Can I request a vampire and a werewolf hanging out, talking about their terrible and eternal curses that robbed them of their humanity?
Request #31
I feel like this turned out a lot cuter than the request suggested, lol.
"I miss the sun," the vampire started. They were sat on the porch steps of a cabin, staring out at the dark woods around them. "I feel like my world is missing colour. Like the second I got bit my sight switched over to grayscale."
Beside them, following their gaze, the werewolf could almost understand that. The forest looked so vibrant during the day: glowing green in amber light, speckled with the red and brown of mushrooms and the white of clustered flowers; there were pink blossoms in spring, and in the fall the valley was overcome with orange - that single colour sweeping through everything in its path without remorse or signs of stopping. The moonlight ruined that though. It washed it out, and the shadows dulled whatever remained.
"I can understand that," the werewolf said after some consideration. "It must be hard, only ever seeing half of what the world has to offer."
The vampire hummed. "Warmth too. I miss days when I could just lie in the sun."
The werewolf took the confession as an invitation to move closer. They repositioned themself behind the other's back, arms encircling the vampire's waist whilst their nose nuzzled against their neck - taking in their scent slowly.
"I miss my control," the werewolf admitted. "I hate having days that I don't remember. Days that could change everything for me - and usually never in a good way."
Nothing was scarier than waking up in the middle of nowhere, alone, not knowing what had come before that. Sometimes they'd find blood under their fingernails or fresh injuries like something else had tried to mawl or ensnare them.
"Perhaps I can remember those days for you," the vampire offered. "To the best of my ability - if you like."
The werewolf paused, a little taken aback. "You would do that for me?"
The vampire leaned back into them, turning to place a kiss against the werewolf's forehead. "Of course I would. It's the least I could do."
In response, the werewolf let out a small rumble of a sound as they returned the affection, first kissing the vampire's lips and then their neck - pulling them in closer still.
"Maybe I can return the favour: provide enough shade for a sunset. Sunrise, even, if you're feeling brave."
The vampire chuckled, hands locking around the werewolf's own. "Brave? I think you have me mistaken for another vampire."
"Hmm, well, certainly brave enough to share a bed with a wolf."
"How else would I stay warm in winter?"
"Ah, so I'm just a glorified radiator now then?" the werewolf asked.
"Yes, amoung other things..." the vampire teased.
"Other things?" The werewolf let out a low growl, tail wagging behind them in a playful manner. "You want to expand upon that?"
All too happily their partner complied. "Well, you're also a spectacular pillow. Very comfy. Not to mention a pretty reliable chair - sometimes even a footstool when you're in one of those moods where you just like to curl up on the floor and--"
"I'll show you who's a footstool!" the werewolf declared suddenly, standing and taking the vampire with them as they turned back towards the cabin.
The other let out a startled yelp that broke into giggles, struggling lightly as the werewolf threw them over their shoulder. "Werewolf, no! D-Down!"
"Down?! Oh, you're in trouble now!"
They went inside, laughing, closing the door behind them softly with the vampire tucked tight between their arms.
The curtains closed soon after.
An hour later and pink light was spilling across the sky, the werewolf peeking out at it whilst their partner slept contentedly on the bed - lovingly bundled up to their chin in blankets.
One day, the werewolf thought. One day they could share this.
But not just yet...

the saga isn't quite over yet tho
So, the kitchen. Well it still needs painting but also now I have to put everything away. We ate dinner Friday night over at dude's mom's house because all our food was there and also we didn't have chairs in the new kitchen yet.
Yeah. We gotta go find chairs.
First I want to start off with this detail.
Tumblr media
[image description: a close-up of the white tiled wall, where it intersects with the ceiling, one of the cabinets, and the stainless steel vent hood over the stove. The tiles are staggered in a regular pattern, but there is a tiny, maybe half-inch-wide segment of tile next to the cabinet in every other row, which I know Jim had to painstakingly trim off and carefully adhere like that, so that it looks like the pattern goes behind the cabinet.] I pointed those out to Jim and said I loved them, and he smiled and said they were a pain in the ass but there's no other way to do it, and I said I would always always look at them and think about what a pain in the ass they had been to do.
Anyway. Friday evening we brought the cat over and she realized with delight she could not only get to her window but also then traverse the entire expanse of cabinet, daintily picking her way over the stove to go over the sink and stare out that window too. She's not likely to get into stuff and clearly did not enjoy crossing the stove, so I'm not super worried about her actually getting into trouble. We made do, sitting at the counter on a combo of the folding stool and dude's work chair which is adjustable to... not high enough but... well at least it's sort of comfortable.
There is a pile of very long trim pieces that is shoved into the living room and is sort of preventing use of about half the couch, so I didn't have anywhere else to sit all evening, lol. Good thing the chair was comfy, and I didn't totally mind it being too low.
But I was resolved that Saturday we were getting chairs somehow.
Saturday morning we got up and got ready, and discovered that our coffeemaker, a Mr. Coffee in excess of 15 years of age, had developed a fatal issue. Dude's mom only has a little one-cup Keurig and so we brought our machine over, and in the move it developed a crack in the pipe that brings water from the heating element to distribute it over the grounds. This is not really repairable. I had to kind of convert it from a drip to a pour-over, and stood there with the kettle carefully pouring water through the basket. RIP Mr. Coffee, you served us well and long.
Dude opened Wirecutter and looked up drip coffeemakers. He also researched stainless steel cleaners for me, and confirmed our itinerary with me.
