Day 5: Rabbit, Reclaim

AGJGDFJF FINALLY IT'S DAY 5 SO I CAN POST THIS

For some reason everytime i draw him he looks so young because i'm accidentally overcorrecting since i'm used to drawing older characters. So unfortunately he looks way younger than i meant him to lol, whoops.

But wait there's more- AHAHAHA

While I did initially plan this for GGY week I eventually got the idea to use this as an excuse to draw other GGY designs, soo..

(Not sure why tumblr formatted it that way with 1 of them big but it doesn't matter lol)

I've been wanting to do this for a while, I put the tags of each person next to their design but ofc I'm still gonna tag them in the post itself so you can see their art for yourself if you haven't already. But I enjoyed each of these in their own ways so if you don't mind I think I'm gonna type a bit of text next to them..

@chipistrate This was one of the first I drew out of these, the design was pretty fun to draw but sorry if I messed up a few details, it was a bit difficult lol. The mask and goggles are really fun to draw and they make for a cool design, along with all the glowing blue. (and yes, I tried to subtly include the heelies lol)

@lunzi0 This was the first fursuit one I did lol. I adore the little stars in the design, they personalize it so well and make it really unique. I wanna try this design again since I feel like the other ones show my improvement a bit better, but I hope you can appreciate the effort I put in on my first attempt <3

@carouselrabbit This one was really fun to draw, I absolutely love the eye shape/lashes, it stands out and I always love drawing eyes with a bit of eyeliner lol, the daycare theme legwarmers is a cool nod to the balloon boy arcade machine being connected to them, and was just a fun addition in general lol, I like the style of legwarmers what can I say, fnaf changed my fashion sense a bit. also the subtle paraells to freddy's design is a nice way to connect a bit to gregory himself.

@puhpandas I can't remember if I talked about this design last time I drew it but, overall I'm really happy with how this came out, it's such an indicator of improvement since I started drawing this and I'm glad I was able to draw it better than last time lol. All the patchwork and similarities to Vanny's suit work really well, and the rabbit you chose to base it off of was a good fit, the colors make it a bit more difficult to shade for but i like detail lol, hope you like it too :)

@dykevanny I knew I wanted to do this since I started but I wasn't sure if I'd have time, and I'm glad I did! I hope you don't mind I combined aspects from the first design I saw and the second one you replied to my ask with, I liked the big purple sleeves lol. (I just realized after doing all the shading I forgot to include the oil splatter on his jacket, sorry!) It was definitely a bit difficult due to the head shape being so different but.. fluffy. i love drawing fluff. And the glowing swirl on the goggles, the shape of the ears, I love a lot about this design. :D

I have a hard time with writing compliments but I wanted to get some of those thoughts out, some of the things I like about these designs apply to multiple lol. I adore every one of these designs but I find it hard to put into words what I enjoy about them, hope the original creators are happy with these. <3

I also kept the ggys without as much lighting effects on a separate file, I felt like I should add them since they're a bit brighter lol, makes them look different.

Okay now that I've gotten all that- Sorry this post is so long! I didn't think it'd end up taking up so much space lol. Buut.. working on this drawing and thinking about it and potential context behind it gave me an au idea for it, but I'll put it under the cut since I understand most people probably won't care and just wanna see the drawings lol.

Idk if I'm confident enough to write for it but I'll give a bit of a summary.. I'll keep it under the cut for people who aren't interested and just wanna see the art though lol.

After the main events of SB and Ruin, now that the mimic's been set free, Cassie's taken control of by what's left of Vanny, using her as a new host. But with Cassie being the only human left alive down there, after being reawakened, Dr. Rabbit has nowhere left to go but back to his old host.

Vanessa, Freddy, and Gregory hadn't gone back to the Pizzaplex after ruin, but they were trying to figure out a plan to get Cassie back safely. One night after Freddy and Gregory disappear, Vanessa leaves to go find them. As dangerous as the pizzaplex is, it's her best guess for where they might've gone. She doesn't want to think about what could've happened to them, in denial for the worst case scenario. She tries to keep herself calm by telling herself they probably just left to go back for Cassie, maybe they didn't want her stopping them.. but deep down she knows it can't be that simple. She knows something's off, even if she's not ready to admit it.

When returning to the pizzaplex, she brought along her own V.A.N.N.I. mask, though unlike the one Cassie used, it was clear of the mimic's influence. After all, she was going to need some way to travel through potential blocked routes.

By the time she found Gregory, she'd still been wearing the mask, seeing him down the end of a dark hallway. He looked confused, afraid, his mind was a wreck of conflicting emotions. She started rushing towards him, happy to see him okay, until he finally spoke.

"You need to get out of here."

She stepped back, taking off the mask, only to be faced with the worst case scenario.

It was a wreck, covered in stains and tears, but it was still recognizable. He was wearing that old suit again.

As he waved, she could see Freddy's claws peeking out from the doorway, as the two stepped closer towards her.

So, she did what he told her to do, and started running. She could hear a faint voice coming from the mask, and put it back on before finding somewhere she could hide.

It was his voice again, telling her which way to go.

I guess that was the dramatic way to summarize the main idea behind it, lol. Basically Gregory and Dr. Rabbit work the way Sun and Moon work in Ruin, whichever one is in control in the real world, the other is left behind in the AR world. Or at least that's my interpretation of how they worked, considering Sun was always in mask-on scenes and moon was mask-off. I'm not too sure where the plot might go from there, and maybe I'll consider writing for it, I dunno. I've never wrote fanfic before because I get deadly afraid of writing them out of character lol, but maybe?? I have ideas for scenes and premise and stuff but I don't know if I have the confidence to write it.

But anyway! That was just more of a fun side-idea I came up with while working on this, if you read this far thanks, hope you enjoyed :)

Tiny details I love in the Freaky Friday AU (so far)

This post is consisting of my personal favorite bits in the AU that were either intentional or unintentional. There will probably be more posts like this in the future when more parts come out but for now here's this... (everything will be below the cut)

1. Art style shift

I know whenever I read comics from certain artists, it's kinda obvious when the art style is being developed and changes over time, I find it neat to see how it improves. I use to read a lot of webtoons where the style changes (Lore Olympus is my favorite example) and it's just cool to see it.

