summary:
(A STARRING ROLE SPIN-OFF) Choi San deals with the mortifying ordeal of falling in love.
playlist (tba) // my main masterlist // moodboard (tba)//click to donate to Palestine
notes; i bet you thought you'd seen the last of both me and sr!san well you're wrong! tell me if you want to be added to the taglist
snippet;
As he didn't have a disgustingly large amount of generational wealth to back him up nor parents who dabbled in political meddling and occasional blackmail like some of his peers, San always knew that he would have to fight tooth and nail for his spot in the world.
This would seem fairly overdramatic if all he was seeking out of life was a stable job and paid bills, of course: he was, after all, the son of a middle school teacher and a man that had several jobs which he never did right because hey, they never had much so San should've been satisfied with anything.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how one would look at it), Choi San was too ambitious for his own good. Having been born and raised in the small town of Namhae which was nothing more than an old supermarket some (nobody under the age of fifty) considered a shopping mall and a small beach - the moment he left for college, he swore that he'd never be back there again for nothing more but the holidays. And simply leaving Namhae wasn't enough, no, you see San's goal was money, more money than he would ever need. Bitterness could be considered a man's biggest motivator to get something done and spending his childhood and early adolescence watching his mother work day and night to make sure the bills are paid just for no money to be left spare sure did make San bitter. Call him shallow and materialistic but to San, money most definitely could buy some happiness.
And so, with that thought in mind (placed by no-one else but himself) since the tender age of twelve when he first visited Seoul for a football game and saw what exactly he's been missing out on living in Namhae, San poured everything he had into his studies until he landed a scholarship for Seoul National University in the field of Electrical Engineering. He had been strategic in his choice of career. Electrical engineering required just enough work and brains for it to be considered a lucrative degree and used just enough engineering principles to keep him interested in the job.
And San was excellent at his job. He was quick and efficient, precise and absolutely never wrong. Getting hired to work at one of South Korea's most renowned automobile manufacturing companies not long after he got his degree didn't come as a surprise to no-one. He was competent. The problem with competence and climbing the business ladder though was that it was rewarded with increasingly complex projects almost every month.
And so, our opening scene: A Thursday morning, sometime in January. Amidst the white cubicles on the third floor of Zenith Motor Company, Mr. Kim was doling out new projects to his top engineers with a vengeance.
"Jung, this ones for you," He smacks Jaehyun over the head with the folder before dropping it unceremoniously on his desk, "And try not to get doughnut smudges all over this one."
"Byun, you're continuing the testing from last month." Jaebum nods his head, eyes barely moving from the computer screen in front of him. Mr. Kim continues with an eye roll, "Lim, new model that needs surveillance."
He continues down the room throwing down casefiles as he goes until he stops by San's desk with a smile, "Choi, since you did so well on the Genesis project I'll let you choose."
"What are my options?" San asks, leaning back in his chair as two files are thrown onto his desk.
Mr. Kim looks down onto his clipboard. "Mr. Jinyoung needs help with the 3D design for-"
Mr. Jinyoung is one of San's bosses.
"-the new model that we're ready to turn in for production. You could send him an e-mail but I wouldn't, he's a bit...difficult to be around these days."
Mr. Jinyoung is also the husband of one Son Danbi, the thirty-four year old woman that San got...very familiar with for a groundbreaking six times at his apartment before he learned that Danbi is a bit too clingy and his job actually might be at stake if she keeps calling the office asking for San instead of her husband. Three times in a row.
She didn't handle San deciding it's best to stop seeing each other very well.
Getting fired for sleeping with his boss' wife and probably getting his nose broken (for the second time over a woman) when his boss' wife inevitably has a meltdown and exposes how San fucked her into his mattress six times once San refuses to meet up with her out of newfound respect for the man she's married to (read: he's scared that he'll get sacked) or literally anything else. The choice was quite obvious.
"I'll take the second option." San quips with ease as he flips over the folder.
"Research and development for a new model! I was hoping you'd pick that one and am not disappointed, you never back down from a challenge." Mr. Kim comments with a grin that San returns because he's been kissing his ass too long to stop now. "You're working with another engineer from the second floor."
San nods and, as Mr. Kim keeps going down to the next cubicle, his eyes sweep over the file and stop at the bottom of the page where one out of two people tasked has already signed their name. In neat handwriting;
Y/L Y/N
He bites back a groan, eyes falling shut and he can hear the Head of the office keep rattling off assignments somewhere in the background.
Nothing registers because suddenly, San remembers honey skin, judging eyes and a sharp tongue and wonders if getting his nose broken a second time right before getting fired by Mr. Jinyoung and losing his entire career would've been the wiser option.

Can you tell a distinctive features of gallifreyan kids from newborn to teens, bodily(biological),psychological and social?
What are the distinctive features of Gallifreyan children and teenagers?
Gallifreyan childhood is more of a slow bake than a two-minute microwave job. Unlike human kids who race through two decades, Gallifreyans develop over about a hundred years, with huge changes in physiology, psychology, and social roles.
👶 Infant
Biological:
Oldbloods may have only one heart until their first regeneration.
Baseline temperature is higher (16.5–20.5°C) and metabolic activity is rapid.
Highly vulnerable to cold, due to underdeveloped internal regulation systems.
Rapid cellular development.
Motor skills are still refining.
Psychological:
Demonstrates early cognitive ability beyond human standards—memory retention and puzzle-solving are noticeably sharp.
Early expression of genetic instincts, like unease near time anomalies or innate threat recognition.
Psionics not yet under control—leakage or feedback may occur, but is usually minor.
Social:
Raised communally by their House, with early life focused on tutors and caretakers rather than a family construct.
Social contact is minimal and highly structured; play exists, but it's closer to enrichment activities than fun.
🧒 Child
Biological:
Enhanced healing and notable physical resilience.
Still vulnerable to the cold and sleep as much as human children.
Psionic activity becomes more erratic—false positives in consciousness tests are likely common due to unstable telepathy.
Psychological:
Developing emotional regulation but prone to psionic outbursts or passive telepathic bleed-through.
Memory probably becomes extremely long-term oriented—what they learn here may last through multiple incarnations.
Time sense may begin to stir, often without explanation or awareness.
Social:
Around 8, they're pulled from their House and placed into an Academy. This is abrupt, isolating, and an honour.
Children are sorted into Chapters, which shapes their sense of identity.
Expect fierce academic competition, House pride, and low tolerance for anyone not conforming.
🧑 Teenager
Biological:
Will appear 16–18 for decades.
Healing abilities and stamina are high; cardiovascular resilience becomes adult-standard.
Sleep as much as human teenagers.
Psionics stabilise just enough to be dangerous—sudden bursts of clarity, and accidental mind-reading or thought broadcasts are all possible if they're not paying attention in psionics class.
Psychological:
Time sense begins to assert itself, causing temporal dysregulation, especially during stress.
Puberty is complex—neural rewiring occurs, and with it comes emotional extremes, sensory overload, and identity instability.
Social:
Teen Gallifreyans begin to really self-define. Many will conform, some will not...
🏫 So…
Gallifreyan children are not smaller Time Lords. They're complex, biologically volatile beings navigating psionic development, sensory overload, time perception, and cultural rigidity. They build themselves over a century, and their Houses keep a very close eye on what they're building.

