The traveler is sick of those horny immortals lol. Imagine one quest being babysitting the kids just so these archons can bang their hot milf wife. Would Xiao count as Zhongli’s kid, too? Oh, and Scara being all uwu with his scarier sister is just *chef’s kiss*
Liyue legit going bonkers after each dragon baby???? Yes. Birthdays? National holidays. And then Zhongli fakes his death and there’s talk about maybe one of the kids taking on geo daddy’s position or something. So much potential for drama! How would they make the kids keep the secret? With a lot of struggles. The adepti showing up to bestow gifts on each dragon baby like the three good fairies from Sleeping Beauty.
Ei just vibing with her wife. Chilling while fondling each other and making out. So fun. So cool. Nothing to stress about here. Occasionally taking out their kids on a family outing with Scara being the cutest eldest child that he is. Like. Let them be happy!!!
Venti literally sobbing in Angel’s Share because he was NTR’d by two archons and Diluc just goes ????? every single time until Venti shows up with the rest of them and their kids. (Venti can recognize Reader anywhere anytime because he knows that ass better than anyone.)
I just mhmmmhhnnnngg this AU HAS ME BY THE THROAT
YES YES YES TO ALL OF THIS!!
zhongli’s kids would definitely have their eyes on the geo archon seat after he fakes his death. they can’t have scara getting all the glory of being the only sibling who’s an archon. zhongli suggests they make a tournament - whoever manages to stay awake until zhongli ends his lecture about the responsibilities of ruling liyue and going through its entire history and culture wins. none of them last an hour. the seat of the geo archon remains empty up to this day. fun little fact tho! zhongli didn’t tell them his plans to fake his death so they all thought he actually died. they were on the verge of tearing down liyue until you appeared and said ‘it’s a prank!’ they also help the adepti and the qixing in fighting osial!!
xiao is the honorary brother that scara refuses to acknowledge bc it would mean he’s not the eldest anymore. he half-raised those kids bc god knows their parents were too busy banging each other and spawning more of them. scara is actually a really good ruler!! the raiden shogun balances his softer side. xiao, scara, and raiden shogun basically half-raised their siblings. they bonded over it <3
AND VENTI LMAOO he would lament to diluc and the traveler about those two archons who “seduced his beloved priestess.” at windrise when venti’s telling traveler abt morax, he says something along the lines of “oh, and don’t trust that old geezer too much he’s a backstabbing little bitch who stole my wife.” traveler actually has a very different experience in this au. mostly bc traveler has to be the mediator whenever the three archons start complaining about the other ‘hogging you all to themself’.
venti arrives in mondstadt during the windblume festival with three other people and a boatload of other people who suspiciously look like a mix of their features. it’s better to not ask anything. jean didn’t ask to host that year’s festival with two additional gods and the high priestess herself who’s been quiet for centuries until now. oh, and now the electro archon is here in a grumpy mood, asking why they didn’t invite him over. um, probably because you have a whole country to rule? jean thinks it’s time for a vacation.
on a more serious note tho, their decisions could create a huge succession war on liyue. each kid fighting to become the geo archon. it could replace the inazuma archon quest since the traveler wouldn’t really encounter much problems there with scara as the electro archon. maybe scara gets involved at the succession war at some point as the eldest and the traveler gets dragged along. reader, ei, zhongli, and venti are all just watching and enjoying their retirement. it’s only a matter of time before the succession for the anemo archon’s position was put into question. luckily for them, venti doesn’t have kids with you. yet.
traveler: your kids are killing each other!
them: oh, they’re play fighting how cute :)

Prompt: "Will You Marry Me?" - Proposal Headcannons Characters: Everyone :) Part(s): Heartslabyul, Savanaclaw, Octavinelle, Scarabia(Here!), Pomefiore, Ignihyde, Diasomnia(Pt.1)(Pt.2) Fandom: Twisted Wonderland Warning(s): None. I mean, unless you don't want to marry any of them. Just don't read if that's the case. Note: There may be some comma splicing here and there. Sometimes doing bullet works is more difficult than full fics smh.
Tumblr media
Kalim is a dreamer. His mind is full of visions of the past, present, and the future. Why else do we make memories, if not to reflect on them and imagine what is to come?
This is his outlook on life. He doesn't give energy to worries or threats. He physically can't, or else he'd likely fall into an endless abyss of self-doubt. Kalim has no space in his heart for such things.
His happy-go-lucky attitude combined with this free spirit results in a loose lip. He is constantly ranting and raving about his future by your side. Which is lovely, but his over-zealous behavior can cause others not to take him seriously.
Exhibit A: Kalim proposing. Now, is this Kalim *actually* planning to propose, or is it just him beginning his weekly rant about how cute he thinks your kids will look?
Kalim's heart is an open book. He doesn't care about other people's opinions. He loves you, so he's going to say it. Every. Single. Day.
Can you blame his siblings for not believing him? For his parents not taking him seriously? He comes home one random day and spouting a tangent to begin preparing for an engagement party which just sounds like common Kailm behavior.
Not even Jamil believes him. Not after countless years of hearing Kalim's lovesick Jargen. He just groans in exhaustion and signals for everyone to ignore it.
Sweet sunshine doesn't realize that he is being overlooked until he whips out a ring to ask his mother's opinion on it, and suddenly the room is drop dead silent.
Then uproar. All his siblings are crowding around to share his excitement and it's like the room's aura made a complete change. Kalim thrives in the attention and all the well wishes.
He hopes they'll be just as happy once you say yes! If not more!
.....cue Jamil's groan. Again. This time in frustration.
They should have know. Of course he would do all this before asking.
Bless you for your patience. With his parents' blessing, Kalim once again gets wrapped up in his excitement and runs off to visit you.
Moving on. This...overzealous...behavior Kalim exhibits does not only apply to his family and friends.
My dear, he has proposed many times to you in casual conversation. Dreaming of a big wedding with a feast to serve hundreds. He displays tooth-rotting infatuation to you on a daily basis.
Kalim sends flowers and fruit baskets to your home weekly. He cherishes you like you've been dating for months, not years. The man is stuck in the puppy love stage but for him it isn't a 'stage'. It's simply how he will always be. The spark has not dimmed. He still hums as he knocks on your door, bouncing on the balls of his feet, and shoves his shoes off with super speed to tackle you in a hug.
Get it?
This is why you are not taken aback by the rapid knocking on your door. Kalim stopping by on impulse just to see you is not rare. Although, he normally would send a plethora of texts while on his way.
Even so. You don't hesitate to dry your hands from cleaning dishes, and speed walk to the door. You can hear his shoes tap against the outdoor floor in anticipation, and swing the door open with a smile.
On the other side, is Kalim down on one knee with a hand aimed to knock again. When he sees you, the largest grin spreads on his face. You don't even get to question why he is on the ground-
"Marry Me!"
Used to his excitable greetings, you laugh heartily and throw the dishrag in your hand over your shoulder. "Mhm. Mhm. I missed you too," comes out between chuckles, as you turn around so he can let himself in. You miss the way his face falls and his lips purse, before he grabs your wrist and yanks. You twirl and stumble forward, catching yourself on the door frame, hunched over with your wrist still in his grasp.
Kalim is resolute, and you can't help but gawk as he pulls out a ring wrapped in a gold, silk handkerchief from his pocket
"Marry Me," he says again, this time more firm. His ruby hues lock with yours, and he looks both at and through you at the same time, "I love you. I want you. Only you,"
He says no more. There is a lifetime for flourishes, but right now Kalim only wants you to know what is in his heart.
When you don't back away, he slips the ring over your finger. His heart hammers in his chest in a mix of jubilation and happiness. Not a moment later you are in his arms, tackled to the ground in the doorway of your home. Kisses being peppered up your arms from your ring finger to your lips.
Tumblr media
{A bright pink diamond sits amidst a sunburst cut, and is surrounded by other pure diamonds on a silver band. The biggest expression of wealth and devotion. This ring costs enough to make you feint, but is chosen with purpose. Many say Kalim is like the sun. Yet in his eyes, you are his sun. There is no comparison. Only fact. Pink diamonds symbolize love, creativity, and romance. You are his sun, with all his love residing at the core. Also, it’s just really shiny}
Tumblr media
If mystery was embodied in a man, it would be Jamil. You never know what is going on in Jamil's mind. Sometimes he slips. Rarely. If you can fluster him enough or find him when he hasn't slept in days. Otherwise Jamil is a brick wall when it comes to his true emotions.
Especially when it comes to you. He has always been exceedingly careful. He is still careful. He takes no chances, but he loves your game. The way you can pick him apart, and how he always has to be one step ahead. It’s challenging. It’s exciting. It’s love.
You see how he holds back. That he reigns himself in. In the few years you have spent at his side, you've learned to read him in ways that other people cannot. There are times when you get to see him become overcome with passion. When he is dancing, or when he is broom racing with his dormmates. When he is cooking a new dish or haggling prices on shopping trips.
When he confessed his feelings. It was the greatest surprise since being transported to a new universe. You had no idea how he felt. Not an inkling. Had he not said anything….well, you may have gone your entire time at NRC believing your affections were unrequited. He had no tells. Permitted none for himself.
On one hand, his ability to dilute his emotions has created many opportunities for surprises. Getting to see those little moments of passion; being one. Each action of his has a meaning that only you understand. Every glance as you pass in the halls, the brush of his fingers against yours as you sit together to study, being allowed to braid his hair even if it’s just to “keep you quiet”, all his little quips and murmurs being whispered into your ear instead of under his breath.
On the other hand, there are still barriers. Some closed tightly and no matter how hard you search for a key - there isn’t one. It was broken a long time ago and only Jamil himself can remanufacture it. Sometimes his resilience makes it hard to tell what he is planning…which can be lonely.
In your final year at NRC, many things are uncertain. This place is all you have ever known in Twisted Wonderland. With it being taken away…you do not have a floor to stand on. On the other hand, Jamil looks fine, if not *eager*, to graduate. Neither of you addressed what would become of your relationship after graduating. Jamil had thought of it, no doubt. He thinks of everything. You had as well, but were afraid to ask. When it came to the future, Jamil was always so resolute. He knew his path in life and planned to continue carving it.
The question hanging in the air being if you’d be chiseling alongside him, or in a different direction. Unknown to you, Jamil had this problem solved long before you began to wonder - and he was one step ahead. As always.
A ring. Unassuming and in plain sight, sat on the rim of the windowsill above the kitchen sink. How did it get there? You do not know, but it caught your attention as you cleaned up from breakfast. The morning sun glistened against the band, and you carefully picked it up to twirl between your fingers.
An engagement ring, but whose?
“Well, are you going to put it on or just stare at it?”
You jump and nearly drop the ring in the kitchen sink. In the reflection of the window you see Jamil, leaning against the doorway with his arms crossed and his classic unamused deadpan. At your silence, he pushes off and comes to take the ring
“Last time I take advice from - ,” he grumbles and you miss the rest of it, too distracted with how he plucks the ring from your grasp, and holds your hand more gently than you ever thought he could. He stares down at it, content, and surprised you yet again with his tender touch“hmm…it fits. Good”
It slips on your finger smoothly, and he lifts your hand to wave in your face. This time, an unspoken communication passes between you. A promise that you are going to have a lifetime to pick apart those little mannerisms of his - and that he wants you to. He loves this game of secrets just as much as you do.
“Be my spouse. Go where I go, and we’ll be fine. Together….I can’t handle if you’re not near. I’ll lose my hair, do you want that? Want me to go bald?…come with me. You are the one happiness that I refuse to sacrifice,”
Tumblr media
{ Rose gold with a floral cut and black gemstone accents. Jamil’s ring is small, unassuming, yet the closer you look the lore detail you will see carved into the gold band. You will note the little gems, upholding the core. Some pure as the ring’s heart and others a sharp contrast - drawing attention to the center. Jamil’s ring is somehow both modest and bold at the same time. A reflection of the giver}

