many esteemed cycling mutuals are understandably looking at the... Everything about the recent gpogbling tweet, but as an incorrigible Noticer and part-time bike nerd i'd like to take a moment to talk about feet.

by which i mean cleats!

for those that don't know, they're components that screw to the bottom of cycling shoes, providing the interface between pedal and foot. many kinds exist but there are four brands used in the WT peloton (as far as i know)

both UAE & Jayco use Shimano's SPD-SL system, but with some gratuitous zooming in on feet we can see that bling's cleats are red whilst tadej's are yellow

this is down to the different float options offered by Shimano, “float” being how much you can adjust your foot position without unclipping (which is done by twisting the heel out away from the bike). yellow has the most freedom, red has none, and blue is intermediate. there's different axes of motion too but let's not get into that

which colour to use is basically a matter of personal preference but you're a good deal less likely to spot reds at a local club than you are in the pro peloton because their lack of movement means the bike fit has to be 100% dialed-in to prevent joint pain -- the kind of precision you'd expect from teams at the top of the sport.

as far as i can tell blue seems to be pretty widespread among the Shimano-using teams. for but a few examples: adam yates, luke plapp, and MVDP's banged-up cleats following his crash in Glasgow (it's amazing he could still clip in with those)

i would assume this is to balance the increased efficiency of power transfer that comes with decreased float whilst retaining enough freedom to allow comfortable adjustment over the course of long races.

bling uses the reds -- as expected for sprinters -- for maximal power transfer at high speeds, making every fraction of a watt count in a bunch sprint and keeping his legs/feet in the most efficient position without having to think about it

so initially i thought “perhaps tadej trains with yellow because they're more comfortable?”

but no -- he races in them too: these are before and during Giro stages (couldn't quickly find any from TDF/Montréal/other races so if there's photos of him using different colours please do tell me!), so the relatively increased movement must suit his riding style and specific anatomy better than the other options

or maybe he just likes them 🤷 it's not something any of us can ever know but for a rumoured €8million/year i'd expect the team to investigate most possible avenues of ~marginal gains~.

and of course riders’ preferences change over time; adam used to use yellows‚ remco used to use blues (now reds), all this is just something i thought was interesting!!

I’ve been getting tired of webcomics and wanting to move to print for awhile and with Webtoon’s issues I really want to get away from it now but I don’t know where I can buy them without knowing the exact title. Are there any good websites that categorizes print comics by genre? Or maybe youtube channels that give synopsis’ of different print comics?

I mean, Webtoons the company is not interchangeable with webcomics as a medium. If I can say this as gently as possible, I don't think you should discount webcomics as a medium just because WT sucks ass. Many print comic creators are still webcomic creators and rely on whatever traffic they can pull online, with print versions being an additional revenue source.

So my real advice is just that if you're reading any webcomics that you really enjoy and have print versions, please consider buying them if you want to support the creator beyond just whatever platform they're posting to. And if they're not bound by an Originals contract and have their own independent sites, bookmark and use them!

There are also digital publishers that offer print books from both trad artists and webcomic artists as well, such as Hiveworks and Image Comics, so I highly recommend checking out their libraries.

Point the finger at Webtoons(tm), not webtoons and webcomics. Webcomics are an amazing medium that are accessible to all regardless of skill level, background, or storytelling style - they are much larger than Webtoons, as much as WT may be trying to change that narrative and control the medium as a monopoly. I hope, despite everything WT is doing to its creators and readers alike, you don't give up on webcomics as a medium <3

My favorite character right out the gate lets go!!

(Ok wow this got sooo long I am sorry)

Starting with my personal takes & headcanons Trent is so nonbinary to me. They give such vibes of being like “idk man I’m just existing” as well as at first thinking they just really didn’t care about gendered stuff bc society is stupid about it but then realized just how deep those feelings were. I also love just any headcanon of Trent not being cis in general. The gender queer vibes are so strong with that one. In terms of sexuality I’m really not sure? I think they’re to multiple genders but idk in what way. Bi, Pan, and Unlabeled are the ones I’m stuck between.

On a slightly more analytical note in I think in Island they are well showcased as a nice chill person but also having the capacity to stand their ground and be intimidating (that one scene with Cody).

I don’t think they’re really good with social queues and may be a bit gullible seeing how things went down with Heather. On the outside has that mysterious energy but can be a real goober when you get to know them. Insane silliness potential that was wasted in my opinion.

Crossing into the semi-headcanon but also canon implied type stuff is their neurodivergence. In TDA it’s obvious that Trent has some neurodivergent tendencies. I personally think OCD and autism. I hate the way it was handled, not because they gave Trent these traits in the first place but how they framed them as a crazy person. That treatment was definitely very damaging to Trent and most likely made them go to heavily masking, even more so than before. Being pitied so much also felt incredibly frustrating to them.

