I have finished Intermezzo and can I just say, I love kayne even more now. Thoughts on the last fee episodes of s4 and intermezzo below
I love Oscar. I wish he got to join the wacky hijinxs of our two favorite toxic old men.
I also love how Arthur finally has a good relationship with Daniel. He deserves nice things
FUCK WALLACE
NOEL MY BELOVED HE'S SO FUN
Also i almost cried when Arthur got to talk to Marie. That interaction was so cute and I need more of her.
The fact Kayne hates Wallace is so funny to me. Like, imagine you spend OVER A CENTURY worshiping something, then at your big evil 'ima bout to do my super evil plan' event one of the gods comes down and rants about how much he hates you and how much he loves the guy who you hired a man to kill because he was going to crash your big evil plan event. That shit has got to sting.
He deserves it.
But it's still super funny
Now that I know Kayne has a daughter all I can imagine is Kayne being a demanded girl dad. Evil and cruel and all this but when his little girl walks up he melts
Petition for girl dad kayne please.
Saw someone on TikTok say that Kayne went from being a goofy silly villain to an actual evil villain and needed to be stopped. They seemed shocked that the man who KILLED AN INTITRE TOWN BECAUSE HE WAS BORED and REGULARLY MAIPULATED THE MAIN CHARACTERS was some goofy little minor antagonist.
No babes, you could tell from the scene in the beginning of s3 when he made the deal with Arthur that he wasn't going to be some twisted little side kick.
He was gearing up to be a major villain
Not to mention he is OF THE SAME RANKS OF CHTHULUH!
THOSE GUYS ARENT KNOWN FOR BEING BENEVOLENT ENTITIES
Hate him if you want, but don't act all shocked and shit when you realize he is an evil entity of unspeakable power.
It's like Bill Cipher. He is silly and goofy and fun, but he is AN EVIL CREATURE WHO COULD BRING ABOUT THE END OF THE WORLD BECAUSE HE IS BORED
Hot take: if you love Bill Cipher, you cant hate on Kayne
Kayne is just Bill Cipher if Disney didn't put the leash called 'Tv-Y7' on Alex Hirsch
Change my fucking mind
Anyway, I am very curious on if Kayne will actually bring Faroe back if the give him the Blackstone
He hasn't *exactly* broken his promises yet.
But he did twist them
He's like a fucked up Genie.
So I am quite curious about how he'll twist Faroe.
Also I wonder what he wants with the Blackstone
Curiouser and curiouser

Hi~ Hope you have a lovely day. I want to get your opinions on my rant lol and ask.
Marinette is such a disappointment of a lead female character in a western magical girl cartoon. She isn't a good leader and all her team consist of yes men and women and sidekick Chat Noir where her real partner Alya is standing over to the side. I liked her in the first two season and maybe some in s3 but the s4 and onward just got to me ngl. It's her world and we're all just living in it. Miraculous is so weird when it comes to team dynamics because I get she's guardian but I really wished it were someone else and not her because she chooses people she already get along great with. It fun for team dynamics to add be different and broader.
The whole she's just 14 the fandom spouts only goes so far how many messes do you do until you realise you need to own up to them even at that age when you should know better on your conduct ?
I get it hard to communicate but onwards I always thought the bigger of the two in the conflict was her because of her secrecy and her controlling tendencies. I disliked it so much in the ephemeral episode and her betraying her partner disgusted me. Sorry to those who like or defend her character this much but I can't stan or like a character that does this much crap to a friend let alone a love interest and then gloss over or minimize it and not be called out for it. Like, are people standards that low they think she's a good leader or a good proper representation on feminism when this show reeks of misogyny and misandry. She's the ultimatum voice for Astruc.
A communication issue with her Chat was fine a long time ago but now in s5 she crossed it hell nah how do people still support a ship with her knowing she followed Hawkmoth command for Adrien. I literally can't anymore with this show. Every guy she likes gotta be so 100 percent in effort and like in the Shadybug special him always comforting her makes me so jaded whenever she cries what about a change in dynamics had we ever seen her comfort him in turn how are people invested in this ship? Like that time in the bench and she just thought of ways to woo or give presents instead of just comforting him is so sad to watch.
She really followed in Master Fu steps. The bar is in hell and she crossed it in the finale. There is no excuse no handwaving it away and i know in my heart they gonna minimize it for Adrien own good. Everything is for his own good huh? What good is it rooting for a ship that just reeks of pity points. Like, she was never my favorite but who knew 8 years ago she'd pull a stunt like this and people bending over and doing mental gymnastics to rationalise this insanity. She really is a good foil to Gabriel ironically to bad she has no sway in this family drama we call the Agreste.
I know she has good intentions and it's not wrong for her to wish to save her prince but like thats all that is intention. Her actions are also important and the effects she's done is so bad that if she weren't the Main character and we haven't spent the chunk of the majority in her pov alone she'd be disliked.
I feel like compared to other respective series Winx Club s1-3 Bloom, Danny Phantom, Ben 10, Totally Spies they have it much more harder and so many more all show the consequences of your actions and how you do them right and they're her age. I feel like whenever someone bring up consequences it's like people in this particular fandom think we do it to punish Marinette but no I just never ever saw it properly done in this show because she's very coddled in the narrative. I don't see other MC as coddled as her before in a show where when they MESS UP it's actually integral and important.
Rant over.
Tumblr media
You encapsulated all my thoughts perfectly, anon. I've said so many times before that I loved Marinette from Season 1-3 and even during Season 4 as it aired. What made me fall out of love with her character post Season 4 was the utter lack of acknowledgement of her actions and the insistence in portraying her as in the right at all times. Like you said, it's not just your intentions that matter. Your actions and the effects that they have on the people around you also matter. The writers don't seem to understand this, and it hits Marinette's character worst of all. She had so much potential to be such a great character, which is why I feel so sad seeing just how badly the writing failed her. Marinette deserved better.
Thank you for your ask!

🐈‍⬛ 🌻 😇 👥️ 🎶 for the ask game <3
Thank you so much for the asks! <3 :D
🐈‍⬛ animal
My favourite animal is a cheetah! I'm just so impressed by their speed and how they run. If I had a mutant power, I'd want it to be super speed. So I want them to teach me there ways!
