You could’ve sworn they sold [candy bar] here and tried scurrying around the store in all directions before finally giving up. You hesitantly walked up to the register waiting for the guy to turn back around.

Your jaw slightly dropped when he turned. He was stunning.

7. Share a line/paragraph/snippet that you were especially proud of.

Okay so I love this chapter just for the fact that everything I've been setting up for 200,000+ words culminates in here (but this section I've chosen also should reveal nothing heu heu heu). Also @needfantasticstories complemented the wording of one of the sentences, and I seeing my work through another's eyes really makes me appreciate it? If you know what I'm saying? But yeah, I wrote this during the poetry section of my AP Literature class in high school, if you couldn't tell by my gratuitous use of alliteration, semicolons, and parallel sentence structure.

Wild stepped into the ornate church. High stone ceilings flew overhead, lined with stained glass windows—depictions of their Golden Goddess—that sent shattered slivers of light dancing along the cold stone floor. Rows upon rows of lowly stone pews stood in ordered procession on either side of the walkway, stretching all the way to the raised platform at the front of the cathedral. A great statue, so unlike the one that he knew, loomed over it all. The Hylia he knew had hair of flowering vine, and robes of majestic moss; this one's every strand was spun of gold, this one's every fold formed of ivory. His Hylia’s face was of cracked calcite, worn down and rounded out over years of exposure to the elements; this one’s was of sharp, shining porcelain. Little gray wings he’d only ever seen tucked to her sides, like those of a Rito fledgling, were now golden and stretched out in their full glory. 10. What are your writing goals for the upcoming year?

Okay okay okay okay. Just because you asked, I'm going to end up having to write out my entire planned chapter by chapter schedule and pin it to the top of my blog, aren't I?

But for a summary, basically--right now I'm trying to finish up my Noble's Warning chapters, which will get me to through February and some of March, so that I can participate in FebWhump without juggling two projects. The Differences chapters, which are pretty much done besides a few select bits that actually need to be written, should carry me all the way to Spring Break and through. During Spring Break (cuz I'm a cringe college student) I will try to finalize enough to make it close to the Heal Chapters, which should free me up until finals are over in May/June-ish.

Summer is when things get real. That's when I'll evaluate how much of Arc 2 I have done and how much time I think I need to finish it. If I'm ahead of schedule, I'll make sure I've hit all the finishing touches for Arc 1 and start releasing chapters twice a week. If not, I'll give myself more time with the once a week updates. Plus, I want to take a break between Arc 1 and 2 just to let ya'll squirm, so that gives me at least a month, I think, depending how hard ya'll cry at me to continue. There's also a whole timeline thing there of whether I want to do flashbacks of a section or if I just wanna say F it we ball, but that's beside the point.

If I do once a week releases, I already have enough planned content for Arc 1 + the occasional Prologue pieces to get me through the entire year and then some. So yeah, that's the plan for the year :D

How did shit go down in the Mirror World:

DL1: Dark found Shadow and just kinda followed him around, helping out where he could. After seeing Shadow beat up Umbra (SDDD), he basically just adopted him. (He had a lot of help from Umbra)

Adventure: Dark Mind comes in, and things get depressing

DL2: Swordsman doesn't fight Shadow, instead the Animal Friends do

Super Star/Ultra: Essentially the same as how it went for Kirby, just Marx is a lot shyer and didn't wish to rule over Popstar. Also Dark didn't try to start a revolution, he gave the Halberd to Mirror Daroach

DL3: Dark Mind's influence starts to grow and Dark gets corrupted??? Mind controlled?? I dunno. Anyways Shadow fights Dark instead of Zero (i misspelled Zero like three times btw)

Crystal Shards: Never met Ribbon, instead went on a mission with Dusk (Mirror Bandee) and whatever I decide to call Mirror Adeleine to fix the Dimensional Mirror. Didn't fight 02

Amazing Mirror: No I'm not explaining this one, nothing would be different

Squeak Squad: Mirror Daroach isn't a thief, so SS could literally never happen.

