Manifesting physical changes in appearance without surgery, is it possible?
Okay, so it is 100% possible to change your physical appearance, including your bone structure, with just manifestation. This isnât just some abstract idea or a wild theory yk itâs based by the way your mind, body, and energy work together. If you want to reshape your face, jawline, or even your posture, manifestation can absolutely make it happen.
Your body is constantly changing...and bones are living tissue, and they go through a process called remodeling. This means that your skeleton isnât static...and yk itâs being rebuilt throughout your life. When you focus your mind on a specific outcome, like sharper cheekbones or a more defined jawline, youâre sending signals to your mind causing the change...
Science already supports the idea that your mind has a direct impact on your physical reality. The placebo effect proves this...people experience real, measurable physical changes just because they believe something is working.
Letâs not forget about neuroplasticity. Your brain is designed to adapt to new patterns and ideas...when you repeatedly on a certain change of the appearance you desire, your brain starts to treat that vision as reality.
Epigenetics takes this even further. This is the science of how your thoughts, environment, and behaviors can influence how your genes express themselves. While your DNA remains the same, your bodyâs response to your mindset can alter the way your genes activate, affecting everything. By focusing on your ideal appearance and holding that image in your mind, youâre literally programming your body to align with it.
Itâs not just theoretical...itâs practical. When you fully belief that youâre changing, the changes start to actually happen. For example, if youâre manifesting a sculpted jawline, your body might instinctively start making micro..adjustments, like improving your posture, chewing in ways that tone your face, or even activating dormant muscles. These small, consistent changes create visible results over time.
Yk what the actual truth is? manifestation has no limits. If you can believe it, you can achieve it. Your body is far more adaptable than youâve been led to believe. The main key is strong belief only. You donât need surgery or external validation...everything you need to change is already within you.
So, yes, you can reshape your face. Yes, you can change your bone structure. Yes, you can manifest the appearance youâve always dreamed of. All it takes is the courage to believe in your power and the commitment to see it through.
So believe that it's already yours and see how you'll be shocked by your own desired apperance when you'll look at mirror..

HMMARBLEDESİGN - DRAGON+ (4)

Transforming your bathroom into a luxurious retreat doesn't have to be daunting, especially with the timeless elegance of black marble. The deep, rich tones of black marble not only exude sophistication but also create a striking contrast that can elevate any space. In this blog post, we will explore the allure of a black marble bathroom, highlighting how this dramatic feature can infuse modern elegance into your home.
Black Marble Bathroom
The black marble bathroom is a stunning choice for those looking to create a sophisticated and luxurious space. This bold design element can transform an ordinary bathroom into an exquisite sanctuary. The rich tones and unique veining of black marble bring an air of elegance and style that is both timeless and contemporary.
When incorporating black marble into your bathroom, consider options such as black marble countertops, vanity tops, and even accent walls. The contrast against lighter colors can create a striking and dramatic effect, making your space feel more expansive and well-defined.
One of the key benefits of a black marble bathroom is its versatility. It pairs beautifully with a variety of materials, such as brushed gold or chrome fixtures, and complements different color palettes, from soft whites to vibrant jewel tones. This adaptability allows homeowners to personalize their space while maintaining a cohesive look.
There are various finishes available for black marble, each offering a unique aesthetic. A polished finish provides a sleek, glossy surface that reflects light beautifully, while a honed finish delivers a more understated, matte look that can soften the overall appearance of the bathroom.
Lighting plays a crucial role in showcasing the beauty of a black marble bathroom. Consider installing ambient lighting to highlight the natural veins and texture of the black marble. Additionally, task lighting around mirrors can enhance visibility and add warmth to the space.
To add depth and interest, incorporate other design elements that create contrast and texture. For example, pairing black marble with wooden accents can create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Textiles such as plush towels and bath mats in lighter shades can also soften the overall look.
With its rich aesthetic and timeless appeal, a black marble bathroom is more than just a design choice; itâs an opportunity to create a luxurious retreat in your home. Whether youâre planning a complete renovation or simply looking to refresh your existing space, integrating black marble can elevate your bathroom to new heights.
Modern Marble Bathroom
When it comes to designing a modern marble bathroom, the emphasis is on clean lines, minimalistic features, and the striking appeal of marble. This luxurious stone, often associated with opulence, can elevate your bathroom space into a sanctuary of relaxation.
One of the defining characteristics of a modern marble bathroom is the color palette. While many opt for classic whites and creams, darker shades like black or gray marble create a bold statement. Black marble, with its rich depth and unique veining, can transform traditional notions of bathroom design, making it a chic and contemporary choice.
A key feature in a modern marble bathroom is the seamless integration of marble into various elements, from countertops to flooring. Large format tiles have become increasingly popular, creating a sense of space and continuity. Pairing these tiles with elegant fixtures and understated accessories enhances the overall aesthetic without detracting from the beauty of the marble.
Vanities in a modern marble bathroom often showcase the stoneâs natural patterns, turning functional furniture into a visual centerpiece. Choosing sleek hardware and soft-close drawers can maintain a streamlined look, while integrated lighting adds warmth and sophistication.
For those seeking to add a touch of personality, consider incorporating wood elements or contrasting materials like glass. These choices balance the heaviness of marble with lightness, making the bathroom feel both inviting and serene.
Incorporating plants or greenery can breathe life into the cool, polished surfaces of a modern marble bathroom. Strategic placement of greenery not only adds color but also promotes a calming environment.
Lastly, donât forget about the practicality of maintaining your modern marble bathroom. While marble is undeniably glamorous, it requires regular sealing and care to keep it in pristine condition. Choosing the right products for cleaning and maintenance will ensure your marble retains its beauty for years to come.
Bathroom Marble Design
When it comes to creating a luxurious and sophisticated space, bathroom marble design stands out as an exceptional choice. Marble is known for its timeless beauty, variety, and ability to elevate the overall aesthetic of any bathroom. In this section, we will explore some key elements and ideas related to bathroom marble design.
Choosing the Right Marble
One of the first steps in bathroom marble design is selecting the right type of marble. From classic white Carrara to striking black marquina, the options are abundant. Each type of marble comes with its unique veining and color variations, allowing you to match the marble to your personal style. Consider how different marbles will interact with your bathroom's lighting and the overall color scheme to create the desired atmosphere.
Incorporating Patterns
Another exciting aspect of bathroom marble design is the ability to incorporate patterns. Marble can be cut and laid out in various patterns like herringbone, checkerboard, or even geometric shapes. These designs can add depth and interest to your bathroom, making it feel more dynamic and stylish.
Combining with Other Materials
To enhance your bathroom marble design, consider combining marble with other materials. Pairing marble with warm woods, sleek metals, or even vibrant tiles can create an intriguing contrast and elevate the space further. This combination can help to soften the look of marble, making it feel more inviting and less formal.
Accent Features
Incorporating marble accent features like vanity tops, shower surrounds, or even marble sinks can transform a standard bathroom into a luxurious retreat. These elements become focal points in the design, drawing attention and admiration. For a truly unique touch, consider custom marble pieces that reflect your style.
Maintenance and Care
While the beauty of marble is undeniable, it's important to consider its maintenance. Proper care, including regular sealing and careful cleaning, will keep your bathroom marble design looking pristine. Avoid harsh chemicals that can damage the stone, and always use coasters or mats to prevent stains and scratches.
In summary, bathroom marble design offers a wealth of possibilities to create a stunning and elegant space. With the right choices and careful planning, you can achieve a bathroom that embodies luxury and style.

