What if they didn't put ads every 3 posts. Three posts between ads, literally. Not even counting the ad for Tumblr Live.

Also what if tumblr didn't know what city Im in. I do not want my location tracked or stored anywhere unless I give explicit ongoing permission, like with my GPS app that I allow to track me only when the app is open, and then it deletes the data (allegedly) when I stop giving permission.

Fundamentally and in my SOUL I believe that if you are inspired to try and write fiction, your story is both important and worth telling. It doesn't mean what you're writing now is doing it justice and it doesn't mean you'll have the capacity or resources to be up to the BUSINESS of being an author (because it IS a business) and it doesn't mean you've somehow "lost" if you never write it down. But like, you did it. You had contact with a story. A real story.

It's just that sometimes there's so much doubt around whether or not you are BORN AN AUTHOR or MEANT TO WRITE and I think all that kind of thinking is essentialist and destructive. I just think that we are meaning-making and storytelling people and that is who we are. And your inner tuning fork is right. Your imagination is right. You're hearing something real, you're picking up on something that really is a story. Whether that gets executed and implemented in the WAYS that this current culture and society decides is "a story" is a long and winding story of its own but you can't let that determine the existence of the story in the first place.

Knowing your customers problems is the best way to sell a lot:-

Targeting problems,

Everyone talks about Targeting the problems of customers or prosperity

Everyone knows that by targeting the problems of the prospect/customers they can sell a lot

But

Do you guys know there are 3 layers of problems?

Most people target the first level:- The external problems level

But to make your customers/prospects tick... To make them do something, You'll have to go deeper

So what are those 3 levels of problems:-

1) External

2) Internal

3) Psychological

Now Let me break these down for you

1) External problem

It's the problem that people think they have ... But they don't have it in reality

Let's say

For example:- I want money, I want to earn 10k/m

This problem is surface level, that I want money

"Why I want money" is the real problem

2) Internal problem

These are the real problems that a person has

Let's say,

For example:- I want to earn money because I want to be free to do whatever I want

This is the real problem

"Freedom"

Freedom is what you should Target, Not the money itself

You can stop here ... But there's something deeper ...

3) Psychological problems

These are the indicators, these are the things that:-

"MAKE YOU REMEMBER YOUR PROBLEMS" on a day-to-day basis

Let's say

For example:- You are doing a job, not able to spend time with your family

Not able to do what you want

These make you remember that you want freedom, You want to spend your time however you want to

"Day-to-day things that make you remember your problems"

Those are the psychological problems

...

Understand these 3 levels of problems and you'll win over your customers

Because yeah... Problems/Pains are the biggest motivators

You must go deeper into these to sell a lot

Looking at my 4.0 for the quarter like wow this literally means nothing to me now

it’s funny watching Succession after watching a bunch of youtube analysis of Survivor and Big Brother

the thing with both those shows is you can fight your way to the final round based purely on your own ability, just win immunity every round so you can never be voted out

but the people who decide for you to win the whole game are the people who you sent home earlier in the game.   So you can get to the finish line thru strength/strategy but the only way to cross the finish line is with the social game.  And literally no one in Succession knows that at all

idk it’s just like v funny that Logan rules exclusively thru force and zero psychological/emotional manipulation.  Meanwhile he only does things that are his idears or things he thinks could’ve been is idear so it’s v obvious that you can’t tell him what to do, the only way to get him to do what you want is to make him think it was his idear.  Also Logan is definitely smart enough to be able to manipulate everyone around him thru these means, it would just require him to make other people feel like he thinks that they’re equal with him, which unfortunately means that course of action is inherently untenable to him.  His true purpose in life, according to him, is to make everyone know that he disrespects them because they’re lower than him.  All the power he wants is within reach, if only he would let people think he likes them a tiny bit so that they can let themselves like him enough to give him the power he wants

kudos to Kenny tho for doing baby’s first emotional appeal to the rest of the board by getting everyone to agree that they like him as a person more than they like Logan

also it’s so funny that the company is Disney’s tv shows+theme parks with Fox news’s news because that means all of their products is emotional manipulation of the audience.  So at the highest points of the company, nothing runs on emotional manipulation but at the company<>customer level it’s exclusively run on emotional manipulation

