Jugo hates fireworks.

That’s actually not true. In all honesty Jugo loves the exploding colors that paint the night sky. They sparkle brightly and all Jugo wishes to do is stare at their beauty in awe. What he actually hates is the noise.

Loud noises have always triggered Jugo into a fight or flight response causing him to lose control. It’s scary, especially now that he is no longer alone. Now he’s a part of a team, people he’s grown to care for as friends, friends that all he wants to do is protect. Still, for the first time in his life Jugo feels a sense of control of himself.

So when Karin offhandedly mentions wanting to go to a festival and see the fireworks in town Jugo slightly panic. He declines, making up an excuse of not feeling well enough to going out but Karin can tell he’s lying. Suigetsu tries to get him to come but Karin tells him to just let Jugo be, believing he just didn’t want to be crowded by so many people.

Sasuke however notices that Jugo seemed a lot more panicked than he usually gets. He tells Karin and Suigetsu to go without them. The two leave promising to find food to bring back.

Once the two leave Sasuke and Jugo sit in silence, but this silence is different. Sasuke looks over at Jugo, who is rocking back and forth with his hands over his ears.

“Jugo…”

“I don’t want to hurt you guys. I care about all of you but I’m going to hurt someone.”

“Jugo, remember that I will be your cage.” Sasuke cusps Jugo’s check with his hand. “As long as I’m here I won’t let you hurt anyone, including yourself.”

A tear slides down Jugos check and Sasuke quickly wipes it away with his thumb. “I love fireworks. I love the colors but the noise…”

Sasuke takes in the information but doesn’t know what to say. Eventually, Karin and Suigetsu come back with a whole bunch of different food. Karin pulls out a blanket to lay on the floor and the group has a picnic indoors.

While the three are distracted Sasuke goes out to ‘borrow’ some sparklers. When he brings them back the four do what they do best and be chaotic.

Karin tries to make pretty patterns with the smoke but Suigetsu keeps ruining the designs and attempting to get Sasuke to sword fight him with the sparklers. Sasuke claims he only joined in because he doesn’t need Suigetsu’s ego to get any bigger, it’s totally not because he is enjoying himself. Jugo enjoys staring at the brightness of the sparkler and actually feel himself relaxed.

They all come from different nations, belong to different clans, and barely anything in common, but that’s what made them special. Taka had no reason to stay together, yet they continue to work together side by side.

For the first time in years Jugo feels a chuckle escape his lips.

Jugo hates fireworks, but sparklers are a nice substitution.

OK friends, you know what season it is. Team Taka Matsuri is upon us and it's going to be great!!

For anyone who may new here: Team Taka Matsuri is a mini event spanning 2-3 days over Sasuke's birthday where fans of Team Taka get to share their art, writing, thoughts, or whatever they want (just no hate, plz).

This year it's going to be super chill. I will post a prompt list BUT unlike the last two years it won't be a requirement to follow it. Prompts will be there for those who like having them but feel free to do whatever you want!! it's what Team Taka would want

“Sarada is the first Uchiha that awoke her MS out of a sense of pure love, unlike the rest of them that were rooted in hatred –she’s the first one to break the “Hatred Cycle” of the clan.”

*sighs* Listen, there’s nothing I’d like more than to leave Boruto and all of its byproducts behind for good, yet over and over again the rabid anti-Sasuke fandom comes back to trash on the original characters of the show for the sole purpose of chanting “old Uchiha bad, new Uchiha good” around a barely lit pit fire.

Allow me to quickly break this notion, as it doesn’t need much more inspection than a faint passing of our eyes through the original series to debunk it.

After hearing Naruto is sealed away alongside Hinata and everyone blames Boruto, Sarada starts crying and, in desperation, asks her dad to “help Boruto”, awakening her Mangekyou Sharingan.

[Contrary to what I initially believed as I thought she might be asking for help as she couldn’t move, she’s not injured, she appears to be (at most) in shock due to everything that Boruto has to face, so, in case you’re one of those Naruto fans that are used to have pretty plot-relevant, emotional moments after the initial awakening of an Uchiha’s MS, let me tell you: That’s not happening, at all.]

