Any advice for a new sysparent of a natalgenic kid? A baby was just born today (May 14 at 11:45pm) and idk what to do. Idk who the parents are or anything, but a baby just.. appeared. This has never happened to me before

Find someone able and willing to take care of them since you are not. It doesn't need to be the parents, just anyone willing to take on that role. And try not to panic Too Much because a Lot less can go wrong in-sys

Can I get some advice as a new sysparent? My first ever natalgenic baby was born, I don't even know who was pregnant, how, or why, but a baby just formed tonight and I'm kind of scared. I don't know what to do. How do I handle this? I'm the only person who ever fronts and I'm not even 20 yet I'm not ready for a baby

If I had to give any advice I'd highly highly suggest trying to reach out to other headmates to find out not only who the parents are but to find some form of guardian. Maybe they can take the baby out of front.

You shouldn't have to take care of them if you don't want too, and I wish you the best!

genuinely curious here, mostly because i want to learn how other systems aside from us came to discover it - how did y'all first come around to the idea of being plural, if you're comfy sharing? how did you first have that feeling of "hey, it might not just be me up here"? :0

This is a bit of a loaded question, actually! I'll start from here, though:

I first figured out I was plural because my partner, @shattersharde-collective, is also a system!

A little bit of a backstory goes here. While the two of us have been talking for going on 6 years at this point, we just recently moved in together. When we moved in together, he started kind of telling me about his own system and how it worked for him.

I'll make it known now that before this, I had no idea that plurality was a thing. I had heard of DID before (and I was genuinely intrigued by it and was researching into it for a good while), but I hadn't heard of being plural or OSDD or systems or anything like that. He told me a lot about his own experience generally. Over the course of a few months, I started to get thinking, "hey, this sounds... like what I go through in a sense."

After a while, I went up to him and said, "hey. Can you tell me a little more about what your personal experience is?" He proceeded to tell me that everyone's experience is different, but told me what he goes through to give me a better idea.

While I pretty much confirmed that I was, in fact, a system at that point, I still had doubt in myself. I declared that I wasn't going to call myself a system just yet, and that I was simply going to refer to myself as plural.

Once a little time passed, I started to call myself a system, because... I am! And I'm much more confident in us now!

Going a bit further, I'm a little surprised I didn't accept myself as a system sooner. I mean- Micah fully frontrd with my partner at one point. I don't know what I thought that was, I assumed that was normal, I guess?

Also, I've since thought about myself as a kid and how I literally described my plurality to my papa at one point. I think someone was co-fronting or fully-fronting, and then my papa asked me something, and I kind of came back to front. I guess I was acting much like the fictive who was fronting at the time, and mayne he was questioning that or commenting on it? Assuming I was just,,, playing pretend. And I vividly remember being like, "No, you don't understand. I feel like I am [insert fictive here]." And bro looked at me like I was crazy lmao

But yeah! It all came together because of my partner! Otherwise, I don't think I would have ever discovered what plurality or being a system was. I would have continued to have just felt like this was... a normal thing to experience jbnfjb

It was as if they were true opposites, the angelic appearing twin was radiant, pale white without even a mark upon his skin, his hair soft and just as white, his eyes iridescent and catching all different colours in the light, he looked incomprehensibly perfect. But the twisted twin looked sickly, sickly grey skin tainted black around his limbs and lips along with scales and thick tufts of fur, his hair black and wild; his face twisted as his fangs grew like tusks no lips to speak and purely teeth. His fingers ripped in claws and he seemed to ooze shadows as even his eyes were darker than anything, no darkness more unending than that of what was reflected in his eyes that were mostly hidden from under his hair.

Yet despite their differences in an almost irony they shared a twins mind, they didn’t need to speak aloud to have conversations, they shared the same touches and felt each other’s pains. They shared an existences in more than just flesh, and so the distress that came from their unique circumstances became unbearable. They both weren’t sure how long it was, as whilst the radiant twin was put to sleep to prevent damage and the parasitic was tortured by being awake and feeling every instance of being cut away before he was thrown to the floor. He shook choking curling up, wheezing as the east isn’t twin was rushed out to be fixed up, to be made wholly perfect again.

