“Heyyyy Yuyu,” you draw out, leaning back in your chair with a bright smile. You brought your knees up to your chest, wrapping yourself up in a thin blanket. Aside from the shuffling you could hear coming from Yuyu's mic and the soft music you were playing, your apartment was quiet. Sungchan was still out with his friends, filming his next YouTube video, leaving you alone and bored in your shared apartment.

“Heyy,” he responds, a soft laugh leaving his lips. “I saw everyone's posts. I'm guessing you're feeling a little bored?”

“Ah, you can read me so well,” you say, sighing. “I was going to just sit back and watch some drama, but then I remembered I had a lovely friend who I could talk to.”

“Flattered that you thought of me,” he begins, cheeks heating up just slightly. “Disappointed that I was second to dramas.”

“No one can beat Song Kang, sorry,” you tell him, shrugging.

“Or Yunho?” He adds, prepared to blush even more at your response.

“Oh my God, not even Song Kang can beat him,” you gush, giggling. “So, all in all, you probably fall into… third place?”

He has to stop himself from laughing again, “ouch. Third place, really? You wound me, Y/Nie.”

“Don't worry, you're the first in my heart of guys I've actually talked to,” you tease, despite the fact that your heart skipped a beat at the nickname.

The blush spreads to his ears, and he resorts to hiding in his hands. “You wouldn't leave me the moment you met Yunho?” He questions, testing the waters.

“Depends on how quickly he can pass the NDA,” you joke, hearing the man choke on his laugh. “Kidding, kidding. Of course, I wouldn't leave you, or anyone else, for that fine specimen of a man.”

He's able to calm down from his coughing fit, brought back by the sound of your own light laughter. “You should go to one of their performances, then,” he starts. “Maybe he'll see you in the crowd and just fall head over heels for you.”

“Yeah, I wish,” You scoff, shaking your head. “I even flew to LA to see those guys at Coachella, and still, nothing. Thanks for fuelling my delusions, though. You're a real one for that.”

“Wait, you flew all the way over there to see them?” He questions, surprised this is the first he's hearing about all of this. He earns a quiet ‘mmhmm,’ in response, allowing him to continue. “That's crazy that you'd fly all that way just to see them.”

“Well, it was a good excuse to get everyone together and to see all those artists,” you explain, smiling fondly at the memories of you and your three friends traveling to the States. “I did it for their Summer Sonic performance too. That was just before we met, I think? Yeonjun, Sungchan and I flew up and met Giselle for the festival.”

“You must be a super ATINY or something,” he comments, almost hearing the bright smile playing on your lips as you respond.

“Something like that, yeah,” you let out, cheeks reddening at the realization of the topic. “Enough about me and my obsession, please talk about something else.”

He finds your pleading endearing, “it's alright. I think it's cute,” he tells you. “But, if that's what you want, then of course,” he pauses, thinking of another topic. He goes quiet for a bit, before continuing. “You talk to a lot of streamers, right?”

“I mean, kind of, yeah?” You answer, pulling forward to rest your chin in your hand. “I talk to you and the other guys the most, but I still interact with a lot of other streamers. Why?”

“What if one of them were to be, I don't know,” he pauses again, taking in a deep breath. “A celebrity?”

“A celebrity?”

“Yeah, like not streamer celebrity, because that'd technically be all the streamers you talk to,” he continues. “I mean like, idol celebrity.”

You take a moment to respond, really thinking your answer through. “I guess I'd be excited, yeah,” you tell him, letting out an awkward laugh. “I don't know, really, that's such an odd question to ask.”

“You wouldn't be mad at them or anything?” He asks, eyes shaking as his questions continue. “Like if their identity as a streamer was a secret but you found out? Or something like that…”

“Of course not, no,” you answer truthfully. “Their identity was obviously a secret for a reason, and if anything, I should be honored that they'd share their identity with me. It means they trust me enough.”

Yuyu stays silent as he takes your answer in, a small smile playing on his lips. He takes another deep breath, not too sure what to say next.

“Is there something you need to tell me?” You tease, wondering why he would bring all this up in the first place.

Before he can say anything else, Sungchan bursts through your bedroom door. “We’re home!”

You jump right out of your blanket cocoon, and you can hear the shuffle of Yuyu jumping out of his chair through your speakers. “Jesus Christ, Sungchan,” you pant, your hand covering your beating heart. “A little warning next time.”

“Sorry, Y/Nie,” he smiles softly at you. Sohee joins him in the door, sending a bright smile your way. “Sohee's here.”

“Hi Y/N,” the shorter boy says, waving quickly at you.

“Hi Sohee,” you return, your eyes softening at the boy's smile. “How ‘bout you two start dinner? I'll join you guys in a bit, okay?”

The two boys nod and leave you be, but you can still hear their bickering as they make their way to the kitchen. You let out a sigh, turning yourself back around to your computer.

“Sorry about them, Sungchan brought a friend over,” you tell Yuyu, shaking your head. “As much as I love them, they sure have a lot of energy.”

He lets out a light laugh, “you should go and join them. I'm sure the boys here are going to want some dinner soon, as well.”

“Oh, uh, sure yeah,” you say. “I guess I'll talk to you tomorrow then?”

He smiles softly, “Yeah, I'll talk to you tomorrow. Have fun with the boys.”

“You as well,” you tell him, and the call goes dead.