Note
men have significantly faster reaction times than women.
So, in general, no.
This 2011 review of research [1] found that gender differences in reaction time depend on the type of test. Males performed faster on some tests, females performed faster on others, and on others there was no difference. Further, the size of these differences was extraordinarily small (e.g., milliseconds). Not seeing the same results across multiple testing modalities suggests the observed differences are likely spurious.
Further, this 2006 meta-analysis on 21 studies over a 73-year period [2] found that the sex difference in "simple visual reaction time" has decreased over the past seventy years. The gap is also considerably lower outside of the USA. Together, this suggests that, like many other purported sex differences, the observed gap is the result of cultural differences. They specifically suggest that women's increasing participation in sports could account for both the historical gap and the closing trend.
An additional confounding factor was proposed in 2006 [3] which found "women were initially slower than men, but became faster than men across a block." After the first two trials within a block, the gender difference in simple visual reaction time disappeared. They also describe how "women, although initially slower, were also initially more accurate." Suggesting that "men are less cautious than women when approaching a new task." So, in other words, this is – again – likely a result of differences in gendered socialization that encourage women to be more cautious and careful than men.
Furthermore, the utility of reaction times is an open question, even within psychological research [4]. In the "real world" there is little evidence of any meaningful differences in reaction time. For example, there were no gender differences in reaction time in a driving simulator [5], between male and female police academy students [6], or for emergency medical workers [7].
The only scenario in which this may be relevant is in the most elite sprinting sports. Even then, the evidence is mixed. Some evidence suggests men may have a faster reaction time to the sprinting events; other research contests this. Some suggests they do, but only under specific circumstances. Other evidence suggests the point is moot since initial reaction time isn't correlated with performance; other work disputes that. [8-9] (Or is the observed difference not due to reaction time at all, and instead a side effect of some other known physical sex difference?)
Ultimately, there is little evidence supporting the idea that men have faster reaction times than women. Observed differences are likely an artifact of research design and/or a result of gendered socialization. Most importantly, there is even less evidence of any “real-world" impacts, with the only possible concern being for the most elite athletes in very specific speed sports.

Downloaded octocon and have few things to say
Very barebones app right now. Can't do a tag within a tag, which is very inconvenient when needing to organise thoroughly
EG: We like to have folder for "Call To Front" in which are sub-categories of each role for the headmate to choose from. Also folder for "Age" divided into multiple different age groups and mental vs appearance age
Haven't gotten used to visuals yet so may be based on not being used to it, but the design feels very hard to read and inaccessible for us. The accessibility options are very limited right now. It is visually pleasing and has a few different options for the layout but would appreciate more accessibility options especially as low mobility and poor fine motor skills person. Also no way to search for alter right now which is inconvenient especially as have poor memory and use keywords to find alters through searches
The stealth mode works well based on test
Alter descriptions can be padded out with custom fields. However options for types of custom field are limited to text, number and Y/N rn
Think if want to get app, should wait until few updates to improve but for now seems like very good improvement as it is anti endo. Has lots of potential!

