Calm and reserved: Despite having her moments of being a spitfire, she is actually a well composed individual and this really helps her in matters of survival. Although pretty social sometimes, then she can be completely asocial, Marlene is not exactly the kind of person who wouldn't instantly show her actual personality to others whom she'd just met. She handles stressful situations with the pressure very well most of time.

Selfless and loyal: Marlene may be an impassive and hardened young woman, but she has a good soul and heart. Those who are lucky to be a genuine friend of hers are privileged to see her display her true self at most times. Has the tendency to put others before herself. Marlene's love language is giving gifts, acts of service, and physical touch- which the latter is a rare thing of her to do frequently as a young adult now. Keeps it discreet though.

Tough as nails: She is unbelievably durable and endures a lot of life-threatening situations. Often gets underestimated by others, but tends to straighten them up with a surprise. She grew up with tough love and Melissa, her mother, was fiercely overprotective with her only child. Once they settled somewhere in California when she was eight where Marlene finally got enrolled in a public school where her peers would eventually learn about her intellect. She never knew how, or where, her mother earned her huge incomes to financially support themselves, but knows Melissa just has an every important job whenever she isn't home. Besides, whenever her mother was confronted, she was just met with a firm look by her and the woman stating that it's none of her concern as Marlene should just focus on herself. Eventually this led to her rebellious behaviour before incidents occurred and slowly shaped Marlene into a withdrawn teenager in college."

What kind of magic were the Rosicrucians up to? I know they really liked and used John Dee's kickass Monas Heiroglyphica, so were/are they hardcore Enochians? Or were they more of a more thoroughly Christian Golden Dawn? Or did/do they have a magic system more specific to them?

There's a TON of misinformation about the RXs, which makes properly characterizing them difficult. Generally speaking, they're a mix of Hermetica, mystical alchemy, and assorted Christian mysticism.

A reasonable occultist could totally disagree, but imo they lean way heavier on alchemical symbology and Masonic ritual structures than they do Reuchlin and Dee. They liked their mystical semiotics, don't get me wrong, but there's more Reuchlin than Dee.

It might be quibbling over terms, but I would say they have a distinct ritual structure rather than a unique form of magic.

Fallout characters react to Jujutsu Kaisen Abridged (or at least their variants in it)

Was inspired by AO3 user StrykerKitsune with their fic "Miraculous watching Hellsing Abridged with a twist" and their hilarious (and kind of chilling) interpretation of the cast of Miraculous Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir watching Hellsing Abridged by TeamFourStar but instead of the main Hellsing cast its replaced with variants of the Miraculous cast who are watching it (So instead of Alucard, Seras, Integra and Bernadotte, they were variations of Luka, Marinette, Kagami and Adrien respectively). The funniest and unique react fic I've read so far (considering instead of watching Miraculous, that cast watched themselves play the role of the Hellsing Abridged cast) and I'd advise you give it a read if you want to burst in tears.

Anyway, thinking about that today gave me a surge of inspiration to write a react fic... but with (most) of the Fallout cast watching variants of themselves playing the roles of the main cast in The Schmuck Squad's Jujutsu Kaisen Abridged.

Solemn and sometimes fun seriousness watches pure absurd crack.

This will include characters from Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 4 and maybe Fallout 76 while we're at it.

Now as for the characterization of the Vault Dweller, the Chosen One, the Lone Wanderer, the Courier, the Sole Survivor and the Resident, they will be based on my Fallout OCs:

Elrand Brandt (Vault Dweller), Finidy Mona (Chosen One), Alph Dolen (Lone Wanderer), Ryder (Courier), Nate Gust Sarid (Sole Survivor) and Vega (Resident). None of my other OCs (e.g. Ortega "Ore" Brantley, Marissa "Ress" Bishop, Arcane Urias, Mathias "Mason" Talos, Aggravor, etc) from A Radioactive Calamity of Love, Bombs & Gore will be included, as this is purely for Fallout. I will be posting my Fallout OCs' character sheets (?) from now to whenever, before the polls of course.

The "watchers/reactors" will mostly comprise of the Fallout protagonists (who will be my OCs to avoid vague personality conflicts plus other things with a mostly voiceless and customizable character), their companions, story-relevant leaders, one or two DLC relevant characters and whoever else I personally think should be there. None of them will include antagonists (unless the antagonist/immoral figure is a companion or story-relevant, like Myron, Dean Domino, Ulysses, Strong, X6-88, Porter Gage, etc).