We hit the road and got to Target before 9am. We got a bin to fit under the sink for recyclables, we got the last bits of shelf liner I still needed, we got a dish drainer (a nice, new, small one so we could retire the large decaying bamboo one we got also 15 years ago). We got hot glue sticks, randomly, because I need some. And we got the Cuisinart coffee maker that Wirecutter had said was the best drip coffeemaker for most people.
Then we went to Big Lots in case they had counter-height stools. They didn't.
Then we went to a different commercial region ten minutes away. (That's how it works, there are little clusters of shops along various roads and there's different ones in different areas. This other cluster also had a Target but an inferior one.) We went first to a plaza with a Petco, to get the special cat food Chita likes that isn't at the grocery store, and next door to that was a Harbor Freight, that sometimes has good rolling stools, but they did not have anything suitable. Next to *that* was a Raymour & Flanagan furniture store.
Well. When we entered the furniture store, we unwittingly passed through some kind of portal, as it was much larger on the inside than on the outside. We wandered, dazed and lost and slightly overheated; we sat in some chairs and they weren't quite right, those were too hard, these had nail head designs on the backs that dude didn't like, these were a dark wood that matched nothing in our house. The saleslady found us and asked to help, and we tried to show her the first ones we'd looked at, which had been sort of close to what we wanted, but we could not find them and roamed a long time, together with her, finding new rooms full of other furniture, lost and weary. Finally she just searched their website, and found that nothing answered the description we'd given her and that she was sure she'd also seen somewhere around here. She gave us her card, and we stumbled back out into the morning, feeling like we'd sojourned a thousand years in the fairy world.
We went to Homegoods, which I'd been to the week before, and they'd had some stools that I thought sounded a lot like what Dude was describing as his desired seating item. So I led him straight to them. They had a total of six stools in their display. Four of them were of one set. And Dude was like "Oh yeah! Just like that!"
So we pulled one out and sat on it, and it was comfortable enough, and the right height, and functional, so we said probably we should get these. And we went over and got some kitchen storage thingies, some lazy susans and a drawer organizer thing and whatever, but then we came back to these stools and there was an employee there and we asked her if we were supposed to just shove these in our cart or what and she was like oh hang on and got a guy from the back to come take them to the front, and he was like "your name's on 'em so just say those are yours when you check out". Bada-bing. We got two of them, apparently Nautica brand, which I've heard of but don't know anything about. Sure!
Tumblr media
[image description: a view into the trunk of a hatchback (Subaru Forester), showing two gray-upholstered wooden stools crammed in 69-style to the left (in the progress of being crammed in, there's Dude's arm in the middle pushing the second one), and to the right is a Target bag and the box of a coffeemaker and the recycle bin and all the shit we got at Target jumbled into the corner.]
Triumphant, we set out for home, but there was another furniture store on the way home and Dude wondered if we ought to go see, just to see what they had. So we did, we went in and I beelined for the recliners.
See, the thing is, Dude's mom has a recliner in her living room. And it's the throne, where she watches TV. And Chita loves to sit on it, it's where she spent most of the time we were staying there. And I sat in it mostly because that's where the cat wanted to be, but oh wow, it was comfortable. And lo... when I stood up, my hip was in the right place, and there was no pain, unlike when I unfold myself from shrimping on the couch and have to put myself back together every time.
And yeah my general pain levels were way down the whole time we stayed there, even though the mattress is way too hard and ought to have fucked me up pretty good. And...
shit. I'm the kind of middle-aged that needs a recliner.
And they had one, at Ashley, and it was on sale for enough that the delivery fee and taxes still made it come out less than the sticker said. But they can't deliver it until late January. Which is fine because our living room is full of kitchen furniture and I have to finish putting all of it away.
So. New kitchen and also new living room furniture. But I'll worry about that later.
Now we could go home triumphantly and get started putting stuff away.
The chairs are yet another neutral, but it's a coordinating neutral, they kind of match the countertops, with a creamy-white kind of base color flecked in grays. We have made no progress thereby at choosing a color for the kitchen-- I had been prepared to accept a boldly-colored item and have to pick colors around it, but no. We remain classy, tasteful, and neutral, and I'm going to have to do something about it.
Tumblr media
[image description: A bay window with a glossy countertop in front of it, and in front of that are a pair of counter-height stools, with cream-upholstered seats and backs, and wooden legs.]
I think I need a better lamp to go on this windowsill. There's plenty of lighting in the room, but no non-overhead light for this space, and nothing controllable from this end of the room. I'm vaguely considering a tiny chandelier if I can find such a thing, that would be fun.
I also think it would be fun to install some kind of art piece up there in that chunk of wall between the trim and the ceiling, you see that narrow band there? It's like six or eight inches by like. 48 inches. I'll measure it later. A slogan would be funny but I also just had the idea of like, a mini Bayeux tapestry only depicting some other kind of event, not sure what.
I'll put it on the list, LOL.
Anyway-- the really critical things are 1) that it turns out our gray kitchen coordinates beautifully with our gray cat, who is of course the most beautiful, and 2) our gray cat can hop up on these stools and thus is able to avail herself of Attention and Snuggles. (I had worried I'd have to get her a stepstool I'd have to then leave set up, so she could reach this window.)
Tumblr media
[Image description: a gray and white cat is encircled within a man's arms on the kitchen counter, and has the back of her neck pressed against his face, her eyes closed in contentment.] She was rubbing her ear against his nose, which is a thing she for some reason loves to do.
