I LOVE THIS BOY

This was the first version of Leatherhead I've ever seen and while I love ALL versions... Yeah, no this one's the best one, I take no arguments or exceptions lmao.

I'm legit pissed we were robbed of a Rise LH because I feel, in general as a whole he's not utilized ENOUGH.

Especially 03 LH.

This boy, is literally the turtles big brother? He shares a direct origin with them, with the Utroms!

Like, seriously you know what? We got to see Turtle Tots, where was my "Baby LH?" I doubt he mutated to an adult already.

I really wish we had gotten a chance to see his life actually growing up with them, as family because I can only imagine.

The way he re-finds himself, after that loss, thanks to the guys and especially with how fast they went,

"BIG BROTHER? BIG BROTHER?! OURS NOW!" collecting sibling figures like pokemon trainers on route 1. I love how, the writers leaned wholly into his role both as a combatant and an intellectual. He's not afraid to defend himself... or acknowledge, there's even limitations to his own prowess.

I always loved reptiles as a kid, like I was the kid who was always tuned into animal planet and stuff, so getting into this show, ALREADY LOVING REPTILES? And then THIS GUY APPEARS?

Big crocodile man?

YES?

Plus, my first introduction to TMNT was Good Genes which featured him quite heavily, so he's always been a favorite of mine, due to that memory. His bond with the guys, especially Donnie is just so darn sweet and seriously, we needed just more of this guy in general. I love how Master Splinter just readily accepts him as another kid, his boys brouught home for him.

"Ah yes, my sixth son, the crocodile. 4 turtle sons, a caveman son and a crocodile son."

As a whole I just adore this guy!!!

Also, I HATE HIS BACK TO THE SEWERS DESIGNS massive downgrade L level downgrade. DEAR GOD

ALso, Fast Forward season 2 was supposed to show that he lived that long? That he was STILL AROUND? (And given the oldest on record was a whopping 122 years old? I think a mutant with access to tech to keep himself healthy, would absolutely be still around. Frankly, I'm stunned FF season 1 didn't have him as at least a DECENT ADULT for Cody to be around. (Then again if Leatherhead saw Darius Dunn HOLY SHIT he'd be dead...)

TMNT Character Ranking Ask Game: Raphael

Hhh you gave me the hardest one right of the bat-

So what I'm gonna say this is more of my ranking of the red banded turtle, there might be few missing so bear with me, haha.

(don't get me wrong I love all Raphs, I just rank them how I view them)

1. 2003 and 2012 Raph

I can't decide which one I like the most, or more like relate to at this point. 03 Raph is the one I grew up with and 12 Raph grew on me while watching the series, I love these boys (and they live rent free in my head a lot)

2. Rise, 2007, 87 Raph

These three goobers sometimes live rent free in my head (but not that often than 03 or 12), I like them in their own ways. They are unique I guess.

3. Bayverse Raph/Turtles take time and space Raph

This guy was so good at the movies/short and somehow.. relatable I guess? I can't remember, it's been a hot minute since I last saw those movies or that short? So much guessing haha.

4. Batman vs tmnt Raph

His whole speech about family sold me. He is maybe looking rough around the edges but he was good character imo plus I liked the movie as well

5. Mutant mayhem Raph

I have nothing against this guy, he just isn't present much in my head or in general I guess. He is still a good character and I like him. I liked the movie too

What are the Lair Games, and how can I join?

Lair Games is an art battling event hosted by and for TMNT fans. We first hosted our event in 2023 on Twitter, but this year we've expanded to other social medias.

The event runs for two weeks in June. This year, we're starting on June 9th. Before the event starts, all players will be placed on one of two teams. During the event, you gain points for your team by drawing the TMNT OCs belonging to players on the other team! You can also draw characters on your own team with a 50% point decrease.

The purpose of the Lair Games is to celebrate the wonderful creative characters made by TMNT fans! It is, above all, an event to create artwork and share OCs, through a bit of friendly competition.

So, how do I sign up?

Firstly, have any of these social medias: Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, TikTok, or Discord. The Discord server (follow this link if you'd like to join) is the most active community space for Lair Games, but any one of them is fine!

Next, join a team! The theme this year is Comics vs Cartoons, and you can sign up at any time before or during the runtime of the event. If you can't choose a team, our team can place you on one of the teams ourselves. Follow this link to sign up!

Once you've chosen your team, be sure to share your TMNT OCs using the team templates we've posted, and have somewhere for others to view your characters. Use the tag #Lair Games 2024 when you post!

If you want to make sure the official account sees and reblogs your Lair Games posts, feel free to @ us! We try to check the tag regularly, but it's possible we may miss something.

If you've done all that, then you're free to sit back and wait for the event to start! At 12pm EST on Sunday, June 9th, we will officially start the 2024 Lair Games. We'll post another google form, where you can submit your attacks and get your team some points!