However, on the "Abridged Variants" side, characters will be chosen through polls that I'm gonna be posting either everyday or every week depending on how I feel. These polls will discern which Fallout character plays the abridged version of the Jujutsu Kaisen cast, and I will be presenting options I personally believe could do some good but also an optional "name a character in the tags" (and if it's a Fallout protagonist, just call them by their titles if you can't remember my OCs' names). This will include protagonists and antagonists. Now the size of the variant characters will only be as large or as important as those that significantly appear in the abridged version, not the source material (so Junpei's teacher, his most minor bullies, the unnamed student who interupts Itadori's "spooky little flip-flop grilled cheese bullshit club", etc won't be casted as variants).

I'll also find an OC to host this little reaction because why not, you know?

Anyway, to summarize: Gonna make a "Fallout characters watch/react to their variants in Jujutsu Kaisen Abridged", will include characters from most, if not, all of the Fallout games, characterization of the Fallout protagonists will be based on the OCs I have for them, will not include the mystical OCs from A Radioactive Calamity of Love, Bombs & Gore, character sheets for the former OCs will be posted before the polls, said polls will indicate which characters become a Jujutsu Kaisen Abridged variant (and the time period of the polls vary depending on character importance), watchers/reactors only include protagonists and characters of importance and will not include antagonists (excluding amoral/immoral companions or story relevant non-companions like Ulysses), but variants will include both protagonists and antagonists. Extremely minor characters or unnamed characters won't be casted and lastly an OC of mine will be the host of the reaction fic.

Hypnosis Mic -D.R.B.- Rule the Stage (Blade Maiden vs. MAD TRIGGER CREW)

Sypnosis:

After progressing through the preliminary rounds, Blade Maiden is chosen as the representative team for Taitō Division in the D.R.B. Azusa Furukawa, leader of the group, is grateful to her friends and teammates, Fleuret Oshiro and Eldrid Iwasaki, for supporting her in this battle, of which they have no stakes.

One day, before her afternoon lessons begin, one of Azusa's senior students rushes into the dojo revealing that some of the apprentices have been attacked by members of the Katen family of Yokohama. Shocked by this news, Azusa cancels classes for the rest of the day and rushes to the hospital where her students are being cared for. She is relieved that thankfully their injuries are not life-threatening, but they will be unable to practice kendo for a month or so. Upset by this blatant and unprecedented attack, Azusa, along with Fleuret and Eldrid, head for Yokohama to have Samatoki Aohitsugi, leader of the Yokohama Division team, MAD TRIGGER CREW, and second-in-command of the Katen family, explain his actions.

After being allowed entry, Samatoki angrily explains that the attack was retribution, as some of Azusa's students had attacked members of the Katen family days earlier. Shocked by this revelation, Azusa does not believe that her students would do something like this, but Samatoki does not care if she believes him or not, as her men were still injured by her students. Before tensions can increase, Azusa states that she will leave for now in order to find out more about this. However, before leaving, she warns Samatoki that if his words turn out to be false, there will be repercussions for his and his family's actions.

The next day, Azusa asks her students if any of them have been to Yokohama or attacked the Katen family; none of them have. Seeing the sincerity in their faces and voices, the dojo instructor believes them and concludes that Samatoki was lying. However, Fleuret, who had contacted her boyfriend, Rio Mason Busujima, the night before, explains that some figures wielding kendo sticks were seen in Yokohama, a few days prior. This news worries Azusa, and she again questions her students.

A few of them, after working up the courage, reveal to their teacher that, a few days prior, after their afternoon lessons had ended, were making their way home but came across a "figure" who, strangely enough, was holding onto what looked like a Hypnosis Microphone. The students state that the figure held up the microphone and that after that, they couldn't recall what had happened next, as their memories are a blur.

Before Azusa can process this news and meditate on it, she receives a message stating that Blade Maiden will face MAD TRIGGER CREW in the next round of the D.R.B. With little choice, the Taitō Division team prepares to square off against Yokohama. Will the women of Taitō use their mic skills to "cut apart" the Yokohama team? Or will Blade Maiden's swords fail them as MTC shows them the futility of wielding blades in this day and age?