Here's what the first part of FF looked like in March 2023 vs August 2023

2. Got better at drawing Monty

I know it's the same thing but before FF, I DID NOT KNOW HOW TO REALLY DRAW MONTY. I know I drew a handful of times before and he looked rough but you could tell it was him. The first two parts you can kinda tell I was getting used to drawing him, especially his mohawk.

FRONT FACING MONTY WAS A PAIN IN THE ASS FOR REAL.

But of course over time he got easier to draw and he looks BETTER.

3. Monty's glasses

Someone pointed out in an ask a while back about how Monty's glasses don't fit on Freddy's face, as if it knows something's up. Kinda happy someone noticed that subtle change.

Plus, as I mentioned, I only did it so you could properly read Freddy's expressions. It adds to the fact that in the first part of chapter 1, we can't really read Monty's expressions very well (at least while he's wearing his shades) while Freddy is very expressive.

4. Freddy's concentration look

I don't know the reason why I did it, but it was cute. And so I kept it.

5. BODY LANGUAGE~

One thing I'm a sucker for are character mannerisms and expressions. I think with them being robots and how they canonically can't express a lot emotions (from what we get in SB in general), but GAAHH I love stretching the limit to how expressive the glamrocks can get. I know I get a little silly with mine, especially the bug eyed expressions

And especially with the serious moments, I try to make it so that you can tell how certain characters act/their mannerisms since yknow... Freddy and Monty switched. Freddy talking with his hands, smiling more, standing up straight

Yayyyyy omg finally have drawn portraits of the four main characters!!!! I'll show the process of Jenson's first and then them all four together. Though it's a shame the Seb/Fernando ones are older, I think it's hopefully obvious how much I've improved since November?

Look at him in all his handsome, princely glory 🥹 It's funny, I'm always happy with the second sketch and initial lineart, and then I start coloring it and I absolutely hate it, and it takes a significant amount of time into the painting for me to like it again. And then I reach a certain point and I'm in love with it again. Ugh though I gotta say, I love drawing the curls, it's just so 18th century, but at the same point, man I always will love my original lineart for the hair the best ah. Also yes I absolutely had to give him a big ass hat with feathers, he really is that kinda guy to me. I originally drew a bicorne and then realized that those don't really exist until basically almost a century later oops, so tricorne it is!!

Haha wow I have improved a lot! Just like the Seb/Fernando ones, Mark and Jense's were meant to be put together. I think there's a lot of inherent characterization in their poses that highlight the difference between them. Mark is looking up, very wistful, looking up to greater people, greater things. Jenson's head is tilted down, almost looking at the viewer, he is very satisfied with his role and revels in it, he's here to slay!

Okay, yes, lore, characterization, sorry that it is so far down on the post!!

Jense would probably be the fan favorite if this AU was an actual book or show or something. He's the guy you randomly find while browsing Wikipedia and you're like, woah this guy is so cool??? Unlike Sebmarknando, he doesn't really have the same level of angst, he's kinda just chilling. He's a bit harder to write a lore post about, because he's basically that character who is always magically around the corner, ready to witness some crazy thing and just breeze past it.

He is less linked to Seb than people like Mark and Fernando, because he's basically just his personal minister of transportation(read: horse fucker), so he avoids a lot of the relationship complications and drama, but that isn't to say he's completely uninvolved. He really likes Seb, and loves to hang around with him and serve him, but he's not as beholden to him. He's who everyone goes to air their grievances or to get away from the others, and he's very happy with this role. He's generally willing to play any side in an argument, but does tend to have a pretty big soft spot for Seb overall(Seb also gives him cuteness aggression, and he wants to bite him. Especially when Seb puffs himself up and acts super bratty when he gets offended at not being seen as a proper ruler.)

He's royalty from other kingdom, but pledged his loyalty to Seb's kingdom when he was quite young and has served him(his father first) ever since. He started off somewhat low in the military, rose to a pretty high rank, was a renowed war hero, and then ended up retiring pretty early to tend to Seb's horses. That's an oversimplification, but yeah. He liked the military life, was very good at it, but decided he had done enough, and wanted to be involved in more direct service, albeit more laid back. As I mentioned in Mark's post, Mark *really* doesn't understand his choice to do this, because if Mark had been in Jense's position, he can't ever imagine being able to let all that go and living the quiet life.

He is the palace whore, everyone has been with him honestly. It'll be like, some man walks into his bedroom, only to see Jenson in bed with his wife, but instead of being angry, he's like "wow you couldn't even wait for me??" He's just very carefree, and happy to just slut around and tend to Seb's horses.

I think he definitely still advises Seb, and would go to battle if truly need be, but generally seems to be living in a different world than the weird psychosexual homoerotic political drama that the others seem to be living in. But as I said, it's not like he doesn't contribute to it! He loves to goad Fernando, and constantly plays devil's advocate in "debates" between Fernando and Seb. He's also obviously the one that keep "accidentally" locking them in rooms and forgetting where the key is.

Sorry if this isn't very explanatory, I hope it gives a general idea to the type of character he is???? As always, let me know if you have any questions! I kinda struggled on what to write here because I'm finishing this at almost 8 am 😭 so I'm not sure if it's great or not. But basically you need to know: horse fucker who is generally breezy and carefree but also can be a bit of a menace to society every once in a while.

What was your favorite character traits about Rachel Amber?

Hey! Happy to see you and boy what a great question, thank you! Loaded answer ahead; TLDR, see the good in Rachel Amber.

Rachel's many things. Pretty, hot, charming, stylish, not to mention her lovely voice, these physical traits are already a great start for many. Then you have functional traits-- ambidextrous (can I just say that's hella cool, omg I want that too), social genius/people skills, straight As student, drama queen, masked with a layer of mystery, many people would've already fallen for her, in-game and out, me being one of them when I first got to know her as a character (so pretty much those were my fav traits of her).

But if we strip her physical beauty down and shove aside her fascinating skillset, who is she really? We may never know 100%, but some character traits can still be found.

Here are some of my favourite (&underrated) Yangs to Rachel Amber's sides. aka why Rachel Amber should get more love & less hate from the fandom

Ofc there are exceptions, but those are not relevant in this post; assumptions & headcannons are added

1. A good heart

Kindness to me will always be one of the most important character traits to have for anyone. With all that powerhouse of a Rachel Amber can accomplish, she chooses to use them with kindness.

