My somewhat final thoughts of My Hero Academia

Note: Now that MHA is now doing an epilogue and is ending soon, I might as well give my final thoughts about this series. I’ll probably continue to talk more about it after the series is officially over but I’m not going to do a full fledged hour long review because I have better things to do.

This is a generic shonen empowerment fantasy that managed to screw its own theme and message. Any good will I would’ve given to series at the beginning is completely irrelevant as it when on. The morals and themes are constantly changing to throw random s**t on a sheet of paper that either doesn’t make sense, contradicts what being shown on screen, or if it doesn’t fits the tone of the story. My hero is not a deconstruction of the shonen genre that does anything new that would make it stand out. Most of the ideas and plot points created either have horrible execution, given no amount of attention where they’re just ignored or just have horrible payoffs. It follows all the exact same tropes seen in every other series and makes them worse. It also gets to the point where it rips off Naruto and makes the same mistakes it did. The amount of plot twists that are excused as some kind of subversion are obnoxious and predictable where’s it gets incredibly annoying. The world building is horrendous and just makes the story feel small for a world that has a life changing impact. The power scale doesn’t always make sense and it does nothing but act as a way to reward characters that didn’t earn it.

It has a dangerous and horrible message for victims of abuse and bullying. My hero has no problem telling the audience that if you’re a victim of any kind of abuse, it’s your problem and you should just act like it’s not a big issue. Apparently it’s ok lie to your friends, family and colleagues that you can trust but it’s not ok to lie or even hold accountable to your abuser. And no matter if he/she has a reason for the way they are, you are always in the wrong and you should spend your sad life praising and benefiting them.

There exists way too many characters for the audience to be invested in and after watching them for several arcs, they are just stereotypes with nothing new or original about them. Many of them come across as either being stupid, annoying, useless, unlikeable, petty, ignorant or just both. Some characters will either exist to benefit others or just highjack the story, ruining every other character’s chance to get any sort spotlight. The series is way too reliant on putting focus on unpleasant and uninteresting characters to please its large audience. The humor is way too reliant on a character’s personality trait. No matter what they do, the story expects us to automatically like them regardless of how horrible and selfish their actions are. Izuku may not be the worst character, but he’s no where near as great as everyone hypes him up to be. Bakugo is an unbearable mess of a character that serves no real purpose in the story and exists to take away every characters chance of development. His development is one of the laziest and obnoxious parts I have ever seen in any story and yet he’s the most popular sadist in the show with no sort of reason or sympathy for me to like him. Any criticism given to this d**khead is automatically shot down and people like me get harassed and called a brain dead immature f*g for stating our opinion.

Aside from Twice and Gentle/ La Brava, these villains are not that interesting and what ever traits about them gave them something to do is absence. Shigaraki is the stories biggest wasted potential that went from being an idiot to being an incompetent idiot to benefit my left nutsack. Toga is a Mary Stu who went from being a sad and annoying character to an annoying and self centered bitch who complains after being told her actions are wrong. Dabi is just a Gary Stu who’s only interested in wanting to kill his dad. Spinner is a joke that is constantly scammed by his creator.

The only saving grace I can give to this series is the art style of the manga and some parts of the Todoroki family drama. I can even say that Horikoshi’s art style and how he designs characters and panel designs inspired me as an artist. The anime as a whole is fine but it’s not perfect, but that’s mostly because it doesn’t do a whole lot of creatively/artistic things to make it on par with the most popular anime series. As an artist, I would recommend my hero as a reference to use to improve your work. If you just want to read or watch a series that has fights that just make you feel some kind of emotion, then you might get something out of this series. It’s not even the absolute worst thing I’ve seen; I’ve seen much worse in other genres other than shonen manga. It’s just rare to find a badly written series without being surrounded by d**kriders. It’s just a disaster of a series, and I wished I spent my time during the pandemic watching another series like Demon Slayer, or Black Clover.

Villain stan, I was already expecting an ending like Naruto's anime. Complete trash just for people that experience the story through fanon more than canon. Still, I feel robbed.

This is an anime about SUPERHEROES! What was the idea of finishing with the complete LoV dead or in jail? It would have costed nothing to put Toga, Spinner and Mr. Compress running amok, ready to avenge Twice, Magne, Shigaraki and Dabi. Marvel and DC never had a problem with having villains running free and getting ready for a next battle. An open ending that re-starts the circle as the hores need their villains.

Because Toga's death was bs, not only for being avoidable, but because the fans basically took the moment Ochake opened up about her grief towards Toga to make a DekuChako moment (Neji's death all over again >:v, the only difference is that this time it wasn't the Mangaka's intention to move a ship, but the fans decided to spit in Toga's death none the less).

And honestly, while every villain stan was "Dabi will live" I was "Gods, I hope he dies, because enything else will be a trash ending" and I WAS RIGHT! AT LEAST GIVE HIM THAT LAST SATISFACTION!

Also, Spinner just staying in jail like WHAT? Spinner was the villain who most respected and was the most loyal to Shigaraki, don't make him just write a book, MAKE HIM LEAD THE NEXT LEAGUE OF VILLAINS!

And of course, Endeavor and Hawks have no consecuences for their actions, everything just forgiven, even by the victims. Honestly, I was always in the posture of LoV as family >>>> Todofam, so I wasn't expecting Dabi's end to be more than a "We did it, we stopped Dabi. Now we are free of the past and move on, even if Dabi honestly can't" and this is one of the few times I hate to be right.

You're so right about Toga's death immediately being used for different characters having a moment instead of, you know, focusing on her. I'm not sure if this manga could pass the Bechdel test.

That really is why the ending is so bad - the villains seem to not have left as much of a mark as they should've, the fact that the hero ranking system continues being in place is proof of that. You would think that society at the very least realized that treating heroes like celebrities was problematic, and yet nothing about that part of the system changed.

To be honest, I'm surprised they even let Spinner write and publish his book rather than seeing this as some kind of propaganda or safety risk. Remember how early on in the story when those Stain videos came out? It's surprising then that they let Spinner do this.

An ending that suggests the cycle starts again would've been interesting, but remember, Hori went for a "happy" ending

Hori was clearly in over his head writing a story that he ultimately was incapable of writing. The story had so much potential, yet here we are with a story that eventually decided to have nothing change.

I think the Todofam would be great, but I've always been of the opinion that it could never work with Endvr around, which is clear when you look at the Todofam finale where they are all supposedly eager to talk to Touya, only for none of them to say anything beyond that except for Endvr, who also ultimately says nothing other than how much of a victim he is. Boohoo.

You don't get to kill people and then expect everyone to feel bad about you because of your crybaby sob story or because life was unfair to you.