RTDL/DX: Crown (Mirror Magolor) goes to Shadow and Co. asking them to get his crown back from Landia. Landia is trying to revive Dark Mind. They beat up the dragon, get Crown his crown back (lol) and wet cat redemption arc never happens

TD: Raz (Dark Taranza. Raz is a nickname Dark gave him) plants the Dreamstalk with the help of those weird flower people, and gets Shadow and Co. to help him kill Sectonia. Mirror Sectonia was elected to be president of Floralia and became a dictator. Mirror Sec almost achieved her goal of taking over Popstar, getting closer than her reflection. The only reason she didn't was because Kirby killed Sectonia. Raz then became king of Mirror Floralia.

Robobot: Mir Susie finds Shadow after the Ark does its whole thing, saying that she wants to take down the CEO. Shadow agrees to help her, and Dusk and Umbra tag along. Mir Susie tells them that she learned that Dark got mechanized, and that she would help them find him. When they get to the CEO's office, they fight Max, (Mir Haltmann who still lost his memories. But like. Almost all of them. He forgot that he was the CEO before, he forgot he had a daughter etc etc.) who then goes back to working right after. Mir Susie then reveals that she was actually insane the whole time, pulling out a mechanized Dark and sending him to kill them all. After Dark loses, she willing gives up her soul to Star Dream, and that whole thing happens. Mir Daroach pulls up in the Halberd to help and Mir Susie dies

Star Allies: Literally nothing happened for them

Forgotten Land: Essentially the same as it was for Kirby, just that Dark joined the Beast Pack and Shadow fought him at the end instead of Umbra

calling people narcissists isn't the problem the problem is that the motherfuckers who came up with the name for that disorder decided to take a term for a self-absorbed asshole and put it in the dx name. literally discovered a new personality disorder and were like. "yeah lets call this major jerkface-itis"

instead of "don't call people narcissists" when we've been doing it for thousands of years we should campaign to change the name of the disorder, it makes the most sense linguistically and is also just a more achievable goal (has already happened with many other disorders)

That's really up to people with npd to decide and tell us how they feel about that. I can't speak for them, and I won't assume that you don't have npd yourself, but I don't think everyone hates the name. I know some people use the flower as a symbol of pride and acceptance. But again, it's not my place to speak on that beyond what I've seen and been told. I also don't think it necessarily does make the most sense logistically. The stigma and hatred isn't only against the word, but the diagnosis. There are even guides online about how to abuse and traumatize someone with npd. I'm not sure a name change would stop the people who are very invested in hating people with npd from doing so. My guess is that they would see it as 'just another covert manipulation tactic', because that's how they think and talk about this. I'd appreciate anyone with npd reblogging this post or commenting with their thoughts and feelings about this because I can't speak to their experience. While I think there's considerable overlap in avpd and npd, avpd just doesn't carry the same level of stigma as npd or other cluster B pds.

Some of their stars even advertising Super Soakers during the Attitude era included the Pretty Mean Sisters (who were these women that kept a half naked man known as Meat as their personal sex slave), Debra (who was famous for exposing her chest in a bra), and D Generation X (a group of bad boys who shouted "suck it!" while their hands motioned at their genitals, played strip poker in the ring, put the Canadian flag up their nose and humped it, and made sex and penis jokes).

Speaking of the Attitude era, when that era was arguably coming about at the end of 1997, Triple H and Shawn Michaels did a commercial for Supersoakers.

In that commercial, they both had their long hair hanging down while they searched for their enemy down a hallway as they held plastic Supersoakers in both of their hands.

When they approached a door they thought was where their opponent was, they opened the door, but behind that door it was you.

After they opened the door, Shawn and Triple H began to pump the handles of their SuperSoakers filled with water at your chest.

You were also wearing a brightly pink bath towel in this commercial, the corner of your towel tucked into the top of it.

You really were naked under that towel.

While they were pumping their Supersoakers, ice cold water shot at your chest and in between your cleavage.

There's no way that this Supersoaker commercial would air on television without controversy---especially considering D Generation X almost got "Monday Night Raw" taken off the air in the late 1990's---even back when DX just consisted of Shawn and Triple H.

