I've posted about my various Adventure Time Roleswap AUs, like a billion years ago (actually it was like six) and now that I've got New Artwork and slightly reworked designs for them maybe it's time to re-introduce them!!

So this what I call the "Bonnieverse'! It's a PB-Finn, Simon-Marcy roleswap! More details under the cut:

Bonnie Bubblegum: A young gum-blob girl found in the woods in the outskirts of Ooo and raised in the Crystal Dimension by Bob and Ethel Raincorn. At the age of 12, Bonnie returned to the Land of Ooo to live with her adoptive older sister Lady - and to try and uncover the mysteries of where she came from. Nobody quite knows what she is or ever heard of other “candy people” like her, as far as anyone knows she’s the first of her kind. She's an aspiring inventor - often creating goofy gadgets to help her on her adventures, but she’s still young and inexperienced so they don't always work as expected. While she’s not a bad fighter with her crossbow, she prefers to defeat her enemies with diplomacy or a clever plan. In spite of her cheerful and gentle demeanor, she had a ruthless strike that tends to catch others off-guard.

Lady Raincorn: Bonnie’s adoptive sister, pretty much the same as her regularverse counterpart. Maybe she’s a bit more of an overly nice pushover to provide more drama and to play off her more ruthless sister.

Prince Finn Martens: The young leader the Human Kingdom - a small island-based kingdom inhabited by the last few Humans in Ooo, as well as Hyoomans and other mutants ('Human' is considered more of a national identity than a species). Prince Finn used to enjoy being a thrill-seeking adventurer when he was Bonnie’s age. But ever since his mother, Queen Minerva, died of a plague - he had to step up and be more responsible as the new ruler of the kingdom. He does try his best, even though he’s still a bit of a violent, immature, fun-loving goofball at heart and not doing such a great job dealing with his mom’s death. Might be a bit living vicariously through Bonnie’s adventurous exploits. His steed is his adopted shapeshifting dog brother Jake (who is basically the same as in the mainverse)

Vampire Queen: Once Marceline Abadeer, a fun-loving pre-Mushroom-War rock star who found herself afflicted with vampirism. Marceline found it extremely hard to resist her vampire urges and secluded herself from her loved ones - trying to scare them away from trying to help her. After surviving the Mushroom War, she started hunting down other Vampires on purpose and absorbing their power to be strong enough to survive through the Apocalypse. Which only made things worse for both her self-image and her mental state. The acclimation of not just her Vampire curse, but those of countless other vampires, has really subsumed the original Marceline. Nowadays, she has very little memories of the person who she once was and, as the last vampire left in Ooo, she ‘rules’ over the desolate and gloomy (and nearly empty) ‘Undead Kingdom’. She spends her time trying to frighten people and appear as a terrifying villain (as a subconscious remnant of her desire to push people away before she hurts them or they hurt her) - but it mostly comes off as weird pranks which are (usually) harmless.

Simon the Ice Wizard: A young child when the Mushroom War broke out, Simon was orphaned by the war and was raised by Marceline Abadeer (AKA Vampire Queen). After she abandoned him to protect him from herself, he found himself under the frosty wing of Patience St. Pim, the Ice Elemental - who made him her protégé and transformed him into a powerful immortal elemental wizard. Although their relationship was always kinda distant. All of those experiences and more made Simon on the one hand very protective and kind and on the other hand kinda obnoxiously clingy and socially awkward. Although he's a well-meaning guy and the biggest nerd in Ooo - through a seemingly never-ending sequence of unfortunate misunderstanding he has accidently managed to develop a terrifying reputation as a fearsome merciless wizard. He's mostly interested in playing the drums and collecting and cataloging pre-Mushroom War artifacts. He and Bonnie are get along great because they’re both huge geeks, though he’s overprotective and doesn’t feel comfortable with the idea of a young child being the hero of the kingdom -which brings him to a lot of conflict with Prince Finn (also Finn just generally likes teasing him for being a huge nerd).

