I've been following Hanza since back when they were making my deepest secret, so I've seen the development of the guy upstairs first hand and how hanza writes it. Even back in the concept stages, it was so blatantly clear that it was supposed to be a thriller/cat mouse vibe where Adam (killer) was horrible and not to be rooted for. They've compared him to irl serial killers and how those guys will often use women as shields to hide their true selves from the public and how that's messed up and bad to do.

They've shown Adam as a horrible irredeemable person and honestly there's little to no nuance with how they handle it, but that makes sense because how else can you handle an audience like what they've gotten without beating them over the head with the facts. How many ways can you outright show your main character despising and wanting to yank their best friend out of the jaws of a murderer before the audience realizes its not foreplay.

I think them going from an actual romance to a fully thriller non romantic story meant that the residual audience expected some kind of messy toxic romance, but Rozy to me has always explicitly read as Queer so idk why people aren't getting the hint.

I get their frustration and it seems like they might be shifting into a potiential issekai romance about a grandad and a middle aged woman who got reincarnated as his grandson's fiance (hard to explain but its hilarious if you want to check it out) without any thriller elements from their recent non comic posts. Whatever they do I hope they can find something to be passionate about again.

And yeah, I've seen posts shared in the /r/webtoons sub from other blogs claiming that Hanza was being an awful person for "taking people's money" and "baiting them" into reading a dark romance story when that's very obviously not what it is? Even one excerpt that was literally like-

And I just... since when is any romance plotline that ISN'T abusive and problematic at its core (such as between a serial killer and a victim) considered "super conservative" and "pure"? It's really baffling to me how people have gone so far in the opposite direction of "purity culture" that they've started arguing on behalf of legitimately harmful and toxic relationships. It's extremely concerning especially when you know the majority of people saying this shit are between the ages of 16-21. IDK what the fuck we're doing anymore when it comes to the romance genre (and TGU isn't even a romance ffs).

Aaaand yeah in relation to where the Hanza topic came up, that's really why I'm moving away from WT as an audience and why I don't consider it a "loss" to not use WT anymore. Once upon a time I wished for Time Gate to be a contracted series, for it to have thousands of readers and be my job. But seeing what's going on with Hanza's work just informs me that I'd be dealing with a lot of the same shit - people expecting Uzuki and Mitsuhiro to be the endgame of the romance when they're literally NOT good for each other, which is the POINT. Like sure, unlike the main duo in TGU, they actually are a couple with a 'relationship' but it's not meant to be healthy and the last thing I need are 15 year olds thinking they're "couple goals". If you ship them in fanfic or w/e the fuck that's fine but please don't get mad at me when they don't wind up being the endgame couple, they're both terrible people and make each other worse when they're around each other (・_・;)

Either way yeah, I don't blame Hanza in the slightest for getting so frustrated with it all that they'd rather just be done with it. It sucks for the more loyal and sane part of their audience that the series is gonna be ripped out from under them like that, but at the end of the day if the creator is being harassed and decide they're done as a result of it... why should they have to keep putting up with bullshit just for a comic? I don't even blame Rachel if she was ending LO by choice due to the noise of the fandom, and unlike Rachel, I don't have anything in the slightest against Hanza or their work LOL But I also don't have the full picture on it all so maybe my opinion will change if I find out more about it. I just don't think any of this shit is worth directly harassing a human being over.

That said, can't get any better than someone who's read their work since before TGU, so again, thank you !

Choices Insiders January 2024

Happy new year everyone! Hope you all enjoyed and are looking forward to the year ahead!

Actually back this time with this month's Insiders. Apologies for not doing my normal post on the December Insiders, but I was just too ill to be able to focus so decided it was best to leave it.

Anyway! Here we go. New year, new post.

So I chose other and this is what I put;

I haven't seen anything on Unbridled as to what people think of it, so I won't say much. I'll give it a go when it begins it's release and see what it's like.

So slight confession with both of these. I've only got to the first two chapters of Ship of Dreams when it began it's release and I've only played the first Chapter of Cursed Heart 2. It's that thing of forgetting one week and then just keep forgetting. I am planning to catch up with it over the weekend as I am intrigued by it and even though for me it's only been one chapter, I'm interested by new characters Oleander and Jack.

I never actually attempted this. I had thought about it, but I can't remember why, but I decided not to have a go. Congrats to those who saw it all the way through!

I haven't played DnD in years, last time was not long before everything hit and my friends and I could no longer meet up to do so. But if we do decide to, I may have a look at the sheets on the wiki and pop a character in to play as haha

Having seen the official cover for Hot Shot, I know which one was used. But to be honest, a majority of covers these days are very similar, so I don't think much.

One thing I would be interested to know is what lead to choosing Ice Hockey as the sport.

Given that they mentioned the shower in particular, I'm guessing there is a scene with the MC and Love Interest in the shower.

The third image makes me think that it is going to be from the CG that is usually seen in the first chapter. Maybe the Love Interest intercepting it or something...

Putting these two as I wanted to discuss a couple things about Blades 3. Firstly, I am surprised a BK3 is happening. This one I feel is the final one as usually they only go up to 3. The second bit is that I am surprised at how early it has been currently scheduled. I can see it changing as it did happen with BK2, but yeah. Same with Crimes 3 to be honest on both points.

Okay, so a couple of new titles, but first I want to speak about The Deadliest Game as when I opened up this morning, I found out about the VIP Exclusive prequel. It has me wondering if we will see this more often or if it just a one off. It does mean though that it looks like it has something related to gambling.