The way that Trent was launched into fame right after a messy breakup on international television definitely made things worse. They seemed like they were thriving while the band was together but in reality they were only being seen for their music and not who they really are, pointedly ignoring their neurodivergence, flaws or any wrongdoing on their part. It hurt seeing how they were treated so horribly when it came to their mental health but as soon as they started singing they were suddenly this sweet, emotional, amazing guy.

And in terms of my headcanon they were also dealing with a ton of dysphoria being seen a guy in the Drama Brothers because they were closeted. I personally think that they had only found out a couple of months before Island so they weren’t comfortable telling anybody yet. They felt like they could tell someone close like Gwen eventually but didn’t want to come out on tv so they said nothing. I think in the days between the finale and TDA Trent became afraid again not wanting to ruin things with Gwen in fear of her being upset that they wouldn’t be the cool talented boyfriend that she expected. On the Aftermath they didn’t really have anyone truly there for them only having those who pitied them or who thought they were an awful person, leaving them isolated not just about dysphoria but just their existence in general.

I do believe that between TDA and WT as well as onwards that Trent was able to build a genuine friendship with Justin, Harold, and Cody despite how messy things got with the band at times. Unintentionally they started unmasking a bit around them closer to when WT started and when they weren’t met with judgement (maybe a bit that was just genuine misunderstanding that got corrected but still) Trent was starting to more and more feel like they could be themself. (Back to more headcanony for a sec) After WT Trent came out to the three of them and was met with acceptance! From there Trent is able to progressively come out more and more from their shell and from the closet to more people!

Also hopefully patching things up and becoming friends with Gwen eventually but that’s just like a wish I have

I think I just unintentionally typed out a whole outline of what I think their life is instead of just my opinion on them in general but yeah.

Some random headcanons!!:

- (Stolen from Courtney-deserved-better) A lot of people think that Trent looks so cool and mysterious but in actuality they are usually just zoned out

- Biggest sensory issues are with sound. They’d go insane without headphones/earbuds bc the music is nice and their noise as opposed to how horribly loud life can be (Kinda projecting on this one but it makes sense for them so shhh)

- Listens to most genres but especially the ones within the general indie/alternative umbrella. A good amount of ppl think that they only listen to mainstream pop type stuff so when they’re with Trent and some darker/depressing type shit like CSH comes on from one of Trent’s playlists they are so surprised.

- Likes some of what the Drama Brothers made but a lot of their brand was pushed into them by producers and the whole band kinda hated how fake things felt at times. After WT they manage to get away from that company and the band gets a lot more creative freedom making what they want. (Also changing the band name eventually bc of Trent if we’re talking in a world with my nb headcanon. Not sure when or if Trent would publicly come out but if not before the name change then they all just make something up about rebranding)

About ships! - I personally love tons of td ships being a massive multi shipper, especially with characters that are my faves (With an exception of Raj I don’t rlly see him with anyone but Bowie). Gwent was the first ship I ever got into with Total Drama and it has a special place in my heart. It’s not my absolute favorite but I still love seeing them together and au’s where they actually work things out healthily during Action or where Action and or TD didn’t happen. I love a lot of other ones too like Trustin and Trody and a lot more! I think my favorite Trent ship may actually be Trenoah, it’s really my favorite rare pair. Ik they didn’t really interact but the POTENTIAL!! They would play off of each other so well and ahhh dude I think I’d need to make a separate post just taking about those two

And that’s the basics of my thoughts on Trent! (well maybe not the basics but trust me it’s not all that I have to say about them).

Reactions to Tsunami Stopper's Chapter 193

TL;DR - Elder Ho and Fist King talk about how this would become a legend. Cale talks about their next move but GED leaders could only sigh at him. Cale's companions look angry and unhappy with him. HD adds fuel to the flames.

Caleism in Central Plains The first half of the chapter was from the perspective of Elder Ho and the Fist King. We get a third party narration of Cale stopping the tsunami and the people's reaction after Cale's success.

And then it took a strange turn. The two began discussing that what happened here was similar to legends, and that the events today would be passed down as legends for future generations... 😂

This is coming from two members of the Good Faction. But if you think about it, one of their faction's leaders, Jegal Mi Ryeo, is pretty much a Caleism believer already. I can already imagine Cale's legend becoming part of the bible of Caleism in the Central Plains... 🤣🤣🤣

Clueless Cale The last half was about Cale being clueless to why everyone was reacting strangely to him. Or him being shocked, confused, and scared of them. 😂

Beacrox - Cale is shocked that Beacrox is looking at him with disapporoving eyes, or clicking his tongue.

CH - Cale is scared when he saw CH's vicious stare.

