soooo sol is an oc from sky children of the light!! idk if youve heard of it and its kinda hard to explain without spoiling too much, but most of her lore is shit i made up so whatever. In sky cotl you play as a child made by god? A god? you're thrown into an vast but empty world, tasked to help the spirits of the people who used to live there to move on. Entering Spoiler territory, solaria is a skykid born at the wrong time. Her need for attention is a bottomless pit and she had to be born after the whole kingdom fucking died!! And to make matters worse she was born during a time with very few skykids so she was very miserable. She lives in the valley of triumph and protects it with tooth and nail, she gets drunk on the screams of glory that still echoes in the snowy racetracks even though their owners are long gone, and when she's at the coliseum for a moment she can pretend she has an audience and that the valley of triumph's elders have finally acknowledged her. That's all she wants. Obviously she wants to be the best at her job (cleaning the mess left by an entire civilization), but deep down she just wants to be told she's doing a good job, that she's not making things worse while thinking she's doing the right thing. Is hard as fuck you know. The kingdom is empty, god just dropped her there with vague instructions. There's a real tangible Threat still around. She's just a little lost... Just a little. Shes also constantly craving adrenaline, both because it's fun af and because she likes the look on lua's face when she barely escapes something dangerous. That's the attention she wanted. She'd never admit that though.

Speaking of lua she's @dollfunerall's skykid and theyre girlfriends ☀️🌒 wives :) lualeil's one of the veery few skykids who actually came BEFORE the catastrophe which wiped off the entire sky kingdom. She's old af. She's a disciple of teth, the elder of the hidden forest, and sol in turn is lua's disciple. Lua drives sol insane i miss my wiiiiife she left for work i miss her so much. But she's also really envious of lua. Lua was around when the kingdom wasn't just ruins, she lived among people, living people, and teth looked at her. Teth acknowledged her. That's everything she wanted!! And she hates herself for it. Because skykids are hope, are light, they're kind and friendly and envy is not something they should feel. She feels even worse because she's ridiculously envious of the life lua lost, since she survived the catastrophe while watching everyone die. Kinda fucked up, she thinks.

So, thinking through who the new protoframes might be (starting with who I think is more likely): I'm guessing first Rusalka (Saryn) because y'know all the reasons people have listed off so far (+leak). Also, the fact we got her hair but not Victor's? I am full of cope. Next is Temple because they're introducing them with the second half of the 1999 update so it'd seem fitting that much like Quincy they'd be a protoframe. It'd also be cool to have a non-binary love interest too. Next is Equinox because if they have one NB they can have another kinda-sorta one. At least, as the kids say "GNC as fuck". But, actually, mainly how often they bring up Sol/Lua and like Equinox is sun/moon themed it'd be fitting!!! Finally, Loki, because he was one of the baby frames but ultimately lost his place to Volt in the end. That's it; that's the only reason.

Date night

The drifter and lettie have been together a while and fallen into routine they both have hectic and unpredictable work lives and appreciate the stability, Friday's are date night, a rather simple affair the drifter cooks, candle light dinner 'precusive maintenence' and cuddles until they fall asleep this night however things do not go according to plan.

Lettie arives back at the backroom flat, expecting to find the drifter cooking something they called 'Ostron yogwun paella' instead finding her lecturing a sullen youth in a futuristic spacesuit sitting on the workshop table "sol damn it I said you could visit your friends in fortuna not take nidus on a rampage across the vallis! And don't give me that 'it was nidus I lost control' shit you decided to take him even after I asked you to stop using him lua I was never this stubborn"

"Mi corazón is this who I think it is. Is everything okay?"

The drifter looks over her shoulder, pale green eyes glowing brighter upon seeing lettie quickly closeing the distance and puling her into a loving embrace. "Ah shit sorry my heart, I completely forgot, been distracted," they say, waving towards the kid

"This isn't how I wanted this to happen, but yes, lettie, the kid, kid, this is my girlfriend lettie"

"I have a name, you know. Void, I thought the clothes were just to fit in, but no, you've gone native" the kid interjects, mouth twisting in distaste.

The drifter crosses the distance between lettie and the kid in the beat of a heart without appearing to move through the intervening space, lettie's breath catches, not believing her love would strike a child but concerned still her rages could be extreme, however the drifter just puts a hand on her shoulder firm but gentle "You. Do. Not. Talk about lettie like that you do not talk to me like that I have not 'gone native' I have found a home and someone to share my life with I love her and you will keep a civil tounge in you head when talking to her do you understand me" her voice cold.