if they get isekai’d to our world
Tumblr media
characters: tighnari, nilou, yun jin, eula, aether, lumine, heizou, kazuha, xiao
genre: fluff
an: this is completely self indulgent and i may make a part 2 of this when i’m feeling up for it. take this post before i vanish again for the week. i’ll see you all again on the weekends <3
notes: not proofread, gender neutral reader, swearing, written in hc form so it’s short/weird, reverse isekai trope, written in one day
reblogs are appreciated!
Tumblr media
trusting tighnari with your plants.
he’s experienced in the botanical area, so have him tend to them. it’ll also give him an opportunity to study/observe said plant(s), so just have him watch your plants when you don’t have the time. he’ll be very happy.
but if he finds out that you haven’t been caring for them before the isekai fiasco, he will scold you. and then give you a lecture on why and how you should care for them.
if you have like a book on plants/biology/anything plant related, he’ll be thrilled to read such a book from you. he will spend sleepless nights reading it, and you have to remind him to take it easy.
nilou, yun jin, and eula playing just dance.
nilou’s having a great time, ended up getting high scores while eula is flustered but she still maintains her graceful stature when dancing.
eula didn’t want to play at first because she’s suspicious of the game, but she was dragged into playing so she didn’t have any other choice. she ended up liking it but of course she doesn’t admit it. and yun jin is just glad she gets to be a part of it.
all of you are dancing the night away frfr
having venti listen to your playlists.
as it’s known, he knows every song in existence. but listening to your playlists, he’s surprised he’s never heard of such a tune before. because, you know, he’s not from your world.
but even so, it reels him in wanting more. so he begs you to borrow your phone to listen to your playlists, especially new ones you just made.
when you left your phone somewhere unattended and venti came across it, he looked both sides before snagging your phone off of its place to listen to your playlists in secret. ehe.
aether & lumine being your errand buddies.
if you’re planning to go out to run an errand like buying groceries or something, these two are the first ones to volunteer to help. i know they do everything in teyvat; doing shit for everyone and all that but this is different. when they got isekai’d, they’re reunited! (i’m going to ignore the abyss sibling bullshit okay let me write in peace i want these two to be happy)
so they’re returning the favor by assisting you in anything! even in your house, they still help you with chores and whatnot! which made you worry for them, so you’ve decided to arrange a time where you all could sit and chat. they talked about their journeys to other worlds, and you could listen to them talk for hours.
introducing heizou to true crime documentaries.
ohhhhh boy you know he will binge the SHIT out of them. now that he doesn’t have to deal with missing pets, he has something interesting to indulge himself in.
he ends up figuring out who’s the culprit before the show could even reveal who. which shocks you, if you’re the type to take a long time trying to connect the dots.
if you show him some unsolved cases, you know damn well he’ll look/watch into it. you have a smart detective on your hands, and if he ends up solving them as well, you must be writhing in pride that you and heizou are the only ones who know the truth.
kazuha asking you to go out on a stroll from time to time.
one time when he accompanies you and your errand buddies because he wants to see what your world looks like in addition to lending another hand, he wants to see that again. the wind, the sky, the view, all of that. it’s all unique to him.
so, expect him to ask you if you’d like to go out on a little stroll for a while. it’s an excuse for him to feel what your world would be like, to digest its features and compliment it all in a poetic sense.
most likely points out the colors of the leaves you guys walk by. he’s just blabbering about nature while you’re out here digesting his words and your mind turns into an actual tree from listening.
teaching xiao everything you know about your world.
yes, this seems bland, but listen. xiao is oblivious to how teyvat works in terms of tradition/humans, and now that he’s isekai’d to your world, you have to teach this poor innocent individual.
he needs information in order to adapt to this new world he’s not familiar with, knowing there’s not really a way out.
xiao is listening intently and nodding to everything you say, asking questions at the same time.
this isn’t part of the headcanon, but he’s also cautious when you say you’re going to go out at night especially when aether & lumine are busy with other matters. if that were to happen he will be the one to step in. no danger will befall you when you have a yaksha by your side.

Chapter 28: A Fall
Silence.
That's all there was.
A deafening silence that was drowned by loud ringing in your ears.
Your breath caught in your throat. Stuttering inhales was all that passed through your lungs as you watched what was left of Lucerys and his dragon fall down into the depths of the storm below, clouds opening to swallow them.
You watched as a singular wing, spun delicately in circles down into the abyss, slipping out of sight as it fell into a dark black cloud.
A hole opened up inside you and you tumbled through it. You had thought that with the loss of your sister and Grandsire that that was as bad as grief could get. But you were wrong.
They say that when twins are born, and one of them dies, the other is cursed to live out their days incomplete. Half full. A half life. A piece that is always starkly missing.
Could the same be said about an older siblings loss of a younger one?
A boy not quite a man?
“No, Vhagar!” Came the distressed voice of your uncle.
The hole within you cracked open wider, like a great big mouth full of teeth and spit and rage. It opened and pulled at you as you stared into the clouds. Then there was nothing but burning hot fury. It simmered and burst within you.
It felt like you had been doused with water how quickly you changed. How quickly that grief was swallowed by those jaws and you were reborn into something fiery. Unknown. Untamed.
Like a coin had been tossed, and landed on the other side.
You sucked in a sharp breath, face tensed with rage.
“What have you done.”
Lucerys.
Your sweet Lucerys.
A young boy, innocent and kind, ever so careful to take care of the others around him. What was left of him now? What did you have left to prove that he existed in the first place? Besides a now empty chambers and small clothes and perhaps the subtle hint of his scent...
There was nothing.
Not a body to bury nor burn. To save. To say goodbye to.
Taken too early. Too young. Too violently.
You had offered your eye. You had offered to settle Aemond's petty grievances. You had begged.
Begged.
You should have done something.
You should have done more.
You could have.
You could have stopped it all in the Red Keep. You could have in your room. You could have taken his other eye, or slit his throat and stood at the large puddle of blood that would have seeped out onto the stone floors beneath you, and yet you were too craven to do it.
Too held back by the love you once held for Aemond as a child.
And where did that get you?
There is something to be said about rage. A dangerous thing if not controlled or tamed, and it burns, like wildfire, consuming everything in its path until there is nothing but you and it.
And then, it will consume you too.
Leaning your body, tugging the spines on Syndor's back, you yanked the large dragon to fly directly at Vhagar, letting a cry break from your lips.
“Dracarys, Syndor!”
The rumble of Syndor came loudly as large plumes of flame broke through the air, the heat surrounding you as Aemond yanked desperately at his reins to steer Vhagar away.
Syndor’s flames licked at Vhagar's back, just barely missing your uncle.
You screamed, Syndor swooping down towards Vhagar, the burning flames hitting the side of the older dragon who turned to fly at you. The tiny disembodied voice of your uncle called for the great beast to obey him and stop.
“Dohaeragon nyke, Vhagar!” (Serve me!) Your uncle cried, his ancient war dragon disobeying him.
Her great jaws opened, strings of bloodied saliva slipped from her snout as flesh sat stuck in her teeth. Her great jaws snapped at Syndor, trying to bite him as you narrowly dodged the old beast, the larger dragon following you.
Syndor soared sharply upwards, wings carrying you further into the sky. Once reaching a peak he turned sharply, wings slightly tucked into his body as he dived for your uncle's dragon.
Wind whipped past your face as your stomach dropped in your body from the steep climb, knuckles burning from the hold you had of his body to stay on.
“Dracarys!” You commanded, large flames spraying out of his mouth at Vhagar's face, the vibrations of the action rattling up through the bones in your body.
The flames singed the side Vhagar's face, your uncle's arm coming to shield him as she cried out, large green body turning sharply away.
You let out a broken laugh as you watched the older dragon shake her head from the flame, feeling the bond between you and Syndor fuel your anger and grief.
Syndor flew high, wings spreading before he dived for Vhagar again, his large talons stretched out searching for purchase on the green dragon. His shriek piercing the skies as you screamed with him. Your hold on his spines was tight as his claws tore into the back leg of Vhagar, large black jaw biting her back, only just missing your uncle.
Syndor jerked his head away from Vhagar, letting go of her as she fell slightly, a large tear in her back leg bleeding heavily as she shrieked, fire flying from her mouth back at you both.
The heat surrounded you, but you were not burned.
“Stop, Vhagar! I command you! Obey me Vhagar! Dohaeragon nyke!” Your uncle desperately screamed as the large dragon suddenly dipped down into the dark clouds below you. Your heart raced in your chest, tears steadily beginning to fall from your face.
“Ossēnagon zirȳ.” (Kill them.) You growled, slowly descending back into the dark storm that began it all.
The rain fell heavily on your face once more, distorting your vision.
You held a hand up to shield your eyes from the downpour. Large flashes of lightning lighting up the sky, thunder cracking all around you. You could barely see. You could barely hear. And all that fuelled you was your rage and grief.
That hole inside of you twisted and burned and churned painfully in your chest. How empty you felt whilst also so full. An eye for an eye?
An eye for an eye.
A life for a life.
“Sōvegon, Syndor!” (Fly) You commanded searching through the darkness for sight of Prince Aemond, soaring above the stormy depths below.
You were entirely drenched, the rain dripping off of your face as it continued to pour down. Your body felt heavy from the weight of your loss. Your fingers twitched in their hold, mind reeling of what you had witnessed. You turned your head frantically, trying to find the One-Eyed Prince.
Lucerys was gone.
He was pure, he was kind, and he was taken from you. He was taken and you would take back. Aemond had declared war. Aemond was a Kinslayer. Lucerys would be avenged.
Lucerys...
As you searched below you, you looked at the large waves crashing over each other, climbing over one another, pushing down to drown and then ripping themselves back up and over and thought, what if he had survived?
“Lucerys!” You called out into the darkness, some small piece of hope praying that you would hear a miracle. Begging the Gods to see that small mop of brown hair appear in the waves below, unharmed.
The storm was loud in your ears as Syndor shrieked out with you.
“Lucerys!” You cried frantically, praying to the Seven that he somehow survived.
That by some miracle, your brother had survived not only Vhagar's jaws, but the stormy depths below. You swore to the old Gods that if they returned him to you, that you would pray everyday, that you would convert and live out your days as a mouthpiece for them.
You would do anything they asked of you.
The rain pelted down on your skin, making it harder for you to see. You rubbed viciously at your eyes, trying to clear them to see ahead of you, to find any sight of your uncle, of his dragon, or an end to the storm.
“Lucer-“
Your body is knocked from Syndor.
Your hands slipped away from the dark dragons back, fingers desperately grasping for purchase on his spines and horns, their grip slipping from the rain. The weight of your body and wet clothes pulled you off of your dragon.
And so you fell.
'A great fall.'
You remember now.
As you fell, you watched Vhagar's jaws dig into Syndor's side as they fought above you. Two large dragons, fighting above you. It almost looked like a dance. A dance of dragons.
“No…. Vhagar…..” You heard the broken voice of your Kinslayer uncle from above, as wind whipped past your ears.
You felt weightless as you fell.
It was almost... peaceful.
Your eyes began to spot as you fell further into the abyss, rain beating against you. You couldn't even breath as you fell. You were frozen.
You were slowly losing consciousness.
What a funny way to die, you thought.
A broken smile slid on your face. You never thought that falling would feel like this, like time stood still, like everything was happening in slow motion. Was this what it was like to fly?
You hoped you would see your brother.
A great fall.
Then nothing.