Sui - Cale is confused why Sui was really angry. Sui's angry face is when his face is devoid of emotion.

That part about Beacrox giving Cale a handkerchief to wipe his face was so cute. You see, Cale expected Beacrox to always have a white handkerchief. But the handkerchief Beacrox gave to Cale had the cute embroidery of a cat. 🥰Cale realized that Beacrox embroidered this for Hong... 😊

As for the GED leaders - HD, Jegal Mi Ryeo, and Sima Pyeong, they were also exasperated at Cale. After all that happened, Cale began talking about their next move as if what happened to him was not a big deal. 😑

HD - sighs in frustration

Jegal Mi Ryeo - continuously wipes her tears and mutters "Even at this moment-"

Sima Pyeong - looks deep in thought

Raon's group joined Cale's group and added to the chaos. Alberu could only sigh, questioning Cale if he really wanted to be a slacker with everything he had done. Eruhaben simply praised him for a good job done. Raon bragged about how the power of the WT was sealed in Jungwon's statue.

And then CJS noticed Cale's swollen eyes and asked if he had cried. Cale insisted that he was actually fine, but HD... 🤣🤣🤣 HD added fuel to the flames! 🤣🤣🤣

HD said that Cale's head almost exploded and things might have gone bad if Cale had messed up. Raon dropped the statue, and Cale was annoyed that HD said that in front of a kid. As for the others, they were all just silent, hahaha 😂

Cale tried to convince everyone that he was really fine, but it did not work. Cale, you're so gonna be scolded by your companions soon, hahaha 🤣🤣🤣 Chapter ended with Alberu muttering his catchphrase, "This is driving me crazy."

Ending Remarks Today was a fun chapter. Next chapter will probably be them investigating the Blood Cult's city. I'm still amazed though, that we haven't gotten a new chapter title after 19 chapters.

okay but the way that noah and eva were SUCH GREAT CHARACTERS that NEVER DID ANYTHING is so upsetting. I know we all wanted a team e-scope comeback and wt TOTALLY COULD'VE DONE THAT like

and there's definitely possibility for people to get eliminated fairly late in the game, like sweeden sour, rapa phooey and of course double eliminations

first, I'm going to talk about the relations between the members of team e-scope

there could definitely be an expansion on the team e-scope relations. eva and izzy could have a very dynamic friendship- they're both some of the most threatening competitors while also having contrasting personalities. this friendship could've been used in island when they were both returning contestants. eva would recognize that they're both targets because they both skipped challenges and izzy really just went along with anything. she and eva definitely got along and they would be a killer alliance.

if eva made it even like a couple of challenges I think it would be good. just push trent and bridgette back once and move the no pain, no game challenge to after hide and be sneaky. there's the whole trent and heather plot in search & do not destroy, heather, leshawna, and eva could all have immunity in hide & be sneaky which would lead to bridgette's elimination, and then eva loses in no pain, no game. that would give enough time for at least a little use of eva and her rivalries with other characters. ALSO why was izzy in an alliance with heather? put her in with eva cmon. anyways. in hide & be sneaky, the guys could use eva's hate of bridgette to their advantage. anyways I'm going on a tangent here. NEXT

noah and izzy had at least some sort of thing going on since haute camp-ture. izzy with the 'throwing some shrimp on the barbie, that means you noah!' and the whole 'he kissed a guy!' thing definitely leads you to believe that at least izzy thinks they're friends, even if she just annoys noah. then in world tour, while he spent most the time calling her a nutcase, she carried him around a lot it wasn't like he hated her, he just didn't want owen dating her because she didn't treat him right.

noah and eva are a good team-up. noah's the brains and eva's the brawn, that's alliance material. they know each others strengths and neither really have friends. well, noah has owen but that's basically it. and owen isn't the most strategic person in the game. and both have a lot of enemies.

I'm going to talk about potential of the characters as if eva was in world tour and on team chris because that would make sense with canon

I feel like eva could be used so well. She didn't like being famous, so she was all in it for the money. She was straightforward. She was not playing any games. SHE WANTED THAT MONEY. I think Alejandro would see her as useful and keep her around, but he knows he has to get rid of her before the merge. Plus, she's so great for an antagonist. She has a lot of drive and could have a rivalry with literally anyone. She could have beef with tyler I mean realistically. he was a killer bass. also, I feel like she could have an alliance with alejandro. she doesn't seem like someone exactly all for alliances, but she understands a deal when she sees one- alejandro is a powerful competitor and she knows it. betrayal later could be AMAZING and I'll get to a point with that in a minute

and we all know the noah story, we've heard it a million times but it's true, he's a great character. He has a rivalry with alejandro, was labeled 'the schemer' or whatever even though he did nothing, he's really smart like they could have used that. he also had a lot of rivalries with people that were just not used. he didn't like alejandro, he didn't like sierra, he didn't like duncan, and he definitely had potential for relationships (positive or negative) with other contestants. he could still be eliminated at the same time, but at least let him do something.

