hawaii: part ii, but it's not

i tried making a hawaii: part ii like album out of songs from other albums, creating songs that are kind of like hawaii part ii to create this. here are my explanations for each song
introduction to the snow - a.d. 1928, both are songs that exist to set up the mood of the album and start it off, less of an actual full song. both are also meant to feel super grand, but just alluding that there's more to come
isle unto thyself - fire, this one was kind of tricky, but both are very extravagant songs that are a bit segmented. both also have a short ending sequence that feel very different from the rest of the song. both carry that same "first real song on a big project" vibe
black rainbows - trapdoor, both songs have a duo of a vocalist who sounds very choppy and deep, and a second vocalist who sounds much brighter. both songs also have instrumentals with the same harsher & and chaotic feel to them
white ball - if i could, both love ballads with a male and female vocalist with a strong emphasis on violins that build and get more layered and grand as the song goes on. both start very simplistic and build into something much more powerful. both songs also share emotional overlap with the song sounding happy and higher energy, but singing with a more sad undertone
murders - new magic wand, both songs about the murder of one partner in a relationship, with purposely harsh sounding instrumentals
宇宙ステーションのレベル7 - c'etait toi, both songs that use a non-english language in an album that is otherwise all english. both incorporate french
the mind electric - i want you (she's so heavy), both emotional climaxes of their respective albums, and achieve that through instrumentation that is harsh and unlike anything else on their albums. both also have long stretches of no real words being said
labyrinth - i just threw out the love of my dreams, electronic based instrumentation over a man and a woman sing about how emotionally cornered they are
time machine - mr. roboto, both songs that are larger than life and dramatic, with heavy themes of machinery, synth based instrumentation, and a large emphasis on the chorus
stranded lullaby - blossom, slower and sadder points on their respective albums where the singer is emotionally drained
dream sweet in sea major - a life frozen in time, segmented songs with obvious "parts". finales to their albums featuring callbacks to the album itself, and ending on a slower and emotionally climactic moment

1. Who is the most affectionate?
Sugar! She’s very chill and openly affectionate.
2. Big spoon/Little spoon?
As I’ve mentioned in that one chart I’ve posted- they take turns. But Scarletta is just a teensy bit taller, so she does it a bit more. Think of it like… 60% of the time and the other 40% is Sugar. Yeah.
3. Most common argument?
Getting Scarletta to talk. Scarletta’s past (I will get into that some other day) has her being very hesitant about talking, and she’s very defensive about her feelings. She’s not as defensive with Sugar, but there are still things she’ll keep quiet about because she doesn’t want to upset Sugar and/or start a fight. Which, ironically, is what starts up a lot of fights because Sugar is just concerned for her girlfriend and wants to properly hear what it is so she can help.
4. Favorite non-sexual activity?
Music! Scarletta can play plenty of instruments, Sugar can only play the ukulele. But they can both sing. So sometimes one will play their instrument, and one (or both!) of them sing to the song. And it’s cute :))
5. Who is most likely to carry the other?
Sugar would if she was strong enough to.
6. What is their favorite feature of their partner's?
I’m gonna assume this means physical, so.
Sugar: She lovesss Scarlie’s eyes. They’re so green and beautiful, she could stare into them all day. Scarletta: Sugar’s hair. It’s very soft to play with, and it smells wonderful. Plus, the sprinkles that Sugar habitually sprinkles onto them make it adorable!
7. What's the first thing that changes when they realize they have feelings for the other?
Okay, so before they got together, they interacted mainly through Scarletta ordering at the Sweet Truck. Sugar instantly thought Scarlie was adorable, and over time added some subtle flirting to Scarletta’s orders. For example, adding hearts sprinkles instead of normal sprinkles or writing cute messages/her number with icing.
What changed is that after the subtle flirtations, is that they gave being friends a chance before trying dating. Which basically meant more actually hanging out than just icing words through Sweet Truck orders and desserts. Then they got more comfortable around each other, then- yeah.
8. Nicknames? & if so, how did they originate?
Scarletta doesn’t do nicknames. Sugar, on the other hand, has a plethora of them, of many I cannot name because I have no idea what they even would be. BUT she does have them. Especially ones inspired by the treats Scarletta would order at the Sweet Truck in their "early stages". Stuff like 'honeybun', 'cinnamon roll', whatever. I guess there’s also the classic ‘Scarlie’ 
9. Who worries the most?
Scarletta. Again, even if she doesn’t act like it, she fears a lot of things. Especially cause this is her first relationship, and doesn’t know what to do sometimes. Sugar tries her best to help her out with that.
10. Who remembers what the other one always orders at a restaurant?
Sugar knows Scarletta’s orders by heart. Either the Sweet Truck, or any other restaurant at all, Sugar keeps mental notes of Scarletta’s orders.
11. Who tops?
No.
12. Who initiates kisses?
Sugar. Scarletta loves kisses from Sugar but is a bit shy about them. So Sugar goes “Fine I’ll do it myself then.”
13. Who reaches for the other's hand first?
Okay I know I literally just said Scarletta is shy about kisses, but this is different. She does the reaching for Sugar’s hand. It’s still sweet and affectionate, but a little less… forward? Intense? And more subtle. Yeah.
14. Who kisses the hardest?
Again, in reference to Question 12. Scarletta is shy about starting kisses, but once she and Sugar are into it? Oh boy. Yeah, she kisses harder. She loves that feeling.
15. Who wakes up first?
Sugar, working at a bakery, is already used to getting up super early. So it’s her.
16. Who wants to stay in bed just a little longer?
Sugar: “Scarlie, come on. I have to help out with preparing all the treats for the Sweet Truck.” Scarletta: *clinging to Sugar like a koala* “Hhhh… no.” Sugar: “...I’ll make you extra cinnamon rolls today.” Scarletta: “...Fine.”
17. Who says I love you first?
Hmmm.... it's an equal thing for both of them with this one.
18. Who leaves little notes in the other's lunch? (Bonus: what does it usually say?)
They both do that for each other. And, as for the bonus: Scarletta will pack an extra sprinkles bottle in Sugar's food. Not for the food, ofc, it's for Sugar's own hair sprinkles. It usually says "Please don't forget your sprinkles. A happy Sugar is a happy Scarletta <3"
A little cheesy, and Sugar will tease Scarlie about it. She just goes "Oh uh- yeah yeah of course. Um- yeah-"
19. Who tells their family/friends about their relationship first?
Okay, Scarletta… doesn’t really have a family. She was bounced around foster homes as a kid, and it was like that until she grew up. And she didn’t have many friends, either, as much as she longed for them. And she was bullied a lot.
That did change once she moved into Downtown and got reacquainted with Penny, and by extension, all of Penny’s friends. Among Penny’s friends were her co-workers at Sweet Delights ofc- which includes Sugaarrrrrrrrr.
Sugar has her parents- her mom and mother- who love her good and well. And she knows her moms are cool with her dating, so she’s comfortable enough to tell them.
I guess, all of that, by default makes Sugar the first to tell other people about her new relationship. This is Scarletta’s first relationship, after all, so she’s working things out and wouldn’t want to just flaunt it around. Once she does get settled into it she gets more confident telling people.
20. What do their family/friends think of their relationship?
Sugar’s Moms: Supportive! Scarletta was very nervous the night meeting them- those are her girlfriend’s parents, of course she wants to impress them. So, other than laying off her tough attitude for them, she wanted to be honest with them. And they like Scarletta! They’re just happy Sugar is happy with this new girl.
Hazy Summers: Sunil, Tootsie, and Shivers could see the signs Scarletta was into Sugar. They just never mentioned it cause, well, it’s none of their business. So when Scarletta finally tells them, they suppress the urge to go “Oh yeah we knew”. Nope. So instead they just play it off like, “Oh wow congrats! That’s nice yes yes very nice.”
The Sweet Delights Staff: Something similar happened there too. They could tell. Except this time they actually did go “Oh yeah we knew. Anyway, congrats!”
21. Who is more likely to start dancing with the other?
Sugar Sugar Sugar- look it's usually Sugar who initiates stuff. Usually, not always. But usually. Yeah.
22. Who cooks more/who is better at cooking?
Scarletta is decent enough at cooking. But Sugar is just awesome at it. They take turns with the kitchen, but again think of it like a 60% and 40% sorta thing.
23. Who comes up with cheesy pick up lines?
Sugar. Even from the very start, she was using only the cheesiest of things to make Scarletta blush.
Sugar: "“Alright, but we have a raisin variation of this treat! Do you like raisins?" Scarletta: *whispers to self* "Why do I feel like this is leading somewhere-" *normal volume* "Okay, I guess I like raisins?" Sugar: "Hmm, I see... Alright, how do you feel about a date?” Scarletta: ...! *blushing* "Just- ugh! Can I have the cookies or not?!"
24. Who whispers inappropriate things in the other's ear during inappropriate times?
No.
25. Who needs more assurance?
Scarletta. First relationship and all. At first she acted like she didn't need it, but then she relented and embraced the fact that she just needs help sometimes.
26. What would be their theme song?
A song they wrote together, I guess? Idk I’m not into the whole songs for characters things as much.
27. Who would sing to their child back to sleep?
First off, these girls are not having children. To Scarletta it’s just a straight up and full no. While Sugar is just a bit more open to the idea, it’s really not her priority.
That being said, in the situation they ever do have one, they take turns. Both of them sing, so ykyk.
28. What do they do when they're away from each other?
There’s missing and yearning. They’ll text and call if they have time between whatever they’re doing. They love the reunion.

Endless Days, Infinite Nights
A little one-shot I made for my beautiful and talented friend @sneaksandsweets of her OC Dreki and Vilkas which I thought I would share with you all. I hope you're in the mood for a super sappy wedding. <3
Scattered clouds roll their way over the plains of Whiterun as they chase their way across what is left of the fading day. To any other, it would appear to be a normal summer evening—a warm breeze plays its way over the long grasses, and crickets are just beginning to tune their instruments to begin their nightly chorus. It is peaceful, and it is calm. The last rays of sun reach out to stain the sky with brilliants reds, pinks, and oranges. 
Vilkas could not have asked for more.
As he looks out into the small group of people before him, many faces jump out at him as they smile and nod to acknowledge his gaze. All of his brothers and sisters at Jorrvaskr and the Grey-Manes are present. Even Ulfric and Dahlia made their way from Windhelm just for the occasion as they would not dream of missing this for anything.
The minutes stretch on while Vilkas stands next to the priest of Mara—firm in his stance as he is in all things in life. Today is no different; however, there is a slight nervous tapping of his toes as he waits impatiently for what is to come.
Despite the large space of Jorrvaskr’s yard, it suddenly feels unbearably small to him. Each second he does not see Dreki is another which makes it harder for him to breathe. But when he finally does spot her some uncountable number of moments later, it steals what is left of the breath from his lungs.
Dreki appears, and her nervous legs carry her body slowly down the path made for her. It contrasts sharply with the quick, pattering beats of her heart. Everything is moving both too quickly and too slowly for her liking. Her legs feel almost leaden as she steadily picks up one after to make her way to the altar—to her prize.
Suddenly, she is forced to stop when a particularly strong wind blows around her, casting some of the petals of her flower crown about her in a colorful rain and ruffling the skirts of her dress. She chose her attire to be simple: a light, airy cotton shift with golden embroidery swirling through the seams. It all flows effortlessly around her, emphasizing her soft curves; however, it tangles easily around her legs.
Dreki’s eyes flick around her anxiously as she notices that all of the attention is now on her. Her breath starts coming in short gasps, and she begins to panic. 
However, it is not for long.
Vilkas makes his way to her, picking her up effortlessly and carrying her the rest of the way to their final destination. She blushes furiously the entire way, not just because of the way he makes holding her look so easy, but also because she can’t help but notice the way his crisp, white tunic parts into a shallow V neck.
“Eyes up here, sweetness.” He chides her lightly. “We will have all night for that later.” He teases her.
If possible, she turns even more red.
“Vilkas…”
All he does is wink at her, and put her down before the priest.
As the ceremony begins, neither of them really register the words being said to them. That isn’t what is important to either of them, and they are far too busy wrapped up in thoughts of each other.
“Now and forever” each of them repeats when it is their turn. Every word falling from their tongues with sincere feeling—honor and adoration their lifelong promise.
Finally, it is time. 
When the priest places their hands in the other’s to pronounce them to be wed, Vilkas steals a moment for himself, noting the exact way the light hits Dreki’s eyes. It is a picture he will never forget for the rest of his days—the welcoming glow of their future with endless golden days spent together at her side.
And when Dreki looks back, she is eclipsed by twinkling pools of silver—their infinite nights stretched out before her as they are immersed in a spectacular twilight sea.
Together, they are beginning and end: a completion of each other.
Together, they will spend the rest of their endless days and infinite nights until the end of time itself.
Together, there is nothing that either of them will ever want for; this is all they have ever wanted.
As the sun finally sinks under the horizon, Vilkas takes Dreki’s hands in his own, dipping her dramatically before the cheering crowd of their closest family members, and claims her lips for his own at last.
“I now proclaim this couple to be wed. May they live in light and love in Mara’s path until the end of their days.”