Y'all remember this post I made talking about how kimono carries visual and cultural language within it and how you can express so so much just by picking the type, the cut, and the patterns? I actually want to extrapolate on this and show how we can actually see that language used during the TWST New Year's event! (Sources will be directly linked as information is introduced.)
For some initial context, while the "plot" of the event is mainly just Sam's New Year Sale, a lot of the visual language, accessories, and cultural references used in the event call back to ShĹgatsu or the Japanese New Year festival. This is a time where people WILL dress in traditional kimono and participate in traditional games, dances, eating traditional foods. So seeing the cast in kimono makes a world of sense.
The character I want to talk about in this post specifically is Ortho. His design for the New Year is honestly such a great example of how the different subtleties in kimono all come together to paint a picture, and tell you so much about the person wearing the kimono. Because ultimately, when I look at Ortho's kamishimo? All I see is brilliant foreshadowing about the entire plot of Book 6 and his role in the narrative.

The first thing I want to draw your attention to is the colors. It's the thing we see at a first glance. And while yes, these are the colors of Ignihyde, you might find it interesting to know how this combination translates in the kimono visual language. White, black, and blue are colors associated with and/or signify winter and death. So even if you had no idea that Ortho lived in STYX and was twisted from the film adaptation, Hercules, you could still draw that association from what colors he chose to wear and specifically which color is his base color - white, and which are his accent colors- black and blue.
To further explain, black is the traditional color worn when wearing mourning kimono. And white bleached cotton is traditionally worn as the garments of the deceased. While it may be a bit of a stretch, to me, the choice to use white base garments with black and blue accessories may actually reflect his in-between state. The way that real Ortho is dead, and this Ortho lives in his place is a huge aapect of the narrative behind Idia and Ortho. Grief and the negotiation of self identity, the path that Ortho takes to figuring out who he is despite being a living memory of someone who is dead, is not lost in the visual language of this kamishimo. I think, whether intentional or not, it's something reflected in how the black overlays the white, signifying that mourning and that life after the passing of another.
The next thing I want to actually draw your attention to is the era that the kimono comes from and the style of the kimono. This kimono is actually called a "kamishimo". The Kamishimo was the uniform worn by samurai during the Edo Period shĹganate. The combination of the overcoat with the inner shirt, hakama pants, and specific style of adorned obi was quintisential for anyone who lived as a samurai. It signified their role in the government and their social status without the need for explanation, allowing people to adjust their mannerisms accordingly upon first meeting the samurai.
We know from how Idia refers to himself as ćč
(sessha) and refers to others as -ć° (shi) that he and Ortho are incredibly passionate about the Edo period and very specifically samurai. So it really is a cute nod to that that Ortho would be wearing it. At least... if that's where the symbolism ended.
See the thing that strikes me about his kamishimo is that it's not a "real" kamishimo either. From the silouhette, color scheme, and broad shoulders, we can actually deduce that the kamishimo here is a theatrical kamishimo- worn in Kabuki theater.
Kabuki theater really developed and took off during the Edo period, especially during the Era in which women were forbidden from performing on stages. Many of the jidai-mono (historical plays) performed in Kabuki utilize yakugara (character archetypes) to make it much easier for audiences to watch and appreciate the narrative. These archetypes are often visually defined by uniform or repeating characteristics in their kimono, their makeup, their wigs, and their props as a short hand for audiences to be able to follow.
One such yakugara is called the "jitsuaku". This archetype is specifically defined by an "evil mastermind who plots to overthrow the goverment/feudal lord through rebellion", either due to seeking revenge, wanting power, or by whatever rationale the narrative gives him.
Here are some classical depictions of the jitsuaku in traditional artworks:
Source

