oh god i think i have an idea for kate x yelena x reader??
maybe something before the 3 kids?
(i was on twitter the other day and i read about people saying the importance of feeling represeted in fics, and i thought about this lately, so uhm from my pov, i would like to uhm propose like a reader with maybe selfharm addiction??? maybe reader doesn't say that she relapsed because kate and yelena have other thoughts like missions and mission reports and hard training and she do not want to be a burden??? but like she doesn't realize that she matters more than all those things to Kate and Yelena and almost towards the end reader can no longer hold the weight inside and one evening she confesses it to them??? gosh this is a lot i know lol
(I HAVE TOTALLY NO IDEA IF YOU WRITE ABOUT THIS TOPICS if not im sorry for the request but this is something that is stuck with me but im getting better, so yeah sorry)
Take My Hand
Tumblr media
This is a prequel to Domestic Life but can be read as a standalone.
Warning: mention of past and current self-harm, online bulling, self deprecating thoughts, poor self image, implied sexual content (Kate and Yelena are down bad for their girlfriend), pet names (princess; baby, babygirl)
Breathe. Breathe. Take five breaths in and five out. Your hands shook every time you passed your brush through your hair. The only sound your brain was registering was the music Kate demanded to play so you all could get ready. There was a party at the Avenger Tower; some active Avengers were invited, along with politicians and other top-dog individuals in the city. You weren’t worried about that. You spent so many years in customer service that you could talk to anyone smoothly. It was the media that worried you.
The world knew that Kate and Yelena were dating; they were among the most talked about couples behind Natasha and Maria. You’ve spent hours scrolling through blogs created for them where random people reposted pictures and kept updated on every aspect of their lives. It was a little weird. It was always Yelena and Kate, Hawkeye and the White Widow for a few years. Recently, they’ve hinted at a third in their relationship that many blogs caught on to. That third was you, and for the past five months, the two superheroes kept you out of the public eye. They wanted to keep you to themselves. Everything changed now that Kate wanted to take you on dates.
You were anxious. Compared to the likes of the Avengers, you were a no-one. Just a small-town girl who got lucky their car broke down in your town.
Suddenly, Kate’s arms wrapped around your waist and pulled you flush to her chest. “Where did your mind run off to, Princess?” Her chest rumbled after each word, and her lips tickled you underneath your ear.
“Just,” you giggled. “It’s nothing. Don’t worry about it.” You tried to escape, but Kate held you tighter and rubbed soothing circles onto your skin.
“Princess,” she warned. “You know the rules.” In your opinion, it was a stupid rule, but you knew it was to foster better communication between you three.
“Just nervous,” you answered honestly. Kate nodded your head and hummed in agreement.
“So am I,” she admitted. You looked at her in shock. “I am,” she smiled. “Everyone is going to see how much hotter and cooler my girlfriend is than me, and they are going to convince her to leave me,” she looked directly at you, so you knew who she was talking about. With a roll of your eyes, you faced back towards the mirror.
“You are such a dork, Bishop,” you mumbled.
“I’m telling the truth,” she turned around slightly but still had her arms on you. “Yelena,” she called out. “Tell our girl she’s the prettier one out of the three of us.” How Kate called you ‘our girl’ made you feel warm and fuzzy. Through the mirror, you saw the blonde appeared in the doorway. She decided on a green cocktail dress that matched the color of her eyes. She smiled at you.
“I am ready to keep the vultures off of her,” she said. “Because she is ours.” It was ridiculous. The so-called vultures would be after your girlfriends, and you would have to fight them away. Still, you believed them. It was the way they looked at you, the way they touched you. You never felt more loved.
*
The party was going well. You mingled with team members you saw less frequently and listened to some of the politicians on their upcoming policies. You preferred talking to the Avengers over them. At first, one of your girlfriends stayed with you, but you ensured they enjoyed themselves.
So you were standing with Maria, nursing a drink that Yelena made for you. The blonde had a heavy pour when it came to her bartending skills. Maria told you a story about Yelena and Natasha; somehow, the blonde’s white suit accidentally turned pink when it was Natasha’s turn to do laundry. The sudden smirk on the agent’s face gave your girlfriend away. Kate moved behind you, and you could smell the alcohol on her breath. “Ignore me,” she whispered. “Pretend I’m not here and keep having your conversation.” That was easier said than done, but Maria kept talking, and you tried to focus on it.
Sober Kate was touchy and flirty but knew when to dial it back in public. Drunk Kate was a completely different beast. Her one goal was to make you a flustered mess. She was doing it now. “You look so good,” she mumbled, and goosebumps formed on your skin. “Fuck, I wanna rip this top off and fuck you right here,” you took a sip of your drink to hide the whimper that threatened to escape. “I want everyone here to know you are ours. Too many of these pigs have their eyes all over you.” She was how when she got jealous and possessive.
“Detka,” you weren’t sure when Maria was replaced with Yelena. Her hand was on your chin, and her fingers were cold. A shiver went down your spine. “Are you okay?” You nodded.
“Kate is drunk and horny,” you smiled and ignored the gasp the archer let out. Yelena let out an amused chuckle and leaned closer to your lips.
“I can say I am not surprised with how good you both look,” you watched her green eyes darken before she kissed your lips. Kate let out a breathy groan.
“Would it be inappropriate to leave now?” The archer asked. “I need you both.” You giggled against Yelena’s lips.
“I think we’ve shown our face long enough,” it was all the consent Kate needed before dragging you to the elevator. You pretended to ignore every Avenger’s knowing looks.
Delete Created with Sketch.
A week had passed since the party, and you made it your mission to stay off social media. You focused on your job, studies, and relationship with Yelena and Kate. Everything felt great. When you entered the break room, a few coworkers suddenly stopped talking. “What?” You asked as you opened the fridge to put your lunch in. “Do I have a hickey on my neck again?” Kate left one on your neck when she refused to let you go to work. Your coworkers had a field day for the next few days after.
“No hickey this time,” Tina said with her phone in her hand. “We saw this online and thought you had the right to know.” You took her phone, and you stared at a blog. It was a picture from the party which you’ve seen before. Natasha sent it to you, and you made it your lock screen. Yelena stood in front of you with Kate hanging onto your back. The blonde’s finger was on your chin, and her lips barely touched yours.
“It’s a cute picture of the three of you,” Tina said. Your coworkers knew of your relationship with the two Avengers. It was hard to keep it a secret from them when Kate and Yelena liked to surprise you at work. “It’s the comments we were reading.”
Curiosity killed the cat, right? That was the only part of the phrase people remembered. A part of you knew better to read them. The opinions of random people online did not matter, but you were curious about what your coworkers read. So you scrolled down.
It was nice to see some positive comments. They liked how happy Kate and Yelena seemed. They said you fit in well with them. But it was the negative comments that outweighed the good. To the comments, you were a whore, a homewrecker, a slut, and they could not understand what Kate and Yelena saw in you. They picked at every flaw they saw in the picture.
You handed the phone back to Tina. “You know what they say,” Tina smiled. “Those who pick on others are just jealous and self-conscious of themselves.”
“Right,” you said. “Now, enough gossip,” you teased. “Let’s get to work.”
*
When you entered your shared apartment, it was quiet. Not even the dogs were home to greet you. On any other day, you would be sad that you were alone, but you needed the tie to get your head on straight before everyone returned home.
You went into the bathroom, stripped out of your work uniform, and stepped into the shower. The water ran hot, and you watched your skin turn red from the temperature. When your body was clean, you stepped out of the shower with a towel wrapped around you. You wiped the condensation off the mirror and stared at your reflection.
Maybe the comments were correct. You could stand to lose weight, eat a little better, or change how you dress. The constant battle of your self-image was something you struggled with your entire life. You weren’t the most popular, prettiest, or smartest in high school. Your family lived paycheck to paycheck, so that you couldn’t afford the name-brand clothes. Every day, you compared yourself to those around you, and those on top of the social hierarchy smelt out of your weakness.
They added to your deteriorating self-image. You felt out of control as you slipped deeper and deeper into the abyss. You needed to get control back. One night, when your mother was at work, you took a razor to the thighs and watched the blood form at the surface. It scared you at first, seeing you bleed by your hand. You promised it would never happen again. But it was a habit you could not easily break when it was the only thing to release the pressure on your chest.
The pressure was back. You entered your shared bedroom and pulled out a small gift box from your Black Widow girlfriend. Inside was a knife with her and Kate’s initials carved into the hilt. Before your rational mind took over, you dragged the blade across the top of your thigh. With each cut you made, the pressure was less, and your mind was less dark.
*
You glanced up from the couch when the apartment door opened. The pup’s feet running against the wood made you smile. It was your only warning before a one-eyed golden retriever jumped on top of you. The air was pushed out of your lungs as he covered your face with kisses. “Lucky, stop!” You laughed and tried to push him off. “Get off!”
“Alright, don’t suffocate her,” Kate pulled the dog off of you and wiped the drool off your face with a towel. “Missed you today,” the archer mumbled and bent down to kiss you. You would welcome her lips on your any other day, but today, they felt wrong. The kiss turned your stomach.
“Missed you too,” you said. Kate moved your legs, sat down, and placed them on her lap. The sudden movement caused the fabric of your sweatpants to rub against the bandages. You winced, but both of your girlfriends missed it except Fanny. The American Akita was watching you closely. “I ordered food from that Thai place. I didn’t feel like cooking,” you went back to doom scrolling on your phone and missed the look between Kate and Yelena.
“Is everything okay, dorogoy?” You heard Yelena ask from the kitchen. You hummed in response, barely paying attention to what Yelena asked.
“Hey,” you were surprised by your phone being ripped out of your hands by the blonde. The Russian ignored the pout on your lips and put your phone on the table out of reach. “That was mean.”
“No, what is mean is that there is something wrong, and you are not telling us,” Yelena knelt by your head. “We have this rule for a reason, detka,” you looked at the archer, hoping your other girlfriend would save you. She stayed quiet but squeezed your thighs for support. You huffed, threw your head back, and felt tears burn at the corner of your eyes.
“It’s stupid,” you said. “Work just sucked, and both of you deal with much bigger problems than mine and-” Yelena quieted you with a gentle hand on your cheek as she pushed away your tears.
“Never think your problems at work are less than ours because we do different things,” the blonde said. “They are still important.”
“Besides,” you turned your attention to Kate, a playful smile on her face. “I could never be as polite and nice to some of the assholes you deal with,” she was able to make you smile. “Baby girl, you are a saint in your work.” You rolled your eyes and wiped away some of your tears.
“Do you want me to get you some food, and we can cuddle on the couch?” Yelena snapped her fingers. “We can watch the show with the talking dog and his high human?” You titled your head and narrowed your eyes at the blonde.
“Do you mean Scooby-Doo?” You questioned.
“Yes!” Yelena smiled. “Come, Kate Bishop, help me with food,” the Black Widow dragged the archer to the kitchen. You chuckled and reached for your phone.
Yes, work sucked, so you told the truth. Your mood turned as soon as you read those comments. The half-truth tasted bitter in your mouth. But this was your problem to fix. Yelena and Kate were Avengers, and you were a nobody.
*
“Princess, where are you going?” Kate asked from her spot on the couch. You were putting on your sneakers and placing a leash on Lucky.
“Taking Lucky for a walk. I’ll be right back.”
“It’s Sunday,” she said very slowly. “It’s not your day,” you shrugged.
“Just want to stretch my legs,” you said. “I’ll be back.” You felt the apartment before Kate could say another word. You used the stairs to warm up, stretching as you went down. You broke into a slow jog when you hit the sidewalk.
It was a new addition to your routine. Sometimes, you wake up early or stop by the gym after work. Some nights, you skipped on your sweet treat. If your girlfriends noticed the change and were worried about it, they kept it to themselves.
You were making progress, but you still cringed when you saw yourself naked compared to your girlfriends. Every flaw you saw was heightened, and you felt disgusted by yourself. Each time those thoughts entered your mind, the only way they left was when the blade came out and moved against your flesh.
The guilt was suffocating, and you wanted to climb into your girlfriend’s arms to forget all of your problems. But the dark voices in your head overpowered every rational thought.
*
“That was good,” Wanda said. “Why don’t we call it there?” You felt gross with the sweat dripping down your back, and your muscles ached. Training with Wanda was making faster progress than on your own. There was a deadline. With another gala happening in 2 weeks, you wanted to look better. You needed to look better for your mental health. You shook your head.
“I can keep going,” you said, stretched out of your sides, and took a deep breath. You needed to keep going.
“Breaks are good,” Wanda said. “They help your body recover and prevent injuries.” Logically, you knew she was right. Your body wasn’t used to this training, and you needed to work up your strength and endurance. But your mind was too dark to think logically. She saw you as weak and lesser, just like everyone else in those comments. This was a mistake. You weren’t an Avenger; you were just a nobody who got lucky. Wanda must have thought you were pathetic.
