you and carl grimes had been best friends ever since you could walk. you both met when your dad brought you to "bring your kid to work day" down at the station. the scent of coffee and the echo of footsteps filled the air.

it started to seem extremely boring, until a stranger approached you and your dad. you saw a little boy standing next to him, and felt a little less lonely. the man recognized you, though you had no idea who he was. "hi there y/n, this is carl." he introduced.

ever since then, you guys were inseparable. you and carl had a bond which was special, it was like no other. you could be yourself around him, and you could tell carl felt the same. the ease, the comfort, like you didn't have to pretend to be anyone else when you were together.

as expected, seeing him for the first time after the apocalypse started unleashed a unique wave of relief within you. you vividly recall the both of you making eye contact and running toward each other. you hugged each other tightly, as if you'd been separated for years.

"i was so scared!" you said, clutching your doll in your hand. "you don't need to be scared anymore," he reassured. "i'm here to protect you." carl loved to be your knight in shining armor, even when you were young.

through all the dark days, and as you both grew older, you two had always been there for each other. no matter whatever crap life threw at you, you guys stuck together. walker got too close to you? dead.

"i would never let anything happen to you. don't worry." he would always say. he was your closest friend, your ride or die. growing up was hard enough during the apocalypse, but having each other made it bearable.

however, as time passed, you started to feel a different way towards him. you started to feel as if things wouldn't be so bad if you guys were more than friends. actually, it was starting to seem like it was all you could dream of.

you thought it was just a one time thing, but you were dumb to think so. you often found yourself blushing at the thought of him, and when he had caught you daydreaming, let's just say he was curious.

"come on, why can't you just tell me who you like?" he asked, growing more agitated by the second. "shut up, i don't like anyone." you said, rolling your eyes playfully. "bullshit, tell me who it is." he said, looking you in the eye, a grin plastered onto his pretty face.

"nope!" you replied, popping the "p."

carl grimes had stolen your heart, and there was no doubt about it. you knew he had you wrapped around his finger, it was quite obvious when you would stress whenever he got the tiniest injury.

"calm down, it's just a cut." "do you ever shut up?" you would say, reaching for the bandaids on the top shelves of your room. "it's really not as bad as it looks." you knew he was telling the truth, it was never that serious. however, you being you, you couldn't help but worry. 

but now? now it was actually serious. too serious. you felt the panic start to sink in the second you saw ron, a vengeful look on his face, pointing a gun in rick's direction. you froze when you realized who was in standing front of him. it was carl. your carl.

"you." ron said. your heart pounded against your ribs. your breaths were shallow and rapid, as a wave of terror gripped you. surely he wouldn't actually shoot. right? so many possibilities were going through your head at once, it was the worst thing you ever experienced.

fortunately, michonne came in a flash. you jumped slightly when her katana pierced through ron's skin. atleast it was all over now though. rick was alright. carl was alright.

or so you thought.

his stupid fucking finger slipped. 

all of your negative thoughts came flooding back into your mind the moment the sound of the gunshot hit your eardrums. however, among all of your worries, there was one most prominent. where did the bullet go?

your eyes darted around before your gaze landed on carl. he had his head down, and when he looked up, it felt as if all the air in your lungs had been sucked out of your body. "dad?" he whimpered out.

he had been shot. in the head. directly into his eyesocket. the amount of blood flowing down his face made you sick to your stomach. it was only a matter of seconds before his body went limp and fell to the ground.

you never knew it was possible to feel this angry. there was no way in hell that just happened, and you couldn't do anything to stop it. it should've been you.

your facial expression contorted into one showing pure horror and anxiety. your eyes widened, tears at the rim, threatening to fall out. you breathed heavily, as you felt anguish and rage twist within you. rick lifted carl into his arms and carried him. that was your cue to pull out your knife.

you and michonne ran in front of rick and carl, killing walkers one by one. you were going ballistic, slashing every walker you possibly could, grunts escaping your mouth with every stab. you were going on a rampage, you weren't even thinking, you were just so enraged. how could you have let that happen to him?

blood splattered across your face, but you barely even noticed. hot tears streamed down your cheeks. each drop carried the weight of frustration and sorrow, their salty taste bitter on your lips. your body started to grow tired, but you kept pushing. dozens of walkers were laying on the ground.

now, the focus was getting carl help. and that's what you wanted. but you just couldn't stop. you were about to plunge your bloody knife into yet another walker, but michonne caught your arm in mid-air.