Characterization Cheat Sheet: Jerran Thorne
Following @seizethemage-main and @booksncatsworld ‘s lead. This is meant to only be a guide, not a rule, so don’t feel pressured to follow this to a T!
Tumblr media
General:
Full name: Jerran Thorne
Gender: Cis Male
Pronouns: He/Him
Race: City Elf
Age: 20
Nationality: Northern Thedas (Doesn't claim a country since he's traveled all over)
Faction: Grey Wardens
Skills: Archery, Sword fighting, whittling small figurines, being a pain.
Languages: Common/Trade, Elven (learned in childhood, a bit rusty).
______
Body Language/Physicality
General Behavior:  Jerran is outgoing, fun-loving, and full of energy. Basically channel your inner Sokka from Avatar: the Last Airbender.  He often plays up the “dumbass” role to keep people at a distance and throw them off balance, but he observes more than you would think. A lot of the pushing buttons is deliberate to either make a point, or test someone so that he can make a judgement call.
He votes with his feet. If he thinks the idea is stupid or doesn't respect you, he just leaves.
With Friends: Generally Golden Retriever puppy or cat on zoomies. He has no problem running up to friends and flinging an arm over their shoulder if they’re comfortable with it. With others who need a less-energetic approach, he’ll try to tailor it to their preferences.
Flirting: Absolutely awkward. Scratching the back of his head, shifting his weight, tongue-tied. “Girls are hard to talk to” attitude.
With an Established Romantic Partner: (Eleanor Ingellvar**) His demeanor relaxes and his eyes soften. He doesn’t feel like he needs to play a role, so everything is genuine. Softer voice, bigger grins. Acts protective if his partner is on the smaller side. He wants to try hard to please his partner, so he’ll try to learn everything that she likes, even if he’s terrible at it.
In Combat: His eyes sharpen and he becomes more focused on his objective. His movements become more deliberate. He makes split-second decisions and acts decisively. If he sees what he thinks is a better opinion, he will disregard orders and do it instead. He’s actually quite capable at combat, but is more comfortable using his bow and arrows and grenades. He was often sent out as a scout in the mercenary band and in his previous Grey Warden squad.
He fights dirty in battle-- he will absolutely target an enemy's weakest points, stab them in the back, or slit their throat if it means he and his team will come home.
He is also cross-dominant, meaning that he switches sides depending on the task. His right side is reserved for fine motor skills (writing, picking things up, eating, whittling) while his left side does the more physical aspects (shooting his arrows, sword fighting, kicking, throwing). This often gives him an advantage because most enemies don’t expect him to be left-handed. He can switch to his right side in combat, but it’s not pretty.
_________
Dialogue/Speaking
Voice: His voice is in the tenor range (think Jeremy Jordan, most of the Disney Aladdin actors, or Jeff Berg - Rook’s American Male option, medium).  A casual, playful tone that can be snarky.
General: His vocabulary tends to be simpler, with maybe an out-of-place phrase that he heard someplace and is repeating. He stumbles over larger words, often mispronouncing them. He goes straight to the point, no dancing around the subject. He tends to do really bad puns as well. Uses fillers like, "Uh... um...."
With Friends: His speech will be sprinkled with swearing and creative euphemisms for the Maker’s various body parts.
Superiors/Leaders: He’ll be slightly more professional than with friends if he respects you.
Romance: He uses a more gentle and genuine tone; he’s not playing the dumbass role with his partner. There may be casual swearing, but it’s less prominent. He’s earnest, wanting to try hard to please his partner.
Humor: Channel your inner Sokka: the more serious the situation, the more blasé he gets. It’s when he drops the humor that it’s an Oh Shit moment.
Anger: He drops the act and becomes aggressive. He flattens his tone and clips his words. The sentences are shorter and harder with no banter. When he gets to this point, he is going to burn bridges and raze the land.
If he doesn’t respect someone, he doesn’t bother to pretend to hide it. He deliberately mispronounces the gods’ names as an insult; he won’t waste the brainpower to remember them properly.
Cursing: Swears in casual speaking, often with just a single “Fuck.”  “Shit, goddamn” are also favorites. He also casually uses the Maker and Andraste’s name in vain: “Andraste’s tits,” “Maker’s balls,” “Maker’s little toe.”
Combat: He doesn’t have time to be funny; it’s all clipped words and “get the job done” attitude. Much like Anger, but without the “burning the land” aspect.
Post-Minrathous Reaction

The Role of Relays and Timers in Industrial Automation Systems
Tumblr media
In the world of industrial automation, efficiency, safety, and precision are crucial. Among the many components that contribute to a well-functioning automated system, relays and timers play a foundational role. These devices act as control elements that manage the flow of electricity, signal processes, and coordinate timing sequences — ensuring that operations run smoothly and safely.
In this article, we’ll explore how relays and timers work, their types, applications in automation systems, and how high-quality products — like those offered by Enza Electric — can enhance performance and reliability in industrial settings.
What Are Relays?
A relay is an electromechanical or electronic switch used to control a circuit by a separate low-power signal or multiple signals. In industrial automation, relays act as a bridge between the control system and the equipment being operated — allowing machines to be turned on or off automatically.
Types of Relays Commonly Used in Automation:
Electromechanical Relays (EMRs): Use physical moving parts; reliable and easy to maintain.
Solid-State Relays (SSRs): No moving parts; faster switching, longer lifespan, and better for high-speed applications.
Thermal Overload Relays: Protect motors and equipment from overheating.
Control Relays: Designed for controlling multiple contacts simultaneously in automation systems.
What Are Timers?
Timers are devices used to delay or repeat electrical signals at predetermined intervals. They help synchronize tasks, automate sequences, and provide controlled outputs over time — critical for complex industrial processes.
Common Timer Functions:
On-delay and off-delay timing
Interval timing
Cyclic or repeat cycle operation
Flashing and sequencing operations
Types of Timers:
Analog Timers: Manual dial settings, simple and cost-effective.
Digital Timers: Offer precise programming, displays, and flexible timing ranges.
Programmable Timers: Ideal for complex automation routines requiring multiple sequences.
Key Roles in Industrial Automation Systems
1. Process Control and Sequencing
Relays and timers enable automated machines to follow a specific sequence — turning motors, lights, or pumps on and off in a logical order. For example, a conveyor system can use a relay-timer combination to control material flow with millisecond precision.
2. Safety and Protection
Relays protect systems by interrupting circuits in case of faults. Combined with timers, they can ensure delay before activating emergency stop functions, preventing false triggers and increasing worker safety.
3. Load Management
In high-demand industrial environments, relays help manage load distribution by selectively energizing or de-energizing machinery. Timers assist in staggered starts, reducing power surges.
4. Energy Efficiency
By automating start/stop functions and managing operation durations, timers help reduce unnecessary energy use. Relays ensure only the necessary loads are powered, minimizing wastage.
5. System Monitoring and Feedback
In smart automation, relays provide feedback signals to the control system. Timers assist with diagnostics by creating intervals for testing or data collection.
Benefits of Using High-Quality Relays and Timers
Choosing the right components significantly impacts system performance and longevity. Enza Electric’s relays and timers are engineered with:
High durability for tough industrial environments
Precision timing for reliable operation
Easy installation and compact designs
Compliance with international safety and quality standards
By integrating Enza’s low-voltage solutions, businesses in the GCC, MENA, and Africa regions benefit from cost-effective, scalable automation that supports both current needs and future expansion.
Common Applications in Industrial Sectors
Manufacturing Plants: Control of motors, robotic arms, and production lines.
HVAC Systems: Timed control of fans, compressors, and dampers.
Water Treatment Facilities: Sequenced operation of pumps and valves.
Packaging Machinery: Relay and timer-based coordination of packing, sealing, and labeling.
Food and Beverage Industry: Process automation with hygiene-compliant controls.
Final Thoughts
Relays and timers are the silent operators behind the success of industrial automation systems. From process optimization to enhanced safety and energy management, these components are indispensable.
When sourced from a trusted manufacturer like Enza Electric, businesses are not only investing in reliable hardware but also in the longevity, scalability, and safety of their entire operation.