😇 blorbo
Right now, my The Wilds hyperfixation is so strong I can think of practically nothing else (oopsie). But yes! I love all the Wilds girls but Toni Shalifoe is my favourite <3. Honestly, she might have taken the crown of favourite character of all time at this point. Just gaaah. Such a softie underneath all that understandable anger. Cares so much for those she loves. I love her and all the layers of her character.
Tumblr media
Before I watched the Wilds I got really into Legacies again (by finally watching s3 and s4). Absolutely obsessed with Lizzie Saltzman! Very relatable in some regards. Absolutely hilarious! Has so much pain and so many deep insecurities.
Tumblr media
Alice Jones from Once Upon A Time, (my beloved) <3! A silly who has suffered too much!!
Tumblr media
Chelsea Daniels from That's So Raven. She's so endearing to me. The silliest of sillies. Raven is a very close second, though.
Tumblr media
Natalie Goodman from Next To Normal. Relatable in an ansty way.
Tumblr media
Peter Simmonds from Bare: A Pop Opera. So relatable. A Cinnamon Roll <3.
Tumblr media
Kate Dalton from We Are The Tigers. Sarcasm queen.
Tumblr media
Vincent Lin From Adamandi. They may be a murderous blorbo. But they're my murderous blorbo.
Tumblr media
Circe from Epic: The Musical. She's just so cool.
Tumblr media
Draculaura from Monster High. Again, so cool and I love how much she loves her friends.
Tumblr media
Chloe Sullivan from Smallville. Big influence on me growing up. Though I probably shouldn't have been watching Smallville at 9. She just cared so much about those she loved.
Tumblr media
Simon Tudor from Jeopardy. His character development is everything <3.
Tumblr media
Cloe From Bratz. The biggest drama queen ever and I love her for it.
Tumblr media
Kurt Wagner from X-Men Evolution (and just x-men in general). He's such a silly guy.
Tumblr media
Shalimar Fox from Mutant X. The most badass, protective queen to ever.
Tumblr media
And that's all I can think of, but they're in no particular order. Except Toni. Toni gets the number 1 blorbo badge.
🌻 flower
I don't know much about flowers but I really like the look of Plumeria.
👥️ otp
So many! I shall limit myself to one per show.
Shoni!! (from The Wilds). I think they have made it to number 1 otp status!
Tumblr media
Snowing from Once Upon A Time. But also shout out to Curious Archer!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mizzie from Legacies! Still can't believe they got to be endgame!! I thought it was just gonna be hopes and dreams but the way I screamed my head off!! I love an unrequited love storyline but I love it even more when it then becomes requited. He thought the world of her and then she realised she felt the same about him too and it was beautiful and I cried (and screamed).
Tumblr media
Natalie x Henry from Next To Normal. He's just so supportive of her and would do anything to make sure she's okay and that makes me want to cry into my cereal.
Tumblr media
Peter x Jason from Bare: A Pop Opera. Everything hurts. But their chemistry was of the charts and they were so in love and I am in pain.
Tumblr media
Cheer Wives from We Are The Tigers. They were sooooo bad for each other but needed each other? It was a mess but I was so very there for it.
Tumblr media
Quincent from Adamandi. I am once again in so much pain. I can't get over how beautiful the lyrics they sang were when referencing each other.
Tumblr media
Freffy from Skins. The way he cared for Effy D,:. He would haved moved mountains just to make her smile. My heart will forever be broken over what happened to Freddie. He deserved so much better.
Tumblr media
Dracudeen. Just the whole of 'This is Not How Or Story Goes.' There was no hetrosexual explanation for that and Clawdeen nearly died to save her!
Tumblr media
Chlark from Smallville. Next to Simon x Chrissie, they were one of my first otps. No one did friendship like them. But I always wanted it to be more. That whole unrequited thing that was never really given a chance to become requited.
Tumblr media
Edited to add: Chlavis! I now one cannot have 2 otps that include the same character but I always go back and forth between which I like best. Chlavis' story was so intense and traumatic but at least it ended up being requited this time around! Extremely requited!
Tumblr media
Simon x Chrissie. Tfw the two most terrible people you'd never wanted to be stranded in the wilderness with have the most beautiful, unrushed character development and learn to care for people other than themselves as they slowly fall in love, when there was merely the shallowest one-sided crush you ever did see there before. The way they became heroes <3. And the way Simon just didn't know how to be without Chrissie but persisted in trying to save her when chances were beyond slim. I miss them so much and need to rewatch <3.
Tumblr media
Harlan x Cyrus. They had so much chemistry and genuinely had a connection and now we'll never know what happened to them. I wish we got to know them better. Darn you Amazon!
Tumblr media
Cloe x Jade from Bratz. It was more of a case of all the unwritten fanfiction I had in my head for them as an 11 year old. But I only let it get as gay as Monster High 2 at the time, which is actually very incredibly gay, so I don't know who my brain was trying to fool.
Lance x Kitty from X-Men Evolution. They had a really interesting connection and were drawn to each other.
Tumblr media
🎶 musical artist
I mostly listen to musical theatre songs but my favourite band has always been S Club 7. I'm not sure I have an overall favourite solo artist. Maybe James Morrison!
Thank you again for the asks! They were such a blast to answer!

Post-Umbrella Academy S4 Reaction Part 3: Viktory!...ish (spoilers under cut)
If you're just joining me, Part 1 was a reaction to FANDOM'S reaction; Part 2 was a snippet of fix-it that poured out of me yesterday. Now to get into the nitty-gritty.
Let's start off the show-specific commentary with something, to counteract the online vitriol, I have the most genuinely positive feelings about (though also a few definite opinions on how it could have been improved): VIKTOR. VIKTOR MY BABY whom I have written 35,584 words from the point of view of (and almost as many ABOUT him from other povs) since last we saw him. I think I've mentioned in tags or something the weird possessive feeling I got just seeing him in trailer footage-- the same thing happened when season 3 of Legion came out and I saw the Loudermilks again. There's something about spending a lot of time in a character's head that makes me weirdly emotional about them after that.
Five is my favorite character from an objective what-an-absurdly-interesting-character standpoint, but Viktor has always been the character I've connected to most emotionally. I, too, have spent my life convinced I'm Nobody but desperately longing to be SOMEBODY. And he had the tragic arc I've been morbidly obsessed with since Lester Nygaard-- the doormat who finally stands up for themselves but it all keeps going horribly wrong.