But we are constantly seeing said villains killing or trying to kill people. How many thousands does Tomura have to kill before Izuku accepts that he needs to die? How many people does Toga have to stab before Ochako accepts that she's too far gone to be saved?

I hope uraraka dies too. No ships for no one

I also despise this idea that these horrible people are somehow entitled to infinite patience and forgiveness no matter how many people they kill or try to kill. But that's what's happening in MHA and even after this latest chapter, I don't expect it to change.

My good sir, if you're not expecting a shounen WSJ manga to have redemption for villains, you're reading the wrong manga. If I had to stomach Naruto fucking Uzumaki talk about how Obito was a cool guy when the guy just decided to kill his entire ethnic group and his own sensei for ...nothing, you can fucking watch the villains like Toga, Dabi, and Tomura (and Spinner and Kurogiri) get saved. Seriously, why are you reading this manga? I avoid shit that upsets me beyond no other redemptive qualities, why don't you? At this point the final idea of BNHA is that these kids are able to save the people who no one else could save. Like why read a manga where the fundamental narrative concept is something you disagree with and dislike? Why not read something you like?

my hero aca ramble ( 17 / 10 /20 )

the last year of my hero has been a very weird roller-coaster of things that bore me to death and things that grip me so intensely, like we just got a all might vs. all for one focus for what? 5 chapters?? and it was awful for me, the schtick of all might using the kids quirks was underwhelmingly executed and the melodrama between these two has NEVER interested me even back in the early days.

in general this seems like a weird conflict of interest that i have in general, most of the time the 'older generations' plotlines in anything disinterest me the most, so it's natural its happened here. but i dont know, it seems like this entire fight was just a blander rehash of all of what came before, made worse since, unlike in kamino ward, OTHER THINGS ARE HAPPENING

the am vs afo focus happens AFTER uraraka vs. toga which is a series highlight. and even other sequences in this war that lacked a series long build up was done in striking and moving ways; like jirou fighting all for one, or the big three fighting shigaraki, even shoji's shit which has gotten the shortest end of all the sticks made me feel something.

and then there's the things we've skipped or just aren't acknowledging; no updates on spinner at this point is insulting, and aoyama's fight being skipped pisses me off to all end, especially since it ended the way it did with such grotesque fanservice. i don't want to say that this fight shouldn't've happened since, i know hori has been developing all might for ages for the sake of this very fight... but man, that's all i want to say lol

at least it feels like this fight has finally culminated meaningfully and is interacted with other plotlines, so i'm gonna remain hopeful that it will turn around, and not feel like a waste of my precious, precious time.

speaking off, izuku vs. shigaraki, man i'm excited for this, shigaraki is still my favourite character and i've been waiting for these two for ages. bakugo coming back is a godsend i want that boy doing cool shit to make up for not doing anything in the series at all not saying characters need to be plot important to exist but i find it funny that dudebros will rag on sakura for being useless in her story but stan bakugo who literally doesnt do anything but go to school gets kidnapped and lose to shigaraki twice

speaking of izuku and bakugo, it'll be weird if they aren't the endgame ship right?? like in all seriousness i don't think it will happen i'm not insane but at this point, it feels worse than naruto and sasuke... like the story will just be better if izuku doesn't end up with anybody or he ends up with bakugo and i am actually being so serious i'm not joking

i not saying uraraka is bad, i love her, but even for her, not ending up with izuku seems like it would only strengthen her arc, by making for a more unique character that innovatively contributes to this story's themes of romanticization and admiration.

and more than anything else, this entire battle has just made me want to have the characters sit down and talk after the fallout, dabi, toga (SHE BETTER NOT BE DEAD HORIKOSHI YOU BITCH), spinner, and shiggy all deserve a happily ever after and i am very serious in saying everything here could be set up for a more elaborate second story

I will preface by saying that hate is a strong word for what I feel abt these characters and would prefer to describe it as "apathy" no I'm not saying this as a desperate measure to prevent myself from being stoned to death why would you say that

........ momo, tsuyu and kirishima...

You have to understand that I joined the fandom in 2017 and people were so fucking annoying abt these three. It was impossible to go into the tags back then and not run into posts like "You're a bad person if you dislike Tsuyu/Momo" or "It's possible to dislike Kirishima/Tsuyu" blablabla. And I'm the kind of person that if you try to shove something down my throat I will spit it back in your face just to prove a point.

I understand fans wanting to hype up their favs but I found Tsuyu and (especially) Momo to be extremely underwhelming so that behavior just turned me off. & Kirishima is bc the kiribaku fandom were a fucking menace back in the day.

Despite my feelings for them, they're all good characters that deserved better opportunities to shine (rip all the ex-naruto/class 1A fans that wanted to see the konoha 13 done right)

I never understood the trend in dabihawks fics to write Hawks as the functional sane perfect emotional support bf. He is an emotionally constipated indoctrinated murder chicken with serious mommy & daddy issues, how tf does that translate to perfect bf?

*widely gesticulates at Miruko's entire character* Miruko is the perfect example of widespread fanon characterization being absolute garbage. I get the knee jerk reaction of wanting to save her from Horikoshi's questionable writing, but in the process the fandom sand down all her rough ("problematic") edges & just leave her an empty soulless sock-puppet wearing Miruko's skin. Canon Miruko doesn't have much going for her but somehow Fanon Miruko manages to be even more shallow. #sorrynotsorry

I'm gonna get flack for this but I don't like the way fandom tends to portray found family. It feels inauthentic to me, especially when dealing with dysfunctional self-destructive and emotionally constipated individuals like the LOV. Found Fam LOV used to be my jam but I've grown tired of it 😔

And speaking of the LOV.... I love Spinaraki but I don't like the way most of the fandom interprets and depicts their relationship. Spinner's fanatic devotion to Shigaraki isn't healthy. Idk if I've talked abt it on this blog before but I see a lot of parallels between Killugon (hxh) and Spinaraki.

(Incoming spoilers for hxh chimera ant arc) In both cases you have person A (Gon/Shigaraki) going down a self destructive path, fueled by self loathing and person B (Killua/Spinner) that is extremely devoted to person A but bc of their lack of self worth is unequipped to truly help them and in the process unintentionally enables them.

I'm all for witnessing unhealthy devotion in fiction, I eat that shit up. But it does make me uncomfortable when I see people interpreting it in a purely positive light.

