The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe) | Official Trailer
The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe) is a lore-rich and choice-driven historical fantasy visual novel inspired by Irish mythology and Celtic folklore. Play as a tenant farmer from mid-19th century Ireland, whose path becomes inexplicably entwined in fairy affairs after getting robbed by the roadside and lured into the mythic and war-torn world of Tír na nÓg: A once unified land, now divided into the Seelie and Unseelie Courts. Will you escape and return home with your stolen belongings? Or does fate have something else in mind?
🍃 STEAM 🍂 ITCH.IO 🍃PATREON 🍂DISCORD 🍃
Eager to play? Certain route content is available NOW in early access on Steam and Itch.io! For more information, click below👇
Meet the Cast
Facts & Questions: The Game
🍃 The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe) is a Kickstarter-funded project currently in development. Due to the scope of the story, we will be releasing it serially over several years to Steam and Itch.io, and discounting it while in early access. The earlier it's bought, the cheaper it will be overall, and you'll only need to buy the game once!
🍂 Not all routes are currently available! As of Nov. 1, 2024, you can play half of Shae and Maeve's routes; both approximately 50k words. If you're not sure about paying for an unfinished game, feel free to check out our free demo first. It consists of Vol. 1, Book of the Traveller (the pre-route content). Differences between the demo's Vol. 1 and the paid game's Vol. 1 are marginal following our August 1, 2024 re-release of the demo.
🍃 The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe) has a recommended reading order (Vol. 1, then 2, then 3, etc.), which will correspond to the release order of the routes. For more information on our reasoning behind this, click here.
🍂 Due to its setting, The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe) will occasionally feature instances of characters speaking in Gaeilge, i.e. the Irish language. All instances of Gaeilge are linked to an internal translation tool, which is voiced by Nigel McKeon, a Gaeilgeoir.
🍃 The main character is yours to shape. At minimum, you must choose a nickname, pronouns, and one of four default appearances, the last of which can be your own artwork (instructions are included in the game's files). You may also choose to discard the True Name…
🍂 All routes, both current and upcoming, will have both romantic and platonic choice options. If you're uninterested in romance, feel free to make friends instead! No matter the nature of your relationship, you will still be able to reach the good end. (Want to learn more? Refer to this post!)
🍃 Our cast consists of two men, two women, and two non-binary characters. All are romancable no matter the MC, but some characters are asexual or on the aromantic spectrum, which may impact aspects of their romances.
🍂 If you are a Mac user and are having issues launching the game via the Itch direct download, refer to this guide for troubleshooting before sending us an ask. We strongly recommend purchasing the game through Steam instead of Itch if you are a Mac user; it is the best way to avoid issues with launching the game.
🍃 NDM is very intentionally set just prior to the onset of the Great Famine, which is both thematically and textually relevant to the leftist, anti-imperialist story we're aiming to tell. If you would like more insight into this, refer to this post.
🐎 There are secrets to be found in this game, with more yet to come. Prepare yourself for a lot of horse related shenanigans. 🐎

The sims 4 is not a lost cause, it just needs some love.
SO i recently came back to playing sims 4 after a long hiatus and i have to say i'm surprised. I'm no EA apologist, they are indeed cashgrabby. But to see that lots of new features were integrated over the last few years that facilitated different styles of gameplay actually surprised me.
It seems tho that a pattern has been set, were they will release the most lackluster pack (whatever it is) and keep fixing it over the next few years. Pack reworks became a thing and thank god for it, since the releases don't seem to be stoping in order to give us better results.
It's a bittersweet feeling for sure. The game has more than 70 packs released and somehow it can still feel dead when it comes to live mode. And that's what this post is about: how could they bring the love the other games had for live mode in a base game that's so purposefully made for cas and build/buy?
Part 1: Nostalgia driven gameplay
Seeing the UI from the sims 1, 2 and 3 brings me back a lot of memories. It was a staple to this series that was lost due to a cleaner redesign. Not only that, but a core mechanic was also changed: the wants and fears system.
I believe that what makes me so nostalgic is TO KNOW that this worked so perfectly and hardly needed any refreshes.
Your sims now have emotions and yet, they rarely feel like something integrated to a goal or something you can truly affect while in gameplay.
Bringing back the wants and fears system would not only make our decisions during gameplay more impactful to our sims emotions, but also help to choose the direction any story could go.