The thing about writing a post apocalyptic sw au (station eleven and TLOU) is that it helps anúnciate the reality that the sequel trilogy is a post apocalyptic narrative. Like, the sequel trilogy is really, really bad, and one of the places it’s so bad it becomes fascinating is in the gap between the Light Action Adventure corporatized media Pew Pew Pew series it Thinks it is with all its product tie ins and Lego sets and the knock em out balls to the walls Hopeless post apocalyptic narrative it actually is. Never is it convinced that anything in the galaxy improved or rebuilt after the return of the Jedi. Because it is not a Series Smart enough to come up with it’s own plot lines it simply regurgitates the original trilogy plot lines without the intelligence to make a nuanced commentary about intergenerational trauma or way survivors of fascism must continue to fight new forms. The sequel trilogy is a hamster wheel. The war never ended. Everything is the same. The Death Star is the same. The rebellion is now the resistance, a far more splintered, shatter shell that can fit into and out the back of a single hangars. The weapon that killed a planet now destroys a planetary system. And what gets me is the individual stories. These are the children of an apocalypse. Finn was taken from his family as a child to become the next round of stormtrooper canon fodder. Rey scrabbled for survival by physically tearing sustenance from the carcasses of a war. Poe was born during the last war and lives to see his adult live suited up into the same conflict his parents fought. Rose is a refugee of a planet destroyed like alderaan and kenari. Every one of them is born on this hamster wheel without a way off. It’s why I have a hard time reconciling rogue one and andor as existing in the same universe as the sequel trilogy, because I think RO and Andor are both so much more cuttingly brutal and so much more hopeful that what the ST provides. Finn and Rey and Rose and Poe are way some substantiation of Andor’s worst nightmares. They’re literally each living the lives Cassian and so many others died to prevent from happening.

#Looking at mmfr and children of men slides like the ST is in THAT level of hopeless post apocalyptic without REALISINg it it. It’s so wild #I think rogue one and andor are so interesting in terms of the theme of non biological descent too like #You had ancestors who loved you who you never knew. But they did what they did because they loved you #And how interesting and sharp that is in line with one of sw most gripping other themes: the failure of parents to protect their children #From structural violence #There’s so many things to say about rogue one but it’s about people who loved their descendants they didn’t know who’s never know their nam #S. So that what was happening wouldn’t keep happening

FAQ

Standing for "frequently asked questions", these are questions about the AU which should be basic or fundamental to understand so that they may not be asked over and over again by those interacting with the blog.

When does the story take place?

- The story starts in the summer of 1949, less than 4 years after Sniff was found in a supersized dark forest by Moominmamma and Moomintroll while on their search for Moominpappa. After that, it's just a matter of figuring out the timeline yourself.

Which adaptation is this story following?

- The story is its own canon which is a unique hodgepodge of details and stories from the books, the comics, and details or information sprinkled in from the 90s series and even Moominvalley 2019.

Did the stories made by Tove Jansson happen in this AU?

- With very few details skewed here and there, the first few Moomin books (Moomins and the Great Flood, Comet in Moominland and Finn Family Moomintroll) have taken their place over the course of a year and a half from 1945-1946 in-universe. There are also a few comic stories, if changed in detail, which have already taken place for the 2 years before the story begins, these comics are; Moomin's Desert Island, Moomin Builds a House, Moominmamma's Maid, Club Life in Moominvalley, Moomin Falls in Love, Moomin's Lamp and Mymble's Diamond.

Other stories (from the books and comics) may happen in between or in the background of chapters, though chapters themselves will also follow some pre-existing storylines.

Thinking back on the Star Wars AU my friend and I briefly conceptualized. Lots of ideas, but no proper writing motivation.

Jay is raised in the Empire, but defects when she neets space pirate Chip. They find Jedi padawan Gillion lost and on his own, and become a little trio.

Gillion knows Jay has some force sensitivity, but doesn't know how much until it's revealed she was going to be trained as an Inquisitor under her father before she defected.

Chip is a bit force sensitive - not enough to be a jedi, but it makes him an incredible pilot.

Gillion begins to help Jay learn more of the light side of the force, and shares some about his destiny - he's meant to bring balance back, but before he could learn much more his master died and left him alone.

They find a long-abandoned and hidden jedi temple, and Jay is guided to her own kyber crystal. Gillion has had his own for a bit now.

Jay's saber is a golden color, and she Ezra Bridger-ifys it and gives it a gun function. Gillion's saber is an aqua slash a blue color.

They eventually run into the Rebels - spearheaded by Lizzie, whom Chip shares a history with.

The visual of Chip and Jay and Gillion fighting in sync, guided by the force, is something that can be so personal.