Yunho leans back in his chair, his smile faltering as he stares up at the ceiling. “Fuck.”

As I walked into the precinct with two lunches in my right hand and a container of cookies in the left I made my way over to the front desk.

"Hello, how can- Y/N! Pleasure as always! You here to see Ryan?" Kai, Ryan's Boyfriend asked with a bright smile

"And his side piece!" I feigned offence as I held up the lunches

"Awe, Tim isn't in at the moment but you can go see Ryan and then draw at Tim's desk till he gets back!"

"Works for me!" I smile and make my way over to my brother. As I walk by people they smile and wave, knowing me from Ryan of course, Angela and Jackson stopped to actually say hello.

*Angela's POV*

After a few minutes of talking with Y/n, we heard her brother call

"N/n!" I had just put my bottle of water up to my lips when I heard the most beautiful word.

"Hey Ryan, I made you and Timmy-" I didn't hear the rest because I had spit near all of the water in my mouth on West and doubled over in laughter

"Are you okay?" Y/n ran the 20 feet back over to me worried

"I'm great!" I eased her mind, and she reluctantly left me and went to Tim's desk with Ryan, he ate while she quietly drew with the blue, red, and black pens Tim had in his pencil holder.

*Tim's POV*

I walked into the precinct after telling Chen to book the douchebag we got

"Tim, she's at your desk!" Kai called I didn't notice the huge smile on my face until-

"Aww, Timmy's smiling!" Angela called out

"You ever call me that again and you're dead" I snapped

"She calls you that." she pointed out with a smile on her face

"Yes, and she is the only one that calls me that."

"Alright, I'm sorry Tim." as I walked to my desk I heard the faintest "me" and laughing right after, it didn't bug me as much because I finally got to my desk

*Ryan's POV*

Y/n didn't notice Tim when he walked in, she always gets so locked into her doodling. He crouched down next to the chair and she gasped

"Timmy!"

"Hey S/n, what you doing?" he asked with his best smile

"Just coloring and waiting for you. I made you and Ryan lunches and cookies!" she said happily as she handed him his lunch and showed him the container of cookies

"Thank you so much, S/n!" giving her a kiss on the nose, now I knew he had a crush on my sister, which I most definitely gave him a huge talk about if he hurts her I'll crush his skull in, but the way he said thank you... had everyone around stopping. Anglea and Lucy were Awwing, and Grey, and Nolan were probably having heart attacks, while West just pursed his lips trying not to smile. I just gave him a warning look as he pulled another chair over and sat in that one

*Tim's POV*

While I was eating some people still looked on and off, not used to the domesticated me, but they weren't ready for what was about to happen, and to tell you the truth neither was I.

"Um- so I was thinking, you wanna go to dinner with me?" I asked slowly not ready for the answer. Everyone was shocked, except the girls... I think they might have been more nervous for her answer than I was

"L-Li-Like a date?" she asked, her entire face turning red looking down to hide her blush. I put my finger under her chin and began lifting her head up

"If that's okay" Somehow I think my face was redder than hers

"That'd be awesome" she said in a small voice

"Yeah?" I had to double check

"Yeah!" she nodded quickly

"Cool" I nervously laughed out

"Cool" she laughed out nearly the same

"DAMNIT" We turned to Kai standing next to Ryan getting his wallet out and handing him a twenty

"W-what?" Y/n asked confused

"I knew he would break first, he thought you would just kiss him one day" Ryan explained

"Well, I've waited this long" She shrugged and turned to me next thing I know her lips are on mine and I never want to let them go

I understand it's not even the fifth-most important point in your post, but I really think that going forward, making sure all creators (at least those of Gaiman's calibre) have as little direct access to fans as possible should be industry standard. We've all heard the horror stories about Vic whatshisface at cons and whatnot, but even the folks who aren't certified creeps detract more than they add to the fan experience (witness the five-alarm Drama that breaks out whenever creators make the tiniest ship-adjacent commentary in interviews).

Couldn't agree more. The Neil Gaiman allegations are not a new phenomenon by any means; we know from countless prior exposures that predators use fame and fortune to ensnare victims, especially those that have been predisposed from maybe even an early age to revere and idolize them. And like you say, even if someone in such a position of power/influence has no ulterior, sinister motives for reveling directly in their fan base, there are so many other things that can go awry from crossing those boundaries. (Gaiman himself warned of the legal complications that could arise from people sending him fanfic directly- you'd think that'd be reason enough for him to, yknow, not be constantly on tumblr interacting with the fanbase and tags, but ofc we know why now)

I think there's something to be said about the quick rise of the internet/social media and the consequences of that in fandom spaces, that we're kind of having to catch up and learn from difficult experience how best to set those boundaries between fandom and creators. It's easy to think we should have known better already, but Gaiman had been carefully crafting his persona for decades at that point and always seeming like one of the 'good ones' as so many others were exposed throughout the years. I think in fact that probably strengthened the parasocial bonds as people clung even harder to him as the precious exception to the rule.

And yet, still I'm somewhat left at a loss of what the hard and fast rules should be, and if they should be the same across the board or if there's any room for nuance. I know that crafting a social media presence, even a persona can be important for accruing a marketed interest (and just unavoidable in the world we live in now, for people in related careers) and I don't think creators/famous people showing appreciation and recognition of their fanbases has to be an inherently bad thing. I know that people enjoy having Q&A panels with creators and interviews asking divisive questions about pairings/plot decisions etc in a show has been a thing since TV digest- but of course, getting in a friendly debate with your IRL friend over whether the last interview from the head writer of Friends meant Ross would end up with Rachel or not is very different from online discourse with thousands of angry, opinionated strangers, and maybe that needs to be taken into consideration in future- that is, if the creators in question actually care about their fans and aren't stirring the pot on purpose, which could also be the case. Anyway.

