hi, this question has been on my mind like FOREVER, but since the beginning of it all (2020) and when i started finding out the sub divergent of each solo fandom for the boys, i always wondered, what made the solo harries so toxic, obviously not ALL of them but its alot, like what drove them to be this way? I mean theres little pockets of toxic goop in every fandom probably everywhere but why... are there so many in harry's fandom i've always wonderd that like i honestly wish we had an in-depth study of like why they are like they are, im getting all psychological over here but.... thank you if you can answer my question
i come with peace! and a gift!
Tumblr media
have a good day!
all the love, louiscarrotsxoxo
Hi Love!!
I’m honestly not sure what it is that specifically makes some of the Harries quite so…toxic. Sometimes I think that it’s just that as Harry’s gotten more “mainstream”, he’s attracted fans who were not fans of 1D / don’t know the other boys, and so there may be a little bit of that. It is interesting though, that the fans of the artist who promotes Treat People With Kindness are often the ones who are negative, especially online. Of course, that’s not true of all of them- but the fans I met at my Harry concert overall seemed less welcoming than the fans I met at my Louis concert recently.
Basically; I wish I had an answer! I’m sure there’s lots of varying answers to the “why”- and normally I just try and spread as much kindness and joy to those I interact with as possible, regardless of what aspect of this fandom they might be part of 🤷‍♀️

unrelated but how do you as a writer like REALLY get in ur element and focus, because im pretty sure i have adhd and it makes it hard to focus and everything i try besides classical music (sometimes) doesnt work
and my second question how do you get people to view your work/participate in it, i've been writing for 3 years in the fandom and a few people notice, and i know im supposed 2 be writing just for myself and i am, but i wanted it to kind of be a whole family thing like everyone being excited for updates and its a whole thing... idk if maybe no one cares anymore or no one really knows me
anyways sorry for my REALLY long winded ask, tysm if you read it
Tumblr media
also here's this larry gif for you're troubles
all the love, louiscarrotsxoxo
hey!
thank you for reaching out and asking me this! I'm going to try my hardest to answer the best that I can (I thought I'd answer it before I left so I could help <3)
Getting focused and into the element
So I have ADHD as well and I know that getting focused can be tricky. Things that I do/have to help keep me focused are:
Writing Sprints - I sprint in Discord Servers with my friends and we all keep each other motivated and encourage each other
Discord Servers - So I'm in some really wonderful servers where we're all happy to cheer each other on writing wise (I'm going to link them in another part)
Inspiration- So, for most of my fics, I have a playlist that suits the theme and I try my hardest to make moodboards for them to get the feel of the fic. I'll also plan dialogue or even the layouts of flats/houses so I feel inspired to write about them.
I asked some friends in my Discord Server for help as well and this was their responss:
@chai-hat-tea said:
I don’t know about others, but usually having a deadline freaks me out enough to make me wanna complete my fic, even if it’s on the day of posting. And for that, I join fic fests. How that also helps me is because I also tend to tell myself that I owe it to the mod to complete the fic or else they’ll feel disappointed (and not tell me), so for their sake I need to complete fics. Joining fic fests also helps in the viewership of your fic, so once you have participated in a few fests, you might find it easier to build a somewhat decent enough crowd that enjoy your writing and want to read your stories. So once that happens, you can plan a long chaptered fic and then post chapters as and when you’re done and ready. So then you can guilt trip yourself by saying that now you have those people who are waiting for your story and you delaying is just making them wait longer and feel more disappointed lol
@loveislarryislove added:
Yeah I think a lot of it is building community, to pump you up or keep you accountable or help circulate things etc.
Getting people to view your work/participate in it
The first thing I'd like to say here is that you shouldn't define your work by statistics/interactions (a bit like what you said). Having said that, there are a few ways to try and increase your circle:
Make mutuals - There are some amazing people on this site who go out of their way to support each other. Try and get to know new people and interact with them.
Join Discord Servers - The servers I am currently in are amazing servers. My two main ones are @1d-library (ran by @larrysballetslippers and @larry-hiatus ) and @new-writers-discord (ran by me, @red-pandaaa @larrysballetslippers @hellolovers13 @babyhoneyheslt and @rockstarlwt28 ). 1D Library is a place for readers and writers to hangout, discuss fics, writing or day to day life. The New Writers Discord is a recent Discord server where we have New Writers, Writers and Mentors who write all types of stories (fics, original works, etc.). We have sprinting parties, workshops and are always there to help if need be.
Tagging Systems - this post contains all the tracked 1D tags where certain accounts will reblog posts with those tags. This is extremely useful for people who make things in the fandom.
Have fun - Try and enjoy yourself in the process. Interact with new people and make friends, create things for yourself as well as others.
I really hope this helps! I am not going to be online after today, but if you do have any more questions, feel free to email me on [email protected].
(and I love that gif 💕)

hi, ive been writing for 3 years in the same fandom since i was an early teen (16 now almost 17) and there's times i just feel like its the end of an era when i hit a roadblock and maybe im just being dramatic
i just need advice for working on multiple projects at once im juggling my current WIP, one i really wanna do, an idea thats floating around my brain that literallY WONT leave me alone and just begs me to plot out the entire thing and interrupt like all of the other WIPs and then my old WIP that i stopped for my old old WIP that i stopped for my current WIP
im sorry if none of this makes sense
its just a chain of events
first WIP - i write some of it
new idea comes along/ i still need to finish this PAUSE new wip
new wip again pausing work i still need to finish wip
writing another fic on the side for when after i finish that one so im not ending on a clean slate but also hate starting out pausing and starting agan bc i magically feel like my writing will feel different/ i'll level up and acquire new skills and i'll feel the urge to rewrite it
and then another kind of passion project thing that kinda came out of no where that my brain is begging me to plot out when i JUST started a side WIP for the one im almost done with and planning a sequel for that... while wanting to go back to my orginal first WIP but its just getting left behind in this race of which WIP grabs my attention
its like i wanna write all of them at the same time but for the life of me i CANT devise a system where all of them get equal attention
but my real question is how to deal with writing multiple works at a time or deciding which ones to write first
tysm if you answer this
all the love, louiscarrotsxoxo
Honestly, as someone who consistently has at least 6-10 WIPs I'm working on at a time, I feel this so much xD there are days I get over 5 ideas that I get passionate about.
So what I do personally is I just go with what is pulling me the most. Go with what I'm feeling the most passion toward at the moment. The only issue is that I'm a person that frequently loses fire if I don't work on something or talk about it often enough.
One way I'd recommend to combat this would be to talk about a WIP you're not working on with someone (or post about it on your blog) while you work on the other WIP(s). That can keep your fire burning while you're working on something else.
Otherwise, you can always have multiple docs open at once (depending on how you write) and just work on multiple literally at the same time. It's hard to really give advice on this, because it just depends on how your brain works and I'm neurodivergent so what works for me won't necessarily work for everyone.
Good luck and sorry for the slow reply! Thank you for being so patient.

hi everyone! i just wanted to tell you i'm working on a prequel for my new story "the secret charm" i dont know quite yet when it will be released but i will definitely let you all know
also yall want a snippet here's a snippet for you lovelies!
~~~~
Control, he repeated, his words like an everlasting promise to himself and to his king. It was almost amusing to Harry, the one thing he sought to gain was the thing he couldn’t possess at this time. He was simply a puppet in the hands of the puppet master, a diamond yet to be formed from the beauty of the gracious but mounting pressure that made it shine.
But soon he would shine, under the watchful eyes of his kingdom and those all across the land. Harry promised he would shine, only to be crushed by the pressure.