"that's enough." she said. she noticed how your chest rose and fell at a rapid pace, and the way you looked like you wanted to watch the world burn.

she took the knife from your grasp before putting her hand around your shoulder for a few seconds to calm you down. "we have to hurry." she continued to kill every walker in her sight, one by one. you didn't care that your body hurt like hell, you didn't care about all the blood splattered onto you, you didn't care that you were exhausted.

the only thing you cared about was carl. would he be okay? was this the end? were you gonna lose your other half? your heart ached. you weren't even gonna get to tell him how you felt about him.

after what seemed like hours of running and fighting, you found yourself laying down in the infirmary bed next to carl's. he'd been patched up before you. he was sleeping, and you were glad he was getting the rest he needed.

but every time you looked at him, your chest tightened. he should've never even have to be here. he should've never had to go through that, ever.

daryl had a chair pulled up next to your bed. he was like a father figure to you after shane died. he sighed, wiping your now crimson splattered arms with a wet rag to clean off the blood. "y' used the knife i gave you?" he said, not looking up from your arm. "yeah, it's the best i have."

the silence in the room was so loud. it's not that he was disappointed in you, he was proud you were able to defend yourself. it was the fact that you could've died and you still kept pushing that made him so quiet. he cared about you a lot, and he knew you didn't have to fight so hard, especially at your age.

"why'd you do that?" he asks, finally making eye contact with you. you let out a breath before opening your mouth to speak, "love makes you stupid."

it felt nice, to finally be able to talk to someone about your feelings for the blue eyed boy. after all, you were never gonna tell him, so atleast you could tell someone. "damn right it does." he replied, before lighty ruffling your hair. 

"get some sleep, okay kiddo?" daryl said, wiping the last of the blood off your arms. "yeah, jus- please don't te-" "i won't tell a soul." he cut you off, already knowing what you were gonna ask of him. "thanks." you said, smiling.

little did you know, daryl wasn't the only person who heard your late night confession. a "sleeping" carl stirred in his bed, now facing the wall in the opposite direction of you. perhaps it was the exhaustion getting to you, but you could've sworn you heard a light chuckle.

Love Me Harder (Chapter I)

In which a ruthless, violent gang member meets the innocent girl from his past ♡

Author's note: hehehehe the first chapter! I'm not sure how long this will be but I'm sosososo excited!

Chapter 1

Melody blinked open her eyes, surveying the room around her. This wasn't her room, or even her home. The walls were plain grey, compared to the pink of her bedroom in her apartment. The sheets were rather rough, quite the opposite of her satin pillowcases at home. What shocked the sleep from her eyes, though, was the man laying next to her.

Luke was lying next to her shirtless. He was scrolling on his phone, blond curls messy, but Melody could tell by his body language that he knew she was awake.

"Oh. You're awake." Luke said, turning to face her with no emotion in his voice whatsoever.

The girl groaned, running a hand across her face and through her brassy, blonde hair as she recalled the events of last night. She wasn't proud of them, by any means, but she also felt...different somehow.

It was meant to be simple. Luke was going to drive her home, just to make sure she got there safely. Despite all their differences and where Luke had been for the last few years, they were still friends (Luke would say they were acquaintances). Besides, Luke Hemmings wasn't the type of man to say no to a free fuck. Not that Melody had implied that, but the blond was a man that took what he wanted. And so, she had naively gotten into Luke's car.

"Do you wanna go back to mine?" he asked, speeding down the empty interstate.