Regardless of the minuscule and for real, for real, not sarcastic at all, very-well thought and constructed attempt to empower a character whose relevance to the main plot lies in the fact that she is the only daughter of Boruto's mentor, many stans of the child saw this opportunity to trash on Sasuke’s power as an Uchiha (you know, the reincarnation of Indra itself), and to justify such an awakening of one of the most powerful forms of the Sharingan under the premise that “it’s a different type of awakening because it’s linked to love, not hatred.”

So, in order to fact-check such affirmation, let’s see how other characters achieved the Mangekyou:

Sasuke:

Sasuke awakes his MS originally from learning the truth behind his family’s genocide; before this (and I mean, chapters before this, as his MS is dedicated a total of three chapters) Obito explained that the Uchiha were planning a coup and that Itachi, to protect Konoha and his brother, committed the annihilation of his entire kin following the government’s orders. We see him crying before a new resolution is reached: destroy Konoha. His MS awakes due to his pain which turns to complete anger.

However, you wouldn’t believe how Sasuke has conscious access to both Mangekyou:

That’s right folks, he has conscious access over his right MS by thinking of those he wants to protect, Team Taka and Team 7. So this “hatred” cycle that powers up his Sharingan is fuelled by one thing and one thing only: love.

Furthermore,

Sasuke got conscious access over his left MS technique when trying to save Karin, as she’s a very dear comrade of his. Something similar happened when he awakened his Sharingan versus when he got conscious access to it when trying to save Naruto.

[Sasuke awoke the Sharingan when he was eight years old, so the idea that “haha, Sarada awoke her MS when she was younger than him so she’s better!” is stupid as he awoke it when he was at least four years younger when facing the genocide of his people, unlike her that got it from daddy issues. In fact, awakening MS or the Sharingan before or after has nothing to do with the person's capacity as a ninja as it solely depends on the traumatic events that said person experiences. It's safer to say that her emotional threshold is significantly lower than her father's given the "peaceful" times in which she grew up than to claim a "superiority" based upon the age they both experienced traumatically enough events to influence their chakra and develop or evolve their doujutsu.]

Obito:

Obito, somewhat similar to Sasuke (and this is due to their feelings, as they’re heartbroken and such pain triggers their raw hate), awakes his MS when he sees the girl he loves get killed by the boy he started to consider a friend when he was twelve/thirteen years old. His feelings are so strongly connected to his Sharingan that they also evolve the doujutsu that Kakashi possesses.

However, there’s a striking difference between how Obito awakened his Sharingan (basic form) and how Sasuke or even Sarada did as he achieved such power when trying to save his comrades.

[Sasuke awoke the Sharingan due to the pain he felt when seeing his parents get killed by his brother, which turned into hatred when Itachi "explained" his reasons. Meanwhile, Sarada got her Sharingans due to the pain she felt when her father didn't recognize her, which turned into fear when he threatened to kill her.]

Obito’s Sharingan was completely awakened by a sense of protectiveness over those dear to him, in other words, love. 

Every single Sharingan or evolution of the same doujutsu is driven by the same emotion. From there, it either derivates to different states (pain, hate, grief, and so on), or it doesn’t, but no Uchiha can access either form without feeling a strong positive connection with someone or something they are trying to protect.

P.S: Unrelated, but look how pretty Kishimoto's art is compared to Ikemoto's (who also sexualizes minors constantly, as this is the cover of the newest volume), Sasuke looks so ugly and Sarada's MS is the most awful thing I've ever seen. No wonder the manga is flopping. Yikes.

Edit to add: It’s devastatingly hilarious how the whole point of Sarada’s Mangekyou wasn’t even about her; nor her power, nor the relevance of her bonds, it was about making a powerful enough moment for Sasuke to believe her and help Boruto! Everything becomes, yet again, about Sasuke.