With her social skills she chooses to lift people up, saving Hayden from a quickly-escalating scolding from Mr Keaton in ep 1, asking Chloe in a nuanced way if she's "taking (getting kicked outta Blackwell) this a little too well", kinda guiding her independent thinking rather than directly telling her what's right or wrong. (There'd be constructive criticism between Chloe & Rachel, which I stan in a relationship/friendship.)

With her intelligence she tutors Justin & helped him improve his algebra from an F to a C I believe? That's pretty impressive, ngl

with her ambidexterity.. idk, she makes Chloe happy :> (yes i'm totally referring to doing graffiti with her left hand on Chloe's insistence *cough*)

This is why I'm inclined to believe that tornado was not Rachel's revenge. She'd never choose to put Chloe, her parents, her friends, at risk; if she wanted revenge she could've killed the men w her powers. Sure you can say some of these might be her trying to live up to her DA father / principal assistant's duties, but at least she chose to do them. She could very well be a kid who doesn't give a damn or fluff through some of these things that requires time & effort.

2. Sees the good in others!

One of the most underrated Rachel Amber traits imo. This girl literally has a reputation of "her friends are her friends", and does not discriminate in terms of friendship/who she hangs out with. She picked Chloe up from her lowest (saw her & praised her for backtalking the biker, defending Nathan, & "you're more of a hero than you think you realise", when Chloe didn't take Drew's money). Rachel stuck with Chloe when no one else did (puts up with her sh*t, which ofc Chloe does the same), literally chose Chloe to share her uncertain future outside Arcadia, did not take her chance to leave when she could in those 3 years, most likely cuz she wanted to leave with Chlo. She also hung out with Nathan (& Chloe when so many wouldn't), saw the good in Frank (yes. same as Nathan & Chloe his reputation is far from great and despite the unhealthiness of this relationship, she at the very least cared for the guy, & saw the humanity inside him), & very sadly fell for the portrayed "gone through some serious shit" act by Jeffers*n, all these showing her being an empathetic & sympathetic person.

I'll add non-judgemental as well, cuz it's why she's able to get along with so many people so well. Like what her VA Kylie Brown says in an interview, whoever you are, Rachel'd be like "hey you're a pretty cool person, let's talk!" It's inspiring. I love that about her. Gotta have more Rachels in the world.

3. Ambitious. Puts in the hard work. Persistent.

"One day, I'm gonna climb Mt Everst." says a 15 year old Rachel in Bts, who has posters of travelling in Asia (the green poster has Chinese words saying "go travel in China", amongst others), already speaks about her courage & ambition. And of course, leaving Arcadia with no one but Chloe for a better life. Yes you can say it's reckless, because it's a big idea for a teenager, but she didn't just give up on it. It stuck with her, and she worked hard for it. Doing photoshoots to get modelling jobs, maintaining her 4.0 GPA, finding opportunities to leave... she did those for 5 years. And in the comics universe, they made it out! Now they're over 22yos with an LA apartment, Rachel's in modelling gigs with her acting career kicking off... what could've been for game Rachel. (oh the things I'd do for Bts' ending to be Max appearing in the nick of time instead of that damn vibrating phone!) Also I wonder if in some universes, like the wheelchair Chloe one, a missing Rachel could mean she actually made it out without others knowing, instead of the darker end.

4. Caring & thoughtful & protective & passionate partner/friend/lover!

She listens to Chloe's problems (therapy session), she gives Chloe nice clothes to wear within the few days they'd met (what financially challenged Chloe needed, & in a way that wasn't awkward for Chloe), she sends post cards to Chloe while she's away (she thinks about her often), & "don't f****ing touch her". Passionate lover, I mean.. the way she kissed Chloe under that lamp (with high intimacy of course) is good enough an example. Chloe's the romantic one in my head. Rachel, the passionate.

So far these are the character traits I can think of, and your question helped draw out Rachel's positive sides that are too under-recognised. Thanks again! :)

so i've just joined the pjo series discourse on sm (i've read all the books) so maybe people might have already said this but i feel like the monster fights are kinda underwhelming ?? the fights themselves but the atmosphere around them too. i'm just going to say it point by point to be clearer :

Mrs. Dodds: she's the first monster and threat of the show. i was waiting for something scary and surprising, that would have terrified percy or something. but instead the "reveal" was slow, and there wasn't even a fight, he just kind of opened the sword (even tho we don't even see him doing it) and she just. dies like that ?? it was really easy and i get that they can't just kill percy in the first ep but there wasn't even a bit of struggle or anything. tbh this first fight really dissapointed me. there was mystery that creates an intrigue but she just wasn't scary or a menace imo (EDIT : I HAVE NOW REREAD THE SCENE AND IT HAS COME TO MY ATTENTION THAT THIS IS EXACTLY HOW THE FIGHT PLAYS OUT IN THE BOOK (extract down below) so forget everything i said in this part, i'm sorry. )

2. The minotaur : i liked this one much more than the first one, the car chase was thrilling and the atmosphere of the scene was really cool. i've only got one little thing to say about it, but i think it's just a me thing and i'm nitpicking (idk how to make gifs so i hope you can picture it in your head) :

when sally takes percy's jacket to lure the minotaur away from the boys and uses it as a red cape like in a corrida, i think it kinds of take the attention away from the fear of the monster in itself by being comedic. AGAIN i know i'm nitpicking here but why not say it.

(also i regret that the last scene was so far away from the camera and from the camp border. i know it's bc it's percy's pov but i loved percy's desperation in the movie (I KNOW IT'S BAD) when he's failing to save his mother and finally sees her (and her emotions) when she is gets taken away from him.)

3. Medusa : i LOVED what they tried to do with medusa and how they tried to make us sympathise with her. however, the fight was REALLY dissapointing to me. it kind of happened from nowhere. it's implied that it's annabeth plan but it really happened way too fast and did not give enought time for the viewer to appreciate the threat that medusa can be. it felt way to easy for them to beat MEDUSA. the fight lasted 5 seconds max and it felt shy in a way, like as if they didn't not want to fuck it up.

+ special mention : 4. Clarisse: I'M NOT SAYING SHE'S A MONSTER, I'M JUST PUTTING HER HERE BC TECHNICALLY SHE WAS A THREAT TO PERCY. i like dior's acting, idk anything about her outside of the show but i'm going to be honest : not knowing the cast at all, at first i immediately thought she was drew 😭. she IS a really pretty girl but for me she doesn't emanate clarisse's ares' daughter vibe. when her spear broke she was so GOOD, but appart from that she's just really chill i think ? like she's not menacing, she just kind of a mean girl bully (which clarisse is ig but she's not a menace enough imo) and tbh i think she's just not as "rough" as i think she could have been.

tldr : i think the fights were not scary enough and did not set a good tone for the series. they were also too easy and fast for them to be enjoyable.

of course i still enjoy this show a lot so i will be watching the next episodes and the rest of it so maybe there will be improvements. please yell what you guys think !!

