In this episode, we talk about the challenges we face as Christian parents trying to raise kids who stay true to their identity in a culture that pushes back against biblical values. We discuss insights from real-life situations, like how cultural shifts are affecting family dynamics, and how we’re trying to guide our kids through these identity challenges. We talk about the dangers of letting culture define who we are, and why it’s so important to root our identity in what God says about us. Plus, we explore how to balance protecting our kids from harmful influences while also preparing them to think critically about the world around them.
We keep it practical, encouraging fellow parents to build strong, biblical foundations early on, helping our kids develop a sense of belonging and purpose rooted in God's love. We chat about the cultural pressures that can shake this identity and share our thoughts on how Christian families can stick together and stay grounded in their faith.

A Letter to my Son
Do what your head deems wise,
and do not fray,
no room for cowardice, thereafter,
come what may,
and fret not, I will tell my son, for we are all equally doomed,
to each their own troubles, to each their wounds,
suffer you must, misery ails all alike,
but do not cast upon others, what you deem right,
all mortals are afflicted,
with ideas, thoughts, emotions,
their own or someone else's,
do not let up, I will tell my son, lest you sink,
amidst,
the ocean of adequacy that covets us all,
the ideas of virtue and sin that besiege each soul,
the turmoils of the mind, that wish to crush us so,
You're owed your share of fuck ups, as is everyone else,
learn from them, forgive and forget,
and no demons will haunt your grave more then theirs,
for every man must pay his dues and no one else's,
pay no heed, concede no room,
live, regardless, and plentiful,
laugh heartily, for you're owed that too,
work tirelessly for that's what great men do,
love verily, and yourself first,
for WHO ELSE shall bear to live with you,
if you do not learn to live with yourself.

Quote 28 : Apology to the oldest child- a parent's confession
I’m not sure parents say this, but I’m certain they feel it. Because being a parent isn’t easy and certainly not, the first time around, which for some may be the only time around. There are bound to be mistakes which may not be obvious, and there may be no witnesses other than one’s conscience. Does that mean it’s okay? Or do the children deserve an apology,…