~~~~
so what do you guys think, I'm in the early stages and i'm about halfway through writing the chapter! I'll share more later, and once I'm done editing the prequel and writing it i WILL release it, then after a few weeks the first few chapters of the secret charm.
please be patient with me, as i always say good content takes time! <3
ALL THE LOVE, Louiscarrotsxoxo
spreading SOOOO much love

blue ice | chapter five: kill my mind

CHAPTER FIVE: KILL MY MIND
❃゜・。. ・°゜✼ ゜°・ . 。・゜❃
Tumblr media
Harry
Through his lips electricity surged through my soul.
The kiss was eccentric as we collided against each other in the most perfect way I couldn’t explain. It made my brain melt into mush and my body crave it constantly as the seconds went on and our bodies moved against each other. And it felt endlessly wrong to extends higher than the skies above, but we just couldn’t seem to tear away.
Our lips moved like running water against rocks in a rushing stream, desperate to reach the end, the fall. The serenity and the peace within our heated kiss made my head spin and my body react strangely as I quickly became addicted.
His lips made me intoxicated and dizzy as my body fought for air between our lips colliding over and over and over. My mind was running wild with a million thoughts a minute, why and how was this happening I thought?
I didn’t know what could have happened next, only in this moment my mind erupted with want and a prying essence of new feelings pouring out of my heart and searing their way onto his cherry red lips. His breath fanned over me as I felt him shake his head, denying what had already been done and fated as a spark erupted in the both of us.
I pulled him closer to me as I whispered sweet nothings, a tender moment after a clandestine kiss.
The look in Louis’ eyes screamed a version of a terror dream I could never comprehend, or perhaps it was a nightmare. Perhaps I would never know I repeated to myself as I tried to make sense of it all.
Louis stumbled backwards, creating space between us as our eyebrows furrowed. After such a heated kiss space was usually not needed, yet he couldn’t feel more far away than now.
He ran his hands through his hair as his eyes rushed red as a vein popped out from the skin of his forehead, almost seeming angry but at himself and the world as I observed it all from a close distance. Not knowing what to do at all in this strange moment where everything felt as if was all a dream. Floating in a reality that was artificial, but potent and raw like the feeling of the sun encasing your body with bright joy and erupting fireworks of fantastically fascinating fantasies.
“Fuck- Harry that shouldn’t have happened.” He said as his voice was strained with worry as he looked around frantically searching for an answer as none seemed to be known to him or I or the space around us.
After an eternity the elevator opens, and Juniper greets us at the door as she stands in shock as if she saw through the entire scene of Louis and I locking lips as my cheeks flush in embarrassment.
“Did you see that?” I asked whisper quiet, barely audible only for Juniper, Louis, and I to hear in the empty hallway as our voices echoed in the empty hallway like a ghost town.
“Oh, only all of it.” She spoke casually with sarcasm laced in her words like an addictive drug. My eyes widened as my mind raced to an invisible deadline that was nowhere in sight, and the thought was terrifying.
Overwhelming feelings cascade over me like a waterfall of bright colors, mixed together and creating new emotions that can’t find their way to untangle with each other. As if they’re meant to be forever intertwined, but in the mix of dark and light in my mind, there is no clear answer, there is no clear ending and beginning, only existing, only forward on.
“Harry?” Louis asks quietly, only audible to my ears as if he was a heartbeat away, my eyes focused on him as he dwindled his fingers as his eyes twinkled with crystal light.
And as clear as his ocean was, it was rocky with thunderous storms coating the entire sea.
And I was trapped directly in the middle of it all.
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Louis
As I come to the sense of reality is real and all of this isn’t some distinct cruel dream that I’ve been forced to believe is law; I come to realize my feelings for Harry are more than I thought they ever were before.
And forevermore they give me a light feeling as if I was flying, but I have no clue if they are here to stay, but the flutter in my heart begins to say otherwise.
My heart beats wildly as Juniper Harry and I all sit on the couch cushions of our overgrown hotel room that’s a mix between a deluxe suite and an apartment.
Rain beats down on the land below of Lythorn as thunder booms and crackles mercilessly on every living person in this town, and even the dead.
Only the glow of the TV creates a background noise in the back of my head as I look to Harry in the silence, unsure of what to say.
Juniper looked to us as she left the room cautiously as I pondered to where she was going. But alas only time could tell the tales long forgotten.
Suddenly, a new though plots its way into my brain as I’m trapped in a never-ending reality of scattered thoughts and the only calm in the storm seems to be the emerald in Harry’s green eyes.
“Yeah?” Harry finally answers as I look to him with a raging storm in my eyes. Unable to control the next moment, swept up in the strong current that kept me fighting for air in the headspace that I was in.
“When we kissed, did you feel anything?” I asked quaintly as Harry looked to the floor for a moment as the small flame in my heart began to fizzle out as I felt shame after the words I was dying to say went clumsily past my lips. In only a whisper.
“I felt something Louis, I did. Once I kissed you, I couldn’t stop.” Harry admitted truthfully as I blushed wildly at his confession.
But alas, all of this felt so wrong, with Milo being none the wiser that I had gotten myself into a strange English love affair that seemed to weave its way between my heartstrings.
But, with Harry everything felt oddly strange, of course, forbidden but, as if it was meant to be. Something in me compelled it to be truth, to be law, tangible and palpable.
“Harry, there’s something between us, and I don’t know what, but whatever it is, it’s dangerous. The second I threw my thoughts out the window when I kissed you is when I knew I couldn’t avoid it anymore.” I confessed as I looked into his eyes as we sat in the quiet pale dim light of the lamp next to the hotel living room couch.
Harry swallowed heavily before he said another word, inching closer but still worlds away from the final ending. My lips almost itched to be on his again, his warm body against mine is what I craved.
Then, it struck me like lightning in a sea storm.
My feelings for Milo didn’t even compare to what a relevance, an enchantment Harry’s aura had swarmed me in. It all felt so surreal, but I knew there was no going back from this.
And I wouldn’t ever want to.
“Well that dangerous, is addictive Louis, and I think that I like you.” Harry spoke quietly as he leaned his face closer to mine with a hushed whisper tucking in between his strawberry red lips as his breath fanned in my face.
His innocent smile paired with the flirty aura dancing around us like sugar canes in a children’s Christmas daydream had my head beginning to spin. Though I’d soon be coming down to earth as I looked into Harry’s eyes without saying a single word.
Not a single breath left my body as I discovered what I already knew.
That was then, I knew.
“I think I like you too, Harry.” I said as I tasted his name on my lips as I’d quickly rather the taste of his on mine.
As my body inched closer to his innocent sparks flew around us as they lit up a fire deep inside us that raged and demanded to be set free from its cages.
And as soon as the fire could be set, it came alive with the touch of his hands against mine. Our fingers intertwined as they spread and planted deep roots in our souls like trees in a dark forest. His anchor tattoo intertwined with my ropes as our souls tied together in this dangerous dance amongst the fires of forbidden things never to touch the surface of the pure and iridescent.
“Louis?” Harry questioned, his deep voice echoing the hotel room as my ears perked up at the sound of his gravely tone.
“Yes?” I reply mischievously with a hint of something indescribable in my eyes as I looked towards him. Dark swirls of emotion cascade into my bloodstream and present themselves through my senses as everything seems to have a hazy rose-colored hue over it.
“Kiss me.” He whispers in one breath quickly as he does a onceover of me and the remainder of the room.
“This feels so horribly wrong, but I couldn’t care.” I replied back to him as my self conscious was already weighing the options, but the grief and guilt I would carry for this was already worlds heavier.