“Yeah,” you forced a smile. “Sounds good. Same time tomorrow,” you left the training area and headed for Yelena and Kate’s room before she could say anything else.
*
“Kate Bishop, give me the cup,” Yelena reached for the smoothie cup, but the archer held it above her head out of reach.
“No!” The archer laughed at the pout on the blonde’s face. “She asked me to make her workout smoothie, and you will put healthy stuff in it. She deserves a sweet treat!” The sound of Wanda’s laughter forced the archer to look away.
“Are you going to help me, Maximoff, or just stand there?” Yelena asked. The witch shook her head.
“I am not getting involved with this. But,” she sat in the empty seat. “I think you both need to check on your other half.” The duo turned serious when she mentioned that you and Kate had placed the cup on the counter.
“Was she hurt?” Kate asked, and her anxiety only lessened slightly when Wanda shook her head.
“Not exactly, but I would go check on her,” Wanda sighed. “I didn’t do it on purpose, but my powers wandered into her mind during the workout. They weren’t very nice thoughts about her image.” Yelena sighed.
“I knew we should have confronted her about this,” the blonde said. “She has been off since we had that Thai food,” Wanda left the couple and told them that if they needed anything, they should come get her. Kate put her hands on her hips.
“It must be bad if she hid it from us. We have that rule.”
“We must be smart about this and get our girl back.”
*
It was only a matter of time before they came to find you. You were sloppy around Wanda and let your thoughts get too loud. You had time to take a shower, change into comfy clothes, and sit on the edge of the bed. Picking at the skin of your thighs helped as it was unwise to take the blade you hid in your side of the dresser. The action was mindless and soothing. You missed the door opening, and Kate grabbed your hands. “Hi, Princess,” the archer whispered. “Are you here with us?” You felt Yelena sit down next to you.
“Yeah, I’m here,” you whispered, and your head fell onto Yelena’s shoulder. “I’m tired.” The blonde hummed in agreement.
“You have been hiding something from us, data,” the blonde softly spoke. “You might feel better if you told us the truth,” you closed your eyes as you felt tears form in them.
“It’s so stupid,” you said. “I’m so stupid.”
“Hey,” you opened your eyes to look at Kate. “Don’t talk about my girlfriend like that. I think she is brilliant and beautiful.” You smiled at the goofy look on her face. Sighing, you knew it was the right thing to do. Everything felt so heavy.
“A week after the Stark party, a picture of the three of us circled one of those Avenger blogs that report on you,” you took a deep breath in and out. “My coworkers found it and showed me. Some of the comments were awful towards me. They highlighted everything I hated about myself.”
“Why did you not tell us about this?” Yelena asked. She tried to mask the hurt in her voice, but you heard it. You never wanted to hurt them by hiding this.
“I worried if I told you, you would see that they saw and leave me,” you admitted. “I wanted to fix what was broken before you saw it. I am a nobody compared to you.” You angrily wiped your face.
“Princess, take my hand,” you gave one hand to Kate and the other to Yelena. “Nothing about you is broken. Those assholes are jealous and spiteful,” you knew that. You knew that from the beginning.
“But,” Yelena pushed loose hair out of your face and kissed your forehead. “Our mind is our biggest enemy, right?” You nodded. “You are our missing piece. We are whole because of you.”
“But I’m not an Avenger or a hero or—” Kate hushed you gently, moving her thumb across her lips.
“We don’t want you to be a hero,” The archer said firmly. “We want and need you to be you because you are a constant reminder of life outside of fighting and Avenging.”
“You are the reason we come home after every mission,” Yelena added, kissing the tears that fell down your cheek.
“We need you, baby,” Kate smiled. “And we will remind you every day.” She kissed the scars on your thighs, and the simple action caused more tears to leave your eyes. “Where is the blade, baby?” You weakly pointed to the dresser. Yelena quickly stood up and went to find it. Kate maneuvered you to lie down on the bed with her arms tightly around you. There was more to discuss, more things you needed to work through. Right now, you felt safe in your girls’ arms.
*
The night of the Gala, you felt your normal nerves with all the eyes and cameras on you. But Yelena and Kate quieted every doubt that entered your mind. As much as they said they needed you, you needed them.

Even more thoughts, for you to post if you so choose!
I do love the idea of Shen Yuan having a fancy hair piece with a pin that doubles as a weapon! Just because demon crows don’t have access to spiritual swords doesn’t mean he can’t stab the hell out of you.
For his main weapon, I’m thinking crow demons that can take human form tend to use bows, with the feathers shed by their clan as fletching. (Perhaps demon feathers also grant abilities of some sort to the arrows?)
Looking at the iridescence of crow feathers reminds me of the Chinese tradition of making jewelry with kingfisher feathers. Now I think it would be lovely if the crow demons also had a tradition of fashioning similar jewelry with their own feathers, perhaps treated with solutions and lacquered in a way that brings out even more of their color.
Speaking of colors, while crows aren’t among those birds able to see significant ultraviolet, they are tetrachromats, and thus are able to distinguish colors to a far greater extent than humans. I’m sure his sudden ability to see way more colors than he could in his last life is very perplexing to poor Shen Yuan!
The regular crows acting as an alarm system by cursing and saying spooky nonsense at all unknown visitors is an absolute delight!
I vote that Shen Yuan intentionally never gives them whatever signal that would mark Airplane as a friend, just so they continue to harass the guy every time he comes to visit. 😂
(I’m thinking poor Airplane is trying to set up trade routes for demons, and struggling with the general hostility different types of demons have for one another. Killing interlopers and/or raiding other demons for their stuff is not conductive to trade! It’s no wonder demons lack the arts. Nobody shares anything with anyone, except when giving demon nobles tribute. 😭)
You know, with all the feathers and bird-folks about, the transmigrators probably figure out quill pens. Not sure how big of an improvement they’d be compared to brushes, but they’re at least more like what the transmigrators are used to.
It’d also be funny if all the demon crows and villagers were learning to write simplified Chinese from Shen Yuan, instead of traditional, leading visitors to wonder what the hell is up with this one location’s weird writing system, where half the characters are inexplicably different.
(He probably teaches them traditional too, if only for the sake of reading imported books and things, but simplified is probably faster for personal notes and bookkeeping or the like).
I've always loved when people have weapons in discreet places, so it seemed necessary to dump that onto Shen Yuan because he's the most iconic character ever. Especially CrowYuan as well, it seems like something he'd do just to be safe when it comes to these things - after everything he's read, it's hard not to always be prepared. (Also, a more cheeky reason if I may, imagine Shen Yuan in a sticky situation and he pulls the hair pin out of his hair, now holding a weapon and looking AWESOME as he does it) Also, main weapon as a bow IS MAKING ME LOOOSE MY MIND. Ever since I was little, I've been obsessed with people who use bows (Legolas, Robin Hood, Hawkeye, Kate Bishop, various book characters) and the idea of giving Shen Yuan a bow?? I am dropping to my knees and shaking my fists at the sky. HUZZAAAHH!!! Feathers as fletching is a great idea, almost like a calling card of sorts, as well as a warning. Demon feathers giving certain abilities to arrows is a brilliant idea, such as resilience, poison, increased speeds (useful for high pressure situations where someone has to die before they can be alerted). I'd find it interesting if different demon feathers grant different abilities, and it's almost a norm for these demons to trade feathers! The jewellery idea is absolutely gorgeous and adorable! I was thinking that it could mainly be a crow demon thing, and to have one made for you if you aren't a crow demon is a sign of great trust within the community, a decision that has to be agreed to by at least half of the community! Also, itty bitty angst idea, this jewellery could also be highly sought out because it's gorgeous and its making is entirely a clan secret that is only taught to those within it - so, it's often seen as a spoil of war, a way to brag about a crow demon's death is to wear the jewellery "won" from "battle". Shen Yuan would most definitely be thrown off guard by this wider arrange of colours, often found in the wildest areas of the forest and just staring at everything. At first, he wonders if it's because he's a demon now, but more research (aka, bullying a demon chicken Airplane for answers) shows that it is fact not because he's a demon, but instead because he's a crow. He is both excited that he can see all these colours and fiercely delighted that Airplane can't, because he's a spiteful little shit and I love him. If Airplane comes to visit, he's grown adept to immediately submitting to the harassment of the crows because they soon grow bored of him if they don't get any reaction other than pitiful screaming. (He would highly suffer from trying to set up trade routes as well, lmaooo) OH MY GOD, if Mobei Jun ever comes to visit Bing-ge, he would also be immediately attacked by crows and that is funnier than anything else right now in my mind. His stern face immediately becomes one of absolute outrage, but it quickly becomes confusion when Bing-ge says he can't attack them back because "Shen Yuan would never forgive me" On the idea of feathers as quill pens, that would end up being incredibly useful for them! Perhaps the use of certain demon feathers would be better than others if we go by different demon feathers holding different abilities - for instance, let's say crow feathers hold increased speed, that would be helpful for writing because one would merely need to guide the quill and let it do the rest. However, a demon feather that created a poison effect, let's say chicken feathers, would not be the best for writing, which makes certain feathers more valuable than others for different things! Shen Yuan would be a great teacher, because he knows the traditional Chinese - which is useful for things you previously mentioned - but then he would be able to introduce a whole new writing system that makes it easier to write. This would be especially useful for those who may struggle with the traditional Chinese, because then they would still be able to access writing!! {part seven! part one, part two, part three, part four, part five, and part six!}

You Don’t Go To Parties Anymore
Tumblr media
Pairing: Kate Bishop x Reader
Word Count: 794
Summary: Kate looks for you at her birthday party and then remembers she ruined the relationship the two of you once had
It’s Kate’s 23rd birthday party. Her stepdad is there. Clint and his wife Laura are there. Lucky is there. Yelena and Fanny are there. Everyone she loves is there except you.
Kate sits down on her couch, despite the joyous occasion, a feeling of sadness overtakes her. The one person she really wanted to celebrate with isn’t here and it’s all her fault. She’s the one who pushed you away. She’s the one who broke your heart, shattering it into a million unfixable little pieces.
So at her own birthday party Kate drowns her sorrows and before she knows it, it’s only her in her apartment. Her birthday has since passed and it’s now 5am. She’s sitting down on her couch, thinking about you and how it all went wrong.
Your relationship had started out great. The two of you were just two college students, having met in a business administration class after being paired together for an assignment. The two of you had hit it off. From there you started going on dates, getting drunk together on the weekends, going on picnics, and doing cutesy little things together.
Then Kate’s life changed. She became the new Hawkeye, her mother went to jail, and she had all of this responsibility thrust onto her.
The two of you had been fighting one day. What once was a rare occurrence in your relationship turned into an everyday thing. Kate normally started the fights, and thinking back on it she’s not sure why.
She loved your relationship. She loved spending her days with you doing nothing but enjoying each others presences. So she’s not sure why she told you differently. She doesn’t know why she had to blow her relationship up the way she did. But she had done it and now she has to live with the consequences.
Sometimes she thinks she just misses the days when the two of you were young and carefree. Maybe she just wanted to blame someone for everything that had been going wrong in her life. Her mom had just gone to jail and she had felt so alone. You just so happened to be there at the wrong time. If Kate could take back all of the mean words she had said to you she would.
“I just feel like I’m drowning and you being here makes everything worse. You’re always here smothering me in attention and loving me. It’s too much. This just isn’t working,” Kate had said, gesturing between the two of you.
“I just can’t. I don’t even know how I feel about you anymore. I think sometimes I resent you. You’re just a constant reminder of everything that I want and can’t have,” Kate said, detailing all her grievances of you. She goes on and on, her words becoming sharper the longer she talks. She was drunk and you both knew it, but it didn’t make her words any less painful to hear. It’s like they say, drunk words are sober thoughts. And if this is what she thought of you, you didn’t want to be with her.
She continues goes on and on, ignoring the tears falling down your face until you finally snap.
“I’m trying to be here for you Katie. I know you’re going through a lot but you’ve been treating me like shit lately. I’ve tried to forgive you, but this is crossing a line,” you sob out.
Kate finally looks up and she sees tears cascade down your face. She goes to get up, to comfort you, but you tell her to not.
“Just leave me alone,” is all you say. You get up and walk out the door to your shared apartment, slamming it behind you.
That was the last time Kate saw you. You had sent her a text the following morning saying the two of you were done. Then a couple days later you had some friends pack up and grab your stuff.
From what Kate had seen on social media you seemed happy. You had a new girlfriend, you were always out with friends and having fun. While Kate spent her days wallowing in self pity all alone. But maybe that’s what she deserved.
Kate spent all of her time alone. She never went out anymore, unless it was to do some super hero work. Or if Yelena dragged her out to a club or a bar. But even then she didn’t enjoy it the way she used to.