We know next to nothing against the Sandaime Kazekage and yet he’s one of the coolest kage to exist. Like, as a person, not as puppet for whom Sasori may or may not have held an unhealthy fondness. I mean:

- aesthetically pleasing design

- considered the strongest Kazekage ever by his own people

- either they loved him so much or had so high an opinion of his strength that they didn’t believe he was dead for years and kept searching the desert for him

- they reluctantly elected a Yondaime Kazekage (Rasa) but still kept searching for their Sandaime

- he reverse-engineered Magnet Release by watching the One-Tails and created his own Iron Sand technique, the most feared weapon in Suna’s history

- was his Magnet Release a kekkai genkai or did he teach himself how to use it by combining wind and earth chakra natures without the benefit of a bloodline? I want to believe the latter since he reverse-engineered the technique, and that makes his accomplishment all the more impressive

- he could render puppets unusable by clogging their joints with sand and could bypass chakra shields with his Iron Sand

- he could turn other people’s weapons against them with his Magnet Release and form makeshift weapons of his own out of his Iron Sand

- when revived by Orochimaru with Edo Tensei in the anime, he is unimpressed with what Sasori did with his body (turning it into a puppet) and equally unimpressed with Edo Tensei

- he declares, “I am the Sandaime Kazekage. I am not your pawn,” and proceeds to actually break free from Orochimaru’s control and release himself from the Edo Tensei, leaving Orochimaru to face Sasori and Deidara’s attacks alone

- so savage

- he’s like ‘you raised me from the dead to defend you? think again. I’m not fighting for you even if it is against my own murderer’

- won’t even engage in a zombie grudge match because he’s so disgusted by Orochimaru

- just nopes out of there like breaking Edo Tensei is nbd

- leaves Orochimaru to get slammed by several tons of iron sand and dozens of exploding clay birds

Have you seen the naruto cosplay parodies by oxr studios? I think they are funny. If you have time you should look up the YouTube channel . Ive seen some people think they are cringey but i think they are pretty funny. I guess people think they are " cringey " because some of the jokes are about dabbing and fidget spinners but if old memes don't bother you then you should watch the videos.

Konoha 11 PART ONE

What happens when the bottle lands on one of the boys/girls? Better yet, what happens when a little jealousy turns an innocent game into something rather steamy 👀if you know what I mean

The night is still young, the air is cool and the town is still lively even past this hour. Laughs and giggles filled the air as everyone stumbled out of the bar, everyone feeling a little loser and ready for more fun.

“What now!”, Kiba yells, trying to get the groups attention. “Time for some good sleep”, Sakura huffs, just about ready to call it a night. “Ahhh, Sakura-chan!”, Naruto’s big mouth opens, “don’t be a drag! Let’s have some fun” he says. “Alright then, what’s your idea of fun?”, Sakura asks, totally uninterested in whatever the answer would be. Hinata shyly stood beside her, eager to hear what Naruto would suggest. She was honestly feeling a little tired, trying to stifle a yawn so as to not spoil the mood. She did however, wanna join in whatever fun everyone wanted to have now. She was okay with anything involving spending more time with Naruto. She loved him seeing him even more carefree than he usually was.

“The Plaza hotel’s rooftop must still be opened”, Shikamaru casually commented, gaining the groups attention as they all stood under the streetlight, trying to come up with something. Shikamaru usually had some good suggestions. “Okay so? How are we even gonna get it?”, Naruto asked, wondering if Shikamaru was just drunk talking. “I might know a few people”, Ino spoke up, everyone looking at her with eager eyes.

“But what are we going to do there? Just get more drunk?”, Naruto asked, ready for whatever. Sakura was quite stunned that Naruto actually knew how to have a good time. He was in the bar ordering drinks for everyone like he was the bartender himself. But it’s to be expected of Jiraiya’s disciple. “Baka”, Sasuke spoke, Naruto didn’t like that his best friend was still in character even after all those drinks. “There’s a ton of stuff to do at the Plaza hotel”, he added, “casinos and strippers”. Naruto liked that idea. “What are we still waiting for?”, Kiba spoke, ready to see naked women shake ass right in front of him.

“Spin the bottle”, were the next words everyone heard, the group quieting down as everyone took in Hinatas suggestion. The alcohol must’ve definitely loosened her up if it meant she, out of everyone in the group would suggest that. “Yes! That’s what I’m talking about Hina-chan, let’s do it!”, Ino rejoiced, she was drunk. Everyone was. No one possessing the sober mind to say no.

In no time everyone was on the rooftop of the main plaza hotel. A few bottles of some really delicious sake already heating up their belly’s. They all sat on a leather, cream white couch that made a circle around a table with a fire pit right in the middle. The ladies sat distributed around the couch for obvious reasons. The boys lowkey excited for the game to begin. Sasuke couldn’t help but look straight at Sakura, making her blush as Ino began setting up a few ground rules.

“First of all, no one backs out. If you back out you’re out the game”, she said, looking around to make sure everyone was with it. Naruto didn’t like the idea of kissing another one of the boys, but that’s a price he was more than willing to pay if it meant scoring a kiss with every single girl sitting here.

“Second rule, boys kiss boys and girls kiss girls. If you’re not with that you can’t play. Third rule, the spinner of the bottle gets to decide what the victims should do based on this box filled with little pieces of paper that everyone anonymously wrote dares on. And the final rule is that everyone should have fun! And what happens on the rooftop stays on the rooftop! Let the games begin everyone”, Ino cheered.

“I’ll go first”, Sasuke spoke, everyone looking at him in surprise. He lifted up an empty bottle of sake, spinning it very fast before heading back to his seat on the couch. Everyone’s hearts stopped, anticipating who it would land on. The bottle began to slow down and then fate had been determined. Everyone began cheering and laughing when the first two players had to stand up. “Naruto and Sasuke!”, Ino screeched. Ready to see some action, she reached for the box to pull out a dare.

Sasuke glared at Naruto. “Why did you have to sit there idiot”, Sasuke complained. “Because you’re sitting next to Ino, dumbass”, Naruto responded. “Tch whatever, let’s just get this over and done with”, Sasuke said, waiting to hear what the dare would be.

“Oooooo”, Ino giggled, Kiba who sat beside her leaning over to see what was on the paper. “Just spit it out!”, Naruto blurted, his cheeks heating up at the thought of possibly kissing his best friend. “Okay okay. Tongue kiss each other for a solid two minutes”, Ino read, everyone in the group cooing at the two.

Naruto didn’t know what to do, Sasuke taking a step closer as everyone cheered them on. His palms got sweaty, nervously fiddling with the zipper of his jacket as Sasuke neared him even more. “Are you too scared to kiss me idiot?”, Sasuke teased, a small smirk on his face one only Naruto could’ve caught. Naruto almost growled, not wanting look like he was bothered even in the slightest. Sasuke knew just how to rile him up. One hand buried itself into Sasukes hair, tugging him forward to press his lips against Naruto’s. The kiss was not how Naruto had imagined it to be. He would never admit that he had these thoughts, but he was certainly not expecting his friend to be this submissive, simply going with the flow, parting his lips when Naruto’s tongue ran along his lip. Naruto tried to stifle a grunt when Sasuke gently sucked on his tongue, his hand reaching up to tug at Naruto’s arm. Just when Sasuke felt it was his turn to to explore his best friends mouth, the timer went off. Everyone was quiet. “What?”, Sasuke asked, licking his slightly swollen lips.