Drey and Finn were both jedi as well, and Arlin was a good mandalorian friend. They vanished during Order 66, tho Chip claims he was briefly raised by Arlin.

They find Drey and Jay asks him to teach them. However, he tells them he can't - he's not fit to be a teacher. He'll offer advice and wisdom, but he can't be their teacher.

Also added cameo of Dakota and Vyncent in the rebellion under the guidance of Tide, who was a clone that survived Order 66 by taking out his chip.

Dakota is force sensitive, but doesn't know that - he just thinks he has an imaginary friend in William, who's a force spirit of a child that died during Order 66.

William teaches Dakota some of what he learned from his master, Mallard Conway. Mallard later turns out to be a Sith lord, who would have taken William with him if William hadn't died.

Poe Dameron dating headcanons

You first met Poe when you guys were kids you weren’t very close but your guys parents were friends, both being part of the resistance, so you spent some time together.

You lived next door to each other

His mother passed when you both were younger, he was different after that.

The older you got the less you saw of him, at 18 you joined the resistance and Poe left, you didn’t see him for a long time after that.

Few years later his showed back up as a pilot in the resistance.

That first week he was there, was the first time he talked to you in years.

“Y/N Right?” You heard somebody say from behind you.

“Yeah, why who’s asking?” You said before turning around.

After that you both started to catch up, both being in the resistance, and being pilots, you saw a lot more of each other.

You were both close with Leia, her seeing you almost as her own child.

After you starting dating, Leia, was happy for you but also worried that it would interfere with the job you had to do, however it’s young love and she knew nothing was going to stop you two.

OKAY NOW JUST SOFT COUPLE STUFF:

You both switch with being the big spoon when cuddling but we all know that Poe is defiantly a small spoon.

When you both have time off, he’ll take you on nice dates or sometimes just staying in bed and having movie marathon(idk if that makes this a modern au anymore, does the star wars universe have movies??)

After the events of TFA, you become close friends with Finn.

ALSO BB8 loves you.

When he comes back from a mission, he’ll lay on your chest or stomach while you comb your fingers through his hair. Either talking about the harsh day or sometimes laying their in silence.

You become friends with Rose and Rey as well when you finally meet them.

I don’t whether Poe would be much or a PDA guy or not but if he was, kisses always, no matter where you were, he wanted to be touching you in some kind of way, definitely a hand holding kind of guy.

A Star Wars Sequel series AU idea

Ben Solo wasn't Han and Leia's only child. They had a daughter too, but around the same time that news broke that Leia was Darth Vader's biological daughter, that little toddler girl was kidnapped. They never found her and it was the first big crack in the foundation of Han and Leia's marriage. When Ben turned to the dark side, they ended up drifting apart. Leia becoming more involved in the political movement opposing the First Order and Han returning to his smuggling roots.

TFA events are largely unchanged, but Rey doesn't immediately head out after Luke. They wait for Finn to recover, then Leia sends Rey with Finn, Chewie, Poe, and R2 to track down Luke.

Now, Luke is not the 'last' of the Jedi. Not only is Leia trained as a Jedi, but there are various others who are members of a new Jedi Order. It's not what the old Order was, but so much of that history was deliberately lost that they couldn't recreate the exact same thing from before. Ben Solo's defection killed off a number of the order, so they're all currently spread across the galaxy. Some searching out new force sensitives to teach, others using their abilities to help people in need...

Luke, specifically, went in search of the origins of the Jedi. He entrusted his flight plan to very few in order to keep the growing First Order off his back... but also to keep his other objective from being found out. He didn't want to give Leia false hope after failing to find her missing daughter all those years ago. But new clues have surfaced recently and there are a handful of planets where they might be able to pick up clues to his missing niece's whereabouts.

One of those worlds was Jakku where Luke's friend - but not a Jedi himself - Lor San Tekka has been scouring for records of a girl matching Breha Solo's description having been taken through one of the many spaceports some sixteen or seventeen years ago. And he's not only found that evidence... he thinks that girl is still on the planet.

He gives this information along with the map to Poe, as the First Order has been taking an interest in Jakku and it's only a matter of time before they show up... a matter of time being mere minutes in this case.

When R2 wakes up and displays the map, he keeps the other information private. it's coded specifically for Luke. But Leia, and even Han before he died, felt a connection the young woman from Jakku.