"...I thought you were taking me home?" the girl asked, raising a brow.

"I mean if you want," he sighed. "I just thought you'd wanna see how much I've changed."

"Do you even remember my name?" Melody asked incredulously.

"Of course I do." Luke kept his eyes trained on the road.

Melody didn't know what drove her to do it. Maybe it was the desire to do something wild after a public breakup. Or maybe it was that stupid crush she'd so foolishly had on the blond that was trying to resurface. Whatever it was, she found herself saying yes to Luke's questions, eyeing him up and down.

He had grown taller, if that were even possible and had grown his blond hair out to shoulder length. She could see some of the tattoos peeking out of his collar. They looked like symbols, but of what she wasn't sure. Melody had always known Luke was in a gang. That was part of the reason why she tried so hard to tutor him. She wanted to give him a sense of belonging that wasn't clouded by violence.

"Y'know, I always thought you were really damn pretty." Luke said as he cut the engine.

The pair had arrived at Luke's house. It wasn't rough, by any means. In fact, if you passed the townhome on the edge of the city from the outside, you'd probably think Luke had some sort of respectable career. A teacher or a nurse, maybe. Definitely not a gang leader.

"You did?" the girl asked, tucking some hair behind her ear.

"Mhm," Luke leaned over the center console of his black Jaguar and took her chin in his ring-clad hand. "You're fuckin' hot, Mels."

Melody blushed, melting under Luke's gaze. She knew it was bad; this boy, the life that he lived, the way she was melting like syrup under gaze, but she couldn't stop. She saw the potential of who Luke could be.

Just as he leaned in to kiss her, Melody's phone began to ping incessantly, a wave of texts from her now-ex boyfriend apologizing for how "sorry" he was. Luke snatched the phone from her hands, reading the messages with a death-glare on his face.

"Fuck that asshole." he growled, completely shutting the phone down and tossing it in the backseat.

The girl blushed and grinned as Luke leaned forward again and roughly began to make out with her. The rings on his fingers were pushing into her throat, which would definitely leave a mark tomorrow. If Luke was a magician, the way he made out was his magic. His tongue moved against Melody's in a way that was fighting for dominance, while also giving into her every need. Luke snuck his hand under her shirt and began to feel along her back, finding the clasp for her bra.

"Should we take this inside, sexy?" he asked, his tongue still against hers, lips swollen from kissing.

Despite every alarm in her brain telling her not to, Melody nodded eagerly. She had only been with Luke for one hour and he was already like a drug to her. She needed him. She needed to feel his body on hers and give into that yearning she had felt for so long. The ten seconds it took for Luke to come from the driver's side to her side felt like an eternity without his lips on hers.

The couple roughly made out all the way to the front door and all the way up to Luke's bedroom and onto his bed. One thing had led to another, which led them to where they were now.

Condoms were strewn across the room. Melody's clothing from last night lay in a heap at the foot of the bed, with Luke's entangled in there too. The sheets were a mess, covered in white stains. But none of that mattered when Luke rolled over onto his side to look at her. She could clearly see his bare hip peeking out from under the covers and his already-erect dick creating a small tent under the sheets.

"Round two before you go?" Luke asked, voice sultry.

Melody felt her heart drop. She should have known Luke only wanted one thing from her. He didn't miss her, he hardly remembered her. She was just an easy target for a quick hookup last night. Hurriedly grabbing her clothes from the end of the bed, Melody changed into the smelly, bar-and-sex-scented clothes.

"They were right about you." she huffed, sliding out of bed and grabbing her purse from the floor.

Luke cocked a brow, looking at her curiously. "Who was?"

"Everyone," the girl was on the verge of tears, but she wouldn't give Luke the satisfaction of that. "Everyone who told you were a bad, bad man, Luke."

The blond rolled his eyes and sat up, pulling on some soft, grey shorts. As much as she hated him right now, wanted to slap him, hit him, scream at him, Melody couldn't help but notice the way his biceps bulged with the movement.