Well, I've always thought how Karin would confess to him. Just like Sasuke, she never would speak out lout, her character don't know how express this love she fell for him... Actually, when she try to do it, it's when she go all the way to hit on him.😅

So after all the cannon events on manga, team taka will travel together and after a while, each of them will follow their own journey. Juugo would go to kumokagure village, Suigetsu will find again his roots in the mist country an Karin returns to otokahure, join Orochimaru to find some cure for Juugo's curse.

The team will travel together until only Sasuke's journey left, but before that, in the last night they spent as a duo, Karin will have the courage to say, not with all the words, but she will tell 'The moon is beautiful, isn't?'

Seems weird, right? 🤭

Well, I studied Japanese for some time and in the Meiji era, the writer Natsume Soseki, when debating with some students at the time, suggested the phrase '月がきれいですね' which means 'the moon is beautiful, isn't it?' as a way of declaring to someone, a poetic way to say I love you (愛している). Why? Because in japanese culture it's not comum say 'I love you' directly.

I read recently other explanation that 月(tsuki) is phonologically similar to 好き(suki, another way to say 'I love you'), so it's almost like saying 好きがきれいですね。(loving you is beautiful, isn't it?)

Soooo, I wonder how Sasuke would react towards this confession and spontaneous momento of her. Sasuke seems clueless every time she hit on him, so here he would be somehow confused and after realizing what she does, Karin blushes and turn aways. In my mind Sasuke would confess with a gesture, so this can be way to a second part? 🤭

I like this idea because Sasuke is the representation of the moon in manga, and even if it hasn't been shown in the canonical work, Karin can be a representations for Maple trees.

That's just amazing because it's another contrast with NaruSaku. In Japan, just as the spring brings cherry blossom and hanami (flower-viewing) fastivals, the autumn welcomes moon viewing and momiji (maple) leaves, especially memorable when lit up at night.

It wouldn't be beautiful something like that?

A funny thing that I've thinking with this role HeadCannon history is a interaction between Sasuke and Sai. Before leaving konoha with Taka, Sai give a book for him as a gift to help him with his new emotions 😬 and it would be a really nice interaction between them.

THH Teacher Au📚📝

This AU is mainly ishimondo focused because obviously it is, but it involves (almost) the whole cast of THH! Not all of them are teachers, but they all work together for the same middle-high school.

There’s a lot of fine details I could give away but I’m just gonna start with everyone’s subject!

Sayaka - Former idol, turned performing arts teacher. Her specialty is singing and dance lessons, and she sometimes gets recognised by the younger mothers at parent-teacher conferences.

Leon - The cool music teacher. The students love him because he doesn’t believe in homework, even though he keeping plugging his Soundcloud.

Mukuro - Gym teacher. They also teach martial arts as an extra curricular.

Chihiro - IT teacher. She still works on her programming in her spare time since she doesn’t have a whole lot of grading.

Mondo - Fine art and woodwork teacher. He applied for a gym teacher position. He was unsuccessful.

Taka - Principal! He taught politics and sociology before he was promoted, but took a mysterious leave of absence shortly after. He’s back and Totally Well Adjusted Now :)

Celestia - One of the two characters who are technically not teachers. She works on the school board and often observes classes to judge teachers’ performances. Everyone is terrified of her.

Sakura - Gym teacher. She was pursuing a career in competitive martial arts, but changed her mind for unknown reasons. She stayed in the job after falling in love with another gym teacher.

Hiro - Religious and Spiritual Studies. His teaching style is unorthodox but surprisingly effective! He is also the school guidance counsellor.

Hina - The third gym teacher. She won gold on the Japanese Olympic swim team, and retired to inspire kids to do the same! She stayed in the job after falling in love with another gym teacher.

Toko - Literature teacher. The students adore her work and she hates discussing it with them because they never understand the prose or the characterisation.

Syo - She doesn’t work here. They can’t get her to leave.

Byakuya - Also works on the board with Celestia. The school is owned and funded by the Togami Corporation so he feels it is his responsibility to oversee the day to day events. He is immensely controlling and Taka can’t stand it.

Kyoko - Forensic science and criminology. Her father was a school principal so she’s always had an interest in teaching. She feels it’s a more noble pursuit than her original plan to go into law enforcement.