Quick roundup of my thoughts watching The Hulu Upload of Raw (so I haven't seen *checks YouTube clip title* the latest antics of Chelsea and Piper, the Candice and Indi stuff the title spoiled, or the Andrade and Ricochet thing that also had a semi spoiler title yet, but I will try to)

I have around 35 tattoos (hard to count when you have half sleeves and such). I DO want more tattoos, but in the past two years one of my chronic conditions has made it so I'm allergic to my tattoos. They get welts and hives all the time. Which really sucks because uhhhh, my entire body is covered in them 🤷‍♂️

20. What/who do you miss? 

I miss all my loves in the US. But in terms of 'what' -- the thing I miss everyday is being able to leave my house without it having to be an entire Event. I miss life before the pandemic where I didn't have to take 100 pre-emptive steps to protect myself every time I go out. I miss 2020 when everyone (in my country) was in this together, when everyone was masking and staying home when they were sick, when everything was accessible by being online. I miss when people cared.

The pandemic isn't over. Some of us have never left lockdown.

22. How much sleep did you get last night? 

I actually went to sleep hella early. I was asleep before my daily kudos email (this is how I tell time, okay?) which comes about 00:20. Then, I got up early with Doom Them -- so I think I got about 7 hours? I only need 5-6 to be functional.

26. What are some seemingly childish things you like? 

I don't believe joy has an age limit. I'm a regular at our local toy stores, I know all the staff, I'm always buying new fidget toys and Squishmallows. I got into Squishmallows about the same time I got my Autism dx (mid-2020) and since then, Squish have become a constant form of comfort for us. We currently have about 300 in our collection -- and that's after some major downsizing. There's no way to know how many squish we've rotated through over the years. Here's the last full squad photo we took in Jan 2022 (there's nowhere in our house to do a full pic of the 300 we have currently)

I'm actually doing well this week. Summer weather arrived without warning and my depression is lifting. I feel really inspired for the first time in weeks!

Not really. Raven Angst.

So Charlie is the only person/the first person to be kind to Raven/be her friend at the orphanage, he usually would protect her and play and watch shows with her, one day he wanted to get a flower for her which was a Daisy and he ended up falling into a "tar" pit and sank in which it took him to another world.

Which he became a Trollge/Incident as Raven and the others at the orphanage thought he died or something and deamed him Missing.

Leroy then would use that to mess with Raven more and such, so yeah Charlie is important and I already got a idea for him returning and them reuniting and such.

But yeah Raven angst ouch! The past and present! :D ;D DX

Raven is so sweet she doesn't even want the worst to happen to the worst people aka the people that hurt her (Leroy) but she still wonders why she does and even misses them hense the video.

I do think it was odd that all the ghosts weren't involved in the Hell plot...but Trevor protecting Flower was very touching. Hetty choosing between Trevor and endless torment from Elias would definitely have been so amazing to see. Alas, we didn't get much H-Money today. DX I kind of hoped they would at least look at each other when The Menu Hunter starting moaning. XD In the end, I do like Thor teaching Pete how to fight back, though! I was really proud of him! So...at least Pete learned that today!

Trevor's protecting Flower was just adorable and you can easily imagine him doing the same for any of the ghosts but especially Hetty and Flower (and maybe Alberta). It's like his defense of Sam in the opener of this season! He may make certain comments, but the man insanely protective.

I SO would have loved something between HMoney this episode, but I'm thinking they wanted to wait a bit like they did with not acknowledging the Christmas Cliffhanger in Perfect Assistant. They want us to return on the 30th ready for some answers.

I also think they decided to continue hiding by being apart instead of Hettys bad plan last episode.

Also, I AM glad Pete learned something this episode. Although I really wished ALL of the ghosts were involved.

