You couldn't help but giggle as you tickled him, the sound of your laughter echoing through the room and filling the air. However, Ranpo swiftly retaliated, tickling you back with enthusiasm.

"S-Sto-oP," you managed to say while you hold your laughter, but Ranpo didn't react. In an unconscious response, you kicked him on the chin, causing him to cry out in surprise and rub his jaw. Despite his minor discomfort, you triumphantly declared, "I win," your laughter bubbling over.

"Ranpooo," you whined playfully, attempting to hold his arm, but he pushed you away, ingnoring you, "Stop acting like a childd."

"Okay, okay, sorry," you said, trying to stifle your laughter as you fell beside him. Your hands reached out to hold his arms, but he pushed them away again, maintaining his sulky posture.

"You know," you spoke, as Ranpo lifted his head slightly, only for you to seize the opportunity and attempt to flip him over. However, your attempt failed, and he remained in his position.

"I think I found a place for us " you continued, as you poke his sides, him retreating on your touch, " It's down by garden after dark ".

"It's in my arms," you continued, opening your arms wide, a teasing glint in your eyes. Ranpo gives you a look of amusement before he lifted himself up and flopped down on the bed beside you.

Ranpo went straight to hug you tight, his head buried in your chest as you give out a little laugh, " it's in my arms" With nothing, you snuggled your boyfriend before he whispered "I never lose" and suddenly, he launched another tickle attack, laughter filled the room once more as you playfully wrestled, revelling in the joy of each other's company.

Arlong x Human!reader: Parenthood Part 1

This will be angstier on the relationship part at the beginning because of reader's perspective but eventually will have a bit happier ending, or at least a more hopeful one. This will include the timeskip in the manga and the anime. RIP to my old style of writing, I'm gonna miss the bulleted list because it was easier for me to write and read, but the fuckers who updated this website only allow a maximum of 4096 chatacters.

If anyone had asked you if you regretted where you were now, you would have said no, but that there were things that could have been handled better. Let's get started on how you got into this mess in the first place.

You were just a rookie revolutionary that were on a mission to free some fishmen slaves in the East Blue. As you patiently helped them get out of their cages (some of them were very suspicious to having a human help them) some of the guards decided to attack, surrounding you all. You were not going to just stand there and go down without a fight, if you could buy some time for the slaves to escape you would gladly sacrifice yourself.

You just weren't expecting to find some fishmen band over there as well. They just came out of nowhere, still, their appearence wasn't unwelcome. Soon, you were fighting alongside them in perfect synchronization, as if you had been doing it your entire lives.

Their captain, Arlong, seemed quite impressed with your skills and your knowledge about the main slave camps of the East Blue. When he offered you a teamup, you hesitated, you barely knew him and weren't planning on staying much in this sea. Nevertheless, there were still slaves that needed to be freed and you were lacking in the muscle department, maybe working together wasn't such a bad idea.

Honestly, the fact that his secret base was so in the open was something you didn't see coming. As a member of the revolutionaries, your life was always on the move, from one secret hidden place to the other. Having such an open area and throwing parties every now and then was wild, but a refreshing change.

The place was nice, it was like being in a tropical hotel, they even had a saltwater pool for the fishmen to swim in. The presence of the entirely male fishmen crew wasn't a bother at all, most of them just kept to themselves and let you work in your next mission. There was only another human woman on the entire place, her name was Nami. She had barely spoken two sentences to you and they weren't very nice, she didn't seem the friendly type. Although there were times were you catch her staring like she wanted to tell you something but always stopped herself. Arlong told you to not mind her, she just didn't like outsiders.

Speaking of Arlong. There was something about that fishman that drew you to him. He was charming, he was flirty and he was passionate about the liberation of fishmen. With each mission successfully completed you two became closer, and one night during a party at Arlong Park... well...

But fairytales weren't meant to last forever. Everything came crushing down. Not so long after that, Arlong started showing his true colors, you began to see how ruthless he could be, how dismissive of you he became after he had tasted you. Nami was right, you had just been just a tool to him, so he could recruit more fishmen into his army.

You felt dirty, you felt used, and you felt heartbroken. You had helped someone who could be potentially as bad as the World Government. And all for what? Seven minutes in heaven? You didn't know at that time, but you felt that you should have known better. He was never interested in you at all, not the way you had been interested in him.