As time moved on and Kate went to therapy, she realized she had been projecting her own issues on to you. She had hurt you and now you were gone. So while you lived a happy life without Kate, she wasted away in your once shared apartment.

Your fellow elder ready to prompt you with some Bishova Touching 35
thank you~ 💖
Touching #35- kissing their bruises and scars
——
Kate Bishop was no stranger to bruises. She always had one somewhere, one way or another- her tendency to jump headfirst into danger and challenge every random criminal she met made injury inevitable. If her knuckles weren’t red and swollen, that just meant she hadn’t been training enough. If her cheeks weren’t aching from getting thrown on her face then she wasn’t working hard enough. Pain was a distraction. Pain was constant. Pain was good.
Until she met Yelena.
The woman was a mystery to her- one she wanted to completely uncover. She was mesmerizing, and insane, and stronger than anyone Kate had ever known. It drove her crazy, to see the assassin so close to her and still feel like she knew so little. But they got close, faster than Kate expected. Before she knows it they’re somehow dating, and she’s the luckiest girl in the world. If you asked Yelena, she would say the same.
Kate’s addiction to pain was never unnoticed. Yelena knew how hard she pushed herself, how much she loved the ache in her muscles and the blood on her lip. And it bothered her, but she understood. The want, the need. The pleasure it brought to be so beaten, even in victory. She understood, so she said nothing; just silently patched them both up whenever it was needed.
But she decided that staying silent may have been a mistake the day Kate comes home inches from death.
The archer is barely conscious, bleeding from her head and mouth and cradling a broken wrist to her chest. Her shoulder looks dislocated. There’s a bullet wound in her thigh. Yelena can see gashes and rips in her suit and skin, dark, painful bruises blooming over her taut stomach.
She wants to scream and cry and kill whoever did this to her Hawkeye.
Kate is different after that. Quieter. Timid. Reluctant to go on patrol, hesitant to accept missions. Yelena sees it all, and it breaks her heart in two. She starts taking whatever position Kate was supposed to have, willingly going out with Barton to take down street level crime. Kate isn’t well. She can be good for her. She can DO good for her.
The first time they get close to having sex after Kate heals up, the archer stops her, tears in her eyes and heart beating with anxiety.
“My darling, what is it?” Yelena says gently, cradling her lover close.
Kate can only cry for several minutes, but eventually she curls into Yelena’s warmth. She mumbles something, and Yelena leans closer, asking her to repeat it. “I don’t feel… pretty- anymore,” Kate chokes out, her face pressed into Yelena’s neck.
Something hot flares in the assassin’s gut, and she pulls away to cradle Kate’s cheeks. “Malen’kiy yastreb…” she whispers, waiting for Kate to meet her eyes. “You are the most beautiful creature I have ever been given the honor to lay eyes on.”
Kate stares at her for a moment, lips trembling. “But I’m… I’m broken. My body is… disgusting. The scars, the- the bruises that never go away.”
Yelena shakes her head so hard it nearly makes her dizzy, and she kisses Kate insistently. “Those scars are proof of your strength, your loyalty, your fight, your power.” She's moving back down Kate’s body, marveling at the marred skin underneath her lips as she kisses and nips softly at the scars that her Artemis hates so much. “These are beautiful. You are so beautiful. You are my everything.”
Kate is sobbing quietly, watching Yelena with so much love swelling in her chest she swears she could burst. The blonde explores her body softly, carefully, as if it’s the first time she’s ever seen it. Her fingers trace over the map of pain on Kate’s skin, turning it into love and adoration.
“Kate Bishop, you are perfection,” Yelena murmurs, her lips so warm and so soft as they worship the long, jagged lines over her ribs. “You are nothing but ethereal.”
And Kate thinks that if that’s how Yelena sees her, maybe she can try to look at herself that way too.

"okay I know it may sound crazy, but you have to believe me"
"why wouldn't I believe you?"
"well, because this is really crazy"
"Kate honey, we've been together for a while, I think I’m used to your level of craziness." You shrugged your shoulders.
"no-ugh" She removed one hand from her pocket to grab your wrist and pull you into a less crowded street, which was hard considering it was Christmas time. "this time, it was crazy for me too. I met...an avenger"
At this you widened your eyes. A thing that not many people knew, your girlfriend being one of them, is that you were the newest avenger, fighting crimes for almost five years now, but the other avengers agreed that with you still being a student it was safer to hide your identity. You trusted them not to tell random people who you were, but the thought did cross your mind.
"excuse me, you met who? Who did you meet?" You might already knew the answer by the excitement on her face, but you still wanted a confirmation.
"I met Hawkeye" she whisper-yelled "you could say we're partners now"
"partners...with Clint?"
"yea I figured he's not the most social person in the world but we, wait" she suddenly stops, confusion on her face "how do you know his name?"
...
Shit
"you remember the whole ultron thing? all the avengers' informations got leaked, i read his name" You shrugged. Thank god for those drama classes and quick thinking. "how did you meet him?" you changed the subject, and she seemed to fall into your trap.
"do you remember that charity thing my mom hosted right? turns out there was a big illegal auction and, you know Ronin? yea his suit was there and the tracksuit mafia wanted to buy it but I stole it before they could, I didn't want it I didn't know it was there, I was there just because my mom forced me to go, you know I don't like the parties my mom throws-"
"Kate" you stopped her messy rant, repeating your question. "how did you meet Clint?"
She nodded, collecting her thoughts before speaking again. "Clint knows Ronin wants his suit back, but we first have to take down these people, and it's better if we do it before Christmas because he made a promise to his family to be celebrate it with them."
You sighed, that was typical of Clint, he wouldn't leave if he knew a civilian was in danger. You never heard of this tracksuit mafia, but if it wanted Ronin, it's not something to joke about.
"that's why you have those cuts on you face?"
"yea we got into -a kind of- a fight, after we...got kidnapped, well he did. I just followed him." she responded hesitantly.
"Kate!"
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, but I had to help him. And yes I should have told you but that's why I called you. I wanted to spend a little time with you while I grabbed something to eat." she raised the bag she was holding.
"let's go home, you need to take care of those wounds" you said, knowing she doesn't know how to do that.
"wait let's go to my aunt's place, I told Clint I would bring some food."
- - - -
"Clint? I'm back!" Kate called, closing the door after letting you in "oh right he can't hear" she continued once she didn't get a response.
Said man raised his head from the newspaper he was holding when he saw movement. Once your eyes locked, his seemed to widen. With you being behind Kate, you were able to shake your hand and put a finger on your lips, hoping he would catch the signal.
"Kate why did you bring a friend? You know this is dangerous, they need to go home." Thank god he caught it.
"no no listen, I mean-" she took a notebook from the table and started writing on it 'they're my partner, (Y/N), I trust them completely and they can handle themselves'
Clint stared at the words for a moment, before rolling his eyes while nodding.
"woah..okay thanks, I thought it would have taken more convincing..." The brunette muttered under her breath. Well...he's better at doing his job than being an actor.
While she went to put the groceries in the kitchen, you signed to Clint 'I'll explain later'
He didn't have time to reply when his phone started ringing. Kate re-entered the room to help him, but you were already by the man's side, signing what Nathaniel was saying.
"uh yeah it's...tonight is movie marathon night, that's right, um I really wish I could be there with you" You and Kate exchanged looks, you could see a glimpse of guilt and worry in her eyes before he continued.
"I think I'll be back in the next day or so in time for our ugly Christmas sweater party. I'll be there buddy"
There was silence on both ends after that, before Nathaniel spoke again, "I love you dad"
You started signing but Clint beat you to it and responded with 'I love you more'.
When the call ended he nodded as a thanks and went into another room. Kate turned to look at you "I didn't know you knew sign language"
You put your hands in your pockets, a light nervousness clear in your voice "well, yeah because I never told you, I was mute for almost five years when I was a kid. Selective mutism to be exact."
She forrowed her eyebrows "I didn't know that either- why didn't I know that?"
You sighed, shaking your head "it's just a small part of my past, one I would prefer not to remember, that's all" before she could respond, you interrupted. "let me mend those wounds."
- - - -
"you want to go to your mother's house? And you want me to come along?" after taking care of kate, you repaired Clint's hearing device, Tony taught you how to, since you and him often had missions together. And now the adult archer was able to listen to your conversation.
"yes, (Y/N). Clint knows what we're looking for and I know all the passwords, we need you to alert us if my mom comes back before the time, entertain her until we are done."
"I don't know Kate...your mom doesn't like me. With what excuse am I into her house? 'oh hi miss Bishop I was just waiting for your daughter and instead of knocking I decided to just break into your house, but oh! would you like a cup of tea? a long cup of tea?' you don't even live there" you tried to explain your point, hoping she would see it.
"they're right Kate, we can't bring them into our mess, it's already bad enough that you are. I can't protect both of you." she was about to rebut but eventually closed her mouth, nodding her head.
"I'll let you two to your mission then." you announced, rising from your spot on the couch. Kate raised too, accompanying you to the door.
Once you arrived, you took her hands in yours, raising you voice just a bit so that clint could hear what you were about to say but not enough to let the girl in front of you notice "call me if you need anything, okay? I'll be ready"
"God I hope I won't need any more help" she mutterd making the both of you chuckle.
"I'll se you soon. Don't be too reckless, follow Clint's orders, please" and to prevent one of her stubborn comebacks, you put your lips on hers, kissing her softly.
"bye kid." shouted the man from the other room after a few minutes, effectively scaring the two of you.
"uh yea, bye Mr. Clint! bye Kate" you got out of the apartment. "I'll text you later, promise" she made a kissy face before shutting the door.
- - - -
You don't know how much time has passed since you last saw your girlfriend, trusting Clint to take care of her you decided to catch up on sleep all day. But it was now nighttime and you were doing a report of your last mission to give Fury as soon as it was completed.
Truth be told, it was more of a distraction, you were worried for the two of them but at the same time you knew how distracting and dangerous a sudden phone call could be. So you just had to wait and hope for the best.
A few minutes later you finished your report, your phone started ringing, '<my archer3' on the screen. Needless to say, you instantly responded. "Kate? oh my God, are you okay? Clint-"
"(Y/N)-" a word was all that it took to make you stop. Her voice...cracked. Her voice never cracks, always so confident and steady. "can I, can I come over? Please" if you weren't so on alert you wouldn't have heard her last word.
"of course you can baby, where are you? You want me to pick you up?"
"no, there's no need, I'm almost there" you internally took note of her now slightly relaxed tone.
"okay, I'll wait for you"
- - - -
As soon as you opened the door she entered the house, throwing the bow on the couch. While she was pacing around, fidgeting with her hands you took in her appearance. Her clothes were dirty and she looked sweaty, but most of all exhausted.
You stepped in her personal space, taking her cheeks in your hands to make her look at you. "Kate, how about you take a shower, there are some clothes on the sink, and then you can tell me what's going on, how does that sound?"
Her gaze shifted between your eyes, before sniffing and softly nodding her head.
- - - -
Once she got out of the bathroom, wearing her pants and your sweater, she found you sitting on the couch and her now clean bow was on the armchair. Sensing her presence you raised your head from your phone, smiling.
"Hey, take a slice of pizza, I ordered it today, I can heat it up if you want"
The archer ignored the food on the coffee table, instead taking the phone from your hands, putting it in her pocket. She sat beside you on the couch, putting one of your arms around her shoulder, while she laid her head in the crook of you neck, sighing.
Combining your free hand through her damp hair, you remained quiet, waiting for her to talk.
"me and Clint fought, well kind of-" she took a deep breath before recollecting her thoughts. She told you everything that happened, from the fight on the roof to the meeting with the masked assassin in her apartment.
"wait, Natasha's sister? are you sure?" she took her head off her shoulder to look at you, nodding. Natasha rarely talked about Yelena and they were mostly just little comments, but still, a desire to kill her sister's best friend was not something you expected from the blonde.
"I tried to contact Clint multiple times to inform him but he never answered, I guess we really are not partners anymore" she began looking at her hands, but she raised her head again once she felt a kiss to her forehead.
"it's okay, we'll figure something out, he may look like a grumpy man tired of his job, but he wouldn't let a teenager in danger, knowing he could be of help."
You tried to reassure her, and it seemed like it worked, judging by the chuckle that escaped her mouth. "when you talk like that it seems like you personally know him."
"I'm...good at reading people, I guess" after a few seconds of silence you focused on her breathing, noticing how regular it was, lowering you head you confirmed your suspicions, she fell asleep.
Being as careful as possible you picked her up bridal style and brought her to you bedroom. When you laid her on the bed she unconsciously wrapped her arms around your neck, as to keep you there.