Synopsis: The Tsaritsa sends two of her finest assassins to take out the head of the Kamisato clan. It's funny how repressed emotions and forgotten memories resurface at the worst times.

2 am
Nothing good happens after 2 am. Childe is starting to wonder if that's true. You lie on the floor, eyes muddled with sorrow with abhorrence, with madness untamed. A vodka bottle lays limp in your hand, drained of its essence, drained of its purpose. He wonders if that's symbolic if you feel the same as the empty glass.
You are here to serve your purpose, and so is he. It's as simple as that.
Or maybe it's not.
His hands reach out to touch you. To feel you. Yet you're two whole eternities away. Your face looks like oblivion, like damnation, like the abyss he misses with all his shattered soul.
1:00 pm
Inazuma is purple. The fallen sakura leaves, the glimmer in the air, the glow of lightening in the distance.
It's all purple.
And all too familiar.
Childe's gun is loaded, finger flirting with the trigger. The sun's rays bounce off the shimmering tiles of a traditional estate. You're here to kill the head of some clan whose influence has begun to annoy the Tsaritsa. It should be quick, a bullet through the heart, and then you're done.
It's easy, you've done this countless times before.
So why does your whole body quake when you see him?
His lips are painted into a practiced smile. Eyes shimmering with a fakeness that revives dead memories.
You know him, from another lifetime.
Another life when you'd been a normal girl who'd fallen in love with a not-so-normal boy.
Childe pulls the trigger.
You scream.
3:00 am
Thunder cracks outside and Childe thinks he might love you. Actually love you. Something akin to freshly splatted blood and the smell of a newly made handgun.
Sometimes he dreams of home, a home where you and him can pretend to be normal. Somewhere warm with sugar-tainted kisses and early morning "I love yous". Things that are sweet, romantic, domestic.
He doubts it'll ever happen.
1:01 pm
Ayato's body lies limp on the dirt. His sister kneels beside his corpse screaming incomprehensible verbiage that tugs at your heartstrings.
She cries and you do too.
Childe's fingers find their way to your head, fingers dancing across your hairline.
"I knew him" you mutter. How could you have been so stupid, so arrogant? You hadn't even asked who the target was when Childe told you there was a new mission. You'd nodded and followed him. Like the obedient vessel they had turned you into.
"I know" he replies, sickening mirth in his soft whisper.
3:05 am
The hotel room smells of cigarettes and cheap liquor. Somehow it feels right.
This isn't the first time and it's far from the last. Regardless you can't understand why your heart ache like the end of times is approaching.
Childe's blue eyes are the first thing you see when you wake up from your alcohol-induced coma. It's funny how he looks so much like your previous lover. It's funny how he looks so different. Maybe all boys are the same, maybe boys with soft blue eyes and tongues full of lies always find their way to you.
1:54 pm
There's blood on his hands again.
There's blood on your hands again.
But this time it feels like the first time you see Ajax, -really see him- for all his fractured bones and bleeding heart. You see the weight he carries on his shoulders the burden of expectation that goes unnoticed by all.
You're assassins, you're paid to get the job done. Hired with high expectations and everything you love on the line. You sleep with guns under your pillows and knives strapped to your chest.
If he fails he loses his family. Mother, father, siblings. He has people he cares for, people he needs to keep safe.
You've already failed, but you're sure the Tsaritsa already knows what you hold dear even if you don't yourself. She won't hesitate to crush it. You just wish you knew what 'it' was.
People say you fall in love with someone whose demons play well with yours. Maybe you're in love with him. Maybe he's in love with you.
3:44 am
Maybe the two of you are both destined for misery. It's the only conclusion Childe can draw as he closes the distance between the two of you. Your lips feel warm, a side effect of the alcohol coursing through your veins no doubt.
"I love you" he mutters and it feels like a death threat. Like a knife pointed at your throat.
"I love you" you reply, it feels like a confession for all your sins.
A part of him wants to kill you, to preserve you. But you are just his partner and assassins aren't meant to get attached. Still, he longs for you. Yearning for the day when neither of you are bound by duty and past regrets.
2:00 pm
Childe offers you a cup of sake. You chug down the bottle. It's potent and burns its way down. It's divine punishment you think, although you're sure that Inazuma's archon has long since stopped caring for her people.
Childe pulls out two bottles of Vodka, souvenirs from your home, reminders of your duty.
You guzzle down the clear liquid while Childe takes slow sips, he's relishing in your agony you think. That's fine, he can take it as a token of your ill-placed romance.
You remember the pleasantries of your old life. You remember being someone important. Now you are only second to your new archon. You control the lives of all others. Yet in the end, it's not you who decides who lives or dies.
4:00 am
"If I ever long to kill you, will you be willing to die?" Ajax's blades are at your throat, cool water splashing against your skin. This is heaven you think, this is love. His legs cage you under him and for a second you mistake him for an archon.
"Of course, I love you too much to deny you such pleasures" It's the truth you think, albeit it doesn't matter. Who can stop the bloodthirsty Tartaglia when he's set his sights on his newest victim?
Ajax kisses you and you kiss back.
You've long since shed the old you, the finance of someone important and revered.
You much prefer your role as a servant to Snezhnaya.

Found Family(Platonic Genshin + Child!Reader)
Request!!: Ok get this— platonic fluff, how certain characters react to meeting child reader for the first time- i just want that tooth rotting, coma inducing, sweet fluff. Whether its both as kids, or idk they’re adopting you as a kid or you’re their new sibling la k e please i need this— anyway imagine like kaeya, diluc, razor, Xiao, Aether——ok anyway toodle loo
Warnings: None that I can think of??
Characters: Aether, Diluc, Jean(feat. Barbara), Kaeya, Razor, Xiao
Notes: I went ahead and added Jean and Barbara in the mix because I love Jean, I hope that’s okay!
Aether
Aether was no stranger to kids.
He’d helped care for many in the other worlds he’d visited with Lumine, but you still came to him as a surprise.
He’d found you in Mondstadt, scared and alone in the streets, and the first thing he did was take you to the Knights of Favonius headquarters to search for your parents.
Unfortunately, nothing had come up within two weeks, and by that time, you had gotten attached.
Aether took it in stride, welcoming you like a big brother would, with a smile and open arms. He often times takes you traveling and will leave you with trusted individuals if a particular commission is too dangerous.
It’s late by the time Aether returns to the Wangshu Inn. Verr Goldet greets him with a warm smile, handing him the key he’d left with her to make sure you were being cared for while he was gone.
“How were they?”
“Well-behaved, as always,” Verr Goldet responds, laughing softly to herself. “They might still be awake, though. They insisted on staying up to welcome you home.”
Aether’s heart swells hearing that, and his eyes burn with unshed tears, though he doesn’t let them fall. Instead, he thanks Verr Goldet and quickly makes his way up the stairs and to the room that you’d be sharing for the night.
As she had said, there you were, sitting up in the bed in your pajamas, squinting sleepily at the door as it creaked open. “Welcome back,” you mutter, trying (and failing) to stifle a yawn.
“[Name], you should be asleep by now,” Aether gently scolds, walking toward the bed after he removes his boots. He scoops you into his arms as he settles down on the bed, caging you in a warm hug.
“I wanted to make sure you came back safely,” you respond, your voice growing quieter as the added warmth draws you further into dreamland.
God, Aether almost died after hearing you say that.
He vows to protect you with his life, holding you close as you fall asleep.
Your family may have had a strange start, but you two wouldn’t have it any other way.
Diluc
You were, by no means, a surprise.
Diluc had planned meticulously for your arrival after receiving word from the Knights of Favonius that they had recovered a child from a village that had been ransacked by the Abyss.
You were quiet for the first few days, slightly unnerved by the new surroundings and the sheer amount of people (Diluc and the staff) doting on you, but eventually you warmed up to everyone.
Eventually, you took to following Diluc around the vineyards surrounding the manor, and even “patrolling” it on your own to make sure there were no grape thieves.
It didn’t bother you when Diluc had to leave for long periods of time either.
You knew about his work as the “Darknight Hero”, though you had sworn you wouldn’t tell a single soul about it.
Adelinde was the one in charge of your care while Diluc was away, making sure you were well-fed and keeping up with your studies.
Diluc made sure to spend as much time as he could with you, remembering just how happy it made him that Crepus would play with him.
“[Name],” Diluc calls into the manner, shrugging his coat onto his shoulders. “Are you ready?”
“Almost!” comes the response, followed by the overhead thumping of your footsteps as you all but flew down the stairs. You grabbed your backpack, one that Albedo had kindly made for you, skidding to a stop at Diluc’s feet with a wide grin on your face.
Amused by your enthusiasm, Diluc snorts and reaches down to ruffle your hair. “Good,” he hums. “We wouldn’t want to be late to see everyone, now would we?”
His heart lifts at the way your face brightened further and you start excitedly rambling about getting to see Kaeya again. He takes your hand in his, and together, you begin the trek to the city.
Jean(feat. Barbara)
Barbara was the one who brought you to her.
You had just been deposited on the doorstep of the church with no clue as to who your family was or how you got there, so at a loss, Barbara brought you to her big sister for help.
A search was conducted, but unfortunately the results came up empty.
After learning such news, Jean decided that she would be the one to take care of you.
It was rocky at first, after all it had been years since Barbara had been a small child, but she eventually got the hang of it again.
The other Knights see you as a godsend, because ever since Jean took you in, she’s been taking more breaks instead of being cooped up behind her desk all the time.
You were quite the little troublemaker, and often got hurt while tripping over your own feet or simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Barbara was exasperated by the fact, as was Jean, but they knew that you were just a kid, and scrapes were bound to happen now and again.
“Miss Barbara! Look what I found!”
Barbara lifts her head as you come bounding through the cathedral, a bundle of white flowers clutched tightly in your little hands.
“Oh? What is it, [Name]?”
She crouches down to get a better look. Cecilias.
“Flora gave them to me!” you exclaim proudly, eyes sparkling. “I thought you and Miss Jean would like them!”
Barbara’s smile widens at the thought. “Thank you so much,” she praises, placing a hand on your head. “Why don’t we go and give them to Jean now?”
You nod enthusiastically, and Barbara scoops you up into her arms, carrying you off to surprise your big sister.
Kaeya
Kaeya was the one to find you on the way to the Angel’s Share to have a drink with Rosaria.
You were new to the city, at least, that’s what Kaeya had assumed, considering he had never seen you before.
He had tried to ask you if you knew where your family was, to which you shook your head.
You had just moved to the city, and had gotten separated from your parents while you had been exploring.
Kaeya made it his personal mission to reunite you with your family, and luckily, that was done quickly.
Your parents were relieved that you’d been found and were safe, and thanked Kaeya profusely.
They quickly came to trust him, and were much more comfortable with letting you run around the city on your own if they knew he was patrolling.
You’re hiding around here somewhere. Kaeya knows that for a fact. You had a strange fixation with hiding from the Cavalry Captain so he could find you and start the game all over again.
He didn’t mind it, you were like a younger sibling to him, and your parents trusted him a great deal with your safety. The way you followed him around and begged him to play with you reminded him of when he and Diluc had been children, and the time spent with you filled the emptiness their bond had once filled.
Well, speak of the devil.
As Kaeya is lost in thought, a small weight slams into one of his legs, little arms wrapping around it as the Cavalry Captain stumbled with a good-natured laugh. “Well, hello to you too, [Name],” he greets you with a smile, his hand coming to land on your head.
You say nothing, only tipping your head back to beam up at him. The backpack on your shoulders tells him that school has just ended, and you had decided to seek him out before heading home.
“Tell me how your day was,” Kaeya says, taking your hand. “And I’ll make sure you get home safely.”
Razor
Razor had no clue what to do with you when he found you.
A small child wandering around Wolvendom? Didn’t you realize how dangerous that was, especially since you didn’t have a vision?
He tried his best to ask you questions and figure out where you came from, but he wasn’t getting anywhere on his own, so he ended up seeking out Bennett for help.
When he learned that you had no family to speak of, Razor decided right then and there that you would be part of his Lupical.
He set about teaching you how to hunt in the woods, and how to communicate with the wolves, though the latter took more time for you to master than he would have liked.
Nonetheless, you showed extreme promise as a hunter with your quick thinking and your sharp reflexes.
The wolves took to you very quickly as well, though Andrius was more apprehensive when Razor tried explaining the situation to him.
Eventually you were properly accepted into the pack, and Razor deigned you his younger sibling.
“Razor!”
The wolf boy turns, eyes lighting up when you come bounding through the trees.
“[Name]!”
He catches you in a hug when you throw yourself into his arms.
“How was the city?”
“Crowded,” you answer, beaming up at him. “I met with Lisa, though! She taught me how to read a bit more, and even gave me a book to bring back with me!” You turn, rummaging in your bag before pulling out the book in question.
It’s short, nothing more than a mere picture book, but the way your eyes gleam with pride is absolutely worth the accomplishment. “Proud of you,” Razor praises, and you seem to almost glow from the praise.
“After we eat, I could probably read to you and Lupical later,” you say excitedly, following your older brother as he begins to lead you back through the forest.
Razor only smiles. “Lupical would love that.”
Xiao
It was no secret that Xiao kept his distance from mortals.
He couldn’t risk them becoming affected by his karmic debt, but in the end, he can only avoid them until they start intentionally seeking him out.
Which, in some cases, was you.
You had been adopted by Verr Goldet and Huai’an, becoming a permanent resident of the inn where you were allowed to run amok and play to your heart’s content, so long as you stayed out of trouble.
The first time you’d run into Xiao was by complete accident.
You, in typical childlike curiosity, had snuck up to the balcony that you had been warned was completely off-limits, desperate to see the view from that high up.
And there he was, standing with his back turned to the doorway and arms crossed over his chest.
You greeted him politely, as you had seen Verr do when new guests arrived downstairs, and Xiao whirled around, staring at you with wide and bewildered eyes before disappearing in a flurry of black and green.
Huai’an found you soon after, scooping you up into his arms and bringing you back down the stairs, quietly scolding you for breaking the rules.
Curious, you asked your adoptive parents about the strange man standing on the balcony, and, unable to escape the situation, they told you the story of the Vigilant Yaksha.
Xiao knows you’re coming this time, senses on high alert for the child who he had come to learn was Verr Goldet’s child.
He’s thankful you hadn’t cried when he disappeared on you, not like the last child who had ventured up here. Startled the poor thing.
“You shouldn’t be up here,” he says, listening to your feet patter against the wooden balcony before coming to a stop behind him.
“I brought you something,” you say.
He already knows, he could smell the almond tofu all the way from the first floor.
Xiao turns to regard you carefully.
You smile. “I want to thank you for everything you’ve done for Liyue,” you say carefully. Verr Goldet must have helped you rehearse what you wanted to say. “I asked Smiley Yanxiao to make you your favorite.”
Xiao’s heart melts at the admission, though he would be quick to deny it. Instead, he mumbles a quiet thanks and takes the bowl from your outstretched hands.
Satisfied that your task is complete, you say goodbye to the adeptus and run for the stairs, tossing a promise that you’d be back tomorrow over your shoulder.
Xiao definitely isn’t looking forward to it. Not by a long shot.