okay. so I know we all love blaineley. well I actually don't really but we all love blainerific. HOWEVER. HER ASS DID NOTHING. I would bring back either eva or noah. eva, if having that alliance with alejandro, would be mad as hell. and post-merge, she could interact with members of team amazon. noah also is against alejandro and has a lot of potential for relations with other competitors. then I would have them last a little longer than blaineley did so they ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING anyways that's my little rant about eva and noah

I had been worried about rebounding since I realized I had some out of control eating patterns that somehow played into religious trauma and some other really personal stuff. (MEN) 😪

But realizing it seems to have gotten my head out of my ass. So yay!

Burger salad was also amazing.

Yesterday's exercise was cleaning the house. I followed the motivation and was able to get lots of laundry done, vacuuming, garbages out.

I hustled.

Hi! I just want to say that I absolutely love your writing and your art. City of Blank is my favorite comic by all reasonable measures (not counting my special interest) and your art style is so cool and unique that it’s inspired me to learn how to use half tones and rougher lines.

Mostly the point of this ask is that I wanted to tell you that you’re not alone.

Webtoon comic sections (and webtoon readers in general) are famous for their complete and total lack of reading comprehension. Maybe it’s because of the format of short episodes every week, which leads to reading spread out over time and in tandem with literally dozens of every series.

If I’m being less generous it’s because the vast majority of people are absolute idiots who believe the first narrative they see and parrot it forever, without ever caring to check the facts or learn new ones.

This is part of why Claude supporters are so vocal compared to the rest of the fandom - most readers simply see a clingy villain who almost definitely has a personality disorder. The people who care enough to actually read the comic see him as an apathetic but deeply relatable person, who is misunderstood by the world and has seriously messed up priorities. These same people are the ones who make fan art and cosplay because they actually care about the story.

My point is, don’t judge your comic off of the comment section. If you’re feeling generous, don’t even judge your fanbase. The people who care enough to donate on patreon, make fanart, cosplay, and post about CoB. Those are the people you should listen to. Someone once said “If you wouldn’t ask them for advice, don’t listen to their criticism.” That person clearly didn’t have anxiety and they make it sound easy. It’s not. But try to judge with the people who care over the people who don’t.

And even if your comic sucks (which it doesn’t)

You are still amazing as you are.

Tbh one thing I need to get better at remembering is......every WT comment section is like this haha. It doesn't matter if the writer is modern Shakespeare. Nobody is spared. I should just be grateful mine is (relatively) less toxic than some. I'll take confused people missing blatant details over biggots using slurs any day (tho don't get me wrong. I unfortunately get always at least 1-2 of those any time something remotely gay happens lol. But at least it's just one here and there).

The Wanillo Family

Wani was so hard to draw in this one aaaaaaaaaaa. Gave her a Mom hairdo sorry not sorry ksdfjsdlkf

Tresillo and Wani became really close REALLY quickly. After the events of WT, the two sought each other out frequently, mainly to chat music and dance together, which quickly led into playful flirting, which led to a whirlwind romance that never died away. These two are very cheeky lovers, often bragging about their talented partners to anyone who will listen. They didn’t even wait a whole year before they tied the knot like damn u two calm tf down

After they married, they decided to settle down in Trollstopia, since it was becoming the new hotspot to live. They lived the married life for a few years before lo and behold, Tresillo had an egg sittin up there! Tresillo and Wani were over the moon when they found out they were gonna be parents, and quickly welcomed little Yeona into the world.

After having Yeona, Tresillo and Wani actively retired from their official band/music group days, deciding to dedicate themselves to Yeona’s care and upbringing. While the individual groups were saddened that the two were leaving, Wani and Tresillo’s group were so happy for the two of them for moving on to the next stage in their lives. Yeona grew up with a lot of aunts, and was spoiled basically rotten by all of them.

The family still currently resides in Trollstopia. Tresillo runs a restaurant that Wani helps run, and on her off days, Yeona can be found working there as well.

And that’s the Wanillo fam!! Not much to explain here like last time, cuz Tresillo and Wani hit it off so well it could be considered aggravated assault.  Eddie hasn’t checked on Steve’s head injuries in hours, so when he wakes up, after coaxing Steve into eating and drinking something, the metal head grabs the bandages around Steve's head and gently removes them.

“Eddie!” Steve complains but the boy keeps removing the bandages, cursing in his mind when he realizes that they are red.