What's also true and I think should be taken into consideration going forward is that people of Neil's wealth and level of fame don't really need to be constantly interacting with fans on social media. I feel the smarter, safer route there for everyone involved is to have an assistant or PR person to handle social media accounts and in Gaiman's case specifically I feel that this is the least his team could do in the way of restorative justice/keeping his fans safe. This time, he really shouldn't have any public social media he runs himself. I'm literally imploring his lawyers, people, whomever has the ability if you happen to be reading this, to just cut him the fuck off from now on. I don't think that's asking too much of anyone involved. (They have for the time being ofc, but I'm calling for a lifetime ban). As that relates to other famous people, I would say we need to just bear it in mind. A little healthy suspicion for someone famous that's just trying to 'hang out with the gang' on a routine, intimate basis because, like, why? To what end, exactly?

And maybe we need to also have some discussions about predator behaviors from celebrities/creators during in-person meetups, how to recognize them and what to do on an individual and fandom-wide level if it happens. Like, I don't personally think it's appropriate or advisable for a famous person to proposition a fan (regardless of age or gender identity) romantically/sexually at their first meeting with this person at a fan meetup (it's a fan meetup not speed dating), I don't think they should be giving fans their number or contact info (even if it's purely intended, it's not appropriate or safe for either party). I don't think creators/famous people should be commenting on their fans' appearances at these meetups even if it's 'positive' ('wow you're so beautiful'- though there's nuance here, like if someone's wearing a cosplay and it's only about that etc, it can be nebulous but I think yall know what I'm talking about). I think all of those things should be regarded by fans as possible red flags and I think creators should have enough of a sense of responsibility over the power dynamic to know better than to cross those boundaries. I also think fans should feel safe and supported when coming forward with stories of behavior like this and I think we have to always be prepared to learn and 'accept' things we wish weren't true about famous people we like but don't know (accept as in accept as true and then get to work on what restorative justice can be realistically achieved for the victims).

But yeah, I'm interested in knowing what others think about this. Has this revelation made you view the famous people you like differently? Do you think there are better, further methods that should be taken to put boundaries between creators and fans? What can we as fandom communities do better to keep each other safe going forward? I'd love if it we could discuss these issues further.

okay this is just a scenario I cannot stop thinking about once I said that:

you were freshly broken up with your cheating boyfriend- well, you were never labeled but he made you seriously think it was exclusive and that'd piss you off beyond belief, Miles was the perfect shoulder to cry on. Never once did he make a move on you during that time. "That prick said he didn't care for labels but got a public girlfriend after 4 months of being with me!" You mumble out with small tears of frustration pooling in your eyes, your vision was blurred a bit so you couldn't see Miles reaction. He was seething.

how could a guy just use and fuck with you like that? He doesn't deserve to even be treated as a man, much less a person.. But Miles simply comforted you in that moment and reminded you how it was to be cared for platonically, or at least that's how he showed it. The next day? your 'ex' was nowhere to be found, the day after that: he went to school battered and bruised, broken nose, black eye, limping and bandaged everywhere. He told everyone that he was just chilling out in an alleyway by his house and some rando with a purple dark mask and metal gauntlet kind-of-thing just attacked him. weird. Vague coincidence that Miles' knuckles are bruised and he visibly bites back a grin as he hears your ex talk about it. what helped most was that when you told his girlfriend about what your ex did to you, she dumped him and told everyone exactly why, which made him lose any pity he could have gotten.

-Was terrified to tell you he was prowler, never knew how you'd actually react. THATS IT OMFG IDK- DO I MAKE A P4?!

Wanted to talk about q!Forever and his presidency seen from the pov of someone who mostly experience it from outside percepctive as I'm incapable of understanding Brazilian. SAYING IT RIGHT NOW I'm not here to say q!Forever is wrong or evil (as I'm convinced he is not, no need to come and tell me), this is not what's it's about, this is about how lost he seems when you are looking from the exterior.

So I know drama is brewing because people are fighting over who's right and who's an evil virus of satan, and I don't care, I'm not interested in this. I want to talk about the characters I love, because I love q!Forever, and his story makes me so sad.

I want to explain to those who wouldn't know, I'm a mostly french viewers, I follow Etoiles, Baghz, Antoine, Aypierre and Phil (mostly, I try to follow everyone's storyline and povs), the last two are not important here as Philza doesn't interact with the president storyline at all and Aypierre's involvement can be resumed to "I don't care who's in power and what they do, I'll be nice to them because I want power". But basically what the Forever Presidency feels like is not evil, or corrupted, it feels WEIRD :

Because obviously he is kindhearted, he has saved the eggs multiple times, he has done a lot for the island, and has said multiple times he wants to help everyone, and I believe that. But then in some of his actions and speeches, there is so much stuff that we are weirded out about. First how he told Baghera how he wanted to make everyone vote etc. That's okay, but like she said herself "Well that was my campaign idea..." And that's true, and that was also a thing Him and Cellbit used as way to descend her campaign, so that felt like a light knife in the back. But that's the least worrying thing.