The Hunter becomes the hunted
Yandere! Capitano x huntress(?) Reader
Uh… I don't know what I was going for with this (not accurate, so I have to kinda go and just make it since this thing's rotting in my brain since my economics exam along with a few other fanfic/fic blogs to write, this'll be the last one and I'll make a bit more original ones in-between (probably..?) took heavy liberties so uh, might delete this when Natlan comes out or something.
Tw: graphic stuff, trying to murder, implied sexual themes at the end. And uh yeah if I miss anything just comment so I'll fix it., IDK if I should put 18+ warning here so better be safe than sorry folks!
Also, y'all are crazy. 100+ notes, wish I could hug you guys. 😘
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Arte, that's what they call you. Sure, you're not as strong as the title given to you but there's no denying your prowess of such skill with the bow and arrow. Being the youngest in the family, it's easier to overlook your talents and place you on the sidelines.
You've enjoyed a quiet hunt by yourself. Your family knows of this and tries to encourage you to be stronger like your siblings… your parents, grandparents, well you get it.
Rumors started around when you saved your sister from being wed to someone she didn't love, and she lacked the courage to brandish her blade to defend herself. So of course you've donned your garb, mask and weapons to 'eliminate' the suitor in a duel for her hand. Her lover too is at the side ready to swap places with you so pretend they’re 'Arte', then it was your brother's turn…  followed by distant relatives, countless people tried to ask for your help in avoiding their inevitable marriage to mess up their courting competition to every eligible adult available and swap out with the person the client intends to marry at the last second. Everyone's happy with it, afterall who would question the winner?
Well, that would be the case, except. Everyone's having their own competition for your hand in marriage, not knowing that you were the one foiling other's initial plans. So imagine the shock on their faces when you tell them you'll fight for your own freedom and expect Arte to show up and sweep you off your feet. There were multiple rounds, and each battle you came out victorious. Half of the suitors had fled once they realized how much of a beast a spouse you'd be.
You had fallen in love with a hydro vision holder, a law enforcer from Fountaine. Not a person of war but a master of the quill. Their words could bend mountains and find the undeniable speck of truth.
With the finals closing in, your opponent turned out to be a gnarly man, his body riddled in battle scars. Toothless and bald even! It disgusts you to think of what he'll do to you if he wins.
The man favors raw strength, while you on the other hand are in need of swift and more tactical skills. And all it takes is to tire him out and strike where it hurts after numerous twists and turns and occasional cuts at his leg. Unknowing to the dark and cold eyes that are trained on your nimble body.
You have to thank Murata that she had given you strength and wisdom to overcome the brainless suitor. "If this is the kind of suitors that people expect me to marry, I might as well wed to myself!" Grinning as you came out nearly unscathed, victory is in your grasp!
"It would be rude to not include me, young miss." A person in armor announced his arrival. You are well aware of this person, if you are given a chance to give a description of the word abyss. It would surely be him by definition.
"Your timing is rather poor, sir knight. Unfortunately for you, I have won my own hand in marriage." You faced him, face determined to not be conquered by anyone.
" As long as there's still a suitor left, the competition for your hand is still available. Isn't that right?" It irked you that he's right, now that he's here your own victory is nulled.
"I am honored that one such as myself is considered someone of your status, however." Pointed your fletching at him. " It is unethical to participate in this time. Tomorrow dawn, sir knight."
And that was the first vow made, the last hurdle to challenge your fate. It was night, you were praying feverishly for every archon to help guide you in your journey as a last ditch in assurance. That man is not to be trifled with, who has the strength of probably more than ten. And you know this, you may only have a sliver of a chance to get out of this. But you swore to yourself that you will be unconquered and unrelenting as the howls of the fearsome storms that haunt the calm and still-ly days of yore.
At the same location, early dawn. The skies merely darken, fitting for a time of battle. In this location, you have prepared all obstacles to merely disable him and strike to end all of this charade. Legs furtively ran through nature in hopes to catch the black knight off guard. Arrows flew in all directions, in an effort to slow him down.
One mighty swing of his claymore to cut the futile attempt at harming him. You only cursed yourself at your lack of preparations. The rain's pitter patter turned heavy and made your clothes clung to your body.
The gallant man slowly closed in on you, seemingly to take a moment to savor what view he could. For a man with few words, it sickens you for feeling his eyes undressing you, yet it was hard to read his thoughts with his helmet on.
His claymore clashed against your steel bow, it doesn't feel like he's taking you seriously. More like toying with you that's for sure! The skirmish lasted for who knows how long. Heavy breaths from you and the sound of metal on metal can be heard for miles. He's enjoying it, every second of it.
A flash of light had taken you in a daze with how bright it was and he managed to scratch your eye. The searing pain caused you to scream, writhing in pain, thunder howls along with you. It was the first time you had been injured during the 'hunt'. Blood seeps out of its fleshy prison and down to your cheek, staining the ground.
You snarled at him as you disregard the weapons on hand, a flash of light signaled for the clap of thunder. Feeling the electricity coursing through you, and threw your fist at his helm as vengeance. Causing him to collapse to the ground from the shocking experience.
Time felt like it stood still. No movement was made, you won. You finally won, laughing freely at your new found freedom. Facing away from the stunned man and at the skies thanking them, the archons. Especially Murata, your beloved pyro archon and the Electro archon for their assistance in your road to freedom. Head got lighter from the blood loss, but you didn't care for that anymore. Standing a few feet away from him, relishing this greatest victory for you. At your feet is the electro vision, a prize that would forever change you.
Indeed, it is. The long, black haired man grabs your leg, forcing you to the ground clawing the earth as it leaves trails of resistance. He forced you to look at him, back against the cold ground, your hands pinned above your head.  "You.. lost!" Anger seethed through your teeth.
He's so titanous compared to you. " That's what you wanted, but only a child could win so prematurely." He taunted with his baritone voice, laughing at your silly notion of winning.
" You sly bastard, unhand me!" You yelled, trying to wiggle your way out under him, his leg preventing you from moving. It only excites him, gaining a soft chuckle from the one topping you.
"You're quite adorable like this." With his free hand, ignoring the blood he smeared, caressing your cheek so lovingly, as if he had been dreaming of this moment long ago. "I finally have you within my reach…" he was saying something but with the amount of blood having spilled from your eye similarly to a tear continuously falling. A weak, pitiful cry left your lips as you kept thrashing under him. The pulsating pain filled your head, lulling you to sleep, loud ringing in your ear and as the world blurs into one all you saw is him, your soon to be husband.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Capitano had been obsessing on you since his first witness to a 'contest' from one of your recent clients. He had an agent gather information about you to at first recruit you for your finesse. Next thing he knew, he's falling for you. You don't know how delighted he is when he finds out a contest is being held for your hand. He nearly had everything planned out. Well almost perfectly…
Once pristine face, now scarred by him. A mark that no doubt you’ll wear proudly on of these days. No one had the guts to help you, even when you aided them when they needed it. So here you are after the ceremony in your cold, dreary, shared chamber with your monstrous husband. Not many people attended the wedding, or perhaps they were warned to stay away from you.
Your older brother tried to take you back. But was given seven scars, one scar for each time he tried to get you back by your menacing fiancé for going against the rules. None would want to summon the ire of the harbinger of the cryo archon so they left you be, knowing how strong you are.
"My dear dove." He called out, slowly getting closer. When he's leaning in, merely a shy away. Holding tightly on to the ceremonial dagger tucked between the folds of the garb. Obliging him in a kiss, his tongue forcefully went past your lips abusing and possibly bruising your small mouth. His hand caught yours that was about to strike him at the back. Deepening his kiss until your back touches the king size mattress.
Capitano pulls away, after leaving you breathless, "It should be the other way around, are you that eager?" He teased, taking in the moment before enjoying you on your first night together.