Source

We can see by the depictions what the common color schemes and patterns used in their kamishimo are; the big/baggy silouhette with extremely dramatic, pointed shoulder pads; and the various decorative accessories and how they are placed.
Look familiar?
Ortho's silouhette very clearly harkons back to these specific types of kamishimo, that are considered archetypal of the jitsuaku. In other words, I have reason to suspect that the card designers of TWST are depicting Ortho as a jitsuaku... a evil mastermind who seeks to take over an institution through rebellion...
That sounds an awful lot like the plot of Book 6 and his specific role in the narrative to me.
This is all to say that the visual language of kimono is so so prevalent in his design, and I would extend that argument to every design in the New Year's line up - yes, this includes the most recent inclusion of Jack, Malleus, Jamil, and Floyd. And personally, I think it's genuinely so so cool and incredible that they would choose to add those nuances intentionally into the design in order to tell us everything that we need to know about the character- from social status, to gender and sexuality, to even personal feelings and emotions. It shows how much love is genuinely poured into making these characters feel alive and dynamic, and I think it's genuinely worth taking the time to appreciate.
And if you are still reading this and you are just starting to learn more about the visual art of kimono, then I genuinely hope you find this as encouragement to deep dive and learn more for yourself. Because honestly having that access and knowledge to those cultural elements and traditions truly helps open your eyes to all of the subtleties and messages that the creator wants you to see. And moreover? I think it really helps allow us to better appreciate the characters and the artwork on a much deeper level.
Thank you for reading this. I hope you genuinely found it fun, insightful, and maybe even inspiring. đ

Details and analysis of 3H outfits
There is a reflection of the house color in the uniforms of students. Although the examples presented in the image are non-recruitable characters, when you recruit students, the color of the reflection in their uniforms will change to the color of your chosen house.

The Byleth academy uniform concept is based on the concept of student uniforms in modern japanese media. Such as the female uniform, which is based on a japanese female student uniform in terms of a hairband, short skirt, andwhite stockings. The male uniform is based on a uniform from the Taisho period.
Female summer clothing is based on the Patra's uniform with the color scheme reversed, the reason may be due to Petra's nature that adapts to hot weather. However, male summer clothing is based on Felix's uniformđ¤
The evening wear consists of an Aiguillette which symbolizes honour, and a stylized design of Pellegrina which has a rhombus (males) and heart (females) shape on its edges, with a standard CoS pattern on the males sleeves and females skirts. The female skirts specifically are the same design as the nun's which both contain the pattern of Sothis' dress. Since the evening wear is intended to celebrate Garreg Mach's establishment, it is only natural that the design combines a formal uniform with CoS clothing.
Duscur
The children wear clothing similar to ancient Egyptian clothing, but the clothing of the man and woman closely resembles those of northern europe. (However, I may be wrong, so feel free to add to this post if you know more about the type of clothing of the Duscur people)
All clothing of the Duscur people of this feature a pixelated pattern, and color schemes of teal, light orange, vanilla, and red cords.
The design of their jewelry appears to be a mixture of wing symbols from cultures such as American Indians, Egyptians, and Persians.
Almyra
This man from the VW end mural wears clothing similar to Nader's, and with a color scheme similar to Claude's and the color purple, which symbolizes royalty in persian culture, he is very likely the king of Almyra.
What I found interesting is that although Almyra is inspired by Persian culture, Nader and king's clothing is similar to Tibetan clothing. However, this is not a problem, there is no shame in drawing inspiration from a number of different cultures to make a culture in a fantasy story, as is the case with Duscur.
Dagda
From the clothing of the man on the camel and the helmets of the soldiers, Dagda appears to be inspired by Ottoman culture.
The reason I believe they are from Dagda is because there are many Shamir's design elements at their design.
Well, my statement that "there is no shame in drawing inspiration from a number of different cultures to make a culture in a fantasy story," this is an example of the opposite.
This man from the CF end mural wears the emblem of the kingdom, but his clothing style is that of the alliance. Whyđ¤