U.S. F-16 Fighters Shot Down Drones with Laser-Guided Rockets in Combat
F-16 APKWS shoot drones
The U.S. Air Force has officially employed for the first time laser-guided 70mm rockets in the air-to-air role during operations in the Red Sea over the course of 2024. The Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System II (APKWS II) guided-rockets were deployed from F-16 Viper multirole fighter jets to engage hostile drones launched by the Houthis, the Iranian-backed Yemeni militia.
The U.S. Air Force confirmed that F-16 fightes used Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System 70mm guided rockets in the air-to-air role in combat to shoot down Houthi drones. The APKWS IIU.S. Operations in the Red Sea against the Houthis
The U.S. Air Force has first announced back in 2019 that the APKWS II, originally developed as a low-cost air-to-ground precision munition, had been tested successfully in the air-to-air role, but until now no operational use of the weapon in this role has been disclosed. The details of the combat debut of the APKWS II in this new role are still scarce, with no knowledge of how many guided rockets were employed, how many Houthi drones have been shot down with the weapon, and the exact timeline of the engagements.
A U.S. official told to The War Zone few days ago that the APWKS II air-to-air capability was first employed last year “as one of many options for countering the Houthi UAS threat.” The official added that “It is a lower-cost option compared to the AIM-9X. That lower cost is one of the benefits of using it.”

The APKWS II
The AGR-20 Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System II (APKWS II) is a conversion of the Hydra 70 unguided rockets which adds a laser guidance kit to the baseline weapon, turning it into a precision-guided munition (PGM). The Hydra 70 is itself derived from a previous weapon, the 2.75-inch (70 mm) Mk 4/Mk 40 Folding-Fin Aerial Rocket (FFAR) of the late 1940s, a system widely employed in the Korean and Vietnam wars.
By adding a guidance section to a cheap rocket (inserted in the middle of the rocket, between the 10-pound high-explosive warhead at the front and the Mk66 Mod 4 rocket motor at the rear), the U.S. Air Force has therefore been able to obtain low-cost smart munitions that can be used in the air-to-ground role. These are particularly useful when the full warhead of larger bombs (like JDAM) and missiles (like the AGM-65 Maverick or AGM-114 Hellfire anti-tank missiles) is not needed to obtain the desired effects or not suitable due to the danger of collateral damages.
The guidance section of the APKWS includes four foldable wings with wing-mounted laser seeker collection optics with a wide field of view which enable to engage both moving and stationary targets. BAE Systems, which produces the weapon, says that “no modifications are required to the rocket, firing platform or fire control system,” with the only known modification being a longer variant of the LAU-131/A 7-round rocket launcher normally employed by the U.S. Air Force, called the LAU-131 A/A (the Navy uses the AGR-20 with the similar LAU-68 F/A).
Tumblr media

The APKWS is also being used in a novel surface-to-air mode as a Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) to engage low-flying, slow and cheap drones. Specifically, the weapon has been included in the Electronic Advanced Ground Launcher System (EAGLS) employed by the U.S. military in the Middle East and the U.S.-supplied VAMPIRE (Vehicle-Agnostic Modular Palletized ISR Rocket Equipment) used by Ukraine to counter Russian drones.
The U.S. Navy also announced in late 2023 that it was about to deliver a new proximity-fused warhead for APKWS II rockets, optimized for use against drones, albeit developed ostensibly for the surface-to-air role. However, further developing an air-to-air capability out of these older rockets is another impressive feat for the U.S. Air Force, that has now the possibility to engage targets at a very small fraction of the cost of other existing missiles.
While a current beyond visual range radar-guided AIM-120 Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM) is priced at more than $1 million each and an AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II has a price tag of around $420,000, the guidance section of an APKWS II only costs around $15,000, with the full APKWS II round only costing a few thousand dollars more (to include the warhead and the motor).

The low cost of the APKWS II comes with some restrictions, as the weapon is shorter ranged than the current USAF missiles, and the warhead is also smaller. However, against slow and cheap targets like drones, the AGR-20 can provide the Air Force with a highly cost-effective weapon.
Moreover, the APKWS II can provide American jets with deeper magazines for air-to-air munitions, as they can be carried in a 7-shot rocket pod on a single hardpoint that could otherwise take only a single AIM-9X or AIM-120 missile. The F-16 is also able to carry two LAU-131/As with the standard 70 mm unguided rockets on each pylon by using a triple ejector rack, although it is unclear if this capability is also available for the LAU-131A/A with the AGR-20.
This feature could come in hand while facing swarm or saturation attacks from enemy drones, a tactic that has already been used by Russia in their aggression of Ukraine, by Iran in their attacks on Israel and sometimes on a smaller scale even by the Houthis. The high cost of the interceptors against these cheap targets and the magazine size of the launching platforms have been two of the main concerns highlighted by forces countering these attacks.

U.S. Operations in the Red Sea against the Houthis
The U.S. military has been involved since late 2023 in operations with a multi-national coalition in the Red Sea, in the Gulf of Aden and in the area of the Bab el-Mandeb strait against the Iranian-backed Houthi militia operating out of Yemen. The Houthis started attacks on civilian shipping in the area after the terrorist attack of Hamas on Israel of Oct. 7, 2023.
To support Hamas, Houthis employed both aerial and naval drones, in addition to missile attacks, against shipping routes while also launching sporadic long-range drone and ballistic missile attacks on Israel. After the UN Security Council adopted Resolution 2722 in January 2024, condemning the Houthi attacks and reaffirming the freedom of navigation, the United States launched Operation Prosperity Guardian, aimed at protecting civilian shipping and reducing the Houthi threat, with the first airstrike against Houthis dating back to Jan. 12, 2024.
Over the course of one year, the warships and aircraft involved in Operation Prosperity Guardian have engaged multiple times Houthi targets, including land strikes to remove military capabilities from the terrorist group, and engagements to shoot down drones and missiles launched from Yemen.
Tumblr media
The Carrier Air Wing 3, aboard the aircraft carrier USS Eisenhower (CVN-69), logged 14,000 sorties, 32,000 flight hours and 15,000 arrested landings during a lengthy deployment in the Red Sea, while its F/A-18E/F Super Hornets and E/A-18G Growlers shot more than 60 air-to-air missiles. Operation Prosperity Guardian also included the first long-range operational use of B-2 stealth bombers against Yemen, with the stealth bombers flying all the way from their home base at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, and the combat debut of the F-35C carrier-based stealth fighter jets.
Interestingly, the U.S. Navy recently announced that an MH-60R Seahawk helicopter, an upgraded variant of the original UH-60 Black Hawk developed for naval use, has been involved in the shoot-down of a Houthi drone, but it is unclear what weapon was involved and when this happened. Probable candidates for the achievement are however restricted to only a few weapon system, including the AGM-114 Hellfire missile, the very AGR-20 Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) also used by U.S. Air Force’s F-16s, or on-board machine guns.