So you ran, as soon as you saw your chance you ran without looking back. You didn't know if they were going to give chase, but as long as you kept moving, you wouldn't need to worry.

Some time later, word got to you that someone had finally beaten Arlong and destroyed Arlong Park. You felt sick to your stomach when you heard about all the atrocities he had comitted, specially to that poor village near Arlong Park. At least that night you were able too sleep peacefully knowing he and his crew had been imprisoned by the Marines, as much as you despised them.

But your problems were far from over.

Turns out that sick feeling didn't go away the next morning, or the following, or the one after that. It didn't disappear, unlike your period, that magically vanished. And as the town's doctor confirmed you, it wouldn't go away for quite some time.

You were pregnant.

You felt a rush of panic flow into you. What were you going to do?? Where could you go?? This was no ordinary hybrid's baby, this was Arlong's baby, a very dangerous individual.

Against all better judgement, you decided to keep it. This was your responsibility, it was in your hands to not let the baby become like Arlong. This could be another step to peace between both races. So you found yourself a job in one of the town's shops and settled down, since your life as a revolutionary was practically over, it was no life for an infant.

Nobody told you pregnancies or fishman pregnancies in this case, were that difficult. Everything ached, you felt swollen, and that little bundle of joy inside you was kicking up a storm with their tremendous strength. You felt tired, really tired, so tired that your neighbors took pity on you and kindly helped you with the most ardous tasks when you became too big to bend over. You felt grateful you had managed to land in such a kind and open minded community.

For some reason you got huge cravings for roasted beef, you needed to have it almost every single day. Maybe it was the fishman side of the baby, you remembered Arlong eating it some days.

There were days when you would just lay in bed, drenched in sweat and too exhausted and heavy to move while the baby practised their Fishman Karate moves. But there were also days, where you sat on the swing in your porch and stared at the sunset, while you softly caressed your growing belly and they gently moved in return.

The birth was something you would never forget. As if having a half fishman baby wasn't difficult enough due to the difference in species, you were having a sawfish fishman's baby. Holding your daughter in your arms filled you with inmense joy and tenderness and made it the best day of your life, but her nose alone had been enough to make a few tears in your birth canal that had to be stitched and would take sometime to heal.

But you easily forgave her because your daughter was perfect, her skin tone, nose, gills and wild hair might be her father's, yeah, but there was no denying that her facial structure and eyes were yours. Despite her similarities to Arlong, she was everything he wasn't, and you swore to protect her from any harm.

The next two years of your life were the most active and tiring of your life, and at the same time, the greatest. Your little girl was a cheerful child, full of love for everything that surrounded her, be it you, your neighbours, or a random ladybug she had found on the street. She was also restless, curious and very very energetic. The terrible twos had started and with them, came all the hardships of parenthood.

Her teeth were developing faster than any other human children, but slower than a fishman. Your neighbors, though patient and loving with the rambunctious hybrid child, were starting to get tired of finding random objects and parts of buildings filled with bite marks.

Despite her biting problem, no one gave you a hard time for her heritage, no one was ever cruel to her. Because there was certainly not a single bad bone in her tiny little body. She only knew about love, and peace. You led quiet and happy lives in your modest home in your little island, on the outskirts of town. Everything was perfect.

Until one day Arlong returned.

The difference between "vedere" and "guardare" (as in "sentire" and "ascoltare") is in the attention of the subject in doing the action. For example "Guardo/sto guardando la TV/un film" = I watch/I'm watching the TV/a movie: it means you are looking with attention, to understand what is going on, you're paying attention to the movie to get the plot. While "vedere" = to look, but you don't have to put much attention into this action. Or, as in your example, "Dove posso vedere questa serie?" = Where can I watch/see this TV serie?, means you are looking for a random place/website that broadcasts that serie, but you don't need to put attention into watching that website per se. You only need that to watch something else.

Another example could be: "Non ti ho visto! Stavo guardando le vetrine" = I didn't see you! I was watching shops' windows. you weren't looking at the people around you with attention (cause you were paying attention to something else = shops' windows) so you couldn't spot your friend that stopped you suddenly to salute you.