LITG: Who Would Date Black Women (S4 Edition)

Hey all! This took longer than needed. S4 is exhausting! The characters are exhausting, the season is exhausting. So for this season, again I'm going by the vibes I get from the characters, but it's a lot harder because we barely know this cast (besides Angie and maybe Will.)

But before I start, I would like to address something: to all the ladies out there who were offended by these headcanons, don't be! These headcanons were based on MY opinions, MY experience and MY assessment of these characters.

I don't regret doing these headcanons. I enjoyed them and that's my truth.

Now for my headcanons for the S4 cast:

Angie: Doesn't have much experience in dating women but unlike Priya, Angie seems more laid back and less fussy. She's more open to the possibility. She just needs more experience in dating other women.

Bruno: Honestly, yeah. He's open to it. He just doesn't think that he has a chance to date a black woman, because most black women date only black men. But let him know that you're open to getting to know him romantically and he'll come running 😏

Cora: Yes.

Dylan: Yes, but don't do it! He's not a good person 😕

Hazeem: Unlike Arjun, I can see Hazeem dating a black girl for a long while. I mean he was coupled up with Thabi, he had a huge crush on Najuma AND he pursued her throughout his time in the Villa. So yes.

James: Congratulations 🎊 👏🏾 We have found another 🦄 black man! Hooray! 🎊🎉 Not only because he gets together with Thabi but he also has that vibe that he cares about black women's wellbeing. He prefers black women and he will always prefer black women.

Kelly: Maybe?

Kobi: Like Mason and Ibrahim before him, Kobi likes anything and anyone who's NOT black. The fact that he is in a throuple with TWO white women is insane! The first Canon throuple people!

Najuma: Um yes. She wants and likes every 🐱

Oliver: Hmmm... yeah. I can see it. It would be very cute 😍

Tom: As dull as Tom is, I can see it. She would make him smile every day, take care of him and make him blush a lot ☺️ She would brighten up his otherwise dull life. YES.

Valentina: To me, Valentina loves women more so sure. I can see them being a power couple, all glamorous and living their best lives.

Will: Yes, I most definitely see Mr. Kimura dating a black woman. Thabi IS one of his main love interests in the game (whether folks like it or not) so duh! He would definitely paint a portrait of her and hang it in his living room, going on about how she's his Mona Lisa. He's that corny.

Youcef: Actually yes. He pursued Najuma the very moment he came into the Villa so yes, he would.

Okay so that's it for this series. If there's a Season 5, I might do it but I don't have much hope for the game at this point 💀

Ohohoho, I can't wait for my MC to bring baked goodies into the workplace just for M to haughtily refuse, only for them to be caught savoring some when they think they're not being watched.

MC: "Treat?"

M frowns. "I don't eat sweets. And I'd rather not eat anything from you lest I fuck myself over by getting food poisoning."

MC gives them a dark look. "Whatever. Don't say I didn't offer you anything."

Later, as the rest of the co-workers are salivating over MC's baked goods: "I don't know how you can eat that. Probably poisoned it." A very deadpan joke.

When the co-workers leave, M lingers around the table, occasionally glancing at the baked goods. They look around to make sure the coast is clear. With a scowl, they grab a treat and inspect it. "Probably not even that good," they mutter . They take a bite, realize it really is that good, and scowl. "Crap. This is amazing." What else is MC good at?

M takes another bite and closes their eyes, relishing the taste. They imagine MC baking it in their home and then feel their cheeks burn at the fact that they just caught themself thinking of MC.

Get out of my head, MC.

Someone comes in and M immediately tosses the treat in the trash, not before choking on the last piece in their attempt to either swallow it or spit it out. They couldn't decide in time. "What are you doing?" their co-worker asks. When they catch M coughing, their eyes widen. "Are you choking?"

"No. And mind your business. Stop asking me so many questions," M snaps and rushes out of the room as if just caught watching porn or something lol.

Hèrmes Wins MetaBirkins Lawsuit Update 2/8/23: After over a year of litigation, Hérmes has won its lawsuit against the creator of the NFT project MetaBirkins, Mason Rothschild. The company was awarded $133,000 in damages and jurors found that the MetaBirkin NFTs were not art protected by the First Amendment.Original 1/18/22: Things are getting messy in the metaverse. Over the holidays, artist Mason Rothschild posted an open letter on Instagram to address an alleged cease and desist sent to him by Hèrmes. The issue at hand?