There was then the whole deal where from what I understood he felt betrayed by Baghera and Bad as they didn't share everything and witheld information. And from Baghz pov that felt like it came out of nowhere because... Well she didn't ! That was simply miscommunication. And ensued the whole deal where he talked about how he felt about the arrival of the new people, and how he didn't trust them and didn't want to help them unless they had an egg. That was a weird thing in itself, he is supposed to be the president of the island and he is the one least willing to welcome new people.

There was also the nerfing armor stuff. At first we thought he said that as a joke you know, he is just not saying no to Quackity because that'd be rude. But who in their right mind would do that right ? Right... ? And then yestedray he asks Etoiles to do a debate with Quackity to discuss it and everyone went "Wait, he's actually considering it ?" And that was weird because... Well Forever spends most of his time in his base. Isolated. And when you watch Etoiles you know that even with the strongest suit of armor in the game you CAN die everyday. Is... Is Forever asking for a death sentence ? Has he been living under a rock ?

The last thing was yesterday, when Etoiles wanted to ask him a few things, he arrived when Forever was having a secret discussion with Cucurucho, and he ordered the construction of a prison he would have access to. And THAT was so WEIRD, everyone in chat and in reaction were like "WHAT !!??? WH... WHY ??", and then followed by "could I have a gun to defend myself ?" and everyone went "Oh. He... He doesn't trust us !!!", Etoiles himself went *raises eyebrow*. There is something REALLY going bad with q!Forever. And then he immediatly follows by taking in consideration Etoiles' request to allow Dark Metal for his fight against the code, so he's not evil, he's not corrupted... And that's where I realised what it felt like, it feels like he is lost.

It seems he want to do good, but takes weird unnecessary decisions after weird unnecessary decisions that in most cases fucks over other islanders more than it helps, and the important thing to remember is that he is not doing that purposefully, again it seems he is lost, it feels like he doesn't know what he is doing, because of that people are more wary of him, and it leads him to become more paranoïd and he makes even more bad decisions, wich leads to more people being wary of him and it creates a vicious feedback loop that constantly raises the tension. (also having the big PRESIDENT sign next to his name creates an epidermic reaction in every french that makes us want a revolution /j) And it's so sad because the only exit I can see is for the tension to be released in an explosion, a revolution, and THAT could be interesting because for once neither side is truly evil per say. They can be misguided, but not outright evil. Like Baghera said herself "I... I don't understand where he is going."

What's terrifying is what we foresaw with the election is happening, the islanders are driving themselves apart and turning against each other. I don't think the Federation wants to avoid a revolution, I'm pretty sure they would be rooting for it.

(HOWEVER next time I see someone saying q!Forever is this perfect little guy that did nothing wrong... PLEASE. The guy was vicious during the election arc. With how much misinformation he spread on Etoiles most notably.)

System of a bunch of different pokémon (mostly) that literally (accidentally) writes pmd fic with a plural protagonist here. Plurality in the pokémon world is actually pretty interesting to think about. It's pretty common in that world for pokémon to be plural already, so it *might* be more understandable of a thing for most people.

That being said, if I got pmded into a spiritbomb bc I had DID I'd fucking lose it. I actually appreciate your answer as is. It's also plenty respectful imo if that's anything you're worried about.

I and my headmates (you can immediately tell I'm a host because I bitch out of saying "we") vary in species. Most likely it'd just be whoever was fronting at the time of the test would decide, so most likely the host. Maybe other systems that have any positive connection to their humanity would feel different, but I at least don't think there'd really be a pokémon that fit everyone. Trying that would absolutely do more harm than good. If mew/whoever had to figure something like that out it'd be really funny to like put it to a vote.

That being said if mew tried to split a system, that system would be so fucked. This is hard to explain but basically imagine you got transported into a new world but you left behind your ability to get out of bed in the morning and brush your teeth. How the system basically interacts with the world would be completely fractured and incomplete. Maybe others would feel different, but if I didn't have my headmates I wouldn't be able to manage anything about basic day to day life.

The one human body is already its own compromise, so any pokémon that made a number of headmates happy would be a huge step up. In a perfect world the system would be able to change their pokémon based on who's fronting, but I'm not sure if that'd feel like a genuine exploration of the compromise made living like this. It'd make good escapism, but idk. There are probably good stories to be had either way.

I forgot to have a point when I started writing it so I'm basically just rambling at you about the pmd implications of my child abuse disorder so. Do with that what you will

Regardless, I really appreciate it! I wasn’t thinking before about how badly splitting up a system would mess up their day-to-day functioning, but that makes total sense.

Gyutaro is weird. He isn't just your typical guy. I feel like first I need to establish why this man is so fucking weird.

At first things were normal. He was completely "canon" until his sister convinced him to join tumblr to meet his simps. After that, things changed for him. He was meeting new people and trying new things. It was the first time he did something on his own, before this all he did was kill, eat, repeat.

Since joining tumblr Gyutaro has had his fair share of relationships. And man, is it difficult to be in a relationship with him. Especially if you're a human.

Getting into a relationship with him is hard enough, because he rarely catches feelings. Most the people that show interest in him are just straight up thirsty for him, and that can push him away. He'll just label them as another thirsty simp like everyone else. Since so many people are flirting with him and trying to get with him, it's very rare that he would develop feelings for someone.

But if you do things right he'd fall for you. He'll deny it but he really wants to be loved.

