Just let me think,”

He grabbed his jacket yet again and she chased after him clinging on his hand.

“God dammit Y/n!” He roared and raised his hand before punching the wall. She quickly flintched and fell on the floor thinking it would land on her.

She lets out a tiny squeal before shielding her head with her hands.

Hyunjin’s face quickly softens. His heart was in his throat. He couldn’t believe it. “Shit,” he softly said. His anger now slowly disappearing as guilt and worry filled his body.

“I’m so sorry baby,” he kept mumbling. He dropped his jacket and tried to grab her but she quickly scrambled away.

She was genuinely scared. She knew Hyunjin wouldn’t hit her but with the way he was reacting before she didn’t know what he was capable of at the moment.

“I- why?” She sniffled. Her eyes now streaming with tears and she quickly got off the floor and rushed to the bedroom.

Her sobs filled the room as she quickly dialed the only person she could think of.

“Channie?” She cried into the phone.

“Hm? What is it?” He frantically said as he heard her tit sniffles. “What’s wrong Y/nnie? You okay? Where are you?”

“Channie…Hyunjin he- he got angry and-“

“I’m coming over right now, stay there and stay away from him,” she could hear him shuffling around probably getting dressed. All she could do is cry.

On the other side of the door, Hyunjin was a crying mess. He didn’t expect the fight to turn left. He was going to hit her. He just blacked out for a second and her tiny screams woke him up he then realized what he had done.

“What is it Hyung?” He groaned as he sat by their bedroom door.

“Come over. Chan just called me fuming and I’m worried he’ll kill you if he finds you there,”

“But Binnie- I didn’t mean to I swear,”

“I just said come over. You need to calm down and we can talk about it okay?” He knew Changbin was right.

The comfort of knowing that Chan was on his way over was what made him leave the house not without knocking on their door first.

No answer.

He then slowly opened it to find the love of his life in a little ball. Tiny cries left her small frame but all he could do was walk over and kiss her forehead. She didn’t flinch but she didn’t react even and with that he left their shared apartment to head off to his friend’s house.

The frantic knocks on the door was what got her up. She knew it was Chan instantly and she honestly couldn’t wait for his cuddles.

“Where is he?” He marched into the house fuming.

“He- he left,” she said. Chan’s posture melted when he saw the state she was in. He felt so sorry and so bad but he knew apologizing wouldn’t do anything.

“Movie while you tell me what happened?” He pulled her into a hug as she broke down even more.

“Yes please,” she mumbled into his hoodie.

By the time the movie had ended, she was fast asleep by his side. It was a long 2 hours of him trying to calm her down and assuring her that Hyunjin didn’t mean what he did. It was probably a big misunderstanding. It took hours of convincing but he was finally able to get her to sleep and calm down.

When he heard the knock on the door he knew who it was and wasn’t shocked when the devil himself walked through the door.

“I won’t kill you,” was all Chan said before getting up and signaling for him to come hold her instead.

“Thank you Hyung, I owe you one,”

“I know you two are a young couple and it gets hard but you slowly learn how to be patient with her. I hope Binnie and leeknow told you that,”

“Trust me they gave me the longest lecture of my life and on top of that they took away all my pc privileges,” he huffed and slowly played with your hair.

“How is she?” He asked while admiring her face. It was still a little puffy and the guilt started to eat him again.

“Okay, she cried and cried but I finally got her to calm down. Just talk to her and apologize. She loved you at the end of the day,” and with that. They said their goodbyes and Hyunjin carried Y/n to their shared room. He slowly put her in bed before rushing to finish up putting the groceries away and cleaning up.

He made his way back to your room and got into bed to cuddle you but what made him smile was the way you wrapped your arms around him before whispering a tiny “I love you.”

Damn he was such a dickhead.

After picking up lando from his hotel we headed out towards the boat that the party is held taking empty wide roads to really drive the thing, drifting and doing a few donuts in an empty parking lot just for the thrill of it but making sure to actually arrive in the boat party you both got out of the car talking and laughing entering and finding Martin by the dj booth.

Greetings were exchanged talking and laughing until the second round of drinks that started to kick in hopping around, dancing and sings to the rhythm being surrounded by the Dutch men.

You two weren't fazed by the phones recording your every move because you were having fun and a little tipsy, not that you would admit it both to anyone that in fact you were drunk continuing with the drinks and having fun and just as you were getting drinks you got elbowed in the face not really hard but enough to cause a little mountain the next hour not really noticeable.