“I don’t know, I guess we were expecting a kiss and not full fledged porn”, Kiba spoke, a little turned on from what he had just witnessed. “Okay, that was steamy!”, Ino added, chuckling to cool off. Everyone had to admit that the atmosphere has suddenly grown a little warmer. “I’ll go next”, she quickly added, trying to get everyone back on track. This was just supposed to be a fun game. Picking up the bottle, she tried not to make eye contact with anyone, setting it on its side before spinning. The bottle stopped, and she was pleasantly surprised to see it had landed on Shino. Shino? She thought. She had even forgot that he came along. He was just too quiet.

There were numerous times where Ino might’ve given Shino a second glance. Especially after the war…there was just something very different about him. Something that called to her lady parts. Without further ado, Shino stood up, his hands still in the pockets of his long coat as he neared her. Standing at 182cm tall, he towered over here, making her instantly freeze where she stood, too nervous to look up at his shades. “So…what are supposed to do?”, Shino asked, unashamedly taking her in. “Two hickies in one minute”, Shikamaru read aloud, catching Shino’s attention, Ino still paralyzed by his dominating stature. Looking back over at her, he raised an eyebrow. “Are you ready then?”, he asked, much too confident than Ino expected. “Y-yes”, Ino spoke, regretting how needy she sounded right then. Shikamaru was quite amused to see his long time friend nervous for the first time in his life.

Shino took another step closer, placing one large hand on the small of her back to pull her much closer than she would’ve normally been okay with. Her breathe caught at their proximity, still in shock over Shino’s assertiveness. She wore her hair down today, making her bright eyes stand out even more. Shino gently tugged at her hair, rubbing the small of her when he felt her body tense. He angled her head so that he could get better access to her neck. His rich, earthy scent filled her nose, further intoxicating her before his tongue darted out to lick a slow, long strip from the base of her neck up to her ear, sending serious shivers down her spine, forcing her to bite her lip to muffle any sounds she wanted to make. She couldn’t believe how drunk she was over such minimal effort. She felt so embarrassed.

“Shino”, she squealed, embarrassed to feel so hot already. Ignoring her, he started licking at the nape of her neck, tugging her head back when he tried to shy away from the wonderful sensation. Taking time into consideration, he bit down. Not too hard that he would leave a mark, after all this was just a game, but hard enough that he would leave a bruise. He wasn’t too sure if it was the alcohol stimulating his wildly increasing desire to mark her or if he had unknown feelings for her, either way, he wanted more. Her skin was smooth and silky as he began nibbling and biting, licking and sucking to soothe the pain he was causing her. Ino on the other end was a hot mess, unable to contain a moan or two, biting her lip really hard planting in Shino’s ear as greedily tasted her skin. “Yeah okay wrap it up Shino”, Shikamaru impatiently spoke, he didn’t know why, but he didn’t like that it was Shino making her pants like that. The faces she made as Shino sucked and at nipped her smooth skin made him feel rather jealous? These newfound feelings were certainly a shock to him. Shino was having a hard time getting himself together, unable to stop himself from having one more lick, lost in the sweet sounds Ino made in his ear, her body slightly against his. He was far too immersed in the act of making her. Ino could feel a light buzz everywhere Shino was connected to her, heightening the sensations she felt. That’s when she just had to moan. At this point, everyone could tell that Ino was having a good time. Shikamaru wanted to lose it, standing up grabbing Shino by the hoodie of his coat. “Times up baka”, he growled, yanking him off of his close friend and teammate.

One look at Shikamaru and Shino could tell how upset Shika really was. Shika practically wore the look of an angry, married man. “Whoa, calm down Shika”, Naruto interfered, sensing the possessive energy around the two men. “Shikamaru, we’re playing a game you suggested”, he reminded his friend, a hand out to stop Shikamaru from trying anything. “You think you could make her feel any better?”, Shino calmly questioned, igniting a flame in Shikamaru that seemed to burn right through him. “Far better than you”, Shika responded. “Then stop taking and show us”, Sasuke said, purposely throwing fuel to the fire burning before him. Everyone glanced over at Sasuke, before they all slowly turned to Ino, her cheeks deep red from being just being handled by Shino as well as Shika fighting over this like she was his.

“I like the sounds of that”, Shikamaru spoke, discussing his attention in Ino, who was mortified by the idea of two men she found incredibly attractive about to play a little game with her.

“What? Wait are we serious?”, Kiba asked, looking around at every one, stunned to see they all would not say no to that kind of entertainment. Naruto backed up, raising his hands in defense. “Looks like we have a new game set up then?”, Naruto said. “What do you think Ino? Are you willing to take one for the team and entertain us all?”, he continued, Ino feeling the pressure of everyone’s stares. The idea of having them both try and make her moan the loudest excited her so much she genuinely felt ashamed to admit to wanting it. “Yeah sure…”, she answered, looking every but at Shikamaru and Shino.

“Okay. So we’re only taking this as far as Ino wants it to go. Do you best gentlemen” Sasuke teased, standing up to go and sit right next to Sakura, casually throwing his arm over her and pulling her closer to him. Sakura nearly fainted, a blushy mess under Sasukes arm, trying to hide her red cheeks in his chest.

Naruto was just about to take his place next to Hinata when he saw Kiba quickly wrap his arm around her and growl, showing his teeth. Naruto growled right back before taking his ass back to his seat. “Maybe the next round will be you and Kiba over Hinata”, Sasuke teased, Hinata’s entire face and neck going from a light pink to deep red. “Or maybe it could be you trying to turn Sakura on a little if you can at all”, Naruto retorted, earning a Tch from Sasuke.

Hey there, I want to ask something. When Tenko gets saved, what's going to happen with him? Will he join his family members? Will he get adopted or something? I am legit scared of him dying.

The same applies for Tomura. Will he die? Now that he is almost merged with AFO when he completes the merging does that mean that Tomura is dead? If by some way he survives, what will happen to him?

Sorry this may be confusing but I am really worried about Tenko/Tomura.

I don't think he's going to die.

I love Tomura, but he's just a part of his real being. Tomura is the name AFO gave him, it's the guy under AFO's control.

Tenko is not only the child he was. He is the combination of everyone Tomura has been, but in the present. Tenko is what you get when you get Tomura from AFO and you give him his own space.

Of course, it depends on Tomura if he wants to be called Tenko (the Shimura name) or Tomura (the AFO name).

Tomura/Tenko is not going to die. I think we're probably get an open ending, with the idea of the saved villains working to find their place withing society, a better society btw.