Round 3; Plastic/Fake strawberry flowers Vs White Egret Orchid

First, let's talk about the Plastic/Fake Strawberry Flowers
Why this flower was chosen: Because he is very germaphobic and also phobic of the things that are in flowers and thus hates nature because it’s dirty (his friends even said that he would be would be a plastic flower if he were one) and strawberry because that’s the smell of the shampoo his wife used and that he can still smell on the pillow she slept on that he keeps (in a plastic case) and hugs when he’s sad Description: He’s a detective. His wife was murdered and for three years after that he didn’t leave the house because his phobias that he had before got exponentially worse. He slowly did start coming out of his house and getting better trying to figure out why his wife was murdered while solving other crimes. He has 312 phobias [...] He has impeccable memory, doesn’t like people and will 100% put his phobias and needs over manners. He can clean his house in his sleep, literally. At the end of the day he is a very nice friend but annoys the crap outa his friends and often [...] doesn’t realise they consider him a friend [...] He also says “Unless I’m wrong, which you know, I’m not”. He always has his assistant carry wipes around and wipes his hands every time he shakes someone’s hand. He is very tight (as in with money) [...] and and its hilarious when he hasn’t paid his assistant because he doesn’t have money (while still buying copious amounts of cleaning supplies) and because he’s so non confrontational he doesn’t want to ask for a raise even tho it’s a totally legit ask (which is also hilarious in and of itself) he ends up just avoiding the subject in any way possible. He once was forced to decorate for Christmas (which he doesn’t do since his wife died) and he used not a fake tree but a paper cut out of a tree. He doesn’t at all know what would insult someone and rarely knows how to make someone feel better (often failing miserably but occasionally actually helping and being super wholesome). He hates/is scared of nakedness (and doesn’t even “look” when he wees) and there was a whole thing where he had to investigate a nudist [...](he was in the end more accepting of it but still freaked out) He also wears the same clothes every day and buys shirts checked by a specific checker in a factory that he actually sent a fan letter to [...]. Anyway he is very relatable for just introverted people or awkward people in general [...]. Apart from just mostly normal people, he is relatable for the people who share his mental conditions like my dad who is a germaphobe and even tho people still don’t understand germaphobia really, he knows that he gets it and he relates to him a lot. And he has a lot of other things like anxiety, and little things like not being able to deal with change and other stuff that just make him super relatable to neurodevergent people like me. When people first look at people with mental problems they say they are weak that so little sets them off but in reality, they are dealing with so so much that you can’t see and you don’t need to deal with and they- and he is (are) so incredibly strong. I love him so much and I would say more but I don’t want to reveal who he is.

Meaning: The White Egret Orchid means "My thoughts will follow you into your dreams" in Japanese flower language. Description: A sweet older sibling, who died young. Their untimely demise was at the hands of their younger sibling, but their sibling doesn't know for years. They play an instrument, which is linked their death.

TRANSFORMERS: INSTRUMENTS OF DESTRUCTION
Haven't really made anything Transformers-related on this blog. Figured now would be a great time to fix that!
Based on the works of Tyrranux comes a Transformers story filled with metal songs, anime-escue action, and insane battles!
TRANSFORMERS: INTRUMENTS OF DESTRUCTION
AUTOBOT RESISTANCE
ORION PAX (voiced by Roger Craig Smith)
BIO: A gentle heart behind an otherwise die-cast frame built for war. Deep down, he wants nothing to do with all this violence and bloodshed. But even if he wasn’t the son of Sentinel Prime sharing his strong sense of justice, Orion would not turn away from this. And above all else, he cannot forgive the ruling power of Cybertron for the disappearance of the Imperial Princess Puritronus. His best friend P-Tree. He can sense it, he doesn’t know how or why, but his instincts tell him that she is alive and that she’s out there. He's gone so far as to gather intel on her possible location. And now that his father has given him the all-clear, he's taking a team down to Kaon to look for her.
ROBOT MODE DESCRIPTION: Dark red and navy blue colors surround a bulky frame, with a retractable battle mask that slides over his face. His dark blue "hair" is tied in a bun.
ALT MODE DESCRIPTION: Off-road armored truck outfitted with reinforced windows, enhanced thrusters, and a trailer hitch to carry necessary gear to troops on the battlefield.
MELEE WEAPON: Heavy battle-axe with a superheated blade and propulsion engine on the back to aid in extra damage.
FIREARM LOADOUT: Assault rifles, shotguns, pistols.
ENERGON ABILITY: A unique super-state that allows him to transform into what is said to be what is his true form, Optimus Prime. In this form, his colors brighten, his "hair" now flows free, and his robot mode is more knightly. He can now fire continual beams of searing light from his hands, teleport, and fly. The only downside is that this form isn't permanent. But he hopes that one day, it will be.
ARCEE (voiced by Kari Wahlgren)
BIO: Lead singer of the heavy metal band Sterner Stuff. Like most citizens of Cybertron, she has suffered her fair share of grievances from the corrupt regime running this planet into the ground, picking up music to not only air out her frustration but also hope that even one of her songs might inspire change in the people. She's just as much a hot-blooded firecracker with any gun as she is with a mic, bringing the same passion to any task put before her. The moment you give an inch, she will take a whole drag strip.
ROBOT MODE DESCRIPTION: Slim, yet muscular, Arcee's cherry red armor is covered in numerous "tattoos" from various concerts. She's never seen without her red visor over her optics, and her dark red "hair" is always in a wild mohawk. Very punkish.
ALT MODE DESCRIPTION: A speedy muscle car with propulsion jets to keep up with her brother and the competition. It also has a mounted photon turret on the back to deal with ranged foes, and twin spikes in the front of the car for when someone needs to be skewered.
MELEE WEAPON: Twin nano-vibronic sabers that Arcee wields with insane finesse.
FIREARM LOADOUT: Submachine guns, shotguns, sniper rifles.
ENERGON ABILITY: A rage mode where her optics turn a feral yellow and she goes completely buck wild, clawing and mutilating all that stands before her.
BUMBLEBEE (voiced by Max Mittleman)
BIO: Both drummer of Sterner Stuff and the band’s residential fembot fan-attracting heartthrob. As Arcee’s younger brother, he boasts much of the same hot-blooded construction, the same drive to see any task he takes to the end. And indeed, he was there to share in the frequent social injustices at the hands of the corrupt regime. While not as physically strong as his more tenacious sister, he's easily the faster runner. And the louder mouth.
ROBOT MODE DESCRIPTION: A slender build, accompanied by a yellow and black paint job. Bumblebee often wears all-black goggles into battle, gifted by his mentor, Hot Shot, right before Sterner Stuff's first concert. His short blonde "hair" combined with his goggles makes him look like what he is... an ideal metal star. (cough cough Chester Bennington!)
ALT MODE DESCRIPTION: A compact sports car, built for speed. It also comes equipped with twin plasma guns in the front for light-ranged fire. And he has incredibly powerful boosters that can be attached. He just can't control them yet.
MELEE WEAPON: Two stun batons that Bumblebee swings around as he does with his drumsticks on stage.
FIREARM LOADOUT: Submachine guns, sniper rifles, pistols.
ENERGON ABILITY: Short-ranged EMP that disorients Cybertronians and disables non-living machines.
MIRAGE (voiced by Ron Yuan)
BIO: A Cybertron Military Police officer who had been able to retire a decorated war hero after thirty vorns of service, but you’d swear he was court marshaled for a war crime with how poorly the system treated him and his fellow veterans. So he and a few of his ilk struck out into the wild, living off the platinum land. And in that time, he had become a master of Circuit-Su and Metallikato, bettering himself in combat and spirituality. But then his brother Prowl was murdered, driving him to come back out of the shadows to help the Autobots in liberating Cybertron.
ROBOT MODE DESCRIPTION: Faded blue and silver armor, a long silver "ponytail" and jagged edges say it all. Cyber-Ninja.
ALT MODE DESCRIPTION: Sleek, exotic-looking sports car. Very luxurious.
MELEE WEAPONS: Crazy-looking triple-bladed gauntlets, which he uses like a crazed jungle cat.
FIREARM LOADOUT: Sniper rifles, pistols, assault rifles.
ENERGON ABILITY: He can manipulate the light around him to turn completely invisible.
WHEELJACK (voiced by Andrew Bowen)
BIO: The former champion of the Althiex Demolition Derbies, Wheeljack was always in need of repairing himself. Always in need of an edge. And as such, he opened his engineering shop for all those like him. But when he was accused of storing illegal materials in his shop, he was thrown out into the streets. Forced to fend for himself, Wheeljack honed his skills and eventually became a full-time Autobot. The Resistance has been a fun ride for him... so far...
ROBOT MODE DESCRIPTION: Wearing the greens and reds of his old derby team has its perks (namely recognition). But then you add on his bulkier frame for a racer, countless scars, coat flaps, "stubble" and dark green "hair" that is anything but well kept. This just screams one thing. This guy's nuts. And that's right.
ALT MODE DESCRIPTION: Durable, compact, and wild-looking, this rally racer looks like it has seen some shit. It bears plenty of scratches and a particularly nasty burn mark. On the left side.
MELEE WEAPON: A big-ass sword with a blade like a cleaver, capable of slicing someone down the middle if they piss him off.
FIREARM LOADOUTS: Machine guns, shotguns, rocket launchers.
ENERGON ABILITY: He can overcharge his circuits, surrounding himself in an unstable, electric aura. This hurts him quite a bit, but if his Derby career shows anything, he's durable.
SILVERBOLT (voiced by Patrick Seitz)
BIO: Most know him as a respected member of the Iacon Police Force, by all accounts, he is one of the many soldiers serving Zeta Prime. But it is because of his station that he can serve as a mole for the Autobots keeping tabs on the Regime he pretends to serve, even carrying out covert operations to get wrongfully accused innocents out of the city. But now the time has come for him to join the Resistance full-time. And the Autobots are anything but disappointed.
ROBOT MODE DESCRIPTION: He has very knightly-looking white and gold armor, a well-groomed white "ponytail" and his wing markings from his time in the Regime are scratched out, replaced with the Autobot insignia.
ALT MODE DESCRIPTION: A powerful fighter jet, with enough concussion missiles to pound away a mountain.
MELEE WEAPON: Two longswords, each one looking very regal in nature, and he wields them with amazing grace.
FIREARM LOADOUT: Assault rifles, machine guns, rocket launchers.
ENERGON ABILITY: In times of need, Silverbolt can manifest a glaive of pure light, capable of cutting through most known metals.
GRIMLOCK (voiced by Kaji Tang)
BIO: As one of the many child soldiers sold to the Pits of Kaon after the Third Helexian Siege, he's grown up with death by his side every waking moment. He's always aware that death comes to all who enter these gladiatorial fights. And even his code of honor does not keep him from taking lives. So it was most curious to him that Soundwave saw fit to spare his life in the ring, then to have him train the up-and-comer “Megatron” in the ways of the sword. It was not until that very same Megatron would form the Decepticons did he realize why fate allowed his spark to pulse. He is so far the only one to be given the offer to join the Decepticons... and refuse.
ROBOT MODE DESCRIPTION: Barbaric, beastly grey and gold armor, with fiery red "hair" and a face almost obscured by his gladiator helmet and visor. He has too many scars to count and has a story for each of them.