The first drawing of the year and is… an art trend (shitpost)

Honestly I had fun doing this, It's not the best drawing I've ever done but I think it will have a place in my favorites. I also took the opportunity to make a "simpler" shading (failed miserably) but hey at least it's the first drawing with a background that I have lol

(The next paragraphs will just be me being silly while explaining why I love these characters)

At the start of 2023 I became obsessed with JJBA and of all the characters my favorite for a long time was Kakyoin, idk the anime made me think he's cute (even after the canon event...). And yes, I want a plushie of him!

(Oh god it was a long time ago since I drew him) It's no surprise to anyone that my favorite character is Zachary, why? well honestly I don't even know lol

But yeah, he's the one I drew the most (I really love his design) and the first character I drew in my Sketchbook. So it was nice to draw him again, especially with my "newer" artstyle!

And finally and the most recent... Jhon Ward from Faith The Unholy Trinity

I know, it sounds weird but I have my reasons:

First, he's a reference to "The Exorcist" (obviously) and I love that movie, It's one of the few horror movies that makes me feel something (disgust)

Second, I love the character and the evolution he has. That ending is great especially if you have the general context. Personally I like to think that faith has a message of self-improvement thanks to him and the good endings (which is honestly very cool!)

Third and most importantly, I find him cute. Idk in the cinematics he looks cute to me (This is weirder now I know his age...). I also give him credits for being the first time I like the main character lol

I would like to make more drawings like this, especially because they made me realize that I think my comfort characters have something in common. I mean, a crossover of OFF with FAITH would be great, both have a dark atmosphere with religious references. It would be interesting to see tbh... Mmm maybe I could do it...

But anyway, this is just for fun and to show my favorite characters ^^

2023 YEAR IN REVIEW!!!

My artstyle changed a lot this year, especially after my shift from ibis paint to procreate after getting my iPad (drawing on an iPad is the BEST btw 100% recommend I love it way more than a phone and it didn’t die after a month like my old wacom 💀💀). I’m relatively happy with where my art is atm and I hope to continue to improve in 2024!

Explanation of all the silly art down below! (Mostly so I can tell y’all who the fanart is for but also cause I like rambling)

January: A drawing of my Rise Leo human design I did to test out a pixel brush I found for Ibis Paint. He’s very fun to draw hehe I need to draw him more-

February: I wanted to learn how to draw the future designs of Leo and Mikey along with CJ so I planned to draw them all together! I struggled with Leo though so I just got rid of him. Sorry Peepaw 😞😞💔💔💔

March: Fanart for @beannary ‘s TLP au! I love it so much so I had to draw smth for it hehe 😈😈💥💥💥 which reminds me I need to draw more at some point- might redraw it at some point cause I’m not super happy with how it turned out but I do like the idea a lot

April: The month I created Reticent! April’s Fools was the first episode I came up with so I drew a chapter poster! It ended up being very different to the chapter cover I drew a couple months later but it’s still cool :D Leo is being weirdly affectionate to Mikey though what the heck that isn’t like him smh. Although I guess it was meant to be purposefully exaggerated sooooo 🥰

May: Reticent Casey!!! I don’t have much to say it’s just Reticent Casey HDKSGXKSHD this wasnt a very good art month

June: Krangified Donnie is literally my favourite concept ever thats it that’s all I have to say dbskdbwkh I adore Krangified Donnie and if the Rise brainrot takes over the Reticent brainrot for a while then I will probably be drawing Krangified Donnie during that time sorry not sorry

July: Reticent Chapter 3’s cover yippee!!! Still my favourite Reticent cover although Chapter 8’s is a close second (I can’t wait to post it once it’s been betaread yippee!!!). The scribble over Leo’s eyes is literally just because I was struggling to draw his eyes and i was getting annoyed dbskdbskdb it’s actually a very common issue with him (common Ret!Leo L). Also Mikey being reflected in the mirror is a reference to Mirror Man by Jack Stauber which I’ve basically considered his theme song since @aaronymous999 introduced it to me ebwjcbkwhd thank you Mr. Aaronymous! Also somebody said he was in the barbie box and I still need to draw that to this day because Mikey would’ve killed to go see Barbie.

August: RET DONNIE WOOOOO he’s being bullied again!!! I drew that piece for a colour palette challenge request and realised I got the prompt wrong so I just made it into its own thing 💥💥💥 it’s usually a flickering light gif but I chose to just use the version with the light on for this post. The photos in the background were really fun to draw hehe either April’s or Mikey’s is my favourite.

Pierro Helping Reader Train

The clinking of metal and silent chatter has ceased for a while in the Fatui’s training yard but you still stayed behind. It was a sort of “day off” for trainees like you but you and a lot of others from earlier still wanted to train.

You stabbed your sword down on the dirt ground and leaned on the hilt with a sigh, you’ve been training for hours by yourself and sparring with others but you’ve made no improvements at all

“I know practice makes perfect but this is just ridiculous” you said to yourself bitterly

“It’s because you’re only practicing with those who are on the same level as you, you need to challenge yourself to something harder to improve” a voice said from somewhere. You looked around and saw Lord Pierro walking into the yard from one of the surrounding hallways, you immediately salute to his presence

“It’s an honor to meet you here, sir! Thank you for your advice! But if I may dare ask…” Pierro’s head perked up “...would it be alright if I could spar with you?”

It wasn’t every day that one of the subordinates or hell even a rookie like you asked The First Harbinger to spar, you just wish that you won’t wind up dead by the end of this session. He seemed to be amused by your request and summoned his sword, you pulled your own out of the ground and pointed it towards Pierro, him doing the same with you, steadying your footing you got ready for his attack.

He lunged at you at an almost inhuman speed, electricity sparked as your luck and delusion helped you deflect his attack, you gasped as you regained your composure

Pierro didn’t give you time to attack at all, the only thing you’re able to do is to parry and dodge

‘C’mon, look for an opening’ you thought to yourself.