“Don’t be a baby! Be my good boy and let me see, ok, sweetheart?” he tells Steve, the pet name falling so easily out of his mouth and Steve immediately relaxing like a Pavlovian reflects “So good…” Eddie praises him while checking on his injury. In the warm light of the fire, he can’t see too well, but he doesn’t see bones or other stuff sticking out, which is good, but it would be definitely better if the cut stopped bleeding. The older boy takes some gauze and cleans the wound again, while Steve hisses.

“If you are a good patient I’ll kiss your owie.” he promises and Steve giggles a little while Eddie keeps checking on the injury "You got a nasty bump. What could I do?"

"Protect the cut with some gauze and put some snow on it, please."

"But it's already freezing in here!" Eddie trusts Steve completely, but he can't avoid worrying about making things even worse.

"Wouldn't you put some ice on a bump if we were somewhere else?"

It makes sense, but still, the idea of taking some snow and letting it melt down Steve's neck is not exactly something Eddie is looking forward to.

"Is it bad?" Steve asks, trying to touch the wound on his head, but Eddie stops him.

"No touching with those dirty hands!" he scolds him, while cleaning the cut before putting more gauze on it, then the metalhead gets some clean towels from the kitchen and comes back with some snow "Are we sure?" he asks again, looking at the dirty snow in his hands.

"Try not to make direct contact with the wound and I'll be ok." Steve encourages him and Eddie finally puts the cold towel under Steve's head who whimpers a little "It's cold. And you didn't kiss my owie." he protests, snatching a laugh for his boyfriend.

"You are right, I'll kiss your owie in a few moments, what do you think if I kiss your mouth in the meantime? Would that help you feel any better?" Eddie proposes, lowering himself to kiss his boyfriend upside down.

"I feel like I'm in a Spider-Man movie." Steve chuckles.

"Why don't you use your powers to take us out of here, Peter Parker?" 

"If only I could I would..." Steve sighs and Eddie caresses his cheeks.

"I know you would, baby. If things were reversed you would have probably dug a tunnel from the living room to the village, while I'm here panicking and not knowing what to do. I wish..."

"Don't. Don't say that. Don't sell yourself short Eddie. You are amazing, ok? You were the one who had the idea of using the wooden ski as a lever and as a splinter, you are so clever and I'm so glad that you are ok, it makes everything more bearable."

Eddie nods, holding Steve's cold hands "Can I get you another blanket?"

"I think it's the shock. It's getting to me, I can't regulate my temperature."

"What can I do?"

"Keep me awake?"

Eddie chuckles "You hate when I keep you awake, you become all groggy and cranky." he replies, brushing away some hair from Steve's face thinking about how mad Steve gets when he falls asleep on the couch and Eddie wakes him up to get to bed.

"I think I might endure your insufferable presence if you keep kissing me."

"Would that help you stay awake?" Eddie asks and Steve nods "Well, then I'll have to make a big sacrifice and keep kissing you." Eddie's lips brush gently against Steve's cheeks, the point of his nose, the shell of his ears while whispering praises and sweet nonsense.

"I already feel so much better." Steve smiles and Eddie takes away the melted snow.

"You still have a bump but it seems smaller. Do I have to ask you some questions like they do in the movies? What's your name? Who is the President? What day is it?" 

Steve knows his name and who is the President, he is a little bit confused about what day is it, but Eddie is not really sure either so they decide that is Wednesday, because Eddie's brain hates the world Wednesday, it has too many consonants and his neurodivergent brain can never write it down properly.

The metalhead keeps checking on Steve's wound until it finally stops bleeding.

"Do you think it will scar?” Steve asks, pouting “If I get a bald spot around the wound it will be e bitch to hide."

Eddie giggles, only Steve Harrington can get anxious about a bald spot on his head while they are still trapped in the middle of nowhere.

“Don’t worry, I don’t think it will but even if it does, we will find a way to hide it.”

“Promise?”

“Pinky promise.” Eddie replies, offering his fingers to Steve who gladly accepts it.

The Watermill Theatre interviewed Peter Dukes and Sioned Saunders about rehearsing an epic musical whilst living on site with two small children, and why they couldn’t turn down the opportunity to be in The Lord of the Rings.

Here are some excerpts:

WT: Tell us about your roles in The Lord of the Rings…

PD: I am playing Boromir. I have been obsessed with this story since I was eleven years old, so this is a dream come true. I love his passion and the grounding he brings especially as he comes into the story from a different place to all the other characters and for me that is really exciting.

SS: I’m the on-stage Musical Director, working alongside Mark Aspinal who is the Musical Supervisor and Orchestrator. My role is to make sure it all runs smoothly musically and sounds great! [...] I am part of the ensemble as well. I play an Elf called Elránien so I get to speak some Elvish and there is also some Welsh in the show, which is amazing. Elvish has really got that sound of Welsh to it, so I find it quite easy to speak. We are all actors and musicians, but this one is a bit different for me, with a lot of my focus on the Musical Direction.

