my difficult errand today is to go to the local community bike shop and get a new-to-me refurbished bike, because mine has finally kicked the bucket

or so i thought. the things making this challenging are a) change is hard, and a change to a tool i use every day will involve an intimidating adjustment period

and b) i am emotionally attached to this bicycle that has been with me through all the tough times and big changes in my life over the past decade, and the thought of donating it to the shop to be stripped for parts was making me sad

so i've decided to hang onto the old bike, see if the issues with it can be repaired, and if so, do the work of overhauling it over the next few months and eventually leave it at my parents' house so it'll be available when i visit.

Gonna be so proud of myself soon when my projects are done 💪💘 The prospect inspired me enough today to take my time and listen to my current needs and desires. Find out which require attention, what exactly I need to water, and then practically figure how to meet those wants. Talking about paving the road for the ways that'll make me blossom best this springtime around

It's such an awfully simple thing, but one we owe ourselves every year to do. I'm thinking of the things this weekend I wanna do that'll unlock the best, kindest, coolest version of myself. Get the spark back, fall in love with my own soul and energy

But anyhow today I witnessed a crime, which 911 had already been called for

And I'm telling the guy, you know, as he's running away, that nobody's gonna touch him, we don't do that here, I don't have any weapons and he can totally walk on out if he wants to