Design concepts for Grian!
basically, completely overhauling how I draw him!
Design notes under the cut!
Animal: Sphinx
He's one of two people that try to hide that he has a motif (the other being Scott, but I'll get to him), so his animal traits are a lot more subtle. We only see more overt traits like his wings and big teeth through his hallucinations.
FACE/HEAD
Wide face! Very rectangular.
Generally, he has more reserved expressions that are based off his eyes.
His face/head shape is meant to resemble that of a lion, with a broad nose, round ears, and a lazy, catlike smile.
The shape of his hair is meant to resemble a bird with tucked wings, though I'm not sure how well I pulled that off!
He has lowlights in his hair that, when pulled into the "wings," makes the light and dark strands crisscross into that waffle pattern.
He doesn't have irises! It's a genetic disorder called aniridia, which affects his sight. During/before EVO he still had ~75% of his irises and wore contacts, but now he's fully reliant on his watcher abilities to see (though bright lights still affect him!).
BODY TYPE
Even mix of soft muscle and body fat. Reads as soft but can absolutely pack a punch!
Most of his bulk is around his abdomen and biceps, with a bit of overhanging fat in both areas (though we don't really see this).
Legs are fairly skinny to give a more birdlike appearance to his shape.
CLOTHES
An adapted version of business casual! Adventure casual? Business adventure?
The leather vest is mostly there for weight. It's there to help ground him when he's experiencing the wing hallucinations. Most of the weight for it lands on his back, where said wings would otherwise sit.
Leather patches on his elbows and the toes of his shoes from wear and tear (though the left one is starting to tear off again...) as well as a messy stitch on the side of his pant leg.
This outfit doesn't actually fit, but he works with it! This is his favorite outfit and he's going to make it work goddamnit!
Doesn't generally button the top button on his undershirt.
ADDITIONAL
He's the only one that sees the wings/eyes/teeth in his hallucinations! He does also see more overt versions of other motifs (so hare ears on Etho, or antlers on BigB, for example). This isn't all he sees, and episodes can induce nausea in the same way looking at a magic eye painting can make you dizzy.
He doesn't show any physical signs of injury or aging, nor does he have the ability to make lasting changes to his appearance (such as tanning, gaining/losing muscle mass, haircuts, tattoos, etc.) with the exception to this rule being, ironically, his eye bags.
Final note is that with the life series, I'm approaching the watchers through a complex trauma lens. In my interpretation, they are otherworldly and incomprehensible entities that can damage the human psyche just through small, direct interactions. Grian, after being changed into one against his will for an extended period of time and then changed back, has a very difficult time separating that experience from his own identity. The watchers themselves ARE NOT a current part of the games, but Grian uses the abilities gained from them in order to run the games. It's his way of both reconnecting with his humanity and reclaiming that trauma.
Once again, the watchers ARE NOT a part of the games in my version. References to them through Grian are either flashbacks or hallucinations.

Gen question: This is something I wanted to ask
How do you know which designs are complicated for animation and which ones aren't? There's some artists I follow who draw with complicated designs on their ocs, and since they've drawn them so many times, would the complications be for anyone trying to draw the designs, or does it just apply to the animator themself?
Hi!
There's a difference between designing a character for illustration and designing a character for animation.
The complications arise when trying to draw a detailed character thousands of times, so to answer your question, it would be the animator.
Imagine you're drawing fanart of a Vivziepop character (let's use Fizzarolli as an example)

Sure, it would take a while for you to draw with all the patterns, stripes, etc, but it wouldn't be impossible.
Now imagine drawing all of Fizzarolli's patterns and details hundreds and thousands of times.
Animation is typically done on 24 frames per second, which means there's 24 drawings that make up 1 second of animation.
I'll use Mammon's Musical Special episode then that's when Fizz roughly has the most screen time.
Since that episode is about 30 minutes long, and with 24 frames per second, then that means the animators would have to draw Fizzarolli for about 43200 frames.
43200 frames.
That's 43200 drawings, not even counting the other complicated designs like Blitz, Mammon, Glitz and Glam, etc. You can see how it adds up over time.
For reference, an animation I'm working on has about 9000 frames, and it's animated on a much lower frame rate.
That's the main difference between drawing and animating. You have to draw the character thousands of times, so any shortcuts are a blessing.
As to know what designs are good for animation and which ones aren't, it's usually a mix of a gut feeling and thinking about how animators with varying skill levels would manage.
This Reddit post answer explains it really well, so I'll be using a snippet that will answer your question.
"Animation friendly generally means that a lot of animators with varying skill levels are able to adapt to the art of your models on a short amount of time. Making the production flow smoother and deadlines easier to hit."
Of course, trying to draw a complicated design can be hard for the first time, but with enough practice, you get used to it. In animation... it's a whole other story.
Hope this answers your ask!

