You’ve officially gotten me on the Landoscar train they are taking over my life and I can’t even hate you for it.

Lando is just so different around Oscar but like, not in a bad way?? Daniel and Carlos were both extroverted and chaotic teammates, and kinda brought out Lando’s goofy side — the side we all know him best for. But Oscar is the polar opposite of Daniel and Carlos. He’s very calm, kinda deadpan in his humor, but he’s so sweet and respectful around Lando it’s adorable. And yeah Lando still teases Oscar but there’s a cute tentativeness about the way he looks at him, like a “Shit I kinda like you and I want you to like me” vibe. The way he kept insisting Oscar should have been on the podium with him? And the way his eyes lit the fuck up when Oscar held his waist? This is just.. a whole different side of Lando and I love it. I’ve seen people commenting that Oscar is kinda bland compared to Daniel and like, yeah Daniel is the life of every party but I think Oscar is a really good calming influence on Lando. Ugh I love this ship your honor.

but YES to all of this!!!!! its very much giving first crush first love first serious relationship i'm SO endeared by all of it. the way they are BOTH trying to impress the other (lando always trying to make oscar laugh, always trying to make oscar a part of it. oscar doing that insane half body fold laugh every time lando says something remotely funny, the way he smiles all proudly when he tells a joke that makes lando laugh its all just so. THE TENTATIVE HAND ON HIS WAIST DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THAT)

and yes!!!! idk lando seems really relaxed around oscar and they seem to genuinly enjoy time together and it just makes me so !!!!! they're not the most like. outgoing or obvious pairing on the grid, but there's something in their quiet adoration for each other that just makes me want to sit in the microwave and spin around for three hours

there’s something extremely extremely creepy about taking an actor that you have known since they were 13 years old, only JUST a teenager, and making them kiss a fully grown woman the second that they turned a legal adult.

Steve Blackman already has a ton of shit out against him which came out recently so it unfortunately doesn’t surprise me that he would write something like this but it makes me genuinely concerned for everything behind the scenes.

There has been a HUGE problem in the Umbrella Academy fandom since season ONE when Aidan was a 13-14 year old of people writing insanely disgusting stuff and defending it because his character was mentally an adult but oh my god did they make it worse. You’d think they’d protect actor & character by avoiding any romantic interaction but instead you have him kiss an actress 15 years older than him. The age gap being the age that he was when they filmed season two. Quite honestly I feel that if he could’ve done this seasons previously and gotten away with it then he definitely would’ve done it, given the jokes that are actively made.

Quite honestly may Steve Blackman never work again if this is how he treats his actors because this is awful. I’m not even done with the season but that gave me very little desire to continue and this show has been important to me in ways I can’t explain. Maybe I am blowing this out of proportion but it feels so insanely creepy and horrific to me and I needed to rant.

Just watched the Wonka movie.

I enjoyed it as a standalone film but especially enjoyed it as a prequel to the Gene Wilder Wonka. It retroactively made Wider’s Willy so much more tragic.

And that’s because Chalamet’s younger, earnest and kind Willy Wonka is CONSTANTLY having his kindness and compassion and belief in the good intentions of others thrown back at his face almost. Every. Single. Time.

What happens to him, in no particular order: People take advantage of him when he is at his lowest; they sabotage his chocolate; Hugh Grant steal his chocolate and beats him with a frying pan; he is nearly drowned by the chief of police; a boat he’s in is rigged to explode; they try to drown him AGAIN but now in melted chocolate under a church; he is tricked into debt and forced into indentured servitude; the chocolate mafia wants him dead; he has to crawl in the sewers just to sell his chocolate without the police beating the shit out of him at the chocolate mafia’s command, and a bunch of other moments either his earnest nature (or the fact he is illiterate, because by the way he is illiterate) is taken advantage of.

But he keeps believing in the good of others. He has friends, and a pseudo daughter that taught him how to read and his mother’s memory and so many dreams…

And then we arrive at Wilder Wonka. Who was betrayed one too many times. Who had his recipes stolen from him. Who shut himself from the world and trusts no one.

Who doesn’t care for these spoiled people walking around his factory, even if they were his last attempt at proving to himself that good people, good kids (Like Noodle) still exist.

Who is alone.

TL;DR: seeing a young Wonka who is so optimistic knowing how he is going to end up after being betrayed over and over and over again is a emotional experience that I was not quite ready for.
