HELP NEEDED—PLEASE READ

hi, Adam, here, and I’m speaking from my position in a movement to help save my college and our community. We need your help.

Goddard College, is a remarkable and vital learning institution that has brought tremendous social and economic value to Vermont, and has achieved much support and love from the wider Vermont community over the years.

For decades it’s provided a supportive student-focused environment and a strong community unlike any other college, transformed students into our best selves, and even saved lives.

Despite this it is currently in the process of being shut down by a board of trustees that has neglected their duties to operate in good faith and act in the best interest of the institution, to respect the contracts formed with both the faculty and staff unions, to honor their obligations to the students whose learning has been massively disrupted (and caused severe harm to students mental health) as well as to engage in good faith with all parties interested in acquiring the goddard name, academic program and campus.

The board have chosen a buyer for the campus. We’re doing the best we can but it’s been rough.

If you don’t have the energy to help that’s understandable, but for everyone who does there are three primary representatives we need to flood the inboxes of.

The goal is to get at least one of these representatives to actively sit down with us and discuss solutions. We need to call them *every day* until they meet with us at the Remake Goddard movement.

Yes I am enamoured with symbols, as it is healthy to be; doesn't make the Olympics any less of an ethical scandal and social aberration. The Left that rejects awe on the ground of immorality, that rejects wonder before art and culture when it exists outside of their (otherwise desirable) idealistic agenda, speaks to the few, and discards humaness. Especially when said symbols come from revolutionary history. Especially when the whole world saw them.

Rather, that Left should reflect on the power of symbols over our minds: can it be that this artistic ideal is something we yearn for?

One of my fellow students came up to me after one of her classes and said "we voted who would be the best in our department to smoke weed with" and she went on about our teachers and then she said "I think you were on the bottom of the list"... literally assigned me as nightmare blunt rotation

For more than a week, officials in Washington have been speaking out against Israel’s plan to invade Rafah, and on Wednesday, President Joe Biden said that the U.S. would stop supplying Israel with heavy weapons should it move forward with its plans. He also admitted that Israel has killed civilians with U.S. bombs. Last week, 57 House Democrats wrote to Biden, saying “an offensive invasion into Rafah by Israel in the upcoming days is wholly unacceptable” and urging him to pause weapon shipments. The Biden administration made the unprecedented move to halt one shipment of offensive weapons to Israel, and on Wednesday, the State Department said that the administration is “reviewing” other arms shipments.

Horrific images of this “limited operation” have already circulated: a heavily burnt boy lying on a gurney next to his decapitated father, young children crushed beneath the rubble of their bombed home, and first responders picking through remains of Palestinians.

The "non-profit" continues to wade into politics despite it not being chartered to do so, on the contrary it's forbidden.
