Lucille Carmine is not one to relinquish her hold on someone once her wicked talons have sunk into them, as Jayce all too painfully learns once more. He’s pulled into her employ again, Lott jumping in after his best friend, tasked - under extreme duress, of course - to retrieve The Liminality Paradox. Previously thought to have been nothing more than a bedtime story, Jayce and Lott find themselves unwillingly heading to The Crescent of Fools and Forgotten Time, right into the heart of The Fool’s domain, a place where time and space lose all meaning, where everything that has ever happened is happening all at once and where nothing ever happens all the same. A place where the ends of the universe could be nothing more than a hop, skip, and a jump away, but the five feet in front of you could stretch out to infinity and beyond. A place where the insane rule sovereign and the sane are grinded to a dust, folded into the ripples of the Crescent. All to steal an artifact of untold power for one of the most dangerous overlords of the criminal world, and to lay even more unchecked power at her feet for her to abuse.

NAYING YUE'S life has been on a downward spiral ever since her father disappeared three years ago. Expelled from university and alone after violently stabbing her friend in the eye, she believes her twenty first birthday is as good as any day to die, only for her suicide to be interrupted by an attack by monstrous beings. Saved by strangers who call themselves Outsiders, she is told her life as she knows it is a lie: Her father did not save her life as a child, but instead kidnapped her from the powerful Yue family. Thrown headfirst into the dangerous World of Outsiders, where humans endowed with a magical current are hunted ruthlessly by the eldritch beings known as the seraph and the power plays between factions shed just as much blood, Naying finds herself pulled by opposite powers and desires. Forced to play in games she does not fully understand and plagued by unexplained blackouts and boughts of violence, Naying must fight herself and the world to stay alive. But all she really wants is to find her father.

GODHOOD is the conceptual title for a prospective trilogy that follows Naying Yue as she reclaims her destiny. Set in a universe where magic runs parallel to the ordinary world in the form of a current. Those that possess the current are called Outsiders, endowed with extraordinary abilities and able to perceive the truth of the world, responsible for maintaining equilibrium. As Naying embraces the changes within herself, a young monk searches for an answer that has haunted him his whole life, and a skater must confront a part of herself she has tried to turn away from. A boy sits catatonic in a wheelchair in the garden, and a pair of twins are forced to chose between the past and the future. Their stories intertwine with one another's while overlapping with that of various other characters across the Godhood Universe.

The dead one.” “Dead, or missing?” Lien murmured in response. “Or found?” He stepped down into her space, so they were toe to toe, too crushingly close to stand on her own. She fought against stepping back, holding herself taut to prevent her body from swaying backwards without her control.  “Your bet,” she said, staring up at him. His eyes were dark. She could see a sliver of the moon in them at this distance. The last, and only, guy she had been this physically close to was Frey. “I bet you’re going to ruin something,” Lien said in a low voice. “Real or not.” Naying swallowed, then let herself smile. “How much are you willing to bet on that?” “Why?” Lien asked, boredom sweeping over his features. He took a step back. “Planning on providing a payout?” “I doubt it would be that hard,” Naying replied, following his step. “I don’t play nice.” Lien shook his head with a rueful grin. “I can see that much.” He paused. “So what’s your bet, then?” “My bet?” Naying echoed curiously. “Real, or fake?”  “Well,” Naying said. “It’s probably the same as yours, isn’t it? I’m a fake who is pretending to be the real thing, or I’m the real deal still putting on a facade. Either way, I’m going to fuck things up, aren’t I?” “There’s no odds if they’re in both of our favor,” Lien replied.

For three years, Jem has been in and out of rehab, a cycle of clean starts and relapses that have cost him everything—including his band, his family, and his on-and-off-again boyfriend. But six months sober, he's ready to fix what he can. He packs his car and sets off on the road trip he and Tobie once dreamed about, hopeful to meet up with him on the way and talk him into one more chance—only to learn after a few hours on the road that Tobie has just died in a car crash.

What was supposed to be a journey of redemption turns into a spiral of grief, regret, and unresolved wounds as Jem finds himself face-to-face with the past he abandoned. And as memories surface—of music, betrayal, love, and addiction—he starts to wonder if the road ahead will lead him forward or send him crashing back into old mistakes.

A Healing for the Birds — An Introduction

Helinda's Treaty started with the Allaitri Chalice, a prized relic capable of healing all spells and ailments, missing for thousands of years.