He finally speaks up, tells his story to the world-- and it only further alienates him from his already-troubled family, and the one guy he most hoped WOULD read it immediately shelved it and never touched it again. (At least, in a possible future, it became an anchor and lifeline for Five. But I'm not sure Viktor ever canonically found out about that. All Five told him was that it was "ballsy," which is better than anything anyone else ever told him about it, but not about how he carried it everywhere he went for 40-some years and used it to keep all his most important home-going equations)
He finally gains the power he always longed for, but instinctively lashes out violently with it at every reveal of betrayal from people he trusted (and only one of those people probably deserved it).
He finally gets first chair, is the most extraordinary violinist the world has ever seen, and then-- well-- he blows up the moon.
Again and again, he ends up triggering apocalypses every time he steps out, takes a stand. He saves a little kid's life, and THAT action ends up eating up the entire universe.
He can't catch a break. All he wanted was to be a hero like his siblings, and it KEEPS. GOING. WRONG.
I am OBSESSED with this. I'm obsessed with this kid who cried when his brothers stepped on ants unwittingly destroying all life as we know it over and over again. I need him to break this cycle, I need him to prove that he CAN be powerful AND have good results, I need to see it as a fellow struggling-to-get-out-of-her-self-esteem-pit doormat who only wants to do GOOD, and I ache for him when he doesn't. But in a good way. Because it's fiction and I savor the angst.
Which brings us up to Season Four, under the cut.
So, six years have passed since Viktor got off mood suppressants, tasted power, came out as trans, and got asked by the brother who used to completely ignore him and once locked him in a sound-proof cell to serve as Best Man at his wedding. He's been living a completely new life! We saw in the trailers that he's a bartender, but then you get his location establishing shot and it turns out it's HIS BAR. HIS NAME IS OVER THE DOOR.
Reader, I reacted vocally, out loud, to this reveal. HE built and runs this genuinely nice bar all by himself! Look how WELL he is doing for himself! Okay, he can't maintain a relationship for the life of him (but that's okay, it's just he hasn't realized that Five is his Soulmate SORRY I WILL PROBABLY DO IT AGAIN) (also, I'm very tickled that his last girlfriend was named Amy. I'm flattered, really), but otherwise he has built a darn nice life for himself. (It gives me the same bittersweet feeling as this one Fiktor fic--there's your warning, don't like don't read-- by @sissytobitch10seconds, "Completely Alone," in which Viktor runs off to become a farmer without telling anyone. Sure, he's isolated himself from the family he once longed to feel a part of, and that's a little sad, but he's working well and quietly, and living fully and in peace, and I love that for him!)
And from here on out, you can just see how far he's come-- the confidence in the way he talks to the siblings he used to be in awe of! The way he doesn't hesitate to share his ideas-- and the way the others actually listen to his ideas now!
And then the majority of the season for him becomes coolly (and...sometimes not so coolly-- but much more in CONTROL than he was six years ago) standing up to the father who belittled, sedated, and gaslit him (or, a variation of said father, at least), and being respected back.
It was just so SATISFYING.
One little victory-- um, viktory?-- that stood out for me was when he had the idea to infiltrate a militia of cultists by Sharpie-ing an umbrella tattoo on his wrist. The symbolism of this action that had once been a sort of pathetic and misguided attempt at fitting in, he was now reclaiming it for purposes of pretending to fit in, a more important goal forefront in his mind-- it was a little thing but it touched my heart, how he was like, "Oh *I* know what to do! I used to do this all the time!" but this time it actually helped him be a hero.
And then the biggest full-circle moment: he insisted on trying to talk Ben down, to bring him back from the edge of blowing and destroying the world-- just like Ben had done for him at the end of season 2.
If only it had worked.
Anyway, I now direct you to the Venn diagram I reblogged the other day: I liked Viktor's arc: it made me really happy, in fact. It GENERALLY made in-universe sense. It could do with some major improvements as a piece of narrative storytelling, though, and that comes back to the overarching theme of Viktor I discussed before we got to the season 4 stuff.
In the first three seasons, the concept that he WAS the apocalypse was always hanging over his arc, even as he gained control of his powers and emotions and gained confidence in his place in the family. I would not have been happy if he really WAS cursed to always bring about destruction, but I want to see him explicitly break this curse, onscreen. But a lot of his personal growth happened off screen, between seasons-- which is generally a good thing, I'm so happy he's been doing so well-- but I feel like we should have at least acknowledged that the Curse of Being the Apocalypse was still hanging over his head as the season began, and THEN SHOWN him deliberately turning that around, AND THEN HE SHOULD HAVE SUCCEEDED.
Him trying to reach Ben was a start. It was symbolic and circular. But it ultimately didn't work, so bleh. Someone on the Elliott's House Discord suggested that what SHOULD have happened was that Viktor succeeded in removing all the Marigold in the world--from Ben, from his other siblings, from everywhere-- and taking it into himself (an action his long-desired powers had been shown to be capable of) , and then sacrificed himself into the Cleanse to save everyone else. BINGO, full-circle, the Apocalypse becomes the cure, the wannabe superhero becomes the ultimate hero. It's a bummer to have a hero die, but compared to what actually happened in show, this would have been one glorious, well-built-toward death, as opposed to a lot of completely hopeless, emotionally ill-timed deaths.
That would have been narratively a lot more satisfying. I would have accepted the death of my blorbo--sadly, but with acceptance-- if it had been so perfectly heroic in this way.
But I'll discuss the way the show actually ended-- which was, for me, the only serious bummer letdown of the season-- in a separate post.
Two more things about Viktor in season 4, before I go, though:
I appreciated that they at least acknowledged his violin-playing. I could not believe that a professional musician would utterly and completely turn his back on music, and they basically let it drop entirely in seasons 2 and 3. It wasn't just a plot device, it was his vocation, dangit! So when Abigail mentions it to him, and he says it's "really more of a love/hate thing," that makes it all make a little more SENSE. Yeah, sure, he's got QUITE a bit of trauma tied up in the violin now, I guess I'll accept that as an excuse for not getting back into it. I would have made a different choice for him, but at least you gave me a REASON, show, so thanks for that.
