Hello, yes, I’ve been thinking about the Diasomnia ice-cream parlor AU again 🍨🍦 I guess I must have been really hungry lately www

I see them as offering not just ice-cream, bur also variants like gelato, shaved ice, milkshakes, etc. (They can afford it with support from the Draconia royal family’s funds 😂) The focus here will be ice-cream though, just because that’s Malleus’s favorite.

Imagine walking in and not knowing what to order (there’s so much to choose from!), so you ask the staff to pick something for you… (Yes, I’ve thought about this way too much and now I’m going to shovel this at you—)

Malleus strikes me as a very traditional and old-fashioned guy, so I’d see him falling back on ol’ reliable. You can’t go wrong with a classic sugar cone and a healthy scoop on top!

He recommends mint chocolate chip because it adds an additional pleasant cooling sensation to the actual coldness of ice-cream. Malleus is fond of the flavor himself; it’s great for cooling down a mouth that’s hot from breathing flames!

You’re brave if you accept anything Lilia hands you… You ask him what this is (the ice-cream looks… discolored in some places, and there’s all this weird stuff jutting out from it; is that a piece of lettuce???). He just winks at you and calls it “Lilia-chan’s Super Cute ⭐️ Special”, featuring a bunch of “unique” flavors he created himself.

It comes served in a cup because it’s easier to eat it while walking that way. For Lilia, who is a well-seasoned traveler, foods that are able to be eaten on the go are a plus!

Silver picks out a waffle bowl (it resembles a sturdy bird’s nest) and encourages you to try a lot of different things. It’ll help you to gain an appreciation for the new and unfamiliar! With how wide the waffle bowl is and how many flavors and toppings are in there, this can be good for sharing with friends from all over.

The particular version featured in the doodle has three kinds of ice-cream, each one representing one of the three Good Fairies. A pink flavor, a blue flavor, and a green flavor—maybe rose or strawberry, blueberry or cotton candy, and pistachio? It’s a very naturey palate.

His animal friends have helped with the ingredients; there’s honey drizzled on top, as well as crushed nuts. Freshly picked berries and edible flowers garnish the bowl too—oh, and we can’t forget a generous chunk of honeycomb!

… I don’t know much about Kingdom Hearts, but I’ve heard that Silver resembles Riku from KH?? So maybe Silver can offer some sea salt ice-cream too as a throwback 😂

… Was anyone surprised by this? No? No.

Sebek chose a tall parfait glass for serving so that the dessert can be as tall as possible. It’s a matcha and ube soft serve, swirled high. The green is Diasomnia’s color, and the purple is meant to be the color of the underside of Malleus’s cape. (Sebek wanted to include black ice-cream to for the Draconia royal color, but couldn’t find a good flavor.)

Art isn’t his forte, but Sebek did his best to “recreate the imposing, elegant image of wakasama” in his dessert. The cherry on top, flanked by two conical chocolate pieces, are meant to be Malleus and his horns. The wafer poking out is supposed to “enhance the young master’s presence”. All the other things are extra details in an effort to make the ice-cream larger than life: candied fruit peels arranged in a line (to resemble the spines on a dragon’s tail), mochi balls (“magestones”) piled to one side, and a chocolate biscuit stick + wafer that, together, look like Malleus’s staff.

Sebek tried really hard! … He will aggressively try to sell you on this item.

If you’re really hungry or with a large group, why not go for the Diasomnia Family Fundae? It’s their take on a sundae, served in a glass boat. There’s a whole banana, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and three maraschino cherries! The bramble is made of dark chocolate.

Each student is represented by one scoop and a little candy or chocolate that helps to characterize the boy (horns, bat wings, lightning bolt, or sword). Sebek is a lemon-like sherbet, befitting of his loud, in-your-face personality. Lilia is a bright red berry flavor (strawberries, cherries, cranberries, etc.), like his favorite red juices, deep and complex. Silver is vanilla bean, pure, simple, and earnest. (He could also be a subtle lavender flavor, since that's a flower known to ease you into sleep.) And Malleus… well, that scoop is a pitch black, but the flavor is something you can’t quite place your tongue on. It’s a mystery, just like he is! (Maybe the shop changes the flavor every now and again. They can run a promo where if you guess the right flavor combo for that particular week’s Malleus scoop, they give you a discount or a free cone.)

A lot of chocolate sauce is dripping down from the Malleus scoop; this is because the sauce is supposed to be his “blot”. The bottom three scoops—Lilia, Sebek, and Silver—are blanketed by the chocolate thorns as a reference to how those three were sentenced to sleep.