Same goes for "sentire", as I was mentioning: "Ho sentito un rumore" = I heard a noise (but you don't know what it is about, it was a sudden noise) and "Ti sto ascoltando" = I'm listening to you (I am paying attention to what you are saying)

Back in the morgue, Chen Yuzhi continued to look at Keying’s burnt body before he reached into his pocket and pulled out her little butterfly clip, staring at it for a moment before he carefully and gently placed it into Keying’s hair, his hands trembling the entire time.  Once the clip was in her hair, he smiled weakly.          “There…don’t you look pretty, A-Ying?” he murmured before he reached up to gently stroke her hair.  As he stroked her hair, more tears streamed down his cheeks and he shook his head, trying to stop himself from crying, before he let out a shuddering breath and leaned down, placing the gentlest of kisses to her forehead.          “Goodnight, A-Ying.  Sleep well.  Gege loves you” he whispered before he pulled away and carefully covered her face with the sheet.  He then carefully pushed her tray back into the refrigerator and shut the door before he turned and numbly walked out of the morgue, causing Jiang Yuelou, who had been sitting on the bench outside with his head in his hand, to shoot to his feet and look over at him with wide eyes as he slowly made his way towards him.  When he finally stopped before him, Jiang Yuelou shook his head.          “I’m sorry.  The killer came for me, and I got Keying involved” he apologized.            “Though you say you’re sorry, would Keying still be alive?” Chen Yuzhi hissed, rage burning in his tear-filled eyes.  Jiang Yuelou looked at him before he lowered his gaze.          “I’m sorry” he repeated, his words full of tears.

I'm fond of this scene because in the drama, Chen Yuzhi just places the butterfly clip into Keying's hair before he places her back into the morgue refrigerator. But here, I've added more dialogue to not only make it more angsty but I feel like Chen Yuzhi would tell Keying that he loves her before he places her back into the refrigerator, not just place her in there without saying goodbye/goodnight, you know?

Fuck...I have no idea

L: How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?

Once. I write the chapter, go through it once to make sure I haven't forgotten anything or misspelled anything and then it gets posted

S: Any fandom tropes you can't resist?

Hurt/comfort, sunshine x grump, black x white (color pallets)...I've grown fond of arrange marriages/fake dating, and finally, injured character says they're fine before their eyes flutter and they collapse into their loved one's arms

Y: A character you want to protect.

Ooo...good question. But I'm gonna go with Chen Yuzhi. I like him to get whumped to hell, but I also love it when he's fiercely guarded and protected...it's good shit

I'd say it's cathartic/stress relieving. It only gets stressful when a scene or the fic wants to fight me. But other than that, it's enjoyable

2: Do you focus on attention to detail when you read fics? Are you more or less attention to detail focussed when you write fics?

I'm very detail focused when writing fics...I like to be as accurate as possible when describing people, surroundings, or what's happening in the scene (especially if it's a case fic). I also pay attention to detail when reading fics...helps paint the picture better in my head

17: What has been the proudest moment for you so far since you started writing?

Getting told by people that I'm their favorite author or that my fanfics are their favorite. Best feeling in the world

Hmm...symbolism...I don't really have symbolism in my fics...and if I don't, I don't notice/do it on purpose (sorry 😅)

At the sight of the scars, Yu Tangchun, Chu Min, and Liu Li gasped before Yu Tangchun slowly reached out a hand and gently touched one of the scars.          “Junbai…what happened?  Who…did this to you?” he asked.  Zhan Junbai hummed as he shrugged his robe back on before he turned to look at him.          “My uncle” he replied.  Yu Tangchun looked at him in horror.          “Your uncle?” he repeated.  Zhan Junbai hummed and nodded.          “Yes…my parents died when I was a child, so I was raised by my uncle.  My uncle’s side of the family were all spirit mediums…very strong ones.  Unfortunately, I didn’t share the same strength in my abilities and when my uncle found out…he was very upset.  Told me that I ruined the family line and was a shame to the family.  After that, he whipped me…whipped me so bad that my back was practically shredded.  It took a very long time to heal and once it did…I ran away.  Ran away and never looked back.  That’s when I came here.  And became a swindling spirit medium” he explained.

Anyways I had just typed out a whole nice summary of Flatland's social structure for those who haven't read it yet but tumblr just ate it. And I have to redo the image descriptions too. Sigh.

