A couple of teeny snippets from a fluffy WIP as I haven't posted in a while.

💚 - - - First snippet - - - 💚

Virgil stared down as he cradled his very-own, real-life miracle.

He'd always wanted to be a dad, he'd just assumed it hadn't been in the cards for him.

International Rescue, truth be told, had been amazing for the occasional hook up, but it had hardly lent itself to long-term relationships. Every relationship was automatically long-distance. Dates were always thwarted by call-outs, and meeting genuine, salt-of-the-earth people had been challenging at best. So, he had drawn the conclusion that not being able to have a family of his own would be the price he'd pay for his role in International Rescue. A role that saved lives daily - so how could he complain?

Tiny fingers reached out from white cotton.

Thank God he had been wrong.

Virgil felt his daughter's dainty, little fingers grasp  around his own, and a sudden well of emotion caught within his throat.

God, she was so beautiful.

He loved every inch of her; her bright saucer eyes...her adorable button nose...those small newborn snuffles and grunts...she was utter perfection. 

Little one wrestled against a gigantic yawn (for one so small), then stared up at Virgil with a small frown as she struggled to focus.

Virgil planted a kiss on her soft, downy head, and smiled.

"Hello little one.”

Scott watched his brother with a smile.

"Y'know...Virgil's always said he was made for heavy lifting. I disagree. He was made for this. He was made to be a dad."

Grian is like a top tier avian. He’s a great flier probably can be avian instinct brr without being a idiot. Literally has wings that is like avian beauty standard.

While Jimmy half the time forgets he has wings. And falls off buildings all the times. And like he is a absolute idiot when it comes to avian instincts. His avian instincts never fail to make him awkward or a doofus.

Also because it gives me joy literally tango will loudly proclaim how pretty and fluffy Jimmy is because BIG SOFT and WARM that probs can’t fly fast but has a heavier endurance.

And yes numerous times Jimmy slaps people faces with his wings when he’s gets emotionally excited.

Just Classy Avian that is a dangerous predator Vs dude with downy that still can’t fully fly as he forgets he has wings on a daily basis.

Oh my god Jimmy lol. Now personally I subscribe more to the idea that Jimmy is just a little clumsy in general, but still a skilled flyer when it matters. When it comes down to it, he WILL save people's lives (and his own) using his flight when it counts. It's just his silly personality and not-thinking-it-through mentality and his occasional clumsiness and spaciness that give the impression that he's NOT a great avian lol. Meanwhile, Grian is just on another tier of avian that very few achieve, so by comparison, his little brother looks like an absolute fool pfft.

HOWEVER I'll agree that the mental image of that divide, of Grian and Jimmy's polar opposite approach to the avian-ness, is just - lmao - it's just so great to picture 😂 It's like in those fics where Jimmy wasn't an avian until the Watchers made him into one, so he's still kind of a noob when it comes to traditions and instincts, while Grian is over here shouting at him because he gave Tango or Scott a feather without knowing how significant that actually is to most birbs

(...someone should write a fic about that one day, where Jimmy is basically doing avian courting stuff but he isn't trying to, and NOBODY BUT GRIAN knows this, so Grian's getting horribly huffy about it while everyone else is just like "Wtf is his deal?")

Harry is the first child out of four to famous film director Harry Griffin Sr. ( Steven Spielberg fame ). He had always grew up around movies.

Going to movie premiers were just fun family activity for Harry growing up. He also loved to visit his father on set. He did get small background roles in a lot of his father's films.

His family moved from London to LA when he was fifteen. His mother wanted him and his siblings to have a little bit of a normal childhood. He attended the best private schools both in London and LA.

By the time he was turning 18, Harry was in the spotlight. The world knew about him, from his father. He was a bit of a teenage heart throb that wasn't actually in the film industry. All of his fame came from his father's success.

His curiosity on getting more into film industry had him asking other directors, who were friends of his father to be in their movies. It took a while but Harry got his first acting credit in a small period film . It showed off Harry's true acting skills.

Soon every teenage girl had posters of him on their walls. Harry was going to events and premieres just for him to be there on the carpet. He became a true 90's heartthrob

His next movie he landed was a large budget historical piece . The director loved his look that they needed him to be in the film. The film blew up in the box office sky rocketing Harry's career. He was one of Hollywood's biggest name before 30.

After the success of the film, he took a few roles here and there but it was at this time that he wanted to work behind the scenes and start producing. Mostly working with his favorite directors and cast. He did this for a few years, taking a break from being in the main spotlight. He didn't stop acting, just not taking the main lead.

It was the casting choice for one hugely anticipated superhero movie that got Harry back in front of the camera. He was the number one choice to play Superman in the latest remake. He took pride in the role, enjoying the promotion for the movie. The fandom the came with the movie really

Headcannons;

Despite being a born and raised in London, a lot of people believe he is American after his role as Superman.