Secondly, look, I'm not so naive and deluded to believe that my warped, pseudo-incestuous ship would ever be canon, but Viktor and Five barely said a WORD to each other all season, and I wanted just ONE good one-on-one interaction between them, like we've had every other season-- just ONE MOMENT of the childhood besties/apocalyptic foils-for-each-other being more than distant random family passing like ships in the night. They SHOULD have stuck together at the end of Season 3, to be completely honest-- I did slip in a meaningful explanation for why they didn't in that fix-it scene yesterday-- but I'd settle for just...anything at all!...when they reunited. Ah well.
I was honestly just so happy that Viktor had grown so much, that I'm willing to accept a LOT of things-I'd-rather-have-happened not happening.
And that's where I'll leave this post. I'll make a few more-- at least one whole post about the end (going from my favorite part of the season to my LEAST favorite part of the season-- but I have a lot to say about it that is not just emotional ranting!), one post about the infamous love triangle (which I am not opposed to despite it going against my own ships, and I'll have lots to say about that, too), and at least one post of miscellaneous observations, if any of those topics don't jump out at me and demand I give them their own post as well.

Seen some theories and fanfics touching the Rayllum possession plot so I'm gonna show my own thinking of what may happen. These are mixed with said fanfics‚ theories and my own thinking. I’m not a fanfic writer so this is just a messy self indulgent evil thing. They are obviously keeping the love confesion for a really important scene so I think the possession will be the one: Callum gets possessed‚ he goes cray-cray attacking people to the point Ezran and company have to flee‚ Rayla has to stop him from attacking them but she's also the only one who refuses to leave (or maybe they are both alone but her being the one refusing to leave him would be meaningful). Rayla avoids the attack and everything but freezes everytime shes about to hit him‚ she just can't bring herself to hurt him. A moment where her sword is too close to him‚ about to cut him‚ she gets another sepia montage flashback but this time with way more moments between them and tears up. She tosses her swords and decides to go with a different approach‚ once again not caring about what happens to her. She tries to talk to him but after not working and seeing an open spot she goes to hug him or pin him to the ground. We see Callum struggling inside but possessed Callum just PAM stabs her with one of her blades‚ slish takes a victim for the first time and It's her own owner :( She keeps hugging him (or pining him) and Callum eventually breaks free from possession‚ maybe by connecting to the moon or star or just by own will because she got hurt and he needs to help her. Rayla is happy but collapses cuz stabby stab wound. He tries to stop the bleeding with his scarf‚ without much success. She tries to tell him it’s fine even tho she’s bleeding a lot. He hugs her and cries, saying that he can’t lose her and tells her how much she loves her‚ and she says she loves him too before passing out, a kinda happy face because even tho she’s dying, she could save the guy she loves (oh my lord). Callum looks at the prison and talks with Aaravos‚ if Callum frees him‚ he will save her. And he does because he would do anything for her. He frees Aaravos, not because he’s possessed but to save the person he loves since she’s more important that whatever doom may Aaravos bring to the world.
(Option 2: Aaravos dips out and Rayla is saved by mushroom man who saved Zubeia but I'm not beting much in this one.)
Aravos lets them be and goes to do whatever fuckery he is up to, when Rayla wakes up a day later, Callum can’t even bring himself to look at her just like in s4, not out of anger this time but for shame and regret because “he” almost killer her. He’s kinda sadangry that she didn’t kill him and she got injured instead but she explains she could never hurt him and will always stay by his side, finally choosing him by staying instead leaving. They both fully reconcile because they express how important they are for each other, more than the world.

I totally get your point about the kenny/Jane thing. In my opinion the best outcome is letting Kenny kill Jane (honestly Jane brought that to herself, all of them knew that if he lost someone else he would finally go ballistic and she deliberately put him on that spot to prove "a point") and then staying in Wellington, because Kenny acknowledges that he's not fit enough to care for her and AJ anymore, so he begs Clem to stay. He's aware that he's not right for the job, and he accomplished his mission, he stayed loyal to Lee and left. It also gives the opportunity to speculate whether he finally found peace after all his suffering. (Even if the original idea was him offing himself in the Virginia lake after that)
i always find myself struggling to talk about S2 because i know the writers changed direction (multiple times?) as the season was releasing??? which means character arcs and motivations were altered to fit this new direction and its like painfully obvious sometimes especially when it comes to kenny and jane and luke
i hate when writers cant commit to the bit. and that kind of happens with kenny. which is weird because even tho they decided against him literally being carvers character (which wouldve worked perfectly for a luke v kenny ending), they still try to give him that carver storyline. like.. i could see kenny easily being in carvers position at howes. just like lilly in S4 with the delta. these two characters wanted leadership and never liked any pushback from the people around them. i can also see the kenny we knew from S1 turning into a man like carver in S2 (a dude who has lost a lot and whose methods are becoming more extreme to keep people safe) and i think kenny being carver instead wouldve made carver a much deeper and more interesting antagonist. like carver is fine. he works although his beef with this 11yo is weird. but we dont buy it when bonnie tells us he used to be a cool guy. we've only ever seen carver as a murderer. but if it was kenny in this role then immediately we add a lot of baggage to this character and his relationship with clem and her new relationship with the howes group. like we know kenny and we know what hes capable of but we also understand his motivations and we do believe that deep down kenny does want whats best to keep his people safe. and clem reappearing in the life of THIS kenny wouldve been Huge as he wouldve already begun his descent and clem is the only one who can really get through to him (like they still try to do when all the adults are like "uuuh clem you go talk to the angry man theres no way he'll listen to US"). i think they were afraid of making kenny an outright antagonist though and instead tried to have their cake and eat it too which just kinda...leads to mess... commit to your characters dark spirals and downfalls i hate this wishy washy bullshit. plus having kenny as carver instead wouldve centered clem in the howes discussion more. as it stands she just kinda gets swept up in everyone elses bullshit and just has to go along with it. classic child experience tho
jane pretending that aj was dead to intentionally push kenny over the edge just to "prove" to clem that hes dangerous was SOOOOO unnecessary jane!!! like we know girl!! we know!!! and when he tries to kill her for it its like...i know you saw this coming jane so how did you expect this to end?? was she just hoping she'd win the fight? she even tells clem to stay out of whatever was about to happen (plus she does genuinely put ajs life in real danger by leaving him in that car where they were lucky to hear his cries). but i think this problem stems from them changing it out from being a luke v kenny showdown. i think that ending wouldve culminated more naturally as their beef was slowly building since they first met. disagreement in leadership styles. that silly little middle school "choose who to sit with at dinner" thing felt like foreshadowing of a luke v kenny fight that just never happened. they needed to create a reason for kenny to attack jane as jane doesnt care about leadership she cares about keeping herself safe so the whole aj thing just....feels forced. like... jane why....Why........ where did your self preservation go...its like your whole character...