"I wasn't planning on leaving you here, anyway" you laid next to her, taking her back in your hold, now with her head on your chest. "goodnight, love" you softly kissed her hair and waited for an eventual sign. Receiving back none, you cautiously took you phone from her back pocket to contact the blonde avenger.
'I'm not takings sides'
'but you saw how helpful she can be'
'I can look after her while you do your thing'
You thought for a few seconds about your next words.
'just tell me if you need my help, please'
You sighed, putting your phone on the nightstand you closed your eyes, and thanks to Kate's light snores you were soon able to fall asleep.
- - - -
The next morning Kate decided to go to her mom's house to reassure her, and you were still in your house, since you didn't have any information on the situation there wasn't really much you could do, you found yourself waiting for your girlfriend's messages.
From Clint, nothing. But recently he read the texts you sent him, that'll do for now.
- - - -
It's been two days now and you were once again sitting on the couch watching a movie in complete silence. That was until someone knocked, no, literally broke into your apartment.
You jumped from your spot ready to attack the intruder but your favorite scent and two arms around your shoulders stopped you.
"I talked to him! I talked to him! We're good"
You grabbed her waist to tear yourself away from the jumping girl in front of you, bright smile on her lips.
"Kate, oh my- how-what- it's been two days, mind texting me sometimes?" she opened and closed her mouth before pouting.
"I texted you, they were just a random letter, but-but I did" she tried, ending the hug with her hands on you shoulders.
- - - -
"So, what's the next step?" the dark haired girl shook her head, putting her glass on the coffee table, picking up a slice of pizza instead.
"I can't tell you that, it's reserved." she responded with a professional exterior. You open your mouth in amusement and unbelief which made her throw her head back laughing. "I admit I shouldn't have told you anything at all, but you're my partner and I always want to tell you what happens in my life" she ended on a shy note, looking at the food.
You took a bite from her pizza before she could "come on, what could I do? call the bad guys and tell them your plan?"
"(Y/N) stop, I can't tell you, Clint told me not not to"
You furrowed your brows "he did?"
"...yea"
She surrendered with just a look.
"okay he didn't exactly say not to tell you, but it's better if you don't know. I want to keep you safe and- and stop eating my pizza" she put the palm of her hand on your forehead, pushing you away with a fake annoyed face.
Once she finished eating she rose from her seat. "I'll take a shower and we'll go to bed?"
"yes please, you really stink" you got a punch on the arm as a response.
"shut up, says the one who hugged me all night" she grabbed your cheeks, kissing you quickly, before exiting the room.
While you were putting away the pizza box you heard the ring coming from your phone. You took it from your pocket to read the message.
'eventually, are you free tomorrow night?'
You smirked.
'hello to you too, Barton'
'eventually yes, I am free tomorrow night'
- - - -
"Clint the tracksuit are here" Kate stated through her earpiece. She just got down the building thanks to the rope, trying to chase Yelena.
The avenger exposed himself to the window, looking around and muttered angrily "(Y/N) where the fuck are you?-"
"right here, what do I do?" you responded energetically, barely missing the arrow that was aimed at your face.
"woah! you should really recognize the voice, before randomly shooting, you know?" you took the arrow stuck on the wall, handing it to the man.
"you're late."
"technically you didn't give me a time so I can't be late, you just said tonight"
"(Y/N)." and his stern tone made you drop the jokes.
"right, okay. What do I do?" you repeated your question.
"I need you to help Kate, and if you take down the enemies on your way it would be appreciated." he didn't wait for an answer and marched out of the room.
You shook your head, making little jumps to accommodate the adrenaline in your body. You got down from the window, landing without a problem thanks to your powers.
You scanned the area, finding your girlfriend talking to Jack. Running towards her you landed a flying kick in the ribs to a man behind Kate, probably planning on hitting her with his metal bat.
You suddenly kneeled on the ground to avoid the bow, once again, aimed at your face. "I'm on your side, not need to attack me" you pointed a finger to her face. There was no need to change your voice, since the mask already did it for you.
"what are you doing here?"
You tried making up an excuse "uh well, Hawkeye called, said he needed my help."
She furrowed her brows, probably because he didn't tell her anything. "is that guy on our side? I saw you talking to him" you pointed in Jack's gerenal direction, even tho he was not there anymore.
"it's hard to explain, but yea he's with us" she got the words out after a short minute. You both got into action.
- - - -
After half an hour of fighting you find yourself on the ground, a man's hands on your neck, making it impossible for you to breathe.
You used you knee to hit him in the stomach, causing him to growl out in pain, giving you the opportunity to throw him on his back.
As you straddled him and gave him a punch to the side of his head, you heard Kate screaming, and instantly after, you felt a metal bat colliding with your head.
"oh my God!" the archer exclaimed running to you, after defeating your aggressor. The blow only brought you a sense of disorientation thanks to the mask's protection, but what you didn't know was that the voice changer mechanism was now broken.
"are you, are you okay?" she kneeled beside you, using one of her hands to support your shoulders.
"yeah, go back to the fight, I'll be fine in less than a minute." Kate's concern stopped for a second to let confusion settle in upon hearing your voice.
"your voice" even tho it was just a whisper, you were able to hear her, making you jump on your feet and far from the girl.
"see? All better now, let's go back" you said in an horrible fake voice, turning your back to distance yourself.
But Kate obviously didn't fall for your trick. So she called after you. "(Y/N)? Come back here, (Y/N)."
You slowly did as she said, suddenly hoping for a group of enemies to find you, but it seemed like they were on a coffee break.
The brunette took a few steps forward, until your bodies were only centimeters apart. Knowing it was useless to try and defend yourself, you let her put her hand on the base of your neck, to pull your mask off, revealing your face.
“You’re a superhero?”
"well, 'superhero' is a term used in comic books or movies, we don't really use that word in real life" seeing the roll of her eyes and her clenched jaw made you stop. You sighed. "yes."
"why didn't you tell me? You don't trust me enough?" you immediately shook your head, putting your hands in front of you. "of course not, love. It's not a matter of trust-"
"then what is it?" she looked away and sniffed, like she was about to cry. "and don't tell me it's because you wanted to protect me, or maybe it is? Maybe you think I'm so weak that I can't even protect myself?"
You closed your eyes tightly and pinched the bridge of your nose. She was just putting words in your mouth, making you snap.
“Here? You want to do this here?” you opened your arms wide as if to remind her of the situation you both were in.
She sniffed again, soflty nodding her head. "yeah, you're right, let's not talk about it anymore mh? Let's not talk about anything, anymore."
"come on, Kate you know that's not-" you tried grabbing her arm but she was already out of reach. You let out a loud puff, throwing your mask on the ground in frustration.
After a couple of minutes you hear steps behind you and you quickly grabbed your mask from the floor putting it back on, only to realize that the steps belonged to Clint.
"how is it going here, why is not Kate with you?" he was trying to avoid showing it but the worry on his voice was evident.
As much evident as your own trembling voice when you turned to look at him. "I don't know, she left. She found out and she just left. I couldn't get her to calm down and let me explain."
The man put a hand on your shoulder, trying to calm you down. "(Y/N) stop. You're an avenger. You must put the safety of the civilians before your personal business." it was a stern thing to say, but he knew you needed an emotional slap to get back on track. He continued after seeing you nod. "when did she separate?"
You shrugged your shoulders "three to four minutes ago. Three minutes and twenty-five seconds." Clint smiled lightly seeing your somewhat normal behavior.
"Go help her kid. I'm rooting for you." you raised your eyebrows with a smile, even though he couldn't see your face.
"you are rooting for me? I'm must be fucked then." he jokingly pushed your shoulder with a muttered 'shut up'
- - - -
As you left Clint on his own, not knowing that soon after he met Yelena, you went to look for your girlfriend and heard her screaming from the other side of the road.
She was standing on the ground, with a really big man in front of her. He was leaning to give her another punch but your voice stopped him. "hey. You want to fight someone so bad? Fight me you coward"
Your courage flew out the window when he turned around, showing you his face. Kingpin. Clint told you something about him but seeing him in front of you was even worse.
"oh? Look who we have here to join us." he started with a smile full of malice "Listen kid, I'm not interested in you-" he stopped again, felling something touching his back.
What touched him was actually one of Kate's arrows.
She suddenly looked at you, with both fear and determination strong in her gaze. With a quick look at the arrows lying around in the shop, you knew her plan.
As soon as Kingpin turned to face the girl you jumped on his back, with your arms around his neck and your hands covering his eyes, Kate sprung into action and put the arrows down following her scheme.
Kingpin though, had no problem in grabbing you by the jacked and throwing you across the room, your back hit the wall and then your face met the floor making you growl out in pain.
This continued for some time, with you taking his hits, and Kate arranging her arrows on the floor. Running to hide behind some boxes, she called after you. "watch out!"
With the last breath of air you had left, you gave him a punch under his jaw, effectively causing him to release your neck. You used the time he spent looking at all the arrows laying around to get out of the building, but close enough to be able to look after Kate.
Then, there was a big glowy blue light and the man was the center of it. After a few minutes of silence you thought it was over, Kate thought it too, but you suddenly saw him coming at you.
You gulped, preparing to use your powers but before you could, a car hit Kingpin against the wall of the shop. You relaxed your arms, seeing Kate's mother exiting the vehicle.
You stayed on the side while they talked but you could hear what they were saying.
"is that what heros do? Arrest their mother on chirstmas." Those were the last words Eleanor spoke before a police agent took her away.
You looked to your side, suddenly noticing that kingpin was not there anymore. You wanted to go look for him but you averted your gaze when the archer marched towards you.
"go back to your house and mend those cuts I know you rarely do...god I should have known" she closed her eyes in realization "and all the little information you let slip out about Clint, you even repaired his hearing device for fuck's sake" she threw her hands in the air, shaking her head.
"Kate, I'm sorry. I-" you stopped when she held one finger up. "stop, I don't wanna hear it, I don't want to hear anything from you, I can't even look at you anymore."
She turned her head but you noticed the tears that begged to be let out, and you felt even worse than you already did. You tried to grab her arm but she took a step back.
" don't. I've had enough of being betrayed." that's all she said, before going away a second time, probably to look for Clint.
You sighed taking your phone and opened the chat with the avenger.
'she's coming to you'
'take care of her cuts please'
'merry Christmas'
You shook your head, blinking away the tears, going back to your house.
- - - -
It was now 4 a.m. in the morning and you didn't sleep, too busy replaying the events of the night in your head. You should have told her sooner, you trust her with you whole heart and you know she can protect herself, the worry just seemed to always win.
Suddenly you hear three knocks on your door.
"it's becoming a habit" you murmured as you went to see who it was.
"hi" there she stood with a timid smile on her lips.
"hey, come in" you closed the door after letting her in.
You were not going to lie, the other side of you was kinda angry at the archer, you just wanted her to let you explain. You crossed your arms.
She took a deep breath "okay. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have reacted that way, it's just been a stressful week, you didn't tell me about you being mute and-"
"I said it's something I don't want to talk about."
"I know I know, and I completely understand, I'm just saying that so many things came together and-"
You sighed, you both said sorry and you both explained yourselves so there was no need to keep going. "I forgive you"
"Clint told me how important it is for some heros to keep their identity secret"
"Kate I said it's okay"
"and normally I wouldn't mind because I understand but-"
With her hands in yours you shut her up, with the help of a kiss "I said I forgive you". You pull away from her, chuckling. "God it is so hard to get you to listen."
“I still hate you, ya know?”
You playfully rolled your eyes. "and for what?" you knew from the look in her eyes it was not going to be anything serious, and you almost wanted to laugh at her attempt to keep her frown. "well you are an avenger, every time I talked about Clint or about a theory you always listened to me without saying anything."
You burst out laughing and it only got worse when your girlfriend slapped your chest, keeping her hand there as a barrier when you brought you lips centimeters away from hers.
"don't, don't kiss me you don't deserve it" she whispered with her eyes almost closed.
But once you put your mouth on hers she couldn't help but smile, humming. One of her hands cupped your cheek, the other on the back of your neck, while your hands held her waist. She detached when she needed to breathe. The pout now was completely gone as she looked in your eyes.
"am I forgiven now?"
"mh, almost" she teased, brushing her lips with yours, hinting at another kiss.
But you were planning something else. "I got a proposition for you then" she furrowed her brows in response, slightly upset you didn't give her what she wanted.
“Wanna help me make a new super suit?”
This was even better then a kiss, she put her hands on your shoulders, squeezing them, clearly excited. "wait, really? Can I really do it? Oh I have a lot of ideas if I can"
You looked between her eyes, smiling. "of course you do, you make sure to share every possible design you can think of"
"and now you can use them!" she said matter-of-factly. "but we better get to sleep now, we have places to be."
"where do we have to go?" instead of answering, she kissed you again, pulling you to your bed.