He is a huge comic / superhero fan. He even produced all the Superman films he was in. As well some other super hero films.

He has a three year old Border Collie, Quinn, to keep his home occupied.

Some fun facts for the 🦖Dino Squad🦕 AU :

• The teens have vaguely known each other for awhile before the dino stuff kicked off, they've done group projects before, they just weren't really close (like the gang from Dino Squad was at first).

• With dinosaur instincts, the teens all act strange from time to time.

• For Logan and Victor with dinosaur instincts, towards the humans they dislike they are aggressive, for the ones they hate they are murderous (possibly would eat them/view them as prey), and towards the dinosaurs/teens they act rather broody, excited, friendly, and rather pleased.

• Some of the teens (plus the two adults) have feathers. Allosaurus!form of Scott has bits of downy feathers that are slowly fading, Quetzalcoatlus!form of Pietro has a covering of fuzzy down, and Dakotaraptor!form of Reader has feathers from head to toe. Same goes for Logan and Victor. Fluffy raptor group🤗🪶!

• Logan and Victor are ancient. They aren't really sure how old they are, but they know they are over millions of years old, older than the human race.

• Due to being so old and being the only known survivors of the entire dinosaur species proper, when they discover the teens (dinosaur form only for Victor, and both identies for Logan), they get rather excited. To them, it's a sign. They aren't alone anymore, and they can actually have a hand at parenting and protecting and brooding over young.

• The teens are good at certain skills, similar to the original Dino Squad. Some of those skills are different, though. All of them have at least one hobby that comes in handy in a certain situation. Pietro is good at running (both his mouth and with his legs), Scott has basic first aid knowledge and is good at sports, Remy is prone to stealing things so he is good at hiding and seeking things (useful if you and four other people are running from a group of your enemy's henchmen), Rogue is strong and knows how to fix certain things (thank heaven someone in the group does!), and Reader knows about different deadly and dangerous plants and animals (very useful when that aforementioned enemy changes the environment or its inhabitants).

• The teens' diets change due to their newfound dinosaur DNA. If the dinosaur they are ate fish, they gain a seafood-focused diet. If the dinosaur they are ate plants and/or fruits, they aim for more vegetarian dishes. And if they were a carnivore, they would mainly eat meats or meat-oriented meals.

• Y'all remember how Ms. Moniyhan had a nickname/codename she gave herself (it was Mama-saurus)? Yeah, Logan calls himself Papa-saurus. In his point of view, that is what he is, and he thinks it's a fitting nickname/codename for the kids to call him (also feeding his parenting/nurturing instincts).

• Sometimes one or more of the teens gets caught. And sometimes they even see Victor. He has different environments built for each teen/dinosaur, in his large base, so they can rest and be back in what he sees as a comforting/needed territory. He provides the best foods for their species, keeps different nests and resting grounds in each special biome, and oversees anything involving checking/doctoring them.

• If anyone were out to hunt the teens as trophies, both Logan and Victor would aim to kill. No one messes with their kids/dinosaurs and gets away with it. Those two don't want to lose them, and can't stand to be alone again. Anything that is a threat to the teens existence is swiftly and surely dealt with, out of sight and put out of mind.

• Logan takes the teens on group outings. Sometimes it's the whole group, sometimes it's one-on-one. He wants them to experience their dinosaur self fully, and safely. He gets to teach them what he knows about their species, and he gets quality time with them.

• Victor is unsure if Logan is alive or not. The two of them split up (read: Logan running from him as he grew more hateful and dubious towards humanity) and he hasn't seen his little brother since. He wants to know, but his searches haven't found anything so far. Logan, on the other hand, knows Victor is alive, and has been avoiding him for a very, very long time.

• No one feels the urge or instincts to kill/eat each other. For Logan and Victor, that part of them died out when they realized they were the last living dinosaurs, and that if another came along, they couldn't stand to lose what little could be left of their dying/dead species. The teens, on the other hand, never had that instinct passed on, so it never registered (plus power of friendship!).

I hope this was a little bit helpful. Just a few ideas and headcanons for this au. I might make another one of these to address future plots and ideas for this au...

The Colorist

God is an Indian---He loves gay color so... Red, yellow, purple, oranges and blue Are in the sky at the sunset, at the sunrise, too. God is Irish--He likes green color best. All the trees and grasses in green garments oft-times dress. God is Saxon, stern and cold. For snow is white and ice is cold. The downy clouds are white. And a White moon peeks when lovers pledge their troth. Cotton is white and snowy lambkin's fleece.

God is African---for night is robed in black. The twinkling stars are black men's eyes, The black clouds, tempests tell. While little seeds of flowers birthed are Tans and browns and black....