When this guy indulges (very rarely), he can't decide on just one flavor, so the easiest thing to do is get multiples. If he can go to a shop where you order by the scoop, he'll ask whoever is behind the counter what the popular or new or their faves are and try three of those. Mace, I believe, can pack away some ice cream.

Curtis Everett - Birthday Cake or Cotton Candy

The sickliest sweet things are a delight to Curtis. He's never gotten over how bland and boring and miserable the food of his childhood was. He goes nuts for sugar overload, but in intensity of taste, not in volume.

Jimmy Dobyne - Peach

Fruity, refreshing, creamy, and just screaming to add a dirty joke onto the end of it, Jimmy will use any excuse to sneak a double-entendre into polite conversation with a pretty lady. "Your peaches taste the sweetest..." Yeah, dessert is more about flirting than it is about eating. Ice cream is nice in the heat, however, so it's a great date option.

Johnny Storm - Cookies & Cream

With extra cookie crumbles and caramel sauce on top, he'll demand. Sprinkles, too, if you have it. Maybe some gummy worms or cereal. At least, like, five cherries. Oh! Also preferred that it be hard frozen when he starts eating so that it's not soup halfway through his rapid eating of it. The sensation of eating ice cream gets lost when he can barely tell it's cold.

Jake Jensen - Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip

This flavor has everything (and yeah, ok, I am projecting a bit on this one, whatever). Jake likes a whole lot of flavors and textures; he's actually not picky at all. He does enjoy ~the hunt~ for this rarer find in all his travels because raspberry is a popular flavor--it's often a sorbet though--but it's not the most popular of the berry options. He also will try all of the crazy niche flavors at hole-in-the-wall places. Conversely, it is easier to work while not holding a bowl or cone, so Jake loves a good milkshake or malt. Those he can sucked down like air.

Lloyd Hansen - Mint Chocolate Chip

My theory is this man is obsessed with fresh: fresh food, fresh sheets, fresh intel, fresh meat. Bet you his lip balm is always, only mint, too. Very classic. Very pristine. Fresh. Sweetness with a purpose.

Ari Levinson - Butter Pecan

Fine, I'm projecting again, idec, but you can't tell me Ari isn't this kind of old soul who loves not-overly-sugary treats! You cannot change my mind. That guy loves the crunch of candied pecans in there, he freaking lives for that rounded slightly-savory sweet cream flavor, and he loves that it's widely available but never sold out anywhere. Easy!

Ransom Drysdale - Coffee

And it's weirdly been that way since he was too young of a kid to drink coffee? Turns out, this was the flavor his father got but told Ransom he wasn't old enough for, he wouldn't like it. Of course, Ran immediately ordered two scoops of it in a chocolate dipped sprinkle cone, and while he may not have been totally keen on it in that exact moment, coffee-flavor grew on him. He loves it as much as he loves all of the other behaviors that say "f*** you" to his parents.

Steve Rogers - Rocky Road

Created during the Great Depression, this ice cream was shared between Steve and his Ma quite a few nights when he was too sickly to go out but needed a pick-me-up. Bucky enjoyed it with him, too, but it's not his favorite. Steve tends to really enjoy eating only when there's nostalgia attached to the food.

Bucky Barnes - Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter

Rich, velvety, and made slightly different by each company. Sometimes Bucky wants ribbons of fudge and the tiny pb cups mixed in; sometimes he wants full-blown chocolate ice cream with peanut butter swirled in. Can't go wrong. Only good, heavy, decadent happiness vibes.

Pinkttore is like a pack of mystery gummies, each one different flavoured!

Oh the berries in my header are elderberries! They have many uses in both jams, food colouring, wine, and have many medicinal uses too!

Unless you're eating raw/uncooked berries and flowers, in which case you're gonna be blasting out of both ends and possibly end up comatose. They contain lectin and cyanide so, y'know, don't go plucking these off the bush and eating them.

Wanna know something kinda fucked up? These used to grow at my elementary school. There are houses right next door and one had an elderberry tree. There was a big ol' branch right above the sandbox, where all the kids grade 1-3 kids would play. We also had another berry that grew on a tree that kinda looked like blueberries, and we have nightshades growing along the fence. Never addressed by the school. The only time the school addressed a dangerous plant was when walnuts would fall in the school yard, and even then it was because we had one kid with a severe nut allergy.

Tbh I'm surprised I've never heard a story about a kid eating those berries and getting sick. I guess the kids in my class were smart enough to know not to, but there's GOTTA be someone who ate the berries. I know I wanted to eat the elderberries, even though I knew they would probably kill me.

