He's an awesome parent to Lian, and I think Talia would respect him for that (she might even wish she'd raised Damian the way Roy raises Lian).

i think there's a noticeable change because donnie in canon seemed to like it so much........ it's a confidence boost for him, especially because he's been uncomfortable with his body for so long. when he stops wearing nothing but hoodies (usually not even his own) and tries to actually put himself out there, the difference is observable-- he seems happier with himself. he doesn't sit like he's curling up and trying to make himself small anymore. for once he's okay actually looking at himself and taking photos like he used to. and while its not a major difference, he does seem to talk a little louder, too. just a little bit. they dont want to say anything in fear of breaking the spell, but they cherish that more than anything.

idk man i think i might be reaching the end of my natural lifespan with this place.

i’ve tried to intellectualize it. tried to block as many people and tags as I can manage without wiping my dash. but the truth is that a lot of people on this website are really, really mean, and those that aren’t are constantly reblogging those mean people’s posts. intolerance and cruelty aren’t bugs here; they’re foundational elements of the culture.

every “kys if you believe this”, every “louder for the people in the back”, every public callout, every needlessly-guilt-tripping informational post - it’s like microdosing poison. you can only shake it off for so long before it catches up. And i know it’s no worse here than anywhere else on the internet, but like…at least reddit doesn’t try to defend itself. The way people use virtue as a cloak for their lowest impulses on here makes me kind of ill sometimes.

i have more to say and far more effective ways to say it, but I’m tired. so I guess we’ll see where this year takes me. in the end im gonna do what’s best for my health, and if that leads me away from this place…so be it. probably about time I stepped into the sunlight anyways.

I fucking hate Tuesdays. I gotta make a two hour commute, for a single class, right at lunchtime. It lasts another two hours. The professor is a fascist.

Not the already loathsome "yikes" casual kind. A "loves Trump, Putin, Netanyahu and thinks we should've never rebelled against the Spanish Crown" level of fash.

We're talking like, "gonna do a class on the Spanish Civil War from the Fascist's POV, put on two fascists hymns (wholesale), two videos based on footage from Franco's dictatorship on the evils of Communism (30 minutes each), and argue Franco wasn't that bad and the bombing of Guernica is a fabrication"."

And after doing my best to withstand this bullshit, week after week. Questioning it (arguing against it) as much as I can risk, my rage vs the memory of my scholarship. For two hours. Getting a migraine from stress and hate and knowing this man has the power to fuck up my grades........ I still have another two hour commute to get home.
