Ok so the Skirk part confused me like she’s childe’s master and her master owns the narwhal? And is connected to Rhindottir?

So I looked it up and what??? Childe was in the abysss??

Also Surtalogi is one of the sinners of Khaenri’ah ok everything is connected to that like Nicole said something about how to look in places where the gods gaze doesn’t fall for like a solution to the problem with the Fontaine prophecy which is very similar to something Dain said about Khaenri’ah iirc??? And the fact that Skirk showed up when we fought the whale thingy which is apparently from space?? I feel like all Teyvat was created by the heavily principles and they want their bidding done and unknown god enforces it. Skirk and the whale fall outside of that as does the abyss and side note??? I want to know more about the abyss like you can just learn stuff there? It it like a physical place or??? Why is it bad exactly? I mean the order wants to kill Teyvat people for no reason. I get the impression it wasn’t the archons but heavenly principals who destoyed Khaenri’ah the archons were just defending their countries including Rex, anyway. So yeah Khaen probably effed up but the intentions may not have been bad. People who seriously take HP side after Fontaine…bruh. Yes playing God is usually bad but also no one should have absolute authority over people. The punishment does not fit the crime imo. Like surely there were innocent people who didn’t need to be cursed right? Also same w the Fontanian I digress. Why wouldn’t the principles punish Focalours and not all the people? It’s nuts.

So yeah. Khaen effed up but so did the principles and some archons aren’t great. Point is that all of this is connected and it’s crazy I’m super invested. The story of this game is freaking insane. Not to mention the Fatui casually obtaining the gnoses like shits gonna hit the fan when the Fatui makes a new fake God is it gonna fight against the loom of fate or something or would they team up to destoyed Celestia? Also I’m against celestial but also against abyss order and Fatui and just want everyone to be happy 😭. I’m scared cuz eirher the game will say HP is right because they can’t all be bad guys right? But they are they really are! The abyss order is wrong for wanting to kill people. Also I get the impression the abyss is just an empty place like nothing and will slowly drain you or make you go mad idk and maybe the order thinks they can make it a perfect world but it’s just not realistic and they probably think human emotion is stupid oe soemthing headcanon lol but it makes sense. Idk.

thinking about how Mark is "babygirlified" in every relationship he's ever had and what that has to be like when he's in a relationship with Rex, who when he's at his prime, is a bit of an over confident playboy "lady's man"...

I know the babygirlification has to be going crazy. I'm sure that at times their relationship is very "just guys being dudes" but also Mark does want to be someone pretty princess who gets tossed around and lays in Rex's lap like he owns the spot (he does).

and Rex is well equipped, especially if Marks his first guy (at least in a while) and he's just moving on muscle memory. he holds him by the waist from behind when they're together (especially in public 😩🙏). he kisses the back of his neck. if Mark is standing in front of him while he's sitting, like if Mark's changing, he's kissing his tummy. he goes to put his hair behind his ear. if they have to share a chair, instead of squeezing next to eachother, Rex's just had him side sit on his lap. stuff like that.

(not that guy's can't do this to each other or it's strictly m/f, but y'know, stereotypical m/f things)

Mark had to be strong and invincible and brute force all the time. very masculine by the nature of societal lenses. let him be babygirl with his boyfriend. let Rex put his experience to good use.

I will never be tired of Mlp x Invincible Crossover, ok. This idea will never stop being INCREDIBLE TO ME. Though, I realized very quickly their hero names are honestly mlp-adjacent names? Still gave 'em new ones anyway! Plus Rex having explosion-like cloud marks all over 'em and tail lookin' like fire. Kate was sm harder, but I decided she'd be a cursed earth pony! Considering the mirror pool does exactly what her power entails, she could've been bestowed or cursed with its power somehow? Plus, variety of the cool purple shades in her hair, because... I like it. In retrospect, like to think she always has slightly shiny fur because of the curse too, and could get mistaken as a crystal pony, so please pretend she is shiny.

so. uh. yyyyyeah. when i said i liked all interpretations of their dynamic equally i uh. i lied. and to be totally and completely and 100% honest with you it speaks volumes to the state of the internet that i have been legitimately afraid to say that like i've genuinely been debating and turning it over in my head and arguing with myself about it for days because i don't want people frickin' YELLING at me and telling me to off myself because i like a dadgum fictional ship but it's valentine's and my friend has been hyping up the crap outta me so i'm past the point of having a reasonable excuse to chicken out (and i know myself and if i don't do it today then i likely won't do it at all)

anyway words actually cannot express how obsessed i am with post-o66 aus in which they stay together (largely because i so completely refuse to believe they'd be willing to split up after THAT, ESPECIALLY that soon) so yeah shoutout to the softest fluffiest gut-punch-iest pair in the galaxy to whom everything bad has happened but who stay silly despite the horrors

So I’m going through all my bookmarks ahead of starting True Colors and I ran into this fun one in Hard Contact:

It was just so jarring at this point to know where they end up and see this “shared trauma” description because, well, absolutely.

Sure they had a meet-cute, to a degree,

and I found Darman’s faith in her as a driving force for her success and his interest to be sweet. But the trauma of their critical mission on Qiilura and first kills in action is also the basis of this bond. Not that Darman would probably notice given *gestures vaguely at the state of clone childhood*

I felt a little guilty about reading the book with my ship-brain turned on after reading those lines about the irrevocable bond of shared trauma. But it makes for an interesting dynamic, so much that I realized I have seen it before and been powerless not to ship…

I watched TCW S7 and Rebels in rapid succession (last year maybe?) and was devastated about how long Ahsoka and Rex had been apart and was definitely filling those gaps in time in with ship-brain before that.

I didn’t ever think about it that way until the season finale when they only had each other at the end of all the Order 66 devastation (while I think they held equal power and footing before then between Rex’s experience and bio age vs Ahsoka’s force powers and hierarchical military position over him, she was still baby, so no). Not saying that’s why anyone else chooses to ship but damn, the siege of Mandalore, Order 66, and the potential joint healing in the rebellion era really flipped that switch for me. There is so much love there, that is undeniable in canon, but it feels like the exceptional horror of the shared experience they had with Rex fighting Order 66 and them losing everyone else to it made me more inclined to view a potential for romance too.

So yeah. I’m a little unsettled now that I think about both ships together and rexsoka foundations, but who am I to deny fictional characters some comfort? Trauma-bond ships, am I right?