Alycja entered the temple to complete her Morja Durzjet, a ceremony for all young Seldaikan teens to confirm their maturity and competence in magic. But when a giant skeleton crashes it, she takes the Chalice into her own hands.

Meanwhile, Eshani sought it for own purposes; freedom. With each day passed another day spent in a court that those south of the border fear most, she knows the clock is ticking.

Pipped to the post by thieves of great ambition, Eshani finds herself caught between her desires and her obligations. The line between freedom and treason grows ever more perilous. Conspiracies come to the forefront of the zeitgeist, as Alycja must now contend with her religion's society trying to condemn and slander her at every turn. In her struggle for innocence, others stand up in search for the Chalice, leaving her to decide who to trust while the country spirals to tear itself apart...

ANOINTED OF THE LAKE — Eshani Faison: One of the High Councillors of the Court of Morilast, she specialises in making deals and causing chaos for people. She has a delightful charm and intelligence that draws people in, but don't expect any personal secrets from her.

HIGH PRIEST — Jersk Rhesjan: The head meshai (priest) of Arobyre's branch of the Raikaliçian Society, is determined to seek justice for Alycja's theft of the Allaitri Chalice to the bitter end. A proud man with a strong sense of passion and morality, and he leaves no stone unturned in his affairs.

LADY OF THE MURDER — Claudia Emar: Another of the Court of Morilast's High Councillors, she's responsible for managing a sizeable murder of crows and leading the Court's espionage efforts, in addition to all the other strings in her hand. She exudes a cold, calm demeanour, sharp as a knife and brutal for those who get on the wrong side of her.

WIP Intro: The Wasp

(It's about time, right?)

Dealing with the double threat of the mysterious woman in yellow lipstick and notorious crime lord the Wasp, queen of crime Marissa struggles to keep a grip on her power base. And to top it off? Her ex-girlfriend wants to kill her.

“Hullo, Marissa,” Emilia said, leaning up against the balcony’s fence, a small smile on her yellow lips, and yellow sunglasses framing her eyes. She looked utterly content, and nothing like the woman Marissa had believed her to be. She looked everything like a wasp. Like the Wasp. “I didn’t expect this from you.” She laughed. “Oh, who does? You’re not special, you’re just pretty.” “You don’t understand,” Marissa snapped. “I—” “Trusted me? Loved me?” Emilia asked. “I understand perfectly. It’s just such a betrayal, isn’t it, sweetheart?” “I never thought you were this cruel.” “But you knew I was cruel.” “Not to me.” Emilia’s face softened, and she looked like the girl on the bridge again. “No. And there’s the crux of the problem.”

AUTHOR'S NOTES: Everyone has the rebellious child, and this is my horrible WIP (affectionate). I love it to pieces. It's supposed to be a short story, but who's to say if it will stay that way...

Beyond the Ripple Tides

Synopsis:

Kai has dreamt of being a part of the Triarii for as long as she could understand the words she heard and spoke, their resolve further solidified by the demise of their aunt under ‘mysterious circumstances’. They finally see their dream come to fruition, and nothing, including their aristocratic background, or their Lieutenant, can turn it into a nightmare.

But the real challenge comes when their captain, The Vanguard, gives them a nearly impossible task: find the base of the rebellion who call themselves The Resistance, gather information, and then leave without getting caught. Even when Kai sets the first part of the plan in motion, and makes unlikely friends, the completion of the rest of the task without jeopardizing everything they stand for seems like a far dream. And the discoveries they make while with their enemy do not help, either.

The Departure of Blood

Rosalie Mills returns to the city of her birth, to bring her siblings home to say bye to their dying mother. Only to find herself embroiled in the mystery and politics not only the city but her interesting new friends hide. Time is ticking as her mother’s health declines back in the countryside, people are dying left and right, yet she knows not how to tell her siblings, and that reluctance may cost more than she thinks as the investigation grows more dangerous.

Rosalie Mills – Protagonist, Curious and Stubborn, Rosalie can’t help but get involved if something catches her interest. Despite being able to stand her ground, she folds when it comes to her siblings, being the youngest and out of contact with them for several years until now.

Theodore Nocturnus – Deuteragonist, A member of the Nocturnus family, he claims to hold no secrets, and presents that as true through his words. Yet his attitude and reactions suggest otherwise and his investigation into the deaths in the city may hold more significance to him than he lets on.

‘Cosette’ Yūgure – Deuteragonist, Songstress beloved by many who came from overseas a good while ago. Despite being a pillar of the community, rumour has it that the passing of her husband may not be the tragedy she claims it to be.