BIO: Brutal, efficient, without mercy, champion. Those are but a handful of words used to describe this bitch queen of the ring, the reigning champion for the past two vorns. The way she tore asunder the previous champion, the cannibal Rampage, is an event that will live in infamy within the ancient tomes of Kaon. But even more shocking is how she showed “mercy” towards those who tried to take her crown, deeming them far too weak and pathetic to kill, that by sparing their worthless lives they now belong to her as trophies… or so she says. She indeed now holds claim over the lives of her defeated foes, but those who know her best know she has no interest in mere trophies. What she really wants… is soldiers…
ROBOT MODE DESCRIPTION: Beauty and beast in one single, grey and red die-cast shell. Her long, pale purple "hair" contrasts with her piercing red, rage-fueled optic and the numerous scars adorning her body.
ALT MODE DESCRIPTION: A massive, sharp-treaded tank, with a central fusion cannon, twin heavy ion ray blasters. missile pods, and frontal buzzsaws.
MELEE WEAPON: Her tank tread fists are capable of breaking through most metals with a single punch. She can also grab foes by the face and grind them against the moving treads.
FIREARM LOADOUTS: Fusion cannon (cannot switch out), shotguns, pistols.
ENERGON ABILITY: When needed, Megatron can draw an ethereal, gigantic sword, which can cleave through heavy armor and even small buildings with a single stroke.
SOUNDWAVE (voiced by Darin De Paul)
BIO: A professional assassin, infamous throughout Cybertron, has made his reputation as a nameless fear who always gets his target. Of all the bots to help the crowned Princess Puritronus escape her cruel mother, you'd never expect it to be him. But now Puritronus has all but vanished off the face of the planet. Seemingly, he has all but disappeared as well... but here he is in Kaon, with no sign of Puritronus…
ROBOT MODE DESCRIPTION: Sleek, blue, and silver armor, compact with several markings. Soundwave's dark purple "hair" hangs loose, and his face is hidden behind a silver mask and piercing red visor.
ALT MODE DESCRIPTION: A six-wheeled off-road vehicle with hidden pulse thrusters and hypersonic concussion cannons.
MELEE WEAPON: A two-pronged sword resembling a tuning fork, this blade can discharge lethal amounts of electricity.
FIREARM LOADOUT: Submachine guns, pistols, sniper rifles.
ENERGON ABILITY: Soundwave can peer into the minds of his foes, disorienting them and revealing their locations to him.
BLITZWING (voiced by Jim Pirri)
BIO: Was once the unruly twins Runabout and Runamuck, two violent delinquents that couldn’t even cooperate with each other much less any other bots. This more than made their performance suffer, leading the two to be punished by becoming the guinea pigs of Shockwave’s first attempt at a Triple Changer with three vastly different forms. The initial results are quite interesting… if a bit on the horrific side….
ROBOT MODE DESCRIPTION: A terrifying brute with beige and purple armor, an all-blue face with red, wild purple "hair", and rows of jagged teeth. His wings have a jagged edge on the end, as well as massive clawed fingers.
ALT MODE DESCRIPTIONS: Both a large fighter jet with ice crystal machine guns and a gigantic dual-barrelled tank with flame burst cannons.
MELEE WEAPON: A double-edged sword with unstable antimatter in its core.
FIREARM LOADOUT: Machine guns, rocket launchers, sniper rifles.
ENERGON ABILITY: Can coat one fist in fire and the other in ice. Both fists deal the respective elemental damage.
THUNDERWING (voiced by Fred Tatasciore)
BIO: Orion Pax’s academic mentor Dion, the old bleeding spark fool who made the mistake of following his apprentice into the Sea of Rust. He too became a prisoner of Kaon, quickly adopting the façade of the loud gun-toting, blood-thirsty maniac “Thunderwing” just to ensure the two of them don’t get rendered as spare parts by the other enslaved gladiators. And after the jig was up, he was brainwashed into keeping the Thunderwing persona. All hell is about to break loose.
ROBOT MODE DESCRIPTION: Bulky, savage grey and purple armor, a regal red "ponytail" and scars across his face show he's both an elegant philosopher and a brutal destroyer.
ALT MODE DESCRIPTION: A large imperial bomber armed with several plasma impact guns.
MELEE WEAPON: An imperial mace with the destructive capability of having a graviton engine within it. Long story short, extra force when it hits something.
FIREARM LOADOUTS: Rocket launchers, machine guns, pistols.
ENERGON ABILITY: A "roar" that has the concussive force to knock Autobots on their tailpipes.
LOCKDOWN (voiced by Ron Perlman)
BIO: One of the many head hunters working for Abominus, his job being to find fresh new “challengers” for the arena. Even when he becomes a Decepticon, his job description doesn’t change much. Still, the cold merciless hunter he always was... but now he no longer has to worry about leaving his targets alive.
ROBOT MODE DESCRIPTION: Slender, mysterious, and creepy. His black and green color scheme perfectly complements his more rugged, commando appearance. His dark silverish green "hair" is more organized, and his large scar over his right optic shows that he's been through Hell.
ALT MODE DESCRIPTION: A beefy, armored muscle car with an EMP disruptor built into the hood. Perfect for taking hits and avoiding them as well.
MELEE WEAPON: Grappling combat sickle with the capability to tear heads clean off.
FIREARM LOADOUT: Sniper rifles, shotguns, pistols.
ENERGON ABILITY: With a flash of his optics, Lockdown can scan the surrounding area to sniff out anyone he needs to track.
STARSCREAM (voiced by Erica Mendez)
BIO: The Split-Spark twin of Puritronus, Starscream despises being the lower of the two. She always tried to make peace with her sister and be a proper family. But every time, Puritronus pushed her away. And after she went missing, Starscream became nihilistic. But how long will it take until nihilism turns to blinding bloodlust?
ROBOT MODE DESCRIPTION: A strange mix of white and red, Starscream rocks the dark blue emo "hair" covering her left optic. And aside from her wicked claws, even her wings are sharp.
ALT MODE DESCRIPTION: A regal fighter jet with rotary proton cannons in the nose cone.
MELEE WEAPON: She wields a yo-yo-like buzzsaw flail capable of cutting through solid Destronium in seconds.
FIREARM LOAUDOUT: Machine guns, sniper rifles, rocket launchers.
ENERGON ABILITY: With a flourish of kicks, Starscream fires a torrent of null rays from her shins.

Game of Thrones, Ramin Djawadi
A general overview of Ramin Djawadi's masterpiece of a score quickly devolves into a love letter!
The Game of Thrones score is the next evolutionary step in Zimmer’s program of prestige enormity and super-macho delicacy, the soaring soulfulness of peak John Williams married to the thunderous menace of Djawadi’s beloved Metallica.
Rob Harvilla succinctly encapsulates how I would describe Djawadi's messianic score. Djawadi rejuvenates what it means to have story-enhancing scores. He underscores into the particularities of narratives. Rather than reflect a singular cinematic environment and story arc, Djawadi spins a web of interconnected themes and motifs to elevate all characters' voices. He composes themes for characters, houses, groups, locations and more ... the delicately deadly Arya Stark theme, the dauntless Greyjoy score, the horribly ominous Chaos is a Ladder, the desolate iciness, enormity, and power of the Wall and all its Northern inhabitants. What dedication from this artist to color each and every character/scene with the nuance it demands.
Much of this intentionality manifests in Djawadi's exceptional instrumentation. He implements instruments to bolster the experience and tone of the score and scene overall. Djawadi employs a strong string core -- leaning heavily on cello and violin -- while also pulling in the Armenian duduk, Indonesian drums, glass harmonica (absolutely transforming the timbre of each theme!!).
Most notably to me, is Djawadi's use of human voice. He wields the choir to emulate the significance and influence of a Greek chorus. The choir reminds listeners of ethical implications and ultimately, the People. Sometimes it manifests magnificently as a liberated people in Mhysa, though other times its featured as a ghoulish cautionary tale to not forget the lives lost to the God of Death in Winter is Here.
Among his other achievements, Djawadi writes a masterclass of manipulating keys and diatonic modes. He uses major keys to unnerve listeners and highlight pre-established tones. He makes minor keys sound triumphant and beautiful while also carrying lament and severity.
I came across a DirectTV Insider article that provides the perfect example in that of the Main Theme: "While the theme is set in a minor key, the opening bars offer a brief dalliance to a parallel major key before slipping back as the melody begins. That musical glimmer of hope actually tells you a lot about the show: just when you think you’re safe, you’re back in the realm of betrayal, poison, and undead hordes." If while listening to his work you think you noticed something unique, you did. You are correct. Ramin Djawadi put it their for your pleasure.
Overall, Djawadi proves a paragon of cinematic scoring. Djawadi's score proves evocative not merely due to its technical victories but due to his intentionality and piercing desire to waken us as an audience. He yearns for his music to fortify our emotional connection to the scene, the story, and the humanity of a Song of Ice & Fire.
If Djawadi is celebrated until the end of time, it will still not be enough.

And even though you’re not an adult, he’ll go to you for advice. This makes the rest of the crew confused (and low-key mad) because he doesn't want their advice
But most of the time he doesn’t take your advice anyways
I think that you two are close, seeing as he is endlessly extroverted and will break through your walls no matter how hard you try
Most of the time he leaves you to your own devices, but he will drag you to large parties and make you feel as welcome as possible
He does the same on the ship, but that was never a problem anyways because everyone likes you
Feels the need to protect you, not only because you’re a member of the crew, but also because you’re the youngest

Ultimate big brother vibes
Likes to go to you for a quiet space because the ship can be loud
So he spends a lot of time with you… sleeping
He also half-asks questions to fill up the space and gets to know you pretty well
He also feels a need to protect you since he sees you as kinda weak (but almost everyone is weaker compared to him)
He will also feel the need to shield you from the craziness of the ship
Like sir, it’s nice that you care, but they can take care of themselves too you know?
Doesn't incorporate you into the crew since… he’s mostly sleeping. But he would try, and he would fail because they already like you
Cue him being shocked that he wasn’t your only friend on board, but to be fair he is sleeping most of the time and not watching you
He likes the calmness you bring to the ship, good for his meditation sessions (but I don't think you want to just sit there why he meditates)

She’s like the cool and fun older sister
She likes to dress you up in her old clothes, and then gush about how cute you look (no, not her super tiny bikinis)
She takes it onto herself to guide you through… whatever I guess