Concept Card
To those in the Seduce Me Community who are uninspired here are some concept ideas that you can chew on.
Overarching Theme: What made you fall in love with your love interest in the first place? Can you put them in a situation where that attribute shines through in a different scenario?
Concept A “Comfort Collaboration” Main Theme: Break the dependency 1. People like comfort characters. 2. Yet, they do not ask themselves “How can I make my partner more comfortable with me”? 3. Possible MC motive: Person who like comfort, but disregards their own boundaries to help others. Or they lack confidence to comfort another. 4. Possible resolution: the brothers or LI help MC to realize she is not as shy as she once was around them.
Concept B “Hold Down The Table” Main Theme: When Dungeons & Dragons gets weird or when players fail successfully? 1. MC, the dungeon master, gathers the brothers to test a new story on the boys. 2. MC wants to see their reactions, but also to make note of possible routes other players may choose in the story. 3. Comedy/surprising twist: Damien often rolls to seduce the most. 4. Whenever Sam attempts to flip the table the other brothers have to hold it down. “It's just a game bro! It's not that serious”. (+5 emotional damage, -3 hp) jk.
Concept C “Language Soup” Main Theme: Knowing or Lack of knowing multiple languages as a mixed raced kid. 1. MC is a mixed raced kid. 2. Often people used to tell them “You should be able to speak [insert language here]". 3. The MC knows how to a small degree. 4. Or sometimes MC forgets the correct phrase or word when stressed so they refuse to speak. Or instead of going silent they swap in another word from another language they know. Example: "Usted es kawaii" 5. The brothers are interested in learning how many languages the MC knows. 6. MC and the boys journey to building confidence in speaking the other languages. 7. Soon it becomes a week day or a weekend challenge to see who can hold the longest conversation in a certain language.
Concept D “Birthday Windows” Main Theme: Is leaving home all for love worth it? 1. Takes place after SM2 in Sam's route. 2. MC never thought she would never see her friends again. 3. Although, she is far from them and they probably forgot her by now. She can still find similar things in the Plains that remind her of home. 4. Sam surprises her with a stone/crystal slab that works like a video call! It helps her get in contact with her friends or Sam's siblings. 5. Before she uses it Sam could explain the basics of how it works. Or He can "call" Matthew up to explain it. The slab can create illusions so Mika or the background looks "human". 6. Of course! This means Mika has to lie about where she is and how she is getting "wifi". But hey! Friends! 7. Mika cannot use the slab often since it requires tons of Sam's magic to do so. 8. It was Matthew who created the idea of this method. Erik who executed the original spell. James designed the "device" and instructions to send to Mika's friends. Damien was the one to deliver said "device" saying it was a sample product Mika wanted them to be the first testers. 9. *Keep in mind dog tags reached the Abyssal Plains and Diana knows the laws of the worlds. Why? Demons know a little about human culture and trinkets.
Concept E "The Boat Is Sinking!" Main Theme: In the game "The Boat Is Sinking" players who fail to group loose (sink). 1. MC gets stuck in an old elevator alone when visiting Thr Anderson Toys Company. 2. The elevator soon drops. MC gets nervous, faints, then hits her head. 3. Mika's starts dreaming (plot hole?) 4. She gets whisked away onto a pirate ship! 5. Here she meets Captain James, Quartermaster (Second Captain) Erik, Boatswain Sam, Pilot (Navigator) Matthew, and Master Gunner Damien. 6. MC also finds out that she is a captured mermaid they kept in a tank to make a deal. 7. Apparently before she passed out she told them she could make them happy. 8. The brothers are seeking a way out from their engagement with a foreign princess. 9. How can MC help all 5 of the brothers out of the engagement. What can a mermaid not related to mermaid royalty do? Maybe some animal friends can help? Or maybe the fact her grandfather was a shapeshifting mage?
If you use any of these concepts here, AO3, fan fiction, or whatever else please tag me or comment. I would like to see them in a story at some point.

No one asked me, but here's why Childe Ajax Tartaglia probably isn't 34
To preface this, no, I have not read the 4.2 story leaks, I have no plans to, and frankly, I don't care what they say as they do not change the following math. It could literally say point-blank that Childe is 34, and I would not agree with it.
I'm just here cause I found the 14+20 argument illogical. (14 being the age he fell into the abyss and 20 being the number of years ago that the disappearances started in Fontaine)
And a fair warning, I am bad at reading what my tone is unless it is blatant. If any of this sounds hostile, it was not my intent, and I am likely unaware that it reads as such. This is just how I write when I am trying to be as clear and understandable as possible.
So, why is it unlikely that Childe is 34? It's because of his mother and his number of siblings.
Childe has 3 named younger siblings and an unknown number of older siblings. 2 being the bare minimum and at least 3 being the more probable based on the original Chinese. And, because Chinese is not something I know how to translate correctly beyond a basic level, here's the copy/paste directly from the wiki explaining why Childe most likely has at least 3 older siblings.
As noted above, the Chinese version of "Tartaglia's Letters to Home" mentions 哥哥姐姐们 "older brother(s) and sister(s)," suggesting he has at least one of each. In "Character Story 5", he is called the 三子 "third son," which suggests that he has two older brothers and an unknown number of older sisters. Alternatively, the term 三子 "third son" could be ambiguous and indicate that he is the third child with two older siblings of unspecified gender. Combined with the clue from his letter to home, this would suggest he has one older brother and one older sister, but this possibility is less likely given the interpretation of the original Chinese. His phrasing of 哥哥姐姐们, with the plural marker 们, would be an unlikely way to refer to a single older brother and a single older sister; it instead suggests he has more than one of either older brothers or older sisters (or both). If he only had one of each, he most likely would have simply written 哥哥姐姐 without the plural marker. Therefore, the most likely possibility is still that he has two older brothers and at least one older sister.
Now, time for the math featuring hypothetical ages for Childe's siblings and mother. To be generous, I will be using ages at the extreme ends of the possible ranges, favoring the ends that make it more possible for Childe to be 34, saying that he has exactly 3 older siblings, that none of them were twins, and while also taking into consideration their mother's health and wellbeing.
First, we have to determine how old those 3 older siblings are. I will be giving each a 2.5ish-year age gap, as it is suggested that someone wait 18-24 months before becoming pregnant again. So for our hypothetical math, I'll say the oldest sibling is 40.
For their mother, I'll be going with 18 as the age she had her first child. (This is as low as I am willing to go; personally, I think this number should be at least 20, if not higher.)
So, for her to have a 40-year-old child, she currently would be 58.
But we're not done; we have the 3 younger siblings to add. To simplify things, I will only focus on Tuecer since he is the youngest, so his age is the only one that matters. The general consensus (that I also agree with) is that Tuecer is somewhere between the ages of 8-12; I will be using 12.
At 58, their mother then would have been 46 when she had Tuecer.
While this is not impossible, at this age, their mother is 6 years into the potential range of beginning menopause and has an extremely low rate of 3-4% at most of successfully becoming pregnant.
This is incredibly low and is the youngest their mother could be if we set Childe's age to 34 without endangering her health.
Their mother's age if Childe is 10 years younger? 48, setting her at 36 when she would have hypothetically had Tuecer and outside of the potential onset of menopause and that 3-4% rate of pregnancy occurring.
So, statistically speaking, it is incredibly unlikely that Childe is 34; thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

my goal this week/weekend is going to be to bomb every fanfic i like with comments/notes and im going to irritate some people by probably spamming their stuff and i've noticed people i guess hate that (dont know why, maybe im just an undiagnosed narc at heart coz i love it) but
Tumblr media
i dont have insurance rn and withdrawal off multiple medications simultaneously is the worst sickness i have experienced since covid let me tell you, HAH (also yes ilu and miss u doc xoxoxo c u in september when im batshit insane again)
ive been in fandom spaces since 2000 as an infant with no business on the internet but taking advantage since i have elder siblings who had much business being on the internet being elder millennials/xers so they absolutely monitored me (no they didnt) and i used to be highly involved and then for some reason??
i stopped??
and i guess thats just parenthood and it worked in the opposite way for me where instead of not going out and eating xanax with my buddies i stopped reading fanfic and eating xanax with my role playing buddies five oceans away.
also insert toxic relationships or whatever somewhere sprinkled in between and or whatever. i'm rambling.
anyhoots.
i guess as i've gotten back into writing again, and as ive gotten into journaling (thank you other tumblr users who inspired me to write my mind down when my doctor couldn't <3) i realized im kind of floating in an abyss of my own turmoil and misery and all those other synonyms of it again without realizing it, and maybe it'll be nice to pretend to know people, and by extension it'll feel good to do some outreach and put a little sprinkle of affection in strangers boxes. because everyone can use a little love and kindness. it feels nice. and i'd like to feel nice, so by proxy.
something something, not sure where this is going.
just be nice to people i guess. you don't have to be, but you should. because it'd be nice if people were nice to you, wouldn't it?
idk. i'd like my meds back. i can't believe i lived like this for 30+ years.

…Screw it, I can’t write fanfics for the life of me so I’m just gonna make a Tumblr post.
*Ahem*
So, I decided to go ahead and ask the boldest of questions, ladies germs and nonbinary terms.
What if the Ashen Wolves got their own Route in FE3H?
Inevitable Random Asker Who Feels the Need to Remain Anonymous: “But what about Cindered-?”
Cindered Shadows is dubiously canon at best and explicitly a SIDE STORY.
Buuut, I’m still gonna use Cindered Shadows Storyline as the means for the Wolves to meet Byleth.
So Byleth doesn’t meet the Wolves until after he gets the Sword of the Creator, meaning that we’ll be starting off this story during the Verdant Rain Moon, rather than at the beginning of the year.
Which, of course, means that Byleth is going to have to be the professor to one of the other three houses and the Wolves Simply join his house after the events of Cindered Shadows.
The question now is, which house?
Black Eagles obviously.
This Ashen Wolves Route will be a third offshoot of the Black Eagles Route.
Except when the events of Chapter 11 roll around, and Byleth is forced to choose between the Empire and the Church, he chooses neither, stating that he, “Refuses to work with a madwoman who is willing to let innocents suffer for the sake of their ambitions.”
He also decides to snap the Sword of the Creator in half, just to prove a point, so his special weapon in this Route is instead the Knight-Captain’s Sword, Byleth’s signature weapon in 3 Hopes.
He then leaves for Abyss alongside the Wolves, but not before telling all his students that they should return to his homes, not wanting to drag them into his decision, and most of them do comply save for Alois, who’s last promise to Jeralt was to protect Byleth no matter what, and three specific students who share histories with the Ashen Wolves’ members.
Oh, and before I forget, I decided to add one extra dose of flavor, by giving the Ashen Wolves 4 extra members in order to make them a full house. But since I figured most people wouldn’t find OCs particularly interesting, I decided to take an alternate route.
I reincarnated four special characters into the world of Fodlán, intertwined their stories with those of the Wolves, and laid the ground work for FE3H Fifth and Final Route, Violet Sun.