Development History of the Command Wolf
And the zoids that came from it, which the internet at large seem to have forgot.
I'll note here that the following took place on the continent of Delpoi according to the Zoids Bible lore book, making this zoids a separate species than the later Konig Wolf, which originate on the continent of Europa.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Source & further reading: https://theironbible.com/IndexZoids/CommandWolf.php)
Tumblr media
This role will later be filled by the Shadow Fox after the Liger Zero becomes the primary infantry zoids of the Helic Republic. (Source: https://theironbible.com/ZoidBooks/OfficialFanBook/1-9.php)
Tumblr media
I adore the HMM boxes because that have the most complete breakdown of technical details I have ever seen. Source & further lore: https://theironbible.com/ZoidsModelKits/HMM/CommandWolf.php
From the base models we get several variants, from the very well-known Irvine custom and the Command Wolf AC:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Source & Advanced Lore: https://theironbible.com/ZoidsModelKits/HMM/CommandWolfAC.php
And Of course Town Wolf:
Tumblr media
Blitzer and Climber Wolf:
Tumblr media
The Blitzer Wolf was actually the creation of one Yusuke Chiba has an entry in the 2nd CoroCoro Zoids Remodeling Grand Prix which was held in 11/2000 and won the wind-up category. The Blitzer Wolf, like the motorized winner, Death Stinger KFD, were featured in the Zoids Official Fan Book 3 and the wolf was also added to the card game. (Source: https://theironbible.com/IndexZoids/BlitzerWolf.php)
Now moving onto the unused concepts, firstly comes:
Tumblr media
This fuselage was apparently intended to compete with the Imperial Lightning Saix, but the power demands on the core were too high and it was scrapped after several unsuccessful prototypes were tested. (Source: https://theironbible.com/IndexZoids/CommandWolfMKIIConcept.php)
Now for my absolute favorite, that I really wish had been a kit or action figure at some point:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The bigger, more complex looking armored legs, the claws, the overall more advanced armor and segments that make up the neck and torso, the close combat focus
Tumblr media
unfortunately this wolf never featured in a story or merchandise, and it's only official appearance was in the pages of Dengeki Hobby Magazine, January 2002's Smack Zoids! B-Part. In universe it was apparently declared impractical due to its close combat focus and never saw mass production. Boo!mo
And now for my absolute least enjoyed entry in the Command Wolf development chronicles:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have no damnable clue how two additional heads were meant to either fold-up and deploy from inside this thing, or be attached via the hangar/transport/whatever. don't like the heads gimmick, don't like the weapons pack, glad it got canned.