So. All is well. I've been putting things in cabinets and taking them back out, and running everything I possibly can through the dishwasher, and to my astonishment haven't wrecked a thing yet I didn't intend to (I already know from being at my sister's that a certain category of plastic container will mostly melt in there but that's fine if you're just trying to get it clean to recycle it, it's not like it gets onto other things). And Dude realized the dishwasher has an app, so he paired his phone to it.
At Middle-Little sister's prompting, we've named the dishwasher Suds MacKenzie, since it lets you pick a name and that's the funniest one we could think of.
We retrieved our groceries from Dude's mom's house and cooked dinner and set off the smoke alarm so now we've really broken it in.
The stove is *really level*. For the record.

Evenfall Grove Dev log 3
Busy, Busy, Busy.
My partner got a new job recently, so I've been helping him prepare and not feel so nerves. That being said, I have been getting stuff done here and there when I can.
I keep thinking "Oh, I finally have a little time to sit and draw/write!" then something new pops up for us. 😂 It's a bit funny, but also makes me so frustrated with myself. But- This is also my first game on my own, so I guess playing it slow and steady isn't the worst thing...
Tumblr media
I have been finishing up Heke and Constantin's re-design, while Ashborn is done (expect their full portrait to be posted soon!) Also, say hi to Ash's friend. He's a small and mighty bird.
I'm going to miss colouring Ashborn's picture, they were just a vibrant assortment of colours compared to the other two. (Question to build the hype for our gorgeous witch's full reveal! Would you let Ashborn give you a tattoo if they asked? Better yet, would you get matching tattoos?)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I like Heka's neater attire since I wanted him to be well-kept and comfy. Lots of soft fabrics and loose clothes. I also added more make-up and designs to his human form because my boy has FLAIR. (Should I post shirtless Heka to show off his chest markings? Hmm....)
I believe I mentioned it already, but I wanted Heka to give a welcoming presence, if a little mysterious. The only off-putting thing I kept was his human body's eyes... But there's a reason for that decision....
Tumblr media
Constantin is less bulky and features more sentimental accessories (He's not going to be an easy one to romance the more and more I write....) and tighter attire... I stand by my decision. He's a Hunter, so to me, he needed something that wouldn't restrict him, but also not weigh him down too much. Also had to add the eye cover for his scarred eye. The more I write, the better I can see how these characters present themselves.
For instance, Con is a character full of guilt, shame and fear. The scarred eye is the one injury he ever felt he deserved and it's also his biggest shame, so he would be the sort to cover and hide it.
I don't have much else to update on, other then I've been mindlessly writing and drawing when I can. It's all a cluster of mess, but I'm at least happy I'm moving along despite life not giving us a moment to breath.
I've also been thinking, since it was recommended, to create a Patreon! I wanted to post about it to get some feedback and hear what you all would like to see! So far I was thinking exclusive stories, art and early access, etc. Maybe also extra NSFW stuff? Hm...
Anyway. Thank you to everyone still following along with the progress and giving Evenfall a second thought. It means so much to know how many of you are interested in Evenfall Grove. It helps, more then you'll ever know, to keep me creating! So again, thank you!
Final thing, I will try to put aside some time to answer ask this weekend, so feel free to throw any feedback, questions and curiosities over there!

CW: Suggestive(?)
Credits to all the artists!
Yet another Picrew cluster of a character. I'd like everyone to meet Matt, Jim's British brother.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My guy's the most affectionate beanpole of a off brand emo kid ever, I swear. He's only a few inches shorter than his brother, and does indeed, pick people up and carry them around. He's very sweet, and a bit soft-spoken.
Matt is the kind of guy to make you surprise-cookies, just because. And DAMN does this guy make a mean pie. Oh what's that? Your day is even a LITTLE sad? NOT ANYMORE, YOU'RE GETTING HUGGED AND SMOOCHED (if you're okay with it, obviously), AND FED ALL THE SNACKIES (once again, if you're okay with it. He is super careful and considerate of people's needs and such.)
He's straight as a board, and cisgender, HOWEVER, he will absolutely wear feminine clothes and black lipstick. He can oftentimes be seen when in formal occasions wearing a black turtleneck sweater with pearl earrings and necklace. Also will rock mom jeans.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Matt is the only person Jim trusts to watch his kids if need be.
The lad here can and will absolutely cuddle with you on the couch if you ask. He's gonna be the big spoon, so you feel nice and safe! Oh what's that? You wanna sit in his lap?
"well of course, darling!"
If you fell asleep on him, he would simply just move you so you're in a more comfy position, ie, laying on his chest, etc.
It doesn't matter if you're just friends or something more, he's happy to let you do whatever you like. Platonic cuddling needs to be more of a thing.
He's more tolerant than his brother, and a lot less violent, seeing as his brother is a ex mercenary, and Matt here, he's a librarian.

8. Catnip: The End
Sorry for the long gap.
Previous
Masterlist
CW: tiny whumpee, comfort, happy end.
=-=
Time passed. A long time in which, although many things happened, none of them was bad. Nepeta has a job now, both an in-cluster one; helping to maintain the beehive. And an out-cluster one; drawing plant illustrations on herbology books.
He was mostly used to Cindy now, he actually liked her. He knew for a fact that she wouldn't hurt him. He still, sometimes, feels like she’ll, but she said that it’s okay to take his time to relearn that.
That place was, he found out, not Cindy’s actual house. She spends a lot of time there, and there is rarely a day where she doesn’t pay a visit, but she lives elsewhere; Calen said it was so they would be more comfortable, and while it felt so ungrateful of him to be relieved that his giant benefactor wasn’t around all the time he still was.