Right, next up is Along Came Treble and The Ghost of Us which were announced last month. I've seen people say about how it is a music book (maybe it's meant to be a mature version of Platinum). I'll give it a go when it begins it's wide release.

The Ghost of Us sounds like a book that could be a book set in two time periods about two lovers reincarnated and their ghosts of their past selves guiding them to the other. Not much information other than the title to go on at the moment.

So the first new new title here is Filthy Rich, and to be honest, it screams that it's a more mature book.

The other new title is Hearts of Fire. I think I remember them saying about a Firefighter book at somepoint last year, and here it is.

But before all of that, there is Immortal Desires 2. I am really looking forward to this one. It was such a welcome surprise to see the 180 and have a sequel greenlit. Looking forward to more Gabriela and curious to see who the villains of this one are.

First Wide Release isn't until next month. I am curious as to why it got pushed back, maybe they're trying to keep with their VIP release schedule and keep double month releases together...

The Truth and What is Going to Happen After

Are they Satanists? Are they witches? How in the hell are we able to do these things? Did they sell their souls to the devil for power? I am about to finally answer some of your burning questions. What am I? Well, I am a Grim Reaper. I am Death. Why am I here? I am here for Judgement Day. Yes, that's right, I said JUDGEMENT DAY.(I bet you didn't see that one coming!) It's only that pesky event that people have been harping about over and over again since the dawn of time. As it turns out, this event IS going to happen after all. I am here to tell you exactly what will happen AFTER the shit storm that takes place on the Earth. When my time is up and I keel over here, it is my job to capture the souls that they do not want upstairs. I am in charge of sorting through the souls, weeding out the good souls from the bad souls. I get to say who stays and who goes. I will not be working alone. I will be working VERY, VERY closely with a "spirit" team that consists of demons, devils, witches, what you people would consider "aliens", and a few other surprise guests. The event will take place right here on Earth. I am positive that some psychics and really sensitive people may catch glimpses of it while they are still alive. I am also sure that some can catch EVPS and/or video from time to time as well. Besides that, the only other way to see it will be when your time is up and you step out of your body. There will be what looks like clear glass shipping containers, holding cells, and pits right there waiting for the bad souls. I have already begun "marking" souls for capture. What do I mean by marking souls? Remember the story of Cain and Abel? Cain was marked so that others would not kill him. I am marking souls so that my spirit team will know which ones are to be captured and tortured. Would you believe that there are people that are stupid enough to come right over and make themselves known to us? They are not very bright. We have already marked quite a few of them. Once our spirit team sees a soul that is "marked" by me, that soul will be captured, tortured, and beaten until I personally tear them apart. Once the soul is torn apart it will be consumed by "creatures" and will cease to exist. Souls that made it to the "heaven" area and do not belong there will suffer the same fate. The "good" souls that are left will have their memory wiped and reincarnate back through. We are here to "clean up" the mess. Haven't you ever wondered why there were so many spirits and entities just hanging around here on Earth?? A majority of them are waiting here for this very event. They knew it was going to happen. I am pretty much excited and can't wait to get started. Most importantly, I get to finally give these spirits what they want. They have been waiting for justice and revenge/vengeance for such a long time. Now they will finally have full permission to pretty much do what they want with the unwanted souls. To me this is like one huge party worldwide over the span of many years, and I get to host it! How freaking cool is that? I think my party needs a cool name to go with it. How about the - We will bash your freaking brains in festival? I think it's a cool temporary name for now.🤣 You get the idea. And what about Alicia you ask? Well, I guess you could say I saved the best part for last. (Now I certainly did not forget about Alicia in all of this!) She will play a HUGE role in the festivities, of course. Why, I guess that you could say that she will be my "assistant manager" in all of this. She was carefully hand selected, chosen if you will, to add just the right amount of hostility, muscle, forcefulness, and her own flair of expertise to the job. They really couldn't have picked a better maniac to assist me during all of this. 👽🛸 Those of you who know her, I am sure would agree with me on that one. 😉 I think that I can safely say that we are all looking forward to "taking out the trash" real soon!

Some basic info on the reincarnated ninja/Lloyd's pupils/Lloyd's kids.

Megan "Meg" Ash - the reincarnation of Kai. Spent most of her life on the streets due to being abandoned at a very young age, but quickly adapted to the rough lifestyle by stealing and pickpocketing. The last one Lloyd recruits, she tries to pickpocket the Green Ninja, but made the mistake of trying to pickpocket the Green Ninja. At first she's a bit of a lone wolf, mostly keeping to herself, but as time goes on she opens up more to her team and master, showing she isn't all closed off. Would die for her new found family, if anyone hurt them she'd incinerate on sight. Is 16 years old at time of ninja recruitment. Weilds a staff

Iris Flocon - the reincarnation of Zane. Close with her mum, dad gone. Attended the same dance school Cole dropped out of but unlike him she stayed cuz she enjoys ballet and is a prodiegy at it. Her mum can be a bit of a worry wort, but she only want's to make sure her daughter is happy. She likes to practice dancing on the frozen icelakes in the middle of the night, it is on one of these nights Lloyd finds her. Her way of fighting is unique, incorperating her skills in ballet to nimbly dodge attacks and strike when the enemies guard is down. Iris tends to be one of the more responsible members of the team, and is a bit of a perfectionist who works too hard. The others have to remind her a lot to relax, so she does so by gorging a tub of ice-cream and watching cartoons. She is the closest with Meg. She is 16 years old at time of ninja recriutment. Chakrams are her weapon of choice.