"Yes. mother." The kid sniped back pointedly, the meaning clear to both, the drifter and lettie the drifter dropping into a nearby chair, like a marionette with its strings cut

"I.. I'm not.. I wouldn't.. I didn't... lua, there's a room for you, under the stairs, hidden door"

"We didn't know I'd be coming here until umbra found you in cetus... how do I have a room already?"

Lettie crosses the room to put an arm around the drifter who absentmindedly returns the embrace.

"Because Tris, they've been planning on inviting you here all year, yes I know your name, i know alot about you, she talks about you all the time and I can tell I don't need to explain to you why that comment was out of line, go freshen up, the grown ups need to talk, we will call you when dinners ready."

The kid hesitates for a moment as if about to say something before vanishing, reappearing at the side of the stairs hesitating a moment longer before disappearing into the bedrooms.

"She's gone corazón, are you able to tell me what happened now"

"She... She had another episode vanished from fortuna, the debt prison colony, I told you about it, right?"

"Sí, she spends time with the ventkids or something right"

"Yeah, well, apparently one of the kids got grabbed by a corpus patrol, kids fine she got him out, don't worry, but she didn't come back in, for two days, nobody could contact me here, if I hadn't needed to visit cetus... if umbra hadn't found me... lua, I'm gonna have nightmares, I found her in some cave on the vallis, dripping, I mean literally *dripping* blood and oil, you should have seen it, the corpses piled to the ceiling in the back, infested mass already growing over it, I think nidus had her building a hive or something I don't know"

The drifter buries her face against lettie's neck, tears streaming down her face, letting out a breath

"Fuck! I just... I don't know what to do, she deserves a normal childhood, but she just. won't. listen. She doesn't nee-"

"Mi corazón, you do realise getting a lecture from a parent after doing something stupid is a normal childhood experience. look, you're doing better than you think, I've seen a few new sides of you tonight, I like them, with you in her corner, she'll be okay, I promise, now I was promised dinner and we have a kid to feed so get to it and I'll reward you later."

"Heh, okay, okay, I'm going. You really think i can do this?"

"Of course we can, and I'm sure the rest of the hex would be happy to help too. Now hurry up, I'm starving."

And so date night became family dinner the first of many the drifter and the kid apologise to each other, lettie introduces the kid to her rats, who loves them eventually falling asleep on the couch with them piled in her lap, the drifter tucks her in with a kiss on the forehead, only for her to stir and still asleep murmer "thanks mum, love you" the drifter tearing up slightly just responding "Love you too sweet dreams"

Summary : After the holidays Sirius is worried about his best friend, but also about Sunny, which doesn't talk to Moony anymore. So he confronts Remus about what happened and is shocked about what he hears.

Sirius pov

I was friends with remus since we went to first year. And yet I only got to know him through James.

Moony was always friends with little Sunny before we were a group and that's how we met them too. I love them both.

They are my family.

But they are so terribly stupid.

Sunny has always taken care of Moony. I used to think that was because they knew each other for so long and they wanted to help him because they were friends.

It wasn't until much later that I saw the tender look in their eyes when they visited him in the hospital wing. I don't blame Moony for not noticing. I mean, even I didn't see it until much too late.

But I do blame him for never talking to them about his feelings. He always loved sunny.

Why didn't he say anything?

I have been asking myself this question for years and only a few days ago I found the answer. When we were in the café.

He is afraid, not them. He's afraid that they don't love him the way he loves them. And that's so idiotic, because they really have always loved him. But he kind of blew it. Because in the meantime, I'm not sure if they still love him....

When we stood on the platform in the station, the train was not yet visible. This year I came here with James.

Because I was now a Potter.

I was so glad to be out of this house that I didn't realize until later how terrible Moony felt. He had withdrawn more and more since sunny gave him the cold shoulder.

And honestly? I couldn't blame him. But what I did hold against him was that he didn't tell us anything.

What had happened to Sunny?

It didn't happen overnight, especially with the love friendship they had. I was confused and angry.

Because they were both acting so stupid. And don't get me wrong, that whole thing is their business. I just don't want to see them so exhausted and hurt.

In the end, all of this was preventable if they would just be honest with each other.