I think it's safe to say All Might and Deku will worry about Tomura/Tenko and try and help him adapt. All Might feels responsible for what happened to him, for all the thing with Nana. And Deku becomes really close to everyone he saves. And from what we saw in the manga, Tomura/Tenko is actually pretty amazing when it comes to making friends, because he's very sincere and open to the world.

There's a possibility of Tomura/Tenko ending without a quirk, and being no longer a treaty to society. Or he can keep his quirk now that he perfectly controls it. Either way, he would probably keep many scars from his time mixed with AFO and there will be a improvement implied.

I personally think Horikoshi will show us a more heroic side of Tomura/Tenko. The whole narrative of his childhood is still there, of Tenko/Tomura being hero coded or having hero traits. Also, if Kurogiri doesn't die, Tomura/Tenko would still have a paternal figure. And don't forget there are many others villains who will also get a second chance. Tomura/Tenko will probably keep being close to the members of the League. Remember he is their friend.

I think we'll be able to see even if a little the siblings relationship between Deku and Tomura, as a counterpart of the whole OFA and AFO battle. I personally really want to see Aizawa softening a little with Tomura, but that's asking for too much.

Have you seen the ending Sasuke got in Naruto? It basically was Sasuke starting to work to pay for his mistakes. Something like that could happen with Tomura/Tenko, with him starting to help rebuild the bnha society in a better way, as a way of making up for all he did. He has many traumas, many issues, has lost a lot, so even if Deku saves him with his talk, Horikoshi will show us how much Tomura/Tenko will need to work to find himself and his place in the world.

Besides, Tomura/Tenko is one of Horikoshi's favorite. He writes so carefully his arc, of course he's not going to throw it to the trashcan. Even with the whole Star and Stripe current arc it's amazing the level of detail Horikoshi puts in Tomura/Tenko and the situation with AFO.

I also think Deku will try to give a second chance to villains. We saw a snippet of it with Lady Nagant and Overhaul: There are two options: bad people who still insist on doing bad stuff (they deserve to go back to jail) and villains that want to do work for a better future, villains like Gentle Criminal and La Brava, of Mr. Compress and Spinner, who will get to help in other ways. And Tomura/Tenko is the biggest example of it. A person doesn't have to be "evil" forever.

I think people won't forget easily what Tomura/Tenko did, but Deku is going to show (somehow) to everyone that Tomura/Tenko deserves the help. If Tomura/Tenko fights against AFO too, that's extra points.

I hope you find this somehow a good answer, but please remember I'm just one human being speculating and wishing stuff. There's a possibility I'm wrong, but... Well, yeah, this is my opinion. Hope you like it!

Part of me wanted to do a Year In Review post, like I’ve seen a few other creators do, but instead of talking about myself (which I do for the entire rest of the year anyway lmao), I’m gonna do a reclist instead, of the best fics I’ve read this year. A lot of it is BNHA, because that’s been my main fandom for 2020, but I did spend a decent amount of time in other spaces. Complete – A quick disclaimer, pia is a mutual and a friend. That being said, this is such a cute little snapshot into the LOV with everyone’s favorite Found Family trope. Now, I’ll admit to being additionally biased because pia gave me that sweet sweet Dadpress food, but her Spinner is also on point. Short and sweet.

the Issue of the Jeanist Corpse (the Jorpse) by Princeliest (Hawks & Jeanist Gen)

Complete – Witty and hilarious, a deleted scene when Hawks went to visit Best Jeanist before War Arc. I love how antsy Hawks is, and how fussy Jeanist. Also, I’m a sucker for putting a j at the beginning of everything for Jeaninst.

Queer Eye: We're In Japan! And There Are Pro Heroes Everywhere!! by night_of_the_living_trashcan (Background Erasermic Family)

Complete – I love a good Queer Eye fic, and this one is so spot on. The Fab Five couldn’t get a better candidate than Aizawa (well, almost; see below). And I’m a sucker for Erasermic family.

 **Yesterday's Gods by Karzai (All Might/Reader)

WIP - Reader character is an ex-military doctor who comes to work at UA. If you’re a fan of very well-developed backstories, and reader characters that are their own people, then this is the fic for you. This fic gives me huge Newsroom vibes - we’ve got a past romance, and the tension after years apart. We get present day when they are older and more jaded, and we get the backstory of the reader character and All Might when they were young and spry.

**surrender (whenever you're ready) by OfMermaids ( @ofmermaidstories) (Bakugou/Reader)

WIP - Bakugou accidentally destroys a florist’s shop. Bar none the best Bakugou fic out there - his characterization is so on point. He is grouchy but so vulnerable, he’s coarse and soft and insecure and such a perfectionist. The relationship with the reader character develops very naturally, and the chapters are long. Bonus, we get some bangin’ Kiri as well.

 **if i could keep cool by andypantsx3 ( @andypantsx3) (Todoroki/Reader)

Complete – I’m in love with the premise of the fic: a hired cleaner gets kidnapped due to a misunderstanding of the romantic variety. Andie’s Todo is well written, and the pacing of the story is nice and tight. An easy read.

 **Subject: RAPTOR by Tainted_Wine ( @tainted-wine)(Hawks/Reader)

Complete – The villains have turned Hawks into a Nomu, and reader works collecting semen for the facility for breeding purposes. Bigtime monster-fucking, but it’s very poignant and well-done. Very long, but well worth the time.

 **My Hero by HeroAssociation(Aizawa/Reader)

WIP – Reader character is a milf whose son enters a contest to meet his favorite hero and wins. The author’s Aizawa is really good, and the scenes with the reader’s son are very realistic for maternal love. And, I cannot emphasize this enough, reader character is a milf. It’s incomplete, and hasn’t updated in a while, but the premise is so cute I can’t not include it.

Complete – Baby’s first hanahaki. Honestly a very cute little hanahaki – no angst or sads, just two idiots in love. A nice quick read.

Complete – Aizawa gets turned into a cat by a villain’s quirk, and the reader character takes care of him until it wears off. I’ve heard this premise is popular? But I haven’t seen too too many, and this one is very well executed. Aizawa’s characterization is solid, and the pacing is very good. A very sweet read.

**no grave to hold my body down by Hawnks (supermintfluff) ( @hawnks)(Shinsou/Reader)

Complete – Pro Hero Shinsou saves the reader character, and they keep running into each other. This one is a good character study on adult Shinsou, and Hawnks’ writing is always very clean and lovely. I recommend going through their entire selection.

Love Like You by Queen_Kai (Shinsou/Reader)

Complete – Color Soulmate AU with a villain reader. Very cute, and I adore Shinsou’s characterization in this one. I honestly wish there was more, but it stands on its own very well.