Theodore "Theo" Caleo - the reincarnation of Morro. Complete opposite of his ancestor, Theo is a go with the flow free spirit who couldn't give two fs over what's going on. Before he was a ninja, Theo was a sailor. Well, he worked on a ship his dad was the captain of. He mostly was on navigation. Freedom is one of Theo's favourite things, next to pirates. He always dreamed of becoming a swashbuckling adventuer of the sea, discovering uncharted lands, fighting crooks, getting treasure. Being a ninja is sorta like that, so he was easy for Lloyd to recruit. Easily the most chill guy to be around. Despite his laid-back personality, he is a nimble fighter. He's 15 at the time of ninja recruitment. Dual cutlass blades are his weapons of choice.

Milo Haystay - the reincarnation of Cole. The youngest member of the team and twin to Layla. He lived on a farm far from any big cities with his twin and grandparents. He mostly tended to the animals and gets along well with animals better than people. When he's not busy with the animals, he's gardening. When he's not gardening, he's reading. He only became a ninja because Layla wanted to, good thing Lloyd needed both of them. He's not the most confident in his fighting abilities, but when it comes to tactics and plans he's easily the best. But you know what they say about messing with the quiet ones. He gets on well with Garmadon due to both of them enjoying to garden. He is 12 when he joins the ninja. Fist fighting knuckles are his weapon of choice.

Layla Haystay - the reincarnation of Jay. An irrespobsible gremlin child who thrives of chaos and the older Haystay twin. On the farm she spends most of her time in a rickity old barn tinkering with the vheicles or creating mini weapons of desteuction from whatever junk she scavenges from around the area. Most of the time these creations end in either an explosion of Layla getting electrecuted. Through she can get a little hasty, impatient and angry when things don't go her way. When she first met Lloyd, she said yes without any hesitation. Though blue is not her colour, so she breaks the rules by dying her ninja gi a more fitting purple. She doesn't care if it's the traditional colour, there's already enough blue on the team. Layla mostly make all the ninjas vheicles and other tech. She is 12 when she's recriuited. She weilds daggers

Taiyo Riverbend -the reincarnation of Nya. Taiyo lived a fairly normal life with his family, until he discovered his powers. He could feel something call out him, but he didn't know what. Taiyo decided to follow the call, leaving his family without a word the dead of night. He began to wander Ninjago, searching for that call and his purpose in life. One day he stumbled upon the Monestary of Spinjitzu, and wondered if this was where the call came from. It did not, but Lloyd offered the boy sanctuary abd shelter. Taiyo decided to stay at the monestary, wanting to hone his new found powers and figure out his purpose, becoming Lloyd's first student. Taiyo is the defacto leader of the ninja, often argues with Meg over the title of leader. He was 14 when he stumbled upon the Monestary. Spears are his weapon of choice

11. Entrustshipping, I am sorry, that Is just the best side ship in Yugioh, and I can't help, but love both of them in that ship.

Eega - 9, taking out one point because it's kinda creepy for him to be so attached to her without her ever communicating directly with him... 9 because Eega is not Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu...! That movie shaved off twenty years off my lifespan and not even Raja gari music can save that one. Eega on the other hand is pure poetry (if you're into rock and roll)

Bahubali 1 - 4, SHE. IS. A. SOLDIER. It is not upto him to take on her mission. And she shouldn't WANT to let him take it off her shoulders. C'mon don't turn one of the strongest characters you've ever written into a plot point only for elevating the hero. NO.

Bahubali 2 - 5 (i am tempted to give it a 3, but prabhas and sweety have chemistry) SHE. IS. A. WARRIOR. PRINCESS. OF. HER. OWN. NATION. She is badass (arrogant, but badass) but seriously can't y'all ever sit down and talk with Sivagami? She's a kween, she can handle that her favorite son got married to her favorite choice... Sivagami and Devasena are made out of the same cloth. Only, Sivagami had the traumatic childhood to rectify her behaviour while Devasena had not. (maybe I just don't like the way Devasena was written outside of her lover arc. i'm sorry)

RRR - 6 if they would have been developed better. Sita barely had any screentime but she's the embodiment of every army wife I've known. She's brave, she's understanding, she supports her bava, she's smart af (prolly smarter than emo Ram over here). Jenny is... well she's Elizabeth 2.0 but we're going to overlook that. She's a smol bean and she's the correct smol bean for Bheem.

Fanfiction Trope Meme

Stolen from @pigeontheoneandonly, who I don't know at all. Saw it in their blog and went "I like these questions". Rules: copy/past and bold your fic preferences and tag someone to do the same. I don't ever explicitly tag people because I don't want anyone to feel put on the spot when they could be having a bad week/month/year. I'm interested in all my friends' answers, so answer the questions if you want to.

slow burn or love at first sight. (Good question. I tend to think that love at first sight is unrealistic, because you only know what someone looks like, not who they really are. So I suppose I prefer slow burn where the affection grows as the people get to know each other.)

fake dating or secret dating. (Ugh, I like both! Though secret dating wins with Klapollo - dating in secret because Klavier's a rock star and they don't want the tabloid hassle.)

enemies to lovers or best friends to lovers. (This is how my relationships have worked in real life. We've always been friends first - at least for the relationships that have actually LASTED.)

Though - I say that, and I would still absolutely love to read a story where Trucy (aged 25+) offers to be the surrogate for Klavier and Apollo, since she is Apollo's sister and has the most similar genetic makeup to him. I guess I'm more interested in the negotiations (will they accept it? Does Klavier even WANT children which are genetically his considering how Kristoph turned out?) than the actual part where a baby exists.)