An aspiration meter that's connected to the rewards shop would make decisions much more impactful (rather than getting them just by working through what is currently known as the "tutorial aspirations").
Your sims moods should be important, and so what makes them feel that way.
Part 2: World overload
With the amount of packs released, the world selection menu quickly became a problem. When seeing that screen, it all just feels like a blur of information that's been set in a certain way for convenience.

Maps such as these became popular in the community for a reason. The experience of playing needs to be inviting from the get go. It's clear tho that the reason behind not giving us something like this is no long term planning and pack exclusive experiences.
So what if it just became a larger sims world? A concept were you wouldn't select the city at frist, but the entire region were it is located in order to acess the one you prefer.
That would also make this refresh friendly to a future create a world tool (whenever that may come).
Part 3: Pack refreshes are the bread and butter of the future
Let's face it: we're stuck with this game for another 10 years at least. So other than dwell on the fact that we don't have open worlds or things of that nature, we should look at what can reasily be solved, and that's pack refreshes.
From seasons coming out without properly made textures and snow depth to functions that will simply not work as they should, I like to believe we do have a voice in this community. I made this post several years ago and now, looking back at it, I see so much improvement over things that we were desperately asking for.
Don't get me wrong, by that I don't mean that EA developers are searching through my page or yours to find what we think and expect for The Sims 4. But talking about these things openly as a community is what makes the difference.
Part 4: Simmers Unite
In conclusion: uniting our voices to ask for these things to come as refreshes and revamped features are crucial for the next few years. Let's, together, avoid a "my first snowdepth pack" or similar things that could yet come our way.
I created a blog called @sims4-communitywishes to reblog rants and wishes such as these. Our blogs and separate voices may be small, but a repository of it is much more impactful.
So thank you for reading this all the way through and in case you want to share your wishes for the future of The Sims 4, tag it as #s4comunitywishes

'ello! thought: what would goku's equivalent to "blue evolution" be? disqualifying kaio-ken on top of blue. like, I know kaio-ken is meant to be goku's equivalent in the anime, or rather the other way around. but blue evolution was meant to be vegeta's response to a great breakthrough of goku's that he couldn't match. an evolution of the strength he had that, while paling in comparison to goku's new achievements, was a step forward for HIM. his own form of limit breaking based on who he is as a character. executed very differently in the manga and anime, but the IDEA is the same. kaio-ken is something that was already very established as a mechanic in the anime, and sorta-kinda came back for like half a minute in the manga too. so, supposing the script were flipped and vegeta gained some crazy ability that he didn't understand during the tournament of power (and still couldn't defeat jiren with), and goku's "journey" through the tournament was of trying to find his own footing upon deciding that he wouldn't be able (and didn't want to) mimick vegeta's new skill for whatever reason. i don't know what this vegeta breakthrough would be, it's not really important to this thought experiment. like. what would goku feel, if he were so backed into a corner by jiren's power with no new ground to cover. like, i know he wouldn't really care if vegeta were stronger than him, but it would still end up being his problem to solve as well. if he were forced to try and invent or push into something new, right on the spot, formed out of what he knew up to that point, what would he come up with? what emotions would he draw upon? it could be his passion for unending self improvement in his martial arts, it could be his deep (but currently impossible) desire to move on from his role as earth's chief protector so someone else can take his place. what parts of his training would he draw on? heaven knows the man's got options. I don't have an answer ready personally. just thought the concept was interesting to share. i've been toying with it for a while. i know the obvious answers are ultra instinct or just the same form vegeta found, but ui invalidates the entire premise of this thought(?) and the second answer is just very boring. I know i've talked about it primarily in terms of the anime but I mean, the manga is an option too I guess. it's sort of easier to work with in the manga's continuity, just because the blue kaio-ken isn't nearly as prevalent in the manga. i'unno. i've gotten nowhere. i know how you feel about how transformations have been handled, and i agree for the most part. but it is sorta interesting to think about, right? i think it's an interesting position for a character to be in. a breakthrough all their own, but... it isn't enough. it doesn't push them far enough. it's like a half answer to the question. getting closer but not reaching the goal. you've molded something great out of your experiences so far, done it purposefully even, but it might not even matter. i kind of like jiren for that reason. he's really mediocre as an antagonist but the pressure he puts on a character through being a featureless stone wall is delightful. any thoughts? you don't have to like, design a transformation. i just think it's an interesting concept to play with on a character and thematic level. especially since goku would probably be thrilled to have vegeta's position. he would LOVE for somebody to show him up all the time, just by a little bit.