If you're able to get into a relationship with him it's going to be difficult. He may be a cool guy but let's not forget that he's still Gyutaro. And he can be an asshole sometimes. You'll need to be extremely patient with him if you want things to work. Even one fight could end it for good. His anger gets the best of him sometimes and if he gets pissed off enough, he'll just end things and pretend he never cared about you in the first place.

Never tell him what to do. Especially if you're a human. He'd snap and blow up at you for thinking you have authority over him. He's upper moon 6, no human has the right to tell him what to do. The only people who are allowed to do so are Daki, Muzan, and maybe some of the upper moons.

If you're a human, he's going to think he has all of the authority. He thinks you're just a silly human, and you need to listen to him because he knows what's good for you. He thinks he's actually protecting you by doing this.

He prefers dating humans because they're weak. Gyutaro may be "ugly" but he knows that he's strong. And nothing makes him feel more fulfilled than being able to protect someone he cares about. He wants his partner to come to him for comfort and protection. That'd make him feel so happy.

Not to mention he's a bit of a yandere, though he HATES being called a yandere. This side of him really only comes out if he really is falling for someone.

He has a lot of flaws when it comes to relationships but he has a lot of great qualities too. Like he's honestly a sweetheart. He'll take you on romantic dates, bring you gifts, and tell you cheesy jokes so he can hear your cute laugh.

When you're around he'll be a blushing mess. Always wanting to be close to you and taking care of you. He'll never admit it, but he falls in love quickly. All he really wants is to be loved.

His favorite thing is cuddling. If you were his partner he'd cuddle you all day in his bed. And when you try to leave he'd hold you tighter and beg you not to go. You'd have to pry his heavy body off of you as he pouts and lays on top of you, trying to get you to stay.

He craves the love that a relationship brings, but at this point he doesn't believe he'll ever get it. He's had his fair share of heartbreak and he thinks he doesn't deserve love. Since everyone just cares about his eggplant he thinks that that's all he's good for.

He thinks he isn't cut out for love, and that the only way he can get affection is through hookups. It makes him really sad because he wants a partner, but he believes he doesn't deserve that.

It was a normal night doing a solo patrol. You actually liked nights like these. The city is quiet and still, it almost makes you wish it was like this more. “(H/n) there’s been reports of strange activities at the nearby warehouse.” Oracle came over the comms. “Really trying to give me something to do? Turning off comms, you made your way to the warehouse. It was abandoned, just left to rot away. It could be a potential hide out for a gang. You entered through a side entrance and looked around the empty building.

In the center of the building was a nest of some sort. It was made of dead branches and scraps of metal. You sighed and turned comms back on. “Looks like a home for some animal. More of a job for an animal catcher.”

“Might as well do it. You’re not doing anything.” You and Oracle laughed together. A loud bang rang out towards the back of the warehouse. It was silent after, a sinking feeling of dread washed over. You looked in the direction of the bang and slowly walked towards it.

Suddenly, an abnormally large dog launched out of the shadows. It bit down on your arm, causing blood to spill. You kicked the dog off and watched it run off into the darkness. Panting, you looked at your now shredded arm.

“I need to head back to the cave. I’m losing a lot of blood Babs.” Your mind was already getting fuzzy. You could barely walk let alone run. This was extremely unusual for just a bite.

You fell to the ground, an overwhelming fatigue taking over your body. Right before you passed out someone ran inside calling your name. Their yelling and footsteps felt so distant as your eyes closed.

When you woke up your entire body aches. You tried to get a grasp on your surroundings. There was a nightstand with a note, pills, and a glass of water on it. Pulling yourself up you open the note and smiled. It was a note from Alfred telling you to take your medicine.

Listening to his wise words you took the pills. You tried to stand up but immediately fell back on the bed in pain. It felt like someone was bashing your head in. Apparently you made enough noise to concern someone.

Their footsteps running up the stairs sounds like bombs. You clamped your hands over your ears. The door flung open and in the doorway was Bruce. “Y/n are you okay?” Even though he spoke at a normal level it felt like he was screaming directly in your ears.

“Please be quiet. Just leave me be.” Your voice sounded so weak. Bruce without another word, left closing the door behind him. You sink back down into the bed. Pain and fatigue took over your body forcing you to go back to sleep.

Weeks had passed since then and things have only gotten more concerning. Your teeth were sharper, your temper was short, and your own strength was starting to scare you. You felt so wrong. The need to get away was overwhelming.

Everyone had taken notice of your changes. The worry and concern could be felt through every interaction. You just couldn’t take it anymore. You packed some of your things and left while no one was watching. You were back on the streets again.

It didn’t take long for the family to notice your absence. They were quick to start searching for you. They search for you all over Gotham. Until, eventually, Alfred finds you. It completely caught you off guard. "Master Y/n, there you are. The entire family is worried sick." He kept his cool as to not scare you off.

"They shouldn't worry, especially you." Your voice was a little rough but not too off. You watched as Alfred shook his head at you, he had a small smile on his face. Something about it was always a comfort to your strange life.

"You worry too much about others, maybe it's time to focus on taking care of yourself." He stated in such a 'matter of fact' way. Which, to his credit, wasn't wrong. He put a reassuring hand on your shoulder. "Tell me why you really left." The words hit you like a truck, maybe there was some underlining issues at play.