Finished watching Ashes of Love and have a need to ramble.

OK so first off I literally only watched this show because YT suggested me a live video of Zhou Shen performing the end theme with Sa Dingding and the lyrics made me think of hualian so I decided this is a show I can get behind.

Then I looked up the cast and saw Deng Lun was in it, and I’d enjoyed his character in Yin Yang Master: Dream of Eternity so figured I’d give this drama a try too.

Also have to note that watching this I understand how Luo Yunxi got cast as Chu Wanning in Immortality because holy shit?!?!

Seeing him play RunYu (and YanYou pretending to be RunYu) was a fucking delight. RunYu is such a multi-faceted character who undergoes such dramatic changes of personality shows so much emotion, and LYX nailed it every damn time.

Anyway. On to rambling about actual plot and stuff...

Was pretty much Team RunYu the entire way through. I just... couldn’t find myself caring about XuFeng? He was most likeable in the arc where he and JinMi were experiencing hardships in the Human Realm, but other than that just... eh. Whereas RunYu seemed like such a sweet soft boy at first (ahaha)

JinMi totally fell for the wrong guy (once she could fall for someone) !!!

I mean yeah XuFeng is righteous and courageous and whatnot but look at all RunYu did for and gave her. Like holy shit, how much would he have sacrificed for her sake???

At the same time he went full on yandere at one point and that does not deserve reward like jesus christ RunYu chill.

And also he’s a dumbass. It was kind of disappointing at the end that he’s sitting in the Heavenly Realm being all miserable and alone when like. KuangLu and Beast of Dreams are both Right There. And KuangLu had repeatedly pledged her unending loyalty to him.

I mean I guess there’s meant to be parallels with RunYu’s unrequited love for JinMi and KuangLu’s unrequited love for RunYu but UGH. At least acknowledge that you aren’t entirely unloved and alone, stupid dragon! dsfkshgl

Aside from them, omg Liuying and Muci.

They deserved better, damn it

I really enjoyed their story and cared about them and what happened with them a lot more than I cared about the XuFeng/JinMi ship. Muci is such a sweet character, I loved his quietness/stoicism and slight awkwardness in comparison to Liuying being so much more forward and badass.

But they deserved better. Like a fuck ton better. Find each other in the next incarnation, damn it.

Also was it just me or did YanYou and MatchMaker just not appear in the last few eps?

Like is the last we saw of them seriously them in the Floral Realm being sad that JinMi was dead???? In that last episode, wouldn’t MatchMaker be like... aware that JinMi was in the Human Realm living her best reincarnated life with XuFeng??? Being that he’s like... in charge of human marriage and stuff???

As for YanYou I just want to know what happened to him, at the start of the drama he seemed like he would be such a trouble maker but he turned out to be such a good boy.

I loved those two characters in particular (along with Runyu, haha) so it was pretty disappointing not to see them amidst the others during those last ‘tying up loose ends’ kind of scenes. =/

Also loved MatchMaker and YuanJi messing around, would have liked to have seen more of those two

...but I’m judging Yanyou for having a thing for Suihe like sure she has great makeup and some of the best costumes but damn Yanyou, seriously??? (Also where the fuck did that storyline come from so late in the drama??? I’m assuming it’s more important in the novel and doesn’t come across like some random Extra Ship thrown in at the last minute?)

Also LiaoYuan? That poor guy did not get paid enough and then he died. Boo.

AND. A little grumble that Netflix subs did a disservice to the scene towards the end (ep 62? 63?) where XuFeng and RunYu are talking outside [human realm place where human! XF & JM met] 3 years after JinMi’s death, and RunYu walks away to leave and XuFeng calls out to him, ‘Ge.’

But Netflix just subbed it as ‘Runyu’

I know that stuff like ‘ge’, ‘gege’ and so on is hard to translate to English (and honestly I know like zero Chinese so I may be talking out of my ass) but just using Runyu’s name kind of detracted from the significance of XuFeng calling out to him?

Like... after the last 60-odd episodes of drama, fighting, hatred and misunderstanding, and they’re on speaking terms and their relationship is kind of healing so like... XuFeng calling him ‘Ge’ feels really significant in comparison to just calling him by name =/

My Favourite 007 Headcanons

Based on this Instagram post I posted a while ago.

1) 007 and 006

We all know Alec Trevelyan (even if I haven't watched this movie in more or less three years). He is the agent 006 who at some point happens to betray 007 in GoldenEye.

Some fans have started shipping Brosnan's 007 and Alec Trevelyan, making them the most lethal ship I've ever heard of.

I happened to read an exquisite Fanfiction in which Q always refused to introduce his family to James (who was his lover). Obviously, Bond got pretty mistrustful of the entire situation and decided to secretly follow Q when he went visiting his parents. Bond fell into a trap, literally speaking, and found himself in front of the former 007 (Pierce Brosnan) and Alec Trevelyan.

I have no idea about how the author dealt with Alec's betray, but that's not really important for the post anyway.

After a talk with Q and his family, Bond found out some things:

The former 007 and 006 were engaged (the ship I previously talked about);

Q 007's biological son and 006's stepson;

Q has a step sister, who's 006's biological daughter.

The best part of the Fanfiction was that no one in the family happened to be straight.

After this, I immediately loved the idea of 007 and 006 being engaged and raising Q together, mostly because it gave an explanation to the quartermaster's skills at dealing with Bond's daily shit and everything.

This is the Fanfiction.