Sometimes when they are having a party day, and everyone is smiling and chattering, flash of his last day with Lix back, while the whole time with her was a blur, he remembered very well the way Cindy yelled at her. It’s odd, at first knowing she could get that angry was frightening, now it feels like he has someone strong to lean on.
“Hello, Nepeta, can you come with me?” Cindy asked, walking inside the room.
He nodded, dropping down his pencil. He didn't need to be talked into calming down at her presence anymore, so even though he was all alone with her he still allowed her to pick him up and walk towards the living room.
“I have good news today,” she said with a smile, and he flinched just a little bit at the sharp teeth in her mouth.
“n-news?” he asked. “What kind of news?”
They arrived in the living room, so Nepeta waited to be put down on the table where the others were before listening to the news.
“Remember when I tracked down the people who captured you and got them arrested?” she asked, and he nodded uncomfortably, “The other victims were housed elsewhere, and they have been helping us to track down the ones that were sold. I looked for every clue, and I didn’t find any other catnip fairy in their register;”
“Are you sure?” Nepeta asked, his heart was beating fast; he has been worried about his family since he was captured. “Are you sure they didn’t find the others? My my family and and the other they aren’t they didn’t they-”
“They weren’t captured, yes, these guys had well-kept registers, albeit in codes so it took a long time to decipher. They would have noted their capture down. There is one more thing.”
Nepeta shallow hard, “W-what?”
“I have many fairies friends of mine, some of which work with me and the others,” she must have noticed that he was growing nervous so she summed up. “In short, we may have found your family. It was hard since you don’t know where they are but- Hey, hey don’t cry.”
“Come here,” Tinar called, wrapping him into a hug that soon attracted all the other fairies into a big comfy ball.
“Sorry,” Cindy said in a low voice, crouching down near the table, “Sorry I made you cry. We aren’t sure if it’s them yet, but even if they aren’t we’ll find them one day. Don’t cry, please.”
“No, not that” Nepeta cried out, relieved, the others hugged him even closer as he let the tears stream down again, “T-thank you, thank you, I-” was so worried, I- If they were found because of me, if they were captured, if they had died because I- “T-they are are safe.”
“Yes, they are safe,” Cindy nodded and smiled.
“Easy there,” Calen said, drawing circles on Nepeta’s back, “Cindy will look for them, she is very good at it, until then you will be here with us.”
Nepeta nodded, he would go back home, he would see his family and friends again, he could barely wait for it. He wanted to be in peace and be happy with them again, he would also —he felt it— be happy with this new family too, it was the first time in a long while that he was sure he would be happy, that glancing at the future felt bright and happy.
“I-I love you all,” he admitted, sobbing too much to speak right after as everyone said how much they loved him back.
“I think that deserves a picnic,” Cindy smiled, “Let’s go cook ourselves something tasty.”

sobbing crying dying i promised myself that i’d sleep early in preparation of my semester starting tomorrow but i ended up coming up with a lil oneshot where it’s— wait this one might get long, hold on
there we go okay it’s where luka goes to bed very very late because he’s busy just staring at them both while in a side chair. both adrien and marinette are hidden in that massive cluster/mountain of pillows like he’s made them cozy up into it. (he did. marinette looks so comfy. adrien looks like a little kitten.)
he’s sitting there in the dark just eyeing them, afraid to go to bed and wake up with all of it gone and he’s back in hell and all of this was just a dream. it’s that type of fear where the stomache feels heavy and tight and cold and you can’t swallow; nervous and sweaty palms, too, just to complete the look.
marinette wakes up after a bit. shuffling around against the pillows trying to find him, and he sees her eyes kinda dart around when she realizes he’s looking at her from the dark room.
“luka?”
“here,” he murmurs. adrien is dead asleep, and probably won’t move for the next 3-5 business days unless they drop kick him.
i just want them to have a talk. marinette convincing luka to come talk about it in bed with them, where she drags her fingertips on his forehead and down his nose while he tells her of his fear. i want marinette to tell him: “it sounds like you’re too scared to truly live.”
“can you blame me?” he murmurs. “the last time i cared about my belongings and my family, i lost them. i cant keep losing the things i care about.”
“losing your family is hard,” she agrees. with a drowsy yawn, she adds: “it’s so hard to keep up when you think about all you’ve lost. but you can’t punish yourself for loving and wanting things, luka. it’s not a sin to love. it’s not a sin to care, either. you’re allowed to do that.”
he doesn’t have a response. not yet, anyway. she seems okay with it, sticking her cold nose against his collarbone and touching her tiny freezing hands against his side. tucked underneath him, he gets it. he gets what she means. his heartbeat is starting to slow down, too, which helps so much.
a kiss to her hair.
and though luka doesn’t sleep till much later, he internalizes what she’s said.

Character Survey of Doom for Arlo please :)
Tumblr media
Character Survey of Doom Part 1
Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character’s height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?  Arlo is very tall and slim. Due to his past illness, Arlo is more on the frail side. Despite being much taller than Fan, Fan has a stronger build than him. 2. How old is he?  He’s an adult. 3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch? He slouches, walks around looking at floor and hunched. He tends to walk absent-mindedly, as if he’s lost in thought, or staring at the sky as if looking for something. He will spot an herb a mile away yet manage to walk straight into a lamppost. 4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?  Arlo is frail. They have a tendency to get sick easily and do suffer from cronic anemia from their rundown with the rot. He also suffers the long lasting effects of having had the rot for so long.
Namely:
- Anemia; - Dispneia (shortness of breath); - Cardiac issues; - Hipotension; - Hipoglecimia; - Memory impairment; - Depression; - Dissossiation and apathy.
