New AU thingy

I never do crossover AUs ( i mean, when the characters fill the roles of the characters of a serie or film, I don't like that generally but meh I'm making an exception today)

But Secret of Kells has me on a chokehold and I'm brainrotting so have some doodles !

I've got nothing much for this AU it'll be mostly designs or style experimentations with the WH characters

Here we have : Wally as Brendan, Home as Abbot Cellach, Julie as Aisling, and Nyxie as the cat

I'll assign more roles eventually

Rue belonging to @blues-sues and Mays cloned crack children! Old vs new!

I love them so much

While I kept the old bases basic I did still edit them to their old appearances then used them to remodel into the newer look.

Since May long horn genes that grow back both of them have bits of horn growth at the back with Prodigy having more of a spike flourish while Betas is more tall. I noticed as well two of mine have this eyebrow horn but thingy so Beta also got that.

He still has his damaged second neck from being runty and is thinner in feature in the redesign, noodle arms.

Prodigy got more of a round snout like Rue while Beta is rounded square as Mays family (and my way of drawing twos) they have boxy snouts. I altered their eyes too as I think when I originally did them Rues ref had different eye shapes, this time Prodigy has soft triangular squareish eyes a mix of Rue and May while Beta has more triangular eyes like Rue softened by Mays big ol eyes.

Prodigys chest plate is more Rue aligned and boxy as May has a few boxy chest plate havers in her lineage and the bottom points are similar to Matts' too. While Betas is curved like Rues but May shaped at the bottom.

Prodigys tail reminds me of Neopolatin ice cream, the swirl may be larger than like canon I may have went overboard so it may be less ott in official art depending on the vibes, it's fine, exaggerated chibi feature my beloved XD. May has a gene for heterchromia seeing as Dusty also has it. Her reddish purple eye is just Mays brown moved to purple, likely having mixed with Rues purple eye gene for that color.

Beta has partial heterchromia having mostly mama Rues eyes with flecks of Mays and green as May probably has a green gene and I thought it looked good. I headcanoned his original orange colored stripe went up his back to just below his second neck and it's the same here with him having a stripe that fades to blue from Mays blue stripe gene and Rues stripe gene.

Being runty and likely a little genetically defective Beta suffers from pigmentation damage from dna degrading hence his paler patches and clumps they're similar to Prototypes discoloration stripes in placement at times while also being mostly random. Tho around the eye was intentional to mimic an injury.

rating regulus black ships!!

jegulus | 11/10 - i love them so much. when i rejoined the fandom in 2022 and saw how the ship had blown up in the years id been gone i was really confused, but then i read just lovers and was immediately convinced lmao. they are the epitome of sunshine x grumpy and i adore them both

bartylus | 5/10 - theyre not very compelling to me, but theyre not bad by any means. i think they work better as friends but i understand why people ship them. i just prefer other ships personally, but ive read many great fics with them too!

jegulily | 20/10 - im obsessed with them. i love regulus, james, and lily separately, but together they balance each other out. plus it helps that its a combination of my two most favorite monoamorous ships (jegulus and regulily), like whats not to like? theyre definitely a top tier ship

moonwater | 10/10 - they are so cute and so overhated! theres so much potential here, like they could be friends to lovers or enemies to lovers or rivals to lovers, basically any trope you can think of lol. and think of the angst! the drama! i love them dearly

regulily | 1000/10 - yall already know how i feel about these two! they are literal soulmates and i love them to bits. their personalities mesh so well and, this might be a controversial take, but they make more canonical sense than jegulus does imo (not that canon really matters in this fandom lmao). i could wax literal poetry about this ship i love them so much

rosewater | 6/10 - i have other ships i prefer for both of them but theyre still cute and i can see why people ship them. honestly its a similar situation to bartylus, except they intrigue me just the slightest bit more lol

regumary | 4/10 - im sorry i just cant see this ship. i can see their relationship being platonic but not romantic. i also think mary is a lesbian, which doesnt really mean much considering i also love the trans girl regulus headcanon, but most of the time when i see this ship its very cishet and just not my thing. sorry yall!

regdora | 2/10 - i just cant see this ship either. its not bad necessarily, i just see the relationship between regulus and pandora as that of a sibling relationship. no hate to people who ship them, its just not for me lol

rosestarkillerchaser | 6/10 - i understand why people ship them, its combining three popular ships (jegulus, bartylus, and rosekiller), but im sorry i just cannot see james dating barty and evan. im not hating on people who ship them and its not bad by any means (i like them more than most other ships involving evan & barty) i just dont actively ship them. ive read some good fics tho!

