Rule of thumb if you're thinking about raising a clone army or whatnot is you should only do it if you're excited about hanging out with your clones as people. If you are, then your clones will also be happy to be there and you won't have any problems. The mistake people make is, they want to raise a clone army and treat their clones as expendable subordinates, and guess what? The clones are going to know this. And since they're you, they're also going to want to be on top of the pecking order, and that's how you get clone revolts. This is why clone armies fail. Everyone who tries to raise a clone army thinks of it as a hierarchy from the get-go, when you should be thinking of it as a friend group.

Which is why I am here today, asking for funding to complete my cloning vats,

#THIS IS VAL !!!! dubbed her as a he/she er..#I have lore about this guy and his homeplanet Amore and the Lovebugs..#all that’s really important to know is that ive based the worldbuilding for Amore around svtfoe’s mewni #design wise mostly. I’ll emphasize.#in terms of the societal parts of Amore the kingdom kinda flourishes in the arts of all sorts and trade within the kingdom it goes crazay…#they were pretty closed off from the rest of the galaxy though. like their tech and stuff is pretty outdated compared to most of the other-#planets with atleast escape ships and all that fun stuff.#foreshadowing #ANYHOW lovebugs are silly guys I think of them as like weird hedonistic freaks of sorts #they have very big dionysus worshipping energy to them just to give a perspective #and of course they prioritized relationships and the different forms of love #romance actually wasn’t even the big thing that built the kingdom #it was more like a love for community and friends #which is also kinda silly because of the monarchy aspect to Amore and all that #OH ALSO these guys go absolutely crazy with fashion and makeup. gender isn’t a major thing in the kingdom in my eyes #you WILL serve cunt!! /silly #WORLDBUILDING ASIDEEE Val was the prince to the kingdom and was set to be the heir to the throne #the designs are like three different route ideas ive had for Val #the first is just a baseline design so like. pre amore‘s destruction from dominator #the second is like a good ending design of sorts to my ideal lineup for a season three for woy with val continuing to embrace the lovebugs-#history and culture even with Amore gone and a good portion of her people #and the third. is a bit hard to describe because it’s more of an au but it’s just a concept idea I had of Val teaming up with Dom #(it would be short lived like probably a few months max so dw)#and silly note i joked about the idea of val being an ex to peepers BUT I WANNA DEVELOP THAT MORE BEFORE I SHARE.#tap into that this may be cringe but i am free mindset or something slash silly TEEHEE #BUT YEAH Val’s just a silly gal in my heart and soul no matter what. ive missed her a lot i wanna work on fics with him and especially to-#develop more stuff for Amore and the Lovebugs before Dominator’s destruction of the planet #BUT YEAH i wanna Val post more. go into depth for their dynamic with the other characters and all that #I may cook some more stuff with him once I get these stargazing fics all set and whatnot SO WE’LL SEE!#also /nf but if anyone would wanna ask questions about val/amore/lovebugs ask away I’d love to answer any questions! 🥺

Something I wish we’d seen more of is Tech’s immediate emotional reaction to having a kid on board- we saw Echo having reservations and Wrecker not being used to it but very quickly making an effort to make Omega feel welcome but what about Tech? We know he believes that as a soldier he has to adapt so presumably that would have been his mindset but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t have had feelings about it

#Was he worried about having a kid on board like echo? Did he have the same ‘she’s a clone and therefore one of us’ mindset as hunter?#Late night thoughts sorry if this is all over the place #He’s clearly somewhat protective of her in season 1 and it was cute to see her act as his assistant. Tech being a natural teacher is nice #i just wish we’d had some acknowledgment of his emotions regarding having to adapt to such a big change so suddenly. Even just one line

it's a bit sad to me when folks cram relativity falls!dipper into an exact ford role of being a genius scientist who becomes a sci fi hero character

#in my rf hc post i've been procrastinating on for the past. like. half year. he's basically an ex x files character lol #and was in town laying low after leaving the department of coverups #and he left behind tapes and conspiracy boards that the kids find #i also imagine the portal being more magic based vs canon's tech based #(also in my version of the au mabel is doing double duty by pretending to be both of them and giving the kids a complete wrong idea of him)#(something something that they gradually drifted apart after dipper taking the agent offer vs the stan twins having a giant fight)#like it's important to me that dipper is seen as 'smart' from studying pretty hard for it cos he uses it to get validation #(mostly cos i grew up having the biggest ego at school and it all came crashing down later on when i simply couldnt understand anymore lol)#(also i had a complex about looking ignorant so i lied about knowing stuff i had absolutely no clue about)#there's also the difference of ford falling into the 'don't trust anyone' mindset after being betrayed after blindly trusting bill #and (to him) being betrayed by stan twice #while dipper is kinda skeptical and cautious of other by default #but then again that's why he took nwhs so badly cos he ended up trusting stan despite knowing he's a lying con artist #folks cramming mabel into stan's role 1 to 1 is also meh #....the shooting star fez bugs me the most tho adkhsadkjha #let her keep her own sense of style!!#tldr the rf stan twins start vlogging and using conspiracy boards to do cons and heists i guess

Do you think Matt's blindness has to do with him not really grasping the fact his videotapes got leaked?

hello, nonny. i take all asks in as good faith as possible. but i feel the need to note that the way you worded this can be easily interpreted as infantalizing and therefore ableist.

I'm going to interpret this as you asking: how do you think Matt's disability interacts with how he experienced this situation? and do you think it has to do with why the severity of the leak wasn't properly addressed?

I don't see why it would. except that this does make me think of Matt's whole "sometimes I'm glad I can't see things cause then I'd actually be afraid" line. but I really don't see Matt taking it lightly, especially since the videos featured Kirsten.

this is kind of an interesting thing to think about because of the way the age Matt was blinded interacts with what generation he's (currently) a part of. he would've been blinded before digital cameras/videos and the internet were really big. so in THAT context, I'm sure he'd have a skewed concept of the situation.

but I still don't think he'd have any problem grasping how serious it is. he's obviously familiar w cameras and the internet and all that, it's relevant to his career in a pretty big way as well.

maybe it'd make it easier to not think about but I have a feeling that Matt would've done something to have those more intimate moments removed in as much of a capacity as possible. he'd have the connections to do that pretty thoroughly

I think the reason it wasn't better addressed is because Matt had a LOT more going on at the time. there wasn't really time to process everything. and it wouldn't have been as big of a deal after his identity as daredevil was erased. I'd imagine it'd still impact his career, though, along with Kirsten's. especially Kirsten’s. and I think Matt would be more concerned about her than himself (especially since the reason it happened was because of him) but I'm getting off topic

to answer ur question, no. not really. i think the lack of his opinion had much more to do with the severity of other elements of the situation. Matt had relatively more important things to worry about. and let's not forget the fact that daredevil writers are cowards who rarely want to properly deal w Matt's trauma

#it sounds like ur saying 'matt cant understand [thing] because hes blind' which is. a concerning mindset.#matts blindness has nothing to do with his ability to comprehend the seriousness of a situation #its never said that matt doesnt grasp the situation. it was just NEVER addressed.#which is disappointing from a readers context because i think waid was trying to highlight how dangerous tech and the internet can be #but he didnt address the smaller things. which can be understandable. he only has so many panels and issues.#and he needed to make sure the rest of his story had time to make sense #but i could also understand nonny interpreting matt not addressing it as him not processing it fully #daredevil comics #ren replies #mark waid #long post #kinda #tw ableism #<- just in case