5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
He walks around very tense, as if he was constantly tired. He also tends to look around as if he is expecting to be followed and tends to be clumsy.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror? Arlo, as a Paradox, is considered to be very beautiful and alluring. Arlo's beauty, much like his father's is not natural and depends of being a Paradox. Truth is, if Arlo was not a Paradox, the rot would have deformed his appearance to the point he'd appear barely human, kinda like Deadpool. The heartlight fixed the bulk of the damage, but Arlo has scars from it.
7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?  Very fair, light. He has some scars that won't go away though. 8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.
His hair is straight, with some waves around the ends, black, very thin and fair. He enjoys wearing it long and loose at its own will, though sometimes he ties back the bangs. When he is hiding that he was a Paradox, he’d often wear the bangs to the front so they’d hide the third Eye, or impair its vision.
9. What color are his eyes?
His eyes and Eye are green, like his father. The color is very bright and appears unnatural.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
Third eye. Unnatural beauty and fairness. Lip scar that won’t go away.
11. What are his chief tension centers?
Cluster, around the eyes.
12. What is the character’s wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?
Casual and utilitarian. He wears a lot of black, tends to wear flowy and baggy clothes. He likes ‘looking’ like a mage.
13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?
Some of his clothes don’t appear comfy, but truth is, he doesn’t wear anything that doesn’t sit comfortably or loose around him. He is extremely sensitive to touch, both an effect of the rot and of being touch starved.
14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?
He dresses the same. He likes looking like a mage or alchemist.
 15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Commando.

Office Tables and Chairs for All Areas in the Modern Office
The primary pieces of office furniture which a business requires are the workstation clusters. However, there is a lot more to make the place comfortable and presentable. You will need different types of office tables and chairs for the different functional areas. Use some information and advice that will help you make the best choices for each particular area.
Conference Room
The office table and chairs for this room have to have a basic design, elegant looks, and great functionality. The size of the table depends on the number of people that you will have sitting around it during business meetings. It should correspond to the size of your operations. Still, you need to make the most out of the space available. At present, rectangular designs with straight lines are the trendiest, but an oval shape makes be more practical since you will be able to squeeze more people around.
When it comes to the conference room chairs, you can consider cantilever models. They are compact and elegant yet comfy. They easily move back and forth so using them will be simple. They are more basic than their swivel counterparts and consequently less expensive.
Break Room
You can consider placing cafe-height tables in this particular room in the office. You can also use utility tables for placing kettles, coffee makers, and other appliances. You can have basic folding chairs to save space and accommodate more people at the same time.
Reception and Waiting Room
The office tables and chairs for this room will say a lot about your business so it pays off to invest slightly more in them. The reception and waiting room have to make visitors comfortable, relaxed, and confident in your company. At present, the low-slung lobby-style furniture is the trendiest option for this area of the office.
You can readily consider wood coffee tables or ones with metal legs and a glass top. Glass and wood are a classy combination as well. Tub chairs are among the best options for the waiting room. You can consider adding a sofa with two, three or more seats. It is essential for the chairs to be strong and durable and to have a finish that is resistant to natural wear and tear and easy to clean.
Finally, you should check if any room requires specially designed office tables and office chairs. In an engineering company, for instance, special drafting furniture will be needed. If you have a training room, you will have to furnish it with specially designed pieces as well.

we haven't even been together 6 months yet....
Tumblr media
this option is totally more fun and has been growing on me since i made it. Me and my boyfriend are so the high energy couple so it would make sense if we had a high energy wedding. Fun colors, fun gimmicks, and all my favorite colors seem perfect but it's scary. I DON'T want to regret my photos in the future. Tay Tay is a corduroy type of man and I love dresses that are a slight subversion of classic. I also love the idea of couches and chairs instead of traditional seating. Clusters of like conversation pockets so people can get together and talk in a comfy manner. Like one big family :) I just love this one

I need a new niche interest to obsess over and I’m not able to pick. Can you infodump about your own hyperfixations so I can adopt one of them?
Just to ask something here, because between the last ask about hyperfixations and this one I found out that’s actually strictly an adhd term, right? Cuz regardless of suspicions I kinda don’t really have an official diagnosis or anything, so answering this ask As Is seems a bit like indirectly pretending I do, which seems?? Kinda mean to lead you on like that?? So, yeah. Just wanted to clarify/apologize/make sure everything’s cool and comfy here
But anyways, infodumping! I mean, there’s the usual, the videogames, kirby, pokemon, Zelda, minecraft, etrian odyssey- but those are like half this blog anyways and minus the last one not very niche so I kinda doubt they’re gonna be interesting. Uhhhhhhh if the following isn‘t doing it for you please tell me and I‘ll try to find something else, but otherwise
DID YOU KNOW CUCUMBERS ARE CACTI!?
Well not really. But I’m growing some right now and a) their leaves a *gigantic* and b) they’re very fuzzy but also kinda rough because of their hairs, while their stems are full on prickly- I’m guessing it’s a safety mechanism because the cucumbers grow very close to the stems so it makes sense, but having tiny plant-glass shards in your hand still hurts lol. Also depending on the sort, the cucumbers themselves can also have actual spikes. Their flowers are really pretty, they’re big and yellow with 5 leaves, kinda remind me of hibiscuses without the middle thingy. There’s usually separated male and female flowers (unlike tomatoes or peppers) but some variations are bred to only produce female flowers that pollinate themselves, and when they need the male ones for their seeds they make the plants grow those by using silver-ions, which sounds kinda metal ngl (pun absolutely intended). Also their tendrils? Twines? Are super strong for how tiny they are compared to the plant, if they feel something climbable they really latch on to that and don’t let go. They’re actually touch sensitive, kinda like Venus fly traps. Not as instantaneous though lol, it does take a bit of time.