Lando in the other hand just as you were nearing him again was hit or something because his nose was bleeding you drank both of them quickly and ran up to him while near you can see the bloody roll down in this lips and teeth he smiled at you teeth bloody, you started to laugh at the situation. Someone had a first aid kit and you cleaned the wound putting a plaster on the cut and a bandage wrapped around his head loosely because you were drunk it was going to be messy.

When you finished you started to laugh again at his stupid look he looked like a mummy but who cares? You two didn't nor did the men around you so you both continued dancing, bouncing, shouting lyrics and drinking again. You weren't piss drunk you could think and walk straight and so was lando, playing some songs with martin lando djing for a bit so will could take a break, talking to you laughing and gossiping about news lately and having fun and creating the mood for the actual club that Will, Lando and you will be going to after the pre party in the boat. You were sure you will regret going to another club but current you don't care about it, future you maybe.

You weren't a light weight by any means, starting drinking from a young age and in your teenage years going out drinking almost everyday drinking made it hard for you to get drunk so you were good by half of the actual party in the club but you wouldn't say lando was the same...

Cutting your night in the what you seen fit as to lando wouldn't start throwing up but you could see he was ready to do anyway calling a taxi and telling him the directions of your hotel so you won't drive while drunk.

Taking him by his bicep and wrapping one hand around his shoulder and the other in his arm you payed for the drinks you ordered and left, waiting for the taxi to arrive he was talking to you, whispered things, making sentences up that made no sense, talking gibberish almost falling in his face while you were laughing and loose the grip around him and quickly regaining strength keeping his upright the taxi finally arrived.

Getting him inside and going arout the car so you could take care of him he laid his head in your lap while you slowly and softly graced your hand through his brown curls and stroking his cheek softly while he closed his eyes smiled and opening one eye to look up at you periodically while you made small conversations with the driver which was a fan of the sport and you learned his daughter's favourite driver was you from a young age looking up at you and asking for a photo with you, he wanted a photo with lando but he was asleep so you decided against it, when you arrived you took his phone got a selfie with him and one alone from a high angle so he was visible but not his face just his hat and hoodie that he got out with, you paid the driver and slowly got out of the car and went around the car again opening the door taking his hand waking him up a little so he can get out but he feel asleep again on you as you closed the door.

You again wrapped a hand around him and holding his other firmly you opened the hotel door and getting inside the building, the receptionist was eyeing you but you didn't care you were determined to get him safe and tugged in, heading in the elevator you waited for the doors to close and pressing the button of your level.looking at the mirror you see on your dress a bit of blood from lando's nose you looked a bit disheveled with your eye sparkly eyeshadow somehow under your eye, the lipstick long gone now in its place your lip pencil a bit smeared around the corners of your mouth, in your forehead a little knob and in lando having his head buried in your neck seamingly asleep by his slow rhythmed breathing that was hitting your neck practically hugging you, the elevator pinged letting you know that you got to your floor you started trying to wake him up to stop hugging you but he didn't budged you decide to just carry him to your door which was easier taking out your card key which luckily you took out of your wallet in the taxi and opened the door.

Upon entering you left him to the bed trying once again to gently wake him up so he could change, you left the club at 4 :30 and now you read the clock it said 5 : 30 so you did all of this in an hour and in heels... He is gonna pay fro this but for now you laid a hoodie that you had oversized and long shorts again oversized that you knew that would fit you took your pj's and headed to the bathroom, you washed your face to get rid of the make up and changed out of the dress and heels.

Going again the the bed you saw lando's clothes messily tossed around the side of the bed he was occupying and in your clothes, the hoodie was one of your merch with a red bull logo in the back and you are not gonna tell that to him, wanting him to walk out with it, he was lying in your bed the covers covering most of him but his back and head out you took a picture and tugged him in and walking to your side of the bed pulling up the covers and getting in falling asleep almost instantly, felling a pair of hands wrapping around you and a head to your neck going closer to lando cuddling up on you and falling asleep peacefully

Waking up in the morning was a struggle, you wouldn't say it was really a morning but evening waking up at 1pm by calls on your phone. Lando still asleep but starting to stir awake too by the annoying ringing of your phone you took your phone from the night stand you answered the phone without looking who it was

I said and hand up the call not waiting for max to reply and rolled over now cuddling lando and falling asleep again for a few minutes then waking up by lando leaving the bed.

After he got a shower he came back and by then I dressed up to get food because I was starving waiting for lando you go together. We did you got a few pictures with fan and got food.