I looked into his eyes as the amber-colored light set everything alive as the skies turned a stormy blue as thunder roared and shook the building and my soul to its core.
His lips met mine with a fury light brighter than the lights when you met heaven, and darker than the blood curdling red that is described as hells unwelcoming home.
Our lips glided against each other like a skier on a slippery winter’s slope. My body melted against his as I found myself on top of him, hands intertwined and so were our souls.
A rainbow of emotion busted from the deep depths of my stomach as it kept my body aflutter and floating around this heavenly feeling that had covered me in an ivy like substance, spreading deep and searing into our kiss.
And the ivy was Harry, it was Harry.
I grabbed his face gingerly as his mouth opened gradually to meet my awaiting tongue as it slipped dangerously and slowly into his mouth as I explored it, claiming every territory as if it was my own.
His strong fame incased my smaller body as if his heart was destined to fit in mine.
“L-Lou, fuck that was good. Really good.” Harry said gasping for air as I looked to where his body and mine connected as I was straddling him on top of his lap.
He sat up leaning against his palms on the couch as I ran a hand through my hair as we sat quietly. Blushing and simply wondering what this whole ordeal would turn into. A flame incased my heart, not daring to burn or to spread, just to fuel the fire that Harry had set inside of me.
Harry smirked at me infamously as he looked to me happily as if I was the sun, incasing the whole sky as the biggest star.
And maybe, I was, maybe... I could be.
This was the very first page of something unknown, and Harry had written it, deep in the depths of oceans of romance and clandestine forbidden love. And maybe I could discover the unknow, with Harry.
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
I sat on my bed quietly after the confusing aura around the universe had left. As usual I watched the news as they continued to update the public about the case.
I watched as my eyes flickered around the room for something to fill the time. Eventually I laid down on the bed fully from my supine position and ran a hand through my hair as I found myself here, in the silence alone.
I pondered to how Juniper and I would continue the case as new evidence seemed to present itself in my brain as I was sitting in silence.
I hoped that we would find a lead suspect by now, but unfortunately it almost feels like we’re running in circles with each lead we get. Though hopefully with my lead about the brambleberry bush and Erika’s killer knowing of her identity before she was murdered would eventually lead to something.
I furrowed my eyebrows as I continued to chase my wild thought as I had nothing better to do except think of how we would eventually solve this case.
But it didn’t make any sense, how would her killer even though she was in the forest that afternoon, unless she was lead, or.. someone was with her.
A new possibility opened as I continued my thought as my mind and heart raced as I could be on to something! At least, I hoped that I was.
I grabbed my investigator notepad that I carried around to jot down important things about suspects or leads in cases. I looked to the pen and paper as my mind roared to life like a car in dormant rest in a Nasar race. Ready to race to the finish line, to the conclusion of the murder.
It would make sense that someone could have been with Erika that day, there had to be, and where there’s someone else, there’s witnesses.. and there’s a lead.
I pondered to whom, and what they could have done with that information that Erika was no longer alive. Or they could have killed her themselves, if they were the person responsible for her death, this could be a major lead in the case!
Suddenly my ears perked up at the sound of a breaking news story. I wondered what it could be as I sat up slowly to look to the TV as the newsman spoke carefully at the new information.
“Breaking news, boyfriend of slain Erika Blokes is admitted to the Lythorn Police Office, insiders say that he could be involved with Erika’s murder. Police Chief Liam Payne says top detective and investigator on the case are to meet with the suspect in question at the department headquarters later today, back to you.” The newsman concluded as I shut off the tv as my phone rang not a moment later, in no doubt it was the chief calling us in.
I picked up the phone with no haste as Liam’s voice echoed on the other end of the phone as Juniper knocked on my door quietly as she stepped in to hear the important phone call.
She smiled to me as Chief Payne disclosed the important information that we would need before heading over to the station.
“Tomlinson, we’ve got Erika’s ex-boyfriend Jake Collins, he claims he was at the crime scene when she was killed. I’m gonna need you and Young to get over here quickly. By the looks of it, kids’ a mess, I think you may be able to milk a confession outta him.” Liam spoke in a serious tone as I nodded as another officer at the police department was on the phone with Juniper as well as we both ended our calls. We looked to each other for a quick moment as we both know what we had to accomplish. Though I couldn’t believe I was spot on! I shrugged my shoulders excitedly as I was already hyped up to know more information on this lead we had. Though now I could be confident the case would go more smoothly than I thought.
Though Anna’s case still had to be considered, because it was linked with her sisters whatever information we would get from this would most likely carry over to her ‘mysterious’ disappearance. Though I still believe that there was more to what happened to Anna that day. And hopefully, she truly hadn’t suffered the same fate as her sister, after all.
Their mother had mentioned that Erika had went on about looking for Anna, and she still had hope that she could still be alive, even after all of these years. Anna most likely had been lured, and unfortunately by my beliefs, so was her sister.
Though setting up the case for a major turn new information would most definitely have an impact on the final verdict. Though it’s far from over.
We’re just getting started
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Juniper
The car ride to the station was quick, the sun setting swiftly in the sky as it almost looked as if we were chasing it as we were chasing the traffic to the department. Desperate to get the reigns on this new lead in the case that had already run rapid out of control thanks to the news coverage.
I looked to Louis as my words were caught in my throat as he kept his hands firm on the steering wheel, though wearing a small smile on his face from his ‘earlier’ endeavors. I rolled my eyes at that thought but smiled just the same.
I couldn’t be the one to bring it up to him, but whether he likes it or not I couldn’t pretend I didn’t hear what I heard back at the hotel between Harry and him. Though nonetheless Milo always seemed eerie towards Louis ever since I had known him. Always so far but never close enough. As if he never had a grasp on what he truly wanted. All those years Louis pondered, and wondered what the relationship was to blossom into with the days, weeks, months and years to become. But I wasn’t sure if they ever amounted to anything, and neither did Louis.
Though the seemingly blooming feelings that were blown around in the airs of caution almost seemed to be a seedling of something to be, and what could be. I couldn’t deny that Louis’ feelings for Milo were always so strong, but now it seems like Luis would reflect on all that wasted time, and decided to start anew.
Time could not tell this curious tale, only heart, truth and an aura of something simpler, something wiser, something purer would come to pass.
Louis pulled into the station quickly as news anchors were already swarming the building as it made it difficult to actually get into the police station without running into unknown people at the Lythorn news department.
One thing I had noticed about the people of Lythorn, was that they were always attentive to what mattered, always searching for more information as it came to them. They were always lusting for more, and more had come... with the new light of the case.
“What is going on?!” A newscaster asked as many more began barking inaudible questions at us as we began to get out of the car and attempt to go into the police station. Despite the madness, the chief of police and officer Horan walked out of the station and escorted us into the building amid all of the newspeople’s allegations and looming questions.
“At this time the case is still pending, we think we may have the suspect in question, but we won’t releasing any names since he is a minor.” I concluded as the newspeople began shoving more microphones towards us as Louis waved them off and refused to answer any of their many questions casually.
“Louis why aren’t you telling them anything?!” I questioned confusingly as Louis stopped in his tracks and turned around to face the looming questions that were yet to be answered.
The cloudy grey skies that surely loomed a storm could not match the look in Louis’ eyes at this moment. He looked to me in indescribable way as he went out of his way to answer the questions quickly before going inside.
“Just wanna be sure before we tell the public anything June-bug, I feel like we’ve got it, and I don’t want to mess it up.” Louis nodded solemnly as I shook my head with understanding.