Anyways no, pinkttore is not black currant flavoured, though that DOES give me a funny idea. Maybe depending on what he eats his hair will change to a different shade of pink. Eat too many peaches? Peachy. Eat too much cotton candy? Pastel pink. Eat too much watermelon? Almost red.

I would love for them to bring back the Squid Girl outfit! It’s one of my favorites and it’s sad I can only use it in Splatoon 1 (although I doubt it’ll come back) I would also love for the other dynamos to be added back in (and maybe the Berry Splattershot Pro?? c’mon Nintendo give me the cotton candy weapon)

Fun fact: out of all the Deep Cut idols, Big Man is the only one I didn’t use a reference for! All of those doodles are from memory. And, like the other Deep Cut members, I love drawing him!

☆ Near is really particular with what he likes to eat but...I feel like he would really like Peppermints/Candycanes. I also get the impression he would like lemondrops and maybe Sugar cookies and possibly lemon cookies/ thin mints.

☆Mello on the other hand mostly sticks to milk chocolate. I feel like he really likes Lindors if he had to choose between brands and maybe Hersheys...I feel like besides Chocolate, he really likes hard Caramels (Like Wethers Originals) and maybe Candy Bark. So, here are all of the ponies that are sitting around waiting on work.

I pulled everyone out of the windows and gathered them all together so I could better assess what everyone needs.

Starting in the upper left:

- Blossom, Glory, and Moondancer are the new MegaBaitBox denizens, though I think both Glory and Moondancer will get a turn in the new SunBox. They’re both missing most of their cutie marks and are stained, but being straight up white ponies, maybe they’ll bleach out nicely and be good custom bases as opposed to MegaBait.

- Blossom is a holey hell, though. She’s like a sponge.

- Gingerbread needs more sun time and a rehair.

- Coco Berry needs more sun, touchups, and a rehair. While her hair isn’t cut it is faded almost to white.

- Bouquet needs more sun time. She’s doing very well. Many fewer stains than she had a couple weeks ago, though some seem to be staying.

- Snuzzle has a bright pink stain on one foot and is missing a couple plugs. Might leave it that way. She’s a FF and I don’t want to mess with those any more than I have to.

- Seashell needs more sun and wouldn’t be hurt by a rehair but she has MOST of her tail, still and her mane is good so I’ll probably just leave her with the thin tail.

- Heart Throb needs more destaining on the wing I stained (uuuuuugh), a tiny hole filled in the same wing, a rehair, and touchups.

- Sundance #3 needs sun and a little more hair care.

- Majesty needs a lot of plugs of the blue which I can steal from her tail, but also a few plugs of white which I don’t have. Not sure what I’ll do about that, just yet.

- Molasses needs a little more sun time to get the remnants of orangeness out of her right side and her hair restyled.

- Sniffles needs a little sun fading. Just a little.

- Daddy Sweet Celebrations is still covered in smiley faces and pink ink. His hair is cut so a rehair wouldn’t hurt him but he’s going into my personal collection and I’m not too horribly picky so it’s not a priority.

- Baby Blossom needs sun time and more hair work. The texture of her hair is horrible.

- Baby Tiddley-Winks needs a rehair but she’s Posey color and I’m waiting for the lighter Posey hair to come in stock instead of stealing hairs from her tail to fill her mane since they don’t match each other.

- Snookums and Sniffles both need hair, same Posey problem for the one and I plan to do them together. No reason, really. They’ll both need their heads glued on. They could probably both benefit from some more sun time but they do look a lot better than they did.

- Baby Blossom could use more sun fading on her face and another layer of THF goop on the hole in her leg, which means also sanding.

- Baby Sniffles Again has a hole in her leg that I’ve not started working on at all, yet.

- Baby Glory needs sun fading on her face and horn.

- Baby Cuddles needs sun time.

- Baby Cotton Candy needs photographed. She’s not perfect but she’s good enough to move on.

- FF Butterscotch needs to be 100% dry before I put her back together so I can put her default weights back in. She could use a rehair not only because her hair is still a bit goopy from the plasticizer leech, but it’s also breaking off. Which is a shame because look how shiny and smooth and perfectly colored it is! I don’t want to rehair her if I don’t have to since she IS a Flat Foot.

- Spunky is waiting for me to decide whether I’m keeping her or not. I think she did have a bit of a haircut on her mane since the front and back of it are shorter than the middle, but I’m not sure.

- Sprinkles could benefit from a rehair since most of her tail fell out and what’s left is very thin. Her mane is in such good condition that I don’t really want to rehair her if I can avoid it. I’ll see how it looks after being set. It’s pretty sad. I do have that color of hair on hand.