- - - -
"dad! dad you're here!" an excited Nathaniel screamed, running to jump into his father's arms, followed by Lila and Cooper. Laura was a few feet away, enjoying the scene with her arms crossed.
"merry Christmas buddy, all of you" he whispered, kissing every kid's head. Then he raised his own to look at his wife.
"I hope you don't mind, I brought three strays." "uhm, excuse me" you entered the house with a fake hurt, and loud, tone. "I am not a-"
"(Y/N)!" Nathaniel interrupted you, moving away from the avenger only to hug you. You picked him up, and he wrapped his legs and arms around you. "hey little boy, merry Christmas" he chuckled in response "merry Christmas (Y/N)" depositing a sloppy kiss on your cheek.
A bark distracted the happy scenario, making everyone but you and Clint turn to the door. "sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt, I guess pizza dog is hungry." she stood still with a shy smile. You playfully rolled your eyes, taking her hand with your free one.
"come in, you idiot, only you are missing"
- - - -
After that rather clumsy and shy enter, she met everyone, already seeming to get along with Lila. You played some family games, with joyful bickering between the different teams. Once it was time to prepare lunch, Laura instantly scolded you when you went into the kitchen to help, playfully shoving you away and demanding that you needed to rest.
So you were now in the living room while the baby of the house slept on your lap. You felt the couch dip and a little weight on your shoulder. "how are you feeling?" you asked, seeing her yawning and nuzzling her head deeper into your neck.
"mh, tired" she murmured.
Your lips turned into a smile, leaving a kiss to her temple "merry Christmas, my love"

come back home (i'm afraid of disappearing) [K.Bishop]
Tumblr media
pairing: kate bishop x reader
summary: kate comes home after a rough night out patrolling the city to find you waiting for her. despite the argument the two of you had earlier in the day, you do everything in your power to comfort your girlfriend.
warnings: mentions of an argument; small injuries [cuts and bruises]; hurt/comfort; weird metaphors; kate being a cute dork who is trying her best [and failing a little]
wordcount: 1.5k
a/n: kate bishop deserves all the hugs in the world. send tweet. title is a loose translation of a lyric from torna a casa by måneskin [apologies for the sudden ending, it's cute though?]
* * * * * * *
The sound of the front door slamming shut wakes you from your slumber. You wipe the sleep from your eyes as you wait to hear your girlfriend's footsteps coming into the living room.
A few minutes go by without any sign of her so you slowly get up from your spot on the couch, careful not to bother the golden retriever lounging next to you. Your steps are soft as you make your way toward the kitchen, assuming Kate stopped to get a drink of water before changing out of her Hawkeye suit.
You can't help but let out a small gasp once you finally find her leaning against the fridge, her suit battered and torn.
Her eyes snap open when she hears you and you can clearly see every ounce of fear she usually keeps hidden deep inside of herself on her features. “y/n? What are you doing here?”
“I wanted to surprise you,” you answer softly. “Guess I'm the one who got the surprise, huh?”
The humor in your tone seems to go unnoticed by her and you watch as the dam behind her eyes breaks. Those usually vibrant eyes you love so much turn stormy in seconds and the tears start falling before either of you can say anything.
You're in front of her in a second, your arms reaching out to comfort her without a second thought. She crumbles in front of your eyes and the sight alone breaks your heart. The feeling intensifies, however, when you finally realize what she's mumbling into the crook of your neck.
“I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.”
You’re not sure if she’s apologizing for your earlier argument or for whatever happened on her late-night patrol of the city. You don’t care, either way, your worry overpowering any sense of anger you might still hold after your fight.
“You have nothing to apologize for, Katie.” Your words are soft as you run a hand through her hair.
Her tears are cold against your skin and you want nothing more than to take her pain and place it inside yourself.
You don't know how much time passes, all you know is you hold her against you until her tears dry out and her sobs die down. She's still shaking but she pulls away from you and you already know what she's going to say before she opens her mouth.
“I mean it,” you rush out before she can get a word in. “You don't have to apologize. For anything.”
Whatever protests she had die on her tongue and you thank every force you can think of for that. You take her hand in yours and gently pull her toward the bedroom. A million questions swirl around in your mind but you force them away, choosing to focus on your girlfriend instead.
You lead her over to the bed and help her sit. “How bad is it?”
“I’m f-”
“Katherine Elizabeth Bishop, do not lie to me.”
Her eyes widen slightly, both from your tone and the fact that you just full-named her. She stares at you, the remnants of her tears shining against her skin. “It's not that bad…I've been through worse.”
You assume the words are supposed to be reassuring but her tone doesn't match. For the first time since you met her, she seems defeated. Like she's finally been crushed under the weight she carries on her shoulders every day.
You feel like you should say something but there are no words to describe what you're feeling so you settle your attention on the cuts scattered along her face. “You're bleeding.”
You attempt to move away from her to get the first-aid kit but she reaches out to grab your wrists. She pulls you close before you can get too far, looking up at you while you stand between her legs. “I don't care about that. I care about you…about us.”
“Kate...” Your voice is as soft as ever as you reach out to cup her face with your hands, your eyes searching for the familiar depths of her eyes. “Was this because of our argument?”
She gives you a small nod, a few new tears slipping down her face. “I just…I couldn’t stop thinking about you.”
A part of you thinks you should be angry with her for being so reckless but you can’t be. Not when she’s looking at you with such pain, such vulnerability, in her features. You don’t know what she needs but you know you’d do everything in your power to help her. You’d steal the moon and the stars from the sky if it would make her smile.
“You do realize you proved me right…?”
The corners of her mouth lift up the slightest bit at your words. “I do, yeah. That almost hurt more than the punch to the face.”
“You’re an idiot.” You shake your head, a small chuckle falling from your lips. Despite the heaviness of the situation, you’re happy to see her smiling again.
“But you love me.”
There's a hidden insecurity to her words that most people wouldn't catch.
But you're not like most people.
"I do," you reply softly. "I love you…no matter how big of an idiot you are sometimes."
The little grin on her face grows until it's a full-blown smile and the sheer amount of beauty it radiates leaves you speechless for a few seconds. You wipe away her remaining tears with your thumbs, your eyes scanning her face again.
"I'm okay." She turns her head to the side and gives the inside of your wrist a tiny kiss. "You're cute when you're worried."
"Then I must be cute all the time."
She gives you a small nod, her eyes glued to your face. “You are. You're incredible. I don't deserve you.”
“Don't say that-”
“I almost lost you, y/n. Over a stupid argument I should’ve never started. I'm an idiot who doesn't deserve you."
There are a thousand words on the tip of your tongue but they all feel insufficient when compared to the way your heart beats when you're around Kate. You could round up all the poets in the world and have them all write a thousand different poems about what you feel for your girlfriend and it still wouldn't be enough.
So, instead, you lean down and capture her lips in a soft kiss.
Her arms wrap around your waist and she guides you onto her lap without breaking the kiss. You pour all the feelings you can’t put into words into the kiss. All your fear, all your worry, but most importantly, all your love.
You pull away from her to catch your breath. Your voice is barely above a whisper when you speak again. "You're not going to lose me, Katie."
"You mean that? Even after what I said?"
You're reminded of your earlier argument once again and you can't hide the frown that makes its way onto your face. "We both said things we didn't mean."
"Yeah, but I was a total jerk. You were just looking out for me and I lashed out at you." Her voice cracks under the weight of her emotions.
"It's okay," you reassure her, your thumb drawing soft circles onto her cheek. "I promise we're okay."
She doesn't say anything in response, she just leans in to kiss you again. You let her pull you as close as possible while you enjoy the feeling of being back in your girlfriend's arms after the day you've both had.
There's nowhere else you'd rather be right now.
“You’re wrong, by the way," you mumble against her lips. "you deserve the world.”
“Well…” She trails off, the subtlest of smirks on her face as she pulls back to look into your eyes. “You’re my world.”
You shake your head at her while she laughs, the sound filling you with nothing but love for the archer. “Smooth, Bishop.”
“I love you, y/n.” The humor in her tone fades away into something more sincere. “And I know I’m a reckless, stubborn, idiot but I’ll always come home to you. No matter how bad things get out there. You're my safe place, you know?”
You lean in to give her another quick kiss. “I know. You're my safe place too. I'll always be waiting for you.”
“Great!” It startles you how quickly the sadness fades from her eyes, even if there are still a few traces of it on the rest of her face. “I think I deserve some cuddles now.”
"I don't think so. I love you but you need a shower.”
She pouts but you don't give in. Determined to resist her puppy dog eyes. After a few seconds, she sighs. “Fine…but afterwards we can cuddle?”
“Yes, Katie. Shower then cuddles.”
In an instant, her strong hands grab onto your waist and she picks you up. You let out a yelp as she drops you onto the bed before running off toward the bathroom. "I'll be right back!"
"Kate!" You yell out after her, unable to stop your laughter. "I still have to clean those cuts!"

The Sweetest Treat
Kate Bishop x Female Reader
Kate invites the Barton’s to New York for Halloween and you spend the night watching her shine with happiness
Note: Woohoo flufftober! Here’s another soft one!
Flufftober Masterlist, Main Masterlist
When Kate said that her Avenger friend, Hawkeye, was going to bring his kids to New York for Halloween, you weren’t sure what to expect.
She had only just started dating you when she met Clint and all of her life began to change. It wasn’t easy on her to lose her mother to prison, but her relationship with Clint and his wife helped her feel better.
You just know that you’re grateful to them and can’t wait to meet them today. Kate has her apartment decorated for the holiday and is practically bouncing off the walls excited for them to arrive.
“Do you think we bought enough candy?” Kate asks as she waits by the door.
“I think we have enough for all of New York,” you joke. She nods seriously. “Kate, baby, don’t worry. There’s plenty for Clint’s kids and plenty for trick or treaters.”
“You’re right,” Kate says. “I just want to make sure they’re happy. I had a great time meeting them at Christmas, but what if things aren’t as good this time?”
“It’s going to be amazing, Kate Bishop. You’re amazing and there’s nothing that’s gonna change that,” you encourage her.
She smiles and hugs you. Your head falls perfectly against her chest as you soak up the warm affection.
“I love you. Did you know that?” Kate asks.
“Mhm, I sure did. I love you too,” you say.
You stay in each others arms until you’re interrupted by a knock on the door. Kate opens the door.
The youngest kid practically barges in before he’s held back by his mother.
“Hi everyone,” Kate says, her smile beaming. “Come on in.”
“Thank you, Kate,” Laura says. You recognize her from photos that Kate brought home after Christmas. She hugs Kate and looks to you. “And you must be, y/n.”
“Yes ma’am,” you say. “It’s nice to meet you.”
“You too,” Laura says. Her attention is stolen by her young son running around the apartment already. “Excuse me.”
“Hey Kate,” Clint greets her now. He looks at her almost softly. You know she values his place in her life.
“Hawkeye,” she greets him with a laugh that he shares.
“Lila’s been excited to see you again,” Clint says quietly so only you and Kate and can hear him. “She thinks you’re cool. Her words, not mine.”
Kate’s eyes shine at his words. You can already see the impact this family has on her.
Lila and Cooper had made themselves comfortable on the couch. Kate leads you over to the teenagers.
“Hey guys,” Kate says. “This is my girlfriend, y/n. Y/n, this is Cooper and Lila.”
“Hey, nice to meet you both!” You say. “Kate told me all about the card games y’all played at Christmas. If we ever play, just know you’re all going down.”
“We’ll see about that,” Lila says. You like her already.
“What have you been up to?” Kate asks Lila.
They catch up on life and you love watching them interact. Kate seems lighter already. A few hours pass and it’s time for the kids to get ready to go trick or treating.
Nate is dressed up and so is Cooper. He doesn’t seem like he wanted to but his little brother wanted to wear matching costumes.
“Do I have to go?” Lila asks her parents. She’s not wearing a costume, but they still want her to go walk around with them.
“She can stay with us,” Kate jumps in. “We’re going to pass out candy.”
“Please Mom, can I?” Lila pleads.
“Alright,” Laura agrees. “Be good.”
“I’m always good,” Lila says.
“I know,” her mom says. “All three of you be good.”
You all nod and see the rest of the Barton’s out of the apartment. Kate turns on a fun Halloween playlist and you give out candy as the trick or treaters come. You love watching her interact with the kids. She always compliments their costumes.
The night is winding down and Kate is giving out candy to the last few kids in the building. You sit on the couch and sip on a warm apple cider.
“Can I ask you something?” Lila suddenly turns to you and asks.
“Sure,” you say, sitting upright a bit more. Her tone seems serious.
“How did you know you were in love with Kate?” Lila asks. She looks away like she’s scared of the answer.