Naruto

**Maid with Benefits by awolangel (Akatsuki/Reader)

WIP – Reader is hired to be a live-in maid to the Akatsuki, and also have lots of sex. This fic is hilarious, and so well characterized. The pacing is actually really good, as well as the development of all of the relationships. There are some characters that get more attention than others, but we do get a nice spread. Very fun escapism fic.

Moonshine by Victopteryx ( @ancharan) (HashiMada)

Complete – Prohibition Era Bootlegging AU. Author’s handle on both Madara and Hashirama is incredible (and they draw their own fanart, and it’s also incredible). A whole-ass meal.

Tobirama Kicks Some Sense Into Konoha by allseer15 (Tobirama&Naruto Gen) 

Complete – Tobirama gets sent back in time due to an accidental jutsu, and is horrified at the way Konoha is run, and promptly Rampages over it. Wonderful catharsis for anyone who wondered why it was okay for a rich-ass old man to just leave an infant a welfare check and a shitty apartment and dip out on his development even though he has the equivalent of a nuclear warhead in his upper intestine.

Misc

**Clouds by moriamithril (Star Wars Rogue One, Cassian Andor/Reader)

Complete – Reader character is a handler/assistant type figure to Cassian over a series of missions. We get a lot of emotions in this one – we get the tenderness of caring for someone who is ill, we get devotion, we get yearning, we get delicious jealousy. Well written and lovely.

Fresh Coat by scrapmetal (The Mandalorian, Boba & Din Gen)

Complete – Fantastic Boba and Din, the Mando culture representation we deserve. I’m love.

**A Far Greater Sin (Reader version) by Yavannie (The Mandalorian, Din Djarin/Reader)

Complete – Reader is a healer, and builds a relationship with Mando over the course of a couple decades. Great pacing, great RC development, and the author’s Mando is quite good. The premise/setting gives me wicked fantasy vibes, even though it’s obviously In Space, but that’s definitely a draw.

who's gonna save us now (when the ashes hit the ground) by chancellor_valdez (Ready or Not, Grace/Daniel)

Complete – My favorite of the “Grace and Daniel Survive Together” subgenere, this one is very raw with its emotions. There’s a lot of hurt, and there’s a lot of self-harming coping mechanisms. Recovery is ugly, and the author did a very good job showing us that. And their ending was lovely.

not your garden variety demon lord by rizahawkaye (Inuyasha, SanSessh)

Complete – Sango takes care of Rin sometimes, and gets confused when Sesshoumaru brings her gifts. The author’s Sessh is so good, and it’s a great exploration of a relationship we don’t see much of.

Mine Enemy by Ayrith (Inuyasha, InuSan)

Complete – I love this fic, okay. Fantastic character study in Sango and a lot of the rougher parts of her that canon shied away from, and the author’s Inuyasha characterization is fucking great. Just go read this, yes.

Frozen Plus One by Meowzy (Frozen, HansAnna)

WIP – Troll AU, ie the trolls cursed Hans and that’s why he is That Way. Look, this author has done such a good job with all of the characters. Their voices are very distinct, and it’s not a reach at all to see how it could have gone differently. And we get some sweet HansAnnaKris action, and it is just as we deserve. Honestly, this fic is so well written, it deserves the world.

Knives In by anomalation (Knives Out, Marta/Ransom)

Complete – My favorite of the Pen Pals subgenre, this one is a fantastic slow burn. Ransom is really forced to face himself, and Marta is such a babe. Meg makes a few appearances, and her confusion over her place in the world is really well done. A great enemies-to-lovers.

It's Not Anxiety, It's a Parasite by squadrickchestopher (Venom, Queer Eye)

Complete – Look, I’ve mentioned before, but I love a good Queer Eye fic. Eddie gets what he deserves, and the symbiote couldn’t be more happy. So funny and clever.

You Find Yourself in a Maze by FloaromaMeadow ( @zombiekaiba) (S0 Atem Gen)

Complete – Very short and very poignant, the style is modeled after text-based command games. It fits super well with the Season 0 aesthetic, and there’s so much punch in each command.

BnHA Chapter 266: Sad Naruto Flute Music

Previously on BnHA: Tamaki ate a horse; Dark Shadow punched Re-Destro through a wall; Gigantomachia didn’t want to wake up from his nap; Tokoyami climbed inside of Fatgum’s stomach like a little emo joey and mused about Hawks; Hawks was all “am I evil or no? history shall decide!” and sort of kind of maybe tried to kill Twice; and then Dabi showed up and set the two of them on fire before you could say “stop, drop, and roll.” All of this was a real chapter that really happened. Anyway but then Hawks saved Twice by pulling him out of the fire, which I totally didn’t notice during my first readthrough last week, so that’s nice. But then Dabi stepped on Hawks’s face and used his quirk again. So that was not so nice. We’re really having ourselves an arc, here.

Today on BnHA: Well you know the old saying. Save a man from burning and you feed him for a day, stab him while he’s running away and you feed him for life. Oh, the chapter? Right. Well Hawks is perfectly fine aside from getting a sexy scar for his troubles, which I’ll have you know I did predict. Twice however is not so fine, which, fun fact, I did not predict. If you’re just joining us. Yeah. I boofed it. Anyway so Hawks escapes Dabi using the power of mysterious main character logic, and then he stabs Twice, and Twice dies, very slowly and sadly and in Toga’s arms. That’s it that’s the chapter. You’ll love it. It’s full of feels. And death. Lol I’m in a mood right now I’m sorry guys. I’m gonna go write some healing Bakugou essays.

so as mentioned on the “previously” section above, Hawks saved Twice’s life! meanwhile Dabi apparently arrived in time to listen to Hawks’s “here I go... time to kill you... really gonna do it... here it comes...” speech for at least several seconds before he finally decided to make his grand entrance, as evidenced by him quoting Hawks’s “sentiment” line right back in his face before setting him on fire. so basically Hawks is still okay and villains gonna villain. this is my conclusion and 4 out of 5 dentists approve but you can form your own judgements as well and that’s fine!

(ETA: this is all your fault fifth dentist.)

anyway so before we begin, full disclosure, I was warned this chapter would make me cry. so that ominous pronouncement is gonna be weighing on my mind while we embark upon our weekly manga journey today, but alas such is life! at least life in March 2020. did we really expect any good news at this point. I want a refund on this whole year but apparently I should get in line

so here we go. someone is narrating and it’s not quite clear who

but the “you’ve just been unlucky” part is a reference to what Hawks was telling Twice in chapter 264, so unless Dabi was listening in on that part too, I would think this would have to be Twice? even though Dabi’s the one whose face is so prominent here, all handsome and crazy

How would you end the series if you had the power to choose the ending?