Griffin Isaac Adams – Deuteragonist, Official Bodyguard of both Theodore and Cosette, he is known to get in trouble off duty at times. The anecdotes of those who know him more contrast this, yet some doubt it with his silence and constant frown.

WIP INTRO - Supernova Initiative

Title: Supernova Initiative

Genre: Science Fiction/Space Opera/Adventure & Mystery/Whump

Synopsis/What Is It About?

Jack Tithus, a young and charming intergalactic thief, along with his crew - Vesper Foxx, a feared cyborg assassin; Cassiopeia Tithus, his younger sister who is also a genius engineer; Aleks Keldora, a master in the art of temporary identity theft; and Artemis Zreeth, their edgy new recruit - are the most wanted criminals in this quadrant of the galaxy. Never once caught, the team defies their galaxy's oppressive government by using their combined talents to steal from the government as their own act of rebellion.

However, their luck takes an unexpected turn for the worst when they find themselves set up and arrested after a botched heist. Taken to the most secure facility in the whole Junction, the group expects nothing but problems in the coming future - instead, they are offered a strange deal: if they agree to work for the Junction and retrieve some highly classified files that were lost in a hostile planetary system, they will be spared from execution. With few other options, the group begrudgingly accepts to carry out this heist for the government they spent their lives trying to undermine.

Meanwhile, Jack finds himself trapped in a horrifying web of unethical experiments and illegal bioengineering when, while still having to carry out the heist along with his crew, he is secretly forced to become a test subject to the fearsome Director, head of the Junction's division of sciences, unbeknownst to his crew.

The team will need to count on the help of old allies-turned-rivals such as the cold-blooded mercenary and sniper Deimos Soll, their former crewmate, and the secret agent assigned to oversee their mission, an uptight and by-the-book young man called Noctus - if they wish to complete the most dangerous heist of their lives, and get their freedoms back.

Space adventure, exploration of unique, uncanny, beautiful, and outlandish alien planets, all the good science fiction stuff!

Robots, cyborgs, and sarcastically friendly AI!

A terrifyingly strict aspiring utopian regime that promises progress and freedom but is actually an unethical dystopia in disguise, with many bloodied skeletons in the closet, if you will.

Intergalactic politics, multiple alien cultures, and a bubbling interplanetary conflict about to explode between vastly different civilizations, each seeking either revenge or power.

Sibling bonds! A lot of this story centers around the siblings Jack and Cassiopeia Tithus, and the struggles they go through to keep each other safe and live another day, among some other notable siblings throughout the book.

Laboratory whump - A LOT OF IT. Also expect a crazy, unethical scientist/politician as a villain who is willing to do absolutely horrid things in the name of progress, even if it means human experimentation.

A suspicious, morally grey antihero with a reputation for being a cold-blooded killer, whom you'd expect is going to betray the group sooner or later, but is actually one of their most loyal allies and HAS A REDEMPTION ARC aaaaaa

Heists! Heists! Heists! And all the good stuff that comes along with this trope!

An edgy rogue-type character who is super impulsive and does not always make the best decisions, who only recently joined the group but would defend them with his life.

Traumatized - and hot - cyborg assassin lady on the path to have revenge on the people who destroyed her life in the past, and who is going to get said revenge in ✨style✨

A conformist secret agent who has always been "the perfect soldier" and follows rules like his life depends on it has an existential crisis and learns that his government has lied to him

A subplot that follows a young cadet from the Junction's Void Program, who discovers a dark secret about their government and starts investigating, but who needs to escape (and ends up meeting the MCs) after the government makes an attempt on his life + his war hero (adoptive) older brother who is a fighter pilot and really just needs a break and was tasked by their parents with trying to keep Pax from getting into even more trouble, but fails successfully.

Outcasts and society's "rejects" decide to make a better future together and it is great

Angst, team dynamics, and a lot of action-packed fight scenes!

Meet The Main Cast! (The good guys)

Jack Tithus

A charming and rebellious intergalactic thief, Jack always sought a better life for himself and his younger sister, Cassiopeia, his only family - and he finally got his chance many years ago by joining a famous space pirate crew and leaving the dusty mining settlement moon he grew up in behind. After that, he took on a solo career - along with his sister and a few friends they had made along the way - and became the most wanted thief in the galaxy. He only steals from the government and seeks to help people who are oppressed or neglected by the system. He has a kind heart and a free spirit, and despite being a thief has a stronger moral compass than most, believing in breaking the rules to do what is truly right.