so...yeah.... i have a lot of conflicting feelings about S2 and its ending. on my recent playthrough i had clem tell kenny that maybe lee Shouldnt have come to save her in S1, trying to be all "boo hoo im so sad i get everyone i love killed boo hoo" and kenny responds by saying he should SMACK her for that???? i was so shocked that i missed taking the screenshot of it. i gasped audibly... turned into a "matter of time" situation for me (even tho things seem fine enough in the S3 flashbacks hes weirdly normal again and still talking about boats). kenny is definitely a broken man hanging on by a Singular Thread by the end of S2 and jane snaps it. this is why i like leaving kenny behind at wellington. clem and aj are definitely the light of his life at this point and he wants whats best for them. leaving them at wellington is really the best thing he can do for them both and its very sad because we know he Needs them. and clem would want to hold onto whoever she has left so its hard for her too. throughout all the seasons clem and aj are seen as the light in the darkness the hope for the future yadda yadda and kenny losing that? yeah i can see why the virginia lake idea was a thing. but thats ALSO why i like the clem shoots kenny ending. this man just wants it to be over he misses his family so much he cant take this shit anymore. staying with kenny into S3 really feels like we're stretching out his character as far as possible. it kinda feels like they hit the reset button on him and hes back to talking about boats. i feel like post S2 they just didnt really know what to do with him or jane. i feel like their endings in S2 are the most narratively fulfilling for their characters and i want clem to enter S3 on her own

Green Brothers s4 - 5 lore drop? Please? I am so excited about this AU!
Of course! It's a bit long
So Zane dies still at the end of s3. Morro had already been distant and angry since the end of s2 but watching one of his best friends die was a huge tipping point like it was for the rest of the guys. When Lloyd goes gathering all the ninja, Morro just happens to be working at the Chen's Noodle House they go to. He's there to witness the invitation to the island and got one himself.
The plot still basically goes the same. Spy plot. Skylor still covers her tattoo and is the spy. But now there's 2 spies. The ninja would never have guessed it was one of their own. Morro is on the side of Chen to the point he has an Anacondrai tattoo.
Morro is only revealed during the transformation spell. He's there with Lloyd and the crew. Garmadon falls to his knees in pain and Morro also collapses. Everyone is shocked of course and that's when Chen and crew swoop in to take the blade copters and Roto Jet. Morro takes off and joins them without an explanation.
Lloyd is of course devastated because why would his cousin (doesn't know is actually his brother) join Chen. Garmadon assumes Chen manipulated poor young Morro with a promise of power. They're not mad at him yet, just disappointed.
Cut to Morro overhearing Chen tease Garmadon about the letter and he's horrified but also extremely upset. That man is the reason for his family issues. So he takes off on his own. He's upset at himself, upset at his family, upset at Chen. That was the last poor Morro was seen alive.
Chen and the other fake Anacondrai are sent to the Cursed Realm and Garmadon sacrifices himself. Lloyd asks if anyone has seen Morro but he's nowhere to be found. Wu and Misako still don't tell Lloyd about Morro fully. He just lost his dad, he can't have them telling him he could've also lost his little brother.
Meanwhile, Morro is running. He gets as far away as he can. He disappears into an old yet familiar set of mines. The Caves of Despair. Perfect, he thinks, exactly where he belongs. Morro curses himself. He's angry and sad. He's then trapped in a cave during a localized earthquake and can't get out. Rocks fall and hit him in the head, the cave starts to fill with toxic gas. Morro slumps down against a rock and passes.
Sometime passes and Lloyd is still trying to find Morro when he's summoned to the museum. Strange things occur and once the ghost reveals himself, Lloyd is horrified. There's Morro. A ghost. Attacking and now possessing Lloyd.
Season 5 still plays out basically the same. Morro reveals that Lloyd is his brother, yells at Lloyd that he took everything from him, and that he's going to have his revenge.
At the end when Morro gets grabbed by the Preeminent and gives Wu the Realm Crystal, Wu apologizes to his son and begs him to come back to them and that he forgives him. Morro cries and takes up the offer and gets pulled out to safety. Lloyd comes back out of a Realm portal, sees Morro and gets ready to attack, but Wu stops him and tells him Morro is ready to apologize and reform. Then the whole family hugs and apologizes. Morro finally gets a full family hug. And that's how season 5 ends

Looking forward to in S4
What I look forward to the most in S4, that I hope is included, is how much of a pathetic adorkable loser Rupert is.
So, Rupert has never stopped loving Lari this whole time. But he lies (!!) and tells her he "loved" her, because she had told him to stop loving him, and he wanted to respect that wish (cries).
He was SUPER WORRIED ABOUT HER when she disappeared a second time, and brought her back to the palace against her will because he was worried and anxious out of his wit's end and the palace is safest place for her right now. BUT, he's so scared that she'll hate him and be angry, that he only visits her and peeks in when she's asleep. The poor guy made a bold decision to bring her back but is actively hiding from her for a few days and maintains a distance. This causes Lari to worry that HE hates her and is ignoring her ^^; When she finally corners him in his office to talk, he pretends to be distant and cold, but they're able to speak somewhat normally as before. When she momentarily passes out during the walk back to her room, he freaks out and now has maids attending and watching over her and making sure she's well cared for.