Makoto - Math and Statistics! He kind of fell into the job, no one can even remember when he was hired, but the staff adore him. He’s great at encouraging students who despair over math.

Junko - Textiles! She’s super passionate about making and designing clothes, and loves putting together outfits for her coworkers. She can be a little bitchy but it comes from a good place. She really does want what’s best for the school!

Some ramblings about my 10 years in the future/Cressilda au (Passionflameshipping/kurocal au)

This is stuff that happened within the span of 10 years, it's a long post so I'll put it under read more!:

Kuro is the champion (obviously)

Cal still does humanitarian work much like in the champion Shelly future, but not as often as he has other stuff in the region to do too. He is co-sensei for Apophyll Academy and has once again become the fire type gym leader, his gym resides on top of Pyrous Mountain. If he ever has to leave the region of humanitarian work he has Bennett or Charlotte take over.

Cal and Kuro got engaged and married 5 years after the events of postgame

Cressilda (their child) was conceived/born 9 years into their relationship (might change some details about this).

Blake has adopted a child named Mika while in Johto for business, no one knows if he legally adopted him or if he kidnapped him. No one asks any questions. He is the director of the Lapis Ward's orphanage and has regained his position as the ice type leader. He uses the Orphanage as his gym, but has had a special field installed that can change into whatever field is selected, he also uses this for the kids there so they can learn battling. If he ever has to leave the region for any overseas adoption business Lumi or Charlotte takes over the gym for him. Saphira or Heather take over his position as director in his absence.

Kuro's E4 now consists of Heather, Noel (Anna takes over in his absence whenever he goes overseas for art related business), Eve + Zero and Charlotte. (Info on their teams and fields will be brought up later in the post.)

Elias owns a bar now and hangs out with Luna a lot more, Bennett and Laura have retired and live the same life as in the Champion Shelly future.

Anna is now the Psychic gym leader and Taka (Zekrom route) has become the normal type which was supposed to be temporary but he seemed to enjoy it and performed really well.

Ace is the reserve Psychic leader and Lumi is the reserve ice leader.

Taka, Elias, Luna and Ace preserve a lot of Reborn's history.

Kuro and Cal have a house (or mansion I guess) build in route 1 which has a dome as well as a portal to the new world where all of their pokemon can walk around freely.

Lin lived with Terra's parents again for a little while, but eventually moved into Onyx's school dorms as she became a student there. After graduating she moved to Agate City so she'd be close to Terra.

Both Noel and Anna live with Radomus, Luna has an apartment of her own but often sleeps over at Radomus's, Serra's and Elias's places.

Taka and Ace live together in Obsidia ward, Lumi travels the world often but lives with Eve in Ametrine. Zero moved in with them.

Charlotte has turned her old gym into a place to live (while still holding the battle field there) and has an apartment in Spinel Town so she lives close with Laura still. Saphira lives in Labradorra and Laura lives in the Belrose mansion with Bennett (They're married.)

Most other things are the same as the Champion Shelly future.

Kuro's E4 info:

Heather's trainer class, pokemon and field stays the same as currently, she is still the first person you fight.

At first she took the position as ice leader when Serra retired after wanting to focus on modeling again. However not long after Bennett wanted to retire too, and Kuro asked her to join. She said she didn't mind, but had no idea how to mix her now two typings together.

At some points Cal explained to her that when Blake had him come along to inspect something weird that happened in Ametrine's core a while after the events from the Heatran class that the field helped out both Fire and Ice types without the two of them clashing.

She had the two of them go with her to try it out and they helped her when she decided she wanted this for her field. She then also insisted that they become the new Fire and Ice leader, they were given little room to protest.

Anna uses the same field as her dad, although her team and strategy is slightly different.

Taka I'm still unsure of how his team works. He uses his Chatot and Komoala though. I might go for Holy Field and since the Sanctum is still around in Zekrom route I might place his gym there?

Anna's trainer class is still the same, Taka's and Ace's I'm unsure of still, Cal is still Reborn and Blake will become Orphanage Director probably. He switches his field from Snowy Mountain Field to Icy Field to keep trainers on their toes.