Oh boy. This is gonna get pretty long, so imma put it under a cut. If I had the power, here’s what I’d do from here on out:

Machia and the rest of the League reach Shigaraki, and in the face of the overwhelming odds against them and the losses they’ve already sustained, the heroes are forced to fall back. In the wake of the battle, plus the destruction to surrounding cities, the general public starts to question the effectiveness and reliability of heroes- especially since they all left the cities that Machia was travelling through, meaning no heroes came to help when they were destroyed. Shigaraki learns about Twice’s death, and between that and everything else built up in his head he goes on a bit of a rampage. After a little while though, maybe some interference from the League members, he begins to realise that this stuff isn’t making him feel any better. He still feels like shit, he still hates everything, destroying this stuff is only a short-term catharsis. So maybe that’s when the League sit down and actually start to talk about what would make a real difference: flushing the corruption out of the system.

In the meantime, the heroes are facing the worst crisis they’ve ever seen. Protests up and down the country, parents pulling their kids out of hero programmes (maybe even show a few of the UA kids getting in rows with their parents about it, perhaps even show Shiketsu or Ketsubutsu getting shut down), funding pulled from hero agencies. Hero merch and even buildings are vandalised as people take their fear and uncertainty from the rising villain attacks and turn it against the people who are supposed to be saving them but failing to do so. Izuku sits down with All Might and All Might tells him everything about Nana, Kotaro and Tenko, and what Gran Torino had said to him. He laments that even as the number one he could never save anyone, and that a part of him knows that his role as the Symbol of Peace had a nasty double edge to it, that it convinced normal people that they don’t have to try- prompting flashbacks to the mall conversation. He tells Izuku that that’s why he chose him as his successor, because most people would just turn the other cheek and wait for a hero to show up, but Izuku didn’t do that.

At some point after continuing to train with OfA, Izuku makes contact with Nana, who tells him how much it hurt her to let go of her son, and how much she regrets it knowing what she knows now. She begs Izuku not to give up, to help her put right what she made wrong. Izuku tells her it wasn’t her fault, it was AfO’s, but agrees to help her anyway.

Meanwhile, Shigaraki and the PLF focus on liberating villains in captivity, including those in Tartarus. We see the return of several old faces. There are three major exceptions, though: first, we get Spinner. Spinner confronts Stain, and we get a bit more of his backstory. We get to see some of the abuse he suffered, how hard it was growing up looking like he does in a town that was openly hostile to heteromorphic quirks, and a story about how he went to his local hero office asking for help, only to be roughly rebuffed. Maybe he got briefly arrested after lashing out in anger. We learn that it was after this incident that he became a complete shut-in, until he saw Stain’s messages. To his dismay, Stain dismisses him too, saying that the League are no better, that Shigaraki is a false leader just looking for infamy the same way the heroes look for fame. Spinner is visibly hurt, and as he frees Stain for a moment it looks like he might leave with him, but in a fit of rage he turns and declares his loyalty to the only person he’s ever felt seen by, and kills Stain. After, it is shown that Dabi was watching.

Mr Compress and Toga find Overhaul, and Overhaul asks Toga where Twice is, being as dismissive and offensive towards him as always. Toga starts to scream at him, threatening him and breaking down, but Compress stops her. He soothes her for a few moments, then tells his own story about how he used to be in organised crime, and used to have a family, only to have it all taken away by his boss. That he’s found more kinship with Shigaraki and the League than he ever did in the Yakuza. Then he hands Toga back her knife - using his prosthetic hand - and lets her do what she wants to him.

Shigaraki goes straight to AfO. AfO praises him for what he’s become, tells him how proud he is, and Shigaraki sits down to talk. We find out that AfO had been planning to allow Ujiko to experiment on him from the start, that he’d been running smaller tests and experiments on him since he was a child without his knowledge, that his slightly enhanced physical attributes were due to this, but that he had to be sure Shigaraki’s body could handle it before activating the dormant form of AfO’s quirk he held. We find out more about how AfO groomed him and what his life was like in between AfO taking him in and the beginning of the series. At the end of their conversation - seemingly reminiscing about happy memories - AfO suggests that they leave together, that he continue to coach him in how to use his newfound powers despite his waning health. Shigaraki opens his arms as though to accept him, but as they embrace he activates Decay and says once again that he has no need for him anymore, that he thanks him but that he is so much more than AfO ever groomed him to be.

The end of the academic year rolls around simultaneously and we get to see a hollow and sparse student body watch the third years graduate and become pros, though many have either dropped out or been pulled out. Bakugou and Kirishima and several others argue about whether or not it’s worth continuing. Some even start talking about vigilantism, which has been on the rise lately. Aizawa, Izuku, and Eri visit Mirio, and Eri sincerely apologises that she couldn’t fix him before he graduated, which meant he couldn’t graduate into full hero status. Mirio smiles and assures her that at the end of the day, pro-heroes mean nothing if there aren’t normal people surrounding them helping out too, that he can be a hero in a different way. Eri hugs him.

I guess we could put a timeskip in here, some more stuff with the kids, idk. At some point in a massive publicity stunt, a large number of documents are sent to several media outlets including the medical records of one Todoroki Touya, as well as the details of the rearing and training of the now-retired hero Hawks, outing both the number one and the Commission itself for their dirty deeds. The Todorokis all come under fire from the press, being bullied for details, and Natsuo is the one who snaps and tells them everything. Enji, who’s been living apart from his family for a few months, makes a public apology and is pressured into retiring his agency and title. With the top agency in the country down, hero society all but collapses.

However, encouraged by Aizawa, Mic, and a few other teachers, the kids continue to train and work somewhere in the limbo between hero status and vigilantes. Maybe they even meet up with and work with some vigilantes to stop smaller crimes or side villains in the area. These sort-of-heroes rise in notoriety and publicity and people start coming to them for help.

Honestly idk what exactly to put in here, it’d need a bit more thought, but basically the PLF continues to pick off heroes and erode society, banding more and more villainous organisations together, until Izuku’s merry band of hero/vigilante hybrids consider themselves prepared to take them on, including Izuku being able to fully wield OfA.

Insert a large number of super epic battles in here, a handful of tragic deaths, and a few bridges and sympathies being formed (such as Aizawa and Mic with Kurogiri, maybe Shoji and Spinner, idk). Some of the villains point blank can’t be swayed, like Dabi, who admits to having sent the documents and tells Shoto that he regrets it, that he wishes Enji hadn’t retired so that he could burn him alive and laugh as he did so. Maybe Shoto beats him in a fight or maybe he completely burns himself out, either way he is defeated. Then we get to the final confrontation. Izuku vs Shigaraki. It’s a massive battle, all of their skills get to be used and seen, we’ve all seen Naruto, and when it looks like Izuku’s going to lose, that’s when he steps back and for a moment, lets Nana take over. That’s when Shigaraki hears the one thing he wanted to hear from any of his family, any of the people who claimed to care: I will try to do better. All of the vestiges band together to give Izuku a second chance, and Shigaraki redoubles his efforts in one last attempt to cut all ties to his past. At this point most of the other villains have either been subdued or have laid down their arms and are watching their battle. And Shigaraki pushes himself too far. Maybe he starts to struggle with his own mind like the Nomu, losing coherency. His emotions and his physical power too much for him to handle. Knowing that he’s not going to last much longer, at least not as himself, he forces Izuku down and makes him promise to do better, maybe somehow using quirk bullshit he shows him everything he’s been through, everything that we the readers know but that Izuku does not, and with tears in his eyes Izuku agrees. The hero-vigilantes and the remainder of the League work together to finally put him out of his misery.