The next few days (after seeing that Lari doesn't hate or fear him as much, and that she had visited HIS office), he visits her a few times a day to chat, and finally hears from her that she doesn't hate or fear him, but also she doesn't know what to think about him or being back at the place. He still treats her as gently and kindly as ever, which she notices. The next time they meet, after some dramatic moments, Lari finally confesses her feelings, and Rupert hilariously immediately drops his "smooth, cold, Emperor" act and goes back to the goofy and crushing Rupe we know :'DDD (from manhwa chapter 90-106)
Even Louis is shocked at Rupert's instantaneous simpery change, where every break he has, he spends with Lari now - they do low key stuff like reading together, just chatting, spending time in the garden etc - just enjoying each other's presence and catching up. I'm very much looking forward to the super sweet Rupe after that confession. So much sweetnesssss. Also it's so funny how Lari takes Rupert's coldness and fierceness in stride "yup, that's him... i used to be afraid of his glare" hahah

your favorite characters from attack on titan? and why?
oh em gee 🧚‍♀️✨ i will gladly n excitedly answer this question (spoilers below cut)
i’ll do a top three lol
my fave character in the whole series was hange :””) i lovveeddd them from the very beginning when i watched aot s1 in 2013 so its been a decade long love ✋🏼😩 i cried so hard during s4 pt3 :””) but yeee i just adore the nerdy scientific characters that aren’t scared of the imminent threat of the verse but rather intrigued and curious to almost a point of insanity lol. but i think the hange scene i loved the most was during midnight sun (BEST AOT EP EVER I’LL DIE ON THIS HILL) is when mikasa is terrified of armin not being the one they bring back to life n hange says something like “there are people that i wish i could bring back too” 😭😭 idk that scene hit me rly hard n really quantified the amt of loss in aot i think
my second save character is reiner >:3 bc he’s so babygirl n i wanna make him my housewife. LOL jk naw but i HATED that man s2-s3 bc his whole multiple personality thing was such bullshit like 🙄 ok so you’ve killed sm of my fave characters but you’re still acting like a good guy??? go fuck yourself dude. BUT i started to get intrigued by his character when he was so committed to giving ymir’s letter to christa during shiganshina arc in s3 pt2…and then s4 rolled around and i fell IN LOVE W HIM. he was the only marleyan side warrior eldian that showed the right amount of remorse for what they did on paradis island, and although his backstory is so sad n its obv not his fault he was groomed into a war machine at such a young age, it was nice that isayama made him so guilty to the point of suicidal ideation. and he pulled THROUGGGH during the finale omg the scene where jean held onto him and said he is also a scout☝🏼😭 fuck yeah. also i’d like to impregnate him
my third fave character UUGHHH ITS TOO HARD THERES SO MANY but honestly i just have to say eren. i have soooo many mixed opinions ab eren’s character i could talk ab his character for HOURRSS but s1-3 eren was my BABY. my SON. MY SUGAR PLUM PUMPY UMPY UMPKIN. i mean he was pretty generic shonen protagonist coded lol but he was just such a sweetheart that was so hotheaded n determined to take care of the ppl he loved. it was always so easy to empathize w him on so many fronts n i love characters like that. however his character took an interesting turn in s4, and although i don’t agree w his actions in s4, i can’t say i didn’t want to see him succeed either…super weird, i still don’t quite know how to feel ab the events of the rumbling (i mean i err on the side of it was incredibly evil of him) but the fact there’s sm nuance to his character, regardless of whether i agree w him or not, means he’s one of my faves (we dont talk ab his character in the ending though. shhh. to me aot ends s4 ep28…sorry)
honorable mentions: armin, erwin, levi
least favorite character: zeke (die mf die)
YEEEEE THANK YOU FOR ASK BB i love talking ab aot <333 lmk what ur faves are if you’d like to 👀

MAG 91 - baking apple pie
After being all brave and sassy with Jude Jon definitely has learned a lesson or two about meeting up with avatars, although this one seems a lot nicer. Offering him a cup of tea instead laughing at him and threatening him.
JON "I… Where did you get that scar?" [LONG SIGH AS THE SOUND OF RUSHING AIR RISES] MIKE "And I was trying so hard to be polite." - Well, that lesson wasn't enough though…
MIKE "The air… it doesn’t… leave your lungs like you expect it to." - I hate falling, so I never did anything like bungee or something like that… But sometimes when it's super stormy outside it feels like the storm blows the air you want to breath out of your mouth. Terrible feeling.
"Not unless that’s what happened to your hand, but I’m guessing that burn came from sticking it somewhere it wasn’t wanted. And you still didn’t learn." - Yeah, even Crew knows it..
"The part that always bothered me was how I didn’t remember it. Not really." - Ohhh, does the "not really" flood already slowly start here? I know in S4 there's sooo many of them, and we heard it in S1 and 2 also a couple of times.
"Did you know that Lichtenberg figures are fractals?" / "The thing that chased me, you see, it was an arcing branch of the Twisting Deceit, taken shape to follow me. But the shape it had taken more rightly belonged to the sky. To those same vast unknowable heights that blessed book wanted to take me." - Another one of those edges, a phenomenon of the sky bleeds into It Is Not What It Is.
Daisy is so brutal… Kicking Crew a few additional times just to be sure… And we see some of her apologist nature. Tricking herself into only hunting monsters.
JON "So… so what now? You kill us? …" DAISY "You think he’s going to save you?" JON "What? What, no –" [GUNSHOT] [JON CRIES OUT] - again, Daisy. Is. So. Brutal. She just shot a dude right in front of Jon. Because it's fun to see his fear…
DAISY "One packet cigarettes, Silk Cut. One lighter, gold, spiderweb design. Hm." - Oh hi there you sneaky little thing! Also Jon totally smoking again…
God, hearing Jon gurgling and whimpering is so hard to listen to.
DAISY "You been following me, Basira?" - Basira is Daisy's soft spot… How her voice wavers here.
DAISY "You don’t know what he is. You don’t know what it’s like to have your secrets pulled out like teeth, just because he asked?" - On my first listen I didn't understand what all this "stop asking question" and then they just answer them as all about. This is when it finally clicked.
JON "I thi- I thi- I think it was Elias." DAISY "Yeah. Well he’s on my list too." - Lol, that tone in Daisy's voice.
JON "What about Mike?" DAISY "Who? Oh. Grab a spade." - Can you imagine, fours days ago Jon got his palm completely burned and now this murder cop tells him to dig a hole to bury the person she just shot in front of him or she'll shoot him too if she's merciful or cut his throat if she's not.
Godd poor guy

final maisel musings
As a single episode of television, I thought the final episode did a great job. We got see to Midge’s “big break” and it honored all the important relationships in her life and how they had evolved over the years, most importantly Midge and Susie. In some ways it felt like a very traditional, old-school finale, leaning into the emotions inspired by the ups-and-down’s of all the characters’ journeys and Midge’s final triumph. No major surprises, no reveals, no surprise break-ups. I think the flash forwards also did a good job of filling in some blanks while still leaving a lot to the viewer to imagine for themselves...I suspect Joel and Midge probably “reconnected” several times throughout their lives, but never permanently, and I like to think Midge was particularly devoted to Abe in his final years. There seems to be some discourse about how Midge is “alone” in that huge apartment and whether or not she is “happy”, which irks for me a variety of reasons too lengthy to go into here. I appreciated the show ending with Midge and Susie’s relationship so firmly at the center of the episode...it was their journey, their growth, their connection at the heart of the show. Rachel B and Alex Borstein are really an all-time pairing of actresses.