“Oh, well it was a really interesting sensation. I just kind of looked at her one day and I thought yeah I love this girl,” you say. “It wasn’t some epiphany as much as it was just something that felt right.”
Lila nods and her eyes tell you she wants to say more.
“Why do you ask?” You press.
“No reason,” she shrugs. “I just- I might be at that point with someone and I was just curious.”
“Ah, I see,” you say. The girl smiles nervously. “Follow your heart, Lila. And you just might find that it leads you to the place you’ve always belonged.”
“Thank you, y/n,” Lila says. She hugs you.
“Of course,” you reply, hugging her back.
“Aw man,” you hear Kate’s voice. “I’m going to replaced by you now.”
“No one could ever replace you Kate,” Lila says. Kate sits next to her on the couch and wraps her arm around her shoulder. “Y/n is cool though.”
“Isn’t she?” Kate asks. “I got the best treat of all.”
“You’re an absolute cheeseball,” you tease her.
Kate smiles softly. You end up turning on a movie and relaxing until the rest of the Barton’s get back to the apartment. You enjoy hearing about Nate’s night.
Kate lays down with you that night so content that it makes you emotional. You kiss her softly and fall into a deep sleep.
She’s the sweetest treat indeed.

Alright friend, so when I was watching Hawkeye and it's the scene where he's talking with Kate about the cost of being a hero. It gave me an idea, so I was thinking kate, yelena and reader are on a mission to scout an abandoned hydra base or something. Kate and reader enter a room when they are looking at a computer, reader hears a bomb. They both look around and when they find it it's about to explode. So reader pushes kate out of the room and shuts the door to protect her or if you like it better I was also thinking of reader getting shot saving kate or something while fighting hydra agents. Anyway, however you want reader to get hurt. So then at the compound in the med bay, reader is on life support when kate calls clint and just starts breaking down saying how she understands the cost now. Clint ends up coming to the compound to help kate. Reader ends up being ok in the end though cause kate deserves to be happy. I was thinking for a title you could call it the cost or something like that. Sorry sounds cliché I know, especially the title. Anyway, you're the best 💖 Also bonus points for having reader be yelena's younger sister and sorry if I rambled to much
The Cost
Pairing: Kate Bishop x Super Soldier! Reader
Summary: After saving Kate from a bomb, it opens the archer’s eyes to a much, much bigger picture about her new job.

AC: Thank you for sending this! I’m so happy to do some more Kate content, I made reader a Super Soldier for this, I hope that’s okay x
Tumblr media
Not a second thought went through your mind when you pushed Kate out of the room that held the data you and Kate were collecting. The bomb went off not even a second after Kate was pushed to safety, not leaving you a chance to get yourself to safety as the building fell on top of you. Kate was speechless as she searched the rubble for you, back up was on the way but even when they arrived, Kate didn't stop looking for you.
When you were found, all Kate could see was how much blood covered your body and instantly she thought the worst. Tears filled her eyes as the others made sure to get you to safety and take you back to the compound's medical center. Kate was beside herself as she waited outside your medical bay while the medical team did their best to keep you alive. If it wasn't for the fact that you were a super soldier, there would be no way you'd have survived the blast of the bomb.
It didn't matter how many times Kate replayed the situation over and over in her head, she knew you saved her life when you pushed her out the window of that room. Anytime Kate saw a nurse come out of the medical room, she would stop them and ask for an update but just like any hospital, they couldn't give the young archer any update until the doctor had completed the operation. Hours would pass before Kate would have any news on your condition.
"For now, they're in a medical induced coma to help their body heal. We won't know anything further until they wake up" Bruce explained to the team, but more so to Kate who felt sick to her stomach with worry.
You've been Kate's work partner for a little over a year now but only recently over the course of a couple of months have the two of you kindled a romance. Its new and exciting to the two of you which is why nobody else knew about it just yet. Besides, you'd be lying if you said you were slightly scared of what Clint might say considering how close he and Kate are. She's basically his adopted daughter and he's very protective of her.
"But they're going to be okay, right?!" Kate asked with a worried tone, she just needed Bruce to assure her that you were okay because she called the one person, she knew would help her through this situation.
"Right now, yes but until they wake up, we won't know if there us anything further that needs attention" he replied. It wasn't exactly jumping for joy news, but it was enough for Kate to calm down for a moment and excuse herself form the room.
"Clint, I need you to come to the compound, please" Kate's broken voice spoke through the phone.
"Is everything okay?!" Clint asked in an instant worried tone.
"I just…I need you here, I understand now" Kate replied.
"Understand what? Kate, are you okay? What's happened?"
"It all happened so fast, we were just getting data from this Hydra base when Y/n noticed an active bomb….it was already too late to run, they pushed me out the window before I had a chance to help them" Kate broke as she recalled the events that took place. Tears streamed down her face as she hoped you'd be okay. "The building just came down, there wasn't anything I could do Clint" Kate added in a sob, her words breaking with every tear that streamed down her face.
Clint gave the young avenger a moment of silence, already packing his overnight bag and writing a note for Laura to see later. "Kate, I'm on my way, okay?" he spoke, breaking the silence.
Kate nodded, even though she knew Clint couldn't see her action. "I need them to be okay" she sobbed.
"I know sweetheart, I know" Clint replied, not afraid to show her his caring side. "I'm on my way, just hang in there for me, can you do that?" he added.
"Yeah" Kate wiped her tears even though it felt pointless as more tears filled the place of the last ones.
----
Clint arrived and found Kate sitting by your bedside when her hand gently resting on top of your left, her thumb gently stroking your knuckles. The thought of you knowing she was by your side helped calm her wondering thoughts as she would tell you repeatedly how much she needed you to be okay.
"How are they?" Clint asked, quietly taking a few steps into the room. Kate looked up at him, her exhausted expression worried him. "Bruce said we won't know anything else until they wake up" Kate explained.
"What about you? Have you been checked out?"
"I'm fine, just a couple of cuts and bruises" Kate replied before she looked back at you, "they saved me Clint, without a second thought….they just pushed me out the window and I'm not sure how I didn't understand it before, but now I get it…this is the cost" Kate looked back at Clint with teary eyes, "I could lose them" she added.
"You can't think that way" Clint replied, placing a hand on her shoulder as he looked into her eyes, "yeah, this is the cost and there is a chance you or somebody on your team could lose their life but that's what makes you fight harder so that doesn't happen. Y/n's first thought was to protect you, to keep you safe and they did that. They are willing to risk their life to make sure you're okay and this is the cost they took. When it comes to life-or-death moments, there isn't time to think, you just do. This is why we train as hard as we do and why are so annoying with going over mission details to help prevent things like this happening." Clint added.
Kate's tears broke and once again formed another stream down her face as Clint wrapped his arms around the younger woman, holding her close for comfort.
----
6 months later and you were back on your feet like nothing happened, a few scars to remember but you made a full recovery.
"What's on your mind pretty?" you asked, breaking Kate's train of thought as she staired into space. "Huh? Oh, just you" she replied with a soft smile.
"That looked like some intense thoughts" you chuckled, "good ones I hope" you added. Kate wandered over to you and straddled your lap before softly pressing her lips against yours, "promise me you won't scare me like that again?" she spoke.
"What? Bring you back from your thoughts?" you asked, gently rubbing her back.
"No, I mean" Kate paused for a moment, "I don't want to lose you, ever! Clint told me something a couple of years back, you know, before I became an avenger. This job comes with a cost an-"
"Baby, listen to me" you stopped Kate's worrying thoughts leaving her lips, "it's going to take much more than a bomb explosion to get rid of me, I knew there was no way the two of us were going to get out of that room safely and I knew I'd have a much higher fighting chance at surviving the bomb because of the serum" you couldn't help by brush a lock of her long dark hair behind her ear.
"I wake up every morning worried that something might happen to you on a mission or just by doing day to day things, I wish I could protect you from every single thing but it's not how life goes but if I can protect you, I will, without a second thought" you added while looking into her eyes.
"But what if one day you don't make it? That's what I'm worried about baby" Kate replied as her hands rested peacefully on your shoulders. "Kate, honey, let's not think about the what ifs, let's think about the now. I'm here and I'm okay. You're here and you're okay, we have each other and to me, that's all that matters. I'm not going anywhere, I promise" you cupped her face gently, pulling her closer to your lips as you kissed her deeply. "I love you" Kate whispered between kisses. A smile tugged at your lips before you kissed her once more, "I love you too baby" you replied.

As a caregiver I feel like every caregiver as at least one fictional character that they know would be the perfect little one ! ♡´・ᴗ・`♡
Mine is Kate Bishop from the MCU (if you’ve seen her in Hawkeye, I think it’s pretty self explanatory.) If you’re a caregiver or a flip and have a fictional character in mind, feel free to share! I’m curious >:3

KILLSHOT
A Kate Bishop/reader fic
—————————————————————————————————————
“If I wanna stay alive, you should never cross my mind”
Kate Bishop is the perfect girl. She’s smart, funny considerate, talented….hot. She’s everything you could want in a girlfriend.
When you get curious about the Avengers latest recruit, a quick google search shows you something you never could’ve imagined. Kate Bishop is a playboy.
——————————————————————————
You had heard about Kate Bishops reputation. The girls, the fan club that followed her around to all of her archery practices and competitions, all of it. But somehow she still had charmed you. Locked in an aggressive flirtationship for at least a month now, tensions were rising, and one of you had to buck up sooner or later to make a move.
From the moment Clint had brought her into the team, “the heir to the Hawkeye title” the media called her, you were infatuated. And what’s a girl to do when she’s infatuated? Research. Hours and hours of scrolling through articles about New York’s youngest security company heiress. She’s a skirt chaser some articles say. Her party life is out of control others say. It was boring, just media hearsay for the most part. With any superhero you’re going to get drama and rumors especially when you’ve been in the media since you were a child like Kate had. You didn’t think anything of it, that is until you found something that ACTUALLY piqued your interest . Kate bishop, Halloween night. It was a Twitter link. Clicking on it you were greeted with an image. And boy what an image it was. Kate bishop, plastered out of her mind in what you thought was maybe a firefighter costume. She was locking lips with a blonde girl, equally as drunk, who was dressed as a Victoria’s Secret Angel. That alone was a sight for sore eyes, until your eyes drifted farther down. Kate had the girl pushed up a wall, one hand holding a solo cup full of god knows what. Her knee was pressed up in between the other girls legs. Kates unoccupied hand cupped the other girls breast. Lipstick covered both girls faces , evident that they had been at this for a while and someone had just snapped a picture.
Flushed and embarrassed at what You had just seen and how it made you feel, you closed the tab and put your phone facedown on your bed. What the hell did I just see. That image had sealed the deal, you knew everything that you had read was true. The rumors, the girls, the picture.
Kate Bishop was playboy, and you had fallen right into her trap.
Now standing across from Kate, loose strands falling from her ponytail, sweat rolling down her toned stomach, your mind went back to to that picture you had seen weeks ago. It felt like all the moisture had been sucked from your mouth. You couldn’t make a move. The rumors swirled around your head.
Is she just trying to get in my pants?
“You good?”
Kate waved her hand in front of your face. The training room you were in seemed smaller than normal and your stomach churned.
God I’m just a game to her
“Hey, I didn’t hit you too hard did I? Clint says I need to take it easy because ‘not everyone has been doing karate since they were 9-“
“I know about your reputation”
Before you could even think about what you were say, the words were out of your mouth, cutting Kate off mid thought. She laughed a little and looked at you, brows furrowing.
“What?”
You played with your fingers. No time to back down, you’ve gotta be a big girl now.
“The girls and the parties……and the fan club…What’s up with that?”
If this flirtaionship was worth turning into a relationship, you needed to know if she was actually interested in you or if you were just the latest girl to add to her roster.
Kate nods a little and takes a step back from you, chewing her cheek a little.
“Oh…” she trailed off,
“You heard about that”
“Of course I heard about it, it’s all over the internet when you look up your name”
“….so you looked me up?”
She looks at you again and smiles, thinking this is a joke.
“Kate, I’m serious” you plead with her, to please be serious for once in her life. To her you may be a game that she gets to win, but these were your feelings and your heart.
Kate bites her lip and puts her hands up defensively, shaking her head a bit.
“I just like to have a little bit of fun every now and then, that’s all”
Your heart dropped. If it could’ve fallen out of your ass, it would’ve. Is stringing me along what she calls “a little bit of fun”
“So am I just, a little bit of fun?”
Blue eyes widen and she takes a step forward, hurt at your words.
“What? Of course not? Why would you think that?”
The more you stood there the more upset you got. You had spent a month texting this girl non stop, spending every spare moment you could with her.
“The fact that there’s pictures of girls making out with you online, and a fan club dedicated to you, and articles talking about your party life.”
You had originally been paired with her because you two were the only people that were your age in the Avengers. It was easiest to train that way. She was the closest thing you had to a best friend and had become something like a partner to you.