3. how do the other characters generally feel about your self-insert? - I like to think that Adriana is quite well-liked! Her role in helping the player face Team Meteor, as well as her ability as a Trainer in managing to acquire all eighteen gym badges of the Reborn League (eventually also taking the role of Shadow Champion, which arguably makes her the second-strongest Trainer in the region!), do probably endear her to the people who know about her, even if she doesn’t know them directly herself. I would argue that she probably only gets actively close to the entire main cast once the postgame begins, because of working more closely alongside them all for Anomaly hunting - and also because I’m still not 100% sure which events she’s personally present for. I really need to work that out. But, I do think she’s the type of person who’s difficult to dislike, except to the type of person who thinks Ghost-type specialists are creepy and weird by default.

10. how do the other characters feel about your self-insert and F/O’s relationship? - Again, I like to think that people are in favour of it ^-^ it’s very clear to those who know us how much we care about each other, and have done for a while (Charlotte and I think also Shelly and the twins watching Adri read Luna’s letter in Calcenon springs to mind). Additionally, while I don’t doubt that some people think Luna is a bit weird, she manages to occupy a good niche where most people who know her don’t know she grew up in Team Meteor, and those who do know that are the people she grew up with (for example, Taka and later Ace), so they are already close with her. So, again, nobody really has much of any reason to not support it, right?

(I actually feel like fewer people in the general public would know much about the relationship than you might expect, simply because neither Luna nor Adriana are particularly.. exuberant? in terms of personality. So, those who have spent a lot of time around either one of us will be well aware of how much we love each other, and.. actually, I can imagine Adriana bringing up Luna if Gossip Gardevoir ever does an interview with her - but at the same time we’re both very private people, so not many events or details would be very well-known in a widespread sense.)

I hope that these answers were alright, friend! Writing them out has given me a lot of things to think about, so that’s fun. Thank you very much again for the opportunity~

I'm staying as anon because i'm already in a lot of fear about the drama going down on Art fight right now... I don't like beefsen. I don't like airr and i sure as hell don't like Takaia. I'm not trying to say their evil but i think Takaia needs to be upfront with what's going on with all the money from donates. and I think beef and airr need to be better admins. Hack, i don't really like how all three of them are buddies i feel some dirty blood is all over art fight now because of what has happen. Staff, mods and members are hurt, upset and just want things to be fair for all. Like no hate to anyone involved. I don't wish harm on the owner and their friends i just wish they would do a better job and i wish Taka was more responsible. I feel so bad for those who work so hard to keep art fight going to all the staff and mods even those who step down, you're al l amazing! and to all the members who are doing their best, keep going! We should do our best to support those in need during this and enjoy the last week of art fight because the ones who truly care about the site and server do more then the owner. Its those people who are the reason art fight happens every year. The mods and staff have been nothing but kind hearted people who just want to enjoy this event every year and all members as well too. even the support team too! all these people are the reason why art fight is amazing i truly hate to see something so amazing be taken away because of the selfish owner and whoever else has been causing trouble along side with them. As i said, i don't want to think their evil but their using their power for themselves and not seeing why so many of us are upset.

The problem is obviously the author's really big issue with implementing everyone and their writing quality but it doesn't have anything to do with stealing the spotlight from the new generation.

I don't know if you've noticed but there are a lot less characters than before, and a lot less compared to other monthly manga, so being a story that is published slowly they'd have to speed up the pacing and bring out as many characters as possible.

It's true, and they already said it in an interview, that Boruto's popularity is not even half as big as Naruto's and what they try to do is to implement elements of Naruto in Boruto for nostalgia (I attach the link https://twitter.com/UzuRepo/status/1726231435290485190 it's the tweet but inside there's the interview).

They know that the story doesn't move if they don't add Sasuke and Naruto, and Kakashi and Sakura. So they try to appeal to their fans but forget about the fans of Sakura and Kakashi, knowing that Sakura has the most dedicated fandom and the first to sell out events, therefore there is more demand for her and the fans complain; and Kakashi is the most popular character.