6, 8, 10, 12, 16, and 23. SALT FOR SALT, UNLEASH THE BEAST.
YES. YES. THE BEAST IS OUT!
6. Which ship fans are the most annoying?
Overall, I pray every night that I will never again be placed within the vicinity of more shippers who are anything like Starco shippers. Skin me with a cheese grater over that.
But that's not especially topical for me at the moment (and anyway, I've barely touched the Star vs. fandom since its finale, so for all I know they've calmed down since then). So in terms of a group I've encountered more recently that's gotten my nerves:
Lunter shippers.
I've been dipping my toe into the "toh critical" tag lately, for my own mental health. It's been a very cathartic experience for the most part, save for the slew of anti-Huntlow sentiments. Most of the people I've noticed decrying Huntlow are Lunter shippers. Which, I'm sorry, puts a massively different spin on any arguments they may try to dredge up against it.
Which listen. I fully acknowledge that Lunter is, thematically speaking, 100% the superior ship. And I don't just mean that when compared to Huntlow, it eclipses Lumity by a green mile. Like - yes Lumity is a massively important milestone, culturally speaking, yes it's very cute, no I'm not trying to lobby that the show would have been better without it or whatever, but I'm sorry these are the facts. Luz and Hunter had better chemistry as enemies than Luz and Amity did, and once they were on the same side they confided in each other more than Luz and Amity did. The payoff of them getting together at the end of the series would have been better than the Lumity payoff we got. ("They're siblings-!" fanon likes to interpret them as siblings; they don't share blood so this argument holds no water.)
All of this is course coming from a purely objective standpoint, you understand, because I'm very firmly Team Huntlow. Which, getting back to the point at hand, Lunter shippers apparently are aggressively against. I'm not saying they don't have valid points to their arguments (because lord knows this show turned into an incomprehensible mess by the end), but I resent that they frame those arguments as objective when they're obviously grasping at whatever they can to justify why their ship is superior. (On this note, I don't think it's a coincidence that most of the anti-Lumity sentiments I saw in the critical tag were also primarily from Lunter shippers.)
8. Common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about
(Hollow Knight!)
The amount of people I see out here acting like it's even feasible that the Pale King went through all his offspring, one by one, and then chucked them into the Abyss when he deemed them "failures" is staggering. It is honestly the stupidest fucking take I've ever seen. That pit is filled with husks. There's thousands if not hundreds of thousands of them. How much time do you think this motherfucker had?
Also, he's a gotdamned bug. Who was married to someone who had to chain herself up to prevent her urge to breed. How has no one come to the conclusion that he placed their eggs in the Abyss to imbue them with Void, and then Hollow was chosen to be the vessel for the Radiance because they're the only one (seemingly) who managed to fight their way back out? That getting out was the first test they had to pass to prove their worth?
(This shit-opinion is so prevalent that it was stolen for another piece of media, and it makes just as much if not less sense there.)
10. Worst part of fanon
(Rise!)
Donnie is fucking everywhere and is used for moments that would better suit/make more sense for his brothers.
12. The unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them
Considering the prevailing attitude in most of the fandom spaces I've fallen into in the last five years seems to be "if they've done something bad then they're horrible characters and don't deserve any time in fanworks unless they're getting dunked on/being a complete piece of shit!" I'd say most if not all of my faves fit for this? Soo lightning round!
Emperor skekSo: Is he one of the worst of the skeks, if not THE worst? Yes (which is a con for you people, for some reason). Does he also have some of the most humanizing motivations out of all of them, is actually very effective at redirecting the group as a whole towards a mutual goal, and unarguably has the best design? Also yes.
Pale King: First of all, what the fuck would any of you have done in his position when faced with an entity that wanted her subjects to be eternally, blindly obedient, and who then wanted revenge when you took that away from her? Even though he made untold amounts of mistakes and less than stellar decisions in his efforts to protect his kingdom, his intentions were good. Tragic, morally-grey, haunting-the-narrative characters are wonderful, actually.
Krangs 1, 2, and 3: They get absolutely no love in fanworks, but they should. They're collectively badass, their personalities and entire dynamic with each other is really entertaining and interesting, if you give it even the barest amount of effort, and the implications of what we can infer of Krang culture from them is wildly fascinating.
Philip Wittebane: Honestly at this point I think everyone should like him just because the irony of the fandom-puritans constantly shitting on him (an actual Puritan) for essentially fulfilling his role as an antagonist has long worn thin, and I'd like to make them uncomfortable.
KIKIMORA: KIKI IS FANTASTIC ALRIGHT?? She's a funny little guy, she's ruthless, she's got an abusive family (or at least mother based on the snippet we got), she'd sell you to Satan for one cornchip, she has one of the best designs in the whole show-
(Also she's proof that people are shallow as all fuck, because if she was conventionally attractive/more human-looking, she'd be a fan-favorite and have people writing essays to defend her. That's how Lilith got away with everything.)
16. You can’t understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)
(Cult of the Lamb!)
Having Narinder need to apologize to the other characters. He's the only character I see people taking the stance with. Which is especially egregious when it involves the other Bishops. It's usually something to the tune of him needing to make up for the injuries he cased them.
I'm sorry, how did the entire fandom manage to leapfrog over the fact that he only injured them because they were actively trying to imprison him?? I'd be cat-scratching at people too, no pun intended. If people are apologizing I don't think the cat should be the one made to head the line.
Also, in regards to the Bishops, I never see art/fic of the Lamb being salty towards them when they join their cult, but I see loads of art/fic of Lamb being a sadistic fucking bully to Nar over their whole debacle. And it's presented as either just a silly joke or totally justified and what Nar deserves. Fuck y'all.
23. Ship you’ve unwillingly come around to
(Rise!)
I didn't plan on falling head-over-heels for Leuno. I even resisted a little once I first felt it pulling me down. Didn't last. Look how that turned out.
Also John/Rhi, but only by virtue on not wanting to like John at first