“What number am I? Do you have a list where you write down all the girls you get with?”
You spat . Your sadness turned to anger quickly. Anger at yourself for being so stupid to think she actually was into you, and anger at her for thinking you were that easy. A couple of coffee dates and compliments would NOT get her into your pants.
“Are you serious? You really think I’m going to use you like that?”
Kate was closer to you now. Being able to see the freckles that decorated her face more clearly now. Thick brows furrowed and her full lips parted.
She was right, she had been nothing but kind to you. Using you didn’t feel like it would be in her character. She did make you feel special. But that’s probably how she’s gotten all the other girls. Your mind flashed back to the blonde that was sat all pretty on her thigh in the picture from the Halloween party. You were mad again.
“Kate, I really like you. More than I’ve ever liked anyone before. But I am not just a game for you to win”
She stood there staring at you, and you couldn’t meet her eyes or else you’d start crying.
“These are my feelings and I’m going to protect them. I may just be another girl in your roster, but you’re not that to me. And I care way too much”
Kate scoffs at your words. Clenching and unclenching her jaw.
“You have got to be kidding me. You’re going to listen to what other people say about me? How interviews make me seem?”
“I get that you’re a spoiled rich girl, and you get everything you want. But you don’t get me.”
Another step was taken towards you, and you didn’t back up. She wasn’t going to win this.
“I’m sure losing me wouldn’t be that big of a deal, just move onto the next one.”
“Will you just listen to me? I-“
Kates eyes flick down to your lips for a moment. Un-fucking-believable . She really was just trying to get in your pants.
“You can’t fuck your way out of this one, Kate Bishop.”
Eyes locked onto each other, this could be dangerous. In that moment the air in the training room was still. Kate stood in front of you, another step and your noses would be touching. Something in Kate’s eyes changed. Her pupils dilate, black eclipsing over blue. Almost like an animal looking at their next meal. She looked like she was going to eat you alive.
“Are you going to say anything?”
Her lack of response to your comeback was making you squirm, but you couldn’t tear your eyes from hers.
She smiles to herself.
“Or maybe I can”
“Excuse me?” You said, stepping backwards.
Her lips were on yours in an instant. You couldn’t help but let out a moan in response. Arguing with her was more hot than it should’ve been. Your hands flailed for a minute, reaching for anything you could. Eventually one anchored itself in her hair and the other clutching her shoulder. She smiled against your lips before pulling away.
“Do you know why?”
“Huh?”
You couldn’t breathe. Did that really just happen?
Kates breath fanned across your face as she played with your hair, eyes scanning your face.
“Why I got with all those girls?”
She finishes her question. Her hands traveled down your body, down to your hips where she punctuated her words with a subtle squeeze. Did you really want to know? Despite being scared of the answer, you meekly shook your head no.
“Because..” she trails off, slowly backing you into the mirrored wall that you had been standing in front of the whole time.
Your back hit the wall, you had nowhere to go. Kate Bishop had you where she wanted.
“Because I hadn’t met you yet.”
Her lips barely graze yours as she say that. You want her so desperately to close the gap again, but you don’t move, knowing she has the power in this moment.
You blinked a few times, this a confession.
Your eyes flutter shut as you take her in. The smell of her shampoo, the feeling of her stray hairs tickling your cheek.
“how about once we’re done here you can give an interview of your own about your experience, hm?”
Kate cocked her head to the side, finger lightly tracing the side of your face, making its way to your jaw. Your thighs squeezed together in an attempt to ease the ache that was very quickly building. You looked at her through half lidded eyes Kate. Kate. Kate. Kate
frantically nodding your head yes, you grasped at her shoulders. An ill attempt at getting closer to her.
Calloused fingers from years of stringing bows flew to your face as Kate’s lips met yours once again. Her whole body jolts forward, pushing your body against the mirror even more. Your hands finding their way into her ponytail again, grabbing on like your life depended on it.
Kates hands traced down your face as she continued kissing you, moving down your neck to your breasts. A needy noise escaped your throat and you pulled your head back from Kate in response. Her eyes met yours and she shifted her mouth downward, sucking and biting dark marks onto your neck. One hand groping at your tit, as the other explored its way down to the waistband of your leggings.
You arched your back , shoving your tit more into Kate’s calloused hand.
“Easy girl, I’m going to take my time”
Kate whispers into your ear. It’s a warning. She shoves her knee in between your legs, and you’re sure she can feel the heat that’s radiating down there. Another needy noise is ripped from your throat as she does this, and you come to the realization that you’re in the same position as the blonde from the Halloween party.
“Kate..”
You look down at her, hands having moved back down to her shoulders. You need her to move, the ache in your cunt becoming overpowering. She giggles. She fucking giggles. Kate Bishop giggles at you.
“What?” She bats her eyes and gives an experimental bounce of her thigh. Pleasure shoots up your body and you throw your head back against the wall. Biting your lip to not let another whine out.
“Kate please..”
You whined, grinding yourself down on her toned thigh. Surrendering all self control and respect. She pats your thigh,
“There you go, I knew you’d figure it out”
She presses another kiss to your lips. You eagerly accept her, moaning into her mouth as You continued to grind down onto her. It was helping, but you needed more.
Kate’s fingers danced around the hem of your tank top, almost like she was scared to touch it.
“For fucks sake”
You stopped your motions for a moment as you pulled your tank off, it clinging to you a bit from training earlier. Kates hands were all over you. Your tits, your ass, in your hair, she was everywhere.
“I-“
You started, but we’re cut off by Kate jolting her knee upwards, the motion colliding with your clit. Doubling over you rested your head on her shoulder, panting.
“Sorry, didn’t catch that”
You groaned
“Kate I-“
Another purposefully timed jolt and a moan clawed its way out of your mouth.
“One more time?”
She was smiling. You were sure of it. She stroked your hair and gently grabbed it, forcing you to look at her.
“Pretty please?”
She smiled at you. A genuine, million dollar, Kate Bishop smile.
“I need more”
You sounded desperate. Like if you didn’t get more you’d die.
“Whatever you say, Princess.”
She kissed your cheek gently as she finally let her fingers slip under the waistline of your leggings.
You needed her fingers inside of you, now.
“Holy shit”
Kate Bishop is about to fuck me senseless in a training room , and I’m going to let her.
Her fingers traced up and down your folds.
“All for me?”
She met your eyes, and you tried to avoid them. The noises that were coming from were her hand was were embarrassing
“You were all confrontation five minutes ago, and now you’re all embarrassed? Cute.”
Kate kissed you again as she gently stroked your clit
Kissing her back deeply you tugged at her sports bra, wanting to see more of her.
“Off”
“Excuse me?”
Kate smiled at you and aggressively thrust her fingers inside of you. Your breath caught in your throat at the intrusion and you saw stars. A moan fell from your lips and Kate gave a laugh.
“What did you want from me again? Did you want this?”
Kate took a step back as she removed her fingers from you. You whined at the loss of her, having only just gotten used to it. She brought her fingers that were previously shoved into your cunt to her mouth, holding your stare the whole time . The sight alone was enough to cum. But she continued to indulge your fantasy.
Her hands went to the bottom of her sports bra and she pulled up, letting her tits spill out. Your mouth watered at the sight. She discarded the bra somewhere else in the training room.
“Your turn”
You didn’t need to be told twice. That animalistic look was back as she watched you reach for your bra. The air of the room hit your bare breasts and your nipples hardened at the cold air. With a final tug you finally had gotten your bra over your head and you threw it half hazardly away from you, ready to have Kate’s body heat up against you again.
The archers eyes widened as she made eye contact with the jewelry that went through your nipples.
“I uh..it was a dare”
You suddenly felt sheepish, was this a turn off? Does she hate me now.
Kate said nothing as she slowly walked back towards you, chest heaving. She put her hands back on your hips, pulling your hips flush together. She presses her lips close to your ear.
“The only thing you are going to be able to say for the rest of the night….is my name”
Before you could react to her words, her mouth attached to your neck. Kissing and biting her way down to one of your breasts, where her lips wrapped around your nipple. Her teeth closed around the gold hoop you had in. She held her mouth there as a smile spread across her face. Through her lashes she met your eyes.
A sharp tug on your breast sent white hot pleasure through your body and you sent your hand up to your mouth in an attempt to save your dignity. Kate released your jewelry as her other hand pinched your neglected bud.
“No one’s here Yknow…and what did I say about my name? Do you need a reminder?”
“Kate!”
You arched your back, sending your tit directly back into the brunettes mouth. Her name continued to fall from your mouth as she swapped nipples, giving the other the same treatment.
Your hands went into her hair, needing something to hold onto. Sweat dripping between your shoulders as Kate continued to tease your chest. You squeezed your legs together, your cunt feeling neglected. Kate took notice.
She released your tit and continued kissing down your stomach until she reached your leggings again.
“Can I?”
Her eyes searched yours for consent before she pulled them down.
“Kate please”
You panted, wanting nothing more than to cum.
“God you’re pretty”
She pressed a chaste kiss above your bellybutton before she swiftly yanked your leggings and underwear down. They pooled around your ankles as Kate admired you fully bare.
“So pretty..” , she mumbled before she gave an experimental lick.
“Shit”
Your world was spinning as Kate continued to lap at you. Your fingers wrapping around the base of her ponytail, you gave a harsh tug as she rolled her tongue over your clit.
Kate moans loudly into you, the vibrations resonating deep inside of you. You can feel the coil in your gut start to tighten. Seeking more friction, you pull her ponytail again. Grinding your cunt against her face desperately.
“Shit…..fuck, Kate..”
you threw your head back against the mirror, continuing to fuck Kates face.
Her name fell from your mouth like lyrics from a song.
“Good girl..good girl. So good to me”
You whined at Kate. She gave another loud moan. Your words seemed to spur her on as she grabbed your leg, slinging it over her shoulder. The new angle allowed her to insert her fingers into you while she continued to toy with your clit with her tongue.
She gave a few shallow pumps of her fingers before scissoring them in and out.
The coil was still tightening, and at an alarming speed.
“Kate, I’m close”
A moan slipped out after you finished your sentence. Kate had curled her fingers, hitting a new part of your insides that she hadn’t yet.
“C’mon pretty girl, i want to see your face. Eyes on me as you finish”
You nodded frantically, needing that release. She took her mouth off of you as she continued pumping her fingers in and out of you. The sounds of wetness and and moans filled the room.
Kate slowly stood up, continuing her motions in your cunt. You needed something, anything to help you finish.
Your mouth found hers. The two of you shared hot, open mouthed kisses. Forehead resting up against hers, you moaned into Kates mouth. Sweat dripped from your forehead . Your coil was going to snap at any minute.
“So close”
You whined. Kate pressed quick kisses onto your face and your chest, picking up her motions at your cunt.
And then, it snapped. With a hard press to your clit, you were gushing around Kates fingers. Her name escapes from your mouth as you lock eyes.
Her pupils are blown wide with lust as she crashes her mouth against yours again, fingers still inside. She continues pumping her fingers through your orgasm, almost to the point of overstimulation.
You whine as she pulls her fingers from your spasming cunt. You clench around nothing, already missing her fingers. Keeping eye contact with you, she once again cleans her fingers off with her mouth. The two of you catch your breath for a moment, standing there in silence. Sweat drips down between your breasts. The training room smells of sweat and sex and you wouldn’t want it any other way .
Kate pushes a hair off of your sticky forehead and cups your chin, smiling. Her fingers toy with your lips as she searches your face
“How about we do that interview back at my place?”

Just thinking about Roy Harper meeting Kate Bishop in THEEEE stupidest ways possible like
Roy has successfully picked the lock on Jason's main safehouse but didn't have to bust through a deadbolt or chain, which is suspicious.
Also suspicious is the woman aiming a gun at his head.
"Who the fuck is stupid enough to break into the Red Hood's apartment?" She snaps at him.
"I could ask you the same thing!"
"I didn't break in, genius, I live here."
"You're not the Red Hood."
"No, I'm dating the Red Hood."
Stupidest lie ever, Roy thinks. "Joke's on you because Red Hood doesn't have a girlfriend, and if he did, he'd tell his best friend!"
"Well joke's on you because Red Hood doesn't have a best friend!"
They stare at each other. Roy feels like the silence is uncomfortable.
"That was kind of mean, wasn't it?" The woman asks, much quieter than before.
"Yeah, that's what I was thinking," Roy admits. The woman has kept the gun aimed at him the entire time. He's almost impressed.
"Wait," her forehead wrinkles. "Arsenal?"
"Yeah, how did you--wait. Not Hawkeye?"
"Oh my god! Yeah! That's me!" She's gone from threatening to Ray of Sunshine in less than half a second, bouncing over and squeezing Roy into a hug. "It's so good to meet you!"