"You think I'm the one with the problem?" Luke spat. "You're the one who agreed to hooking up. It doesn't matter that people say not to stereotype. You know the kind of man I am, Melody. You really are just as innocent as you were in high school."

She turned, fleeing the room and the man in it. Downstairs, she passed three men, who looked at her with curious gazes, before going back to whatever they were discussing. A shudder came over her body as she thought about Luke and his three buddies with her in the house as she had been asleep.

Melody gulped in a deep breath of air once she stepped outside. No one passing in the streets even spared her a glance. They didn't know the kind of man that lived inside that house. She wouldn't go as far as to say Luke was "evil", but bad didn't seem to cover it. The blonde tried not to cry as she called for an Uber on her phone. She needed to get far away from Luke and his sick games. She needed to be able to let go of him, despite the part of her heart that had always told her to care for people.

Luckily, the car was only a quarter of a mile away. It arrived in no time, idling at the curb as she hurriedly jumped into it. the driver paid her no mind, fiddling with the knobs on the radio as she told him the address. As he began to pull away, Melody gave one last look back at the townhome, tears welling in her eyes.

As the car pulled away, the grey curtains of the second floor window fluttered shut. Luke walked away from the window and stomped downstairs, thinking of the innocent girl.

flower falling asleep at the library when she’s meant to meet h :( maybe they have a really hard exam coming up in a couple days and she really hasn’t been getting it even with Harry’s help so they’ve taken to spending their entire Saturday at the library and h has compiled some new notes and practice questions for her all pretty and color coded with his highlighters, and she was up all night the night before because she wanted to just get down the formulas they went over that day before he helped her with the newer stuff they covered that week and she basically said goodnight to h on the phone and then stayed up under her desk lamp until the sun was starting to come up, and by the time she gets into bed, she’s meeting h in three hours but she’s in charge of getting their morning coffees that day so she still gets there early and tucks herself into their little secluded table with a big sweater and her hair pulled up and the silence of the basically empty library just gets to her and while she was trying to organize her notes to show h that she figured out one of the formulas, she just… rests her cheek on the top of her hand with a yawn and closes her eyes for a few seconds- just a few!! but then h comes into the library 15 minutes later and sees her fast asleep resting on the table and he’s :( bc she doesn’t fall asleep like this ever and he knew she was extra stressed about this test and he sees all of the scribbled work she’s done laying in front of her, stuff that he never saw her do, meaning she stayed up late or woke up extra early and he’s just sighing and sitting in the chair beside her, slowly moving her things away from her and packing them back up into the backpack sitting at her legs before he’s leaning over with his chin resting in his hand and brushing his hand over her cheekbone and mumbling sweet little things to wake her up, seeing the hue of dark circles under her eyes and she’s embarrassed when she wakes up and “what time is it? wheres the stuff I had?” and he’s just telling her that he’s taking her to his place so that she can get a few more hours of sleep, but “no h, I need to work I don’t have time the test is in 2 days” and he’s just shushing her and “you know how frustrated you get when you’re tired, and it does you no good to be sleep deprived and try and study. we can work this afternoon” just being a little stern because she can be a stubborn little thing and even h has been a little bit more stressed about this exam and he doesn’t know if he has all the patience he always gives her when she’s going to be grumpy in about 2 hours, so he just takes her home and gets into bed with her and she’s immediately knocked out curled up into him and he’s sitting against the headboard going over the work she did the night before and making little comments and notes for her to mention later and she’s in a way better mood after she wakes up a few hours later and h ordered them lunch and it just turns into a cozy study session with notes scattered across his living room floor and just so cute :( - 🍓

stop:( like shes been working sosososo hard on all the information hes been helping her like the good girl she is but he didn't know hshe was working herself so hard that he'd find her asleep in their spot:(((( very obsessed w him knowing that he doesn't have the same patience as he normally would so he just packs her things up before gently waking her up to go home with him:( BUT OMG:(((((( as shes napping hes just going over her work and making little notes in the margins of what he needs to go over with her when she wakes up but overall hes so impressed w what she did and even the little practice problems she made all by herself to figure out and just:( hes so proud of her for being so smart and working so hard now he just needs her to take care of herself too:(

Cat!Robin and Cat!Steve except she’s the one who’s very proud and in control, and Steve is the scraggly little rat who trips over himself trying to catch a sun beam, and gets knocked over in one swat when he tries to tackle Robin.

