One of my favourite examples when talking about how well Wilson and House know each other, is the episode where Wilson becomes convinced that House has a gun. The fact that Wilson even knows House has a gun in the first place shows how much they know each other. But in the episode, they both trick each other and Wilson breaks into House's apartment and House tries to stop Wilson, but eventually Wilson outsmarts him and ends up going through House's apartment and everything he owns, all while House is insistent that he does not own a gun.

And then, at the end, Wilson pulls up to House's office, brandishing the gun, going, "Ah ha! I knew it." And House rolls his eyes and tells Wilson it's fake and Wilson doesn't believe him, and House eventually hands him back the gun and tells him to shoot him. So Wilson is standing there holding a gun with House encouraging and trying to goad him into shooting him to prove that it's fake. Eventually, Wilson gives up and gives House back the gun and concedes. And then, at the end, it's revealed that the gun was real, and House's bluff was to try to get Wilson to shoot him with a loaded gun as a way to earn his trust.

This is such a good example because I feel like it wouldn't have worked the way it did with anyone else. House was betting his life on how well he knows Wilson, he was so sure that Wilson wouldn't risk shooting him even with a fake gun, that he handed him a loaded weapon and tried to convince Wilson to shoot him. He only did that because he knew Wilson wouldn't. Wilson, on the other hand, knows House well enough to know that he definitely had a gun, and there was always a chance that it was real even if House said it wasn't. He took the gun with that knowledge and refused to do what House was encouraging him to do. He knew House well enough to know that House knew him well enough that there's a chance he'd pull a bluff like this. And so Wilson didn't risk it. They know each other so well that House can hand a loaded gun to Wilson, convince him it's fake, tell Wilson to shoot him, and then be secure in the knowledge that he's not in danger because Wilson wouldnt do it.

I feel like 90% of the characters would've just shot him because they fell for it and wouldn't have believed House would pull something like that. And I don't think House would've pulled that with anyone but Wilson.

I fucking love scar cause his strength is his charisma and that by default people don't take him too seriously,

he's not known to be sly and cunning like grian- the way that he does his salesman thing is that everyone knows that they are going to get scammed and he's not trying to convince them that it's not a scam, he's trying to convince them that buying into his pitch will be funny

That's also why him and grian work so well together because his usual bravado is also a perfect distraction because grian being near scar especially when their share a healthbar isn't weird- grian just kinda fades from focus which is perfect for letting him rifle through chests or set up traps (not that they work lmao) right under people's noses

AND THE BEST PART IS THEY DONT EVEN PLAN IT - grian walking up on bdubs and impulses house while scar is bartering is completely unplanned seeing scar and then just immediately going digging for their valuables it's perfect no one else does it like them

Like imagine him staying too after a meeting, the other champs already left, probs off to train or do shit they want, and ofc that left Iris and Hilbert. Hilbert finally confronts her abt her being so distant, especially w him now, ofc he noticed, noticed how she's pushing everyone away. Iris still tries to deny it, saying nothing is wrong, everything's fine, but Hilbert is having none of it

Very random impromptu god gojo AU thingy ??? I got the idea 5 seconds before drawing this (: brain empty….!! big eyes !!!eyes… GOJO? Gojo has eyes…- "BIG" eyes……..,'God' coded? Lets go with that.) and only thought a little while drawing so theres not much lol

But uhm.; So gojo is a young god ™ (around 20yo, typical gojo.) but despite that, he’s been overpowering other gods who have been there for thousands of years since the moment he was born (breaking the balance of the world as he does) so thats fun -- gods are immortal but he "doesnt count" yet right? his existence is an insult to the rest of the world. ‘Elders dont like him’ (that goes both for old gods AND old worshipers.) [<—aka ‼️OVERPOWERED YOUNGSTER OLD PEOPLE DONT LIKE ✅ (CHECK!) VERY GOJO!]