So I just started Genshin Impact cause of your blog. I'm a bit confused by some of the lore. Wanna lore dump about Genshin???
ok im going to extensively spoiler-mark this so do NOT go past parts you haven't played through yet. the lore of genshin is arranged so that most of it you learn slowly through story quests. if you want to experience it as intended, don't read past quests you haven't played through yet! Also i genuinely tried to keep this as brief and barebones as physically possible but the google doc i wrote it in is seven pages long. So. brace yourself.
NOTE. for the purposes of this explanation, the sibling you choose in the opening cutscene will be referred to as "playable sibling/PS" and the sibling who disappears as a result of that choice as "abyss sibling/AS." keep this in mind
SO. opening of the game. playable and abyss are introduced to us as twin travelers who came from "beyond the stars," meaning they did not originate from teyvat (the world which genshin takes place in). they somehow enter teyvat, and as they are about to leave and move on to the "next world" (whatever that may mean) they are stopped by an unknown figure that calls themself "the sustainer of heavenly principles." (for simplicity, heavenly principles/HP) this figure blocks their exit from teyvat, captures AS and sends PS crashing down to earth. In the next scene we see, PS tells paimon (who they have supposedly recently fished out of a lake???) that HP cast them down to the surface of teyvat and they haven't seen their sibling since. their ultimate goal as stated at this point is to find their sibling and leave teyvat together.
PS begins their journey through teyvat in mondstadt. Paimon explains to them that teyvat is made up of seven nations, each with a different god, called an archon, governing the nation. Each god has a specific guiding principle and an element associated with them, for a total of 7 elements and archons for 7 nations. (these 7 elements also make up the combat system of the game, which i will not go into bc i dont hate myself.) there are also people in these nations who have been granted “visions” by the archons, which are physical objects that allow them to control a specific element. For whatever reason, PS discovers that by “resonating” with the different statues of mondstadt’s archons in the different nations, they can also control these elements despite not having a vision.
Anyways,  Mondstadt's archon is called barbatos, and his element is anemo (wind.) the governing principle of barbatos, and by extension mondstadt, is freedom. Paimon suggests that PS should attempt to find barbatos, and eventually the gods of the other 6 nations, because they believe the HP to be a god and therefore think that other gods will likely have information on them.
SPOILERS: MONDSTADT ARCHON QUEST
PS and paimon travel to mondstadt. I’m actually going to skip a lot of the mondstadt story quest because it’s long as hell and most of it doesn’t have any impact on the larger lore, but I will go over the key points you need to know. PS and paimon meet the governing party of the nation: the knights of favonius. The current leader of the knights is acting grandmaster Jeanvgunnhildr, but she is only ACTING grandmaster. The official grandmaster, Varka, left shortly before PS came to mondstadt and took almost half of the knights with him, on an expedition which has yet to be explained in-game. For whatever reason, though, mondstadt's government is currently operating at essentially half capacity. PS meets several other knights besides jean, including cavalry captain Kaeya, who i mention here because he will be relevant later. they also learn that mondstadt is dealing with multiple diplomatic/military crises at once. there have been a series of attacks by the "east wind" dragon stormterror (true name dvalin.) At the same time, the knights and church of favonius are enduring diplomatic pressure from a group of people from the nation sznezhnaya, which is a far-northern nation governed by the archon of cryo (ice.) they are attempting to use the stormterror crisis to seize power from the knights, and generally making life very difficult for poor jean. on top of this, the archon barbatos has not been seen for several hundred years, which isn't uncommon for him, but is not exactly helping with all the shit mondstadt is going through right now.
PS defeats dvalin once (with the help of barbatos, unbeknownst to them at the time), earning them the title “honorary knight of favonius.” They meet barbatos, who has taken on the form of a young bard named venti so that he can get drunk and ignore the glaring problems with his nation. Venti explains to PS that dvalin is actually a good wind spirit, but he has been corrupted by an organized force of inhuman monsters known as the "abyss order," who were hoping to turn him into a weapon for their own purposes. Venti has a plan to save both mondstadt and dvalin, requiring PS to do a bunch of dungeons and steal an ancient artifact, the holy lyre, from the church of favonius, briefly turning them into a wanted criminal in mondstadt. (this will be a recurring motif throughout this story.) Venti, PS, and a few of the other mondstadt playable characters use the holy lyre to summon dvalin, hoping to purify him, but the abyss order interferes and drives dvalin away. The party switches to plan B and goes directly to stormterror’s lair to confront, battle, and purify him directly. They succeed. When they get back to mondstadt, kaeya lets them know that he has learned that the abyss order is unified under one leader. The end of the quest reveals to the player (but not PS) that that leader is PS’s missing sibling, AS, hence why i called them “abyss sibling.”
In the final moments of the quest, venti and PS return the lyre to mondstadt’s cathedral. On their way out, fatui agents ambush and restrain them. Here, we meet one of the eleven fatui harbingers, La Signora. She is one of the highest authorities of the fatui, just under the cryo archon. She physically rips venti’s “gnosis” out of him--a chess piece-shaped relic that is essentially the “heart” of an archon, (in the japanese dub it’s literally called a ‘god’s heart.’ why they called it a gnosis in english i have no idea.) and then knocks out PS and flees the scene, giving no indication of why she wanted the gnosis at all. This is the end of the mondstadt archon quest.
SPOILERS: LIYUE ARCHON QUEST
Onto liyue. Jesus christ. Im going to make this as brief as possible but this game’s plot is insanely complicated. Liyue is the geo (rock) nation, with the governing principle “contracts.” it’s governed half by humans and half by adepti, which are liyue’s minor gods. The huamn leader of liyue is named ningguang, and her crowning achievement is a floating castle called the jade chamber, which is supposedly representative of the achievement of liyue’s human government. The main internal conflict in liyue is between the governing forces of the adepti and humans.
So PS and paimon are going into liyue to try and get into contact with the geo archon rex lapis when he comes down to the surface of teyvat for a yearly ceremony. (if they miss it they’ll have to wait another year to see him.)
They get to liyue harbor, the main city in liyue, and witness the ceremony, but halfway through chaos ensues as rex lapis is shot and killed before the eyes of everyone watching the ceremony. Because PS isn’t from liyue, they’re suspected of being the killer and immediately become an outlaw in liyue. They are rescued from the guards trying to capture them by Childe, the second fatui harbinger we have the pleasure of meeting in this game. Childe’s defining character trait is that he is literally insane. Childe introduces PS to a funeral director named Zhongli, who is in charge of funeral arrangements for rex lapis. They help him out for a while, and then return to liyue harbor to find it in chaos. The human government and the adepti have finally had a direct confrontation, and childe has used the chaos to slip away and attempt to steal rex lapis’s gnosis from his corpse. PS and paimon follow him and battle him, only for both PS and childe to discover that the gnosis is not in the corpse of rex lapis. PS defeats childe, who then switches to plan B and revives an ancient god, osail, to destroy liyue entirely. The humans and adepti are forced to work together to fight osail, and ningguang eventually sacrifices the jade chamber to save liyue harbor, prompting the adepti to acknowledge her as a worthy leader of liyue. The adepti agree to retreat and allow the humans to self-govern from now on without divine interference.
Zhongli reveals himself to be rex lapis, which is why the gnosis wasn’t in the (fake) corpse childe tried to steal it from.he faked his death as a test to see if liyue could survive without him, and, satisfied with the outcome, he decides to retire as a god entirely and live as zhongli from now on. Everything PS fought for was bullshit anyway, though, because zhongli made a CONTRACT with the cryo archon and signed his goddamn gnosis away anyway. PS is still no closer to finding their sibling, who zhongli admits he knows about but is under contract not to say anything. I fucking hate contracts.
SPOILERS: WE WILL BE REUNITED/KAEYA STORY SEGMENTS
We will be reunited. The only quest in this entire goddamn game that has ever actually felt like payoff. In this quest we meet dainsleif, a strange man with ties to the abyss. He reveals to us that 500 years ago, teyvat suffered a horrible calamity after the destruction of a nation called khaenriah. Khaenriah, as explained by dain, was a nation which existed without the governance of an archon and flourished, making incredibly advanced technological discoveries. It was destroyed by the gods 500 years ago. The ruin machines that populate teyvat were supposedly built by khaenrians. PS begins to regain vague memories about khaenriah, but nothing concrete.  PS discovers an archon statue underground in liyue which has been chained up upside down, and dain explains that the abyss order are planning to use the inverted statue to make a weapon, but in order to power it they need the eye of the first ruin guard created by khaenrians, which currently resides in stormterror’s lair in mondstadt. (up until this quest activates, the ruin guard sits motionless in stormterror’s lair and can be interacted with, where the interact box refers to it as a “strange statue.” after this quest, it’s referred to as “the first field tiller” (field tiller being a term used by khaenrians to refer to the ruin guards.) they find the ruin guard and dainsleif takes its eye. PS and dain then return to the inverted statue, intending to destroy it, but are interrupted by a high-ranking member of the abyss order, an abyss herald, which battles PS until AS appears to stop the battle.
AS seems more surprised to see PS and dain together than anything else. AS reveals that dain was a member of khaenriah’s royal guard, and was cursed with immortality and forced to watch his people turn into monsters after it fell. PS begs AS to come with them, so they can go home together, but AS says they can’t because unless they fulfil their goal with the abyss order, their “war on destiny will not end.” AS says that they have already traveled teyvat, and that once PS finishes their journey they will understand AS’s actions. AS leaves through an abyss portal, and dain follows them. PS is left alone in the underground ruins with more questions than answers.
TLDR for what we know so far: 500 years ago, khaenriah was destroyed by the gods for some reason. (Dain implies that it was because the gods feared a human nation with no god to govern them, but some dialog from playable archons suggests this may not be entirely accurate.) The inhabitants of khaenriah were cursed to become monsters, and dain was cursed with immortality. Kaeya, the cavalry captain of the knights of favonius, is khaenrian and somehow either escaped this curse or managed to retain human form despite it, making him one of the sole survivors of khaenriah and suggesting that there may be more to the story than we already know. (that’s speculation so i won’t get too into it, but the kaeya thing is too important to exclude imo). PS and AS were both in khaenriah at some point prior to this catastrophe, but only AS remembers exactly what happened. AS has aligned themself with the abyss order after traveling teyvat fully themself, and are now working with the abyss to try to revive khaenriah. Meanwhile, the fatui and the cryo archon are collecting gnoses from other archons for some purpose that has yet to be revealed to us.
SPOILERS: INAZUMA ARCHON QUEST
Now we move to inazuma. Here, we are going to basically ignore the abyss order entirely bc they aren’t relevant and focus back in on the fatui. Rather than recount the whole archon quest from PS’s perspective i’m just going to tell you everything in chronological order this time bc it’s SO long and confusing otherwise. Fair warning i did not like this quest
Inazuma’s archon is named Ei. her governing principle is “eternity” (stupid ass principle) and her element is electro (electricity). Ei was not the original electro archon, however. The first electro archon was ei’s sister, makoto. Makoto was killed during the khaenriah cataclysm, and ei took on her role in her place.
Ei sucks at being an archon. She becomes obsessed with the idea of an unchanging eternal nation, and decided to remove herself from the equation entirely. To do this, she created a sentient puppet look-alike to rule in her place. There were two of these puppets, one of which ei threw out after she saw it cry, deciding it would be too soft to endure the pressures of ruling a nation. (we will come back to this puppet in sumeru. Dont worry.) the other puppet was her success story. The puppet, known as the raiden shogun, ruled inazuma militantly and with a complete lack of emotion, using only the guiding principles ei had instilled in her. Because of this, and because ei never bothered to check in or do any maintenance on the damn thing, the puppet became incredibly susceptible to manipulation by, you guessed it, the fucking fatui. The fatui talked the shogun into enstating a total ban on travel in and out of inazuma, as well as the “vision hunt decree” which meant that the inazuman government began seizing people’s visions.
Enter PS. they are pissed off and tired at this point. They just want to meet the goddamn archon and get out, but they, of course, end up starting a revolution in inazuma (that somehow has no actual lasting consequences btw. Help me.) Eventually they figure out that this whole thing was an elaborate plot by the fatui to destabilize inazuma, and that the raiden shogun is a puppet and not the actual archon. In order to get to the actual archon and force her to fix shit, they talk to yae miko, ei’s “oldest friend” (read: wife.) Miko tells them how to get into ei’s mind palace and snap her out of it. PS does this. Ei, after several real-life hours of bullshit dialog, agrees that she fucked up and shuts down the shogun and promises to fix everything.
Ei also does not know anything about PS’s sibling or the abyss order, and woah would you look at that!! MIKO FUCKING GAVE AWAY THE GNOSIS TO THE FATUI WITHOUT EVEN A GODDAMN DEAL. THANKS SO MUCH GUYS. WE ARE ZERO PERCENT CLOSER TO ANY ANSWERS WHATSOEVER.
God. at least that one was short.
SPOILERS: SUMERU ARCHON QUEST
Sumeru. Christ almighty. Im skipping the chasm because it doesn’t fucking matter. So we get to sumeru right. Sumeru has a bunch of really weird and vaguely racist lore that i will be skipping because it doesnt matter but. prepare yourself.
Sumeru’s archon is the dendro (plant) archon, and her governing principle is “wisdom.” HOWEVER, there are a bunch of weird godly politics going on here that are unfortunately integral to our understanding of the story. So basically, there used to be 2 gods in Sumeru: the dendro archon/the greater lord, and the scarlet king. The scarlet king was the ruler of the desert and the greater lord ruled the rainforest, but the scarlet king was killed, leaving only the greater lord to govern all of sumeru. The scarlet king’s people were largely not happy about this.
Fast forward to the khaenriah cataclysm. The greater lord is killed, but in her dying moments a new dendro archon is born: the lesser lord kusanali. Immediately, the lesser lord is swept away by the akademiya, which is the human governing power of sumeru. The akademiya resented the lesser lord and refused to acknowledge her as the new archon, instead keeping her sealed away and relying on what was left of the greater lord’s power instead. The akademiya slowly became corrupt as time went on and they didn’t have an archon to keep them in check.
Fast forward again to present day. PS comes to sumeru, immediately passes out and connects accidentally to the consciousnes of the greater lord. During this dream sequence, they hear the words “world… forget me” and see an image of a giant tree. They proceed to ignore this vision for the next quarter of the quest.
They get to sumeru city only to discover that the entire city is seemingly stuck in a time loop of the same day over and over again. with the help of lesser lord kusanali, who calls herself nahida and projects herself into the consciousnesses of others in order to communicate with them, PS discovers that the entire city is actually trapped in a dream, which the akademiya is using to harvest knowledge from the city in order to carry out their ultimate plan: creating a new god to replace lesser lord kusanali as the governing archon of sumeru.
They break out of the dream, but nahida is trapped by the akademiya and imprisoned in a deep sleep again. PS discovers that the akademiya has been working with yet another fatui harbinger: the doctor/il dottore, to carry out their plan. They plan to use the gnosis the fatui stole from inazuma to create their new god, and as for the being they plan to use to house it? They’re going to use Ei’s discarded prototype puppet, also known as the fatui harbinger scaramouche.
After being abandoned by ei, his mother, scaramouche became a directionless wanderer in inazuma. With no gnosis, he was essentially a being without a heart, always lacking something. He was hardened by several tragedies until he eventually rejected his past and decided the only way out was to fulfill his original purpose and become a god, with or without ei’s approval. He turned to the fatui to help him fulfil this wish, and sumeru’s akademiya, desperate for a new god to replace kusanali, were all too happy to help the fatui out. Il dottore and the akademiya supplied him with a gnosis and a godly body, and they nearly complete the process entirely, but they are thwarted by PS and nahida just before scaramouche loses his past self entirely and attains godhood. Nahida takes the gnosis from scaramouche.
After this battle, nahida and PS enter what remains of the consciousness of the greater lord one final time, hoping to understand the circumstances surrounding her death and nahida’s birth. They speak to the remains of the greater lord, who reveals that as the god of wisdom, her consciousness is connected to irminsul, the tree of life and the “collective consciousness” of teyvat. When the khaenriah cataclysm occurred, the tree was poisoned by “forbidden knowledge,” the greater lord claims (what this means is your guess as well as mine) and she had to basically kill herself in order to stop this forbidden knowledge from polluting all of teyvat. In creating nahida, she hoped to give sumeru a new archon to look to when she was gone, but because her memory, tainted by forbidden knowledge, still remained in the collective consciousness of teyvat, nahida could never be accepted as sumeru’s true archon. This was the meaning of the words “world, forget me” that PS hears early on in the quest: the greater lord wanted the world to forget her so that the tree of knowledge would no longer be poisoned by her tainted memory.
With this revelation, the greater lord disappears completely, removing all memory of herself from teyvat’s collective consciousness. Even nahida no longer remembers the greater lord’s existence. PS, however, still remembers the greater lord, supposedly because they aren’t from teyvat and therefore their memories aren’t governed by what is and isn’t inscribed in the tree of knowledge.
After all this, il dottore appears and knocks out PS and paimon so he can speak with nahida privately. Nahida offers to give him the electro gnosis in exchange for him killing the clones of himself he’s made (she reveals that she knows he has made hundreds of clones of himself. He immediately agrees to kill them in exchange for the gnosis, though, so this doesn’t really matter.) during this exchange, she also suggests that destroying the gnosis would “awaken the heavenly principles,” the first mention of HP in game since the opening cutscene. She does not elaborate about what HP is. as for HER gnosis, dottore offers her a bit of knowledge in exchange for it. The player doesn’t get to hear the knowledge itself, only dottore’s pitch: “Have you heard of the rumor that the sky in teyvat is fake?” (note: it should be mentioned that back in the 1.0 patch series there was a limited-time event in which scaramouche was briefly introduced for the first time, and this event also very briefly mentioned that teyvat’s sky might be fake. There are also a ton of references to stars controlling one’s fate in teyvat, and celestia, the realm of the gods, exists in the sky. anyways.) nahida gives away her gnosis in exchange for this information.
When PS wakes up, nahida becomes the first archon in the history of this game to give you useful information that you don’t already fucking have. She tells PS that because of her connection to the tree of knowledge, she has been able to learn a bit about them and their sibling.
PS is what is called a “descender,” meaning someone who came to teyvat from beyond the stars and did not originate there. They are not the first descender to teyvat, in fact there have been four others throughout history. The first of these descenders is the heavenly principles. AS is NOT a descender.
Descenders are known as such because, since they are not from teyvat, no information about them is recorded in the tree of knowledge. PS is not recorded in the tree, but AS is. AS’s record begins when they showed up in khaenriah, and parts of it are “fuzzy” as though they have been scrubbed out. From this, Nahida draws the conclusion that AS is from teyvat and PS isn’t, which PS is convinced is impossible because they traveled with their sibling together for years before coming to teyvat, so they’re sure AS didn’t originate there.
This is essentially where we are left as of the current patch. There’s a ton of branch-off lore and little connecting pieces i could go into but i typed this in a google doc and it was literally seven pages long and this is BARE BONES i swear there was nothing in here that i could leave out. So. i am not going to bother trying to get any more specific unless someone asks me to because jesus christ. Anyways thats the genshin story as succinctly as i could possibly put it thank you for coming to my ted talk

