okay I tried to make a post about trust vs. love in the codependent clusterfuck love triangle of Team 7 but I couldn't figure out so. Here take this handy dandy chart that's a complete eyesore go on FETCH

(inside the triangle is focuses on trust, outside of the triangle focuses on romantic love. Basically it boils down to Sakura loves Sasuke but trusts Naruto with her authentic self, Sasuke loves Naruto but trusts Sakura with his authentic self, and Naruto loves Sakura but trusts Sasuke with his authentic self. For the record I am a firm NaruSasuSaku truther, but these individual dynamics are important even taking that into account, I think; even if the 'unrequited' feelings of the triangle are requited, there's still the quiestion of who's been living with their longing longer and who's been holding their heart before they even had their love. ALSO I DO have more complex thoughts about literal soulmates Sasuke and Naruto, but I am SO tired and I figured there are more adept scholars then me in that field of study, plus I was running out of space in the triangle. I feel like we don't give enough credit to the fact that Sakura did not have to cheat on the written portion of the chunin exam. They had to sneak in ranked, fully adult members and Sakura is just like "oop better get started this exam is a little long."

currently thinking about that one moment from thh that was lost in translation… that bit from the first trial where they’re discussing aoi’s alibi (in reference to getting the knife) and how she was in the kitchen with sakura the whole time?

this is how the conversation goes in the english translation

obv in english this can be chalked up to him just like… not knowing her name. but the reason he asks is because when aoi mentions sakura, she refers to her as sakura-chan and everyone else atp only knows her by her surname and MAYBE an honorific (or a flat out insult, thank u hiro hagakure)

Papercraft Sakura! I based her dress on her play costume from the second Cardcaptor Sakura movie. Picking a specific outfit was hard, because all her clothes are so nicely designed - but y’all know me; I’m always excited to use pink. 🌸 

Her hair color was also tricky to choose, because it varies so much between adaptations! In the end I skewed more toward the very light brown from the manga and Clear Card anime, but added a few areas of slightly darker brown as a nod to the older series.

An interesting little fun thing with team 7 is that you assume that Sakura's gonna, like, woobify and simplify Sasuke by putting him on a pedastal,cause her goal is centered around him and shes a 12 y/o fangirl so like of course her understanding of him is skewed cause she doesnt see him as a person, just an object of affection, right? She's can't get Sasuke, can't imprint on and/or traumabond with him like Naruto and Kakashi do. They don't see him with rose tinted glasses, because they've lived through their own Horrors and empathize with Sasuke's experience.

......right?

WRONG lmao!! They have too many ghosts!! Naruto's single-minded codependent ass won't get out of his own way long enough to see Sasuke for who he actually is, only able to empathize with the parts of his trauma Naruto relates to and not really capable of understanding him outside of the context of himself (because Sasuke is. His other half). And Kakashi is far too jaded to be fair to him!! He can't decide if Sasuke is gonna end up as a mini-him or a mini-Obito or maybe a mini-Itachi, but either way he ALSO is too traumatized to see Sasuke AS SASUKE.

meanehile SAKURA'S autistic ass may have dogshit empathy, but you know what she does have? A special interest in sasuke. Nothing better to do then give herself a degree in Uchihaisms. She can write character studies about him. she can read his soul. Whenever she says something about him she is right. Every fucking time! She is RIGHT!!!!