I’ve also got two begonias that I saved from getting thrown into the trash, and apparently their flowers are edible…?? They are really pretty though. And change colors depending on sunlight! They’re apparently supposed to be sitting in half-shadows but mine are taking the sunlight pretty well and turns out if they get a lot, the plant gets redder- not just the flowers but also the leaves and the stems! They’re also male-female separated, with the male ones having differently shaped leaves (and I think I also counted 5 instead of 4?) that’re on top of a capsule holding the seeds, which are microscopically small! You can barely see them and gotta "plant“ them by brushing them like super fine sand. Also apparently another way of growing new ones is by just. Breaking off a branch and sticking it in the mud? Which is?? Super weird??? Because these guys are very fleshy and on normal difficulty, while the only other plant I know you can clone like that is my bow hemps.
And those guys are basically indestructible. Like, normally that credit goes to cacti but those need light. Meanwhile my big guy‘s been hanging out in my no-light-after-11am-room all this time and doing great. They only need water once a week normally but I forgot yet because it’s been sitting in shadows this guys been groovin though 3 weeks. There’s even a tiny baby plant growing! They only grow a single flower per cluster so the main way of getting more is by either chopping said babies away from the mother cluster, or by chopping leaves horizontally so you get stripes, and sticking those in soil. Apparently it can take months until something grows, though. Also when you use this method with the sort that has yellow stripes on the side, it‘ll lose those stripes? Even though the leaf stripe (and therefore the genes) has that yellow in it? Couldn’t find why that happens yet, but it’s interesting. The only way to really screw up with them is either bugs in the soil (though they can tank those too to some degree), or getting too much. Nutrients, but mostly water. It’s better to use pots that‘re a bit tighter and also have holes underneath because the biggest threat is rot, either root or stem rot. That’s also why you shouldn’t give them (or any plants that grow in this circle form) water from above, because it’ll get stuck inside the center and cause rot. It’s better to fill something up with water and put the pot inside, that way you also don’t risk giving them too much water and having it soak your entire floor/desk/etc. Also pots with holes are just better in general because all flowers got the same "too much water = drowned roots“ problem. (Except for my begonias for some reason which frequently get their entire soil drowned and still grow like nothing - even though they’re supposed to take it especially bad?? Not complaining though, just confused)
And tomatoes are berries which makes a lot of sense if you think about it but also feels horribly wrong since they’re neither sweet nor sour

The Future for a Jedi and a Clone
Part 2 to The Jedi of Pabu
It'd been two years since you'd let Hunter take you on a date. This truly was your happy ever after. You'd fought in the war, stayed dedicated to the Jedi order and survived the death of your people. This was your reward. Every morning you got to wake up to your husband who you'd only been married to for 3 months. Though, you'd been sharing a bed for much longer than 3 months. In a way, it was a benefit of the Jedi all dying, that you were now free to marry. Sometimes optimism wasn't always particularly appropriate, especially when talking about the order.
Like most days, you trained your padawans. Avix had made much progress in the past 2 years. It'd been aided by the discovery of an ancient holy site. It wasn't Jedi and was nowhere near as complex as the ancient temples, but it had a strong connection to the force. Although he hadn't passed the proper Jedi trials, he'd faced himself in those cave walls and you had decided to consider him a full knight. It was mostly because you now had a whole clan of younglings at an age where they needed to be taken on as padawans. You'd taken on 3 as your own and two were being trained by your former padawan.
The two remaining younglings went to school full time with the others but you pulled your padawans out. On days you taught at the school, you'd set tasks and missions for your group to complete. You were only 22 at this point and were already on your second, third and fourth padawans. Hunter certainly helped with the stress that came. He and Omega had moved in to your home permanently about 7 months after you met them. The human girl was so excited to share a room with her mirialan friend, Hetty.
Currently, you were having Hetty, Rena and Cain spar. Winner stays on. The one with the most wins got to have the comfy chair at dinner time. It was silly, but Rena and Cain didn't need much motivation to fight and Hetty enjoyed how cool she looked. You were watching them as you felt Hunter trying to silently sneak up on you. Sometimes he was successful, but most times you could feel him coming. Still, you let him come to you and wrap his arms around your waist. He brought his chin to your shoulder, as he always did, and kissed your cheek.
You hummed happily and turned in his hold. "What's a handsome man like you doing in a place like this?" He may've been your husband but you couldn't help but flirt with him still. You draped your arms around his neck and couldn't help but grin up at him. Growing up a Jedi, you never thought you'd get to have this kind of a future. Yet, here you were. In his arms, with him looking down at you as if you were the only thing that mattered to him in the galaxy. "I wanted to see my beautiful wife." He brought a finger to your cheek and brushed it so lightly that you could hardly feel anything outside of the slight movement of the tiny hairs on your cheek. You leaned your head so that your cheek smushed against his fingers and he chuckled a little. "My beautiful, needy wife." A word he'd used to describe you before, though rarely around others. Before you could think to retaliate, he left a soft kiss against your lips. It was short and sweet.
"Rena." You warned. You didn't have to turn your back to know someone was doing something but you were too caught up in Hunter in that moment.
"I didn't even do anything." The human girl protested.