“We’ll get this Louis, don’t worry.” I said comfortingly as he smiled to me and embraced me in a quick hug as we both went inside.
“So, what’s it looking like Officer.” Louis nodded to Niall as he began to speak on the outlook on the situation with the kid.
“Kid’s a wreck; said he’s ready to confess to whatever you tell ‘em. Don’t know what the hell’s going on in that kid’s brain but he’s properly petrified.” Niall nodded as he sipped his coffee as he picked it up off his desk with the label ‘HORAN’ on it as I took note of it.
“Well Niall how would you fell if you’re girlfriend got murdered and you spoke up about it and police want to haul you into the station?” I questioned playfully as Niall shrugged and lead us further into the station we saw when we first got into Lythorn.
I thought back to that very first day we passed the ‘welcome to Lythorn’ sign, it felt like forever ago in retrospect. But I couldn’t decide whether whatever was going to happen next would have a major impact on our lives moving forward. But however it turned out I knew that we would definitely remember this for a long time going forward. But there’s much more road to cover in this case, but there’s only so much you can go from without running into a dead end.
All this time we’ve been searching for an answer, but I knew that the answer would come in riddles we’d have to decipher. And right now, the road to hope was running short.
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
As time went on, we patiently awaited the arrival of the conclusion to the final question of the day. Whether or not Jake Collins killed Erika Blokes. Or what does Anna’s disappearance have to do with it all.
Or possibly, I pondered, could she never be dead at all? What if she was alive all this time and we had it all wrong? After all that has happened so far, I wasn’t ruling anything out until we had a sure answer and every possibility of a doubt was buried and set in stone to make no return to the case.
Though one thing still left my heart aflutter, and my brain ablaze, if Jake had truly killed Erika, what reason could he possibly have to do that? It made no sense, though the theory I had was merely circumstantial, something told me that he hadn’t done it, but I couldn’t be sure until we had questioned him.
Erika’s killer knew of her before she was killed, or else she wouldn’t have been in the brambleberry thicket that afternoon. Perhaps she was chased? I wondered, or led, my brain continued on to make a multitude of conclusions inside of my head that could eventually come to pass.. but I would never know if they would after all.
“Louis, Juniper, Mr. Collins is in room 2B, I’ll be accompanying you into the room. He isn’t being held on any charges, this is just a meeting between us and him to get some information, go easy on him.” A unknown but seemingly familiar voice said wearyingly, I turned to the direction of the voice, desperate to the answers buzzing around my head in nonstop motion. I looked at the features across her face, Aurora. I had known her well as a smile etched upon my face at her presence, she smiled to us as Louis ran over and gave her a hug before she led us to the room Jake was no doubt to be in.
“Rory, how are you love?” Louis said excitedly as she giggled quietly as she was embraced in his warm hold. They broke apart quickly as they both realized there was more work to be done. But that couldn’t stop a small smile from creeping on my face slowly seeing the both of them so filled with joy.
The story of Louis and Aurora is sweet with a bittersweet twist of an ending, as far as I remember Aurora had moved in with Louis’ family early in their relationship, after a mysterious fire committed by an arsonist that was driving the city of Doncaster rampant. Then not soon after the two became quickly bonded like siblings but as they drifted into their college years, moreover when Louis and Milo began their premature romance the spark between Aurora and Louis faded out into a darkness of unexplainable proportions.
Suddenly, one night Aurora had mysteriously flown out of the city of Doncaster in search of bigger things that were unknown to all of us. To this day I still wonder where she went or what she could have been up too during that time, though the tale has told itself now that she is present and back again in our hearts and minds.
“I’m wonderful Lou! Now, we can talk all about this later, there’s a possible murderer waiting in room 2B!” Aurora rushed in all seriousness with a mix of playful tone in her voice as we both descended down the dark hallway.
I looked to the fading sun as it dipped down in the sky over the horizon while warm colors left a temptation for warmer weather as it left many of us to wonder when the sun would rise up again, would we rise to the challenge to complete the deep depths of this case.
Or would we sink to the bottom, cold, forgotten and completely out of options.

The cold interlude of the examining room stands to reason why Jake Collins was absolutely terrified of the people facing him on the opposite side of the room.
He almost felt as if he was bait for sharks, the case of his late girlfriends sister hadn’t gone on for years, as soon as they found a single piece of evidence that could stand to reason for the crime. He knew they would act fast to solve it.
And he was their bait, he was their target.
At least, it illuded to be as such, but all would be revealed as he began to give more information to the rather short investigator and detective duo sitting across from him.
“We’re just here to ask you a few questions lad, tell me what did you see that day?” Louis asked Jake quietly as he looked around the room, avoiding the handsome investigator’s eyes and glance, afraid of what might be lying under his ocean eyes. Could it be evil, or magic? Jake whispered to himself as his mind created delusions that he couldn’t tell apart from reality.
And with his body spinning out of control, Jake tried to gain sense of it all. After all, he wouldn’t want Erika to die in vain, so he did what anyone else would do.
He looked him in the eye and sold his soul.
To whatever forces were above, he hoped his information would help catch the killer who took Erika from Jake.
Who took Erika from everyone?
“Erika had said she seen a shadow as we were walking. And I shook off the eerie feeling because it was still daylight, though walking in the historian’s brambleberry thicket wasn’t such a good idea. But we were hopeful, until they appeared out of nowhere.” Jake spoke quietly as Aurora entered all the information he was revealing to them into the filing system for the Lythorn police department.
“They? Did you see their face?” Louis questioned as Jake nodded his head with a no, he continued on the story he had memorized ever since that day, hoping he wouldn’t lose the reigns on the memory just yet.
He couldn’t let it fade, not ever.
“No, but Erika was searching for her sister Anna. She was still hopeful that she was alive, that was why we were there that day, investigator.” Jake gulped quietly as he felt a heavyweight upon his shoulders for something he thought would be easy. But as it came to pass, nothing was ever easy in the sights of a cold case turned reopened murder investigation.
“We were planning to run away together to find her, because there’s this rumored old village linked to the town off shore of the river. But you can’t ever see it because its deep on some sort of island off shore. And it’s always raining so… the fog covers it.” Jake continued as Juniper and Louis nodded as they continued to intake the information.
“She was really deadest on finding her sister?” Juniper asked as Jake nodded with certainty.
“She was, she had almost driven herself mad about it. She created all these theories and ideas of how the police went wrong. She really had hope when she discovered you two were being added to the investigation of her sisters case. She wanted to help, that’s why we had went to search for her. Because Erika, Anna and I had always played in those woods when we were little kids. But never this deep into it, as we were.” Jake continued as Louis looked to Juniper suspiciously at his choice of words.
“Driven mad, you say? So... she was driven mad about her sister being gone and you two were driven mad about running away together, why were you ever going to do that?” Louis questioned as he furrowed his eyebrows at the teen sitting across from him.
As the light shone on his eyes, he looked as if he was a deer caught in headlights. Jake’s mouth went slack, as if he was at a loss for words.
“Because I didn’t want her to go alone. And there’s too many memories of this old town and bad things happening to good people. Neither of us could take it any longer, and now look what’s happened.” Jake spoke defeatedly as he held his head in his hands.
Louis and Juniper both looked to each other. As the sun set on this conundrum of a day, there was only one thing for certain in this world.
They now knew who the killer was.
And it couldn’t have been Jake.
But mysteries loom where madness and curiosity begin to fill in the blanks, so as more information is revealed. The more the both of them begin to suspect the true answer was in front of them all along.