I don't think Goku would necessarily have an equivalent. His art isn't driven by others in the way that Vegeta's is. Even when Vegeta is trying not to walk Goku's road, he's still driven by Goku; even in DBS, Vegeta doing things like refusing to use teleportation because it's a Goku technique and demanding an equal equivalency to Ultra Instinct so that he doesn't have to walk the same road as Goku, is all Vegeta letting Goku define the course of his art's development.
But Goku doesn't do that.
Goku doesn't go, "Ew, the Taiyoken is Tenshinhan's move. I would never use Tenshinhan's move! My moves have to be 100% Goku originals, so I'm going to develop an art that is everything opposite of what Tenshinhan's doing!"
Goku, assuming we're talking about how he was written in his prime and not Stupid Super Goku, would assess Vegeta's new form with unbiased fairness and make a decision about whether he wants to incorporate it into his own art. He may even choose to take elements from it and leave out the others to create his own variation better suited to his style.
Or he might just decide it sucks and never touch it. In which case, he wouldn't really have his own equivalent; He would just do something else, advancing his art in his own way. We saw exactly that with the Graded Super Saiyan forms.
But he wouldn't really have a response to Vegeta's form, because Goku doesn't let his rivals decide where his art should go next.

Beta Update
Alright everyone!
If we push anything within the next half hour, I may end the daywith one more development announcement, but until then, I believe we're done for the night--until tomorrow morning! Which is when we'll be back on the grind!
Lots done, lots more to do. We celebrated 1000 users singing up, laughed at the user shenanigans, and we're feeling good about the progress we're making! With every crack down on a bug, we learn something new.
Today we pushed:
Midwife UX/UI fixes
Server infrastructure updates
"Broken" cat fixes
Onboarding issues
Economy exploitation patch part 1 (which will require a hard wipe in the coming days, after we're sure the game loop is in tact (fixingguild play))
Here is what we plan to tackle tomorrow:
Mobile UI issues
Latent breeding bugs
Guild glitches
Anymore onboarding issues
Comprehensive user guide and tester resources for testing; including a publicly accessible bug report
Pelt PSDs!
Reflective pros:
Server did not crash!
Users seem to be having fun
User to user synergy is a-go
We got to certain bugs very fast
Reflective cons:
Need more outreach on instructions, completely our fault and to learn from
Though we didn't crash, resource use for the server was heavy, and could use improvements and optimization
Some of the UX/UI is clearly confusing to some, and worth retooling
We have a lot to learn! Thanks for sticking with us! We hope to truly show improvements and learn from any mistakes <:pbsalute:1038261221138370580>
A big hand to Jess, Harvey, and Eric for their fantastic work on gettin swift fixes and helping us kickoff.
And a big hand to Kro for user task management and BTS ticket replies!
We feel optimistic at how much fun and growth we saw today, and we're excited to continue to develop the application to see it blossom.

How Mei Mei's inclusion in the good guys' team goes against Gojo's dream - or not?

Here are some rambling thoughts on her I had for the past few weeks but first things first: I love Mei Mei as a character. She brings a high class aesthetic to the manga but more than that she brings an extreme gray morality to it and consequently complicates and enriches the narrative and themes of JJK.
I will talk about one of those complications here, namely her material nature that lets her use everyone around her to make herself richer. Her allegiance to a side is solely depended on how much she gets out of it and with that she stands in contrast with Gojo's, Yuji's and even Megumi's ethical standards. On top of that, she was the narrative foil of Nanami up until his death.
Mei Mei did a number of unethical things in the manga which include:
Accepting money from Gakuganji to turn off her surveillance while the Kyoto students tried to kill Yuji.
Doing things solely for money even it helps the good guys.
Developing an extremely depended relationship with her brother on his side, so she can have a useful tool at all times. This dependent relationship includes fostering his infatuation with her up to the edge of it becoming sexual on his part.
Killing the head of the NSS so she can keep her assets.
Especially her relationship with Ui Ui raises eyebrows for why she's not only tolerated in Gojo's inner circle but even accepted and respected. Even Nanami, whose ethical standards are high and who directly lives the ideal of caring for children and protecting them first and foremost - in opposition to how Mei Mei lives - talks about her with respect.