"Sorry. Force of habit. Hetty, behave!" Cain started laughing at Rena and in return she yanked at the kiffar boy's hair. Hetty continued to make noises of disgust and kept pretending to vomit. You sighed and let go of Hunter as you turned to face them. "If you three keep this up, then nobody's going to get the comfy chair." They quickly stopped and apologised not forgetting to call you Master. You sent them off to eat and take a break and then you felt Hunter return to holding you. "I can't wait for us to have one of our own." He started to leave a small cluster of kisses on your shoulder as his chest left your back a little. You'd been trying to plan something a little special but the force was on your side. Now was the perfect opportunity. "Not even 48 weeks?"
"I thought pregnancy lasted 56 weeks." He said, with a bit of suspicion slipping into his voice. He wasn't wrong, though the first 3 weeks were before conception even happened. "It does." You couldn't help being a little smug as you felt him come to the realisation of what you meant. You turned again so that you were facing him for when he realised. "You mean?" You could see him trying to keep his excitement at bay until you confirmed it. Which you did with an excited nod. He grabbed you by the hips and spun you around as you clung around his neck. "We're having a baby." He announced to you with a smile that could outshine the brightest star. You could always count on him to have the best reactions to news. Especially news that you'd come together to make a tiny human. You hadn't expected the reaction to continue to him putting you down, kissing your unchanged stomach and mumbling something against it. "Y'know, baby can't hear you yet." You teased the man on one knee before you. Just like when he'd proposed to you. He looked up at you and shook his head a little. He was still smiling. "She can hear her daddy just fine." He left another kiss before standing back up and giving you another one on the lips. "Now, let's get you some food, ner mesh'la riduur." He took your hand and lead you back to the house. He hadn't been the best cook when you met but he quickly learnt and became a domestic god in no time. Taking care of a home and children suited him very well.
He started making you a plate of food and tried to give you an even bigger portion than normal. "Hunter. I can't eat that much." You whined but he still set the plate down in front of you and but his hands on his hips. "Half of it's for our ad'ika."
"Our ad'ika is smaller than my kyber crystal." You sighed, knowing you wouldn't win. You'd handled a group of rowdy younglings but he'd been the one in charge of his brothers. He had a lot more experience at this than you did. "Exactly, how's she going to become a powerful Jedi like her mummy if we don't feed her?" You didn't finish your plate and Hunter didn't insist on it. Instead he sat next to you and held you into him as you ate. You felt him rub a thumb over your belly as he mumbled to himself. "Ner aliit."
When you asked him later what it meant, he said aliit meant family. Something you were now expanding together.

1. Stud Earrings
Stud earrings, often called earrings tops, are little earrings that fit snugly on top of your ear lobe without falling down or creeping upwards. Stud earrings are often made of pearls or diamonds and have a simple design. Diamond stud earrings, particularly solitaire stud earrings, and pearl stud earrings are the most popular stud earrings.Fashion stud earrings come in a variety of styles and designs, including cluster earrings and large stud earrings made of enamel and other materials. Stud earrings are a must-have in every woman's jewelry box, and they can be worn everywhere and for any occasion, from the workplace to a night out.
2. Cluster Earrings
Cluster earrings are a sort of designer stud earrings that rest securely on top of the earlobe and are made up of a cluster of stones or crystals. Non-precious materials like enamel or mother of pearl embellishments may be used in designer earrings. These are ideal for somewhat more fun events such as informal hangouts or travels because they are both comfy and stylish.
3. Hoop earrings
The lightest pieces of jewelry a female may wear are hoop earrings, often known as Bali Earrings. These are one of the earliest forms of earrings, and they have been worn by women of many countries and times. Hoop earrings, also known as loop earrings, are shaped like a slim bangle that spans from the front to the back of your earlobe. Hoops earrings come in a wide range of sizes, from the size of a ring (also known as a huggie) to the size of a large bangle.Hoop earrings come in a variety of forms, including ovals, squares, and triangles.
4. Drop Earrings
Drop earrings are stud earrings that descend just below the earlobe yet keep close to the ears without dangling down. Because they hang underneath the earlobe, drop earrings are practically immobile. These are generally statement pieces that are suitable for an evening date or a special occasion such as weddings or a party.
5. Dangle Earrings
Dangle earrings, also known as danglers, are similar to drop earrings. The earring's top half is fixed and sits firmly on the earlobe, while the rest of the earring hangs freely below the ears. Dangler earrings are more intricate than stud earrings and have a higher glam factor. Dangler earrings are trendy and flexible, and they go with just about anything. Dangle earrings are the most popular and fun type of jewelry. They are quite versatile and may be worn with formals or a beautiful saree for a party.

- fangs
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You always wondered whether how sharp it is. Would it prick you? Draw out blood? Would it slowly drill a hole into something he bites? It glistens every time you gaze at it for too long. Sometimes, you noticed, that Zhongli gained a small habit of flickering his tongue on his right fang. Adorable, to say the least.
Most of the time, he hides those pesky little teeth, afraid you'll be intimidated. Yet the case stood the opposite.
"Can I see your fangs? Please?" One night, where the sky glimmered with pearls of newly born stars, you asked the man himself, calling him into your chambers. Curiosity, it always visited his consciousness, the answers he sought seemingly piquing his interest every time a question occurred.
Now, it was plainly the opposite; you sought for answers from him. Albeit pride necessarily shaping itself from your sheer orders, he can't help but divert his gaze from your ever-so-curious eyes to the carpet of your bedroom floors, cherry-color flushing the apple in his cheeks.
"Please?" You repeated again, tone desperate for a single approval, pressing him further into a predicament of choices.