"It's just a lot of pressure is all. Protecting the innocent means no mistakes, no half measures. You have to be perfect and I'm not perfect like this." Your voice was as soft as it could be. Alfred let out a sigh before looking off at the sky.

"When Master Bruce was your age, he was filled with so much anger. He caused much trouble in his teenage years." He took a brief pause, probably trying to think of the right story. "One day I was informed by the school that Bruce had received a one week suspension. Of course it was for a fight, he didn't like how a kid was treating others. He said the kid deserved it." He cocked his head and smiled. "So I dragged him by the ear and gave him a lesson in temperance."

You laughed a little at this. "So, you dragged him to teach him a lesson in temperance? Sounds about right." All Alfred could do was laugh at your words.

"Well, he did learn to control his temper. You can learn to control this new power you have." He put his hand back on your shoulder, he made his point clear. "Come back home, for the family."

You thought about for a moment before sighing. "I'll come home but only for your cooking." The small joke made the both of you laugh lightly. The ride home was rather comforting in a strange way.

What you didn't expect however, was everyone bombarding you with affection and questions. Which was mainly Dick.

Plus, I do wish pretty often that we got Steve as Peter's mentor rather than Tony. I just think it'd have been neat. Tom Holland's Peter Parker, as he stands now, in canon, isn't really a neighborhood Spiderman anymore. He's the next Iron Man. If he had been metored by Steve--and by extension by Bucky because those fuckers are attached at the hip--I feel like he would've stayed much more neighbourly and would've filled an entirely different role.

Han in the bg with his own weird force null thing and his close relationship with the twins just. Not really sensing anything wrong. that cutscene was actually so pretty. It's drawn in the same style as Lyney's: very textured lines, slightly reminscent of linocuts, quite a few handdrawn parts, especially where there's water/liquid movement present, etc. Maybe this is a Fontaine style animated cutscene, since the oceanids and lyney are both from there? anyways. i'm intrigued—I wanna see if there are regional cutscene styles or something (that'd be very impressive)

Real thoughts: I think it was actually really sweet how he fell in love with a fairytale. Someone said the oceanid could've been aromantic coded to make their love story more morally palatable; I agree, it would've been cool if she was aro, but I don't think their romantic relationship is like somehow terrible and gross either

overall ending was really mid tbh, I appreciate the character growth of everyone who was on screen but literally all the other characters just disappeared. It was really unsatisfying lol especially for an event that was supposed to be hte gathering/unison of mond and liyue

would've been better if the second day's rhyming couplets ended the event I think; you'd have to tweak it to fit the mood of the oceanid/finch reveal but literally anything works, the ending was so anticlimactic

overall event: 10/10 for giving me the character interactions I wanted, and those that I never knew I needed, 5/10 because the minigames are. not the best, I get the intentions but the execution could've been better. And then 5/10 for story arc (heavily influenced by how mid the ending was LMAO)

Natsu x Gajeel x Laxus, Part 1 of ?

So, a preliminary statement:

We would all like to hope for the ideal throuple i.e. everyone gets together because they're all similarly attracted and into each other, and there's no drama. And we'd also like to imagine that we're above stories of love triangles and envy. But that's not the way this one happens, nor would it be as interesting. We're gonna go at this one mostly from Gajeel's POV.

Gajeel and his attraction to Laxus has been rough enough on its own, okay? My personal headcanon is that Gajeel thought he was straight as recently as when he joined Fairy Tail. Finding out you like men, ideally, shouldn't be so threatening...but Gajeel is a rough-looking hypermasculine punk whose ego is very prominent. And Laxus is an even more rough-looking hypermasculine punk with uhhh rage issues and their first meeting was basically Laxus beating the living shit out of him.

Yeah, that's how we're going with it--Gajeel had to go through the same 'oh god the guy who beat me up is hot' thing that Levy went through, except with added internalized homophobia. Couldn't he like someone less threatening? Have awkward dreams about, I dunno, Gray, or Freed, or Nats--nope, not that one, that'd be awful too.

And luckily for him, Laxus is a loner and also an asshole and also not good at making friends, so at least they're in the same boat. He doesn't have to worry about anyone else having the guts to actually approach his crush. Fuck you mean 'Gajeel doesn't either'? Mind your business.

You get it, it's a source of a lot of stress for him. He feels very awkward and weird about his crush on Laxus and it clashes a lot with who he presents himself as and who he wants to be, and so there's a lot of stress associated with it for him.

It's looking up for him right around the time Laxus rejoins the guild and has to actually interact with people and he's much calmer, which means if he can stop choking over it, Gajeel might can actually make a move.

Which means that by the time he figures out that Natsu is trying to put the moves on his crush, he...basically detonates. Like, he does not handle it well, at all. You've just started to think he might be getting over his vicious rivalry with Salamander and might be calming down when he gets wind of the fact he and Salamander like the same guy. Nope, fuck that, fuck all of that, every last bit of it, Salamander can go suck some other dick.

Of course it's fucking Natsu, right? Dude blew his old guild to smithereens, knocked him unconscious, basically re-homed him to his own guild, consistently outshines and out-competes him for attention, and now he can't even let Gajeel thirst for another man in peace.

So it's a lot of toxic behavior and outward hostility and hair-trigger temper while Gajeel basically tries to simultaneously keep Natsu from pursuing and also deny that he has any sort of feelings for Laxus whatsoever, because that'd be weak as hell, no thank you. Everybody notices and it kinda freaks out onlookers in the guild, who thought Gajeel was over his hyper-aggressive early days.