WT: What does being in The Lord of the Rings mean to you both?

SS: When we got married, we had Now and for Always from the show played at the wedding.

PD: We both love the score so much, soI arranged it for Mandolin, Guitar, Violin and Vocals and it still remains one of my favourite moments of our wedding day. We also went to New Zealand on our honeymoon and visited a lot of the sites from the movies.

Heyyyy everyone! I just wanted to take a bit to gush about the WT I’ve been binging the past three days, Not Even Bones!

I’d seen this WT on the Saturday page for y e a r s , but it never looked that appealing to me. Last week, I binged Silent Screams on Canvas, and learned that artist was on NEB as well. That, combined with my desire for a darker story, and the icon nagging me like Shiloh and Lavender Jack did, made me cave and start it.

Let’s start with the characters. Nita’s our protagonist, and she’s.. interesting to say the least. Most of the time I can see where she goes but there are some instances where I question the writing a bit. And though I do get squeamish over her.. hobbies, the story usually justifies it pretty well or Kovit manages to say something. Speaking of Kovit, you can see most of these images have him in it 😂. Uhh but I have to say he’s a really good character, despite what he does. In the end he only does it because of his nature and the society that enables him. But his design is cool across all three styles, he’s a caring guy, and the rules he poses for himself make the story really interesting. S2 was my favorite, I think for all of the things we found out about him. Next we have… Fabricio. I… truly don’t know what to think about this little dude. He’s a little annoying, for starters, bc he always escapes!! And his morals are grayer than a thundercloud! And I don’t know what he truly wants! But regardless, I think he’s a good foil character for Nita, forcing her to confront herself when she’s too far gone or giving her a goal to reach. That’s our main three, but I do want to give a couple shoutouts. Adair is like.. so fun. He gives those fun trickster vibes, and to me sounds like Josh Grelle. Diana is fun too, giving Nita a friend when Kovit isn’t there. Gold is a bit annoying sometimes, but I like how she brings out a different side of Kovit. Overall these characters are very interesting, and their designs in the latter seasons make it all look and feel so immersive and unique.

So, I started it. S1 was a little rough, since the story was new to me and I wasn’t a huuuuge fan of the art style. But the story was engaging enough and I think the art fit with the tone of the season, even if it wasn’t my favorite. Overall it was interesting to see this WT go deeper than the advertisements of simply “girl who’s mom finds supernatural creatures and she dissects them”. We actually learn more about those creatures and the hostile world they live in.

S2 was what I was really waiting for, since Glamist was the artist for that one. And BOY did it deliver! The story just got more engaging from there, with Kovit’s backstory coming up more and Nita getting more desperate, and Glamist’s art made it look soooooooo goooooood!!! What I really noticed in this season was the imagery that Glamist drew. You can see it in the panel above where Kovit is behind bars made out of money, MMMM so good. There’s more like that, which is a sticking point alone. And! Before this I’d only seen three WTs of mine have moving panels: Shiloh, Nevermore, and Time & Time Again. BUT now I can add this one to the list! The one where Adair was like “What have you done?” also moves, and it was so fluent and amazing. There’s another one where Kovit swings his knife around, and I was floored by that one. This season was so great with characters, story, and art, and it just makes me soooo excited to see Silent Screams come out as an Original.

I just caught up today with S3, and it is still so good. I was a teensy bit sad to see Glamist go, but Starpiper keeps that same style nearly to a T, the imagery is still so strong, and the panels still move from time to time. It is nice to see Nita and Kovit’s relationship still so strong in this season, even when Kovit is brought down to his worst. This season is still going on, so I don’t have tooooo much to say, but it’s been really good so far. Excited to read a new ep today.

Anyway, if you’re a fan of like Shiloh or Silent Screams and looking for another story like that to enjoy, check Not Even Bones out!

Hii! I was wondering if you’ve ever ranked the Wrong Turn movies yourself? I don’t really count the 2021 reboot cuz it doesn’t have the boys in it, but if you want to count that one you gladly do it. Also if you’ve already ranked them that’s fine and you don’t have to do it again if you don’t want to.