At first, this looks strange and extremely at odds with Yuji's good ending where he takes over Gojo's role. And it's not like Yuji hasn't seen the relationship between Mei Mei and Ui Ui, his funny faces during those instances attest to that.
But it's only that: funny faces. On one hand, it's understandable because no one except the reader saw the bed scene in Malaysia. Nothing much except suggestion happened there but this story is also told for the readers so it should've been addressed somewhere in the narrative that Mei Mei is highly manipulative of a teenager in her care (she might care for him but his usefulness to her comes first.)
While Mei Mei was mostly absent during the Culling Game arc, she came back without any changes to the Shinjuku battle. Then came the scene at the airport where Nanami talks about an important conversation he had with her. Going North or South is a Buddhistic phylosophical question, which further complicates her character that has to 90% been driven by self interest at this point.
For the narrative and themes of JJK she's a conundrum best explained by the philospohy of sorcerers that come up every so often. She's not a hero and is motivated by something other than alltruism, something that's basically expected from sorcerers, in other words she actually fits into the mold. What let's her stand out is being the most grey character on Yuji's side somewhere together with Kashimo.
But Kashimo died and the ending of JJK was one where ALL conflicts had been closed and/or neutralized in some way except for her. Her gray character was actually emphasized in chapter 269 by the flashback where she went to the head of the NSS to kill her.
So there is this strange fissure between the "overly good ending" and her coming out of it as one of the biggest winners. BUT there is also the obvious parallels with Gojo. He too went to some old people and killed them for his own gain which was his dream for a better future for sorcerers.
He had expressed the desire to kill them right from the beginning so it has always been in his character to do just that and the same can be said for Mei Mei. They're both self-serving like that and it had always been Gojo who paid Mei Mei to be on his side while she was also a friend to him and the others (Utahime, Nanami) in certain times.
But so if Gojo's dream is accepting of her then where does the fissure of her inclsuon come from? From Yuji in my opinion. Yes, he only ever made funny faces at her and Ui Ui's interactions that we - the readers - know goes a bit further than that. But Yuji is still the only character on page who acknowledges that problem. (By making Mei Mei and Nanami short-time foils to each other in Shibuya, the narrative also acknowledges this however.)
The conclusion I came to in regards to her after reading the end of JJK, is a subtextual hint that Yuji is not going to live Gojo's dream as his sensei had envisioned it but that he will improve on that dream and for example incorporate Nanami's protection of children into it but he'll also add his own vision of not being a cog in the machine (which in Ui Ui's case would be about being a manipulated tool for someone else.)
In a potential post-ch.271 future this would mean that Mei Mei would become an antagonist to Yuji at some point which would give her and Ui Ui the perfect opportunity for some character arc and growth.

Idk, man. The bottom line of all this discourse is that Corpos are not your friend, not even game devs.
Their job is literally to sell you something and if you mistake that for being an “ally” I don’t know what to tell you. I guarantee they will change with whatever is popular in the moment.
That isn’t being an ally it’s exploitation.
Stop taking criticism as a personal attack. With that being said there are ways to criticize something without being an ass.
Someone’s gender identity should have nothing to do with it and it is best left out of the conversation. This, Dragon Age, is a group fuck up and should not be laid at the feet of one person.
Annnnd, I’m sorry, but if you use her identity as a shield for criticism you’re just kind of scummy too, obvious transphobic ick aside, not every bit of criticism is driven by weirdos.
DA:2 and Inquisition both got a heavy amount of criticism as well. Never once did anyone use David as a fucking meat shield against it.
Humans make mistakes. Developers make bad games. Giving them back pats just because you think you need to is silly.
Don’t buy the game if you think it’s bad and don’t let dumb fucks try to silence your opinion. Don’t buy the game because you feel like you have to.
And if people enjoy it, fucking let them. If people don’t, let them do that too.
Ultimately, I think the game will fail. It won’t be because “woke”, surgery scars and pronouns. It will be because the art, combat, Frostbite and the dumbing down of the franchise was a mistake.
Why should I trust there’s a good story here when you couldn’t be bothered with the stage dressing?
Or the awful animations you hid under the criminal use of glow and sparkle?
Or that the UI is an actual crime against humanity?
youtube
Or the darkspawn that absolutely could have been reused assets being turned into what the fuck ever this is:
Be really honest with yourself here because 70.00 is a lot of a game. Is it really worth that much?