Cassiopeia Tithus

Cassiopeia - or Cassie, as she is usually called - is a brilliant robot engineer and inventor, able to build even the most complex machines from little more than scraps. She built her first robot when she was a child and has had a passion for mechanics ever since. A part of her older brother's outlaw team, Cassie uses her tech to aid in the heists and allow them to be mostly undetected. Most times. A lively young girl with a fiery personality, Cassiopeia has a lot of passion for what she does and is the glue that keeps their little team of misfits together.

Aleks Keldora

Raised by his two mothers on a struggling planet on the edge of the system, Aleks always wanted to help his family financially and give his mothers the life they deserved. However, struggling with self-esteem issues and often feeling discarded by society, Aleks knew what it meant to be invisible in the eyes of the world around him - with his family being the only ones who ever saw him for who he was. Tired of feeling left out by the world, and wanting to help his mothers - whose business was about to go bankrupt - Aleks decided to take a stand after winning a high-tech device in an underworld completion, a mask that allowed him to shapeshift into anyone he'd like. With the help of this mask and his other talents, Aleks completed his first heist in secret and was able to use the funds to help keep his family's business afloat, though they never knew the truth about how he got the money. After that, finally able to use his feeling of being invisible to his advantage, Aleks became more and more bold, eventually leaving his home planet in search of better heists to be able to continue to support his family.

Vesper Foxx

Traumatized by the day her home planet was raided by a ruthless group of mercenaries - who were hired by the neighboring galaxy's government to establish a Junction colony in Khosmonian territory - Vesper was kidnapped by the soldiers along with her oldest brother, Atheris, after their mother was killed in the raids. After witnessing him be tortured and killed, which scarred for life, Vesper was able to flee in an escape pod, being reunited with her little sister, Lysia, and their cousin, Deya, with whom she left their destroyed homeland behind. Despite settling down in another planetary system with the family she had left, the girl was never able to let go of the past, yearning for justice and revenge. Eventually, she left behind her sister and her cousin to pursue the deaths of the mercenaries who destroyed her life, using cyborg implants and upgrades to turn herself into the deadliest assassin in either galaxy.

Artemis Zreeth

The son of a renowned bounty hunter, Artemis never thought he would ever join their galaxy's criminal underworld, but after his father was betrayed by the crew he trusted the most, Artemis was left to fend for himself. Feeling betrayed by the system he trusted and lacking a purpose in life, Artemis survived by doing some gigs as a mercenary and pirate, a gun for hire in the criminal underworld. After winning a race and accidentally meeting the main cast, Artemis joins the group thinking this would just be another job to pay the bills, but as they spend more and more time together, the teenager finds that this group of outcasts might be the closest thing he's had to a family in a long while.

Pax Stellaryn

A genius young cadet, on his way to becoming the youngest cadet to ever graduate from the Junction's Void Program, Pax always wanted to make his beloved adoptive family proud, feeling oftentimes like a fish out of the water. After discovering a terrifying government intrigue by accident, Pax finds a chance to prove that he too can be a hero, and sets off to investigate more about this and seek a way to prevent the Junction's wretched plan from coming to fruition, after realizing his life too is in danger. However, he may have overestimated his ability to get out of this mess alone.

Deimos Soll

A cold-blooded and practical sniper, Deimos was Jack and Cassie's childhood best friend and their first crewmate. The trio split ways years ago due to conflicting beliefs and a few bad misunderstandings and ended up becoming rivals and competition when it comes to stealing from the Junction. Years later, however, after a harrowing encounter with a cruel and sadistic woman who sought to enslave him in order to force him to join her army, Deimos ends up fleeing to the only people he ever trusted - which unfortunately means having to confront his past and face Jack and Cassie again, who is very confused about his return to the crew - while being hunted down by the insane general he seeks to escape from.

Noctus

Though his full name is classified and unknown to the cast, his reputation precedes him. He is the single most successful special forces secret agent currently in the employ of the Junction - he has never failed a mission, never missed a target. And he always follows orders, always obeys the rules. However, is everything about him what it seems? A forgotten and suppressed part of his memory may prove that the system he fought so dearly to uphold may have actually made him into their perfect living weapon, and there may be many other lies yet to be uncovered

Ethean Mirannir

Pax's adoptive older brother, Ethean is a fighter pilot who has made a name for himself as a war hero and has always been the perfect soldier. Unexpectedly, he finds himself having to choose between his duty to the government and keeping his family safe when Pax discovers a secret that even he had no idea existed.