Theres a worship system thing going on in this AU ; A lot of people are very religious and follow these gods and whatnot (but there are probably groups that reject this lifestyle, or that sought out taboo methods instead, staying away from places where strict laws rule) [hashtag insert worldbuilding] —— GETO (born same year as « gojo ») HAS BEEN BROUGHT UP IN THIS SYSTEM SINCE A RELATIVELY YOUNG AGE AND IS FULLY EDUCATED ABOUT THE MANNERS AND RITUALS HE SHOULD DO AND BLABLABLA. Theres a hierarchy in the church/cult thing so theres higher ups for him to dislike while politely kissing ass (amen). Idk what he thinks of the gods (it’s between him being a model worshiper that truly has faith in them & him secretly having something against them for some reason, only believing in his own gatekeep girlbossness or something¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )

EITHER WAY. he goes to meet gojo at some point. Probably because he has been asked to. Maybe the story is about (/or at least starts with) elders ™ deciding they want to find ways to control / restrain gojo (idk), leading to satosugu eventually teaming up to say fuck that.

Something something geto being « favoured by a god [gojo] » thus having a definite place in this world and gojo feeling like geto’s existence « grounds him » and gives him proper meaning in what to use his strength for and whatnot. Whatever (i doubt im going to write this so im not gonna elaborate lol sorry (i love me some character psychology but 💤💤)) Something something they are a destined cosmic pair your honour. Hashtag soulmates in every universe including this one HAh

Kind of an afterthought but: Gojo adopting megumi is definitely canon here too so 👍👍👍👍 (megumi is probably human but idk, as long as theyre wholesome im sold <3<3) SO LIKE, SOME PLOT HAS TO HAPPEN TO MAKE THEM FAMILY YKNOW - but deal with that yourself 😌(💤) (unless i come back to this idea with some deranged brainrot i didnt ask for + the will to create & share it✌️)

Rest

It's cold, in the tundra. Phil's grown used to it, over time, but it's still cold, and if there's one thing Phil's joints hate above all, it's the cold.

Phil himself dislikes the heat the most. It's stifling, and he wears layers so that he can take more and more off if he needs to. But when it's hot, and he's run out of things to take off? That's worse than the cold.

Because when it's cold, he can just do exactly what he's about to do now: climb the ladder out of the basement, make his way out of the pond under their house, shaking the water off as he goes. He heads up the stairwell, hesitates, and pushes open the door to Techno's house. He strips his armour off, drapes it over the fence set up by the fireplace to dry.

It's warm, in here; cozy in a way that's got his fingers tingling and has that ache in his joints hurting just a little less. Phil stretches, feels a twinge in his back where his wing meets the muscle there. He can't get at it himself, with the awkward angle and his wings being in the way, so he ignores it; does the rest of his stretches and heads towards the ladder leading upstairs.

If the main room was warm, it's hot up here, a wall of blissful heat hitting Phil the instant he pokes his head past the trapdoor. Techno's in his bed, curled on his side with a pillow in his arms, Blitz tucked into the nook behind his knees. It's an adorable sight and Phil sighs, sitting cross-legged on the bed and running his fingers through Blitz's fur.

Blitz purrs, a churring, snuffling sound that always warms Phil's heart and he laughs quietly, careful not to wake Techno. The man deserves his hibernation. He's had a hell of a time on this server.

Shucking off his outer layers is a mission with his ruined wing, but Phil manages, stripping down to just his undershirt and grabbing the spare sleep clothes he has stored in the chest at the end of Techno's bed. They're still there, even after he built his new house, and Phil's grateful for that now as he clambers carefully under the covers, shifting towards Techno and his pillow.

He carefully lifts his wing, draping it over the both of them — and Blitz, who he feels nudging his way under the large flight feathers that lie charred and threadbare near the tips — and curls himself in, towards Techno's pillow.

It's warm here. Sleep finds him easy.

(He wakes up to the pillow gone from between them, Techno's head tucked under his own, his breath warm on Phil's neck. Blitz is nibbling at his wing, careful little nips that don't hurt at all. He smiles, soft, and goes back to sleep.)