2) Tanner and Q

I'm not actually sure whether I have a real position about this Headcanon, nor if I actually like it, but I suppose it could make sense.

I once happened to read a Fanfiction (again) in which they gave to understand that Q and Tanner had been in a relationship in the past.

I mean, why not?

According to this Headcanon, Q and Tanner used to be together when Q still wasn't working for MI6 or had not earned an high position yet; they eventually broke up due to professionalism matters or because they agreed the relationship couldn't have quite worked.

I have honestly never thought about Tanner as queer, I have thought for years that he always came home to his wife or girlfriend after the workshift was over; but I don't dislike the idea.

Furthermore, it's obvious how Q and Tanner get along really well.

3) Q is Trans

⚠️There might be a minor No Time to Die spoiler at this point but it has nothing to do with the plot itself⚠️

This is one of my favourites.

There are three main versions of this Headcanon:

Trans man;

Bigender;

Genderfluid.

Whatever your opinion is, Q spreads queer energy: it's undeniable and, most importantly, FINALLY CANON.

(He's not canonically trans, but you get what I mean).

Anyway, I'm really fond of this headcanon, I think I made it clear, and for one specific reason: Q is a role model for some trans fans (and cis) who use Q's character to cope with their body dysphoria.

I happen to fall in this category.

We find ourselves in a situation in which the relationship with our body can present as particularly difficult (whether we're talking about body dysphoria due to transition or having a "too thin" type of body, for example, even if the last example is about something different).

In this way, people find someone who's similar to them and has the same problems: they feel less alone in the struggle.

4) Bond is Rufus Sixsmith's Reincarnation

⚠️ALERT SPOILER⚠️

This needs to be explained meticulously.

I think it makes sense, but don't ask why because I don't know the correct answer to such a question.

Both Bond and Sixsmith are blond with grey/blue eyes. I think we can agree on it.

But the characters are completely different: Bond is an impulsive dickhead, while Sixsmith is considerably more patient and reflexive.

But why does this theory make sense?

They have one thing in common: Ben Whishaw.

Both of these characters interact with one of Whishaw's character in the movie: Robert Frobisher and Q.

It doesn't matter that Sixsmith was Robert's lover and Q, sadly, just Bond's colleague.

However, this Headcanon can be well understood only by explaining what happens in Cloud Atlas.

The book and the movie result different about the resurrection we're talking about:

The book: in the book the main character has always reborn as the main character. In fact, they all have an identical mark on the shoulder because they are the same person, just living a different life in a different body. And that's how Sixsmith recognises Robert in Luisa in the moment they meet in the lift; he literally asks: "Have we already met?".

The movie: the movie is a bit more controversial than the book. They decided to use the same actors to play different roles (so you could see an actor who's played a protagonist playing a side character). Because of this, my first interpretation of the movie was that every character reincarnates at some point and might happen to be a protagonist. In fact, the movie is mostly about karma and how someone who's been unlucky and mistreated by others will be in the opposite situation in the next life (and vice versa). Also, the characters keep interacting with eachother, meeting through time, as if they were naturally drawn forward eachother. Ben Whishaw's characters and James Darcy's ones are the only that never interact again after Robert's death. The problem is that, even in the movie, Sixsmith asks Luisa if they had already met: it might be because she's a journalist and he might have heard about her, or because he sensed the mark on her skin (?).

Following the movie theory (and cowardly avoiding the problem) the Headcanon can make sense.

If it's true that characters are drawn to eachother, Sixsmith and Robert can meet again while being respectively Bond and Q.

Also, Sixsmith dies in 1973 and it is acceptable for Bond to be born around that year. Furthermore, being Robert's reincarnation still alive at the time (meaning that he died later), this gives us the age difference we need for Bond and Q.

It's a good theory for 00Q fans because Robert and Sixsmith were lovers and 00Q has more chances to happen; for Cloud Atlas fans, it's good because, finally, Robert and sixsmith can meet again.

5) Q is a a Former 004

Still Fanfictions.

That said Fanfiction, was about Bond being assigned a mission together with 004, who turned out to be Q (who wasn't Q yet).

There was also a oneshot in which Q bursted in the field to help Bond and he reveals he used to be 004.

Why is this Headcanon good?

Because it gives us a character development which we could have gotten before if they hadn't decided to destroy the Spectre script.

Why did Q leave the field?

There are two opinions about it:

It wasn't for him: just like Moneypenny, at some point he decided to leave the field because he noticed he couldn't fit in such a profession;

An accident: there was a pretty rough accident during a mission that got Q leave the field as soon as possible (the accident can change).

There is also a theory about Q being a former MI5 agent but leaving the job due to a shooting in which he got hit.

6) Q is Vesper's brother

YES.

I have already made an entire post about Q and Vesper being ridiculously similar: the hair, the eyes, the way they interact with Bond, their temper... They're almost identical.

This lays out all of the needed elements for Q and Vesper to be siblings.

There are also interesting factors that could be used for Fanfictions related to this:

Bond being overprotective of Q;

Q not knowing for sure about what happened to Vesper and getting mad at Bond once he finds out;

Bond getting desperate once and if he falls for Q;

Ecc.

Also, if we consider the actors, both Ben Whishaw and Eva Green were born in the same year, which could make Q and Vesper twins, other than siblings.

7) Q's name

We know that this version of Q lacks of a personal identity: he doesn't have a name, while the previous versions did.

Fans have been forced to make up one by themselves. The most common choices are: Arthur, Andrew, Thomas, Daniel (London Spy fans ಥ‿ಥ), Ethan, Gabriel, Kian...