I think that she gives good advice, but when combined with Robin the two of them give life-altering wisdom
You can go to her for anything from how to sew to how to manipulate people
Always gives you juice when the crew starts drinking
If the ship starts to get too rowdy she will shout at everyone to keep it down, and then turn to smile at you as if her actions were for you
She will share her tangerines with you
I think that she wants to protect you, but is frustrated at the fact that she can’t be as strong as the Monster trio (but everything works out in the end)
If you borrow money from her, she will reduce the interest (only by a little)
9/10 only downside is the interest (if you ever borrow money)
Usopp
He was high-key suspicious of you
To be fair he is suspicious of anyone and everything, and seeing as you were quiet he was on the edge
But after you saved his life, he gets all buddy-buddy (really Usopp? You got saved by a teenager)
I think the two of you would get to know each other when he’s working on a new invention, and you guys are having idle chatter
Now he tried to act like a cool older brother. Always ready to swoop in and talk about his “accomplishments”
He will do just about anything to make you laugh
I can see some crazy (but fun) times with him, Chopper, and Luffy
He would give bad advice, but occasionally he does have some piece of wisdom
He would try to protect you, but… yeah
He ends up feeling bad, and incompetent. But tell him that he was amazing or something and he’ll be fine
I think he would get frustrated when you beat him at a game of cards
10/10 he is just so fun to be around
Sanji
Also acts like an older brother
He tries to protect you from guys, saying that they’re all dogs (but then you point out that he’s a guy)
This also means he tries to limit your time around Zoro, saying that he’s a bad influence
Then the two start to fight and right as they pull you into it, Nami hits both of them and carries you off to eat or something
Gives you more food because you’re still growing
He is a surprisingly good listener and when he chimes in his advice are always good
And like all of the crew, he will try to protect you from danger (ma’am you are still a teen, why are you on this ship? Oh wait, Luffy…)
I said he acts like your older brother, but he also acts like a proud dad sometimes
Like sir, why are you crying? All they did was perform twinkle twinkle little star on the piano (Brook taught you)
He also tries to restrain his pervert tendencies around you, but when they inevitably happen he can’t look you in the eyes for several days (he also smokes more. It gets to a point where you have to confront him)
He also teaches you how to cook
8/10 he can get a little extra sometimes
Chopper
If things get too crazy on the ship, he likes to go to you
I feel like he would try to act like a big brother, but you would just pet him (sorry Chopper)
I can see Chopper trying to get you to socialize more with the crew. Just drags you out with his tiny Reindeer paws
I can see you confiding in him a lot because it’s kinda like venting to a stuffed animal (again, sorry Chopper)
He gives (almost) child-like advice, but it’s so simple and it always works
I think you would beat both him and Usopp at games, and then they would proceed to chase you around
He would try to protect you, but he also knows that you need to push yourself to get stronger, so he lets you fight some of your fights
When you end up hurt, he always makes sure to be extra vigilant with your care
I believe that you would also try to protect him, but his pride would end up hurt
I think you two would spend a lot of time in his office for a quiet place to read (and for him to do work)
He makes you help him organize stuff
10/10 a great duo
Robin
She is the kind older sister
She is such a good listener, and her advice would solve all of the world's problems
If things get crazy on the ship, you go to her. She has the presence of calm around her that just soothes you
I think she would also like to participate in dressing you up with Nami. That means you get to wear Nami’s old clothes and Robin’s old clothes
Robin always has an extra book and cup of tea reserved for you. Tea times are when you two like to ramble about anything and everything. This is also the place where you can vent and the both of you talk about your past
She would like to teach you about world history, while you listen and ask questions
She would try to teach you how to read one glyph, but if it’s too hard she stops (and low-key gets sad)
Robin also lets you help her garden. She enjoys having a person keep her company while she does the things that make her happy
She thinks that you are too adorable, and that also makes her go into a momma bear mode when she thinks you are in danger
She will yell at crew members, and she will annihilate the enemies
Robin sees you in a similar way to Chopper, so if you say something dirty or cuss, her image of you will be ruined
10/10 she is perfection
Franky
I see him as a weird uncle figure
He mostly hides in his workshop and creates weird but cool inventions while you watch him and ask what he is doing
I don’t see you two talking about important things, just you two having fun and making jokes
He is fun to watch, but when he tries to get you to participate— it’s even more fun
I can see Robin trying to shield you from him (hey, he says he’s a pervert)
He would share his cola with you (I can see some very fun crew bonding time when everyone gets cola and huddles around Franky’s new invention)
Franky is the opposite of shy, so sometimes it gets to be a bit too much
Like sir, please leave them alone for one second
I think that Franky and Usopp would try to teach you how to make things
And if you like to prank people… they’ve created a monster
Expect all three of you to get yelled at
8/10 pretty good, but he does say some stuff that you don’t get sometimes
Brook
Another weird uncle
When he asked to see your panties, both Robin and Nami slapped him so hard, he had flown off
He never asked again
I can see him joining in on the Robin history over tea, and add things in he knows from living during the period (dang he’s old)
He occasionally makes the tea you three drink
I think he would try to teach you how to use a sword, and then get yelled at so he teaches you to play instruments instead
He’s a surprisingly easy-going teacher, if you don’t practice he’s not mad. He just assumes you don't want to learn. That means he won’t teach you, which leads you to practice
He would let you peek inside of his skull and then jumpscare you. It works every time
Brook would tell you about what he did during the two-year time skip, all while you’re laughing at the fact they called him Satan
I think that being around you and Luffy would make him remember his days as a teen
Starts to get all weary like a dad (and just like Sanji)
7/10 rough start, but good ending
Jinbei
He is the dad (not like, is)
He is always concerned for your health, and whether you should be fighting or not
He told Luffy that it was ridiculous to bring a teen on board, but then he realized Luffy is only 19…
Jinbei is always there to make sure you feel included, and will often leave the crew’s festivities just to hang out with you
Honestly, his old man self likes the quiet you bring
If you ask him, he’ll tell you about Fishman history (also over Robin History Tea Times)
100% tries to protect you. I think that can make you frustrated at times, but he has saved you so you can’t be too mad
So he teaches you Fishman Karate (it gets Robin’s stamp of approval because there are no sharp objects)
Jinbei gives the best advice, again dad and old man
He’s able to see different perspectives and tell you the best course of action (that gets annoying when you just want him to take your side, but you have Nami and Robin for that)
Also is proud of you when you achieve something (part of the tears dad group)
10/10 every group needs a parent figure

DITOEFTV headcanons with Og Penelope and Ivonne
-Penelope is super fickle, especially coming to food and taking care of her skin. Hates the sun so she constantly carries around a parasol and sun cream to keep in the shade. Is mostly vegetarian, only eating fish, vegetables, fruits and yogurt (blueberry yoghurt icecream is her favourite), making her skin constantly glowing and healthy. If you serve her any food thats heavy or salty she'll get offended.
-She's very beautiful but is pretty voluptuous for her age. Despite being the same age and a bit younger than Ivonne, Penelope grows up to have a super curvy body and larger breasts which is why she wears a lot of clothes for adults, to define it better and look mature/alluring as if it's an attractive thing for people's attention--so she's kind of hot compared to Ivonne who just has a normal body for a girl her age and is kind of cute.
-Has doe-like eyes lined with cat eye liner like audrey hepburn, a dolly face that's very fair than Ivonne's, slim pretty antelope legs, natural pink cheeks, eye lids and lips that's pink. I like to think Penelope would adore ballet and ice skating because it makes her feel graceful and light instead of feeling heavy, being stuck in her room all day and facing people's torments. And I also think if she were to play an instrument, it would be a flute, piano, violin or harp to express her feelings through music.
-Is very chic/feminine so she mostly wears lots of lace, tulles, flowers, stockings, heels, silk, coats, fur, handbags/purses and wears mostly in her favourite colours; turquoise, white, black, coral pink, pompadour pink. Always wears turquoise or pale lavender eyeshadow with cat eyeliner, or leaves her eyelids alone since they're naturally pink.
-Is addicted to perfumes and has so many strict beauty secrets which she found out herself to make herself look more beautiful--eg) She takes milk baths like marie antoinette, uses sweet almond oil as a body lotion after baths, wears wax lined gloves full of sweet almond oil and rose water when sleeping, and sleeps on silk pillows for her hair. For perfumes, she loves floral, sweet, fruity and powdery perfumes that especially have notes of orange blossom and violets.
-Is literally a mix of Elsa from Frozen, Marinette Dupain Cheng, Chloe Bourgeois from Miraculous Ladybug and maybe even Aria Roscent from The Villainess Reverses The Hourglass. If Aria and Penelope met, they would definitely be best friends and I'm sure Aria would give her advice on how to act around people.
-She adores flowers so she wears them as the main notes in her perfumes and potpourri which she always has it made in her bedroom for her smell them. Has a very detailed bath and skincare routine with products specially made for only, her scared beauty secret that she can tell no one bc she always wants to look her best as a lady. Is known to leave the room smelling like spring.
-Swears to never look at Reynold and Derrick as her brother and calls them young masters in secret and uses the mean words they said to her/their hateful feelings for her to not be any near them or ever talk to them due to the promise to never be family they made her to make. Reynold regrets it and still tries to talk to her while Derrick finds it burdening to his pride and want her to leave it so he could be near her.
-Ivonne is actually a 'stubborn but cute, good girl' and a 'younger twin-sisterly' type of girl who is kind of weak and super empathetic yet has very strong enthusiasm. She's kind to everyone and is willing to help anyone if they ask her for it (If Derrick or Reynold would even allow her to help anyone, but if Ivonne begs then they'll take care of it instead of her).
-She likes to take care of the garden that her mother who passed away in the past grew, which was precious to her and used to cry a lot if she ever saw one flower die like it was the end of the world since it was the only thing left of her mother. Mostly in her day she would just be hanging out with Penelope or Derrick and Reynold, taking care of the garden herself and just do anything simple that would come up to her mind, but she likes to be around her family the most.
-Ivonne and Penelope have a really good relationship; Ivonne loves to be around Penelope as she's mostly hanging out with her the most while Penelope just goes along with whatever Ivonne wants to do but is a bit concerned for her since Ivonne's clumsy and can hardly protect herself so she would scare anyone off if they're acting really strange.
-Ivonne is always on Penelope's side, especially if Derrick and Reynold are being dicks because Penelope hardly ever attacks anyone first. When Derrick and Reynold are trying to talk to Penelope who doesn't want to be around them like Reynold trying to pick a fight with her to get her to talk to him or Derrick trying to say something about what she's doing, Ivonne would call them out and roast them for Penelope even if they don't mean it.
-It's sometimes funny and sometimes it also hits right in the nerves but because of Penelope appearing more attractive in a mature way and being a bit taller, people often mistake Penelope as her older sister or mom which secretly brings down Ivonne's pride as a grown lady like her sister and get her all wary about how her body looks more childish, though she never tells anyone or Penelope about it because she just positively brightens up about it at the end.
-As much as she loves her brothers she is really livid and upset towards them for how they treat Penelope, and can't believe they're like this when they were so kind in her memories. And lord save her when she finds out Derrick's feelings for Penelope and why he's so random towards her, her whole perspective on him changes and the poor cinnamon roll just dies inside that her brother is actually in love with their step sister, feeling more sorry for Penelope to deal with him.
-Cue Ivonne 'ferociously' giving Derrick an earful and protecting Penelope from Derrick from now on and allow Reynold to help as well because I mean, I'm pretty sure Reynold would also be in half disbelief-half disturbed and think his brother is crazy as well if he first hears of it. Lucky Penelope is just loving the show as Derrick is forced to face the reality and his reponsibilites he always denies.

