Afro-Magic Tip
When suspicious of malevolent powers working against you, or worried that your good fortune will soon reverse, chant, with feeling:
"Fool me one time, shame on you!
Fool me twice, can't put the blame on you!
Fool me three times, fuck the peace signs, load the chop and let it rain on you!"
Repeat as long as you wish.
I can explain why this occured to me, but you don't HAVE to read that part (it'll be in the reblogs, just check the notes)

Afro-Magic Tip
Using Your Ancestor's Potential
Look, an unfortunate fact is that a lot of potential went wasted due to white colonialism.
If we didn't die as slaves, we died trying to stop ourselves and others from becoming slaves. We died trying to protect our lands. We died trying to heal ourselves from the diseases they brought to us. We died trying to gain equality once they suceeded in taking us over. And today we still die.
Black people as a race have a LOT of untapped potential. Think of what all we could have done, what all we could BE had it not been for the atrocities that were committed against us.
I know you're sad. And I know you're angry. But think for a minute: our ancestors must be PISSED.
Think of how many Black people were working on a railroad till they died, that wanted to study the stars. Think of how many wanted to be athletes. Think of how many wanted to be artists.
If you're in need, call upon them. I'm Black and studying Physics. I WELCOME any Black spirit that died before they could formally study to lend me their brainpower. If you're an athlete, call upon their strength and let that power into your own body. If you're a singer, call upon the thousands that would sing in the fields.
Too damn many of us leave this earth feeling unfulfilled. WE, the living, have an opportunity to help them participate once again in their true talents.
Also, don't be a taker. If you borrow from the ancestors, find a way to honor them as well. Whatever that process may be for you