Susie living in Hawaii keeping a bunch of loud birds was a note-perfect happy ending for her. The final scene fading out on their laughter together, cracking each other up...just wonderful. I laughed and almost cried at that final conversation about what kind of animal they would like to be reincarnated as...Midge saying very seriously “I think I would make a cute squirrel” killed me.
The Midge/Lenny stuff was also all just really gutting and bittersweet and lovely. The Chinese food scene...ugh. I think the point of TMMM is that it actually features many different types of romances...in a lot of ways the writers were very unequivocal that Midge and Lenny were the kind of soaring “star-crossed lovers” romance that is all the more beautiful and poignant because of its brief and mostly unrealized nature. It’s a testament to the casting, the actors, and the writing that they made all of Midge’s romances (Susie, Joel, Lenny, even that Benjamin guy) come across so specifically different and complex.
As a whole season, I think S5 was characterized by ASP’s usual all-over-the-place nature as a writer, investing a lot of time and energy in certain relationships and set pieces and bits and not investing enough in others. But this isn’t new, it's been true for all the seasons, so you take the good with the bad. Considering how the major “reveal” early in the season was that Susie and Midge had a falling out, I would have liked to see more about how they reconciled beyond Midge sending a nice video to Susie! Did Midge just get over the mob/Joel in prison thing after enough years had passed?? Did Susie go back to managing her?? When/how did the actual reunion take place?? I would have infinitely preferred more of that plot than twenty minutes of a musical about trash compacting or Abe’s antics at the Village Voice. The relationship could have been given a little more weight in this season.
As for Gordon Ford, I really enjoyed the late-night show as the main setting and Reid Scott’s performance as a diva late-night host. But I do feel the character was underwritten in the latter half of the season when it came to the nature his objection to Midge appearing on the show and his vague role as the “villain.” It just felt like ASP was seeing something in the character or the chemistry between RS and RB that didn’t come across to the viewer. But I will never be opposed to ASP finding RS for S4 and deciding to make him a bigger part of S5. (related we needed way more about Gordon and Hedy's relationship, and Hedy needed her own show!)
In any case, I had sort of checked out of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and was surprised at how much I enjoyed coming back to the show and its fantasy version of NYC and its incredible production values and costuming. The discourse here made me a little insane (par for the course on Tumblr, I guess), but the show more than made up for it. Tits up, y’all!

OKAY HEAR ME OUT! i have an idea!
Lucas is kinda bit popular but he doesnt even know it like- some of the girls are always blushing when his playing or just walking past by or just studying/doing homework. Dustin notice it and told him but he kept saying thats impossible theres no one in this school like him.
While El is being oblivious she didnt even know some guys/girls having a crush on her, will always notice them staring at her smilling in her dress before but didnt say anything cuz he doesnt know how she will react.
meanwhile max somehow getting bullied by some girls who likes lucas, they kept telling her to get away from lucas his ours, max is so confused but deep down shes asking herself did he cheated on her and el?
Shes glad that she still have el but mike told her about el popularity because will told him that some guys or girls are always staring at her but dont notice it.
max felt jelousy around her body but at the same time sadness... everyday when el, max, lucas going on dates shes always acting weird, one day lucas and el notice it and decided to ask her if shes okay but max always said shes fine, they dont believe her and ask her if they did something wrong? she left a sigh and said shes breaking up with them and sorry for everything, just like that and run away and cried on her sheets,
will el and lucas will get her back if they found out the truth why she break up with them? or they will just give up?
OH GOD SEBY U ARE BRILLIANT like its such a good idea?? asdfghjk
Okay so firstly- the wouldn't just give up, no way.
Secondly - welp, they actions kinda depends on in which au it is. Like, if it would be post s4 than Lucas would know better than to leave Max alone with her problems. If it's in new au, then well- I think Lucas would be kinda dumb lol. Like, with that thinking that he get her back every time, so he will get her back this time too.
Without El, Lucas probably would leave her for a while and give her space, and then buy her something.
But El is also his and Max's partner and she can't just let go of her gf.
She wants to come to Max, but Lucas wants to give her space and in the end, they agree of coming to Max now and buying her a gift,
They end up in front of her doors with her mum saying that she feels sick and she can't hang out with them. Lucas and El know that it's obviously not true. They want to barge into the house, but Max's mum whispers to give her daughter again and she will come and see them.
So they do. In that time, they hang out with a Party and that's when our big brain Mike says "just go on the roof and knock on her window. It worked on Nancy when Steve came to her" and that made Dustin and Will go feral, but Lucas and El looked at each other and mentally agreed that it's their next step if Max won't see them tomorrow.
She didn't.
So in the evening, they went to her. El use her powers to lift Lucas and herself on the roof, and then Lucas knocked on Max's window.
She was so, so surprised, but opened the window, even if only because she was worried that her two dumbasses will fall.
Then they talk. Some crying and yelling later, and Max finally confesses why she broke up with them. El hugs her, saying that she didn't even notice because she only looks at her and Lucas. And Lucas says that this perfect body of his is reserved only for her (Max) and El.
Max laughs because they both are being stupid and romantic, and god, she missed them.
They end up asleep on Max's bed.
(Fortunately, Max's mum saw that and called Hopper and Lucas' mum so there won't be any problems)

My notes on The Dragon Prince S4 (spoiler bits will be beneath the cut if you just want a non-spoiler review)
In Summary: Returning to the world of Xadia after 3 years leaves me with the sense that I can no longer enjoy the show without also reading the books and comics. The gap between Season 3 and Season 4 leaves so much character development in the past that it feels like this is another Season 1 to a second half of the story. I can only hope Seasons 5-7 reach and surpass the heights of Seasons 2 and 3.
Let's open with the elephant in the room: The season that gets the special treatment of a subtitle, "Mystery of Aaravos", lore dumps his backstory by episode 4. While not necessarily a bad thing, there's still plenty of details we could learn about, a reveal like that really blunders the whole "Mystery" part of the title. And if the point of the story isn't learning about Aaravos and instead about how the protagonists deal with him, a title like "Aaravos' Gambit" would be a lot less disappointing after 3 years of build-up concludes a "mystery" like that.