But there are also fans who follow a sort of Headcanon: making a quick research, internet would tell that every M in 007 movies (and books) had a surname that started with an M; these fans follow this logic.

Just like in M's case, they tend to use a name that starts with Q for the quartermaster: Quinn, Quincey, Quince...

I honestly love "Quincey", despite having used "Arthur" for a quite long period; just like for the trans!Q Headcanon, I'll start using "Quincey" and won't stop.

Ok so crack ship time!!!

Arceus x Ingo

Now, I know what you're thinking "roof didn't Arceus rip Ingo away from his brother and take way his memories!". It didn't actually, it was Volo's fault because he opened up the rifts. Also this is a human au bc hmmh, little bit too uncomfy for me but you wanna go off that's on you.

Anyway, Arceus is very tired and wants some quiet so he has the legendaries and mythical pokemon live one lifetime as humans while still maintaining their pokemon forms to not cause a panic.

They all keep their memories and go reincarnate into humans. ( I'm going to be using he/him for Arceus bc it legitimately does not give a shit about gender and going as he/him is convenient for me. y'all can do what you like best)

Fast forward a few years and they have all met up, and Arceus is running a company (hell if I know what it is, run wild). His headquarters is being moved to Nimbasa city.

So Arceus tries to learn how to take the subway and ends up being the last passenger on the way home. He's trying to use the subway ticket reader and its. Just. Not. Working.

Arceus is pisssed, tired, and hungry, gearing up to smite the damn thing, fuck the consequences when Ingo shows up. The subway master helps Arceus with the ticket reader and guides him to the last train of the day. Arceus is very tired but thankful and they part ways, not really thinking anything of it.

They met up again as Arceus had to stay later than he wanted to because of a moving error that mucked something up so he's racing to catch the last train going home.

He barely makes it to the platform and sits to catch his breath on the train. Arceus fell asleep on the train, thankfully the last stop on the line is his. Ingo walks down the train to check and wakes him up. Arceus thanks him and they part ways.

This can continue on for however long you like but this is verrrrrry slowburn.

And what really gets Arceus to have a crush/squish is seeing Ingo be respectful to the wild pokemon that accidentally get into the tunnels.

So the legendaries meet up at a trainer conveniention and they come across Emmet and Ingo. The legendaries are floored at Arceus lighting up and talking to Ingo to the point the creation trio had to drag him away to their next panel.

Emmet is both confused and delighted at Ingo talking to Arceus and teases him along with Elease about Arceus.

Not sure if I want PLA to happen because of the angst potential of Arceus desperately searching for the man he loves while the rest of the legendaries are worried at his desperation at finding a single human. Not even Arceus understands why but at the same time it now understands why people come to legendaries with nothing to lose. And Arceus's human fragment is significantly different from the pokemon to the point two fragments can exist in close spaces. So Arceus takes Emmet and Elease aside, telling them he will bring Ingo back and to wait for him so they don't lose anyone else.

And Arceus uses his powers to find Ingo to bring him home. Ingo is promptly hit in the face as a very pretty and familiar man finds him. And then the plot happens with Arceus being revealed as a god.

You can make it as angsty, fluffy or crackly as you want I just think it would be hilarious

Eleanor Mooton inherites the Ladyship of House Mooton after the second brother of two months dies in a hunting accident in the middle of Robert’s Rebellion. She is quite put upon about this.

(alternately: local reincarnation unfortunately becomes important due to the universe’s own fuckery. she should’ve ran to essos the second she realized where she was. also, where the fuck did all these kids come from??)

(This fic is basically lets throw a Tired lesbian at the start of Robert's reign and see what happens. What happens is shit gets actually done. I love her, laugh at her, and pity her as she tries her best to Fix Canon and not give a fuck about anything else. A hero of the people, truly!)

Daybreak by pretend

Ship: Jasper/Bella, Emmett/Edward, Rosalie/Alice

Bella knew what her life would be like if she turned around and got back on the plane to Arizona. She knew her mother and her moods and how far the woman could go. Charlie was the unknown. And what was that saying about the monster you know versus the one you don't? Didn't end well for the prey in either scenario.

(I need to put up warnings for this both hilarious yet triggering fic. Bella was abused by Renee and it fucked her up good. Not gonna lie, I was very close to smashing a wall when reading Bella's thoughts and what she's been through, but at the same time, the tone of the fic made it easier to handle the topic at hand. It's so fucking funny how Awkward both Bella and Jasper are in this?? Seriously, they felt like such teens and Jasper made me laugh out loud multiple times, he's such an awkward Mess and it's fantastic, oh lord. I love how the author characterizes them and the rest of the Cullens and especially Charlie (bless that man), and how the author handles Bella's trauma. It felt so visceral and anxiety-driven, I felt so much for her. Also, the author fixed Edward! He's chill, thank the lord.)

(I was biting my nails to the nub when reading this, I wish I had read this fic in October holy shit. This is genuinely terrifying and a constant feeling of dread dodged my heels at every chapter. It's honestly so good and this is the one fic I am waiting for updates with bated breath.)

The Narwhal of Dihua Marsh by GreyLiliy

Childe hears of a strong Adeptus living at the Wangshu Inn. Despite warnings from Zhongli that fighting Xiao would be a deathly mistake, Childe seeks out the Adeptus living in the Dihua Marsh eager for a proper fight.

However, Childe severely underestimates his opponent, and the consequences of his actions may keep him from returning home to Snezhnaya.

