FEELING BLUE? NOT AS BLUE AS SHE IS -- THE TIMMVERSE MEETS 20th CENTURY FOX.
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on assorted pin-ups of the lithe, shapeshifting, and quasi-nude supervillain, Mystique, as she appeared in the smash comic book movie "X-MEN" (2000), played by Rebecca Romijn. 20th Century Fox. Artwork by Bruce Timm.

TBT memory to the time I was madly in love with this Gambit concept image and wrote a crappy fic based off of it in a real notebook, not on the computer. (It's from Wizard World Magazine's special X-Men issue back in the early 2000s. Probably 2003 or so.) Doubtful I still have the notebook, but it'd be so cringe if I did.
If anyone's not a giant nerd like me, this is one of several different X-Men concepts that WW asked a comic book artist (I can't remember which one.) to portray. Two I know we eventually got were Emma Frost and Gambit.
Funny part is, he looks like a clean-shaven Nick Bateman to me, just with longer hair. For a drawing, that's some killer cheekbones/jawline. I love the roseyness to his face.

Can't remember the exact quote and I'm too lazy to go get the magazine from my comic book collection, but some higher-up said they would've designed him to be a bit taller and more muscular (I think? I would not complain if he were!!) some other stuff. Like, dude, this is Nick Bateman's version of Gambit, easily, sans bike. (Remy is usually 6'1-6'2, Nick is freaking 6'4.) Nick also has tats IRL. I don't like, but just pointing it out.

Maybe if I get some energy/time, I'll scan in my copy so we can all enjoy it as a larger pic. ((commence drooling.)) Edit: I also drew it. Don't know if I still have that drawing or not, but I went through a phase where I put it and other fan art up on my wall, I think? Or maybe I'm mis-remembering. I don't think I was THAT brave as a teenager to just put a shirtless guy on my wall. (That came later in my mid 20s, another dumb, DUMB phase. I was stuuuupid.)
In this issue we explore why Marvel couldn’t keep writers on the X-books, get freaked out by a Q&A with Warren Ellis, explore the lost Alex Ross ideas for a Kingdom Come sequel and so much more!

SCENES FROM A MARRIAGE | 🫦 Teasing
Felix & Oliver · Saltburn (2023) · dir. Emerald Fennell
The moments between Oliver and Felix…there's a kind of constant tease sort of going on. Felix sort of knows the effect he has on people and he's sort of very comfortable playing with that. -dir. Emerald Fennell