Finally, you saw an exposed area at what you assumed was his blind spot and drew forward your blade, your electro delusion threatening to spill out out of reflex. You almost stabbed Pierro’s leg with full strength before remembering that this was just a sparring session causing your hit to just become a tap at his leg.

The harbinger looked at you in confusion at what you just did and the embarrassment started sinking in

“A-Ah I’m sorry, sir, I didn’t want to potentially hurt your leg since we were just sparring and not in a serious fight…” your voice becoming a murmur towards the end

“Do tell me child, your skills with your vision are above average compared to the other trainees, why did you not use it the entire fight” despite his monotone voice towards you, he was genuinely curious

You tapped your chin with your finger for a moment to think of an answer,

“It’s because I already know I’m rather skilled with handling my vision, sir, that’s why I want to better my swordsmanship skills, you never know when you might not be able to use the elements” you gave him an honest smile to lessen how tense you are

He looked at your face seemingly inspecting it for one reason or another before giving an ‘I see’ and leaving, you saluted and said your goodbye before finally leaving the yard and into your room.

You crashed into your bed with a tired sigh and stared at your ceiling before everything sank in, you squealed in excitement as quietly as you could into your pillow

“I can’t believe I just managed to spar with the first harbinger…” you murmured before burying your face into the pillow once again.

Hi! I'm so sorry it took me so long to answer this ask, and also thank you for sending me an ask in the first place! I love answering questions, even if it takes me a bit to respond :3

I agree with you, Lazari deserves better. I mean like, even her own creator did her dirty man, SHE HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL!!! Her concept is so cool and her own comic did her SO DIRTY. I hate the treatment she gets from fans too.

Yeah I get it her comic was terribly written and was the origin of the 'I HAVE CRAYONS AND PAPER!!!!!' meme and the characters were poorly written and the lore was inconsistent and the fanservice was weird and the story/tone was ALL OVER THE PLACE. But like, don't take it out on my baby Lazari please she deserves better.

I wanna do some more silly headcanons of her this time around, I might make a separate post on more serious stuff about her ;)

So, let's get cracking!

Lazari Headcanons!

-She's on the Autism Spectrum, diagnosed and all :3. She also has ADHD, also diagnosed! She's the representation we deserve to see in this fandom lol.

-She's Chibiworks. Okay, let me explain:

SO, when Lazari first came into the Mansion, she was just an 8 year old girl with demonic tendencies who was abused by her hyper-religious mother who hated her. She hated herself, she was shy, and she believed that she was nothing more than a monster, a mistake. But all of a sudden she goes from that to the DAUGHTER OF THE EMPEROR OF THE UNDERWORLD, a literal DISNEY PRINCESS (cuz yk she's his daughter), and now she literally lives in a Magical Forest in a Magical Mansion of Serial Killers, Ghosts and Demons.

She thought that the world around her was super interesting considering she never got to see much of the outside. She loves drawing, so she drew about it. She drew about the potential greater stories unravelling around her, making her own characters based on concepts she learnt about whilst exploring.

She made I Eat Pasta for Breakfast as a way of letting her imagination go wild around this new environment she found herself in. She made characters to interact with the people that already existed, and gave them purposes.

(Btw, several of the weird stuff and the not kid-appropriate scenes in the comic are retconned out of this version.)

She also made Creepy Frozen Pasta, just saying. She also wrote The Seer. She wrote every Creepypasta comic in existence. Found a cool Creepypasta comic series? Lazari wrote it.

-She LOVES drawing. Her artstyle is very much manga-inspired and she loves creating her own OCs, which are littered throughout her work. A lot of them are directly based on concepts, such as many of Zalgo's followers in IEPFB being based on the idea of Zalgo having a cult of personality around him.

-She's definitely an animation meme kid. I'm deffo self-projecting but she is the DEFINITION of the weird kid. She makes animation memes of everyone in the mansion. She makes animatics of actual stuff that happened. She makes amateur dubs of her own comics.

-Manga is her biggest hyperfixation. She collects TONS of them, and directly draws panels from her favourite manga to improve her drawing skills. Her favourite Manga series of all time is Fruits Basket :3. Her room is basically just all of her drawing scattered around the place.

She specifically likes Horror and Shoujo anime, despite the fact that they're basically polar opposites. Alongside Fruits Basket, she really likes Madoka Magica!

-She definitely makes AMVs of her favourite animes. She deffo writes terribly written fanfiction about her favourite anime couples kissing and giggles whilst writing it.

-She's also a Gacha Life kid FUCKING FIGHT ME SHE DEFINITELY MAKES GACHA OCS. She definitely stays up until 2am with Sally watching 'Hated Child turns into Hybrid Princess' videos. Lazari gasps in shock every single time and Sally is just sitting there extremely confused.

-Sally is her best friend. She lore-dumps to Sally all the time about her special interests, and Sally listens intently and nods along. She even writes notes about the lore of her favourite series! Sally is a super supportive best friend, and any time any of the ghost kids make fun her for her autistic behaviour she puts them in their place.

-Despite this, the two of them argue a lot, because they're kids and just of course they do. Fun fact! The reason why Sally only appears like once in IEPFB is because Lazari initially wrote her in, then the two got into a fight and she took her out of the story. They made up soon after but Lazari thought it would be too awkward to add her back in and Sally just accepted it.

-She has a very unorthodox form of common sense. With that I mean she has none at all. Once the mansion was on fire, and Slender screamed at her to get up and evacuate. Her reaction? She told him to leave her alone and let her sleep.

-She really likes Vocaloid, and her favourite Vocaloid isn't even a Vocaloid. Her favourite, uh, singing bank, is Kasane Teto! She claims that her robotic voice (before the SynthV AI transfer) was pleasant to her ears.

-Her favourite Vocaloid Song is Kasane Territory, because of the animation meme of course >:D.

-She also definitely tried to make a Storytime Youtube Channel but everyone in the Mansion made her delete it because she was sharing personal information about them all. Like genuinely she'd be like 'SO THE OTHER DAY MASKY AND HOODY WERE ON A MISSION FOR SLENDERMAN AND THEY KILLED THIS ONE GIRL WHO LIVES AT THIS ADDRESS IN THIS STATE'.

She has like zero concept of Internet Safety.

-She's a massive Melanie Martinez fan. She got Sally into her music, and back when Melanie Martinez was like just getting popular she'd sing all of her songs super loudly in the shower. Once Slenderman referred to the house as a 'Dollhouse' and Lazari screamed 'DOLLHOUSE BY MELANIE MARTINEZ? HEY GIRL, OPEN YOUR WALLS, PLAY WITH YOUR DOLLS-'.