Are you being honest when you say this looks like a “good” game or are you just saying that because you feel like you need to support it because of political views?
There are good reasons why this game is not hype. There are good reasons for why it’s not doing particularly well in preorder a little over a month til release. The game is in a shockingly low spot on Steam.
This should have been an easy win for BioWare, but it’s not.

how does duolingo suck?
I'm going to assume this is a genuine question in good faith!
In general, I do not think that DL is effective for achieving linguistic fluency. However, fluency is not everything and is not everyone's end goal! It can be a great introduction to many languages and get people fired up about starting to learn a new language—all which are good things. Before I address the recent problematic changes to the app that make it "suck", I want to be clear that even before it really wasn't that great. It had a good UI, constant expansion, and a very enthusiastic marketing team, but none of those are really important to actual language learning. Outside of popular European languages (Spanish/French/German) the quality is incredibly hit or miss. When I started learning Chinese I checked out DL and it was just not good! It's pretty common knowledge that DL is not good for learning non-latin based languages. Not to mention that the levels in those languages do not get you far. I was able to do speed runs of the Chinese course for fun early on in learning Chinese because it tops out at about HSK 3. (If you're unfamiliar with the HSK system, real Chinese "fluency" is HSK 6+ depending on if you're going by HSK 3.0 or not.)
The reason the post I made took off now is a combination of profit-driven decisions made by DL in the past year, culminating with laying off actual translators—a field I happen to be in!
The major decisions I'm referring to above are the following:
The "pausing" of the Welsh course and ending the partnership with the Welsh government. The National Centre for Learning Welsh did wish to continue the partnership, stating "Should Duolingo change its policy the centre would be happy to help with the work of developing the Welsh course,". Languages that offer business partnerships, like High Valyrian, don't get paused.
Removal of Forums and Sentence Discussions. Because DL never truly "teaches" you grammar, you are expected to pick it up from pattern association and repetition. This would work fine if languages weren't complex and notorious for having exceptions. These spaces were places for people to better understand the language, but that's not a profitable thing! It's more profitable to charge people to have an AI "explain" a sentence. Also people liked DL for the community aspects! Native speakers could answer your questions and you could joke about how wacky a sentence was.
Final nail in the coffin:
Pivot to AI and laying off translators. For the record, I don't think AI is innately evil. I think in moderation it can be helpful and if an app's upgraded tier is just AI chat then whatever. However, as a translator, I can tell you that it just doesn't work well. Having done post-editing of AI translations, it just sucks. It makes mistakes humans would never make and trying to unravel them is a pain. When I edit a human's translation, I can figure out what they were thinking and how they got it from the text. AI translations frequently just... skip parts that don't make sense to it. DL had already integrated AI into the app on a premium content basis, but now it's fully hit users that never asked for it. I've seen a lot of people talking about how their language is having mistakes now. People want to use DL to learn a language, and if the app is teaching them the language wrong that is a huge problem. It is unlikely that DL will be satisfied with this, but rather continue to replace as much of its workforce as possible with AI.
In short: Duolingo's first priority is bringing profits and shiny objects like AI to dangle in front of its shareholders. That is what makes Duolingo suck.

🔥 Hour of Punishment – 罰の時間 (Batsu no Jikan) | An Orthodox Horror RPG That Doesn’t Want You to Play It 🔥
Imagine a PS1-style Orthodox horror RPG, not designed for fun, but to test you. A game that doesn’t just challenge your skills, but your endurance, your honesty, your soul.
This is Hour of Punishment – 罰の時間. A dungeon-crawling nightmare where your own sins shape your suffering.
THE CONCEPT
You awaken in an Iranian prison, but the walls are wrong—they breathe, they shift, they whisper. You have no memory of why you’re here. But something else does. Something watches. Something judges.
Your only tools are a rusted iron cross, a tattered Bible, and your own will to endure.
THE AI-DRIVEN CONFESSION SYSTEM
Before you begin, the game forces you to confess.
You must answer 100 personal questions about sin, faith, and morality.
No gibberish allowed. Answers must be full sentences in Japanese or English.
An advanced AI detects deception. If you lie, the game marks you.
If your confession is sincere, the game acknowledges it.
Some demons will ignore you, knowing you are already suffering.
Saints will show mercy and guide you toward truth.