Leia wonders, if her daughter was still alive, would she be something like Rey? Han wishes he'd been the kind of father who could protect his children, but maybe there's still something he can do to make this girl's life better?

Luke's been setting up his secret enclave Jedi school in a system similar to the Corellian system (as in, it's artificially created and maintained) where he has reason to believe the Jedi originated in the time following the fall of the Rakatan Infinite Empire, long before the rise of the First Republic. The Ancient precursors to the Jedi believed in, and taught, the balance between the light and the dark and the necessity of followers of both paths, something the Jedi eventually lost. For all that they believed in balance, by making the dark side something forbidden and taboo they may have inadvertently created an imbalance of the Force. He still has a lot to learn about the origins of the Jedi, though, so a lot of what he's deciphered is still speculative at best.

This is where Rey and Finn find him, along with R2, Poe, and Chewie. And Luke welcomes them. Though of course he's especially excited to have two more students to learn the ways of the Force. And then R2 delivers his second message from Lor San Tekka.

He found the girl, Breha Solo. He's sure of it. She was brought to Jakku and sold as an indentured servant to one of the local scrapyard owners: Unkar Plutt. She'd earned her freedom at the age of sixteen but was rumored to still be on planet, living as a scavenger. Going by the name Rey, which Tekka suspected was a child's derivation of Breha.

Rey, the girl that Leia just sent to Luke for training...

Willow - Starwars

Hi everyone,

For fun and pleasure, I’ve compared the Willow characters with those of Star Wars.

Willow : Yoda (He teaches magic to Elora just like Yoda teaches magic to Luke)

Elora : Luke Skywalker (She learns that she is the chosen one just like Luke learns that he is a Jedi)

Kit: Rey (Rey has both good and evil inside her. Granddaughter of Palpatine. Just like Kit whose grandmother is Bavmorda)

Jade: Ashoka Tanos (she is brought to Coruscant as a child to be trained as a Jedi. Jade is taken from her family to be raised as a knight)

Airk: Kylo Ren (turned to the dark side of the force and acting for the First Order. Until the day of his redemption when he saves Rey. Airk, goes to the dark side and acts for The Crone. Saved by Kit)

Sorsha : Leia Organa (Leia is a brave and strong woman, general of the Resistance, fighting against the First Order

Madmartigan : Han Solo (charming, brave, excellent leader of men but often arrogant, cynical. But he is a man with a great heart, who despite his way of being ends up joining the Resistance. Madmartigan will end up protecting Elora and Willow)

Boorman: Lando (smuggler who will join the Resistance. Boorman, a grave robber will help protect Kit, Jade, Elora, Willow)

Graydon: Finn (He is just trying to escape the First Order out of fear, but finds himself involved with the Resistance and will become an important figure in the Resistance. Graydon refuses to participate in the quest to save Airk. He is forced to by his father and becomes a great sorcerer)

General Kael: Darth Vader (Will turn to the dark side of the Force and become Palpatine's strong arm. His only reason is to save Padmé. Gael will become Bavmorda's weapon of choice to free his people from slavery. Bavmorda's Promise)

Bavmorda : Palpatine (Rey's grandfather. Trained on the dark side, his reason is to destroy all Jedi. Bavmorda, Kit's grandmother, acting for The Wyrm, her reason to destroy Elora)

Boorman : Lando (contrebandier qui rejoindra la Résistance. Boorman, voleur de trésor aidera protégera Kit, Jade, Elora, Willow)

Graydon : Finn (Il cherche juste à fuir le Premier Ordre par peur, mais se retrouve impliqué malgré lui dans la Résistance et deviendra un personnage important pour la Résistance. Graydon refuse de participer à la quête pour sauver Airk. Il s’y voit obligé par son père et deviendra un grand sorcier)

Général Kael : Darth Vader ( Basculera du côté obscure de la Force et deviendra la bras armé de Palpatine. Son unique but étant de sauver Padmé. Gael deviendra la bras armé de Bavmorda dans l’unique but de libérer son peuple de l’esclavage. Promesse de Bavmorda)

Bavmorda : Palpatine (Grand père de Rey. Formé au côté obscure son but détruire tous les Jedis. Bavmorda, grand-mère de Kit, agissant pour The Wyrm, son but détruire Elora)