Promise you my dear, that 2021 movie wont be ever ranked in with the Wrong Turn franchise, I don't recognize it as part of the series either lol. But! I will do two rankings, my personal and a non-bias one Personally: 4, 2, 1, 5, 3 and 6 are my Best to Worse. I adore the 4th film, it's my favourite, my comfort movie, my baby, also its the one with the best looking One-Eye, cute as FUCK in that movie.. 2nd is also a fave, love it so much and how it brings in the new side of the family, 1st if a classic, it's the original but I do enjoy fun over seriousness, so the 2nd goes above it. Now with the not-so great side of the films, I enjoyed the 5th with its story and how they handled it as an inbetweener for the 4th and 1st films as well as enjoyed the fun kills but that's all. I'm not a fan of how they handled the characterization of my boys or Maynard, nor the designs of them it truly looked like they didn't put a lot of heart into it. The 3rd is okay and the kills cool, but it felt very bland and flat, hated the story, hated the protags, hated that Three-Toes didn't last long and it just sucked. I hate the 6th film all together, hate the designs, hate the new villains, hate the story, hate the acting, felt the kills were boring, I'd tear it up and re-do it completely if I could. Apologies to fans of this one, but it really sucks its the only horror movie I've ever skipped scenes in and I've watched some real fucking shit-ass low-budget snoozers of some horrors all the way through. The (attempted) non-bias: 1,2,4,5,3,6. The 1st is a classic, it is what brought us the Wrong Turn films and out of every one of them its the most realistic is design and story, it is simply more real in the looks of the brothers, how they are as people and the story of it all, which is what makes it scary cause they were not originally mutants with special healing and strength qualities, just really violent cannibalistic hillbilly-bastard men that could have been inbred (them being inbred is more solidified in the 2nd movie) Its simple and gritty, it stands on its own and really would be fine without the other movies which is why its S tier. The 2nd, is were it broadens the families story out more, though doesn't explain everything as there still needs to be mystery to this family, but it does bring more characters that are family members and I love that it's natural! This is where the 6th WT movie and also where some other horror movies fail when bringing in new family characters when it comes to sequels or prequels where new family members fuck up the dynamic or just make zero sense on where they relate to the original films. The 2nd film is also where it brings the more comedy side of Wrong Turn, but doesn't come off entirely strong so its easier to ease into. It also is the one that brought more lore with how they're related via incest, the involvement of Maynard as well as brought in new lore such as the idea of mutation and that they can take more damage and have more strength to them. The 4th is where we return back to the three brothers and delve into their history more, this is actually where we get a more solid idea of their ages and personalities, the three brother become fleshed out more and really feels like the movie is more about them than their victims we're supposed to be following. It's definitely the one that brought the comedy out the most and made it enjoyable, the new designs on the brothers are also still very nice though they lost their realistic-ness features it is happily not distractible and still appealing. It still has amazing kills, happily does not lack in that creativity, really a good place to find out more lore and it fits nicely in the story line as a beginning.

The 5th is a mix of good and bad, with being the inbetweener of the 4th and 1st film, it filled in the blanks of how the boys got where they are a really good idea, the story is pretty solid and can be seen as fun, it only fails in the design and handling of the characters, with most the victims being bland and boring, though some more interesting than others (the old drunk man and cop lady) but they went a different route in how the three brothers were as characters, in both looks and personalities, as well as how Maynard is in personality and character which is very different from the past films. But the cannibals change personalities is all it failed in, other than that it is a good fun movie with good deaths and a solid lore story that relates from the steps of 4-5-1-2-3. The 3rd, though meant to be the "ending" of the Hillikers/Odets family, leaving an opening of 'mystery cannibal?' at the end. It does have some really nice kills, very creative but that is where it ends. The main idea of the story, though is an idea is one that feels out of place, uninteresting and at times even frustrating. The designs have become more poorly, though is not the worse of the films, it is more a movie that doesn't give a satisfying end and at times loses your interest. It does relate to the 2nd film with having connections, so it does well with keeping up with lore.

The 6th is difficult, since it doesn't fit anywhere realistically or naturally with the 1-5 lore. The acting is poorly, the designs of the brothers are horrendous and the characteristics of the main three boys are the most different and out of place of all the films, it brings in a cult-like lore that doesn't relate nor add up to the original stories, the deaths are okay but nothing entirely creative or fun like its predecessors, neither the new killers or victims are likable or memorable.

(Honestly. Wardtale is just so great and interesting in general. Like; I love Sans being a former military general. Now newspaper delivery person, is that right? Idk, I just love that kind of past live(s) and/or multiple side stuff when it comes to Sans. Plus; I am suck for science stuff, military, spy, tactician, or assassin, etc. stuff for Sans. Think ur series, or the amazing Timetale. With one of the best Sans and Alphys and Sans and Alphys relationships I have ever seen. Or think The Golden Quiche series. Or TLD series, by the same person who did TGQ, and is a really great and unique DustTale take. So I love that for ur Sans. Alphys' and more cold (if I am remembering correctly) role in WT is very interesting too! And it is interesting that Sans hates her. I wonder what Alphys thinks and/or feels about Sans. Ur Frisk take and design is great too! Tbh; u are just so good at designs in general.

