There's something at the tip of my tongue about the parallels between Jackie and Wilson and Who We Are
How the narrator of Jackie and Wilson wants to run away with a woman that he's carved out of his imagination based on a brief interaction. How they would try the world, but good god it wasn't for them. So they run away from it into a fantasy world where they live by their own rules.
And then comes the narrator of Who We Are, who dreamt his whole life of finding someone who would hold him like water or like a knife, only to find that running away from the world will only get them so far, since "the hardest part is who we are". And only to find out that the "phantom life" he's fantasized about is actually just that: a phantom. And its absence sharpens like a knife

Turns out you can just yoink whole maps with props and all from Black Mesa and throw em in blender at the cost of it running like absolute shit. WIN. Also gun arm sculpt is done wahoo. I couldn't find anything on the OG model so I winged it.

There is a wolf in front of House, and onstage, and next to him. They all have teeth, and he keeps his mouth shut because he doesn’t yet.
He’s in class, in that big lecture hall, but he’s also onstage, giving a presentation to students on how to treat a patient presenting with leg pain.
Hair shorn short. Military cut, like Dad. Wolfskin wrapped around his chest, legs spread, slouched down, hiding near the back, so he won’t call on himself. So he’ll blend in with the pack.
“Hey, House,” House calls to himself anyways, and meets his own blue eyes.
House onstage smiles. His teeth are razor sharp.
“It’s a basic truth of the human condition.”
House suppresses a bleat. Doesn't bare his teeth and doesn’t look away.
“What is it?”
Don’t reply.
“What’s the truth?”
He knows the answer.
“Come on you idiot, what is it?”
House in the audience won’t answer. Just sits there, pathetic, neutered, insolent girl. He watches (feels) his jaw work, smells the sweat, hears the blood rushing, the increasing thump, thump, thump.
“What is it?” he roars, stepping forward and the world drops beneath him. His leg gave out. He forgot his cane.
He looks up at the class and eyes stare back at him. All red. All hungry. He bares his own teeth. Wolves are supposed to protect their own.
“The truth is,” the wolf beside him says. House turns to where Wilson sits, chewing something. “That everybody lies.”
When Wilson smiles, his fangs are stained green.

yeah the corruption's not great
it was nice to know that other people are also scared of bugs being everywhere because I have been scared of that for like 10 years and every time I would mention that someone would say "Oh!" with That Look or "oh you know that was a method of torture in medieval times!" but nowadays I might luck out and get "oh there's this podcast" and I go "I know I have listened to it"

For musical characters to play: Mozart from Mozart!, and anyone from Affaire Mayerling
Oooh.... :DD
I feel like Mozart would be a tough one, because the show relies a lot on the actor's charisma and emotional range - needs a lot of talent. It'd be awesome to sing Schatten los and Der einfache Weg, though. Maybe 7/10? Preferably in a production with the red coat, I'm so pale that the white revival outfit wouldn't look amazing XD
Affaire Mayerling... ajjfkskdk. I'd actually love to play Stéphanie, even though she's a bit high for my range (not as impossible as some others tho). 9/10. And it's totally not my "casting type" but Taaffe is awesome, he's (at least as played by Uwe) like a queer fever dream amidst the extremely cursed story and it would be so fun. 10/10. I sometimes joke that on all levels except physical I am the dancer/ensemble member who does high kicks with Taaffe in Fäden in der Hand so that's also an option. And since I recently did a song based on Zeit zu Handeln I guess I'd be equipped to play Szeps or any of the other people in that number 😭😭😭🤣 Maybe w a preference towards Vogelsang because the guy who played him in the 2009 proshot has a smooth voice and he gets the nicest lines in the song.
(I'd never want to play Rudolf or Mary. I couldn't get through those scenes without stopping the show and starting to yell about my distaste for the script XD And Mary's songs are way too high.)

i love how genuinely weird bocchi is, and how the rest of kessoku loves her for it. theres no like “cute” anxiety or bocchi being just a shy girl, she is regularly bizarre and off putting and the rest of the girls don’t put up with that, they like it!!! kita thinks she’s cool and makes an effort to help her feel more comfortable! ryo thinks she’s fun! nijika believes in her ability to make her dreams come true!! like bocchi does actually genuinely strange things. often not in a cute way! she regularly has episodes and speaks in weird ways and doesn’t even play the guitar that well the first time they play together. it’s just so refreshing to see a character like that be genuinely accepted into a group, not out of pity, but out of appreciation for her and her talents and personality.

If you've ever wondered how much I live for validation, I once got a bad review on one of my fics where the reviewer said I wrote a really good trippy nightmare sequence, but everything else was subpar. I now find every excuse to cram trippy nightmare sequences into everything I write specifically because of this.

Here's a "fun" fact for you:
In the early 2000s Roy's actor (Adam J. H.) played one of the Dads in a same sex parent family in a Christmas movie. This version was released in Canada.
However, there was a second version where his role was swapped with a woman instead, doing the exact same actions/lines. The only change to the role was the gender of the actor. This alternative version was released in the USA.