Hey do you have world building ideas and advice for hot climates like deserts, savannas, or any tropical island for example?
Of course! :D I'm assuming you want a post the opposite of this one [x]
Worldbuilding: Hot Climates
Beating the sweltering heat
When it comes to living in a hot climate, there's learning to survive the heat, and adapting to the ins and outs of usually very uniquely biodiverse environments.
For humans surviving intense heat is often not actually that difficult. Due to the placement of the equator many nations live in sweltering conditions. The key to surviving is based on the different kinds of hot biomes, there's some different general survival advice for someone living in a windy desert compared to a humid rainforest.
When it comes to extreme fantasy environments we have factor things in like fire safety, heatproof suits, fireproof architecture, solarpunk technology, and more.
Arid versus Humid
Arid (also known as dry) leads to more desert biomes, as it rarely rains. Deserts although stereotypically very devoid of life aren't actually always that. Many peoples live in these places of course, and all kinds of life thrive within. Think about cactus fields, vibrant but sparse greenery, and the tons of the desert insects.
In these kinds of biomes we can see things like dunes, mountains, sandstone, cracked earth, and so much more. In deserts things like lightning storms, sandstorms, invasive plants that rely on the wind (like tumbleweeds) need to be taken into consideration for the people who live there.
However things change drastically if it is a hot and not-arid climate, like a rainforest or jungle. Humidity can be just as dangerous, if not even more on it's own in such a sweltering environment. Many rainforests also take place in high altitudes, which are their own adventure.
Figuring out what you wanna do between these two polar opposites is the hard part, but don't too discouraged because with the use of mountains and weather-travel, these biomes can sometimes end up close by to one another.
Tropical versus Subtropical
You learn something new everyday, I didn't even know there was a difference until making this post.
Tropical climates have consistence hot temperatures and rain, while subtropical climates have more seasonal features, maintaining a warmer to hot temperature with seasons of dry versus rainy.
For earth what typically makes a nation one or another relies on the equator. The closer nations are all usually tropical, while the outer group marked right below US Midwest and right in the middle of Argentina, are our subtropical nations.
For example, Libya is a subtropical nation and Indonesia is a tropical one.
It doesn't have to work like this in your worldbuilding, but it's something that could be considered in how climates typically form. I'd also like to add that monsoons and tropical storms are a thing. If you're in the tropics or subtropics expect hurricanes, warm storms, and monsoon seasons.
Moonsoons mostly affect Southeast Asian nations, but there is a variant of monsoons that touch down in the western US, southern US, west-central Africa, Madagascar, and more.
If you've never been in a monsoon, just think heavy rain. LIKE reallllly heavy rain for several months seasonally.
Clothing
Think about what you need for specific hot environments, whether it be flowy or "revealing" clothing to keep yourself cool, or long loose-fitting breathable fabric, capes, and scarfs for a sandy region to protect against sandstorms.
Clothes in majority of hot regions will be very lightweight and easy to move around in. Culture and religion plays a big role in the rest. Many high-cultured groups such as natives in both cold and warm regions wear vibrant colorful clothing, of patterns and designs.
Body paint or mud paint is an ancient used technique, still seen in many places to this day to protect from bug bites in places like the rainforest, but also for a form of cultural self expression and tradition.
For humid regions wearing things that are waterproof is quite important, especially during monsoon season.
Biology
For humans we have all sorts of natural abilities that allow us to live in hot places, like heat acclimation, but what about everything else?
Desert animals often have ways that they avoid too much sunlight, such as burrowing, and living in dens. Often times they don't need much water, have ways to hold reserved hydration like camels, or get water from specific sources like prey and cacti.
Some animals have special padding on their feet to prevent the hot sand from burning them. Longer lingers also help heat escape, and features that help regulate body temperature are often amped to the extreme (fennec fox ears). There's lots of natural camouflage at play too, because there's not a lot of hiding places in the middle of the desert.
When it comes to places like jungles or rainforests, animals make use of the biodiverse environment. Think canopies, dense foliage, vines, wetlands, etc. The excess amounts of vibrant fruits and dense foliage allows things like birds to be brilliantly colorful. Rainforests and similar environments allow for heavier biodiversity, meaning often times stranger more uniquely evolved animals.
Water/Food Sources
As for deserts and intelligent societies water is the biggest concern, the second one being food. Groundwater from wells and aquifers is the most common modern source. While in ancient times when groundwater wasn't relied on, populations gathered around a source of water, like the Nile for instance.
When it comes to food large crops would need to be brought in from outside desert territory, so instead expect lots of meats from animals like goats, lots of dairy, insects, edible cacti and desert grown fruit/fungi. If people can rely on coastal food source they will, eating mostly fish and rice.
Desert Life Things
Wood can be more scarce in deserts, leading for different materials to be used into strong heat-resistant structures like brick. In fact a lot goes, but not concrete. Concrete does an amazing job in keeping heat in, while things like mud-brick housing conducts temperature in such a way that it stays cool during summer and comfortably warm in the winter.
Expect lots of air conditioning if an available option. Things like high ceilings, small windows, thatched roofs, and architecture that helps houses maintain cool temperatures.
Coastal Life Things
A lot of coastal architecture has adapted to tides, thinking houses on stilts or homes placed somewhere elevated high enough to overlook the ocean. We see this in other environments like wetlands too. Access to boats or docks is a major thing too. Cities would rely on docks as car-based cities rely on parking lots.
The place must be ready to adapt to changes in the water, and natural disasters (excluding something so extreme that is inevitable like climate change/rising sea levels)
Rainforest/Jungle Life Things
Pretend rainforest and jungles combine these architectural factors of coastal regions and desert regions, but now they have access to wood. In fact the usage of live trees is also a thing, building homes around trunks, houses high up connected to trees, and more stilts. Also expect lots of hammocks now.
Fun Fact:
One of the hottest places on the earth is an acidic desert in Ethiopia, the Danakil Depression (Dallol). The mixture of the salt in the area and the volcanic presence underground creates an incredibly toxic and acidic environment, that is beyond hot. Think a salty version of the Yellowstone region except it's all a desert, in the middle of Africa.