The Geraskier Soccer Parents AU of my dreams (in an early morning strike of weird-brain):
-Geralt knows he isn't the best dad ever. He tries so goddamn hard, but his job is demanding and consumes so much time and even with Ciri being seven already, he still has essentially no clue what he's doing. He sometimes falls into bed, half-dead, and she is the one to give him a good-night kiss. He sometimes forgets she prefers cheese and puts ham on her sandwiches. He is sometimes too happy to have her sleep over at her friends rather than invite them to their house. He doesn't read her all the children's classics, doesn't go trick-or-treating with her, doesn't even pretend Santa Claus is a thing. He isn't the best dad ever. He tries.
-There is one thing he never, ever fails to do and that is take Ciri to soccer practice. Ciri picks up and drops hobbies, interests, even tastes by the week, still unsure what she wants to pursue, but soccer isn't only her favourite pastime, it's theirs. Practice is twice a week and they have a ritual for it. Geralt picks her up from school and drives her there, she tells him about what the dumb boys in her class said, how her art project is going etc. Geralt is there throughout practice, tucked in between Foltest - a guy who is constantly worried for his daughter Adda to get hurt and also very much anxious for her to do well - and Tissaia - a woman who has not one, but three girls in Ciri's age group and several more in others, and knits like a magician - and watches. He takes notes, silently cheers for Ciri.
-After their games and while Ciri changes, Geralt chats with her coach Vesemir - who used to be Geralt's coach, but now prefers to train the girls' teams - about the progress of the team, upcoming tournaments etc. Sometimes when Vesemir is indisposed, Geralt even leads the practice. When Ciri is all done, Tissaia usually has another hat or mitten finished and Geralt and her drive with their girls to whatever food place the girls are in the mood for. They have an early dinner in which Tissaia lectures the girls on their form and in which Ciri is sometimes allowed to sit on Geralt's lap - but only if Fringilla or Yen don't tease hear about it - but in which she definitely gets to steal his milkshake (Geralt hates milkshakes). Geralt only praises her when they're back in the car and Ciri tells him he's too much of a softie with her and should be more like Tissaia. Should maybe marry Tissaia. They both laugh because that is never going to happen.
-Life is good that way. It's not perfect, it's not without bumps, certainly not without tears and scrapes, but whatever the job, whatever injury Geralt carries with him, however long he has to drive, he never, never ever misses soccer practice.
-The season's just kicked off in the year of Ciri's eighth birthday when Geralt and her arrive early on the field to find the stands empty save for a girl in the most ridiculously colorful excercise clothes and blond hair that is braided intricately around her head. With her is a man, maybe five years Geralt's junior. Ciri bolts towards them with a bright grin and Geralt is hesitant to follow. He knows neither the girl nor the man, but from what he can gather she wants to join the team which is just what they need as they're one girl short this season. "Hi, I'm Ciri, I adore your braids." Geralt holds back on the eye-roll. It's nice Ciri can make friends this easily, but his house already is a shrine for role-playing and board games, dolls and random DVDs and another friend means more things Ciri will want to try out. "Thank you," the girl replies and tilts her head to better show them off. "My uncle Jaskier braided them for me, I'm sure he can do yours too." Both girls look up expectantly at the man and Geralt only really notices him then. He is averagely built with bright blue eyes and an even brighter smile. His floral print shirt has three open buttons and his pants barely reach his ankles. He has the look of a flippant music teacher or a hipster coffeeshop owner. His eyes meets Geralt's and, wait, did he just wink? "I'd love to, dear," he says in a smooth voice that absolutely does not go straight to Geralt's guts. Geralt turns on the spot and decides to pressure check the balls, but he can hear the others giggling as Jaskier braids Ciri's hair. "I'm Priscilla by the way. What's up with your dad?" - "Oh, don't mind him, he's bad with meeting new people." - "Very intense." That's Jaskier. Oh, Geralt will show him intense.
-Ciri invites them to their after-practice dinner. Geralt wants to begrudge her that, but she and Priscilla have latched onto each other in record speed and Jaskier actually fights Tissaia on some of her more strict stances and he braids Yen's and Sabrina's hair too, only Fringilla doesn't want him to touch hers which he respects. Geralt and Tissaia glance at each other. Come to a silent agreement. They may not befriend Jaskier, but he's sunny and so good with the girls and they can use someone like him among their ranks, someone who doesn't have Calanthe's tendency for swear words or Crach's tendency to break out beer in the middle of practice or even Nenneke's tendency to relate everything to the workings of god.
-Jaskier is as faithful as Geralt, perhaps the only one who shows up every time without fail. Shani's parents only drop her off and Crach switches between  Cerys' and Hjalmar's practices and Tissaia sometimes texts Geralt to pick up her girls. Jaskier is there, every time, earlier than any of the others. He chats with Vesemir about his day-to-day, brings home-baked cookies for everyone, he cheers and whoops and tries very hard to understand soccer even though it's evident he doesn't. Geralt never wonders why it's him and not Priscilla's parents that come, it's none of his business. He begins to tolerate Jaskier, but he knows that is where he has to draw the line. He has his hands full with Ciri and his job and his brothers too. He can't afford friendships that extend beyond the field.
-Jaskier doesn't let him off though. He always takes the spot next to Geralt (technically an improvement over Foltest's sweaty visage) and prattles on and on, at least until the game begins. When it does, Jaskier divides his attention between the girls and the stack of paper on his lap which he annotates during practice. It's often either sheet music or the illegible scrawl of pre-teens or wonkily drawn instruments. Jaskier already told him, but from that too it is obvious that Geralt's hunch was right, he is a music teacher. Geralt finds his eyes darting to Jaskier's long fingers, nimble and calloused from the various string instruments he plays. Finds himself glancing at where Jaskier's tongue peeks out in concentration. He listens to the man's ramblings and hums his replies and comes to dislike the days when Vesemir isn't there and he has to focus all his attention on giving the girls a good practice. Not that he doesn't want to, it's just that having Jaskier at his back unnerves him.
-(Jaskier for his part doesn’t care at all about soccer, but he cares about Priscilla so he convinced her parents to let him take her; after that, she said it would be fine if he dropped her off and picked her up again, but Jaskier pretends he is super invested in the sport and the team and he is, but mostly he’s invested in charming Geralt)
-After an entire season of mutual pining and obliviousness, Tissaia decides she's had enough and rallies the other parents. She has Foltest organize a big party at his country house, has Nenneke promise to look after the girls (the woman doesn't drink) and has Crach whip out the finest spirits he has in storage. Calanthe makes a phenomenal playlist and it's Tissaia's job to get Geralt to the party (Jaskier's not a problem) and dress up nicely. Only Aridea, Renfri's stepmother, refuses to pitch in, but she's been a bitch anyway.
-When Geralt picks up Jaskier at his downtown flat he has to grip the wheel of his rover hard in order not to short-circuit. Jaskier has done something to his hair that Geralt can't name but that makes him go woozy inside. He wears a plain shirt that compliments his eyes and hugs his body just right and he looks high on life with color in his cheeks and the most dazzling smile. He's gorgeous. "Darling, don't you look dashing," Jaskier says excitedly and props his feet up on the dashboard, only after kissing Geralt on the cheek. Which is not fair. "Likewise," Geralt mutters, then blushes furiously. He didn't want that to come out, oh no. Jaskier either didn't hear or acts like it and they drive in silence to Foltest's country house. Well, aside from the songs Jaskier hums under his breath, some new composition no doubt.
-At first, Geralt thinks it's a nice enough party for someone who doesn't like parties. Foltest's grilling burgers, they all have cocktails, the music is mellow. Not that that stops Jaskier from swirling an already quite drunk Calanthe over the terrace in dazzling moves. Geralt wants to be swirled like that. "You really have it bad, don't you?" Crach comments when he notices Geralt staring. Geralt downs his beer (he's no cocktail drinker) and tries pointedly not to stare at how Jaskier's swinging his ass around.
-The buzz makes it easier and he relieves Foltest at the barbecue for a bit. But then Jaskier walks up to him, a little short on breath and grinning his most flirtatious little grin. It gives him fucking dimples. Sigh. "Hey you big strong man," Jaskier says. He smells like pineapple and coconut, but isn't even a little drunk. "Jask," he says, pointedly flipping a burger. "Foltest says he has an old karaoke machine in the shed, but it's too heavy for me. Help me?" - "...fine." Geralt gestures for Foltest to keep up with the meat and he and Jaskier make their way along a garden path that winds through thickets and by a small pond. The shed is painted blue and white and Geralt and Jaskier find it very much cluttered, but not dirty which is nice. Geralt only understands it's a trap when it's already sprung on them. The tiny click of the look is almost inaudible over Jaskier's anxious commentary of their search for the machine. There is only one small window and no light Geralt can see. Fuck.
-"Ehm, Jaskier?" he reaches out and gently touches Jaskier's shoulder which has the other man yelp and jump. Which doesn't bode well for what Geralt has to tell him. "I think we're trapped." The effect is immediate. Jaskier goes rigid, his breath catches. Is he afraid? Claustrophobic perhaps? Shit, so he can't be in on the joke. "Jask?" - "Geralt. I know we aren't the closest, but I need you to hold me right now." And he launches himself at Geralt. Maybe he is in on the joke? No, he's trembling too hard for that. Geralt catches him and does as asked. "I am absolutely going to die," Jaskier whines into Geralt's neck and Geralt can't help a small chuckle as he rubs Jaskier's back soothingly. This is... surprisingly nice for a trap. Also likely Tissaia's doing. Geralt has a rare idea. "What if I distract you until someone finds us?" he murmurs against Jaskier's hair and Jaskier draws back a little. In the half-dark his eyes glisten, widen when they meet Geralt's. "You would?" - "Close your eyes, Jaskier." Geralt feels a surge of daring, perhaps granted by the intimacy and seclusion of the situation. He catches Jaskier's lips with his own. When they part, Jaskier grins, shaking from something other than fear. "I thought you didn’t much like me," he whispers. "I thought I got on your nerves." - "Idiot." They kiss again and, faintly, Geralt can hear someone cheer from outside.

mina is great with kids because she fits right in with them and will listen to them babble about their interests for HOURS because it truly is interesting to her to learn what makes them happy

she just wants to learn whatever she can from them, because she thinks that they have just as much to teach us
i feel like mina is the type of person who gently inserts self love rhetoric and feminist ideas into her conversations w the kids, because she just wants everyone to be uplifted and for them to notice their strengths without being held back by other people’s opinions
she’s always felt that it was easy to be outwardly excited and to have fun, so she’s really good at getting shy kids out of their shell and helping them to let loose, and will encourage you to open up to them a little bit and be a little warmer
she loves to dance, so she’ll host dance parties with the kids and start something goofy like a conga line and lead them around the common room, making them all giggle like crazy
tsuyu asui.
tsu doesn’t really like the loud noises that kids sometimes make, so she’s more likely to organize a game or put on a movie for the kids to watch to keep things calm and steady
she’d let em pick a nature program or an animal-related movie so that she could chime in & give little facts here & there and make them smile!
tsu is a good babysitter because she encourages kids to be curious about their surroundings, and doesn’t mind at all when kids ask questions about her quirk
she’ll show and tell them whatever they want to know, and will even leap out of excitement sometimes!! she’s so cute!!
katsuki bakugo.
contrary to what other people sometimes say, i don’t think that he’s going to be outright rude to kids or yell at them constantly. yes, i know, he was brash with them in those couple episodes, but he’s blunt—not a bad person. he’s not going to just scream at kids for no reason.
sure, he might get frustrated, but he still wants them to feel safe and protected. that’s what heroes do.
and what better way to keep them feeling safe than teaching them self defense techniques?
he’d be all serious like, “alright, so if a villain has you in a chokehold, what do you do?”
and they’re sitting in front of him, all wide eyed and starry lookin, entranced with what he’s teaching them
“who teaches kids this kind of stuff?” you think. (he does)
i also think katsuki is the kid of person who’s going to cook for them and keep them occupied in that way.
he usually likes making complicated stuff, but he has no problem making it less spicy if it means they’ll calm down for a little bit to eat
while everyone’s eating, you look over to him and see him helping a kid hold their chopsticks, before softly praising them, “there ya go. you’ve got it now.” and giving them a small high five
he’s not someone who’s going to be outwardly soft, so doing things for kids like teaching them things or cooking them meals is how he shows he cares.

tenya likes to tell and read stories with kids, or help them with their homework if they’ve got any
he’ll do terrible voices for all the different characters and make all the kids laugh
he’ll sit patiently with them and will explain the stories or problems just like a teacher would
and he’ll notice if you sneak them any candy, and will call you out discreetly by holding out his hand for some and saying “what? you’re not going to give me one?”