When Remus met us, he looked terrible. He had huge bags under his eyes and looked like he was going to fall over at any moment.

"Hey." was all he needed to get out.

"You look terrible," I said a little too honestly.

At that, he looked at me irritably.

"Thanks, pads, that's what I really wanted to hear. I didn't even know that!"

James sighed and looked at him with a furrowed brow.

"Remus you should talk to them sometime. This can't go on."

Remus shook his head expressionlessly.

"They're avoiding me like I'm the worst person in the world. Believe me they don't want to talk to me, I learned that this summer."

He laughed bitterly.

"Moony what happened? Why are they avoiding you like this?" I finally voiced the thoughts that were solidifying in my mind.

He hesitated before answering. Then he looked away into the crowd and finally answered.

"I fucked up. So really."

At that, James laughed.

"We already knew that. The question is how?"

"I was stupid and insecure. I let it guide me-" but then he stopped. It looked like he saw something specific in the crowd. Or someone in particular.

"What's wrong?" I asked, following his gaze.

But then I saw a certain sun, which was staring ahead, as if they were trying to block out our moon.

How could someone have such a crush on someone else? No, it was more than crushes, I had learned that this summer.

"Talk to them. It's now or never. They can't run away here. If you want an explanation, you have to confront them, too." I advised him.

"Okay." he just said and walked towards them with heavy steps.

The chaos that followed I don't think I need to explain….

"YOU. HAVE. WHAT." I said stunned as he walked into our cabin.

He winced and sat down dejectedly at the window.

"i don't know what was wrong with me…. I suddenly had this urge to have them as close as possible and then I kissed them on the forehead - it just kind of happened!" he said quickly and without stopping.

I was just about to continue scolding him, when James spoke.

"What happened, moony? Explain it to us, please. "

And so he steered our conversation in that previous direction.

I have never been so upset about Moony in my life. Otherwise, it's always the other way around.

"So let me sum this up…. You always told them that you didn't know how you felt when they told you that they loved you, but then you treated them like everything was the same and now because they don't talk to you anymore you kissed them in front of everybody. Remus that's fucked up."

He said nothing and just looked out the window. He didn't even defend himself and my anger decreased.

I fucking felt sorry for him. I didn't know what he was supposed to do either.

James shook his head.

"Moony, you know you love them. You proved it again a few minutes ago. Then why don't you tell them?"

Suddenly I remembered Sunny's violent reaction to my insinuation that Remus loved them. Oh man he had really fucked up.

But when I saw remus' eyes in the reflection, I saw his tears. Remus was crying. Remus-I-never-show-anyone-what's-going-on-with-me-Lupin was crying.

I didn't say anything more, instead I just put a hand on his shoulder to calm him down.

James and I exchanged worried glances. I knew we were thinking the same thing.

What the hell is going to have to happen to bring the two of them back together?

And the moon cried bitter and burning tears of love and sorrow at the same time as the sun, while the star just watched helplessly.

I feel like these two are just Saturday-morning cartoon levels of stupid when with each other in my lore. Like, I feel like that makes sense? Edutainment-type-stuff with this one magician who's always just energetic and upbeat but gets frustrated easily, and another who's just quiet and calm while being a coward. Plus the Quips. Somebody has to be the one doing the in-universe learning if it's not Schmitt and MM's dumbasses. 80% of the time.

But to me, they'd get on. It's basically a bit of a "good to see you're okay, don't die out there" dynamic. They could care MORE for each other, but they're still close when they hang out.

I mean sure, my lore for them is that MM thought Schmitto was dead for the past few years (after hearing rumours of the TMP2 incident), until the guy just waltzed in one day like "ohh shit, you actually made a show!"

And mostly because MM saw him as a huge inspiration for his confidence and love for theatrics back in the day, MM just thought he had gone crazy before being talked down from that spiral

So the two just caught up and agreed to stay in touch from there, thus creating their "energetic + frustrated showman" and "enigmatic + somewhat cowardly" showman. they probably hang out on weekends or something

Remembered my conversation with my family on fish names (we have many types of conversations) specifically that Mola mola is Peixe-Lua (Moonfish) in portuguese but the english language decided to call it Sunfish but the Opah (Lampris megalopsis), also called Moonfish in English, is called Peixe-sol (Sunfish) Real do Pacifico in Portuguese and wonder How the Fuck this happened.