Since he was there for 48 hrs, I like to imagine that Hetty sought out Trevor for his advice about the situation. There was definitely a missed opportunity for them to discuss what happened the last time Elias was there!

gatekeeping in general is annoying but vocaloid gatekeeping in particular gets me riled up because like. i remember when i surfed through the comments of the vocaloid unpopular opinions page on instagram and there would be an occasional Hot Take on these new young vocaloid fans that don't know much about vocaloid and therefore are not reeeaaally vocaloid fans.

which is like... yeah a lot of new fans make a lot of rookie mistakes and have some admittedly dumb misconceptions, but i feel like a LOT of older/veteran vocaloid fans were also like that when they first arrived 😭 vocaloid is a bit different from what a fandom is typically formed around yknow. its a broad category of tools and music and art and such, it's so.. non-central if that makes sense? so of course it would be confusing to a completely fresh new fan. im pretty sure thats why "is vocaloid an anime" is such a common question cuz new fans are trying to figure out What All Of This Is.

one "hot take" that really annoyed me was one that was like, "you're not really a vocaloid fan if you think miku/the six crypton vocaloids are the only ones that exist. you have to know gumi or flower or fukase at the very least!" NO!!! CUT IT OUT!! listen. i feel like the reason why a good chunk of fans might think miku and her friends (or even just miku) are the only vocaloids is because theyre everywhere!!! it goes without saying that miku is the most popular character. so, of course she appears in a lot of official vocaloid media, and CFM would throw in their own characters with her while they're at it. the concerts, merchandise, the games... they get the most cuz theyre the most popular, and probably the main media that new fans are exposed to when getting into vocaloid. im not surprised that it gives them a bit of tunnel vision when it comes to the very wide array of voicebanks and characters in vocaloid alone.

the video games in particular probably served as an introduction to vocaloid for a lot of people, myself included. i watched those project diva mvs soooo much (exposed me to many classic hits, which need i remind you primarily feature miku lol), and the project diva games only had the crypton 6. for a while, because of my exposure to vocaloid through project diva, i also thought the main 6 were the only ones. i remember when i was watching a trailer for project mirari dx on my 3ds, and one of the selling points in the trailer was like, "introducing... gumi!" (in reference to how gumi was a guest character in those games). and from that i genuinely thought gumi was a new vocaloid.

this also translates to how some ppl on that unpopular opinion page would sometimes speak about project sekai fans, aka the youngsters that are getting into vocaloid through the hot new mobile game and are posting about it on tiktok and whatnot. "aaa but they'll probably only think miku and her friends are the only ones!!" the project diva problem repackaged for a new generation i guess. at least project sekai actually includes music that features other voicebanks (gumi, flower, yuki, and ia to name some). sure, theyre not shown outright, but it's a lot better than project diva which exclusively had music with the crypton voicebanks. again, this is not a new problem 😭 (i mean, i guess ive also heard "aaa but some proseka fans think the ocs are vocaloids tooo" ...so?? that can be pretty easily explained away. who cares)

like let's be real... new fans having cringe misconceptions about vocaloid is not new at all. not every fan is going to be equipped with the vocaloid bible when they start investigating what all this hatsune miku business is after playing project sekai. some mistakes feel dumb, but the cool thing about dumb misconceptions is that theyre pretty easy to clear up when you actually explain things rather than shun baby fans completely.

ok im done rambling now. maybe this is a very specific and not at all widespread thought and my brain just got fried from looking at an instagram comment section. it happens sometimes. ive just been thinking about those specific comments and the more i thought about them the more it pissed me off lmao.

Favorite character: Hetty. She is going through so much growth and sexual empowerment. I am so proud of her, honestly. I mean...when she feels bad about something, or does anything wrong, she handles the consequences with dignity. :)

Funniest character: It all depends on what is happening in the scene and the humor. All of the ghosts have different types of humor. Like...I have laughed at each character for something they have done. I love their collective sarcasm. Like...all from different timelines...sarcasm throughout history running wild. XD

Best-Looking Character: I think it depends on your preference, honestly. XD I am going to be obvious here, for anyone who follows me...it is a tie between Hetty and Trevor. XD I am attracted to both, and I am not sorry. XD

Least Favorite Character: I feel like this question...means I dislike any of the characters. Which, I don't. There are some that I like a bit more than the others, but I love them all.