After the examination with Jake, Louis drove Juniper and himself back to the hotel. The city lights at night created a perfect scenery for a picturesque dream. Though the events of today only added up to nothing short of an absolute nightmare.
But it was real, and there was no escaping it.
“So... Louis?” Juniper questioned quietly with a hint of something mischievous in her voice, but it was hidden between bookends of something more. Something pure, something iridescent was in the air, was it love? Was it trust?
It wasn’t to be known what was in the air, but to who was spreading the toxin, the antidote, and the sickness to all of this confusion that loomed in the streets of Lythorn. All of the chaos, all of the history and all of the new blood incased in a messy murder cased seemingly turned bad.
“Yes June-bug?” Louis questioned carefully as he kept his eyes on the road, seeing the blue moon hotel in plain sight as the traffic began to ease up and become lighter as Louis’ car raced down the streets towards home.
A temporary home, at least.
“Do you like Harry?” Juniper finally revealed as Louis looked to her with an offended look on his face.
“Why would you ask that, June we’re in the middle of a murder case and you’re asking me if I like fucking Harry love! Jesus!” Louis said defensively as he simply refused to answer the question at this time.
Why were his feelings for Harry important anyway? He questioned quietly to himself. Though he couldn’t deny the way his heart seemed to fit perfectly in his hands was all he ever searched for, and all he ever wanted.
But he couldn’t be drawn to him, could he?
“Tommo answer the question you wank!” Juniper said immaturely as she hit his shoulder lightly and playfully as he continued to drive through the traffic.
Louis rolled his eyes and let out a string of curse words before finally answering with a small yes, that could barely be heard audibly over the traffic.
“I knew it,” Juniper said accomplishedly “you thought I didn’t hear you guys making out in there, you practically forgot we’re in the same hotel room Louis! Walls are thin you know.” Juniper said with a smirk as Louis licked his lips at looked to her for a split second before stroking his chin and looking back to the traffic.
“But, in all seriousness darling it feels so wrong. But I can’t help but want him, it’s impossible!” Louis admitted as silence fell over the both of them.
“But you and Milo Louis, I mean you know how he is, you two just..” Juniper started as her sentence fizzled out into a little over nothing as Louis nodded in understanding.
“I know, we’ve been on and off for years and I just feel like he doesn’t want what I want. Relationships are all about love and trust and it all just feels so artificial, why can’t it feel the same as Harry an I do? Am I the problem?” Louis voiced sincerely as Juniper shook her head and dismissed him.
“No... it’s just, you and Milo are just strange together you know? And for years you’ve been trying to make it work but he just keeps tearing it down, I know how hard you’ve worked Louis, I just don’t think it’s built to last.” Juniper voiced solemnly as Louis nodded finally, in defeat.
“I feel like a dirty cheater, well that’s because I am. I’ve always felt safe with Milo, I’ve just never wanted anything else, and now Harry is here and he’s making me feel shit! Dammit!” Louis said as he held his head in his hands at the stop light as I hugged him sincerely as we shared a moment together.
“Don’t you remember when Milo allegedly had that fling with that girl when you guys were on a ‘trial’ breakup senior year of high school? Isn’t that how you feel right now?” Juniper asked in all seriousness as Louis’ eyes widened in understanding.
Now he finally knew.
“I still don’t believe that, it’s bullshit, just some stunt to bring his football career down, you know she was spying with our rival back then.” Louis mentioned playfully as Juniper hit him on the shoulder again as Louis let out a laugh at their silliness on the drive back to the hotel.
Suddenly, Louis’ phone rang in the silence as he fumbled to get it out of his pocket as traffic picked back up. Juniper watched as Louis attempted to reach it as it bounced off the dash and onto the floor mats as she let out a horrendously loud laugh at his attempt.
“Oh shuddup, you couldn’t have done better, will you get it for me, hurry before it stops ringing!” Louis voiced quickly as Juniper bent down to pick it up before the ringing stopped and the call went to voicemail.
“It’s the chief of the Doncaster PD.” Juniper voiced confusingly as she picked up the call nonetheless as she pressed the button as she held it up to her ear as Louis continued to drive, being mindful of her facial expressions giving clues to the details of the call.
“Okay, bye.” Juniper said quickly before she hung up the call, all color drained from her face as she looked to Louis, all words seeming meaningless as she discovered there was no more hope, no longer, not a drop in her spirit.
“Louis, Milo’s dead.” She said finally, before Louis pumped the breaks in the hotel parking lot.
It felt almost as if the world stopped spinning.
A/N: ABSOLUETLY GUTWRENCHING ENDING, cliff hanger as well also, Hehe.
#queen of cliff hangers
Besides that, VERY long chapter, how does everyone like Blue ice so far? Let me know what you think in the comments!
What do you think of Louis’ and Juniper’s friendship? I absolutely love it, and Larry’s newfound relationship suddenly blooming into something more.
Not to mention the new details of what REALLY happened to Erika Blokes that day.
But overall, how was the chapter?
Gentle reminder, there are FIVE chapters left to this epic conclusion of a short story.
What could there be in store more for the Lythorn police department? Or the history of Lythorn?
Could it finally go up in shambles? Or will the investigator and detective duo rise it out of the ashes?
as always comment your theories and predictions!
All the love, Louiscarrotsxoxo

CHAPTER FOUR: GOLDEN AFTERGLOW, DARK SHADOWS
❃゜・。. ・°゜✼ ゜°・ . 。・゜❃
Author
The coldsnap of mid december in has each and every Lythorian pacing around wondering what the circumstances of their situation has next for them. However, Louis Tomlinson is just about to become a dangerous monster on the prowl, ready to pounce on the next shadow of a doubt on the case.
The crime scene photos were one of the only pieces of evidence that could continue the case and prove what happened to Anna all those years ago. But Louis refused to believe the circumstances of the case. Because the conclusion that the LPD had come up with when Anna had disappeared had made no sense at all, and to this very day, it still didn't.
She couldn't be dead; she just couldn't be. Louis' mind continued to repeat, his thoughts bouncing off the walls of doubts and questionable trepidation.
The police had never found her body from all those years ago, yet only pieces of her were to remain even if she was no longer here. But Louis' mind dared to believe otherwise.
Her sister, Erika Blokes apparently died of an allergy to the brambleberry bushes scatterd haphazardly all over the forest her killer had captured her in.
Though the reason for her being in that forest, almost seemed like no accident. Though being chased into the melancholic sunset with aurelic colors transcending from the sky against the clear white snow could have all been simply circumstancial, the backgroundlore of Lythorn and it's history of brutal murders and ill-willed happenings and strange coincidences that dangerously vindictive people that began to stray their way into town.
Since Lythorn's upbrining, there's been a lore of ancient travellers cursing the land with bad blood and misfortune to whomever sought answers to unknown mystery's. Though only some know the tale, and for the most part, it may have been forgotten, until now.
Lythorn was founded in 1842, a time where many believed in witchcraft and bad omens as common knowledge and the excuse for many of the unexplained and unexpected murders and missing person cases that seemed to plague the lands.
Though, now in the afterglow, the hunt had begun for witness statements and information gatherd on Anna Blokes' case as well as her sisters. Although, the information may be hard to come across than previously thought because of the looming fear of the families of the victims. Though, now in the afterglow, the most influential case that rocked its history and turned it on his head.
It's a true tale that spreads across the deep roots of the town, the Blokes' family has been plagued with threats resulting in trauma and distrust of the police and forces that were meant to protect them. So alas, another hurdle in the everlasting challenge of completing the case and finally closing this comatose mystery for good that the detective and investigator duo had yet to overcome. But, as soon as the wind brushed the ivy willows mayhap finally the wretched curse may be cured.
