Random rant time!
I updated all my fandom-related account emails to Proton mail, discarded the old Gmail account I had. You know why? Because I tried to login to this gmail account after perhaps years, and I remembered the password, I remembered my stupid recovery email which I had created a decade ago, and I remembered the password to my recovery email also. But noooooo that's not enough for Google to verify me, No Sir.
Bloody site had the audacity to ask me for my fucking phone number. I don't fucking want to associate my phone number with that account, or any account for that matter. Is that so fucking difficult to understand, Google?
I am so done with this shit. These data grabbers who have no fucking concept of basic privacy and decency. Bastards, all of them.
So, my new privacy focused Trinity beckons - Protonmail for emails, Tor for browsing and Protectedtext.com for writing.
Fuck. You. Google.
Okay, rant over 😐😠

DID YOU GUYS KNOW that the Tor Project has developed a proxy server you can run as a literal browser extension??? I'm by no means an expert on this but I was just reminded that I even had it installed by an update coming in, I never noticed it! It's so crazy that you can be part of a global network of traffic obfuscation and help people circumvent internet censorship in their countries just by installing a BROWSER EXTENSION
Naturally, I believe literally anyone who regularly accesses the Internet through a desktop browser and lives somewhere where the Internet isn't heavily censored already should install this, as mentioned before, it is literally no effort.
Here you can learn more about it and also find a link for the extension for your browser:
Also please rb, I have the feeling this is pretty unknown
Also, if you know more about this, please fill in the technical details as I'm just a little guy

Tails OS
Have you ever traveled and succumbed to using a public computer that could be compromised and could potentially steal your data? Or even want to increase your privacy and anonymity against surveillance? The Tails operating system covers this. After doing some Tor browser surfing, I recently discovered Tails and decided to dig deeper into it and play around with it as I am always looking for new tools and protection measures, I can learn and use. Tails, or “The Amnesic Incognito Live System", is a security-focused Debian-based Linux distribution that connects to the internet only through the Tor network. works by routing internet traffic through a series of volunteer-operated servers called nodes or relays. Each user's data is encrypted multiple times and then sent through a randomly selected path of these nodes before reaching its final destination. At each node, one layer of encryption is removed, revealing only the next node in the path, like peeling layers of an onion, hence its logo and nickname.
Tail's most notable feature is its ability to boot from a USB or CD to turn any computer into a temporary” secure” machine by creating an almost ghost-like presence on the machine. When using Tails nothing is written to the hard disk and only runs from the memory on the computer. On top of this, Tails will actually overwrite the memory when exiting to prevent any cold boot attacks. Meaning, that once you shut down the OS all of your actions and information will be erased from memory. This is much more secure than just using incognito mode in your browser because that information could still be retrieved using computer forensics measures. Despite all this, Tails is not a hundred percent secure. There is still room for vulnerabilities like everything in the cyber realm and you do have the ability to sore data on the portable device to transfer between sessions and it is automatically encrypted, but this can be another vulnerability.
Fun fact: Tails it was used by Edward Snowden the ex-N NSA employee who leaked government secrets.

how to access the dark web
⦾ first, get an antivirus (you can use Avast which is free if you're broke, it actually works super good)
⦾ then, get a VPN. you can choose which location hackers see you at, for example, you can set it to australia or somethin
⦾ next, cover up your camera with a piece of tape
⦾ google tor browser and download tor. on safari or chrome, dark web links don't show, but on tor, it does.
⦾ go on tor, activate all your protection, and search up the hidden wiki
⦾ when you click on it, you can find a list of the best dark web links, its like an encyclopedia, almost. they are all safe and won't do anything sketchy to your computer. you can click on these links
⦾ if you want more links, search ON TOR best dark web links or something like that

btw: chances are you don't need a VPN in the first place.
Don't listen to the aggressive YouTube advertising, it's a waste of money in almost all situations.
You do need a VPN when, and only when,
using public networks (other people in the same public network can theoretically track your activities if you don't use a VPN, but... whether that's a problem depends heavily on what activities there are)
you want to circumvent geoblocking (but there's dedicated websites and browser addons functioning like a VPN that do the same, and they are free)
A VPN does not protect you from tracking via cookies or from the government. They just have to ask the VPN company instead of your ISP for your internet history, and either are obliged to comply.
If you really want to avoid anyone tracking you, use Tor Browser (https://www.torproject.org/download/). It's free, it's developed by a nonprofit organization, and the whole darknet runs on it. Basically, it's a network of anonymous devices all over the world (you can also be a part!) which act as strung-together VPNs, making tracking from the target side completely impossible. There is also a mobile version available, and various methods to avoid tracking by other means.
Never use Surfshark VPN
I just wanted to make this post to warn yall about it, I am not a tech genius but I wanted to get a vpn and surfshark was one I knew about so i subscribed to them because it seemed ok, that was where I fucked up.
fast forward a year and now I am trying to cancel my yearly auto-renewing subscription which costs 70 fuckin bucks, didnt find much use in surfshark as it was too laggy when using its vpn services so i go to billing and try to cancel.
there was no cancel button so that was odd, and you cant turn off auto-renew so i figure ill just get rid of my card info so it cant charge me.
i cant or at least i cant figure out how.
I go to help and find the cancellation area after scrolling past why you should keep the subscription and it tells me to contact their live support to cancel, It requires my name and gmail, I know for a fact my gmail is correct but it says its wrong and that my name is wrong no matter how many ways I enter it and I cant find a possible username anywhere on the site i could use. Its for all practical reasons impossible for me to cancel, not just the fact I cant even talk to customer support, but the people on reddit that do, talk to a bot and then the agents take months to actually turn off the subscription so it charges again and there is no refunds.
dont use surfshark VPN

The Dark Web of Fate
October 22, 2025 — 23:00 It began with a thread. Not a conspiracy forum or cryptic tweet, but a hidden message inside a .onion address, buried deep within an anonymous chatboard. Gabe was the kind of hacker who thrived on riddles, especially the ones that came in hexadecimal whispers and barely-working servers in countries that didn’t technically exist. He wasn’t a bad guy—just gifted. Smart,…

You can also use tor/onion browser but like. Be careful because you can also access the dark web with tor and dark web users can access you if you don't have the proper protection on dark web sites.