Ships: Zhongli/Childe

Notes: This fic is interesting primarily because it's not necessarily what you would call an easy story to read. The content can surprisingly get quite heavy as the relationship between Childe and Zhongli isn't healthy and it becomes increasingly obvious as the story progresses. You swing between wanting to separate the two and also desperately wishing that they'll work out because there is something there. The story snowballs from what seems like an innocuous, if stupid and rash, decision on Childe's part to a complicated mess that you can’t help but be enthralled in. I went in expecting your typical romance and ended up in something that was more complex than I expected but also beautifully thought provoking.

Those are some of the first words Ajax, starving college student extraordinaire, has the misfortune of hearing upon waking up in a brave new world from what he's fairly sure is a very, very fatal accident involving water and a shit ton of electricity.

Okay, so he's not dead. That's good. But what's this about him being stuck playing the character Tartaglia? Tartaglia, as in the shitty, one-dimensional, cartoonish villain who met his untimely, gruesome death in the first act of the original game?

Fuck that noise. Like hell Ajax is going to share that fate.

And so begins one man's journey to unfuck himself.

Notes: Whenever this updates, I squeal. If you’re a fan of The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System or just transmigration/reincarnation plots in general, you’re going to love it. Bgtea does a beautiful job in balancing humor with the trauma that comes with the whole reincarnation plotline. The whole of it is beautiful written and watching Childe/Ajax interact with the other characters (and the perspective of those characters) is a delight!

The tragic and unexpected death of Zhongli-xiansheng of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor occurred to the sorrow of many and the deep skepticism of a few.

Ships: Zhongli/Childe

Notes: glassdrachma has a gift for humor and romance. In short, Zhongli fakes his death for plot reasons and comes back as Jianlao, the bereaved twin sister. Shenanigans ensue, featuring overprotective Liyue-ians (?), chaotic gremlin Venti, and Kexing. Very light hearted, good for the soul.

The White Cicada Society by clementinesgulag

After his little brother is bundled back to Snezhnaya, Childe makes good on his promise to the traveller and takes the first boat out of Liyue Harbor. Any sense of homecoming lasts about as long as an uncooked steak in front of Xiangling, however, when his boat sinks, grounding him back in the mainland.

It's just as well, because the next morning, a body is found in the Northland Bank. A visit from a fellow Harbinger reveals a far more insidious plot than anything Childe could concoct with a god of the vortex and twenty minutes without supervision. The murders aren’t limited to the one Bank. They’ve been trailing down the Liyue border, getting closer and closer to the city. The Tsaritsa has a new mission for him: to figure out who, or what is targeting Fatui forces.

Against his best wishes, Childe is forced to see Zhongli again at the morgue. It becomes clear that he’s going to need a guide, and Childe resolves to quash his pride, and their differences to request his help to navigate Liyue and solve the case.

Notes: A diamond in the rough that I slept on and then stumbled back to by accident. I had it marked for later on AO3 and forgot about it for like a good week to my utter self-disgust. It. Is. So. Damn. Good! The mystery is intriguing but I live for the realistic portrayal of the aftermath of the whole gnosis plotline. The betrayal, the bitterness, but ah, the sexual tension. The harbinger interactions in this fic make it gold though.

Lungs full of Roses by SecretlyACatLady

Childe had always assumed that he would die young. He had accepted that a long time ago, ever since he accepted the mantle of a Fatui Harbinger. However, he always thought that he would die in a glorious fight, his body broken but spirit relishing the strong opponent that had bested him. He was okay with that type of death.

Unfortunately, it seemed like Fate had decided to add one last insult to injury, because, here Childe was, dying because he had fallen in love with the ex-Geo Archon. The same Archon who seemed to have discarded him like an old toy ever since the Osial Incident. --- In which divine beings are cruel and a cursed Childe starts preparing for his inevitable death because no Archon could ever love a mortal.

…Right?

Notes: The fic that started it all for me, the one that sucked me into the fandom. This fic is heartbreaking. We always do love a hanahaki plotline but something about the way it frames the disease and the shame that comes with it...I highly recommend giving it a read. The angst is real I tell you.

Notes: Don’t let the title scare you off--this isn’t one of those fics where they feminize one of the male characters and reduce their personality to a mindless submissive bobblehead to the point that I want to throw my laptop out of the window. Not that there’s anything wrong if you like that kind of thing, just not my cup of tea. This fic though---READ IT! There’s just something refreshing about the writing and the plot, the way that Childe’s character reads off the page. I live for the interactions between the characters and how the author has mapped the relationships. Warning that recent chapters have swerved decided into NSFW territory though.

It makes my heart warm but also makes me want to weep because god, this fic covers exactly how traumatic Kaeya’s situation is and why child soldiers/spies just shouldn’t be. And the dynamic he has with Diluc and Crepus--do me a favor and read it. Screams found family.

Notes: A light-hearted, humorous and fluffy as hell piece. Short word is that Venti comes to Liyue for some fun, causes chaos, accidentally plays matchmaker, and steals some vegetables. A get-together fic for Childe and Zhongli that includes a surprisingly self-aware (if blunt and snarky) Zhongli and jealous Childe that gets increasingly flustered.

Falling into bed with Diluc was an unbelievably bad idea given their tumultuous shared history, but Kaeya’s impulsive urge to amuse himself knew no bounds.

It’s all fun and games until emotions got involved.

Notes: Sweet fic. Not my typical ship pairing. Loved the Khaenri’ah mentions. Kaeya is Trans FTM here though it’s only briefly mentioned. There is also an incomplete sequel (as of May 2021) featuring an Overprotective Big Brother Diluc on a warpath giving shovel talks to everyone except apparently Albedo that’s also worth reading.