Louis fastens the buttons of his navy-blue suit as he prepares to make his way to the mourge to view the new crime scene photos and to get witness statements, not to mention the traction in the case so Louis and Juniper could finally be one step closer to solving it.
Juniper looks to Louis, dressed a mocha-colored button up top with black skinny jeans to match unsure of what is to come of their dangerous expedition next, but it's no surprise that the two will easily come up with a plan of action for the day.
"You ready?" Juniper asked curiously, casually nodding to the untied piece of burgundy fabric resembling an untied tie around Louis' neck.
"Need some help with that, investigator?" Juniper questions and Louis laughs halfheartedly as she ties the tie with ease. The simple silence creating one of many questions in their heads, how did Erika get killed in the first place?
Many would ponder upon such a simple question that could be answered with the right evidence or a new break in the case. But no such luck for the investigator and detective crime busting duo.
Though one thing was certain amongst the midst of doubts and unjust coincidences of the case and the history of the town itself.
Something strange and eerie was amongst the tides of the riverbank of Lythorn's outskirts. It could be felt from a mile away, or in the hearts of every civillan, the crevices of the shady street corners.
And like a deadly plauge, it could spread into your bones.
Like wildfire.
Juniper
The ride to the examination lab was quiet as the rain seized for a quick moment as the hidden clouds begin to make their way to the forefront of the sky. I sigh as Louis continues to drive, a hard, cold, and almost unreadable expression on his face. Hunting for an answer and searching for a cure. The words were on my tongue, yet I could not taste them... only the bitter coffee from an earlier mug of liquid courage.
"Are you ready for this?" I asked, as if I was unsure, my voice shook with the wind as Louis drove smoothly and stopped at an intersection where the light was red. Not daring to turn to me just yet until all the cars had stopped.
"Of course, I'm ready June-bug, why wouldn't I be?" Louis says nonchalantly as I shrug, desperately trying to shake off my intrusive thoughts vastly endangering the sanctity of my mind and thoughts about the case.
"You're right, I'm just nervous as hell." I laugh halfheartedly as Louis' tender laugh erupts from beside me as he smiles to me tenderly as he wraps an arm around my shoulders for comfort as I am quickly succumbing to his hold by the second.
"Don't be scared darling, we've got this it's always been you and me and we get it done." He spoke calmly as his forearm supported me as all my worries began washing away as Louis' calming words came and washed them off the shores of my mind and better judgement.
"You're right Tommo, it's just almost as if something is amiss." I say in a melancholy tone as the light switches between the pause in conversation as Louis' head turns softly back towards the road as he clicks his tongue, beginning to speak.
"Darling, we're working with murder... anything and everything could be amiss as it should. After all that's what makes good detective work." Louis' voice says warningly with a twist of danger on the tip of his tongue. As his eyes gloss over to look at the traffic once again, lost in the constant speed of the car's motors and the bright lights in the city around us. As I am succumbing to my own realization of my being, I smile quietly as I nod to him as a strange eerie fog settled around the city. It was warning us, of something we couldn't comprehend, or could we ever understand.
Louis
The morgue was quiet, as a deadly chill creeped up my spine. We stood in the examination room of the Erika Blokes, days later, her skin settling into a twinge of vampiric chilling ghostly white, her strong features prominent as her skin settled onto her lifeless bones.
Wrapped in personal protective equipment, the air tasted manufactured and filtered through my mask to hide my mouth and nose from inhaling the toxic fumes of the only nonliving girl in the room.
I looked down with a ghostly chilling stare to her body, forever in wonder of what kind of person she was, and what were here final thoughts that were trapped forevermore behind her now lifeless eyes.
Detective Zayn Malik walks into the room suddenly as the physician acknowledges him as he nods to us, he settles next to me as we all stare at the body in complete perplexment, waiting for the doctor to make his final diagnosis.
"Erika Bliss Blokes, born may twenty-eighth 1989, died December thirteenth, 2006." The Physician announces as he reads from his chart.
"Now detectives, and investigators" He enunciates, his voice an octave lower than his normal tone of voice, directing his speech towards us dismissively.
"What do you presume happened to Ms. Blokes?" He speaks with a fluent posh southern England accent as my eyes blink suddenly and look to Juniper.
"It seems as if... she mayhap had an allergic reaction to the brambleberry, and according to her chart, she was deathly allergic to it." I speak confidently as the Physician nods in agreement as Zayn purses his lips and strokes his chin with his forefinger and thumb as he looks as if he is about to speak.
"I agree investigator Tomlinson, but tell me... how do you explain her stab wounds?" Zayn questions peculiarly
"The killer possibly couldn't have been patient enough for her deadly allergies to kick in for her death to ensue, therefore stabbing her before the poison settled into her bones." I responded casually as Zayn nodded in agreement, so far this case was going better than I could ever thought it would be.
"So... what you're insisting is, that the killer knew of her allergies? They had to be close to her to know something such as that." I said with a questioning look in my eyes as Juniper nodded.
"That would be correct, or someone who had access to her medical files, to know about her allergies, and her location at the time of her death." Juniper offers as a lightbulb goes off in my mind as a glint of light shines against my eyes as its early noon in the town of Lythorn.
"Juniper, I think we've got it! But we've got to do more investigating on the field, to secure this lead we've gotten." I say with a whisp of confidence in my voice.
"Hm, I think you're right, but you'll need to do some field work to make sure your theory is correct." Detective Malik chimed in as Juniper, and I nodded as Erika's body was covered up once we were finished with the viewing as we all began our search. And whether we knew how it would end or not.
We knew exactly what this meant from her on out.
As we all collectively nodded and began to pause for thought of a plan of action, Zayn's lips pursed as his eyes looked forever trapped in thought, caught in a vicious cycle of unfinished thoughts.
"I think you may want to get information on the Blokes' family..." Zayn started as Juniper, and I looked to each other in unison as a twinge of excitement coursed through my bones.
"For that, you'll need a search warrant, officer Niall Horan can help you with that." Zayn nodded nonchalantly as he handed me a card with the address of the Bloke's family household on it. I nodded to him as Juniper, and I exited the morgue room as we looked to each other for an answer.
Zayn walked quickly behind us as he tapped my shoulder lightly as I spun around to meet his honey brown eyes; seemingly wanting to convey some information that was now hidden, but soon to be revealed.
"Officer Niall Horan is a rookie, you'll meet him at the station, and chief Payne wants to have a word with you two, don't worry you're not in trouble." Zayn winks slyly as I roll my eyes at him playfully as I nod and continue to walk to the exit door of the hospital.
"Why'd we have to work with a rookie?" Juniper complained with a scowl as it made me reminisce to our rookie days as Detectives and Investigators.
"Give him some slack June-bug, he may not be as bad as you seem to let on. We don't even know him yet, besides, if they put him on a high-profile crime case such as this one in his new beginnings as an officer, he must be pretty good." I said halfheartedly as Juniper half smiled as we opened the exit doors to the hospital and were met with the lukewarm foggy December weather of Lythorn.
"You're right Tommo, at least we'll get some traction on the case finally, we're one step closer." Juniper nodded as I smiled at her words as I opened the car door for her as we stepped through the wet parking lot of the hospital.
"Always the gentleman." Juniper smirks halfheartedly as I bow to her mischievously as I shut her car door after she climbed inside.
I looked to the damp ground from the rain earlier in the afternoon as it collided with the bright yellow parking spot lines as I tilted my head at it. And for some odd reason, it meant something in this moment. And for some odd reason... it caught my eye.