I've been a fan of your work for a bit now and I gotta say your creature design is peak! What is your process?
Thank you! The vast majority of my creature design here is just taking parts of the irl earth tree of life and going 'what if the niche was different', so this does not necessarily apply to settings that are fully alien (though some core elements would apply universally to any 'grounded' creature design)
When looking at the tree of life you will find a lot of patterns in unrelated animals who have adapted for the same purposes. For example raptorial claws are extremely common in ambush hunting arthropods and occur in very similar shapes in entirely unrelated species, because they are highly efficient adaptations of arthropod limbs to grasp and hold onto prey)
(water scorpion, mantis, mantisfly, whip scorpion, ambush bug, mantis shrimp)
So a lot of design questions are answered by asking about the imaginary animal's niche and referencing real life animals that fill this niche
Like these are anatomically based on pterosaurs, but addressing the question of 'what if pterosaurs expanded to a similar niche to penguins (flightless swimming predatory birds of fish and squid) and a branch from there became fully aquatic (filling predatory niches closer to dolphins or seals). '
I think the key to making it feel naturalistic is to not FORCE it to fit the mold. The question is not 'what if x was shaped like y' but 'if x occupied y niche, what adaptations would be most advantageous/are most common in extant analogous animals?'
Uhrwal (dolphin looking ones) reference a mixture of dolphins and penguins in terms of head shape, as they have beaks and this is a likelier route than something more seal-like or etc. They are egg layers and by necessity have ties to the land, so the rest of their anatomy references pinnipeds (quadrupedal, haul out to reproduce) more heavily. They also have whiskers for prey detection, mostly because I love giving things whiskers but it's plausible in that most animals in similar niches have whiskers and those that don't (cetaceans, analogous fish species) have echolocation or other senses (chemical, electrical) that assist in prey detection which a pterosaur is less likely to develop than simply modifying their pycnofibers into whiskers
Tiviit very very very heavily reference penguins as they are basically in the exact same niche (semi aquatic previously flighted beaked egg layers), but remain quadrupedal (like pterosaurs) rather than bipedal (like avians) and their anatomy is adjusted to suit this. Varkheshi (big tiviit, bottom right) hunt large prey (rather than fish and squid) fill a niche that no penguin/bird in general actually occupies, and have hooked and serrated beaks to bleed prey and bulky heads with large muscle attachments for increased bite force to rip and tear flesh of subdued prey items. Etc.
Beyond that, I'm extensively referencing similar animals for details like coloration and etc. There's no dolphins or penguins/seabirds with the Exact color and patterning shown here, but similar colors and patterning are very common.
It's pretty different with the sophonts because I've basically worked backwards with them and have had to brute force their designs into realism
The setting was originally more of a standard fantasy with most of the nonhuman ones being basically anthros, or otherwise very unrealistic and unsatisfying designs for what turned into a very grounded setting.
So I kind of had to brute force them into a place on the evolutionary tree and attempt to have satisfying answers to 'why are they walking upright?' 'why do they have hands?' 'how do they use tools?'.
Which btw is REALLY not a good way to go about this process if you're aiming for realism, because it will back you into corners where you have to choose between bullshitting heavily or scrapping key elements altogether, and I had to wipe the slate almost entirely in a couple of places to come to a design/premise I'm satisfied with (especially archin, which used to be 3 ft tall anthro bees). And there's still a LOT of questionable elements in these designs, like I don't think I've made a satisfactory excuse for qilik to have hands or done a good job on said hands (a transitional gliding avian would be FAR more likely to use its beak than its increasingly vestigial hands as a manipulating limb). Yotici are also kind of a mess

what if charlie and the chocolate factory was a cartoon?
finally finished this, it took forever but itâs done! đ
more info on my thoughts behind the designs below đ
As a kid, I loved both the Willy Wonka/Charlie and the Chocolate Factory films and I loved the book, too. I did a rewatch of the films recently and thought to myself âhmm⌠kinda surprised there hasnât been an animated adaptation,â
So I decided to draw the five kids as cartoons! I referenced the characterâs in the films for the designs I drew here, all of which vary with influence. For example, I think Violetâs design in the 2005 film is perfect so her design here is heavily inspired by it. Mike is also based off the 2005 film, too. For the others, I tried to do a mix of both films with my own flair.
Augustus has curls, kinda like lollipop patterns, a striped shirt (another pattern) and the primary colours of red, blue and yellow. Violet has her hair cut neat and has blue and gold colours to represent her competitiveness. Charlie looks warm and innocent, shown through his expression and I used earthy colours for his palette. Veruca has a huge, flashy smile and has a lot of pink! Her curly hair puffs up and you can spot little devil horns. Mike has a lazy, lounged like pose to show his âI donât careâ attitude with lots of red and blacks, showcasing his edginess.
It was fun designing them all!