-She used to be a massive Roblox kid in 2017 and was also an MSP kid. Christ she was on so many virtual worlds, she was even on Animal Jam sort of.

-Fanon Masky, Hoody and Toby were invented by her. Fanon Masky was made PURELY out of spite for him. The first time they met was not pleasant, as he called her a brat. Lazari vowed to humiliate him in every way possible from that point forward. She found out that he hated children, hated Slenderman, hated Cheesecake, hated the texture of Crayons, and hated jokingly being called a twink by Toby.

All of that combined? You got the Crayon-having, Cheesecake-eating, Skinny, Scrawny, Slenderman dick-riding Fanon Masky that we all know and love. The other residents found out about this strange new version of him and it became so popular she drew individual fanarts of him and handed it to all of the residents. Even Slenderman has a picture of Cheesecake Masky on his Office Wall. Somehow Masky didn't find out about this until a long time after the fad ended.

In my AU Hoody is a selective mute who doesn't verbally communicate with anyone besides the Proxies, so he was deathly silent when he first met Lazari. She misunderstood this as him just being shy and so Shy UwU boy Hoody was made.

Fanon Toby is just a sarcastic persona Toby puts on to piss other people off. She misunderstood this as his REAL personality and alongside the waffles thing that Jeff and Ben always mentioned (Toby stopped liking Waffles long before Lazari came), Fanon Toby was made.

-She made the Dollmaker (yeah he exists) make her plushies of everyone in the Mansion + The Zalgo and a few of her OCs. What does she do with them, you may ask? She roleplays with them with Sally. They've made a bunch of random ships with this, and now they're both avid Slender x Zalgo shippers. They also ship EJ with a lot of people as he has such a versatile personality, but they mainly like EJ and Jeff.

Lazari also found out that Masky was sort of intimidated by Nurse Ann so she shipped them very vocally in front of him.

-She's a massive Sanrio-girl, and her favourite character is My Melody :D. She's watched the entirety of Onegai My Melody at least like sixteen times already.

-She tried to learn Japanese, and failed miserably. She can sometimes read Hiragana if Kagekao writes it really carefully.

-Her own handwriting is really terrible, almost illegible. It's a gift to be able to read anything she writes.

-She's a part of the Mansion's Literature Club, and Ben nicknames her the Natsuki of the club, as she's always insisting that Manga is literature.

-She argues with Slender, as he believes that comics and Manga shouldn't be considered literature, as they're all pictures and barely any words. Lazari TO THIS DAY debates him about it.

-About her demonic urges, they're manageable as long as you give her a random body part to chew on every once and a while. She doesn't lose her control like she once did when she first came, and she's not as dangerous anymore. She's like a saint compared to EJ.

-As she's a half-demon, she has some godly amount of brute force strength. She can carry someone thrice her size and force open any door, no matter how many locks are on it.

She also has an incredibly high pain tolerance. Once she got scratched up pretty bad by EJ when he was in a particularly bad Demonic State, the girl didn't even notice until Lulu noticed.

-About Lulu, she was actually assigned to show her around when she first arrived at the Mansion! Lulu had told Slender earlier that she wanted to take charge of whoever came after her, and has a really good relationship with Lazari. She's one of Lazari's favourite people.

-Her relationship with her dad is...strange. On one hand when she does get to visit they generally have a nice time, however due to how much she reminds him of his deceased little sister, sometimes he'll accidentally call her 'Lily', which dampens the mood a little bit.

-Stripes ADORES her. The two sisters are very close and Stripes just loves her so much, she even made her her Teddy Bear that she's famous for carrying around :3.

-She had a phase where she called herself an irl Yandere. Thankfully she stopped after like a month but it was very funny lol

-She loves Nightcore! And Trance Music, oddly enough. One of her favourite songs is 'Be Alive!' By Stian K. (Search up the song. If you recognise the song from a certain animation meme of her then you deserve all of my respect).

-Her favourite food is Chocolate Strawberries.

Okay, if you want to ask some more serious lore-related questions then go right ahead and I'll answer! I just have so much of Lazari since she was one of my comfort characters when I was little and first got into Creepypastas. I see a lot of myself in her and I'm so peeved that the fandom either completely ignores her or dislikes her, like she's got so much potential! She's an incredibly important character in my AU actually, and one day I'll make a post detailing her correlation with the greater story :3

Oh yeah I might as well post this here for the 2 people who follow me and aren't already in discords with me,

I'm doing this:

In an attempt to improve my art, I started out just doing it for the sake of drawing something almost every day but now I think I'm gonna save these for whenever I feel I've made an improvement. Each day I am doing a different OC and I'm trying to lean towards having each character in an outfit I wouldn't normally draw them in

#1 was done with Orpheus Valor from Paragons

He was pretty fun to draw because I don't do masc characters very often. Also doing him for the underwear post was good because my GM, Gracie, and I had previously joked about him having scars where top surgery scars would be and just fully not being trans (there are other trans characters in Paragons I feel like we get to do a little bit of queerbaiting) so he was mauled by a bear.

#2 was done with Rabbit Leporidae from Thyrasylo.

Rabbit is normally dressed in either a suit or a frilly dress despite the fact that her name stems from the fact that her original design was wearing a bunny suit. Her shirt is a gag stolen from Thrilling Intent, I think it's funny for the most powerful spellcaster in my world to be wearing a spelling bee shirt. This was also cool because I got to draw her tattoos. Neither of her previous tokens really showed them off much so I thought I could use this opportunity to draw them. They don't have any real significance as of right now but I might ascribe some to them later.

#3 is with Ivy Blackleaf from Thyrasylo

Ivy is very fun to draw, this prompt made me finally design a logo for her Mom's cafe. I think I made it a little too close to the Olive Garden logo. Otherwise this was a fairly straightforward one, I did get to practice expression a little bit.

#4 with Roxanne De'Rulo from Crescent King

Messy hair Roxie is really fun to draw. I forced myself to make this a full body to try and practice feet, I don't think they look all that great. Her hand is a little bit fucked up but I am glad that I drew it at all, practice is important. Otherwise the only thing of note with this one is that I lost the original TRIPWIRE band logo and Redbubble doesnt let you redownload your uploaded designs which kinda blows.