But she also loves him though. Even though she doesn’t break a sweat at pushing Steve off a bench, or biting him for being super annoying, she’s always taking care of them both. She’ll pull him close when you first discover them, telling him to ‘stop’ and ‘you could be dangerous’ and ‘he’s embarrassing her’.

She loves hiding on spaces high up and just small enough for her in your house for a nap. But as soon as she hears Steve sounding concerned and calling her name, she arises from her coma like the undertaker and goes seeking him. She’ll play around with him more when they’re both in a safe and happy situation, like living with you. She can finally be silly like she wants to be herself, and join Steve in finding fun.

And you discover she is just as cuddly as Steve is. Both of them curling up to you. Robin purring as she butts her head sloooowly under your chin, nuzzling there with that slight pressure, as she kneads dough on your body. Eyes closed while she hugs you close, quiet except for her loud mass of purrs and occasional sighs. Steve is trying to wriggle himself into any position possible. Trying to cuddle as much of you as he can. His head butts are a bit more lethal, and sometimes he ends up upside down in your lap, he’s pretty noisy as he tries to find a comfortable spot that he can still share with Robin. But they both loooooove snuggle time. They want it to last all day.....

Her protective instincts are still there around others though. Instead of flicking Steve’s face away with her tail, she’s dragging him close even if she has to latch on with teeth. And she won’t let anyone near either of them. If Steve gets free, she’s running for him though, at least to be by his side if she can’t stop him, investigating this person with a much more judgemental look compared to Steve’s curious one. The same goes for you now too. Robin will sometimes grab your hand, tilt her head up high, and drag you to the other side of the street, without explaining why. But it’s nice to be in Robin’s close circle, rather than on the outside! Especially when she bundles both of you up into a mass of blankets and pillows and demands neither of you leave with a scary look in her eyes, as she plops in the middle of you. At least she likes you too!

and if you are scared, know you are not the first. i was terrified to leave home and start over, but if never try and spread your angel wings, how will ever you know just how far it is that you can fly? :)

and, if you want to giggle: we are opposites. i just finished college and i am moving back to my hometown after years of living there and i...am absolutely terrified. i'm bricking it, baby. so if you're scared, know that change is always scary, but we will get through it together.

Mhmm, well today is Saturday and it's barely 8am which means I just got my phone unlocked. So instead gonna talk about yesterday ?

Didn't do much honestly-like, I woke as usual, we got late for school ( again. If you wonder I'm always late ( for a birthday I arrived 45mins late ) cause I have no time management ) and I had Grec, history ( honestly I'm just drawing and practicing my writing in this class ), and two hours of French ( we wrote for an 1h30 and then we watched 15 min of a very good documentary) . Then I had lunch break from 12am to 2pm I spent it with my friends, but it wasn't as great as I expected it to be. Then I had English, we watched the end of a movie so I read The Fault In Our Stars instead ( I already read it but In French so I need to read it in English now and my teacher has it so she lend it to me !) Then Math we had a competition and I got the highest grade in middle/high school ( I wasn't alone to have it of course, but still c'mon !) ( Also I don't know if I'm in middle school or high school cause like, our first year of high school is 10th grade, and our first year of middle school is 6th grade and it ends in 9th grade I think ?)

Then after I had Biology which is shit cause we're doing the same thing since the start of the year, my teacher is never there, and then che complains that we don't work ??? But honey, you're the problem !

After I got home, I played the Sims ( and I'm so happy cause I managed to get my mods to work !), We ate and we watched tv while I was reading ! How bout you ?
