this is really bonkers - we just did a deep dive trying to work out what was our first Doctor Who series that we remember, and worked out we were just five years old when we started watching it in 1967 - our parents were messed up in so many ways, they certainly weren't policing our viewing - in fact we watched Quatermass and the Pit when we were seven

so our first Doctor Who series that made an impression was the Yetis in 67, but the one that really stuck in our head was Fury From The Deep in 68 (angry seaweed and soap bubbles taking over a North Sea gas rig) - we remember talking about it excitedly with a school teacher and she thought we were making it up and got worried and asked our mum, who explained the provenance (ironic that she was worried about that but didn't pick up on us being abused)

Patrick Troughton was just our favourite Doctor (look at this quirky little man)

Phantasy Phest 2022 Day 3

Urban Fantasy

Lets go over the urban stories of giants. I will go down with this that the Far Frozen people is actually a race of giants. Well a branch of them. No. They are not exactly yetis. Yes. I thought of them as giants.

They are race of giants that live in the frozen land. More of like the norse mythology stories but they did not fit those description. They isolated their race away from the humans when they find a way to get into the infinite realm.

Their race strength are great but not greater than pandora. They are the keeper of knowledge and in the past, during pariah's reign, they are known as his treasurer and keeper.

I am kinda sleepy right now and feeling burnout so i will sleep just a bit before i continue this prompt idea.

Here’s a list of times Danny has been spotted by the townspeople as Phantom outside of ghost fights!

1.) Laying down half asleep on a traffic light post, no one saw him fall

2.) Standing outside on the street during a big blizzard sipping what people are guessing was hot cocoa

3.) On the roof of Casper High looking at the sky

4.) In Casper High’s library browsing the outer space section

5.) In the park playing with a ghost puppy, who unfortunately kept turning into a large ghost dog and growling at anyone who tried to come close (it’s worth noting that Phantom kept trying to calm him down and apologizing, with the exception of Maddie, who seemed to make the ghost dog even angrier)

6.) Having a friendly chat with a large ghost wolf in the nearby woods

7.) On the street during a blizzard, waving at a large ghost resembling a yeti and going “Hi, dad! :D”

8.) Asleep on one of those couches in the local library with a book on astrophysics on his chest

“Oh I am blaming all of this on you T,” one of the beings in the summoning circle groans, burying their corpse-pale head in clawed hands as their white hair flickered. 

“Me? Excuse me, I wasn’t the one to accept the summoning!” another being protested, hood hiding most of their face save for molten-gold eyes and glittering runes or code on dark blue skin. “I was trying to figure out how to convince PK to change our schedule to include more sleeping, so don’t look at me, look at S!” 

“Well I didn’t accept it,” the only girl-sounding one scoffed, her crown of thorns seeming to writhe and bloom in her black hair for a moment. She crossed her arms, narrowing green eyes just a few shades darker than the white-haired one. “Maybe talk to whoever decided to summon us?” 

All of the sudden the cultists and heroes were being peered down at by a trio of… honestly whatever they were, because they didn’t seem to be the “Infinite King” the cult had been attempting to summon. Actually, they kind-of-maybe looked like kids… Which probably meant their parents or caretakers wouldn’t be too pleased.

Dr Leslie Thompkins has some interesting references

So! The Batfam in in Dr Thompkins' Clinic for the usual Vigilante Related Injuries, and the Good Dr seems to be distracted.

One of them asks why she is so nervous and she reveals that her old teacher is coming over to visit, and she is worried that the state of her Clinic and the fact that she never managed to find a good job in a Hospital despite his teachings will upset him.

She is worried that she will disappoint him, because he has done so much for her in the past. He is the entire reason she ever managed to become a certified Doctor in the first place.

The others are curious as to what kind of person would illicit this level of concern from the Stric Doctor they knew?

There is a Knock on the Door, and she goes to Answer it.

In steps an 8 Ft Fall Glowing Yeti with an Arm made of Ice.

Frostbite smiles warmly at his former student, "Leslie! It's been too long!"

There are not enough aus where Frostbite adopts Danny.

Frostbite comes to the realisation that the great one who defeated Parish Dark is a neglected child and goes 'well that won't do'. Maybe Danny has to leave the living world and Frostbite's tribe takes him in. Danny gets a clan and a whole tribe of people as a support network and a stable environment to feel safe in. Maybe he even manages to finish his schooling!

Maybe the Observants try to have Danny thrust onto the throne because they think he'll be easy to manipulate if they force him into unprepared and tear him from his haunt. Danny is panicking and so the Far Frozen are like. Well :) according to the law of the Far Frozen realm and customs of the tribe that the child is a ward of, Danny is still a minor until his coming of age ceremony in about fifty years or so, so until then :) the Observants council would never violate Far Frozen law like that, would they? :|

Thus Danny is free to live his life and maybe find a new candidate in the meantime.

Danny had everything under control! He did!

It's dark out, time ticking to zero, and he's desperately trying to hide the baby yeti along the shadows of the alleys.

He's so so dead. Even more than he is right now. Turning full ghost even.

When Frostbite finds out that he'd taken his eyes off Snowdrift for five seconds and ended up in the living realm with no preparation, very short notice, or plan, he will never trust Danny with babysitting again!

Oh ancients.

"Hey there— is that a yeti?"

Great, a hero.

Swirling around, Danny stands in front of Snowdrift, hiding their form barely, their fluff and form peeking from behind the legs.

"No—"

"Greetings! My name is Snowdrift!"

Danny glances at the yeti cub as they stand next to him.

"Snowdrift, this is a stranger danger situation, remember what I told you about those?"

The cub peers up at him, confused. "Name no name and call for Dad?"

The teen nods.

Snowdrift looks at the hero, and a light bulb goes off. They quickly slide back behind Danny's form, simply peeking from the side now, curious.

"You saw nothing." The halfa turns to the hero, grinning nervous yet threatening.

"I'm not sure this is how it goes—"