Tech as a father Chapter 49
Now I gotta say again, my timelines are warped a bit, and the pacing withing can change here and there, just as a reminder. OH and so is my upload rhythm.
Masterlist
Chapter 49: Unwanted care
Orion, the curious and playful five-month-old, delighted in the discovery that throwing his toys over the bunk edge created interesting sounds. With newfound excitement, he gleefully grabbed his tiny playthings, testing the theory over and over again. Each time a toy sailed through the air and produced a distinctive noise upon landing, Orion's eyes sparkled with wonder.
Tech, observing his son's experimentation with a mix of amusement and pride, couldn't help but marvel at Orion's budding curiosity and motor skills. He sat nearby, occasionally offering encouraging smiles and gentle words as Orion continued his exploration of cause and effect. The bunk here on Kamino and on the Havoc Marauder transformed into a miniature playground, echoing with the joyful sounds of a baby's laughter and the clatter of toys meeting the floor. Orion's contagious joy and the playful atmosphere created a heart-warming scene, fostering a precious father-son moment amid the routine of their daily life of a clone.
Tech, recognizing the need for a safety barrier to prevent Orion from accidentally falling off the bunk, remembering the accident from Wrecker’s bunk, took a moment to devise a simple yet effective solution. Drawing from his technical expertise, he gathered some materials available as he has enough laying around in their barracks, one can always reuse even the tiniest thing, contemplating the design for the safety barrier. After a brief but focused period of assembly, Tech fashioned a lightweight and collapsible safety railing that could be easily attached to the side of the bunk here and in the ship. The barrier provided a protective boundary for Orion, ensuring he could explore and play on the bunk without the risk of accidental falls.
Tech, satisfied with his creation, tested the safety railing to confirm its stability and security. Once convinced of its effectiveness, he carefully installed it on his bunk. Now, with the safety measure in place, Tech could confidently leave Orion on the bunk, knowing that his son would be shielded from any potential mishaps. Not that he would ever leave him alone, especially on Kamino.
This practical solution reflected Tech's commitment to creating a safe and nurturing environment for Orion, showcasing the blend of his technical skills with the love and care he devoted to his role as a father. But Orion is not appreciating the care of his father right now.
Observing Orion's unease and reluctance toward the newly installed safety railing, Tech realized the need to address his son's concerns. Carefully, he approached Orion, kneeling down to his level and offering a reassuring presence. Tech spoke to Orion in a soothing tone, attempting to alleviate any fear or uncertainty. "Hey there, Orion. This railing is here to keep you safe. See, it's just like a barrier, so you won't accidentally fall off the bunk. It's designed to protect you." To make the experience more positive, Tech reached for one of Orion's favourite toys and placed it within his reach on the bunk, emphasizing that the railing was there to enable playtime without worry. He used gentle gestures and encouraging words, aiming to create a connection between the safety feature and enjoyable activities.
Tech's thoughtful approach aimed to gradually familiarize Orion with the new addition, turning it into a positive element in his environment. The caring father continued to interact with Orion, ensuring that the safety railing became an accepted part of their living space. But the little half clone had none of it, throwing his toys as hard as his body allows, nearly managing to hit his father’s face.
Tech, caught off guard by the unexpected toy toss, reacted quickly, raising an eyebrow at Orion's display of disapproval. Suppressing a chuckle, he retrieved the toy and examined it, feigning a serious expression. "Well, it seems the toy is not a fan of the railing either," Tech remarked in a playful tone, trying to turn the moment into a light-hearted interaction. He set the toy aside and focused on Orion, maintaining his calm demeanour.
"Alright, Orion, let's find a compromise. What if we make a game out of it? We can play with the toy together, and the railing will be like our special boundary. You throw the toy, and I'll catch it. What do you say?" Tech suggested, introducing an element of fun to help Orion associate the safety feature with an enjoyable activity. Tech's goal was to make the railing less intimidating for Orion by incorporating play and bonding into the experience. He awaited Orion's response, ready to adapt to his son's preferences while ensuring a secure environment. But Tech, understands that Orion is still too young to grasp the concept of playing catch, sighed softly, realizing that the introduction of the railing hadn't gone as smoothly as he hoped. He carefully picked up Orion, soothingly murmuring to him as he held his upset son close.
"It's alright, Orion. Change can be a bit overwhelming, I get it," Tech reassured him, gently rocking him in his arms. "Let's try something else, shall we?" Tech pondered for a moment, considering ways to make the environment more comfortable for Orion. He decided to remove the railing temporarily, intending to find a compromise that balanced safety and Orion's comfort. "Okay, buddy, let's give it another shot without the railing for now. We'll figure out a solution together," Tech said, adjusting the bunk to accommodate Orion's preference. As Tech worked to address Orion's concerns, he remained patient, recognizing that adapting to new surroundings could be challenging for an infant. The goal was to create a secure and welcoming space, ensuring that Orion felt at ease in his ever-changing environment on Kamino.
Tech, with a small smile, approached Hunter, gauging the situation. Hunter was laying in his bunk, eyes closed with headphones on, something he does to not overstimulate his enhanced senses. He carefully placed Orion between Hunter's side and arm, letting the little one feel the comforting presence of his uncle. As Orion happily smacked on Hunter's arms, Tech swiftly and discreetly installed the railing, hoping to find a balance that satisfied everyone. As Orion faced the inside of the bunk and not the room itself.
Hunter, surprised by the sudden change in atmosphere and the joyful company of Orion, took off his headphones and looked down at the little one. Orion, seemingly content in his new position, giggled and babbled, completely unaware of the adjustments made to his surroundings. Hunter slightly sitting up and leaning back, opens his mouth but closes it when he sees Tech adjusting the railing.
Tech gave Hunter an understanding nod, signalling that he had modified the bunk for Orion's comfort. Hunter, appreciating the thoughtful gesture, relaxed back into his bunk, watching over Orion as the little one continued to explore his immediate surroundings, now feeling secure with the presence of both Tech and Hunter. The trio found a moment of tranquillity amidst the otherwise dynamic life on Kamino. “You know, Orion this railing isn’t for me, I did not fall out a bunk for a while.” Hunter jokes. Understanding that this is Tech’s way of trying to introduce Orion to changes, which will come tenfold.

AU Jonathan Crane
Tumblr media
In our AU, the presence of metahumans has shifted the balance of power away from corporate entities (such as Lex Corp and WayneTech) and, subsequently, the state (as the two are deeply intwined, especially in the US). Leading to what governing bodies remain looking for more covert means of shifting power back in their favour. Specifically in a way that can be chalked up to spontaneous social phenomena or other thing not directly tied to state intervention.
Seeing Crane's experiments and functional prototype of distilled fear, they see promise in it as a non-lethal and undetectable (beyond the knock-on physiological effects that coincide with a general fear response after initial exposure; the serum itself degrades quickly) crowd control. They grant him much more funding than he could imagine in exchange for developing his at this point purely academic and therapeutic project to study the psychology of fear without having to subject study participants to unethical psychological torture. (In theory, the rapidly degrading toxin would stimulate the response without needed to do anything traumatic to stimulate it - not necessarily considering the toxin itself as such.)
This version of Crane is born with Urbach-Wiethe disease, which prevents a normal fear response often leading him into misadventure as a kid. Even though he couldn't understand it on a visceral level, he began to understand the very sensible role fear played to keep everyone else safe. He'd try to scare himself, train a pavlovian fear repsonse to avoid things he may encounter that could hurt him. He wasn't senseless and could avoid danger where it was obvious, but that visceral gut feeling being absent was palpable. Motivated to understand fear and its application as a non-lethal way to guide people (typically from danger - though in the case of the crowd control fear toxin project it's him picking the lesser of two evils; either a toxin of his own making he knows will pacify people non-lethally, or whatever heart attack in a jar the DC equivalent of the CIA would concoct that would effectively be a larger scale ice-bullet gun).
Crane is a guest-lecturer at Gotham Uni, having been a guest lecturer in the neurochemistry of fear at various universities across the country. His suspiciously short tenure at each place he went to was starting to leave a trail. They would avoid abducting anyone connected to the universities he lectured at, to limit the trail they might leave. In the AU, I wanted Crane's formal development of FT to be through an MK-Ultra like project. People would go missing and show up days or weeks later (if they showed up again at all; which tended to happen more as time went on as the dose was perfected to be minimally lethal while maximally effective). Sometimes catatonic - other times babbling incoherently about what they saw. What few consistencies to come from their accounts sprouted the urban legend of The Scarecrow. Here, it's the amalgamation of whatever people saw while under FT (technically they saw Crane, but not really and certainly wouldn't be able to recognise him) rather than a persona that Crane personally has.
(On a more general note, most of the rogues in our AU get their names from whatever newspaper stories come up with (with a couple exceptions). I also realise it's ironic to have Crane's introduction be through an MK-Ultra equivalent scheme, given the purpose of MK-Ultra was to investigate potential methods of mind control rather than crowd control, but a. Tetch's "mind control" is actually motor control in this AU, b. mind-altering drug testing took place and I felt FT testing would be a fitting parrallel even if the purpose is slightly different.)