There is no need to focus on them, but at least show what they do and what role they play because the Hokage is Naruto and his entourage are the two of them. Sakura is known to be the Head of the Medical Department, medical teacher, main healer and directs Konoha Hospital, but she never appears. And Kakashi is Naruto's predecessor who is treated as a useless old man despite being in his prime and being a political figure who can help Naruto.

And all this knowing that in the new generation there are few children. Boruto, Sarada, Mitsuki, Kawaki, Shikadai, Chocho, and Inojin with Sumire. That's 8. Metal Lee is completely forgotten and Himawari can hardly be considered at the moment. The equivalents of the Sand Siblings of Sunagakure are not used. There is no equivalent of Kiba, Shino, Neji or Tenten.

They used to be 16 with Sai. A huge difference.

Not to mention that Tsunade, Jiraiya, Kakashi, Asuma, Ibiki were implemented, there was Team Taka and the enemies were Akatsuki whose members were many. We saw every parent fight with their kid or alone, something we don't see now because the parent generation has been replaced by NPCs.

Oh, of course. It is important to keep in mind that the new generation can't fill the roles of adults.

There is no one who can replace Sakura as a healing hand because the story doesn't take place outside the village and she's irreplaceable in all aspects, compared to before when she was the medical face of the manga replacing Tsunade. The Intelligence Department isn't used even though Amado should've been interrogated. Shikadai never takes the role of tactician so Shikamaru does everything even though right now he isn't proactive and his only job is receive messages. The barrier team is automatic and in battle it's useless.

In other words, the author does not know how to harmonize, they don't know how to balance the new generation and the popular generation.

And I support the fans of such memorable characters as Kakashi and Sakura from a lack of respect and ignorance towards them, especially Sakura for being right now one of the few, if not the only one, who cannot be replaced and the destruction of Konoha is looming. The only one who can save the village is her so start introducing her now again or she's gonna be a random in the story after so much has happened and she hasn't taken part.

The problem is obviously the author's really big issue with implementing everyone and their writing quality but it doesn't have anything to do with stealing the spotlight from the new generation.

I didn't say that it did. All I said was that if Kakashi and Sakura were to be given more attention, I wouldn't want it to be done in a way which would detract from the focus given to the new generation. And given the series' poor track record with its focus distribution, that is a scenario which has a decent chance of happening.

Let's see what happens, but as I said, I personally don't feel as though their absence detracts from what is currently going on.

everytime i return to my sns hours all i can think about is naruto and sasuke traveling together post ending, after trying to live in the village but they just cant for all the obvious reasons. sasuke can't sit still and even though he conceded at the end of their fight he hasn't changed his mind in that the world /needs/ a revolution. it takes a while and alot of fighting and denial on narutos part most of the time leading to one of them bursting out the door in anger not being able to take conversations anymore lack of conversation, but naruto eventually allows himself an ounce of honesty that the villages obsession with him ushering naruto onto a pedestal of being a hero and beelining him to be the future hokage sakura pushing him towards hinata the death cost of the war the continued treatment towards sasuke. it all pains him, a cruel mix of ptsd trauma and depression ontop of rage and anger after what his family has gone through, he has gone through, sasuke, and everyone else he's met along the way that have been orphaned or treated wrong by the shinobi world.

so they eventually agree to leave because konoha is exhausting and claustrophobic to say the least, with a quickstop at nekobaas to get properly set up with material, but also mentally prepare before truly leaving. nekobaa and her apprentice both give them some tips of neighboring places that may be looked past by the other villages that they can look into for money and lodging should they want it, and thats the way naruto and sasuke exist for a while. taking odd jobs, protecting innocents from other desperate or vile induvials looking to get on top with the new changes swirling around. months stretch into a year or so and of course they fall in open love, naruto pondering and feeling guilt of being away from home for so long, but he gets anxious over falling into the mix of expectations again, and sasuke keeps him up. the closest they ever go back to konoha again is maybe to visit gaara.