#5 with Jayden Valekrave from Paranoia and Evi Halloran from Macrocosmos

The first one with a backdrop. This one was also voted on by a whole 37 people who took time out of their day to vote on my silly little Google form. Evi is in the background because she was the runner up and I probably wouldn't draw her anywhere else. I also think I didn't do justice to all the people who voted for Jayden. I super didn't have a reference pulled up and I am not skilled enough to draw from my imagination yet. Jayden's halberd, Dawnbreaker, having sunglasses on is the best part of this image. She is so silly. I also started drawing the eyes without having lineart on them here. Idk how I like it, we'll have to see.

#6 with Vernidaius Yxerei from Decent Into Avernus

Compression kinda fucked this one up a bit, but the name of the game with this one was experimenting with brushes. I kinda tried to get some of the texture that I really love out of Jackson FrameDodge of The3rdWheel's work. Unfortunately I dont really know how to shade properly so it's kinda all over the place, and harder to see on the skin, oops. This one had a pose reference initially but the legs ended up being too difficult for me to do so I just sorta covered one of them. I also super forgot to draw Vermi's scales here. The line-less eyes are still something I'm on the fence about. I think this background is a good bit better than the previous one, the only part of the previous one that I really ended up liking is the clouds.

Mama Whiskey

Whiskey and Slider in the beginning had a hard time accepting the truth that they would never have kids of their own. However, that never stopped them from wanting that for themselves. Whenever news that a couple they knew was expecting, they were the first to volunteer for any babysitting as well as buying them any essentials.

With time, the longing lessened but never fully went away. They both always longed to be called Mama or Papa (or any variation of it). Between the two, they always joked they would adopt their favorite student. “Maybe one will call you mama,” Slider teased. The moment it happened will forever live in Whiskey’s mind and heart.

They had just finished some flying exercises and were going to go over what each person or team did wrong and how they could improve. “Now before you leave make sure to pass by the admiral’s office for your assignment for the week.”

“Yes, mama Whiskey.”

“I’m sorry. What did you call her Garcia?” Baylie asks

“Mama Whiskey… She’s like a momma bird trying to teach her babies to fly.”

“Mama Whiskey! I love it! That’s it I’m calling her that from now on,” Reuben says.

“Besides, she looks like she gives good mom hugs…” Mickey says with a shrug.

Jade felt like she was floating at the sound of those two words. Mama Whiskey. But then her high came crashing down. She had to excuse herself from her students as the reminder that it wasn’t a real title started the ache in her heart.

Without her students watching her, Whiskey makes her way to her shared office with Dragon. She closes the door behind her and quietly slinks down to the floor crying.

A soft knock comes at the door. “Commander Kerner?” The concerned voice of one of her students comes through.

As Jade is standing and cleaning her face to open the door, she hears a whispered voice saying “Good going Garcia. You broke my favorite Commander here.”

Mickey sighs at Baylie.

“Are you two done flirting?” Reuben asks.

Before either can answer, the door opens and Whiskey lets the three students in. She wasn’t going to lie. This trio was one of her favorites to teach. They were confident in their flying but they also were more than willing to learn and become even better aviators.

“Hi. Uhm I’m headed back to the class,” Jade tells them.

“It’s fine. Let’s go get some air. Cyclone took over teaching the class,” Baylie informs her.

“I…” Mickey starts. “I’m sorry if I made you uncomfortable.”

“Oh Mickey. No it wasn’t that… It just made me emotional hearing someone call me… that.”

The trio of students look between each other. “Mama Whiskey?”

Jade nods. “It’s just… Well I never had any children no matter how much I wanted them… So hearing someone call me mama and with an age that’s young enough to actually be my child…”

Silent tears fall from her eyes and Mickey is the first one to give her a hug. “We can be your kids. We all have our ma’s at home but we could use a ma here on base.”

Baylie nods. “Plus… A badass pilot mom would be so cool!”

“As long as we get easy questions,” Reuben teases.

That causes Jade to smile. “Thank you three. And thank you for checking in on me. I really appreciate it. Now get back to class. I’ll go talk with Ice about the flight practices today.”

In the weeks leading up to the Top Gun graduation, the Trio of Fanboy, Lucky and Payback all drew closer to Whiskey and Slider.

When graduation came in mid-March, Whiskey was introduced to their respective moms who all gave her the biggest hugs and repeatedly thanked her for looking out for them.

Dulce was the first one to welcome her as her honorary sister and as Mickey’s Navy Mama. More tears of joy were shed as pictures were taken and each of the aviators received their new assignments.

Jade and Mickey hug one last time. “Go and make me and Dulce proud Mickey… mijo.”

Mickey smiled widely at that. “Si Mama.”

Slider came and also gave him a hug. “I have a feeling we’ll be seeing you back here in Top Gun, son.”

Soon May rolled around and going to the stores sometimes still hurt Jade when she would see all the Mother’s Day displays.

Ron would get her flowers and say it was on behalf of him and their Belgian Malinois, Lieutenant Auggie Bear Kerner. She knew he meant well but it was the same longing feeling he would get on Father’s Day every year.

When they got home that Sunday from their own picnic at the beach, they were surprised to find their front porch filled with floral arrangements and balloons saying “Happy Mother’s Day”.

Jade knew her favorite students had already graduated Top Gun and were deployed in different bases but her heart still filled with love for them when she saw their names on the cards.

Suddenly a throat cleared behind them. “Hi Mama Whiskey. Papa Slider.”

Jade shrieks and hugs Mickey tightly. “Oh Mickey! Mijo! You’re here. Were all these flowers your idea?”

He shook his head. “I wish I could but I guess everybody had the same thought…. I actually came to see my favorite parents from Top Gun and take them to dinner.”

Auggie was at the window by the door just staring adoringly at Mickey before they went in. He happily lunged at him to give Mickey sloppy kisses. 

“Aww your brother missed you, Mickey,” Jade says and gives him another hug again.

Before dinner in the backyard, Mickey has Jade close her eyes. “One more surprise.” He takes her hand and carefully leads her to the living room. “Don’t open your eyes yet.”

Once he tells her to open her eyes, Jade finds Baylie and Reuben there holding their own bags of food and gifts. “Oh my babies!” Jade rushes to hug them both.

“We decided we couldn’t let you have another Mother’s Day alone… So we came to spend time with our second mama,” Reuben says, hugging Jade.