I sighed and quickly ran over to the driver's side of my grey Mercedes Benz as I hopped in and started the car as it roared to life in the dead silence.
The radio cut on as I fiddled with the stations until I heard what I desired as I stopped suddenly as the news channel came on with breaking news.
"Breaking news Detective Juniper Young and Investigator Louis Tomlinson to meet with Chief Liam Payne of the Lythorn Police Department. Rumors say that the case is closer to being solved than police let on, more information to follow." The news lady concluded solemnly as Juniper looked to me as I reversed my car and pulled out of the parking lot quickly to blend into the early noon traffic. So, in turn, we could make our way to the Blokes family residence.
"I really hope this leads somewhere." Juniper voiced worriedly as I nodded confidently, though her words meant more to me in this moment than perhaps they should have.
And I didn't know as to why, but I was going to figure it out.

The street was quiet and boundlessly empty as Louis turned to the ghostly looking gated community, I looked to the address on the card as I paused to see the property right in front of us as my head angled slightly upwards to look at it in all its glory.
235 Meadow Drive was the address, in all its glory stood a brick house with vines incasing the outside of the residence. I jumped at the sound of the black metal gate incasing the crown jewel of the community. Outside the wind whispered and worked its way through the hollowed trees creating a strange sound only known to the lost and the weary.
Outside stood a tall blonde woman with striking blue eyes and a sharp jawline step towards the car with a soft look etched upon her face. One of understanding, mixed with a puzzling look in her eye that I would never know of, or I could ever describe or point to. As it all got lost in the mist surrounding every crevice of the town, her dewy skin etched an enigma of everlasting wonder in my mind.
Who was she anyway? My nose scrunched in confusion as she had my mind searching for an answer of who she was before she had even spoken a word.
And in her silence, there was power. And her ocean blue eyes held a sadness and melancholy encased in joy incapable of understanding, to anyone but herself.
She pushed a button swiftly with her slender long finger as the gates opened and slowly Louis' car began to inch into the enclosure of the gated community. But not before being greeted by the strange woman at the gates.
"Hi, what brings you here?" She spoke cheerily as her red lipstick stood out against the grey skies as it stood to be the only pop of color against the dark skies and the dark green vines encasing the houses.
Louis pulled out his badge as I do the same as her eyes widen with shock as she discovers we're working with the police department shortly after we explain the situation.
"I'm Investigator Louis Tomlinson, and Detective Juniper Young. we're working with the local police department to solve the disappearance of Anna Blokes and the death of her sister Erika Blokes." Louis says as she examines his badge and mine thoroughly as she nods and goes about the general admission into the gated community.
"Alright then Investigator and Detective, just be wary and careful, people around her don't like to be disturbed." The nameless woman spoke quietly as Louis, and I looked to each other as a lightbulb lit up in both of our minds at the tone of her speech.
"Understood, may I ask what is your name? For the police record." I asked calmly as she looked to me with a blank stare before pursing her lips to answer my question.
"Taylor Allision Swift is my full name, need anything more?" She asks as her words float along with the wind as Louis gives her a halfhearted smile as she began to walk away. Until her existence was only a whisper as far as the eye could see.
Louis turns to me with a grin upon his face as he quickly pulls into the nearest parking spot as the car goes dead silent as I can hear my heartbeat pulsing in my ears as the wind whistles through the trees and shakes the branches.
Though, one thing I would never understand about Lythorn was their constant stormy weather. As peculiar as this town was, they sure had the weather to match their melancholic aura, especially with the murder case continuing to take off with new information on the case day by day. I smiled as my mind was put at ease, despite the dangerous whirlwind of a storm going on around me.
As I looked to the sky one final time, I saw a rather tall blonde gentleman emerge from out of the large home we were set to go into, I inferred that he was most likely the 'rookie' police officer paired with us on the case.
He saluted to us as he held the door open as his crystal blue eyes shined and incased me in a world of sole blues whirled around a mysterious land of charm and whimsy.
"Detective Young, Investigator Tomlinson, I've heard a lot about you..." He starts as Louis shakes his hand.
"Welcome to the force lad, what's your name?" Louis asks him gently as he straightens his badge as the word 'HORAN' is spelled out and becomes strikingly apparent.
"Officer Niall Horan, I'll be working with you on the case, along with Detective Malik as well." He smiled charmingly in my direction as my eyes passed over his body and into the contents of the lamplit room.
"Well Officer," I spoke, my voice dripping with confidence as I eyed Officer Horan mysteriously as I spoke into the open air.
"Shall we go inside?" I questioned to both men beside me as they nodded and continued to go further into the large house, which I assumed was only the exterior of where the Blokes' family stayed in.
Inside stood a short woman with honey brown eyes with sadness etched upon her face, she looked to us with a glaze to her glare as she questioned silently whether we were going to help her amid danger and confusion at this troubling time.
"Mrs. Blokes, this is Investigator Louis Tomlinson and Detective Juniper Young, they're the ones working on your daughters' cases." Niall said as he motioned to us as both of us waved in unison as Mrs. Blokes looked to us with a blank stare.
I pondered to what was going on inside her seemingly empty eyes, they were full of sadness, and regret as far as I could see. Though working firsthand on her daughters' murder cases, I was determined to change that.
"Oh, well you can call me Bliss Niall." She said with a smile as she waved her hand through the air dismissively as she silently asked us to have a seat on the couch.
As we all sat down and gathered information and shared it, I discovered something new, something forbidden was among us. Bliss, or Mrs. Blokes for that matter seemed scared of something, and I didn't know what it could possibly be, or rather if it existed or not or simply only existed in her mind.
"Mrs. Blokes, did you, or do you know of anyone that could have hurt Erika or Anna? Could you tell me, what were they like?" Louis looks to the mother of the Blokes twins with pleading eyes as I see her face light up with joy at the memory of her two girls.
"Anna was always adventurous, a bit edgy I may say. She disappeared when she was only seven, so much life ahead. While Erika wanted to figure out what happened to Anna all these years later, now at 17 she's gone too." Mrs. Blokes concluded as she looked down at her hands with remorse as she looked up to us and smiled halfheartedly with hopeful eyes.
And there was something in her eyes that held a glint to them that I could never understand. And somehow, I wanted to, and I craved it.... And I had no clue as to why I did.
Louis
The road I took was odd and not traveled by many as I took a stroll after all the information that was gathered and accumulated in my mind. I needed to release the pressure, just for a moment, I repeated to myself.
I wondered about the girls and if one of them, Anna, was still alive as I floated ghostly through the streets like someone out of place. In somewhere I wasn't supposed to be, but whether the strange winds changed the tides in my mind it wouldn't matter if I belonged or was cast astray, I simply was here to solve the crime. And almost, as it may seem now, prove the impossible, that Anna is still alive.
Like a madman I rumbled through the empty streets only knowing of the directions back to the hotel, not at all knowing where I was to end up. Only straying with the direction of the wind.
Suddenly I bumped into someone, without looking I cursed myself for such the inconvenience, but then I realized, what would they be doing out here anyway? Unconsciously I put on my invisible detectives' hat as I furrowed my eyebrows upward at the person I had unfortunately bumped into.
My mind froze completely colder than the tundra weather around me as I looked into Harry's deep emerald eyes as they electrified with the amount of greenery in the forest.
"'Ello Louis! Harry voice cheerily as he waved with his ring clad hand as I smiled at him halfheartedly as I was relieved to see him in the forest.
"Christ Harry, you scared the shit outta me!" I disclosed wearily as he laughed into the open air as crinkles formed around his eyes.