You may be given the title of “Yurodivy” (Fool-for-Christ), allowing you to see things others cannot.
But if you lie, cheat, or evade responsibility…
Angels will refuse to help.
Demons will become more aggressive.
You may wake up in Hades Mode—a version of the game where no salvation exists.
YOUR SINS BECOME YOUR PUNISHMENT
Whatever sins you admitted to manifest in gameplay.
☦ Lust – Your vision is permanently blurred. Demons take on disturbing, tempting forms, whispering in your ear. If you give in, the screen flashes red, and you are sent back to the start.
☦ Murder – The dead follow you. Sometimes, you see them in mirrors. Sometimes, they whisper names you don’t recognize. But they know you.
☦ Cowardice – Your prayer button is disabled. Until you perform an extreme act of faith, you cannot ask for divine help.
☦ Pride – False angels appear constantly. If you fail to recognize them as deceivers, you will be led into heresy.
☦ Apostasy – The game world becomes unstable. The walls shift, textures warp, icons bleed, and prayers play backward. You cannot trust anything.
☦ Blasphemy – The saints ignore you. Your journal, which holds spiritual guidance, becomes corrupted. Pages vanish, text reverses. You are truly alone.
The game does not need to invent punishments. It simply shows you what was already inside you.
PRAYER, EXORCISM, AND SURVIVAL
L1 + R1 triggers the Jesus Prayer, which slows time but drains stamina.
L2 opens your journal, which must be used to identify false angels before they trick you.
Select + Triangle begins an exorcism, but if you perform it incorrectly, the demon only grows stronger.
Some enemies cannot be fought. You must recognize when to kneel and pray, and when to run.
If you die, the game does not reload. Instead, an angel appears over your corpse.
If you died righteously, it offers you a second chance.
If you died in sin, the angel waits in silence. Then, it asks: "Do you repent?"
If you refuse, the screen fades to black. Your save is deleted.
THE FINAL BOSS: NOTHINGNESS
After everything—the deception, the demons, the suffering—you reach the final test.
There is nothing here.
No music.
No enemies.
No UI.
No weapons.
No escape.
The game forces you to sit in silence. You are expected to wait, endure, exist.
There is no final battle. This is simply the first week of true spiritual training.
After an indefinite amount of time, your character collapses from exhaustion. The screen fades to black.
THE FINAL MESSAGE – CONTACT YOUR BISHOP & STOP PLAYING
When the screen fades back in, the final text appears:
☦ "You have endured. This is enough." 📍 "Here is your nearest True Orthodox Church." 📜 "Contact your bishop. Stop playing this game."
At that moment, a real 1934 Valaam Liturgy recording plays over a black screen.
The credits do not list “developers.” Instead, they list:
"Servant: [Your Name]"
"Servant: [Those who labored in making this game]"
"The True Creator: The Giver of Life, The Holy Spirit, The Comforter."
When the liturgy ends, the game forcefully quits.
If you restart it, it is gone.
If you attempt to replay, Hades Mode begins.
If you refuse to stop playing, the game hard-locks and corrupts your save.
This game does not want to be played more than once. This is not a game to grind, win, or collect trophies. It is a trial to be endured, and then left behind.
💀 "You beat it once. Now stop playing." 💀

image in the middle my art, all others except for that of the belfast 14th july celebrations from pinterest
WIP Reintro: Red and Riotous Light
Status: seven morbillionth draft
Genre: historical fiction, gothic horror
Content warnings: gore, death, cannibalism, place & time typical bigotry, &c
The year is 1796 and the island of Ireland, once considered peaceable, is awash with sedition. In Belfast, the arrival of a mysterious Englishwoman whose defection to the French makes her a target of both curiosity and suspicion brings with her tidings of a prospective deal between a local United Irish cell and the French government: guns, and ammunition, sold at a premium price, delivered by a French ship. The only problem? The ship is arriving at the opposite side of the country, and these would-be insurgents need it where they are -- and the French said nothing about transport. Additionally, the committee seems to have had a suspicious number of brushes with authority lately. More than they used to. Hopefully someone isn't getting cold feet...