- Daddy Apple Delight has a double haircut and needs sunfading. While I do intend to sun fade him, he is going into my personal collection and I’m not bothering with his hair at the moment. What’s left is in good condition.

- Mommy is a mess. She needs severe sun fading, assuming the yellowing she has wasn’t CAUSED by UV exposure, would benefit from a rehair (both mane and tail look to be cut a little) and I do have that color on hand, BUT with the yellowing and ripped off head, doesn’t seem worth the effort.

I may keep this one and sell the better looking one just to get the most money back.

- Baby Sister needs her hair set and some touchups to her face paint.

But yeah that’s a LOT of ponies that came in and weren’t resold quickly because they didn’t meet my I’m Ready Doll Parts standards. Not including the ones in the MegaBaitBox that went out. Though many of those I’d had for years and just hadn’t done anything with.

This whole mess started because you got a set of skittles lip balms from someone

Birthday, holiday, saw this nd thought of you, whatever it was

You decided to try out the berry one

You put it in your pocket and head to the dining pavilion for breakfast like normal

When you get there, he gives you a kiss like he does every morning

You’re all eating breakfast and chatting, but you notice Percy keeps licking his lips and staring at you more intensely then normal

like it’s barely 9 am and he keeps giving you The Look

You were a little surprised at how much he likes it

When you first started tasting like his favorite candy on the daily this cute conversation happened when you two were alone in your cabin:

Hair Dye Buddies: Chapter 4

Once in the mall, Mina dragged him along to a store with bright colors and neon and he was so overjoyed to be able to pick a few pastel things, mainly purple, including a long sweater with purple and black stripes and rips strategically placed on it.

Mina's venture in the neon store took a while but everyone let her go about her business, leaving Kaminari with her as he picked up a few yellow shirts and Touya smiled as Bakugou totally didn't sneak a black shirt with orange flames on it into his pile of very purple clothing.

Once they paid at the neon store, Bakugou dragged him more forcefully toward a store with more baggy clothing and stuff he knew he'd see Bakugou wearing. Stuff he was, in fact, wearing as well. He picked out more pants here than anything but black and dark purple and even a couple of pink shirts ended up in his pile.

Mina and Kirishima ended up throwing a few other things in his pile like the black pair of boots they found that were similar to the ones he wore but with chains on them, the many masks Sero and Kaminari picked out for him, and the socks Bakugou smacked him lightly with when he told him he forgot to ask for socks.

The next store was much more his style, black everywhere, some white and colors mixed in but he felt like this place was definitely his favorite. It seemed Kaminari came here a lot because he was already around the store twice while Touya was still looking at the shirts in the front.

"Found some shoes you'll like. They're made for water based quirk combat, ice and snow slip resistant and all." He hummed at them. They actually looked good and even his style with the chains on them and the thick chunky heel with the the slip resistant grip on the bottom.

"Try 'em on, Touya." Mina insisted, forcefully seating him on the benches. He obliged and tried them on for her.

"They're comfortable." Touya realized as he tapped his foot against the ground.

"Yeah, man, this place makes a lot of its stuff usable for quirk combat. A lot of heroes frequent this place for additions to their hero outfits and stuff they can use on the daily if they don't have access to their costume." Kirishima told him.

"My boots are from here. Mine are a lot like yours but shorter and orange soles." Bakugou told him.

"You just like the color orange." Touya told him.

"I won't deny that." Bakugou smirked at him. "Stand up in 'em, Cotton Candy." He obliged and had to hold onto Kirishima for a minute to balance himself in just the one boot.

"Oh wow, I'm tall now. I'm tall, everyone. I'm now a giraffe." He laughed.

"Never been tall, I guess?" Sero asked.

"No, I'm short. I'll bet I won't even get taller during my growth spurt." Touya joked, sitting back down.

"Like em, though?" Mina asked.

"I love them." Touya beamed. The rest of the clothes shopping went well. Then they moved onto grocery shopping in a store within the mall. Mina leading by example and picking out plenty of fruit and some snacks.

"Hey, Space Invaders, we still need to grab dinner, slow down." Bakugou reminded her.

"What do you like eating, Touya?" Kaminari asked.

"I don't know?" He told them unsurely.

"You don't know? You never had a favorite food growing up, man?" Sero asked.

"My father always had a lock on the fridge to keep us all eating properly but then he'd only make what he liked." He admitted quietly.

"Shoto better let others join that Enji Hate Squad." Bakugou mumbled.

"Well, pick out some things you think you'll like. Bakugou here's practically a chef. He'll make it taste good anyway." Kaminari joked.