Robert Miles - Children 1995

"Children" is an instrumental composition by Italian composer Robert Miles. It was first released in Italy in January 1995 as part of the EP Soundtracks on Joe Vannelli's DBX label, but it did not chart. Vannelli brought the track to a nightclub in Miami where it was heard by Simon Berry of Platipus Records. Berry worked with Vannelli and James Barton (of Liverpool's Cream nightclub) to release the composition in November 1995 as the lead single from Miles's debut album, Dreamland (1996). "Children" was certified gold and platinum in several countries and reached number one in more than 12 countries and held that position for several weeks; it was Europe's most successful single of 1996. "Children" cost £150 to record. It earned Miles a Brit Award for International Breakthrough Act 1997, a World Music Award as World's Best Selling Male Newcomer, and various other awards.

Miles gave two inspirations for the writing of "Children". One was as a response to photographs of child Yugoslav war victims that his father had brought home from a humanitarian mission in the former Yugoslavia; and the other, inspired by his career as a DJ, was to create a track to end DJ sets, intended to calm rave attendants prior to their driving home as a means to reduce car accident deaths. "Children" is one of the pioneering tracks of Dream house, a genre of electronic dance music characterized by dream-like piano melodies, and a steady four-on-the-floor bass drum. The creation of dream house was a response to social pressures in Italy during the early 1990s: the growth of rave culture among young adults, and the ensuing popularity of nightclub attendance, had created a weekly trend of deaths due to car accidents as clubbers drove across the country overnight, falling asleep at the wheel from strenuous dancing as well as alcohol and drug use. In mid-1996, deaths due to this phenomenon, called strage del sabato sera (Saturday night slaughter) in Italy, were being estimated at 2000 since the start of the decade. The move by DJs such as Miles to play slower, calming music to conclude a night's set, as a means to counteract the fast-paced, repetitive tracks that preceded, was met with approval by authorities and parents of car crash victims.

It's is:-

The Flow - To make the reader read the whole copy

You might grab the readers attention with various things

And I'm not saying Heading, Sub-Heading & Images aren't important

But these are just to grab the attention

The most important part is keeping attention

I would want 10 people reading my whole copy more than 50 people quitting it midway

Attention is important but what do you say after getting it is even more important

Yandere Cheerleaders + Football Team

The thing about cheerleaders and the infamous football team is that they’re quite accurate to their stereotypes

Now not every cheerleader team is run by a head girl who’s a massive bully 

Or that the football team is filled with dumb jocks that are just as violent if not worse

But they’re nothing to scoff at 

They’re beautiful

They’re athletic

And they're disciplined with confidence that comes with successful games and competitions

Such perks might give them quite a bit of power

Power that’s doubled when they’re working together

If you’d like to be happy you’re better off not figuring out just yet 

Since your arrival to the University, you’ve noticed more of your things have gone missing

Maybe this move made you more frazzled than you thought

Because you’ve found that you haven’t been able to keep friends like you used to

At least not without some help

“So you’re the new student, huh? Welcome to Energi University. As cheer captain, I’m really happy to welcome you finally!”

As she drags you along throughout your schedule, you’re waiting for the punch line

The moment she switches to embarrass you or smile coyly as she says something underhanded about your appearance

But she doesn’t 

Only twirling her hair as she asks you where you learned to glow like you do

You find it odd but you’re not complaining

Movies taught you that she and her team were top of the food chain 

so if they liked you enough maybe it’d trickle to some friends eventually

“Looking for a partner? Me too. How about we uh work together, freshie. If we finish before class ends you can have my varsity jacket and I can have yours.”