Afterwards, whilst society begins to rebuild and recover and we see the hero system completely scrapped. Izuku himself heads the development of the new system, using all the masses of information he’s collected over the years plus everything he learned from Shigaraki and the League. Shigaraki gets a proper funeral, and though it’s a relatively quiet affair, Izuku and Toshinori are there, as are the remaining four core League members (though Dabi is in chains). Toshinori reflects on how, even though Shigaraki’s story started as something loveless and lonely, it ended with real friendship and a true family, and that he hopes somewhere Nana is greeting her grandson with the warmth and love he sorely lacked growing up. And the series closes on Izuku grown up, helping Eri with her high school application, flashing through some of the efforts being made by his surviving classmates to create a truly inclusive society where everyone, regardless of background, quirk, or circumstance is offered a hand. He contemplates how if only someone had reached out a hand to Shigaraki, he could have been like Eri, he could have been saved. But then he realises that despite all the pain and damage Shigaraki caused, if it weren’t for him then nothing would have changed, and even though hero society was ‘destroyed’, a much better thing is being put in its place. Izuku had become a number one hero he could be proud of himself for being. And so he helps Eri seal her envelope, and mutters a quick thank you out of the window, before heading out to help her post it.

Hooboy that took a long time to write. I’m sure there’s a lot of stuff I missed and plotlines that need polishing that I didn’t include, but that’s roughly what I would do if I was put in charge. Hope that’s a satisfying answer!

League stans really want Shigaraki to care about Twice when all he’s been is selfish and bratty the entire series. Just like Dabi didn’t care entire with Shigaraki

actually i’m glad you brought this up because i’ve been dying to talk about it for a hot minute 💀

i mean you’re right to a degree, it’s clear that they want the lov to be like the phantom troupe (a family) but they’re not, arguably twice was the heart of the group and the only one of the group (maybe kurogiri too) who genuinely cared about everyone, without him they have nothing, nothing to make the reader care about them as a friend group, an evil organization sure but a friend group (?)

but then again maybe we see it as them not actually being close or caring about eachother because hori is bad at writing emotional connections (be it friendships, family, or relationships) everything just feels very empty and none of the friendships, with the exception of the bakusquad (which i think is mainly thanks to headcanons by fans), todoroki and bakugo, the big three, mic/aizawa/oboro, feel genuine, like none of them have that emotional pull that makes you actually care about them (they’re almost as badly written as the friendships in naruto tbh) without adding your own headcanons. but that’s just me giving the story the benefit of the doubt.

you’re right about the blue rat though it’d be very out of character for him to genuinely care, like when chrollo mourned uvo it felt genuine and we hardly saw them interact, meanwhile if any lov memeber other than toga (maybe spinner too and i was hoping dabi would be genuine but so far his reaction is like he’s mocking the fact that hawks expected him to care about twice) mourned twice it wouldn’t feel genuine since most of his cannon interactions with the rest of the league are lack luster, like they just treated him as a pest (when he’s baby so obviously that doesn’t sit right with me) like so far all we have is hori’s exposition of the lov’s “friendship” from the analysis book but nothing has genuinely been shown with all of them making family like connections. but again that’s probably just his style of writing so i probably should over analyze it but twice is amazing and deserves to be mourned (without it making the story feel disingenuous)

SO NO ONE ASKED BUT HERE’S NARUTO STIMMING =)

Naruto is, by far (when Sasuke isn’t being loud) the Most Noticable stimmer. He’s so fucking bouncy. He’s always moving! He flaps and he bounces and he shakes and he rocks and he stretches, and if you tell him to be still he’ll probably like. Hiss at you because he’s a lowkey feral child that raised himself.

If he’s bored (he’s basically always bored) then he’s bouncing his leg if he’s sitting and bouncing on the balls of his feet if he’s standing. He shakes his head when he’s happy and flaps his hands if he’s excited! He rocks back and forth when he’s scared and sticks his tongue out when he’s nervous, and rubs his hands/arms/legs/face violently when he’s angry.

Fidget-Spinner-Kunai things that him and Sakura used and then Kakashi actually made useable were fucking. life saving. He straight up giggled the first dozen times he used his because he was just so happy that he had people in his life that understood this part of him and helped him and cared about him enough to include him and help him and he loves his team so much!!!!!! 

Not to mention he always has to be. doing something. At all times. And Sakura notices and galaxy brains and one day, before Kakashi shows up, she sits him down and teaches him to finger knit (something that Ino taught her), and he almost vibrates into another plane of existence! He messes up a lot at first and keeps tensing up waiting to get yelled at, but Sakura just hums paitently and helps him fix it. 

Naruto’s like, super duper good at patterns though, so he’s got it down in a few hours pat and he’s better then Sakura by the end of the month, and he showers her in gifts. 

She’s nevous that it’s him flirting with her again at first, but pretty much immediately softens when he doesn’t even try for a romantic angle and just starts infodumping on her about how he did this stitch or something he tried to make that pattern work. 

He stops in the middle of a sentance and scratches his head hesitantly, apologizing, and her heart aches because she’s more then familiar with stopping herself in the middle of a rant she really wants to finish, so she just rolls her eyes and tells him to continue while she pops a piece of gum into her mouth so it’s easier for her to focus on and give feedback to what he’s saying. 

And also he’s super sensetive to sound, so Sasuke’s stimming drives him fucking banana’s sometimes, even though he tries so hard to respect the ravenette because he knows what it’s like to be told to stop doing the things you need to do to focus. And then Kakashi notices and!!! Pulls Sasuke aside and talks to the Ravennete about it! And Naruto gets super nervous that it’s going to ruin his and Sasuke’s tentative almost-friendship, but instead Sasuke like. Stands further from Naruto when he has to make noise or tries to be a little bit quieter, because he, like Naruto, knows what it’s like to not be able to focus because of something dumb. If anything, he’s angry that Naruto didn’t say anything sooner.

Naruto alomst fucking cries because Sasuke cares and Kakashi cares and he has a team that’s a family that watches out for and tries to help each other!!!! I love them so!!! Much!!!!!!!