i think she’d be better with older kids because they’re easier to maintain and entertain (in my opinion)
they don’t ask as many random questions, which sometimes overwhelm her, and they’re more likely to listen to what she has to say
i can see her being really flustered with the attention they give her, because they think she’s so cool, but she’s still pretty relaxed cuz she doesn’t wanna freak them out
she’ll let them have lots of snacks and would play music for them!!

she’ll show them as many instruments as they wanna see, and tries not to blush too hard when they cheer and applaud

and he’d do little pranks where he let outs a little shock when they high five him
needless to say, the kids are exhausted when they make it back to their parents

he thinks they’re so fun to be around and that they’re the next generation of heroes, and they’re full of endless potential!
he’s 100% willing to be a human jungle gym and will play wrestle with them to their heart’s content while making sure they’re not being too rough with each other
he’d compliment them for the smallest stuff, saying “wow! that was super manly, kiddo!” cuz he doesn’t want other people to question their abilities
he’s not the greatest cook, but he’s helpful, so he’ll help you cook for them!
he’ll encourage the kids to help however they can, and will let them stir the bowls while encouraging them!!

izuku adores children’s curiosity and how their questions never seem to end
he can relate to it, because of course he loves compiling information and learning as much as he can about a topic
if one of the kids was a fan of all might??? they’re babbling together about all might’s greatest moments and they’re demonstrating how the move went and how the villain ran away pathetically
he’s very soft w kids because he knows how weird he is.
he agrees that it doesn’t make sense for someone of his size to be that strong, but reminds them that everyone’s quirk works differently, and that they shouldn’t judge people for their quirk or how it chooses to manifest
he’s so understanding and kind w the kids whose quirks haven’t manifested yet, because he knows how bad it feels to feel like you’re es than average, and assures them that it’ll come soon! and even if it doesn’t, you can still make a difference!
which is all the more reason for him to be as gentle as possible, following around the little ones like a mother hen and making sure they’re not gonna walk into something or put a toy into their mouth
would probably tire himself out trying to keep track of all of them and they would all fall asleep in a big hug pile 🥺

has a lot of fun with kids, because he’s used to being overshadowed by some of the higher achievers in class 1a
but kids think he’s cool because his quirk is so unique and they can’t help but be fascinated and ask a million questions on what he can do with it
he’s happy to share, because lots of people underestimate him and don’t pay attention to what he has to say
would give them rides on his tail and let them pet it (like denki does!)

he just kinda lets them do their own thing and follows along to make sure that they don’t hurt themselves
would strap a baby to his chest with some tape just to keep them secure with him
and would answer a thousand questions about his quirk without tiring, because he remembers what it was like to be curious of peoples quirks, and he knows they’re not staring to be disrespectful
i think he’s another one that would cook for them, and feel really accomplished when they’re all satisfied
mezo shoji.
although he’s a badass, that’s exactly the reason why he’s the one most hesitant to deal with kids because he’s afraid that he’s going to scare them away
however, he didn’t account for them finding him to be the most fascinating person they’ve laid their eyes on
he would scoop them up in his arms and carry them around and let them use him like a jungle gym
he’s very very gentle with them because he tends to underestimate his strength and would never be able to forgive himself if he was to bring them harm, but he never does because he’s so careful
shoto todoroki.
shoto never really dealt with kids, so he’s hesitant about everything he does.
he’s seen the destruction that his quirk “causes”, and he’s horrified to thing of what could happen if he gets overwhelmed.
shoto underestimates his tolerance and patience. he’s very good with kids, and is very good at getting them to listen.
all it takes is a little flurry of snow and they’re suddenly at full attention for shoto.
ochaco uraraka.
she likes kids, but she’s not very good at being strict with them
they want to read another story? of course she can read another!
they want another snack? sure! why not?
she tries not to let them walk all over her, but they’re just so cute, and she can’t resist.
she’d make their toys float around the room to make them laugh
and they think she’s a princess because of her “magic” and how she wears pink :)

shes great at planning things for them to do and keeping them in line and occupied
games are organized and cooperative, so nobody loses!
although she’s not usually like this, she’s more than willing to give hugs and feel better kisses if someone is to bump their head :(
she would feel terrible if someone got hurt on her watch, so she’s encouraging them the be safe if they’re going to be active!
makes lots of fun little snacks for them to eat, with cute faces and stuff, and doesn’t mind to see her hard work enjoyed by such good kids!

my opinion on/a surprisingly passionate defense of Mulan (2020) (SPOILERS)
I’ve seen a lot of ppl ragging on the new Mulan for so many reasons, so I will go over why these (mostly) are stupid reasons and why I love the new movie.
1. Liu Yifei supporting the Hong Kong police. Now this is not a stupid reason, this is valid. I am an East Asian studies major, and as much as I love Disney, when I first heard the news I knew I could not watch Mulan (2020) in good conscience. It went against everything I have learned in my studies, and everything I believe. However, now I am almost positive Liu Yifei was forced to make those comments- I've seen several sources saying so recently. You can look for these sources on your own, because this isn’t the whole point of my post, but I think it's true. A movie about a woman defying her government and social expectations of the time? Hong Kong citizens could absolutely use her as a symbol for protesting against China. It makes sense that the government would take preventative measures before this could happen. But anyways, I was not planning on watching Mulan (2020) until I found out that what she said was most likely fake/forced.
2. The removal of Mushu. Yes, I too miss Mushu but I completely understand why they did that. A lot of ppl make these sort of complaints about the live action remakes not using humor in the same way as the original, but that’s bc it doesn’t translate well. Humor in animated movies is exaggerated or silly, and it works in that medium but if you do the exact same in a live action film, it will come off as too slapstick. Think Will Ferrell in Elf (still a good movie). Mushu’s whole character is based off of this humor that appeals more to kids, and it would have really made the dialogue with him super cringey. and I know if they made him a more serious supportive character people would've complained about that too, so I understand why they did it.
3. The removal of Li Shang. I miss our bisexual boy too, but I actually think they did a really great job with the new guy Honghui. The directors removed Li Shang because he is in a sense, Mulan’s boss, and they felt that it was too much like the #MeToo movement, which I applaud. At first I was upset that supposedly this new character would be a jerk to Mulan until he found out she was a girl, but that's not what happened in the film fortunately. Honghui and Mulan start off on the wrong foot but they grow as comrades and sort-of friends, and Honghui is the first to stick by Mulan’s side when she reveals who she is. Even if there aren’t as many signals of him being bi, I think they progressed their relationship nicely. (I was sorta hoping for a kiss at the end though).
4. Mulan’s “chi.” Apparently people do not like that Mulan already has a sort of warrior streak inside of her already, as opposed to the 1998 version where she struggles to get used to the army. I think this is an overgeneralization. Mulan does struggle to become a soldier, as we can see in the training montage. Similar to the pole and the arrow at the top, she cannot reach the top of the mountain carrying the buckets with her arms outstretched like everyone else at first- then when she manages to do it, she knows she has proven herself. Plus, I like that they gave her more character. We don’t see any of Mulan’s childhood years in the original, so it is a little hard to understand why she is such an outcast. She only had one incident with the matchmaker and suddenly she is questioning her identity. But the 2020 version establishes that Mulan has been different from the start and everyone has known it since then. It makes it more believable that she brings dishonor on her family so easily. And just because she has strong chi doesn’t necessarily mean she is already a warrior. She is told to hide her chi as a child, and she does not tap into it easily- her commanding officers can sense something is holding her back. She is special, yes, but she isn’t “the chosen one.” She still works hard and she still relies a lot on her strategy instead of brute force just like in the animated version.
5. Lack of musical numbers. I do miss the musical numbers. But they did well with incorporating the musical themes from the original into the movie. The little “Honor to Us All” theme playing while she gets ready for the matchmaker? Perfect. The bit of “Reflection” playing when she reaches the top of mountain? Beautiful. And “Reflection” playing at the end when she is recognized as a hero? I was bawling. Also, this isn’t the first remake that Disney hasn’t made as a musical- the 2015 Cinderella did not include “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes,” (except in the credits like Mulan did), or “Bibbidi-Bobbido-Boo,” or “So This is Love.” I know that Cinderella is an older movie and may not be as beloved to this generation as Mulan, but those song are still incredibly iconic to the Disney brand and I didn't see anyone complaining about those songs being removed. Idk, I don’t think it’s a big enough deal to be upset over it, especially because they included instrumentals of the songs for the live-action version.
6. The addition of the witch. I can’t believe people are complaining about the personification of the hawk from the first movie- seriously, watch the remake and you’ll see how great Xian Liang’s character is. I love the parallels drawn between her and Mulan. Despite fighting for opposite sides, she sees herself in Mulan, and Mulan sees how she might end up if she had chosen the route of evil. I think they did it wonderfully and I’m definitely not gay for Gong Li...
7. The cost. This one, I understand. $30 is a lot to pay for a movie, but I get it because they’re losing money from not going to theaters for a few months. I paid the $30 because I felt like I had waited long enough to see it, I was foaming at the mouth the night of its release, and I had $30 I was willing to spend on it. Ofc Disney is a multi-million dollar company, so I don’t begrudge anyone pirating it bc screw capitalism.
I just had to get this off my chest because so many criticisms of this film seem so unjustified, weak, or deliberately negative. I swear, not just with Mulan, I see so many people who hate the live-action remakes- it’s like they’re trying to find things to hate about them, and I'm frankly getting sick of it. Like damn bitch why you gotta be so negative about everything?? The acting is great, the music is phenomenal and timeless, the costumes are so extravagant, the action sequences make you hold your breath in anticipation... y'all will find anything to whine about and I'm TIRED. And it seems like some of y'all are purposefully ignoring WHY they made these changes. These changes were made to adhere to the Legend of Mulan more closely, to make up for some of the racial insensitivity/cultural inaccuracies in the original, and to appeal to their Asian audience. the 1998 version is a VERY Americanized way to tell they story- so stop complaining, you got “your version” that appeals to you.
Some things I loved were
1. Mulan’s sister. It’s not often we see Disney princesses with siblings. Even though she didn’t have much screen time, I loved Xiu and the relationship she had with Mulan.
2. The phoenix symbolism. In Mulan (1998), there is heavy dragon symbolism as Mulan is preparing to run away to the army. This insinuates that Mulan is the dragon, the protector of the family, and that is why the Great Stone Dragon doesn’t awaken later. In this version, she is instead guarded and represented by a phoenix. In Chinese mythology (correct me if I'm wrong), the phoenix stands for yin and yang, harmony and is often the female counterpart to the dragon. The wings specifically represent duty, which is why the wings of the phoenix spread behind Mulan when she saves the emperor singlehandedly. Though I don’t know if they intended this, in Greek mythology the phoenix is a symbol of death and rebirth. Mulan is reborn again as Hua Jun, but ultimately in this version she is not discovered as a girl, she chooses to fight as one. The moment she does, “Hua Jun died, and Mulan was born again,” as she sees the phoenix once more. Mulan is the phoenix, and she brings harmony after defeating the Rourans. It’s beautiful.
3. The avalanche scene. A lot of the battle scene was different, but I loved that they kept in the avalanche from the original. Mulan’s planning in this one shows how big her brain is, and how well her strategy works.
4. Xian Liang and Honghui. As I already mentioned, I really loved how they portrayed these characters.
5. The fight scenes. God they really got the perfect actress to play Mulan. Liu Yifei leaning back to avoid an arrow from a Rouran? Impeccable. Mulan’s display of her techniques when she and Honghui get into it when they’re supposed to be practicing? So cool. 
All in all, I loved this movie just like I love all of the other Disney princess live-action remakes. Disney obviously spent a lot of money on the action sequences, the costumes, the backgrounds, the historical accuracies, the casting, the storyline, everything is amazing. I will definitely be watching again.