The Crimson Lion Kings Mafia AU
Fuegoleon Vermillion: The Lion. Comes from a well-known mafia family, and inherited the leadership role of it since his older sister was far more interested in pursuing her own goals rather than governing an entire mafia, even though she comes around every once in a while. Fuegoleon has been in the business for his entire life, and is in rivalry with another old mafia of Clover, The Silver Eagles. However, it wasn’t the Silver Eagles that resulted into his “accident”, but rather he had come into possession of a jewel that held very little monetary value, but proved to be of significant symbolic importance to a person that was affiliated with William Vangeance, the Leader, for some time. This “accident” ended up costing him his arm, and putting him into a coma for 6 months, after which he was given a state of the art prosthetic arm, which functions, or at least they say, better than his ‘normal’ arm. It is rumoured that as a result of this incident, he became even more dangerous.
Solara Equinox: The Lioness. Is the first-born daughter of a CEO of a large foreign company that deals in international business. She was in Clover for a business trip, getting familiar with the local business scenery when she ran into Mereoleona at a gym, and they ended up becoming friends first outside of The Work. Later she fell in love with Fuegoleon, and decided to stay to aid the mafia empire, while still staying in contact with her family and the company, thus providing some aid to the Crimson Lion Kings when possible from a third party source.
Mereoleona Vermillion: The Uncrowned. The older sister of Fuegoleon, who is more interested in solo missions than running a mafia. This, however, doesn’t make her any less dangerous. In fact, most agree that she is far more so. More reckless. More unpredictable. And she functions solely according to her own morals, whatever those might be. She has been rumoured to hold the greatest amount of devotion to her family though, but none has been brave enough to test that theory, not ever since The Incident.
Leopold Vermillion: The Oath Taker. The youngest of the Vermillion family. He has vowed to become the next leader of the Vermillion Mafia and make his family proud of him. He is creative and quick-witted, managing to combine the combat styles of both of his siblings. He can be loud and explosive, but there is a calculated method in his madness. Because of his boisterous exterior, his opponents often underestimate him. Which is, more often than not, a lethal mistake in this business.
Randal Luftair: The Wind. The right hand man of the Lion, who is extremely skilled in all types of long distance combat from fire-arms to throwing knives and crossbows. Has also been reported to be highly skilled in handling four wheeled motor vehicles. His personality is polite, calm and collected, but don’t let it fool you, because in combat he is swift as the wind.

Writing idea/prompt:
Misty x Chip
Misty is the one with the override, and how that changes the dynamics of their relationship.
This was a fun one!! Thank you!!
--------------------------------------
Everything had been so… perfect, hadn’t? Well, until they both got hired. But that was supposed to be when things got good. Job security, right? The very thing all cogs wanted.
Then why?
“Mist, I have time today after my shift, would you want…”
Misty had jumped away from him as if he’d grown another head, another saw.
“I uh… I have something else going on, lots of work! Sorry Chip! Another time maybe.”
Chip blinked, completely baffled as she rushed away.
Before, she’d been so eager for any chance to curl up next to him, to hold his hand, to grab onto him, and even if he was slow at first… he’d become just as eager.
But something had gone off.
He was hired on to basically ‘get rid of dead weight’ along with spearheading clearing out ‘Acorn Acres’ for development. And Misty, his Misty had been assigned clearing out the boatyard area. She had been excited, at first. A whole new experience, a chance to make headway with the ongoing conflict with toons and create a new route into the new territory.
Yet… Ever since then… it was like she didn’t want to see him, or wanted to avoid him as if he was carrying a trojan virus.
At first he was hurt… mad even. What did he even do? When asked she’d say ‘nothing’ except it was so obvious she was avoiding him.
So that’s why he was here now, betraying a key role of relationships ‘to mind your own business unless invited.” He’d taken off work early under the excuse of needing an oil change (which was coming up anyway), and slipped down to the docks.
He considered himself a pretty strong cog, but he was struggling to keep his footing, multiple toons went flying through the air past him, taken by the intense winds. His fellow cogs had already taken shelter in buildings, looking at him like he was crazy.
This kind of wind could only be conjured up by one cog, but even then… she never tried nor wanted to maintain this kind of weather for this long, he squinted, looking up and holding his hat on his head.
The clouds were rotating around a particular spot of the boatyard.
Shit.
Suddenly a small toon caught in a miniature vortex collided with him, he only barely kept his grounding.
He tried to pull it off him, like it was gum stuck to him.
“NOooOOOOO!” It cried, a small annoyingly bright colored cat toon.
“Remove yourself from me critt-” He became aware of a tearing sound as he tried to peel it off. “OI!”
The toon was shaking, gloves off apparently, the damn thing had claws! Did toons always have those? Or was it only when in their logic, it would be ‘’’’funny’’’?
His outer suit tore as he finally pulled the annoying thing off him, it pleaded with him as he glared at it for ruining a well built suit.
“PlEASE! It’s a monster! I’ve been spinning around for hou-RRSSSSss!” He shouted as Chip let it go and allowed the wind to take it.
Misty was many things, but she was not a monster. Something had to be hurting, probably one of these critter’s doing and they caused this damage themselves. So he pressed on, reaching a tall lighthouse, he felt a dry joint in his leg creak in protest. He was never tested for this amount of pressure on his joints.
Guess he’d find out just how much he could take.
As he got closer to where he knew Misty should be, rain started to lash at him, he tried to keep his head tilted, he really really didn’t want a lot of water getting close to his saw motor.
“Hey! Are they really sending more cogs!? This thing is enough trouble!” A squeaky voice came.
Chip glared angrily in the direction of the voice, he saw a group of toons plastered  to the ground, somehow sticking.
“I’m trying to figure out what you toons did to Mx. Monsoon!” He snapped.
“Us?! You cogs are the ones that unleashed an out of control cog that can control the weather out here! This is an eepy move even for you suits!”
“Sticky Lou wasn’t joking about this glue…”
“I…the company, and especially not Misty would do anything to cause any sort of damage.” Chip defended, saw revving, his body creaked again as the wind shoved against him.
“EEK! Here it comes! Everyone have their traps ready? We’ve got one shot!” One of the toons cried.
“What..?”
He was relieved for about two seconds when he saw Misty emerging from the cover of heavy rain, except something was wrong. Very wrong. There was not even a glimmer of light in her eyes, nothing but black nothing in her sockets, her hair was a dim grey.
“TERMINATION SEQUENCE IN PROGRESS”
That wasn’t her voice. No toon would know how to tamper with a cog like that either…
He saw a toon about to use a magnet on her… when suddenly the wind picked up… the toons all yelped as they came unstuck and blew away.
His eyes and her… well… lack of them locked. Her head twitched slightly as she seemed to pause in recognition.
“REVVINGTON, CHIP, YOU HAVE NOT BEEN AUTHORIZED FOR THIS EXCUR- EXCUR- Chip…! Please I don’t want to-! EXCURSION. VACATE THE - hurt you! PREMISES IMMEDIATELY.”
Chip pressed forward. “I’m not leaving. Misty! Fight this! You would know better but you know this goes against… some kind of law! Whatever’s been done to you, they can’t get away with it.”
“LEAVE THE PREMISES IMMEDIATELY.”
She pointed in his direction and he jumped, vision going blurry for a second as a bolt of lightning hit the ground near him. He shook his head, eyes flipping back on as he refocused.
He saw Misty’s glowing yellow eyes staring at him alarm, there was tinges of blue and yellow flickering in her hair, at war with the deep grey.
“Ch-Chip!” She cried. The wind calmed but she backed up away from him. “It’s… I can’t…”
“You can Mist, you already are!” He insisted, stepping closer to her.
“REMOVE- REMOVING… I can’t!” She cried.
Her eyes flickered, threatening to be swallowed again.
“You can.” He said again.
Her head twitched back and forth, he the wind began blowing inconsistently. She keeled over and grabbed at her own head as if she wanted to pull something out of her own shell.
“Ch-Ip… I need you to- TERMI - break … knock me out-!”
“Misty I’m not going to-!”
“DO IT! Pl ease! I don’t want to hurt anyone else-! I can’t hold o- RECOVERY COMPLETE”
The wind picked up massively again, his joints began to creak again, he could feel the bar in his left leg dangerously close to snapping.
“Dammit….”
He ran his finger along his saw blade. She had asked… and he was going to find a way to get that damn thing out of her.
He aimed and…
—-
“Misty?” Chip poked his saw into her room.
Misty had been stationary for days now, recharged completely but unable to bring herself to move.
The override had been removed, the amount of damage to toons and cogs alike far too much to ignore. However in terms of justice…
He’d quit from C.O.G.S INC. In protest when they pushed Misty into a settlement, the amount of money and time the court battle would have taken was not something two cogs could take on against such a massive company, they were using Misty’s signed contracts when she came onto the company to try and say she’d consented to experimental upgrades, (she had not) but there was enough of an argument that the lawsuit would have dragged on for cog knows how long.
He strode in and sat beside her silently, taking her hand and plugging himself into the wall next to her.
For what it was worth, the whole ordeal becoming public had caused a massive split in the company, so much infighting was going on… yet seeing Misty so defeated… tired…
He leaned his head against hers. She closed her eyes and quietly squeezed his hand back.
Maybe one day… one day she’d feel okay again. At least she wasn’t alone.