Memoria, sketch pages 1-16
(Radiant Arc 10, 3.35)
Note: Excerpts of previous comics appear in this part. Scenes redrawn for ‘Memoria’ are labelled with their chapter and part number. No part of the canon has been changed and the only alterations are visual improvements (for example, a lot of Ch1 looked very simplistic in comparison to Ch3). Enjoy!
-
Page 1
Honey- In The Abyss. The light shone down. Calling.
-
Page 2
Honey- The light led out. It led to our future.
Pale King- ‘You are the Vessel. You are the Hollow Knight.’
Honey- The light left us behind.
-
Page 3
Honey- In the dark. Without future. But not alone.
Alone.

Page 4
((Ch3.3))
Honey- And alone. The Vessel returned. Blessed by the light above.
((Ch3.19))
Honey- The Vessel was false. It had learned of mercy.
-
Page 5
Honey- Of love.
Argent- Bound.
Honey- Of regret.
It learned / to make mistakes. The future was broken.
-
Page 6
Honey- We had to find our own.
(Honey- Future.)
((Ch2.26))
Argent- The Palace should be here! Now there are only lumaflies. Meaningless lights… A door leading to nowhere… and a guard made from void.
-
Page 7
Argent- What happened here? How…? Can we make it up to you?
We weren’t good enough…
(Honey- to protect…)
Argent- …
Luma- (Tip Tap)
Argent- You think?
Luma- (Nod)
Argent- Let’s look, friend.
-
Page 8
(Honey- Our names / We became…)
Argent- The Vessel. The Hollow Knight.
-
Page 9
Argent- This statue… How many remember the one it commemorates? Did they have a name? In opening The Abyss they told us they knew they were imperfect. Do they believe they made the right choice? Did they have a choice?
Luma- …
((Ch3.13))
Argent- Sibling,
We’re here to say goodbye. The two of us are leaving the kingdom. Leaving Hallownest, and you. We can’t tell you that we’re sorry, of how we wish we could help. We have to do this. Up there, dreamless in chains, we hope you understand.
-
Page 10
Argent- Goodbye sibling. Goodbye Hallownest.
Luma- (A familiar face / I don’t recognise)
((Ch2.2))
Argent- Focus. Focus. Focus. Why isn’t this working?!?! Raaa!! And now I have no soul left… …
-
Page 11
Argent- Thanks. … This sucks. Focusing… That’s all there is to it… Focus. Out of everything this is the one thing I cannot do- ha! How is it so easy for you?
Is… Is it the void? You are more hollow than me… Is it easier to focus with a mind made from nothingness?
When I focus all I see is light.
-
Page 12
Argent- But I’ll get there, friend! I just need to keep trying. Some time soon I’ll be able to focus, and then I know I’ll be okay.  Thanks for sticking with me, Luma. When I’m no longer bound by lifeblood, maybe I’ll stop holding you back. Until then, well, we have to keep moving forward.
(Honey- Will we be remembered?)
Argent- I don’t want to be forgotten. Like them.
-
Page 13
Luma- Tip Tap
Argent- … Why should it be up to us to remember them? If only you remember me, what would be the point? We have our names- we look for a future- what else is there? What do the forgotten do? Stay in the Abyss?
How did they free us from that place? They have been in that Egg for lifetimes. Their statue in the City is older still… Far older than our freedom…
That light. Those blades. Their void. It was all real, but how can it be so… We are proof of their impossibilities. Was that Vessel no more than a memory? Perhaps that is something worth remembering.
-
Page 14
Argent- Remembering the impossible. That’s us too.
False Knight/Hegemol- !
(Honey- What does it mean to be us?)
((Ch2.7))
Luma- (Tip Tap)
-
Page 15
Argent- Yeah. It’s getting worse. We need to find shelter. We can’t risk getting blown off these cliffs. We’ve come too far to be crushed by nature…
Luma- …
Argent- What about down here…? A cave? Perhaps we can take shelter in here?
Luma- !
-
Page 16
Argent- Ah!
((Ch2.34))
Mato- Taking shelter from the winds, I presume?
Argent/Luma- !!!
Mato- … Oh! You are very welcome to stay!
Argent- … Why?
Mato- … It has been a long time since I last had a visitor, (cont.)

This is a rant about Genshin. Half of it is the community's (to me) bizarre blind hatred of Paimon, who I actually like. The other half was me letting out some gripes with the main story since I was already rambling anyway. I'm putting it under the Read More thing so you don't have to see it if you don't want to.
So I recently got back into Genshin Impact for... reasons.... and as usual I decided to go looking for some vids.
Inevitably this lead me to good old playthroughs and... goddamn I forgot how awful the Paimon hate was and apparently still is. Like 3 years later and I literally can't watch a single video without someone going "OMG I hate Paimon!" or "God Paimon shut up!"
Like it drives me insane because I swear it genuinely feels like no one likes Paimon, which is weird to me because I do like Paimon! One of the only things I miss about Genshin while playing HSR is having Paimon! People constantly call March "The better Paimon" and it's infuriating because like... that's not how this fucking works! They're 2 different characters goddammit that's like me saying "Oh yeah Samurai Remnant Saber is the better Artoria" like the only thing in common is they have the same position in the story!
God it's just hard to enjoy a game and its community's content when every fucking video is constant bitching.
On a vaguely related note since I'm already whining, no one seems to ever complain about the story even though that's what I have way more issue with. I mean look at this fucking pacing, we're 3 years in to this game and I still have no idea what the Abyss is, what the Abyss Order's actual goal is, what the Tsaritza's objective is, what is Khaenriah or why should I care, hell how about the whole journey's objective being the Traveler's Sibling, yet I have 0 reason to care because we know nothing about them nor the Traveler themselves. At this point "Finding my sister/brother" is basically just the generic plot point akin to "Find the One Piece" and "Defeat the Demon King", some random goal that's gonna take way too damn long to actually achieve with no real motivating force beyond "Well we need something to get the MC moving".
Anyways finally got that out of my system. If you read the whole thing, I am sorry. I will shut up and go back to my den of misery now, bye bye~

Overtime, it would become increasingly apparent to Ghost that more things have changed about them than they first realized.
Ghost is the bearer of the Void Heart. The embodiment of the Void's combined will, and - after their ascension - the core of the Higher Being known as the Shade Lord. Though they still look like a typical vessel for the most part (ignoring the damaged mask), the nature of their existence has been greatly altered.
While Ghost still feels a connection to their mask, what with it being the original conduit of their physical form, they don't require it anymore. If they so desire, they can shed their shell at any time and take on their Shade form. On that note, nothing is holding their mask together besides their own will. It's actually still broken, and a hard enough tug on it could briefly pull a piece away before it'd snap back into place.
Due to this, having their shell "broken open" - while more easily accomplished due to the damage already present on their mask - is of no meaningful consequence to Ghost. In most cases, the worst that will do is stun them for a period of time before they either a: force their mask back together, promptly taking on their vessel form again, or b: simply continue whatever they were doing, but as a Shade. It is very difficult to harm them in a way that truly matters.
Ghost also has a heightened awareness of the overall state of Void now. If they focus deeply, they can sense if anything seems to be impacting Void and/or Void entities in some manner. As an example, they would likely take notice if something was riling up their Siblings in the Abyss, a faraway - yet present - surge of hostility emanating from within their Heart.
...As for the Shade Lord? Though it cannot be called upon for trivial reasons, it remains possible for Ghost to form into it. It should not be equated to them, however. Ghost acts as its core, but very little of their personality remains intact. After all, it is not only them in there, but thousands of other Void entities who've fused into that body. The joined mind can only clearly echo shared goals, which results in the god acting more as a primal force than a normal being.
This serves to explain why matters went... more than a little off the rails after Absolute Radiance's defeat. With its primary goal fulfilled, the Shade Lord no longer had a set purpose. Had it been entirely up to Ghost, they simply would have left the dream once it was all over... Instead, Void overtook Godhome and burst out into the waking world, killing the Godseeker and flooding the Royal Waterways in the process. Only after this did the Shade Lord dissipate, the instability of both its mind and body becoming too great for it to remain as one entity.
Aware of the collateral damage the Shade Lord can bring about, Ghost would decide that it should only come into being under truly dire circumstances. With any luck, the Void god will be allowed to slumber for eternity... but who knows?