May i humbly request a Kougra review if it hasnt been done already?
(This is the last Neopet review request in the inbox right now! Send 'em if you got 'em.)
The Kougra is one of the those Neopets that's just a pretty straightforward interpretation of a real animalâin this case, a tiger. While the concept little by-the-numbers because of this, the design itself is able to add some unique elements. For example, the anatomy is kept fairly stocky and the stripes are kept to a minimum instead of evenly covering the entire body, which keeps it from looking overly busy. There are also some lighter markings around the muzzle, eyes, ears, and paws, and the ears in particular are huge and have a distinct notched look that gives them some much needed flavor. Overall, they're pretty visually striking.
Color-wise, the base colours use one primary color and a light cream for accents, which compliments the main color without overpowering it. The stripes are dark blue, which keeps the contrast high but adds some degree of color, and the yellow eyes match the cream accents.
Kougras remained mostly untouched through customization; the design's the same, the art quality is the same, and the pose is similar to what's used in their circle art. It is a shame to loose the old happy pose though, which wasn't anything complex but added a fun bit of movement with it being in mid-step.
Favorite Colours:
Grey: I already touched on this one in my grey review so I won't repeat myself too much, but the UC/styled grey Kougra is just adorable with its droopy ears and slouched expression. While the colors are mostly grey, the contrast is dulled slightly to emphasize the grey-ness and there's a few red accents in areas like the eyes. The converted version, while blander in terms of pose, does at least work as a good base colour; though I do wonder why the changed the color of the nose and muzzle.
Tyrannian: The Kougra, being a large cat, adapts really well to the prehistoric look. It gains sabre-tooth cat canines, of course, but it also changes its patterning to have slightly bolder and more ragged stripes, which is emphasized by things like the eye markings also being jagged. Some giant fangs and a few black markings on the ears complete the high-contrast look.
Candy: Obviously the Neopet with prominent stripes had to be a swirled lollipop, but the execution is really good. The texture on this thing is amazing and perfectly captures the look of hard candy, while the colorful stripes are super fun and work really well with the white base. Somewhat usually, it keeps the indication of the cream markings but doesn't actually change the color at any point.
BONUS: The Maraquan Kougra is one of those Maraquan pets that just adapts the pet to sea life instead of basing it off of a real-life animal. Things like giving it a tail instead of hind legs are standard, but the fins and the additional striping on them add some nice touches to the design, as does the addition of claws. Both versions are good; the UC/styled has more personality, though if I'm being honest I never quite got why it looks confused.

Ghoul Bonding/Courting
This is just my headcanon on ghoul bonding, it may not match your own and my wording my be weird. I use the word 'mate' and 'suitor' interchangeably in here so sorry if it's confusing
Ghouls can bond with pretty much anyone that's at a sexual mature age AND IT HAS TO BE CONSENSUAL BETWEEN THE PAIRINGS. Ghouls can be either monogamous or polygamous. Ghoul's pick their mate and depending on the element depends on the courting rituals. Of course, if the partnership is between different elements, the courting rituals can be combined or adapted for other elements. Some examples of courting rituals can include.
Water ghouls bring their potential mates things such as shells, rocks, etc. Sometimes they form special clicks or whistles like dolphins or whales so they can identify each other in deeper or darker waters. With water ghouls in the pits relying on a seafood type of diet, expect to be given portions of a hunt.
Air ghouls court each other by taking care of each other like helping bathe, brushing hair, cleaning tails, etc. Of course there are air ghouls that sing to their potential mates. Air ghouls help preen and care for each other, even adding feathers from each other's tails to their hair.
Fire ghouls court each other by dancing, specifically fire dancing. They're big show offs and many take pride in their element. Another way they can court is gifting things that have been burnt. Fire ghouls sometimes will take pieces of wood and burn designs or patterns into it.
Earth ghouls often carve wood, make bouquets, grow plants, help provide with food or sustenance, anything really. Sometimes rival Earth ghouls will fight other ghouls for their suitor in a show of strength or to show dominance (like how bucks fight in the wild). Earth ghouls fighting for their suitor/mates are often bloody and violent so it's hard to break the fight up.
Quintessence ghouls are mysterious with their courtships. Usually it revolves around their magic and connection to their elements. Sometimes they can look at each other and just know that they want the other ghoul as their mate. However, a common trait is that Quintessence ghouls often visit their potential mate's dreams, help coerce the dream to be of what the potential mate wants/prefers or if they are having a nightmare, quintessence ghouls often get rid of the nightmare.
No matter the way the courtship is done, the mating/bonding itself drives more to their magic/spiritual ability. It's an almost impossible to break bond that connects souls together and magic abilities at times, so you may see one ghoul use a weaker version of their mate's element as magic (So maybe Swiss being able to grow smaller ferns to gift to Mountain for example. Wait did I just figure out how multi ghouls may have evolved into existence???). If the bond however is with a human, the magic is unbalanced and there are seemingly side effects to such a bond. There hasn't been enough human and ghoul pairings to fully study the potential side effects.

Seeing all the cool and incredible textile crafts that people are making has me wanting to get back into cross stitching. So I'm wondering - does anyone have any ideas of little designs I could do or adapt into a pattern, maybe on a tote bag or on some scattered pieces of aida that I have, that are TES related (preferably Skyrim, but ok with Oblivion + some ESO)?
I've done things such as the dark brotherhood handprint (and put it into a coaster, picture below - don't question that I didn't center it-!!!), for example, just something small like that ^-^

#meg is rambling#i might make a nightshade or moon related cross stitch coaster for use at work bc I spill so much coffee on my desk lol-#I'm wanting to do something small before I do something along the scales of my hermaeus mora or hold symbols cross stitches#i think i should also try to find a way to store them when done... a portfolio folder or something...........

Felix - Vedic Birth Chart Analysis
Per request I am working on doing all Stray Kid members. There is no birth time so in-depth predictions are impossible. Take it as entertainment.