And so, the yearly tradition of dinner at the Kerner’s for Mother’s Day was born. A few years down the road, Jade would just smile nonstop whenever any of her babies call her Mama Whiskey.

I couldn’t do it anymore..... So I had to get some references from some pictures of OCs just to draw him the way I wanted the first time, and I’m glad I did.

Though at the same time, I’m not totally sure about this design. I mean, I still like it and prefer it, but I feel like I could do something a bit more with it. He’s not just a normal bird, he’s part of the Goetia family (the son of Raum). And as someone who is special, I feel like I should do more with his appearance.

Also, I’m still deciding on what I should do about his character (like his personality, his story, and his background). He’s pretty dry when it comes to his personality. Doesn’t show much emotion on his face, not even in his voice. Almost like he’s just un-caring about everything and is very moody and mellow all the time. Basically, your typical goth dude. Though he is a cool young man once you get to know him. He’s also Octavia’s love interest, so there’s that too.

As I said, he’s the Son of Raum. Raum is the Great Earl of Hell and the 40th spirit of Ars Goetia. He rules the thirty legions of Demons. I guess he’s not as powerful as Stolas since Princes outrank Earls apparently. Though at this point, I’m convinced Stolas isn’t as strong as he’s made out to be. The only time he decides to be strong in the show is when Viv says so. But still, Raum is a very powerful and intelligent man.

Corbin is the oldest of 4 children and was personally trained by his father to be the next Earl. Though Corbin gradually does turn out to be strong, smart, and almost talented like his father by the age of 17, he doesn’t care at all to take his father’s place. He’d much prefer to live his life in hell and play music (this sounds cliche, but just bear with me, lol!) Raum argues one day with his son that if he won’t follow in his footsteps, then he shouldn’t live in the mansion anymore, and probably cut ties with the family. And that’s what Corbin did. 

He stayed with his first girlfriend for a while but broke up with her after she was found in her bed with another guy and left. He eventually met with Trixie (the imp clinging to his arm) and befriended her after a few days. One day, Trixie heard him singing and fell in love with his voice. He told her he had nowhere to live and she was quick to offer him an invite to live in her home as a roommate. The two now live as roommates.

That’s about the gist of it. I say I like what I did with his story. Still, I would love to hear some good critiques and see what you guys think. Do you think I can change some things about him? Anything I need to improve on perhaps? Is he fine the way he is? I don’t intend to change too much.

(To those of you wondering; just because I draw these OCs for HB, doesn't mean I like the show! While I did initially like the first time it came out, I gradually started to dislike and I still do. Nothing will change that. I draw these OCs purely for the fun of it and THAT IS ALL!)

atsushi becomes less and less cute as i try to make him look more tiger-ish than a normal human would (but i also want him to look cute! that's why i made the reference sheet!)

i couldnt figure out how to draw wings, i didnt know how to make an interesting composition, but i did know what i want from the concept, which is akira (the man) giving up the demon summoning program to the angel with the city burning in the background.

i couldn't pull it off the first time around because i couldn't figure out a way to make the city fit, so i added hands reaching out to him as if trying to catch him to fill the empty space

i also couldn't figure out how to draw the gauntlet so i used a crushed cellphone as subtitute, except the wings got in the way because i couldn't figure out how to draw it so i had to x-ray it lol

When did you decide to get serious with art? did you ever expect to in the first place.

"sob sob" Forgive me 🥺🥺🥺 My brain is smooth and I have only 3 brain cells left. This shouldn't have taken me so long to answer.

I think I decided to get serious with it when I got my drawing tablet. That was in the pandemic and since then I've been improving. before I would just make little doodles on exam papers or sometimes I would do little comics. One time I gave one of my comics to a friend so that they could borrow it and they never returned it. I remember I would make like 5 - 6 pages of a comic and then grapple them together. One time my cousin helped me digitalize one of them. I still have that comic (it's horrible). I always looked up to my cousin because she was really good at digital art and she was studying that. So now that I am following her same steps, she gives me tips and classes which we sometimes stream on younow. We have very similar interests and we get along really well. She is the only person in my family I get really well with. Also, my brother was a big part of why I decided to start drawing because he also drew but in traditional.

To answer the other question I'd say no, I never would have imagined I would be doing this and be actually good. I never thought of pursuing art as an actual career and studying it. But look at me now! Before art, I was more into video editing and today I still enjoy it, but now it has passed to be more of a hobby than something serious.

Okay, so you remember the characters I drew before? The boy is Anthony, and the car girl, oh shit, I still don't have a name for her. I need to come up with one.

So Anthony is part of a band with his friends (I still don't have names for them, damn it). So in the band there is Anthony, his childhood friend, his brother, his brother's girlfriend, and like two more unimportant people to the story (and by that, I mean I haven't developed them).

So they have a consert, and when they get there, Anthony's friend has a panic attack right before they get on the stage and runs from the building, and Anthony follows him. They decide to cancel the concert, and Anthony calls his mom to pick them up. But it was raining really hard, and while going, Anthony's mother crashes and dies. Just before, his mother gave him a pendant that contained a yellow gem.

Anthony now blames and has hatred for his friend. He isolates himself from everyone, and this has a big effect on the group. 2 years later, and Anthony still can't let it go yet, so in an effort to set things right, they all go on a camping trip. At night, they are all around a campfire, and they start talking and having fun, all but Anthony, who doesn't want to talk to anyone. Then his friend says something about his mom, Anthony gets angry, they have an argument, the argument turns into a fight, and Anthony breaks his friend's guitar in a flash of rage. Anthony realizes what he has done and runs into the woods. They all go after him. Anthony stumbles upon a big door made of rocks with a little hole in the middle to insert something. Anthony's pendant starts glowing, and he places the pendant in the hole that opens the door.

there is nothing but pich dark inside. In desperation, Anthony crosses the door without hesitation and keeps walking. It seems like it never ends until he sees stars all around him. All of different colors. He sees a light on the other side and starts running towards it. And gets to the light…

And thats all you are getting. Now that I am writing this, I realize it is very cringy oh god. This looks so much better in my head. I need to rework this a lot. Oh god this is so horrible. Well this might seem cringy because this is just surface level and i haven't talked about a lot of important things about characters and their personalities. I'll expand more of the story another time. I still need to talk about the cat girl, and there is a whole other world. It's a lot, it really is. This would be like the start of the story, and it is the only thing that I have completely planned out in my head.