Also, I love the sprite game art style kind of thing that Wardtale has! It is so different and unique. And it gives me the vibes of sprite comics, which, I wish say more of, esp. ongoing and/or completed ones in the fandom(s). Though, the ones we have are great. But still different, and very developed. Anyways, I am very excited (though also sad, but also happy the series is going to be getting closure) for the next chapter and the last 2 (I think) chapters in the Wardtale. And I am very interested to hopefully still see ur take on Wardhorror. I love horror and/or horrortale takes. And I already love ur takes on Sans and Aliza for example.)

Or about the next part and/or chapter of The Ebott Books is going if u are working on that instead?

(Loving this so far too. I love ur sprite video series for Wardtale, but ur comics are so well done too! And it helps even more to give each series a really unique feel to it. Loving the kind of fairy tale elements, designs, and curses in this! It is all very interesting. Sans, Paps, Frisk's, and I think Asgore was in this and had a cool design, all look awesome and cool and cute and stuff.

Though, I won't lie, seeing Paps more mainly in blue, and Sans mainly more in a brown-ish color; even though they both look great, kind of threw me off. '^^ Because, I more connect blue to Sans. At least usually. Or like, they both have blue clothes and stuff; like in some Outertale versions. Like, The Ebott Books Paps is not the only blue Paps I have seen. There is also CP from Under/Source. But like, blue just works for me w/ CP (not that it doesn't ur Paps) and doesn't throw me off as much for some reason. Maybe because also, a couple of the main Sanses and characters are mainly purple and blue (so still one blue, and another cool color. Plus; I just like purple on Sans). So maybe that helps in me not getting as thrown off.

That post and art was really cool and interesting. I would have loved to see it in the series proper or maybe some kind of side video or something, because idk, I just find it cool and interesting. And exploring Sans, Paps, Gaster, and skelemom a bit more as a family sounds cool. And I like seeing people different takes on the skelebrothers family. But I get why u decided u can't. If u ever do post more and/or etc.; I will defin. be interested though.

Also, I know it is because you don't want to show the Mom (which, honestly, I wouldn't minded seeing ur take on Skelemom. I like seeing more takes on Sans' and/or Paps' parent(s), and we know more of that in the fandom(s) imo. Like, there is Timetale, Reminiscence, The Golden Quiche (and kinda The Lone Defender), etc. have good takes on the skeleparent(s). As a few examples), but the way u have ur part of the picture missing and/or ripped is quite ominous and mysterious.

If don't know or don't want to answer about how stuff is going with Wardtale or The Ebott Books and/or etc; I would totally understand and get it!

• (this makes me happy) Thank you for liking sans' relationships and him being a former general who gave up his life to be a newspaper delivery boy, I always liked watching documentaries and I did well at school when they were about revolutions and wars. Alphys doesn't hate but doesn't like Sans either, she supports him more because of Papyrus and Gaster (even though Gaster sees Sans as a soldier rather than a son and Papyrus for having fought with Sans but still cares a lot about him) The only common thing they have in common is that they think that humans should be left alone and that they don't transmit the virus to monsters, but they have totally opposite ways of solving this problem.

Sans is also jealous that Papyrus admires Alphys and listens to her more than Sans, after Sans arranged for Papyrus to join Asgore's army and try to place him in an important position.

• Yes, after Wardtale ends I want to do two ideas that popped into my head (which won't be canonical in the story) but after it's over I'm going to do some drawings of Au, either events that happened in the series or from each Monsters past.

• ebott books I left on hiatus because I want to focus on finishing wardtale and war fragment (an old sonic comic of mine with the main couple from infinite x gadget) on Wattpad since both are not long before they are finished.

• The idea was for Papyrus to be white or black, but it didn't work very well (because they are both inspired by wild wolves) so I thought about putting a gray color but it looked quite dead, then finally I decided to put a more bluish gray color since the Au's colors are shades of blue and white to represent ice (yes, I confess that it's not every day that there's a papyrus with blue that reminds me of a sans lol)

• I can even show more of the past two two (there's a part ready about this that I haven't posted yet) and also if I have space I'll put more of Alphys' past or at least mention about their and Alphys' childhood and more about the asriel and sans relationship

• At first I thought about Sans and Papyrus's mother being a parody or something funny like featuring Temmy or another character (maybe an NPC that no one knows the existence or importance of) but since Wardtale took a more serious path I thought about what she could be like or who she could be, so I thought the fans could interpret what her face would look like... BUT I WANTED TO MAKE A POINT OF DESIGNING THE DRESS BECAUSE I LOVE DESIGNING DRESSES.

No problem, I'm happy that you love the series a lot, I'm still doing Wardtale, but due to the accident that caused my cell phone to die and me losing a lot of things, it made me feel discouraged, but thanks to my girlfriend, my sister and some fans encouraging me to continue little by little I came back and I'm redoing some sprites that I had lost