After that you called max and explained everything at some point max came with us to a few stored and hung out together and took max's plane and went to Monaco each to their own homes.

Do you have any tips on what kind of food to stuff yourself with on a budget? I want to get bigger, but I have a hard time balancing price/ volume

yeah uh, don't do what i do lmao food delivery like doordash is so expensive its nuts. the easiest way to do this at restaurants is just to calculate calories to price outright, i only sort of estimate this quickly at fast food places when im deciding on items. adding milkshakes is a good boost. for grocery shopping you're basically gonna want rice, pasta, and potatoes for your meal bases, pasta is the best for stuffing imo. the price of basically everything is really high rn, but imo junk food has kind of been hit the worst. my reccomendation would be bulk stores like costco for those kinds of things. oh, and peanut butter! PB is suchhhh a good calorie food and PB&J sandwiches are mega underrated. my recommendation generally tho is to eat what you enjoy, and add calorie bombs like heavy cream and butter into your cooking. you are definitely gonna get most bang for your buck with pasta based homemade meals imo. there are sooo many recipies out there. also if the goal is gaining weight you are also gonna wanna get your snack on, in addition to stuffings (im kind of terrible at this lmao but yanno)

my whole thing is like, if the food tastes good you're gonna eat more of it, so always keep in mind your favs and preferences, keep hedonism in ur heart uwu

sanders sides as surf instructors hcs because surf lessons are the only good thing that has happened this year

patton is the one who picks up the kids and has to deal with the half hour drive to the beach

virgil just kind of showed up one day and did a bunch of tricks on a green wave, stopped two kids from getting hit by their boards and gave some great advice on how to pop up better

he's just been here ever since. i dont even think he gets paid

roman's the only actual surfer there. he's been to competitions and stuff. he would be their best instructor if he could actually explain what to do better and gave the kids more warning than "okay go"

remus loves messing with the little kiddies and the chaotic energy that comes with so many ten year olds in the same space at once

they love to hang out with him too because he's "a cool adult" and he's really fun in general

they've also nicknamed him stoner. he thinks it's hilarious

logan started a system where they brought rice and noodles for all the kids who didn't have any money to buy food after 2+ hours of surfing. now everyone eats it even though they have the money.

the food they don't eat goes to feeding the stray dogs in the area

there are a couple really young kids in the group (5 to 7). patton and remus takes care of them exclusively because they would probably fucking die in the others care. nobody knows how or why remus is capable of doing that but they aren't complaining

janus doesn't even know how to surf, but somehow he's literally the best instructor they have??

he can spot everything and anything you need to work on and explain it really well but he can't balance to save his life

also the waves highkey scare him but he keeps telling himself that if virgil can do it, he can too

chipotle order? i get either a bowl or hard tacos with white rice, black beans, queso, mild salsa, sour cream, cheese, and lettuce depending on how the lettuce looks that day. and yes i have chipotle pro tips. number one is to drizzle some honey on your chipotle. its sooooooo good. yummmmmmmy. also yes i recommend the hard tacos but they should not be ordered to go, so only get them if youre eating in. they dont travel well basically they get soggy at the bottom and then they are not hard tacos and its unpleasant but if you eat them right away i love the crunch. you get the most food in a bowl so tacos arent the most bang for your buck but i dont pay for my chipotle so whatever. i usually just get one or two hard tacos and i crush it up with a fork and eat it like that? which is weird but i like it best that way. its similar i guess to eating a bowl with chips but the taco shells dont have all the salt. and also the chips are so hit or miss because so many people are trash at frying them. but the taco shells are never fucked up. so its a good option. those are my thoughts.