I think there’s a lot to be said about the comparison between how She-Ra subverts the chosen one narrative and how Buffy does it.
Like, on the surface, the stories are pretty much identical. Both Buffy and Adora find out that they’re the chosen one of their respective worlds when they’re teenagers (I mean, I think? I’m not sure how old Adora actually is). So they proceed to fight some bad guys and endure a neverending slew of trauma for however many seasons, and then eventually they discover that their chosen one powers (as they know them) only exist because a group of malicious assholes did something shitty. And this leads both of them to find an alternate method for utilizing their power while separating it from its exploitative origins. And while they’re at it, they also manage to free themselves from the ridiculous burden that comes with being the chosen one.
And yet, despite the rather specific parallels of these two stories, I actually think that they’re very different in terms of theme. Because I think each show has a completely different approach to why the chosen one narrative needs to be subverted.
Like, in She-Ra, the problem with this narrative is that being chosen is something that defines your value to the world. Adora’s story is all about discovering her own self-worth after a lifetime of being told she was nothing but a weapon. Long before she finds the sword, she’s already thouroughly convinced that she’s only worth something if she’s useful to others, and then the chosen one narrative comes in to convince her of that even further. So being chosen in this case is a metaphor for this damaging mindset Adora has, and this becomes even more evident when it turns out that Light Hope has been planning to use her body as a vessel for a weapon of mass destruction. And then Adora breaks the sword, and her arc in season 5 is pretty much all about her finding a way to summon She-Ra (i.e. her self-worth) in a way that isn’t self-destructive. And it turns out that the way to do that is for her to value her own needs. And it’s only when she goes after what she wants - which it turns out is a hot catgirl gf - that she finally manages to free herself from that mindset.
Whereas with Buffy, what’s wrong with the chosen one narrative isn’t really that it denies her personhood. I mean that certainly is a problem that does come up, especially whenever the Watcher’s Council shows up and refers to Buffy as “the instrument with which we fight” or something equally gross. But it’s not a huge issue for Buffy, because unlike Adora, she was never subjected to Shadow Weaver’s A+ parenting. Buffy, at least at first, very clearly demonstrates that she recognizes the value of her life and desires outside of being the Slayer. LIke, the first three seasons are basically just Buffy going, “man, it sure is fucked up that I have to give up everything I want for this dumbass destiny I didn’t ask for.” But as much as Buffy is aware that she’s been roped into a super fucked up system, that awareness isn’t what eventually prompts her to change things. What does prompt her to change things is her sense of isolation.
The problem with the chosen one narrative in Buffy is the isolating nature of being the chosen one. Both Buffy and She-Ra are shows about community and found-family, but while Adora’s discovery of She-Ra allows her to leave her abusive environment in favor of a healthy one, Buffy’s role as the slayer constantly isolates her from the people she loves. Because she has to carry her burden alone, Buffy feels as though her friends are incapable of understanding her, and that her experiences are so unique that no one could possibly understand her. Therefore, she is alone. She also believes that this burden she has means that she has to be strong all the time, that she can’t exhibit weakness to the people she loves, because she’s supposed to be the leader who has her shit together. So this leads her to repress her feelings, pretend she’s okay all the time, and self-destruct a whole lot. And, yeah, that’s pretty similar to Adora, but it comes from a different (though equally damaging mindset). So that’s why, when Buffy does change things, she turns her solitary role into a communal one. She re-distributes the means of production power (I will never not make this dumb joke) and in so doing she creates a community of people like her and frees herself from loneliness. Basically, the message is that we should choose community over isolation and share power instead of hoarding it.
Anyway, this turned out way too long, but I just think it’s interesting that these are two very similar stories that criticize the same concept but come at it from completely different but equally interesting angles.

Danganronpa 1 Girls: adopting an abused child - Headcanons
Request: If it's okay, the DR1 girls with an adopted child that was previously in an intensely abusive living situation? The kid is extremely traumatized by the experience, and is very quiet, fearful and suffers frequent breakdowns and nightmares.
Part 2: Oh! Adopted abused child for DR1 girls anon here... To specify, headcanons.
Of course! A unique request. I’m gonna write this assuming they’ve had the child in their home for a while, maybe a few years, and you can headcanons the girls’ partners versus if they are single moms on your own. This will just be how the DR1 girls treat their adopted, previously abused child. - Mod Kokichi
WARNINGS: past child abuse implied/referenced. Trauma/panic attacks and anxiety
Aoi Asahina:
The queen of three things: sweets, sports, and positive attitudes.
She would definitely use these three skills/interests of hers to help the previously abused child she adopted.
First of all, she’d chosen this child in particular because she saw their profile and asked about them. Her big heart wouldn’t allow her to abandon a child that’s clearly been through a lot of suffering, especially not after her own experience in the killing game.
Despite whether or not she had a partner, she’d want kids when she was able to responsibly care for them. Also, her experience as a big sister would prepare her for kids a little better than an only child.
Sweets: having a panic attack? Here’s some home-made cookies. Bad day at school? Let’s strap on an apron and bake together tonight. Stayed up late with insomnia or nightmares? Well good news, doughnuts for breakfast the next morning!
Sports: being athletic and active herself, Hina would encourage her child to enter team sports to get better at socializing and just learn important motor skills, but she wouldn’t force them into it, knowing crowds or loud noises may overstimulate them.
Maybe she’d have them start small. Table tennis or private swimming lessons. When and if they were ever ready, soccer or lacrosse on the school’s team.
That’s not to say she wouldn’t love and appreciate a more artistically or mathematically inclined child. Sports or not, she’d find a way to use their inherent skills to better them. She’s not one to give up on the people she cares about.
Positive attitudes: slip-ups and panic attacks are nothing to get discouraged about! She would stay up all night with a child going through anxiety, assure them that this too shall pass, and use positive reinforcement.
Sakura Ogami:
Another mom who would seek out sports as a way to ease her child’s suffering.
But unlike Asahina, she’d see sports as more of a way to teach perseverance and self-discipline rather than social skills.
She would want them to learn some type of martial art. It would teach balance, strength, inner-peace, and erase self-doubt.
Plus, learning martial arts would help teach self-defense. She would never want her child to go out until the word helpless and not knowing how to defend themselves should they absolutely have to.
She would enjoy reading to her child at night, and talking at length with them about what was bothering them. She would let them cry onto her strong shoulders, and offer stoic wisdom. She’s like, super good at giving advice.
Loves them unconditionally, is fiercely protective and loyal. A very supportive and loving mother.
Shells out the cash for any and all therapy they need, physical and psychological. She doesn’t see mental illness as a weakness.
Celestia Ludenberg:
This mom, instead of teaching a child to ignore trauma and bullies - be they internalized and metaphorical or external and corporeal - would teach her child how to face their obstacles head on.
Bullies at school? Well we’ll handle that. “They won’t be a problem anymore, trust me.”
PTSD and past trauma? Well we will sit here and talk about these weaknesses until they become our strengths. “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, and you’ll be undefeatable after all you’ve been through.”
This child will be spoiled, but not in a bratty way. They will simply wear the best clothes, eat the most expensive food, and attend the best schools.
Celestia would play endless card and board games with her child to keep their mind off of darker thoughts.
“Moooom, you cheated again!”
“Oh? Did I~?”
“Yes!” A disgruntled but reluctantly amused smile.
“Well~ I think it is simply that you don’t know how to play this game yet. But one day, you will.”
Kyoko Kirigiri:
At first, it may take her a while to open up and truly be the best mother she can be.
But she understands wanting more from a parent-child relationship, and after a while of doubting herself, would buckle down and do what she needs to do.
Wouldn’t be as pushy with talking about triggering subjects, or entirely comfortable giving advice either.
But is a terrific listener/observer. She walks in after work and sees her kid crying alone in their room. They’d remembered something scary, something they didn’t want to think about, they said.
“I see...well, do you want to talk about it?” And she’d sit there by their bedside until she was sure they didn’t need her any longer.
If single: definitely has a big house, a reputable maid, a nanny, a nice car in the driveway, but still insists on personally packing her kids lunch with a little encouraging sticky note inside.
If she has a partner: can be convinced to be more involved and slowly but surely becomes more hands-on and soccer-momish, minivan and all. Sees her partner’s own parenting skills as a challenge to step it up. Kyoko has all the makings of a great mother, she just won’t let herself see it. A partner would be just the push she needs: a Watson to her Holmes.
Toko Fukawa (I watched the anime and played the three main games so if her personality changes drastically in ultra despair girls and I’m way off I apologize):
Toko knows childhood regret, trauma, nightmares. She understands feeling isolated and different. She would be a very clingy and coddling mother.
If you ever touched a hair on her child’s head, you better just execute yourself before she does.
Sure she’s not the most confident or kind person on her own, but we’ve seen how devoted to and possessive she is of people she cares about.
She’d read to her child nightly, but only what she deemed to be the best children’s literature, of course.
Would love her child more than she loved her own partner. She would feel needed, like someone depended on her for once instead of her tagging along behind someone else.
I think as she boosts her child’s confidence and social skills, her own would grow along with them.
I know she’s getting better every day at controlling her inner demons, and her other half, Syo (I watched like two hours of UDG gameplay so I know this much) but I think she’d be extra careful and determined to have full control once becoming a mother.
Sayaka Maizono:
I think she would see music as an outlet for a hurting child.
Another girl who would have hella money, so she wouldn’t hesitate to get her kid lessons from the best instructors, be they voice or instrumental lessons.
And when her child mentions feeling uncomfortable about leaving the house for unnecessary reasons, especially for going to a public, noisey studio, she would pay extra to have the instructor come to them.
To her, music heals the soul.
When they have nightmares, she’s the most likely of the girls to sing lullabies, being the most talented and confident in her singing voice.
She would definitely want to be a mother one day, but with her time-consuming job, might find adoption easier and less compromising to an idol’s “flawless” body (her manager’s opinion more than her own ugh).
She’d use her intuitive “psychic” abilities to sense when her child was having a particularly rough day, or having more depressing thoughts. I think she’d be one of the ones more suited to deep conversations and true motherly advice.
Junko Enoshima:
I honestly don’t think she’d adopt a child for any wholesome or selfless reason.
She’d adopt a child with PTSD or past trauma in order to feed off of their despair or to teach that already hurting child to hurt others.
She’d be drawn to the more chaotic and/or mentally unwell children, but it would be a mistake to let her near them.
Junko is selfish in every way and would only adopt a child to carry on her evil lineage.
It may not even go that far. She may get bored of them or decide they aren’t worthy of becoming her protege and just dispose of them like an old play thing.
(Sorry Junko stans but I’m not about to pretend she’s just a bratty, preppy rich blonde mean girl type. She’s a selfish and abusive psychopath lmao)
Mukuro Ikusaba:
Another one who probably shouldn’t be a mother.
I do feel bad for her though. Much like Korekiyo, I think their siblings both abused and manipulated them from a young age. They never learned any differently. Still she’s responsible for her bad choices in the series.
Without Junko’s influence, I believe she would be fiercely protective of a child, much like an obsessive mother bear once she retired from mercenary work for good.
But unfortunately, she’s given her life to her abusive sister.
If she had a child, they would either be neglected because she spends all of her time serving Junko or away on dangerous mercenary missions.
Or they would be trained to be an abused slave to their aunt Junko just like Mukuro is.
Junko may manipulate Mukuro into adopting a child, saying things like: “you’re more of the mommy type than me!” Or, “yeah I totally think a despair filled child would be good for you! You could teach it to like kick ass and shit!”
This of course, was all a way to get Mukuro to do all the work of actually raising the child, while Junko warped both of their minds to her cause.