This is using vedic so the placements will be in different signs than tropical.
Romantic Relationships:
In his Venus conjunct Mercury, Mercury holds the lowest degree emphasizing the importance of communication. Romance and love canât begin without good conversation. A woman canât just be pretty, she needs to be charming in a clever way to get his attention.
Virgo Venus is considered debilitated as Virgo doesnât allow Venus to express itself easily. Virgo Venus constantly looks for ways to perfect itself rather than enjoy itself. This can show Felix may seek perfection in himself and his partners. His Virgo Venus makes him very aware of everything that can go wrong in a relationship. He can be nit-picky and critical of relationships. This results in caution toward relationships which can lead to marrying at a later age than norm. Venus conjunct Mercury in Virgo indicates he may marry someone younger when heâs older. Nothing can be said for sure as we donât have his birth time - so without knowing house placements a lot of information is lost.
His spouse will be someone who is creative. Sheâll be adaptable and a quick learner. She may have quick wit too. She can definitely charm her way into getting what she wants. She may be a great writer as a hobby. She is highly logical - mind over heart type of person. She can ground him, she is the opposite of an enabler. She attempts to fix any issue he has without being asked. She may be dominating in marriage. She desires control - in marriage, she may take on managing their home/lives to feel secure.
She may be very active. Physically, she could be tall, lean and very youthful. She may be a performer herself in some way - acting, modelling, dancer, etc.
Venus in Chitra suggests his spouse may be interested in aesthetics and design. This could be career-wise like working in the fashion industry or as a hobby/personal interest.
Her bad trait may be that she is very judgemental/critical. She may be difficult to please as her attention to detail makes it easy for her to find flaws/problems.
Venus in Virgo opposite Pisces Moon - one way this placement manifests is encountering women who unfairly or harshly criticize him. He may have experiences with women who are insensitive to his feelings.
For example: Pisces Moons are very imaginative & often more sensitive than they appear. They can have escapist tendencies - finding solace in music, reading, film, gaming, etc. He may encounter a woman who see his hobbies as him being lazy or wasting his time. Virgo Venus conjunct Mercury shows his partners will not be shy to voice their criticism and opinions. The opposition suggests his partner may unintentionally belittle or hate on something that is deeply important to him.
He will be hurt by situations like this resulting in him becoming reserved and cold to her - even if it isnât the exact scenario given. Venus shows women and Moon shows mom so rather than experiencing this with a spouse it could be his mother or another woman in his life. It doesnât have to be a huge event in his life where heâs completely destroyed by it & the relationship has to end. It can be a small incident that sticks out in his memory or a reoccurring pattern in his life.
However, accuracy would be influenced by the entire chart. There is no birth time so in-depth predictions are impossible. Take it as entertainment.
Personality
Pisces Moon are very artistic and adaptable. This mutable nature can result in Felix trying out different roles in his career. He may later want to go beyond writing and singing/rapping - example: he could want to produce, direct, photography, fashion design, compose, act, play an instrument, etc.
The sextile to Jupiter in Taurus shows an abundance of creativity. His Pisces Moon is supported and protected by Taurus Jupiter. He is unlikely to fall into the negative sides of Pisces Moon like depression & addiction with Jupiterâs protection. Jupiter aspect from an earth sign gives him the ability to ground his imagination - make his ideas a reality. This is an excellent wealth indicator too.
He is likely very intuitive. He is naturally in-tune with other peopleâs feelings and intentions. Paired with his Virgo placements, he can be very observant and analytical. He can attempt to solve other peopleâs problems.
He may have negative experiences in giving/helping that result in him developing a reserved nature. Example: He feels used, he feels drained. Often this is a lesson pisces moons have to learn - not everyone in need deserves their energy/help.
In vedic, moon symbolizes the mom as well as our emotional self. Pisces Moon Opposite Mercury & Venus shows his mom way have a good eye for details. She could be very intelligent, organized and hardworking. Felix could have developed these traits from watching her. His family may motivate and push him to do better. They could have always had high expectations for him.

Judge Nyrizo Ryntura, Hexamania Purple Rangerđâď¸đđŚ
Power Rangers Hexamania - Kingohger Adaption
Here is the second king from Hexamania, our judge and lawmaker Nyrizo Ryntura. Who rules within the icy lands of the seasonâs setting. Like Rita, Nyrizo is nonbinary going by they/them and tends to keep to themselves when home but has a few hidden secrets, such as their love of things that are deemed adorable and preserving such as keeping up with historic logs and the well-being of the planet with lawsâŚbecause one mistake could topple the structure and leave their world in a mess devoid of enjoymentâŚand Nyrizo will do anything to prevent such a travesty. Nyrizo enjoys reading fairy tales and the legend of yetis that are said to live within the arctic plains of their kingdom.
Name-wise Rita's name is a combination the Japanese word for Blue Admiral butterfly (ăŤăŞăżăă Ruritateha), and its scientific name, Kaniska Canace. So here Nyrizo is derived from Nero, Isa, and Iris. Nero is the famous name of the emperor who ruled and destroyed Rome but also means black and in some context zero(a number without anything but holds high value since all things lead back to it, kind of like Rita's rule via their kingdom and planetary law). Isa is a name sometimes associated with Iron and salvation, ruling with an iron fist but also merciful to criminals. Iris is the type of butterfly the name comes from which is the purple emperor butterfly or Apatura iris. The last name Ryntura comes from Reyn meaning "rule", and Tura from Apatura itself
Their design takes some inspiration from cooler climate attire but also pays homage to Ritaâs in a few ways, the style here is based on a few attire examples from south/southeast Asian cultures, especially with the sashes and patterns along their top. Nyrizoâs fur coat is made of metallic-like fibers fit for enduring the cold on long mile trips but also can be used as defense against their enemies, when needed, Nyrizo can discard the coat temporarily to become more agile and dangerous in a fight as they are one of the more physically stronger members of the team. Nyrizo also loves children and adores seeing them around the kingdom but due to their public demeanor, most children end up getting scared.