rosestarkiller | 5/10 - similar situation to bartylus yet again, its just not compelling to me. i think regulus works better with evan & barty as his friends rather than lovers which you can probably tell given my other ratings lol

blackeclipse | 10/10 - ooooo i love them. all the best aspects of jegulus, moonchaser, and moonwater in one, its elite. james brings the buoyancy that regulus & remus need while regulus & remus help keep him tethered. they work so well together and i love them all dearly

xenoreg | 8/10 - a crackship ive come to enjoy recently! definitely a weird x weirder kind of ship which is the best. oh to be a fly on the wall of the slytherin common room when regulus told barty, evan, and dorcas that he was dating xenophilius lestrange, ravenclaws resident conspiracy theorist (pandora, of course, would have been overjoyed to have someone to trade ideas with)

regulene | 7/10 - they intrigue me tbh, like marlenes brashness and regulus’ coldness contrast in just the right ways. theyre like fire and water and i love that. plus the potential for a quidditch rivalry is phenomenal, especially considering that they could both be the seekers for their respective teams. theyre kinda similar to dorlene imo

regulilylene | 9/10 - im gonna be honest here i think i made this ship up, but i really like their dynamic. marlene and regulus are on the opposite extremes of hot and cold and lilys right there in the middle to keep them grounded, she evens them out

Honestly, reading something that features a ship you don't particularly like does feel weird sometimes, and I speak that from experience lmao, but also I have the sliiiight impression that your brain may be thinking that reading it is weird because you feel like you're intruding on something other people may enjoy, but it just isn't your cup of tea. I don't think you're intruding at all, if that reassures you! And also I don't think you're being a little hater. Trust me on that one.

In a way, Dogday x Catnap is a crackship by itself, but I think few people refer to it as a one because it can make sense thematically speaking (?), unlike some others (read: Prometheus). I'm glad that you're enjoying the AU regardless of that, tho!!!!! I understand where you come from. I don't think these two are for everyone, esp considering what we know from canon. 🥰 Headcanon- A post a bit further on my blog I reblogged has made me fascinated by what is going on between Guinevere and Bors. He Does Not like her. Is always demeaning or insulting her. But still! When the affair is caught he is the first to bring up saving her to Lancelot in Le Morte and seems so genuinely worried for her. That’s so interesting to me! Anyways I think they became actual friends at Joyous Gard during All That and afterwards he visited her often in the nunnery so also kind of a platonic crackship I guess lmao

Some more lovely babies, introducing Ma-ya and Mits! Some beautiful babies made by Vismay and @phlurrii Meau!

So Ma-ya named probably by Meau for the little merping Ma-ya-ING chirps and calls as a baby. They take the most after Vismay and are therefore more 'old world' than Ancient mew but still developed a crown split into two due to Vismays tendency for doubles with two tails two sets of arms ect, long muscular tail like Meau that attempted to split but didn't reach full separation. They will probably become quite the beast one day.

Then there's Mits! Who takes more after Meau but was named by Vismay for their mitten like second set of arms that lack any digits like mitten gloves. They're considerably more Ancient mew sporting a flatter crown that's more closely connected to the back of their neck so no real gap and not as mighty as their sibling or the other ancient mews but still there and likely creating a healthy safe channel of power flow. However unfortunately when I make twins usually one of them is the runt and Mits is a bit lacking their double tails being quite short considering their heratage and smaller than their sibling. It is possible that they will grow with age and their current lacking tails may grow too, I imagine they may develop a more upright bipedal posture with age too for the tummy like a mewtwo

They both have a fusion of their parents patterns with them having dark and light fading on their paws and Vismays finger stripes, internal ear fluff coloring and almost Meau noses that are wider in color due to Vismays own nose pattern

While I consider Ma-ya the more powerful twin I do think they'd end up being a bit of a megalomaniac with age XD toooooooo much power going to they wee little head which is why Mits is the more ancient mew of the two either by sheer chance or destiny Mits has the gentler nature needed for such immense powers that they will inherit so it won't go to their head at least not in the same way.

Mits would understand the severity of such ability and the dangers and duty they now might hold while Ma-ya wants to turn into a dragon make things go boom XD

At least that is my sorta headcanons/what I've thought up while I've been designing them both because oops all lore. Free to be ignored tho I just tend to ramble.

I forgor their original sketches, Mits was always destined to have tiny tails I just couldn't get them to fit on paper so it was adjusted digitally

I absolutely agree it would be hilarious for kung Lao and Bi Han to start interacting because of Raiden and Tomas!! I’m laughing just thinking about Kung Lao getting bored of third wheeling and wandering off.. he ends up finding Bi Han and decides to poke him as much as possible to see when he explodes. Pushing Bi Han and annoying him in all ways possible becomes a new hobby and he gets frighteningly good at it, almost breaking both arms in the process. (He broke one, the other just got sprained)

Lmao imagining a scene where Raiden and Tomas are having a soft moment- maybe Raiden patching up Tomas’ wounds- and King Lao just screams past them,, a few seconds later Bi Han is following in hot pursuit with a look of murder on his face.