Once she arrives in the capitol, however, she finds that what’s expected of the Stoli is darker than she ever dreamed it would be.

In a desperate attempt to escape, she takes matters into her own hands, only to stain them with blood. A stain that will never wash off the further along she travels down the path to vengeance.

Because what happened to her should never happen to anyone else.

The metallic tang of it lingered in the air and on my tongue. I raised my hand to the dying sun, mesmerized by the carmine stain coating my fingers and dripping down my arm. It billowed in the sea around me, bright and sanguine and breathtaking.

I was practically bathing in it.

Sunlight glistened on my soaked hand, the blood almost sparkling in the last vestiges of day, and for the first time in a long time, I smiled.

VIBES: ruby hearts and obsidian eyes. crashing waves and thundering skies. the bile of regret. the seduction of sin. tired eyes. heavy sighs. old photographs. tarot cards whose edges are worn by love. a broken body in a black room. clashing swords. a dusty throne. secrets exchanged in a back alley where the only judges are the street lamps that blind the stars above. pearls. jazz. rusted bars of a once-gilded cage. self-proclaimed godhood. bruises from lips that used to berate you. fresh ink from a letter scrawled in the dead of night. hidden longings. confessions. voices in the wind uttering words of destiny.

clotted emotions. a journal in tatters. flashes of light in the corner of your gaze. a pair of stilettos echoing down a rain-slick street. the stench of death. creaking wood. weapons that belong in your hands. the ache of nostalgia. the weight of the present. the sharp cracking of autumn leaves. milking blood from a wound that won’t heal.

THEMES: fate vs dreams. loyalty vs betrayal. history. secrets. self-worth. loneliness. mysticism and fortune telling. power and control. what do you want and how far will you go to get it? where will chasing it land you? In a better or worse position? Could you even handle it? How can you be sure?

SYNOPSIS:

Seven pirates. Seven thrones. Seven deadly sins.

All vie for dominance over their fantastical world, thinking themselves to be as close to immortal as could be. But the question of what, exactly, they are remains elusive, as is the reason why they crave a seat atop the world’s throne, battling to be the most dangerous sin of them all.

Some long for power. Some lust for a sense of identity. Others simply chase the thrill of the war they’ve locked themselves into.

Is not the root of all clashing swords a wretched cry for one’s own purpose?

It is for Katty, mistress of Envy. Her interest in the eternal war has been waning, and the figures roaming the streets of Eiffel have captured her attention more and more.

Families. Friends. Couples unscathed by the tests of time.

Her presence on her own pirate ship has become a rarity. Her lover, Delvan of Greed, has waxed on about his disapproval of her flippant desires, stressing the importance of what truly matters in their lives.

Fortune. Power. Status.

Katty knows this. And yet, she aches for more.

When the cards of fate unfold for her a passionate affair with the prince of Pride, Braven, behind the backs of their allies, Katty remembers the spark that being Envy once carried for her.

It’s only natural she chose him to accompany her on a secret mission to infiltrate the ship of Gluttony, also known as Flint. While Braven seeks information regarding Flint’s relentless search for who they are, Katty seeks a chest of personal valuables he’d stolen from her. More than either of them bargained for, Braven is captured and Katty is filled with regret. Sooner than she could even think to fall back on her own allies for aid, Flint captures them, too.

Katty must rescue them. And she must rely on Braven’s twin sister, wretched Morannah of Lust, in order to stand a chance against that giant, hulking man.

When the girls invade, cruel revelations are sparked: one calls into question the sins’ immortality, and the other permanently alters the nature of their war.

After all, what is an ally worth when all ends in betrayal?

The plot: In the kingdom where gods left ages ago, the last bits of magic remain in the capital city´s underground, which has only one ruler — The Rat King.

Sofie has lived her entire life in a small, forgotten village, dreaming of escaping and discovering the world. When her father gets invited to the capital city of the kingdom, the wish comes true… Until it takes a dark turn. Sofie ends up alone, forced to make a deal and sell her soul to the ruler of the underground. With this bond, she is unable to leave the town and her fate is to slowly descend into madness. An unbearable shadow of death follows her every step: betraying The King or not obeying his orders will get her killed. There is no chance to escape.

And then, she meets Carter. To her, he is just an arrogant aristocrat and one of the many people who were forced to work for The Rat King. However, they share a common goal: Breaking the bond and setting themselves free. They become allies, trying to escape... Something no one has ever done before.

If they want to stay alive, they must unravel the web of magic, secrets, and darkness that haunts every corner of the city and their souls.