Every Journey Matter!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Note this campaign is a great initiative from the @motorcyclelawscotland team I can't agree more to educate people and save lives. But Why did they choose the photo of SH on this post when he promoted his whisky 🥃 during his 2021 whisky campaign in Scotland?
This photo is in 2021 and was the last time SH was seen on his customised Harley Davidson motorbike after his bike mishap in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
We don't know exactly what kind of support SH is providing to this volunteering effort by appearing in his promotional material and asking his fans to sign up. However, it's interesting to note that Motorcycle Law Scotland is urging the Scottish community to be involved in this Road Safety campaign and at the same time they following the actor's alcohol business on Instagram.🤷‍♀️
Tumblr media
The one safe option for Road Safety If you're driving, is not to drink any alcohol and not promote it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As we see Motorcycle Law Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 helps you with your motorcycle accident claim following a bike accident and acting for bikers who have been involved in a motorbike accident.
That means they deal with claims against third-party insurers and can act in cases where your motorbike accident compensation claim is against an uninsured driver and will deal with the motor insurers bureau on your behalf.
There is a time limit of three years from the date of the accident for claiming for injuries in a bike accident, and to ensure that the motorbike accident personal injury claim and compensation for the motorcycle is dealt with well within that time frame. For example, if you had a bike accident in December 2021, this year 2024 is your time limit.
MLS are motorbike personal injury Solicitors, I imagine their clients come to them when they have had a motorbike accident. It is important to remember that in law, there is always the possibility of reasonable doubt, and there is a doubt. Was or is Motorcycle Law Scotland involved in any way in representing SH in his mishap in Scotland? The mishap occurred a year after SH obtained his motorbike licence in 2020, not enough experience.
Tumblr media
I believe that MLS' interest in SH is not a sudden one. I would like to know if SH featured in this campaign has completed advanced rider training and passed his test, courtesy of Motorcycle Law Scotland, 🏍️ before providing his photo on his Harley Davidson motorbike. Or MLS has SH fans who misinterpret their role in this campaign 💁‍♀️
@imahalfemptykindofgirl Yes, it did, but what I was actually referring to was completing advanced motorist training and passing the exam that MLS offers for vulnerable road users.
@summerindigomusic Yep! SH has a customised Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE motorbike, which matches his Sassenach helmet promoting his whisky 🥃 and it’s a very questionable taste.
@imahalfemptykindofgirl Exactly, No wonder he didn't show his Harley Davidson bike and helmet damage. I would like to know what kind of insurance cover he had 🤔
@imahalfemptykindofgirl @gotraveltheworldluv It all comes from others. The cause is not his and it is MLS who is raising awareness, SH is not shedding light on anything. But his completely ridiculous fans think everything that happens in Scotland is his initiative.
Tumblr media
Well next time SH will polish the Scottish roads with his ideas💡 and his fans will say Scotland is better off because of him 🤯