Of course, poor Laxus, having not one but two machismo-driven idiots who don't know a thing about romance both crushing on him, because you can guarantee Natsu, while he might be more forward with pursuing a crush, is just as clueless as Gajeel. So Laxus, unawares while this is all starting to brew, is basically watching two guys he's actually rather fond of damn near beating each other to death whenever they're in the same room.

It gets bad enough that Laxus has to basically separate them and pin Gajeel to the ground when he starts a fight and Natsu is getting pretty badly hurt. Like he has to pull Gajeel off of Natsu and tells him to his face he's gonna lay down the law himself if he does it again, and demands to know what the fuck is up. Gajeel stays silent.

Of course, Laxus doesn't let that slide. Corners him and drags him off to some isolated location later, so he can wheedle the answers out of Gajeel. It's not like they don't have an understanding between each other, they can trust each other, right? So why's Gajeel being all silent and clammed up. Finally, Gajeel almost spits it:

"Salamander wants you."

so it’s almost been a year since i properly ( there's no way to properly do it but you understand . . ) started self-shipping , i think ? and it's ( in all honesty ? ) helped me through much of the year i started this blog back in march i believe , but i consider our anniversary to be in may ( i thought it was august but a very silly girlie got dates mixed up with lore if you could believe ehe ; ) which . . is five months off but it still feels pretty close ! he’s become such an intrinsic and important part of my life now that it feels as if it’s always been this way i guess . i’ve said it before but his character is just so kind and gentle and caring but also he’s reminded be how lovely it is to actually romanticise life a little bit and how good it feels to embrace your passion/s i um . . i love him very much ? 🩵🥺

he’s such a genuine source of comfort and so very dear to my heart , and I truly think he’s going to be my love favourite forever and i can't wait to do more ship stuff in the coming year hehe ! i’ve been with this series for sixteen years now . because i'm old . ( /j ) it was such a huge staple of my childhood and maybe i’ll talk about it someday - i'd like to ! - because many of my dearest memories are centred around this franchise. perhaps this blog was always inevitable in that way , i like to joke about self shipping with him is like a long term membership bonus . . but either way , in a sense i feel so lucky i get to express my love for it in this way if that makes sense ?

marianne ( having been made this year ) is also important to me in a way that’s . . come to surprise me , honestly ? i haven’t had an ‘ oc ‘ in a very long while so perhaps i just forgot about how emotionally attached you can really become . it’s probably also no shock that despite being a self insert, she’s very personal to me . . as someone that admittedly struggles with quite a bit of negative self talk, being able to say i like these parts of myself that i implement into her character has been quite healing for me as well ! and being able to rediscover my love for collecting flowers and coffee was also something really fun to do ! to the person that designed her ( you know who you are hehe ) I’m so incredibly grateful you bought her to life. It truly does mean sm . . as well as to everyone that's drawn her of course hehe , im always so giddy to see my little beloveds drawn so prettyful !

i really can’t emphasise enough just how grateful i am for both the community and all of my really lovely moots. i’m rather quiet so i don’t talk a lot but the interactions i’ve had on here are soso special to me and i really do cherish them so much no matter how small . . i have so many fond memories this year of that alone and it makes me tearyy happy happy 2024 to you and your beloveds hehe - if you actually managed to sit through all this I’m actually spinning you around so so much you very lovely and sweet . I hope the new year is everything you want it to be ! sending you each and every one of my best wishes your waaay mwah mwah !

before I go to bed I just gotta say I really appreciate how every character in undertale is at the very least treated in a sympathetic and kind way even if they’re probably objectively bad people. like even flowey is ultimately more sad than hatable- he's a child with what’s essentially a severe disability preventing him from being able to feel certain (though not all) emotions. imagine how much that'd fuck with like a ten year old.

(he can still feel emotions in general, he's not totally emotionless he's actually a pretty emotionally volatile character, but he's incapable of healthy love and affection since he's unable to relate to and see others as anything more than things- even the love for chara he desperately held onto has devolved into an obsession with aspects of them he was able to still understand- their efficiency, their ruthlessness, and that they were fun to interact with. sorry this is just something i see sometimes and it’s like. not correct. he describes himself like that because he's a child who doesn’t have the proper words, but he also mentions stuff like being scared.)

but like, again. flowey is a child. he is asriel- the only difference between him and the sweet, good natured prince is his body and his inability to relate to and sympathise with others. and he tried! he tried to be good, but he just couldn’t feel anything, so he switched to being awful to everyone so he could at least feel something. he can enjoy a game, and he struggles to see the people around him as anything but playthings. he's a terrible person because of that, but the fact he's still a suffering child is not forgotten. he is ultimately a tragic character, who deserved better, and one who's capable of change if he chooses to- and he does choose to, if only at the end of true pacifist. he can’t feel the compassion and love for others he did as asriel, but he remembers how important it was to him. he begs you to reset those memories if you try and reset after, because he can’t go back to hurting others the same way and playing the same role again. he's never going to regain what he lost, and people will always distrust him- understandably, considering he hurt them knowingly for fun- but he's still able to act in a kinder way, even if it’s not out of compassion he can’t feel anymore.

undertale is a story about how anyone can be better, if they choose to. and anyone can be worse, if they choose the same. who we are is the result of our choices. it’s also a story about a whole lot of other things, but that sticks with me. every character in undertale has done something wrong. something they regret and makes them miserable. even flowey has regrets, even if they’re filtered through a soulless outlook. yet, all of them can be better people if they confront that. and they can be happier. it’s a story about love, to it’s core. even the no mercy route, in its own twisted way, is about love. the love of games that drives you through unsatisfying, hard and boring grinds. the love of a story and characters to the point you’d push to their limits to see just a tiny bit more. the love for a challenging experience. hell, even the levels you gain are called love- even if it stands for “level of violence” is that not driven by its own twisted love of carnage? and idk. that just tickles my analysis minded brain.