The Language of Flowers by Jules (Penwyn)

Kaeya Alberich has made a habit of lying—after all, the only truths he’s ever spoken cost him everything—but there are only so many lies a man can tell before the truth comes spilling out.

Notes: Childe, you idiot. Humorous and funny, very light hearted. Makes you wonder if Childe has an IQ. He’s too busy pining/lovesick to realize that he told his target that he’s going to kill him for his gnosis. Zhongli and Liyue remain confused on how Childe still DOES NOT get it but half-ass hiding his Archon status anyway.

Childe's not into the whole "swooning maiden patiently waiting for his beloved to swoop down and smooch the daylights out of him" thing. Nah, that's not his style. He's Tartaglia, eleventh of the Fatui harbingers, and he's going to kiss Zhongli right now.

Notes: FUNNY AS HELL. Childe is straight up just trying to plant one on Zhongli but fate and people just keep interfering. It’s a weird trope aversion where the character is actively trying to confess rather than avoiding it but life gets in the way.

Tartaglia’s body moves before he can even think about it. He arches his back and flattens his ears against his head, baring his teeth in a hiss. Considering he barely even reaches Scaramouche's knees — Scaramouche, of all people! The guy is practically the size of a fourteen-year-old — he doubts that he is cutting as imposing a figure as he hopes.

It isn't a surprise, though. No one could become a Fatui Harbinger if they were scared of a little cat.

Tartaglia is turned into a cat and he goes to Zhongli for help. It goes about as well as expected.

Notes: TOO ADORABLE FOR WORDS. This is just pure fluff I swear. Love how Childe is written and the interactions between the two are just ahhhh. A balm on the soul.

Notes: As the summary says, Kaeya loses his memories. Diluc plays babysitter for plot reasons. Meanwhile, Kaeya freaks out and has an essential crisis because his instincts freak him out which = angst. Simultaneously, sort of love confessions?

When the Traveler receives a mysterious invitation from a Snezhnayan businessman, they seek out help from the only Snezhnayan they are on good terms with. They decide it is a wonderful idea to go to this business party in the middle of the ocean because, well, what could be better entertainment than watching a Fatui Harbinger at work? It is too bad Childe couldn't come with them...

Meanwhile, the Tsaritsa needs someone to track down the source of a brand new drug at a party on a cruise; it just so happens that she has two Harbingers who specialize in causing chaos and sinking ships. Scaramouche is a sadist and loves this, and Tartaglia... Well, Tartaglia just wants to know why is he the one in the dress again.

Notes: Features a crossdressing Childe and Kaeya for plot reasons. Funny as hell. Love Fatui dynamics/interactions. Highly recommend. Go read it. I’m serious. It’s so beautiful, I can’t. Also Zhongli is so love-sick and jealous, it’s hilarious.

The Road to Snezhnaya by paranoid_fridge

Everything's done and over. Now, Zhongli only needs to adjust to living like an ordinary mortal. Or that is what he thinks until a familiar face shows up in Liyue. Teucer comes looking for his brother who failed to return to Snezhnaya on the Fatui ships. And as Childe's declared "friend", Zhongli must help Teucer find him.

Or: Teucer drags Zhongli on a cross-country goose chase looking for Childe. Zhongli just happens to find a bit more along the way.

Notes: I have no words for this fic outside of the fact that it is clear that Teucer has the only functioning brain and should be Best Man because he obviously did all the work here. Features an oblivious Childe and overprotective Zhongli, plus bystander Kaeya that is getting allll of the gossip. And also the most destructive group of children ever.

Notes: TW for suicidal ideation, suicide attempt, self-harm, depression, etc. Not a light read by any definition. Set in a modern AU, not in the genshin impact universe. Features a Childe that is Not Okay, good friend but also probably traumatized friend Lumine (and her brother Aether), and Zhongli. Family dynamic is messed up as hell and explores mental health quite well in my opinion. I’m not sure how healthy necessarily Childe’s relationships are but I think that’s a given considering the context and how derailed his mental health is in this fic. Definitely angst as heavy, made me tear up quite a bit. Read, but pay attention to the content/trigger warnings as it does get quite explicit.

When Chongyun unintentionally offends Liyue's second most powerful adepti, he vows to mend the thorny relationship between Adeptus Xiao and human exorcists-- even though no one has succeeded in currying Xiao's favor for over a thousand years.

His best friend Xingqiu offers to come alone, mainly because he's worried about what kind of trouble Chongyun will run into. Along the way, they receive help from others: Xiangling packs them meals for their journeys, while Zhongli gives them advice on what demons to track.

Childe is just there because he thinks the whole thing is hilarious.

Notes: JFKLFJS I LOVE THIS. I love Chongyun’s characterization and the interaction between all the characters. The dynamic between Chongyun, Xingqiu, and Xiangling are to die for. Also, this line: “Stuck-up Persnickety Bastard.” Random note but Xiao throws Chongyun off a balcony yet is also 100% a softie.

In which Zhongli unlocks the Memory of Dust, only to find out:

1. Guizhong is 100% alive (just disembodied) within it, 2. Guizhong has been watching over him this whole time, and 3. Guizhong is very excited by the prospect of Zhongli getting a cute Snezhnayan boyfriend.

Notes: The pure judgment that Guizhong unleashes on Zhongli (as well as her sass in general) is pure comedic gold. The dynamic between Xiao and Venti are also adorable. Meanwhile, Childe misunderstands and also just wants to know what the fuck is going on.