As characters, our protagonists are little else but vessels to experience the story with. Ezran is seemingly over his anxieties as a child king and is always praised as wise beyond his years. Callum and Rayla are back to awkwardly walking around their feelings. An understandable development given Rayla's disappearance, but their troubles don't have enough depth and end up feeling like the same old same old. Ezran approaches an interesting arc, having to deal with integration of Katolis and Xadia while people are still rightfully angry, but is then literally told "but the world needs you" and puts that on pause.
Our antagonists end up even more disappointing in terms of character development. Viren opens the season with a potentially tragic story: a villain who's gone over the edge, died, and has come back disillusioned by glory and only sorry to spend time with a daughter who's been hurt too much and is now doomed to take his place. As the intro visualizes, his regret with his actions come only too late. He is now a frozen piece, moving Aaravos' great game along without concern for his feelings. But then he ends up as a mostly silent character for the bulk of the season and the moment he wields his staff by the end he literally reverts to the pale-skinned power-hungry folly he supposedly regretted.
Now I did actually like the B-plot with Amaya and Janai. Being predictable doesn't mean it's bad, and personally I think it was better paced than the main story. The Dragon Prince was promoted early on for its portrayal of messy race relations, and I felt Amaya and Janai's story took up that mantle while the main protagonists went on to have a pretty standard save-the-world adventure plot.
There were several points where the pacing felt especially stilted. The worst offenders all happen in the episode The Drakewood, funnily enough. Rayla declares "I have an idea", we cut to The Sunfire Elves for a bit, and return in the middle of the action without explanation for why Rayla has the Earthblood Elf's attention instead of him hunting for Zym. Soren desperately cries "oh no!" when he finally sees his dad is alive, only for him to appear next as completely ready lay his sword to fight for "the good guys". This is severely lacking the depth Soren had in previous seasons, where having to go against his family was especially painful despite knowing it's the right thing to do. And, I don't know, I'd have to imagine seeing your abusive father alive after 2 years would bring up some bad memories and potentially relapse his behavior (see: Zuko betraying the Gaang in ATLA at Ba Sing Se at the promise of his father's approval.) But we don't get to see if there was conversation, or Soren's internal dilemma, or even Viren berating Soren again and driving home that Viren is super ultra evil.
Zubeia, Queen of the Dragons, is honestly nothing more than a plot device that either explains things to our protagonists or saves them in the nick of time. She visits Katolis seemingly only so Zym and Ezran can reunite, laughs at people's antics, then carries the entire Katolis royal family away on a whim on an adventure only to be rendered useless for most of it and returns to the Storm Spire just to come and save the cast from Rex Igneous at the last minute.
I'm honestly at a loss as to how this season dropped the ball, especially when you can see hints of good storytelling and foreshadowing: That moment The Key of Aaravos shows Stella is connected to Startouch magic, and then later we see her randomly teleport a Moon Opal away somewhere? That was interesting! That had me instantly worried that Stella was actually a plant by Aaravos and Stella gave him access to a magic stone after so long in isolation.
And of course, none of this can be said without acknowledging the many books, comics, and other supplementary material released in the 3 years between Season 3 and Season 4. I did not have the energy to keep up with all those and I am aware some of those fill in gaps (especially the 2 year break between S3 and S4.) But honestly? I feel I shouldn't have to. The gap between ATLA and Korra is long and there are supplementary comics (and now a movie!) between the two time periods. But both work together even without reading the extended material, and Korra does not feel incomplete if one hasn't read the comics.
All in all, I feel disappointed. I have my hopes up, and of course there's seasons 5-7 to pick up the slack, but honestly why? In the end, Season 4 feels like another Season 1: a story just waiting for the gaps to be filled in to be truly appreciated. But why are we starting from scratch?

bet u all thought u’d seen the last of my 911 lb but u’d be wrong
ali martin in 2x02-2x03 is my queen. she deserved better than being a half-hearted love interest who showed up three times before an off-screen breakup.
im sooooo in love with season 2 eddie
christopher was so small…he was just a baby…cries forever
god eddie’s so beautiful in season 2
and so is maddie…wow
it takes less than an episode for buck’s animosity towards eddie to completely dissolve and for eddie’s defences to completely fall. like five interactions and they’re working together in perfect harmony in the midst of a completely unexpected disaster. and a huge part of that is having to rely on each other with the grenade, so that after that up close and personal emergency they can handle the earthquake easily. but also well firstly eddie complimented buck one (1) time and buck immediately rolled over. and then secondly buck reassured eddie about christopher, enough that eddie even made a joke (a joke!) about it. they say they’ll have each other’s backs and then they Do, so instinctively and automatically even when they barely know each other…it’s like they Already know each other
all this to say. we might end up real close.
heart of a champion guy is one of the calls i teared up at the most when i watched the first time
i loveeee the earthquake i remember getting to the end of 2x02 and being like it CANNOT end there and then it did so i played the first 5min of 2x03
but s2 supremacy fr not only does it start off well but it ends well too whereas 1x10 is a bit forgettable (beyond bathena) and while the tsunami is the best emergency they’ve done 3x18 is meh (train derailment is not that great imo but i’ll have to watch it again to fully decide). end of s4 is obvs incredible but 4x01 (while good) isn’t as amazing as the end. the s5 blackout has a lot of promise but they dropped the ball a bit but end of s5 was good….i don’t even remember 6x01 lol and 6x18’s the weakest finale so far.
STUCK TIME EVERYBODY CHEER
every episode should start off exactly like this i’m not even kidding
yes so true pepa eddie is a saint
EVERYONE IS SO SWEET WITH CHRISTOPHER STUCK IN THE MIDDLE MONTAGE MY BELOVED
BOBBY EDDIE HUG OHHHHHH IM SICK
maddie and eddie are sooooo swoonworthy in season 2 like it’s actually crazy
i love the way chimney’s arc with tatiana was handled
also i love carla they need to bring her back lol where has she been
at the end of the episode buck sits down at the foot of abby’s bed. not even on the bed. the foot of her bed….
i think buck and taylor’s first meeting is actually so damn cute. their relationship is so intensely compelling to me in a really terrible, hot way. though i obviously wish they’d handled things differently in most of s5