Anyways. Long story short: The wider your angles, the higher your social status Under the Current Regime, which is super fascist and that's the point. It's a dystopia.

The lowest class is literally called the Criminal class. It is made up of Irregular shapes, aka, disabled people, and polygons with angles of less than 10 degrees. They have no rights at all. Lets just stop there.

The second lowest class is made up of Lines, who are classified as Women. They likewise have no rights, and have a ton of restrictions placed on them to control their movements.

Just above Lines are Isosceles triangles, who are forced to be Soldiers, aka canon fodder.

The lowest three classes are routinely murdered en-masse to stop them from revolting, with many schemes in place to keep them in-fighting instead of fighting together against their oppressors.

The middle class is made up of equal-sided triangles.

The upper-middle class is made up of squares.

The more sides you have, the higher your rank, the more money and privilege you have, until you get up to the circles, who have declared themselves the rulers.

Also since a mutual asked and i think a lot of new people are getting into the sims here are some packs/mods/cc stuff i think is necessary based on my gameplay. i will try to include links to anything that needs them (i dont have torrent leaks so someone else can provide!). And also these are just my opinion haha feel free to add on! This will be long so its below cut

1: packs: this wont include all packs, anything not listed i gen havent really thought about enough to put in my list.

Necessary packs: seasons, get to work, get together, city living, cats and dogs, dine out, tiny living, parenthood (based on watching other simmers i dont own this)

Packs i think are fun but not necessary: eco lifestyle, werewolves, spa day, vampires, paranormal, nifty knitting, laundry day,

Packs i want to get but dont know much about: cottage living, snowy escape, dream home decorator, the wedding one, highschool one, toddler stuff, kids room, parenthood

Packs i have but i find to be meh: realm of magic, get famous (only slightly),

Packs i will never get willingly (meaning i would never pay for this full price): journey to batuu, strangerville, my first pet, vintage glamour, romantic garden, spooky stuff, luxury party

Kits: scam, but they do seem cool overall. desert luxe is a great build kit just for the curtains alone (i got this for free during a special time offer).

2: mods that i think are necessary

I dont play with a lot of mods so the only thing i'd highly recommend is MCCC (or mc command center): LINK

this mod allows you to control so many aspects/cheats in your game so much easier from allowing polyamory to inducing labor in your sim to aging people up, to editing sims in cas, this mod really can do anything and everything its a staple in the community!

one mod i wouldnt recommend (unless there was a recent update to it...) is the remove EA eyelashes mods as at least for me it gave me a lot of glitches with occult sims having no face at all! so i stopped using it

Other important mods that i dont use yet but a lot of people use and i will be using soon: stop werewolves from howling in cas (believe me its so fucking annoying), stop vampires growling in cas, stop spellcasters in cas (cant find the link to this) (you can also apparently use cheats on the clockspeed to get them to sto moving i think...)

Modthesims is a good resource for any mods you want to find! I also search reddit occasionally for recommendations. Plus id recommend to go on youtube and watch simmers who use a lot of mods for popular ones!

3: custom content how to

Custom content are things you add to the game such as clothing, furniture, makeup, etc!

There are a few websites you can get custom content (cc): the sims resource, tumblr (just type in sims 4 cc!),, and soon the sims 4 will be partnering with cursedforge for things so look out for that!

cc creators i love/have loved: pralinesims (i think they stopped making cc?), kijiko, grimcookies, bergdorfverse, twistedcat (for eyebrows), sheabuttyr (previously savvy!), candysims4, johnnysims, ridgecookies, spectacledchic (though i dont think they make cc anymore but i used to love their clothes esp in sims3. it just may not be updated anymore!), shakeproductions,

some important cc to get imo: kijiko's 3D eyelashes (recommend the accessories one and the perma ones so you can wear glasses), a default skin overlay (i use ediurnes'), a default eyecolor set,

Maxis or realistic cc? -> some people love sims to be hyper realistic so there is a lot of cc in that category. Maxis match means custom content that matches the sort of cartoony style of the sims 4. I prefer maxis match hair and stuff but i do use realistic cc for clothes/skin/eye color/eyelashes. You can do whatever you want.

