This is an Emergency Evacuation Planner for trans people living in the U.S.A.

The document is (as of November 11th, 2024) unfinished, but I figured that getting information out ASAP was significantly better than waiting until I deemed it to be 'finished enough'. This is a google doc of information for moving to a new state.

The document includes a list of states that are safe to move to*, what to pack with you, tasks you need to accomplish before moving, and other relevant information. Comments are turned on in the document if you have any suggestions.

It does not currently have information on fleeing the country as a whole, as those cases are highly circumstantial and I do not know enough about that to feel comfortable providing advice on it. PLEASE SHARE THIS DOCUMENT TO HELP THOSE TRYING TO ESCAPE THEIR STATES.

*The states are categorized based on Erin Reed's and the Movement Advancement Project's categorizations/metrics for transgender or LGBTQ+ adults rather than children. Both sources have been linked in the google doc for ease of access.

Urgent Mutual Aid Request for Trans Couple Fleeing Red State

I feel like I'm being "that guy" by asking, but everyone online is telling me that mutual aid and community are how we'll get through this presidency so I'm going to swallow my pride and give it a shot. I'm really sorry, but I'm so desperate. My wife and I are urgently trying to relocate from Georgia to Massachusetts and we have no idea how we're going to afford it. My wife is a teacher and we're extremely concerned about their job security as an lgbtqia+ teacher in the deep south. I am medically transitioning and look visibly trans and am scared of simply going out in public in the deep south, not to mention losing access to gender affirming care. We are both chronically ill and disabled, and I currently can't work because my health is taking a nose dive. We have until spring of 2026 when my wife's work contract and our apartment lease is up. I'm desperately hoping that we will have the money to put a down payment on an apartment by the beginning of 2026. If anyone is able to help at all or even just share my GoFundMe, I would be eternally thankful.

Both Valentine's Day coming up and watching Too Hot To Handle have me thinking about relationship stuff . . . it seems most of the people on the show have problems with relationships due to a complicated history with them, which has made me wonder what my problems are and if I'd even be any good in a relationship, due to my lack of them

And I think it's made me realize that as much as I talk about yearning that I'm also terrified of trying to find someone, due to how completely undesirable I've always felt - no cishet guys ever wanted to be involved with me before I realized I was trans, and I'm hesitant to find out if any gay/bi/pan guys would want to be involved with me now cause I'm afraid I'm going to find out I'm still undesirable, and my lack of relationships wasn't due to not having found myself, but due to no one wanting me regardless of my identity 😞

But then I'm also afraid of finding out someone does like me cause it freaks me out when people act overly interested in me, cause it makes me feel like there's something they're trying to get out of me or some advantage they're trying to take, and it's worse still when they try to compliment me, cause nothing else makes me quite that uncomfortable - I'm sure that's based on my lack of confidence and feeling unwantable and it's just all . . . ughghgh

I guess it's good to realize and reflect on all of this but I'm not sure what to do to fix it