Meanwhile, in the isolated townland of Áth Síomóin, the arrival of a hapless new schoolmaster sparks the powder-keg the two sides of the area's sectarian divide have long been sitting on and leads, inadvertently, to the death of a Catholic of some consequence -- and, crucially, does not lead to the punishment of his killer. The resulting crackdown on Defender activity, facilitated by the arrival of another English visitor, is to be expected at first. However, as the situation deteriorates, it becomes clear that local agrarian resistance leaders have neither intent nor indeed means to capitulate, and all sides begin to adopt increasingly extreme measures in an attempt to win the seemingly endless feud. And there's also something off about some of the local children -- hearing voices, saying funny things. It can't be good for them, after all. All this bloodshed.
Ask to be +/- from the taglist + main characters under the cut
William Hughes Rearden - an extremely driven and neurotic member of the Belfast United Irishmen hellbent on getting French arms for his men. he/him
Lady Maria Whittaker - an English reformer who defected to the French; Rearden's close friend. Her mission is to arm the UI and she doesn't care what she has to do to accomplish it. she/her; first name pronounced "mariah"
Seamus "Seamy" Breen - a small, unhappy Irish Catholic boy who, after he witnesses the death of a schoolmate, develops the ability to speak to the dead. he/him; nickname pronounced "shaymie"
Eoin O'Donnell - a womanising Defender leader in Áth Síomóin who has decided that he will also be taking and using some of these French arms, actually. he/him; first name pronounced "owen"
Sarah Connolly - a nihilistic Catholic peasant woman trapped in an unhappy relationship with an abusive boyfriend, who knows much more than she lets on. she/her
Edward "Lazarus" McClure - the loyalist owner of a rural inn who has lately betrayed his principles for a Catholic boyfriend who he seems disturbingly devoted to. he/him
Elizabeth "Eliza" Durham - the heiress to the fortune of an Anglo-Irish landowning family who runs her family's estate like it's the navy and suffers little dissent. she/her
Anthony Franklin - an actor, committed abolitionist, philosophy enthusiast, and London Corresponding Society delegate originally from the West Indies. he/him
Charles Nathaniel Maurice Irving-Hamilton, Lord Drenning - a foppish English soldier brought over by Eliza to help quell agrarian disturbances. Really really bad at his job. he/him
Eleanor "Ellie" Gage - a waif of uncertain background who lives with the Presbyterian minister in a neighbouring townland and works unofficially for the local regiment. she/her

How does AI contribute to the automation of software testing?
AI-Based Testing Services
In today’s modern rapid growing software development competitive market, ensuring and assuming quality while keeping up with fast release cycles is challenging and a vital part. That’s where AI-Based Testing comes into play and role. Artificial Intelligence - Ai is changing the software testing and checking process by making it a faster, smarter, and more accurate option to go for.
Smart Test Case Generation:
AI can automatically & on its own analyze past test results, user behavior, and application logic to generate relevant test cases with its implementation. This reduces the burden on QA teams, saves time, and assures that the key user and scenarios are always covered—something manual processes might overlook and forget.
Faster Bug Detection and Resolution:
AI-Based Testing leverages the machine learning algorithms to detect the defects more efficiently by identifying the code patterns and anomalies in the code behavior and structure. This proactive approach helps and assists the testers to catch the bugs as early as possible in the development cycle, improving product quality and reducing the cost of fixes.
Improved Test Maintenance:
Even a small or minor UI change can break or last the multiple test scripts in traditional automation with its adaptation. The AI models can adapt to these changes, self-heal broken scripts, and update them automatically. This makes test maintenance less time-consuming and more reliable.
Enhanced Test Coverage:
AI assures that broader test coverage and areas are covered by simulating the realtime-user interactions and analyzing vast present datasets into the scenario. It aids to identify the edge cases and potential issues that might not be obvious to human testers. As a result, AI-based testing significantly reduces the risk of bugs in production.
Predictive Analytics for Risk Management:
AI tools and its features can analyze the historical testing data to predict areas of the application or product crafted that are more likely to fail. This insight helps the teams to prioritize their testing efforts, optimize resources, and make better decisions throughout the development lifecycle.
Seamless Integration with Agile and DevOps:
AI-powered testing tools are built to support continuous testing environments. They integrate seamlessly with CI/CD pipelines, enabling faster feedback, quick deployment, and improved collaboration between development and QA teams.
Top technology providers like Suma Soft, IBM, Cyntexa, and Cignex lead the way in AI-Based Testing solutions. They offer and assist with customized services that help the businesses to automate down the Testing process, improve the software quality, and accelerate time to market with advanced AI-driven tools.