He only had one arm as his growth strangely twisted as he had grown from their back like a shadow, a devil on the shoulder almost, whilst he had a leg and then one less formed leg he had spines down his back and having been cut away he was left to wither and die. When Izzy rushed to him he cried terrified, trying to shield himself from more pain before he cried out as his wounds were frozen, he wheezed and spat out more black blood a long bone tail trying to move but it had been partially severed to stop his struggle and risk to the doctors. He was struggling to stay conscious as Izzy set up the IV drips and he just looked at her his breath growling and deep, long scaley ears lowered as he whined, he was scared and didn’t know what was going to happen.

She'd been captured and sent off to a facility that supposedly treated people like her. With her body still broken from years at the sprawl she didn't have the energy to fight. The first three months seemed to fly by in a drug infused haze as they kept her bedbound and complacent. But something happened and she didn't understand what it had been until her mind cleared and she could think again. Stirring and in pain she looked around and saw all her IVs had somehow burst. Ripping the tubes from her arms she struggled out of bed to try and remember where she was. Finding medical supplies left behind, as if someone had left in a hurry, she patched herself up so she wouldn't bleed out. Shaking her head she found the door to her room unlocked.

Creeping down the halls she could hear people panicking and yelling from somewhere deep in the hospital. Was this a hospital? Ducking into one of the rooms she found a dataport and hacked in to find out what she could. Aside from her own files she found a black card file and curiosity bit at her. Reading it she was in shock. The saint of Unitology was here but they weren't what she was expecting. The saint himself looked almost angelic but he had what looked like another person growing out of him. They called it a parasitic twin but from what she could see it looked more like a second person just didn't fully seperate. Like twins melted together in some kind of experiment. But the second twin looked wrong and twisted. They planned to cut them apart and repair the saint but there was no record of what they were going to do to the poor twin. Parasitic or not they deserved a life too.

Finding where they were doing the surgery she took off down the halls. Still weakened from her own healing injuries she had to use her dads psyops training to stay hidden. It seemed they'd already performed the surgery and had rushed the saint off to plastic surgery so he would continue to look perfect for them. Pushing into the room she smelled blood and heard someone choking. Running over she found what was left of the other twin on the ground bleeding out. Doing what she could she froze his wounds so they would stop bleeding until she could close them up. Hands shaking her stitches weren't straight but they held. Starting an IV she gave him pain medicine and nonhuman blood like his file had specified. Tears streaming down her cheeks she just started shaking. "Ya didn't fuckin deserve any a that."

Howdy! We have a system and a collective name, because we couldn't choose just one (we're indecisive). Our System name is The Tron System, because our core/main host, Shatter, is autistic and his special interest is Tron. It just so happened to line up that in Tron: Legacy, the (computer) system is called The Tron System, and he thought it would be funny if he named us that.

But not everyone likes that name, because not everyone is a Tron introject. Some shards aren't even introjects, and don't want to be associated with an introject based name because it makes them feel unserious. Plus everyone we've met has had such a cool system/collective name and some of us felt jealous!

So Shatter (who originally went by W here) decided to think on a new name. He decided that Shatter was a good place to start since he feels we're more of shards of broken glass or fragments. That worked out perfectly, because he likes the sound of the name Sharde, so we became The ShatterSharde Collective!

How did you pick your system theme? :)

My special interest is Tron (the disney franchise) and 80s tech in general. I have a hard time putting my finger on what is "me", but... old technand Tron stuff had always been there. So I made my theme around that!

The name, Shattersharde, is a reference to how my alters feel more like shattered pieces of me that created something new out of what they had. Sharde is spelled like that because in middleschool I had an oc named DemonSharde which I thought was the coolest name ever, so it's a callback to that