Make sure you always download the MESH: some cc is a recolor of another cc! So if you download the recolor without the original mesh it wont work. esp on tumblr at least or on download sites they should specify if its a recolor or not and link the mesh!

Sono già 2 mesi che lavoro per quest'azienda e, come accade sempre, si stanno già frantumando alcuni altarini. A volte non si rendono conto che far fare questi periodi di stage è più deleterio che altro. Successe la stessa cosa quando lavorai a Napoli: in 3 mesi capisci come girano le cose e ti basta un attimo prendere quei pochi soldi e dire arrivederci. Non hanno nemmeno la furbizia di "legarti" psicologicamente con l'indeterminato, lasciare che le dinamiche vengano fuori piano piano e quando hai capito tutto, farti pensare "vabbè ormai mi sono leggermente sistemato". Alla fine c'è chi rimane lo stesso pure dopo quindi, in fondo, hanno pure ragione, chi glielo fa fare.

Dicevo sono già due mesi e già mi sono rotta un po' il cazzo. E riflettevo: non ho mai fatto lo stesso lavoro per più di 7 mesi.

Dicevo anche, gli altarini stanno cadendo giù perché si ritorna sempre alle solite dinamiche tutte italiane: hanno appena dato la bella notizia di aver introdotto lo scatto di anzianità (complimenti per essere al passo coi tempi nel 2023), ma sono fortemente convinta che siano quattro spicci. E la spiegazione è semplice.

L'ultimo passo per un aspirante cittadino italiano è la prenotazione di un incontro al consolato, in cui porti tutti i tuoi certificati e se è tutto in regola, il processo per il tuo passaporto italiano può iniziare. Prendere questi appuntamenti è complicatissimo (sono sempre full e i siti vanno in pappa facilmente) e le liste di attesa fanno ridere: il consolato di San Francisco rilascia appuntamenti dal 2027 in poi.

Poiché prendere questi appuntamenti è difficile, si è creata questa bellissima corsa volontaria a chi acchiappa più appuntamenti: tu, dopo aver lavorato 8h al giorno, alle 24:00 o alle 04:00 oppure alle 06:00 a seconda del fuso orario dello stato americano, ti metti bellina bellina sul sito e vedi se riesci a prenotare qualche cliente. Se riesci, bonus economico di 5/7€; se non ce la fai, bonus temporale di 30 minuti. Che bella l'elemosina.

E nonostante ciò ci sono decine di ragazze che si prestano a questa cosa con non so quale coraggio. Su Google Chat ogni mattina è un "unfortunately the website crashed and I was kicked out. Screenshot uploaded" (ovviamente servono le prove perché non sia mai ti rubi 30 min di lavoro oh ma siamo pazzi). Non solo, hanno pure un gruppo Whatsapp dove si dicono praticamente le stesse cose ma dal vivo, nell'esatto momento in cui accade, e io, che pensavo di aver aggirato questa cosa, sono stata inserita in questo gruppo pochi giorni fa.

Dio solo sa quanto io abbia sentito la mia vita privata violata dal lavoro. Non voglio sapere un cazzo dei consolati e delle ambasciate quando me ne vado da nell'ufficio e ogni volta che mi viene in mente un cliente, chiudo proprio il cervello perché NO.

Ste ragazze stanno veramente fuori e giuro su Dio che se mi girano i coglioni, io chiedo di uscire da quel gruppo. Purtroppo sono stata già "ripresa" perché non seguo pedissequamente le soluzioni che mi vengono "offerte" sebbene siano le soluzioni meno veloci e intuitive. Si lucidano le labbra con "puoi usare il metodo con cui ti trovi meglio" e poi alla fine se lo fai non va bene perché "non è ordinato". Allora dillo che o si fa come dici tu oppure niente.

Processi complicati che potrebbero essere fatti in US, dove ci sono già uffici e invece no. Da qui bisogna inviare istruzioni a quelli in US su cosa ordinare, quanto pagare, chiedere a loro se sono arrivate le cose che aspettiamo ecc. Robe assurde al limite della comprensione umana.

Il mio sonno ovviamente risente di tutto perché io non sono mai stata un gallo mattiniero. E quindi adesso devo correre a dormire perché sto già morendo di sonno. Era bella la vita da laureanda, lo sapevo.