"Shut your mouth, Dunce Face!" Bakugou threatened and Touya smiled behind his mask.

"So I'm allowed to pick whatever I want." Touya more so was assuring himself he didn't have to pick up food his father would force down his throat.

"Yeah, man, just pick out whatever you think you'll want. We have Sero here, that guy's like a human trash bin. He'll eat anything you hand him." Kirishima assured him.

He went about picking up a few things he thought he'd like, some lotus root, enoki, eggplant, cheese, eggs, and tofu. He also grabbed a few things he had to look at the names of like yuzu, a few noodle bowls, spam, sausages, and he hesitantly picked up chocolate, melon ice cream, and coffee jelly.

Bakugou had disappeared at one point and came back with his own basket full of, assumedly, dinner makings. He sort of understood what he was making, maybe curry but with noodles? Touya couldn't tell since he'd never been allowed to make his own food.

"Alright, if you're happy with what you got, we'll check out and head home." Bakugou told him.

"Yeah, I mean, I don't even know if I'll like some of this stuff." Touya mumbled.

"Human vaccuum, right here." Sero gestured to himself.

When they got home, it was about 6 at night and Bakugou began cooking for dinner. Something that Mina called Jjajjangmyeon. His foods went into one of the communal fridges with his name stuck to them with sticky notes.

"You want anything made special, Cotton Candy?" Bakugou asked as he opened the freezer back up to get the melon ice cream.

"Um, I was just gonna try the ice cream." He felt like he was being caught doing something bad. Maybe, in his head, he thought he was in trouble but he still got his melon ice cream and a spoon out and hesitantly tried it. It was actually amazing.

"Like it, man?" Sero asked.

"This is really good." He admitted.

"Our boy likes melon ice cream!" Mina exclaimed happily from the living room.

"Have you even had ice cream before, Touya?" Kirishima asked.

"Not really. I mean, Dad let us have frozen berries and called that ice cream." He muttered softly, eating more of his ice cream.

"I hate that man." Bakugou muttered, continuing to cook.

"Yeah, all of us siblings do too. Or at least we all did five years ago." He frowned a bit. Dinner was amazing. Touya even had seconds with everyone else. The usual banter around the table was so fun.

"I'm probably gonna bother Mr. Aizawa to train my quirk a little more. I don't wanna fall behind you all, especially when Mr. Aizawa is going to put me in with the provisional licensing exam." Touya told them, sighing as he got himself up to his room, counting as he went to make sure he was going to the right room.

He put on his new quirk-resistant boots in his room and clothing that wasn't Bakugou's. He ultimately decided on a black short sleeve shirt with fishnet sleeves to his wrists attached and black jeans with a lot of metal attached Mina had picked out for him.

Touya was happy looking himself over, his father would never approve but he felt happy in his skin now, which was no longer getting scarred by the quirk too ill-made for him. He realized he had no clue where Aizawa was by the time he left his room, to which Shoto was about to knock.

"Oh, hi." Shoto greeted his rather sudden appearance. "Where are you going?" Shoto asked.

"I was about to go find Mr. Aizawa and ask him if I could train my quirk but I just figured out I don't know where he is." Touya laughed to himself a little.

"Mr. Aizawa's sleeping in the living room downstairs. But Mr. Yamada is around. I can bring you to him and he can watch over your training." Shoto offered.

"Thank you, that would be awesome." Touya smiled. "What did you come here for?" Touya asked on their way down.

"I wanted to make sure you didn't lose the card." He handed it back immediately. "I wanted to make sure you ate."

"Bakugou made jjajjangmyeon so I ate with him and his friends. He and his friends also took me out to buy some food and clothes for myself as well." He told his brother.

"That's good." Shoto was quiet.

"What did you eat?" Touya asked.

"Iida ordered pizza for our friend group. I had mainly Hokkaido cheese pizza but Midoriya made me try some of his Genovese pizza and it wasn't that bad." Touya smiled. "Oh, and how has your day been?" Shoto asked.

"It's okay. I mean, everyone's so nice. besides that little grape gremlin earlier." Shoto stifled a laugh and smiled.

"Yeah, Mineta's like that a lot. I'm sure everyone's just hoping he'll drop out if he doesn't get his provisional license."

"Well, I'm already here taking his spot."

"And you're doing an amazing job with the title so far, Touya. Bring honor to the 19th seat in class. That grape sure doesn't." Touya smiled at his brother and they were out the door after waving to the two friend groups in the kitchen, Sero sneaking pieces of pizza leftover and Kaminari and Midoriya talking about their quirks.