I have literally no source for this interview, but it’s one of my favorites because Billie seems to be really honest about his songwriting here - this is when Nimrod came out
The day I met Billie Joe Armstrong he flashed me his new tattoo, a Chuck-Jones-perfect cartoon character on his right bicep. Above it was some skull or Celtic armband or something, but below was the name "Joseph," exquisitely lettered, for his firstborn child. It's that image of him that I always keep in my head, and what I think of when I hear his band, Green Day: loopy humor and face-punch riffs and sincere sentiment I tight formation, worn as close to the skin as possible, covered in sweat. From the band's first records on the local Berkeley label Lookout, 39/Smooth and Kerplunk!, through the multi-million selling Warner Brothers releases Dookie, Insomniac, and now Nimrod, Armstrong has written dozens of perfect little punk-rock ditties that are probably the most sincere and playful acts of musical aggression since that first punk wave twenty years ago. 
But the songs are more than throwbacks. Armstrong writes from a very personal perspective, the perspective of someone born in the Me Decade, raised in the Me-vs.-You Decade, and trying to cope in the Yet-to-be-Stereotyped Decade. His songs are about the current crises of being alive right now, in a society that's used up and marketed all of its counter-cultures, and has little use for its youth except as consumers. The songs are also about how one reconciles anger and rebellion with love and desire to not be so down all the time. It's less political and more personal than its punk rock predecessors, an angry/crying/shouting/fucking definition of self.
 It made me wonder how you can take bile directed at you and turn it into a song that gets sold at the local Sam Goody. I figured I'd ask, so I called him up at his home in Berkeley. 
Q: Where do you start when writing a song? 
A: Most of the time I'll come up with a melody, and I'll do lyrics, but I'll tackle them at different times and not connect the two, you know? So I'll come up with the riffs, and the melody of the song, like a short ditty. I'll put some lyrics to it and bring it to band practice and then we'll just start to pound it out. And then, as things need to be restructured, sometimes Mike [Dirnt, bassist] will have an idea for something, or Tré [Cool, drummer] will have an idea for something, or sometimes we'll just leave it alone and it's sort of already done. 
Q: Have there been any particular songs that have stayed the same from the original inspiration to recording, or have they all gone through changes in the process? 
A: There's a lot of them that stay the same. "Redundant" really never changed, except we made it a little longer by adding another chorus at the end. And there's this song called "All The Time" that's pretty much exactly the way I had it.
 Q: So how much does a song change then, in producing the record? On Nimrod there are a lot of different arrangements: strings on "Good Riddance," horns on "King For A Day." Did you have the ragtime horns in mind when you were writing? 
A: No, not at all. I actually demo'd that song and played all the instruments myself and showed it to the band and they're like, "oh, that's pretty cool." We fucked around with it and practiced it a couple of times, but we never expected it to go onto the record. Then when we got to the studio, we said whatever, we'll just put it on there. It ended up being pretty good, but the song was just screaming for horns. We got Gabe [McNair] and Steve [Bradley] and it was so funny. They said, "what do you want us to play?" And I said, 'I'm sure you'll think of something.' And they looked at me like, "aw man!" So they basically wrote all the horn parts to that song. 
Q: What's more important, lyrics or the music? 
A: I think lyrics are really important, because there are songs that, musically, I don't think are the greatest in the world but lyrically are amazing. I mean, Johnny Rotten never had the greatest voice in the world but he wrote really good lyrics for the first Sex Pistols record, and that goes for a lot of people. But the thing is, a lot of people tend to -- especially in pop songs -- they tend to take the music and put something sappy to it, and it's just a one-dimensional emotion that the rest of the songs has to carry. I was actually thinking about that yesterday. I went to a friend's house, and they were joking around, putting on the Spice Girls records. And it was blatantly catchy, super catchy, but at the same time it really didn't say anything. You could only hold it at face value, there was no depth behind it, you really couldn't tell anything about the people singing it. But I guess there's a need for that. People want to hear songs that don't say anything, they want to go out to a dance club and shake their booty.
 Q: That's a good question, then: what makes a good song? Depth, a point of view...? 
A: I guess so. I don't know. I know what I like, personally. Like, yesterday I did my top ten favorite songs or something like that. 
Q: What's on there? 
A: Let's see. "Surrender" by Cheap Trick. "In My Life" by the Beatles. A song called "They'll Never Call It Quits" by a band called One Man Army. Generation X, "Kiss Me Deadly." "Outsider" by the Ramones. Hüsker Dü, "Makes No Sense At All." 
Q: How do you deal with writer's block?
 A: I write something else, just for fun. I'm just habitual about it. If I can't come up with the song...the great song that you want to write that will leave your mark forever or something cheesy like that, I'll write a polka number if I can't come up with something. 
Q: Do you put that kind of pressure on yourself? Do you say "this one's gonna be a statement?" 
A: Sometimes I do. Sometimes I'll think way. I just have a really strong work ethic. I have that sort of way about all my songs that, lyrically, every single one of them has to have some subliminal thing going for it. But most people don't really get what you're talking about until 10 years after the fact anyway. That seems to be how people respect songwriters through time. 
Q: Do you have a time of day or a place where you write? You say you have a work ethic, how does that manifest itself? 
A: Anytime, every time. The other night I was dead tired. All I wanted to do was fall asleep, and me and [my wife] Adrienne get in bed, and we're laying there. I was just dozing off a little bit, and all of the sudden this music was popping in my head, going over and over. And I was like, aw man, I have to go downstairs to put this on my guitar and just write it down. But I don't want to. I was so tired. So finally I got up and I go, 'goddammit! I have to get this done.' Otherwise I would forget it.
 Q: When you're writing, do you write with an album in mind or song by song? 
A: Song by song. I can't really conceptualize that far in advance. We knew we wanted to change and bring in new elements on the new record. But we really didn't know how to do it. So I wrote, constantly, all kinds of songs. Fifty or something. And you try to find some sort of natural progression within those songs, and try to capture that on the record. 
Q: So are the songs you write linked by your state of mind, or thematically? 
A: Sometimes if I'll get into a depression, writer's block, where I can't write, I get really bummed out and then I'm not working at all, I'm not doing anything. And then I'll deliberately get myself down to the lowest of the low that I could possibly get down to. And then a song will pop up. And I'll be happy, I'll get ecstatic for like the next month and then all of the sudden another one will pop up. 
Q: So you revel in the dark zone and it's useful. 
A: Yeah...sort of...I kind of...well...definitely. 
Q: But you don't necessarily choose to be there... 
A: Sometimes I'll cause problems just so I can get in touch with that emotional side or whatever, you know. Just to see if something will spark up, start a fight or something (laughs). 
Q: Can you name a song that has come out of something like that? 
A: Umm...a song called "Worry Rock." 
Q: Seems like a really personal song. 
A: Yeah. I think I got drunk and put my fist through a window. Adrienne called me an asshole or something like that and, I don't know. We just got into some meaningless fight like most couples get into, those fights that don't make any sense. A fight for the sake of fighting, which can be destructive to your relationship. That's how that song came about. 
Q: Are you okay with that kind of exposure that comes from investing your personal life and emotions in a song like that? Is your family okay with that? 
A: Yeah, I think so. I guess the only problem would be if, say, Adrienne doesn't have an outlet for herself. That's the kind of thing that I worry about. The things that she could say about me could be pretty horrifying. 
Q: In what way are you a different songwriter now than you were on 39/Smooth and Kerplunk? 
A: It goes in a way of, you know, what kind of person were you at sixteen, and what kind of person are you at twenty? It's almost like two different people in some aspects. I think that most of my stuff is based on infatuations with women. Some are just straight obsession. I mean, nowadays you could call me a stalker (laughs). The quest for that ultimate happiness with another person, which I think started to change, and it changed pretty dramatically with Kerplunk, because I started to talk about other things, like loss of innocence, going out on your own, moving out at the age of seventeen, being a high school dropout, living in west Oakland in a warehouse with fifteen people. Where the first record was more...mushy...the next one you could tell I was going through some pretty dramatic changes. 
Q: So Dookie comes out, and where are you there? 
A: I think I turned more bitter. I started to realize where my true friendships were, the politics of Berkeley were setting in, drug abuse was starting to fuck with me a little bit. I was trying to figure out what was wrong with me, but I couldn't really do it and that had a lot to do with drugs. I started to get a lot more bitter. Life wasn't how it was supposed to be when you're on your own. There's a couple of different songs on there...I mean, the psychoses that went into that record! Songs like "Basket Case" and "Coming Clean" were blatantly neurotic songs. 
Q: That's messed up: amazing success, and it's your bitterness you're being celebrated for. 
A: I don't know. It's funny because I feel that once you write a song, and then record it, and then release it, it doesn't necessarily belong to you anymore. I mean, you can hold that piece of work closer to you than anybody else can, and that was one of the big problems for a while. I felt so misunderstood all the time. Which goes with the territory, anyway, of writing songs. Because nobody really understands what the hell you're talking about. Other people have interpretations of whatever, figure out their own plot, make it fit to the soundtrack of their own lives. It messed with me a little bit, 'cause people didn't know where I came from, people didn't know where I came from, people didn't really know what I stood for. People calling us a throwback to 1977, I guess I got affected by that. Because punk rock is a lifestyle for me, and has nothing to do with 1977 or any particular band, but the relationship that you had with and the amount of work that you put into your local scene. And it gets completely misinterpreted as trying to make a buck. 
Q: It wasn't a fashion statement, it was a lifestyle. 
A: Yeah, a lot of people took it as a fashion statement, even to the point where I think a lot of people thought we were the '90s equivalent of Sha Na Na or something. Some of that's kind of funny, whatever. But now I sort of don't care. No one's gonna understand it anyway. The whole success or fame thing was so new to me at the time, it came so abruptly, and I was like, wow, this is too much. I didn't know all this baggage was connected to all this shit. I thought I'd just have the opportunity to play my songs for people. 
Q: Is that why the new album is as different as it is, because you're just doing what you want to do, you don't have to be what people thought you were, or even what you thought you were? 
A: I think so. That might have something to do with it. I think when you stop caring and worrying about what people think, even stop caring what you think of yourself to a certain extent, and just sort of do it, it's a release to push your past behind you. I think that's when the best stuff comes out. And, of course, when you're forging ahead really hard. I think this time our songs are much more than just things that you can listen to, but actually visualize at the same time. It's like this guy told me the other day, this friend of mine, he goes, you know I was listening to that song "Platypus," and I can totally imagine this big western stampede of horses and cows. And that, for me, is exactly what I was thinking. Not that I was thinking of a stampede, you know, but that kind of quality. 
Q: So you communicated an image and a feeling. 
A: Exactly. 
Q: Of any of your songs, do you have a favorite? 
A: Lately, I like "Walking Alone" and "Uptight" I've been into. My mind changes all the time.
 Q: Let's talk about one of those. What are the circumstances around a song like "Walking Alone?" 
A: I play in this side project band called Pinhead Gunpowder. This guy Aaron Elliot writes all the lyrics and a lot of the music. And he wrote this song called "I Walk Alone," which is about walking at night, the streets, being a street punk. And so I wrote...I don't know what you'd call it -- an alter ego song? -- called "Walking Alone." 
Q: An answer song? 
A: Yeah, cause we always work in that sort of way. I wrote a song called "She," so he wrote an article in his fanzine called "She." It's kind of funny, it's really good to bounce things off of each other. So "Walking Alone" and "I Walk Alone" were sort of the same thing. I think Tom Petty could play that song. It's got that harmonica and the big smashing snare sound on it. But it was the first time I ever played harmonica. I can't play harmonica at all. I had to teach myself how to play that. 
Q: Hey, you did great. 
A: Oh, thanks. We actually tried to get a studio musician to play it, but I think he was a little too hobo for us. 
Q: Smelled bad? 
A: Actually, he had almost too much soul for it. He was too good at what he did. And I wanted it to come across more loosely. Not as good, I guess. So I played it. 
Q: It's not a confident song, or a song about confidence. "Sometimes I need to apologize/sometimes I need to admit that I ain't right." 
A: It's sort of like sticking your foot in your mouth sometimes, and thinking out loud, but the lyric changes. It turns into talking about friends and how they change and your friends either become lawyers or the local town drunks. 
Q: Any advice for people writing who want to be hit songwriters? 
A: Oh God, I don't know. Don't take advice from anybody.