i'd imagine from time to time team taka comes along on their journey. deep down naruto and sasuke bitterly thinking that things couldve been like this maybe. not separated and working together earlier on. but they don't dwell on it for now and over the course of one meetup karin and naruto whove been hitting it off through their lineage start gossiping over uzushio and this basically turns into my excuse of naruto and sasuke settling down at the whirlpool ruins, taka included. i want to imagine they turn it into a place of respite for those who may have been displaced during the war - most of those individuals being ones crawling out of hiding being descendants of the uzumaki and other orphans. its a beautiful sanctuary and a spearhead for naruto and sasukes plans of creating widespread change, from dismantling shinobi programs to train child soldiers, publicizing history starting with the destruction of uzushio and the uchiha etc etc your basics.

im iffy on there being also being a few uchiha stragglers - survivors who had left konoha in secret. im sure konoha would not allow or even the clan head allowing individuals to leave the village in order to keep them all in one place/together. but i can buy some people making it out wanting a life away, but after the massacre events living in secret as normal civilians, only coming out of hiding post war after hearing about the sanctuary being built for another clan and being assisted by the infamous sasuke.

ALSO. i think naruto would be fierce in fighting for jinchuuriki and what the world has done to the tailed beast and their hosts alike. extremely determined to protect them and mourning not only his family but another one he never got to know with the other hosts. i can see bee stopping by uzushio as a sort of second home and them bonding and training more in a way that sasuke cant even understand. i think it would def help naruto build upon his own independent identity. honestly idr canons comments on the jinchuurikis fate but i think it would be the sweetest thing if the beasts came across individuals they connected to that they could find their own hosts and they would come to uzushio to train with nar and bee.

im gonna shut up now this is the most self indulgent au trying to cram 92852837 things in it at once. tldr. sasuke and naruto are in love and after a while and deep into their healing process they start their own family and have 2 daughters.

time always gets really weird in long running mangas, and it gets hard to notice how little time has actually passed in the story. you get so caught up in the time it takes you irl to read it, or you follow if for years when it was serialized, that you kind of just start projecting longer time frames than is actually happening. and the mangakas do that too which doesnt help! once you get ahold of the passage of time again, character relationships can start to feel weird, like not unbelievably weird, but weird enough to make you doubt them a bit. a lot of naruto fans view the original team 7 as being very close in part 1 but when you step back and look at it, between team 7 forming and sasuke leaving the village is like 6 months, and 3 of those months barely count because they weren't even working together. sasuke spends more than a year with taka in the manga and youre telling me the bonds he has with naruto and sakura are more meaningful to him than them? at least in bleach, ichigo knew chad and orihime before the events of the manga, but ichigo and rukia only knew each other for a couple months before she was taken back to the soul society, and even though they barely know her, orihime, chad and uryu all want to go with him to save her? uryu literally starts hanging out with them after ichigo meets rukia. the entirety of part 1 from ichigo becoming a shinigami to defeating aizen takes place over 6 months. oda has this problem where he hates having time pass without drawing it, so the first part of one piece takes place over 3-6 months, if i'm being generous. and it's been 2 months max since the straw hats entered the new world which is bonkers! i love their friendships and the way they've all bonded, but at the same time i'm like how do you have so much faith and trust in people you've spent more time away from in the past 3 years than with? luffy barely knew sabo for a year when he thought he died? i know a lot of these stories are action/adventure and the characters are often in danger together so i get why that might force them to bond more quickly, but i'm left wondering how much more natural some of these relationships would feel if they'd been allowed to have implied development outside of the story. and i do get why they often don't because that wastes panel space, but i still want it. it's super interesting when you compare these stories to shows that have mostly self-contained episodes with season arcs because the passage of time and the relationships feel so much more natural. my favourite example is leverage because all of the characters do things together outside of the what we actually see in the episodes, like they'll reference jobs that we don't see them do, or conversations that happen offscreen. and obviously i know why there is such a stark difference between them for stylistic, genre and contextual reasons, overall structure of the narrative, industry standards and restrictions, editorial oversight, like i get it, i understand. but it would be nice, you know? i always love thinking about the empty spaces an author leaves in their own story