Hello! This is a very important post to me, so please listen up!

I'm opening art requests! I've decided I'd like a chance to practice my art, and specifically drawing by hand, so most of my art will be done by hand before I take a picture of it to post!

Please read the whole of this post before requesting, because if your request violates any of my Will Not Draw points, I will just delete the request and not tell you. It's your responsibility to ensure your request is something I'll fulfill, not mine.

Notes for requests!

I probably won't be able to get to a whole lot of requests in a short amount of time, simply due to the fact that motivation is rare sometimes, and I'm just lucky to have a lot right now

The vast majority of requests will be done by hand! Like I said above, I need the practice, but sometimes I will do digital drawings

I WILL NOT TAKE ANONYMOUS REQUESTS!!! For starters, I need to know who to tag when I've finished a piece. If you're requesting for a sideblog, feel free to ask on anon, but please tag your sideblog so I can still tag you.

Some will be done in crayon lol. I just like crayon, it's fun. If you don't want it done in crayon, please specify that in your request

All skin will be done in marker (or digital, if you're lucky lol). I will post a chart of all my marker colours so you can specify the desired/correct skintone.

I don't know every character! Please specify where the character is from so I know who I'm drawing, and if one character has multiple possible appearances (eg. MLP's Luna & Nightmare Luna) please specify which version you want. If a character has no specified appearance in canon (eg. The Magnus Archives/Protocol, Welcome To Night Vale) I'm picking how they look. If possible, please include official art.

For fandom stuff: I will automatically put any fanart in the appropriate fandom tag. Please let me know if you don't want your requested art in the fandom tag.

Do not gift my art to another user. Just don't. If I ever open commissions, then that'd be fine, but requests will not be giftable.

Things I will not draw:

NSFW/NSFT. Not comfortable with that, plus it's not something I know how to draw anyways. Includes implied NSWF

In conjunction with above: nudity. Not that I'm uncomfortable with nudity, I just have trouble with anatomy

Fursonas. I just don't know how to draw anthro. When I learn, I'll probably make it an option though.

Most physical contact between characters. Just physically can't draw it. So no kissing, I can't do hugging from the side yet (hugging where you can see one character from behind should be fine though). Things like handholding, laying together, etc. are fine, they just might take longer.

More than 2 characters! This is to keep it fair to everyone, as that will take too long.

Characters shopping for white bread. White Bread Guy, I know you're out there, these requests are not for you. I can't draw bread ok. Nothing personal, I just actually can't draw bread.

Most MCYT. I don't really engage with MCYT a lot, so I'll only draw Hermitcraft and Empires people. BUT! I will not do any MCYT ship art, and I won't do the real people, just the characters.

Supernatural (tv show) and Good Omens (tv show). Just at all. Will draw Good Omens (book) stuff though.

Doctor Who's Thoschei (Doctor x Master) and Doctor x River Song ships. They hold a special place in my heart, so I'm not going to draw them for that reason. I will draw the characters interacting platonically (or as enemies, if you'd like, but that doesn't apply to Doctor x River Song) though, so you can still request them

Gore/violence. Nope. Just nope. No gore, no violence, no graphic injuries. Specifically no broken limbs.

Real people, even if they're your friend. No, I won't even draw you.

Things I'm iffy about drawing (these will just take me a bit longer):

Animals. I'm not great at animals, so animal requests might take a bit longer.

Fandom ships. For the most part, SFW ship stuff is fine. But if I decide I'm not comfortable with a ship, when you request it I will give you a heads-up. For the most part, this shouldn't come up, but I know it's possible, so this is your official notice.

Doctor Who. I'm a bit protective of Doctor Who for some reason (it's something I hold really close to my heart), so I might be a bit iffy with it, meaning it might take longer for me to draw.

Vehicles. Not the best at vehicles either, so those might take longer.

Blood is fine, but as seen above, gore is a nope. However, drawings depicting blood will be tagged with the CW and TW tags, and will take me longer as well

In regards to the "No Fursonas" rule: I will still do characters with animal traits (ears, tails, wings, etc.), they just might take me longer. Also, wings will not be accurate. Might just take longer to draw if I have to look up the animal you want the features of

Disabilities. I will have to research the disability before I can draw it, so this will take longer, but I absolutely will try my best!

Original Characters (OCs). I will need a detailed description OR a reference sheet to draw your OC. I will not draw an OC without one of those things. If I draw your OC, you are allowed to use the drawing for a reference sheet, but I will ask that you credit me.

Detailed backgrounds. I can do small landscapes/backgrounds, but I struggle with rooms and perspective so those will take longer. Also, I won't put people in them, so I won't be able to do a complex background for your characters, only something simple.

This will be updated whenever I feel the need to, and whenever I decide to close requests (or if I re-open them after!)