Hippocrates is regarded as the father of medicine nearly two and a half thousand years ago. In 400BC he famously quoted to his students his belief that food is our medicine, and medicine is our food. He instinctively knew that certain foods were good for us without having the advantage of knowing, what we do now, about specific nutrients. Discovering medicine must have been hit and miss. Just like those first people trying different fungi in the woods, it was either live or die. How on Earth did the Ancients discover that squeezing the juice from a dead chicken or lamb's liver into the eye of a man losing his sight, would help. It often did, and now we know that liver is rich in vitamin A and this really does help. There are so many anecdotes about food and cure throughout history and one of my favourites involves a naval ship's doctor James Lind RN. Scurvy was a dreadful illness that killed and drove more sailors mad in the Royal Navy during the eighteenth century, than shipwrecks and battles combined. On long voyages, fresh vegetables and fruit were usually soon exhausted on ships. The doctor tried an experiment in 1747 on a voyage where he forced a group of sailors to drink sea water every day, another group drank vinegar, and the last lot drank lime juice. The result with the lime juice was dramatic, and cured and reversed scurvy in a short period. Needless to say, the others failed miserably. Vitamin C was not identified until 1930, so the naval doctor was also ahead of his time. On those old sailing ships the sailors were certainly not short of vitamin D. This vitamin is often called the sunshine vitamin and in UK winters, when there's not too much sunshine around, vitamin supplements such as Vitamin D3 5000iu is often recommended, particularly for elderly home bound people. Just one more example is worth recalling. A Dutch doctor in Java during the nineteenth century, found that most people in the area of that island he worked in, suffered from beriberi. This is a disease that results in heart problems and paralyses.

He noticed their chickens also suffered the same, and the common denominator was that both humans and fowl, ate white rice. He persuaded them to try eating the whole grain without removing the husk, and the results were dramatic. The husk on the outside of the grain contains a rich source of vitamin B1 and the lack of this vitamin is the cause of beriberi. If you ever hear older people complaining that in their youth they thought many fruit and vegetables had a stronger taste. Unfortunately, they're correct. The demand for all year round tomatoes and the lack of crop rotation with fallow years, means that along with chemicals, soil today has lost a lot of natural nutrients. If you want to recapture the flavours of yesteryear, then get an allotment and grow your own keeping it enriched with natural manure and compost.

Lucy Heartfilia Appreciation Prompt: Childhood/Family

I’m not nearly as creative to make headcanons or fanfics (at least with my finals-fried brain rn) but I’ll say something about her childhood that hit me deep the first time I watched Fairy Tail all those years ago (and subsequently every time after).

It was when Lucy as a child tried to hang out with her dad on her birthday, even making him a rice ball, but Jude Heartfilia shouted at her and made her run away. My heart broke for her that day. Little Lucy had gone through a lot growing up. She had no friends besides Aquarius (who wasn’t all that friendly let’s be real), she lost her mom at a young age, and had a father who was harsh and basically didn’t like her and neglected her.

I don’t like how some people hate on her for how she “doesn’t have that sad a backstory! She was a rich little princess. Look at Erza, she was a child slave” or how she "cries all the time".

Honestly, we should never compare traumas to see “who suffered the most”. Lucy was abandoned and left alone and mistreated. No child should have to go through that, no matter how rich they are. Family and friends are obviously more important than money, and Lucy had neither of the former which is traumatizing to a young child. It’s not her fault she was rich, and it’s definitely not her fault that she was treated poorly.

And I would cry that much too if I’d finally found a true home like hers with people who actually care about her for who she is, who accepts her flaws and acknowledges her good traits, who love her as one of their own despite being newer. I’d cry if that family was in danger of bodily harm or being ripped away from me. It merely shows how much she loves her family.

Plus, I always related to her the most because of her so-called “less traumatic childhood”. I didn’t have a dragon father who vanished on me, my whole family wasn’t killed by a demon, and no, I wasn’t enslaved by religious cultists to be used as a sacrifice for their lord Zeref. But I do understand Lucy’s loneliness, I do understand no one remembering my birthday, I do understand a broken home, I do understand feeling forsaken.

Her quest to find a true family resonates deeply in my heart, and that is just one of the many, many reasons why she is my favorite character in Fairy Tail.

Virek stared at the box, with various types of cookies present. Ones he’d never seen before himself, let alone tried. Even just the smell of them was enough to make his throat go tight, but someone went out of their way to make these… Likely not for him specifically, but they were made. And wasting food isn’t good.

❝ A taste couldn’t hurt, right..?❞

The vanilla flavoured sugar cookies appeared the safest to him, as he broke one of them in half— Some of the sugar they were rolled in dusting the counters.

There was a shakiness to his had. The boy knew the outcome. He knew the cookies were absolutely wasted on him— But there was this engraved obligation to eat what he was given, so it wouldn’t go to waste…

However the moment the treated hit his tastebuds, he felt himself grimace; his throat already feeling tight. And, by the time he moved to swallow, he was already heaving over his trash bin. Knees flat against the floor, as small tears brimmed in the corners of his eyes.

The cookie wasn’t bad… Virek was sure it tasted wonderfully, baked and handled with skill. But he just couldn’t. Not right now.
