Valhalla is technically a live service game at this point, so I was indifferent to the recent AC news until I realized who Ubi puts in charge for this project, Ubi why are these abusers still in leadership? (this is a rhetorical question btw I hope the lawsuit went through and Ubi lost)

Another thing from the Bloomberg article is I knew from a while back that the reason Eivor and Kassandra didn't meet was due to "petty rivalry" between Montreal and Quebec team. And now this rivalry nature is confirmed, "there has long been a rivalry between the two studios that has at times turned acrimonious". Quebec is more of a RPG studio whereas Montreal is more of an OG studio, but now Quebec is in charge going forward, this is gonna be interesting indeed, but I can see full RPG direction ahead cuz ka-ching.

What I find funny is Ghost of Tsushima is trending (again) as the best recent AC game, despite not having anything about the creed, parkour, modern day, or Isu (which makes you wonder if those elements are even relevant to players anymore), I'm glad GoT has shown that Ubi is no longer the sole provider for historical fantasy RPG game genre and it did so without mtx and a free mp mode also w/o mtx.