How could one deny their Lord of any orders?
"Of course, your highness."
He grunted, you patted your silken sheets. He took the gesture and sat on the comfy mattress he specifically designed for you. You made your way to his lap, perching yourself comfortably in the position, surprising the ex-Archon, nonetheless, he relished in this Divine attention. After all, you've been nothing but patient for him.
A thumb nudged at his lips, urging him to open. He complied after a bit of pondering, tongue lolling out as there you see his alluringly shaped fangs. He dared not move his face away - lest he'll find disappointment measuring into self-torment- the look of splendor enough to keep him steady. Though, his arms moved to secure your back into his lap, kneading your hips as you lean your face more to his.
"They're so beautiful, Zhongli," You complimented, clusters of stars sprinkling into your eyes and gleaming, brightening the room. "May I touch it?"
"Of course you may, My God." His approval was enough to satiate your growing interest, slowly guiding your thumb to his right fang, playing with its curved shape. You both sat there in the comfort of the night, the time the pair spent estimating about an hour or two with your probing mind. Each of your questions slowly dwindles away, like grapes plucked out of a vine, they're set to grow once more in another season.
"Thank you so much, Zhongli," your gratitude earned a subtle smile, his eyes crinkling at the sides as you're off to slumber, a yawn dozing you off to the comfort of dreams.

evening rain
Tumblr media
evening coffee ; part three
rafe is away on vacation, but can’t stay away from you.
goodbyes are hard, but saying goodbye to your best friend who’s going to be gone for a month is harder. rafe had been gone to italy for a week. it was a much needed family vacation for the cameron’s and although you didn’t want rafe to leave he needed his space. he tried, though, to persuade you to come. he offered to pay for the entire thing, but you respectfully declined. and after many hugs and a few tears on your part, you sent him off.
every night, however, he would facetime you at eleven p.m. your time to talk for an hour before forcing you off the phone so you could sleep. you were working the opening shift this week so five-thirty wake up calls were in order.
today had been slow day. the recent storms were keeping customers inside save for the few high schoolers coming to the cafe to study. once you got home, you took a shower and changed into a sweatshirt and athletic shorts binging a new show, awaiting the highlight of your day.
ten-fifty rolls around and your cell phone rings. you snatch it eagerly and answer, rafe’s face popping up on the screen.
“hi,” you say with a grin on your face.
rafe returns it. “hey. you look comfy.”
“thank you. i am.” you were settled deep into the corner of your couch, blanket wrapped around your shoulders, tea on the table behind you. “how was your day…yesterday? what did you guys do?”
“we went sailing in capri and in the blue grotto. it was insanely beautiful,” he paused. “um, sarah and wheezie wanted to go shopping, so we spent a few hours store hopping. and then we got authentic italian pasta. today was chef’s kiss… you would have loved it. you have to let me bring you here one day.”
you hummed only imagining how pretty the water would be and how grandiose the island was. “sounds like a dream.”
he nodded moving out of frame before returning with a water. “how was work?”
shrugging, you answered, “it was okay. kinda slow. it’s rained everyday since you left. but- oh! your friend barry came by today. he’s hilarious. i wasn’t expecting him to be much of a coffee guy by the way you described him, but he came in knowing exactly what he wanted.”
rafe rolled his eyes with a laugh. “let me guess an americano?”
“with an extra shot and cream,” you added.
“he didn’t do anything illegal, did he?”
“nothing you wouldn’t do.”
he hummed with a shake of his head, eyes glancing out his hotel window. “woah, look at this.” he grabbed his phone and you could hear the water and chirping of birds. his messy hair and the top of his forehead was all you could see before he flipped the camera to show the sunrise. yellow and orange covered the sky, the sun creeping up to start the day. you could barely make out a cluster of boats already off the naples bay.
“i’m so jealous,” you muttered.
rafe flipped the camera back around. “don’t be. you’ll get your chance. i promise.” he stuck out his pinky and you stuck out yours. he settled back into his room, propping his phone against the wall behind the desk. “sarah, wheezie, and i are gonna go to the beach today.”
“are you excited?”
the dirty blonde nodded. “yeah, yesterday was the first day we felt like a family. no little petty fights and arguments, no judgmental glares. it was…it was good.”
“you sound really happy,” you said quietly. “i like that.”
rafe turns his face to hide his smile, but he can’t. he’s all smiles with you.
he can hear the light sound of thunder and he watches as your gaze floats out the window. he took a moment to admire the small upturn of your lips, your messy hair, the way your candle reflected light shadows on your face. he found you so effortlessly beautiful. you weren’t even trying, yet he still couldn’t take his eyes off you.
his thoughts are interrupted by your yawn, hand covering your mouth.
“someone needs some sleep, yeah?”
you shake your head. “no, i wanna stay up and talk with you.”
“i am not letting you sacrifice your sleep schedule for me. you don’t need to do that. these ten minute calls are doing just fine,” rafe argues.
a small frown forms on your lips. “i’ll always wanna stay up with you.”
rafe nearly goes speechless because he realizes quickly that you’ve only known him two months, but you care about him more than his girlfriend of two years did. and that annoyingly, sweet feeling is bubbling in his stomach like he’s a seven year old with a crush. (not that he has a crush on you…no, he couldn’t, right?)
“you’re too good to me,” he says after a minute. “but i know you have to be up at five so i’m gonna ask you to go to sleep. i’ll talk to you tomorrow, okay?”
you nod, another yawn escaping. “love you, cameron.”
“love you too, l/n.”
rafe’s heart is beating really fast.