I looked at him from a new point of view as I saw things about him that I had never noticed before. Or thought to notice rather. But now, I squinted my eyes at the realization of what he looked like rather up close than from afar, I noticed the speckle of freckles across the bridge of his nose that were almost barely visible from far away... but up close everything was so clear.
"Louis, are you alright?" Harry voiced worriedly as he may have been wondering why I was staring so intensely at his face in an odd situation such as this.
"I'm all good love, sorry I just noticed your freckles on y'nose, didn't notice them, and your eyes." I said as my voice disappeared towards the end of my sentence as if I was going down a long tunnel, my thoughts getting trapped in the void of no return as I found myself spacing out again looking at his features.
I was almost entranced and couldn't look away as a warm blush swam upon the apples of my cheeks as I looked away quickly into the brush of the forest.
"It's alright," Harry laughed as he brushed off the subject "so... what brings you here, into the historians brambleberry thicket." Harry voiced with an eerie tone as he wiggled his fingers as we walked deeper into the forest.
"So that's what it's called eh?" I questioned as he nodded "How on earth would you know that, you just blew into town... unless, you've been here before?" I questioned as I squinted my eyebrows in suspicion as Harry held his hands up in surrender.
"I swear I haven't Louis! Just a quick read in the library, m'a bit of a reader if y'didn't know. Lythorn has loads of books on the history of this old town. Might help you with your detective work if you give it a read." Harry voiced as I nodded in agreement with him, I might have to take up his offer... I said to myself.
"That's good, I wouldn't want to have to arrest you for aiding in the conspiracy of a crime." I spoke teasingly as I spun my handcuffs on my pointer finger as Harry's forests eyes got dark as his pupils widened.
"Well, I wouldn't mind that... isn't my first go around." Harry voiced in a dulcet tone as he fidgeted with the rings on his hands awkwardly as my eyes became drawn to them. I looked to his hands as I realized a tiny cross decorated the corner of his left hand... and what looked like an anchor decorating the top of his wrist peeking out from his jacket.
"Criminal record? Been arrested before?" I pried innocently as Harry blushed and looked to his Chelsea boots and ruffled his long curls. Which just dipped over his shoulder as the curls bounced with every movement of his head.
"Something like that." Harry muttered almost soundlessly as my eyes looked around in confusion before continuing the conversation nonchalantly.
"Maybe you are less innocent than your persona lets on." I said as Harry smirked infamously as I chuckled at his reaction.
"Wanna know something?" I said out of the blue as Harry nodded as his eyes scanned over my body quickly as he took into account what I was wearing, police badge clads at my waist and handcuffs tucked into my pocket.
"I'm more dangerous than I look." I smirked dangerously as Harry rolled his eyes as I scoffed and smiled playfully at him.
"I wouldn't believe that, you're so small Lou, can I call y'that?" Harry said as his eyes crinkled at the sight of the smile on my face as we both burst into laughter.
"Of course, though don't underestimate me Harry, I'm very strong, I'm big!" I said victoriously as I flexed my muscles.
"Ooh, you've got a tattoo, so dangerous, I've got some too." Harry said quietly as I looked to him with a peculiar look on my face.
"I do, I am in fact very dangerous." I scoffed in all seriousness as Harry nodded in defeat as I smirked up at him. "And look, we're matching aren't we?" Harry voiced excitedly as he pointed to my rope tattoo and his anchor. My eyebrows furrowed at the coincidence, I wondered if that could have meant something.
Perhaps I would never know, I nodded to myself as I looked to Harry as he continued talking about the case as he had saw some new information on the news.
"So, I see you're hard at work, I saw that Erika was killed in these very woods on the news, have you found her killer yet?" Harry nodded pryingly as I peered at him mischievously.
"I can't tell you too much about it, private police information and confidentiality and all that shit, but I will tell you field work is being done to learn about her background before we go into suspects, though we do believe she was killed by the same 'Lythorn killer' everyone is chatting about. But I believe her sister, Anna is still alive... only since her body hasn't been found unlike her sisters that was found immediately after her murder. It just seems odd, and peculiar is all, nothing official yet it's simply just a theory." I nodded dismissively as Harry's eyebrows furrowed at my words.
"Lou, I'm no detective, but I think you may have something there." Harry said confidently as he nodded and put solace into my words as I felt that he may be right, I just had to prove it.

Harry
After our mistaken rendezvou in the forest Louis drove the both of us back to the hotel since it was getting dark and fast. Due to the winter weather and the clouds in the sky that seemed to hold little to no sunlight behind them.
"Y'know Louis, your eyes are really pretty as well, and your tattoos, isn't it so peculiar that we seem to match? One day, will you tell me about them, the story behind them?" I asked eagerly as Louis looked to the road as he parked in the hotel parking lot as he chuckled and turned to me as soon as the car was stopped and parked.
"That's a load of questions H, can I call y'that?" Louis said as he mimicked my words from earlier as I nodded.
"Thanks for driving me back to the hotel." I said simply as we walked in through the doors and past the front desk making a B line towards the elevator.
Even though a couple weeks had passed since I arrived in the town, and I saw Louis for the first time everything felt so static. Like I could recall each event as they played out in my mind.
And Louis was so important to me it was as if I knew him already, and the way our speech flowed like water and the electricity between us never lost its spark whether we'd see each other through the crowded hallways or from a sideview on a street somewhere in Lythorn.
I went in the elevator with Louis as we stood in silence as he fidgeted with his hands and ran them through his chestnut hair quietly as my mind drew a blank in the complete silence.
The Elevator glided on the tracks with a bump as it rocked from side to side at the slightest, causing me to knock into Louis and almost knock him completely over before catching him by putting my hand on the small of his upper back as he heaved a sigh of relief as we looked into each other's eyes, almost for a split second more than we should have.
"T-Thanks Harry." Louis stuttered awkwardly as he stood up fully and returned to the place that he once was as I cleared my throat and ran my hand through my hair in the silence once again.
"That was rather embarrassing, sorry." Louis apologized quickly as I brushed it off.
"You're good, love." I said as I turned to him as I failed to realize how close we were as his breaths fanned in my face like the cold winter air as it smelled strangely minty as he smirked at me and his cheeks flushed.
I didn't know as to why, but something compelled me to lean down and kiss him, I hadn't felt this way before and it was rocking the boat of friendship to strangers between us and I had know idea how to cope with the changes.
He whispered sweet nothings to me as he pulled me down slowly by the neck as I obeyed to his command and lowered my head towards his as my breathing became eradicated, short and choppy not before long.
"Harry we can't, I'm taken." Louis spoke swiftly as I attempted to pull away as his ocean eyes locked on mine and I felt enchanted, almost as if I couldn't look away.
"I want to..." Louis spoke quietly, almost too quiet to hear, but since we were heart to heart in this moment, the words were loud enough to cause silence.
My eyes looked quickly around the small space we were in as the elevator was soon to reach the floor we were destined to meet as I made the riskiest decision. His lips collided with mine before I had a single second thought.
And then, an electricity surge.
A/N: A very strange and quick turn for this chapter, how do we feel about it? Longer than I had planned but I love it, nonetheless.
I'm sure I've turned some heads with the last scene there *laughs evilly* and... the cliffhanger
But what was everyone's favorite parts? If so comment in the description what your favorite part was, and if you can't wait to see what happens next when Louis makes the daring decision to kiss another man another than Milo.
Could there be mixed feelings and new beginnings? Stay tuned for the next chapter.
As always, comment your theories and predictions, what do you think will happen next?
All the love, Louiscarrotsxoxo