It seems it works as the beefy but beautiful captain of the football team partners up during chemistry

Between the two captains, you think you’re making progress

Finally beginning to make friends

But you couldn’t be farther from the truth

Already you were skipping right into the pitfall that was their playground—Energi University

It started with the cheerleader’s captain, gorgeous, rich, and with a serious attitude problem

She was making her daily rounds with her two main girls

‘Putting the worms in their place’ as she’d report to her team

Until she found something interesting 

a glasses-wearing nerd had been holding a file, scrolling through someone’s social page with such dedication they didn’t even realize they were being cornered

And its not just someone—you

while her girls were exploring the use of pins on the human body, she was going through this fairly thick file

A file all about you

Filled with hundreds of pictures of you some with consent some not

Extensive organized lists of your likes and dislikes

And a neat report on your current whereabouts and social circle

By the end of it, she was intrigued

She’s never been one for reading but she just can’t put it down

Having to be brought back into the real world when her girls are done playing 

“Already? Ugh, let’s go find the next one this little report of his might be worth selling to those stupid jocks.”

That’s just an excuse 

she’s combing over your photos again as she re-reads about the mundane drama in your life

“Babe, I thought you said you wanted to spend time with me? Not lose braincells studying!” 

Her boyfriend–captain of the football team is trying to draw her attention with kisses and inviting touches

But she’s just too focused

Eventually, he’s going to snatch it all away, taking a look at it

“Who’s this? Your latest victim?”

“Puhlease they don’t even know me…yet.”

The nights they spend together is searching you on socials as they filter through these words about your world

There’s just something about you that has them enraptured

For them it’s like when they first started dating, running off from their teams to gush about their latest finds about you

Texting all through the night about schemes to meet you

Whispering on the bus on their way to seasonal competitions

It isn’t long before the nosey teams start poking around

All it takes is a whispered mention of your name and they’re stalking your socials 

Some hire private investigators to tell all they can get their hands on

It’s like a virus how the whole team is eventually letting your distant lovely little life take up all of theirs 

At some point words and posts just aren’t enough

“Yo Cap, why don’t we just get them to come here?”

“Yeah! I know I can get my dad to extend a scholarship and dormitory if something happens at their old school.”

“Hmm, I do still have those lighter fluid canisters.”

“Oooh and I can get them out of the dorms for awhile!”

“Then  we can swoop in and be the knight’s of shining armor they’ll need!”

“C’mon, captain! Let’s bring them home, aren’t you tired of looking at them through the screen?”

“Don’t you think it’d boost our morale for the championship?”

“Yeah!!” Pleaassee!?”

What terrible captains they’d be if they let their teams down now

So the plan is set, you conveniently are stood up on a date when your dorm and campus is burnt down killing so many friends you made+

The mysterious fire destroying their security footage and all your belongings too 

Its natural you start looking for a new college, a safer option

“Hey (Y/n) why don’t you come to our next game? Forget about that horrible fire and cheer us on!”

“Wait how did you know–”

“Grapevine cutie! Now what do you say to a sleepover!?”

“Not after we do our victory party!”

“Oh, you’ll have to try our captain’s famous jello shot! It’s going to knock your clothes+ socks off.”

Both Captains will watch happily as the group swarms you 

Your questions about the slug you made plans with prior were drowned out in their shouting and giggling

Their goal wasn’t to make you worry 

After all, they had the power to dissolve all of that 

The Captains and their teams

“Now that we have them I don’t see any reason, why our teams won’t be planned for an all-around victory in the nationals.”

“Of course, though we could do it without them. Money and pure talent are a given for people like us.”

“Still there’s nothing wrong with sharing a good luck charm.”

“You are absolutely right..”

“Aren’t I always? That being said we’ll have to talk about the…hoarding issue.”

“Oh yeah, I wanted to talk to you about that. The next time one of your cheerleaders interrupts me, they’ll be dealing with more than broken legs.”

“And your players should know the next time they take my time with (Y/n) away they won’t just become paralyzed.”