A few minutes later, Roy has a glass of water and is watching Hawkeye tape the gun back under the table. "I thought you didn't use guns?"
She heaves a massive sigh. "I don't like guns. Doesn't mean I don't use them."
"Ah."
The front door shatters and Hawkeye heaves another sigh just as the Red Hood rounds the corner, gun up. Roy stays leaning against the wall. "Hey, Jay."
"Roy? What are--" his head whips between looking at Roy and at the table Hawkeye is crawling out from under, roll of duct tape around her wrist like some tacky bracelet. "Kate--?"
"Oh, hey babe," Hawkeye says, apparently very unbothered by the Red Hood with a gun pointed in her general direction--Roy knows Jason and he knows he's not actually aiming it at her, seems she knows this too. "You didn't tell me Arsenal was coming into town."
"Because I didn't know--" Jason is cut off by Hawkeye using his shoulder to balance as she presses up to her toes and plants a kiss on the cheek of his helmet.
"I'll let you boys catch up," she says, breezing towards the bedroom. "Jason, I'm taking your patrol tonight."
"No, you're not," he protests, which is cute. Roy can already tell he's lost the argument.
"Yes, I am," she counters, turning so she can face them as she walks away. "I'm not fixing that door. You guys can do it while you have a bro-date. Or a real date, or whatever. I don't know your life."
"Kate," Jason says, a tinge of desperation in his voice that is the only reason Roy isn't laughing his ass off right now. "You live with me."
"Oh, yeah," her voice drifts from the room she disappeared into. "I do, don't I? I like that. Hm." She says it like she actually forgot for a moment it was true.
"I see," Roy says conversationally. "So she's insane."
Jason finally flips the release on his helmet, setting it down on the kitchen table with a sigh. "Just don't mention any of your trick arrow prototypes or--"
"Trick arrows?" Hawkeye practically falls out of the room, about, from what Roy can tell, halfway in uniform. "Oh my god, yes! Finally someone who will appreciate this! Arsenal," she says, locking eyes with him. "Boomerang. Arrow."
"Why would--" it takes Roy half a second to actually process what she's said. "Oh, shit! Yeah. Yeah, that's a genius idea! Jay, we're going to need to switch safehouses, we need a workshop."
Jason sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose, acting like he's so put upon, which he undermines when he says, "the apartment under this one is already set up."

My weekly Marvel rant to my bestie who knows nothing about Marvel
JOE 👏🏻 LOCKE 👏🏻 IS 👏🏻 NOT 👏🏻 BILLY 👏🏻 KAPLAN 👏🏻 HE 👏🏻 IS 👏🏻 NICHOLAS 👏🏻 SCRATCH
Okay so I’m pretty sure, like 100% sure he’s Agatha’s son Nicholas Scratch. Like I’ve been saying he doesn’t look like Billy and I felt like he wasn’t gonna be Billy but after the third episode I definitely think he’s Nicholas scratch. In e1 when he first breaks into Agatha’s house he breaks in through Nicholas’s old bedroom. Then, in e2 he’s sees from the other witches that Agatha has a bad rep but he reveals that he’s like absolutely obsessed with her and maybe he knows he’s her son maybe he doesn’t but he seems really connected to her which doesn’t make sense for Billy. In e3 one of the other witches tells him about how Agatha traded her infant son for the darkhold she used to gain all her power then proceeds to tell him that Agatha probably wouldn’t even recognize her own son if he where to show up on her doorstep. And the edit in the trailer of her not being able to hear his name wasn’t just for the trailer it’s a legit thing in the show, none of the witches are able to hear what he is saying when he says his name or anything about his past they just see his mouth moving but hear no sound and then the one witch is like oh someone put a sigil on him to hide his identity so it’s like a whole thing so obviously he is important. And people where like oh Wanda put the spell on him so that Agatha wouldn’t know he’s billy BUT when Agatha first meets Joe’s character (she calls him Teen) so when when Agatha meets Teen his finger tips are stained black from the ink she used to fingerprint him after he broke into her house but also when you use the darkhold and use dark magic it makes a witches fingertips turn black and Agatha notices his black fingers when she is interrogating him which would tie to Agatha trading Nicholas for the darkhold they gave him darkhold fingers as an indication that he is actually Nicholas Scratch. There has been a Nicholas Scratch reference in all three episodes so far so he’s definitely important to the plot and it would just be way more sense for Teen to be Nicholas Scratch and not Billy Kaplan. Cause I’ve been saying that this show doesn’t make sense to introduce Billy because he doesn’t have a connection to Agatha really and when the young Ava gets started they actually didn’t know the avengers yet the ogs where Billy (as Asgardian) Teddy (Hulking) Elijah Bradley (Patriot) and a Kang variant that went by IronLad. IronLad is from the future and recruited the other three and that’s how they formed their team. From there, they met Kate Bishop who takes over as Hawkeye and Cassie Lang (Stature) who is the daughter of Antman. And THAT is when they meet the avengers cause Jessica Jones comes to find them cause the avengers don’t want them operating on their own cause they are just teens. And Billy is going by Asgardian and has a suit modeled after Thor’s because at this point the only power he really knows how to use is his Kinetic Minipilation to produce lightning. He then learns how to use his magic which is when he takes on the code name Wiccan as suggested by Kate and Cassie. So he really just doesn’t line up to be Billy but everyone thinks he is Billy and he just doesn’t look like Billy either but then there’s that ONE scene in the trailer and that ONE poster where he dressed as Billy and everyone is like JOE LOCKE IS BILLY KAPLAN CONFIRMED but like NO HE IS NOT. Like I know how Marvel is and I don’t they’d give it away that easily. And listen I know I’m a big advocate that sometimes the green light is just a green light but in this case the green light means SOOOOO much more. There’s is so much symbolism and foreshadowing going on directed towards Teen and Nicholas Scratch and him being Nicholas is what makes the most sense.
*this is either gonna age well or I’m gonna look really stupid in a few weeks 😅

Yelena opened her eyes as soon as footsteps entered the room again. The edges of her vision blurred with drugs and alcohol and pain, but Kate’s face clarified as it came closer. She focused in on the bright blue eyes framed by errant strands of curly black hair that fell forward as she leaned over. Her eyes flicked down just slightly to the lush pink lips that had been on hers just a few minutes ago and couldn’t help but smile with the memory of it.
Kate Bishop. Kate. Her little hawk. No. Stop it. You sound like a love struck fool from a stupid American movie.
Yelena wrenched her eyes away but Kate still stood there. With a quick side glance she realized that the hovering woman was trying to hand her something.
“Are you in too much pain to eat? You should try to anyway. You won’t heal without food.” Kate was holding a plate with wonderful smelling triangles on it and a steaming mug.
Pizza. Right. That’s where she went. Yelena started to realize her blood loss may have been worse than she anticipated. She avoided looking down at her abdomen, which was still wholly exposed except for the loose pile of gauze covering her wound, reaching for the plate and mug instead.
“Thank you, Kate. You’re sweet like…marshmallows,” Yelena looked into the mug of chocolate, expecting to see the usual topping she had just mentioned, but the fluffy little pillows were nowhere to be found. She frowned into the dark brown liquid.
Kate grimaced, “Yeah, sorry. I ate the rest of the bag a few hours ago. Well, technically it was the second bag. I finished the one we opened before you left a few days ago. They’re just so easy to eat, you know. Like little pillows of sweet and sticky - ”
Yelena watched Kate dive fully into one of her typical rambles, her mind and eyes drifting back to the mouth as it was talking. She grabbed a slice of pizza and shoved it into her mouth to stop herself from thinking about the ways she wanted to interrupt the rapidly moving lips.
Fuck…chew your damn pizza and don’t look up again.
“...you know what I mean?"
Yelena’s resolve faltered immediately. She looked into Kate’s expectant face, having no idea what words it had just been producing. She stared blankly, trying to remember…something about marshmallows?
“You aren’t listening,” Kate narrowed her eyes then just as quickly softened,” - sorry, of course…I’m rambling. You’re probably too tired to pay attention. It’s ok. I’ll uh, go, just let me know when you’re done and - “
Yelena felt herself sitting up slightly and speaking more forcefully than she truly had the energy for, “No, don’t go. Please.”
New chapter is up, a little fluffy, a lot of emotions.

I was given the assignment to write a short podcast script for my English class, so of course I took it as a fan fiction opportunity. Here’s some silly Bishova :DDD
Thank you so much to @random-marvel-oc and @thebleedingpearl for the question ideas.
——
Intro: Welcome back to another episode everyone! This is Avengers All Around, our favorite place to sit and talk with some of Earth’s mightiest heroes! Per very popular request, we’ve brought in two special guests to talk to us today- some of the most recent additions to the team of incredible individuals that work tirelessly to keep us all safe. Please welcome Kate Bishop and Yelena Belova, aka the New Hawkeye and White Widow!
K: Hey Chuck! Thank you so much for having us, this is such a fun opportunity!
IJ: Oh, my name isn’t-
Y: Yes, Chuck, very good to be here. My Kate Bishop would not shut up about this for anything.
K: *laughs* It’s true! It’s just been so exciting to think about. What kind of questions do you have for us? Can we dive right into it?
IJ: …I- y’know what, uh, yeah! Yeah, let’s get right into it. Just real quick, I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you guys how much of an honor it is to have you on the podcast today. We’re all such big fans of you two here on Avengers All Around, and honestly, I would call myself number 1.
K: I’m so flattered, thank y-
Y: We aren’t actually Avengers, you know.
K: Well I wouldn’t say that we-
Y: Kate Bishop is the leader of the Young Avengers, yes, but they are a separate and more modernized team. I lead the Thunderbolts. Very, very different.
IJ: Right, of course! *laughs nervously* Sorry about that confusion, ladies. Let’s get to-
Y: Do not call me “lady” again, Chuck. *scoffs* Kate Bishop, honestly. Did you not vet this person before accepting the interview proposal?
K: …I actually didn’t have time to do that, no.
Y: Kate Bishop. You… cannot be serious. We’ve been over this. Many times.
K:
IJ:
IJ: Okayyyyy then… *coughs* We alright to hop into some questions with you two?
K: Oh, um- yes, absolutely! Please, let’s continue, sorry about that.
Y: Don’t start thinking I’ll forget about that lapse in judgment, Kate Bishop.
K: *clears her throat nervously* I’m sure you won't, darling. Anyway, Chuck, please, give us the first one. I’m so excited to hear what the fans want to know.
Y: I’m not.
IJ: *forces a laugh* Alright, no worries! First up, one of the most voted for questions from a popular blogging site known as Tumblr… do you two prefer to drink coffee, or tea?
Y: Tumblr? That is familiar to me. Is that familiar, Kate? You’ve mentioned such a thing, haven’t-
K: *laughs loudly* Nope, I have no idea what a Tumblr is. I’ve never-
Y: Also, I’m sorry- did you say that was one of the most voted questions for us? Coffee or Tea? Really?
IJ: Well sometimes it’s the more mundane, slice of life things-
K: Tumblr users are a different breed, babe. This makes total sense.
Y: Right, right… thank you so much, Katherine Elizabeth “I have no idea what a Tumblr is” Bishop.
K: Well-
Y: Either way, I’ve been told I look like I would enjoy a tea called Yorkshire Gold, but I prefer my coffee so black it tastes like you ground soil from the motherland straight into your cup.
IJ: Oh wow, that’s-
K: Absolutely disgusting, is what it is, Chuck. I’ve seen her shove straight beans and boiled water down her throat.
Y: Eh, it was a rushed morning. You are lucky I did not use one of my adrenaline shots that day, Kate Bishop.
K: Wait, I’m sorry- you have adrenaline shots? In the apartment?
Y:
Y: Yes.
K:
IJ: Should we move on to a different question?
K: Oh, I’m so sorry! No no no, that’s alright, uh- I love a good cinnamon and vanilla tea at bedtime, but hands down, I’ll always pick coffee if they’re both options. Yelena makes a mean latte, if you know what I mean.
IJ: What a fun fact for us to know, thank you for sharing!
Y: It’s really not that-
K: *coughs loudly* Anyway, what do you have for us next?
IJ: Right! *shuffles papers* Here’s one I think will be more up your alley, Yelena- if you two were to swap weapons, who would master the new equipment first?
K: Oh! So, if-
Y: I would.
K: Hey!
IJ: Care to explain?
Y: Simple enough- Kate Bishop uses a bow and arrow as her weapon of choice. Staple Hawkeye image, and all that. But it’s archaic and can only do so much in battle. Useless in close combat, too.
K: We literally had an entire conversation about how cool my new arrowheads were-
Y: That doesn’t change the fact that I would master a bow before you could ever learn to navigate wearing Widow Bites, or wielding my batons. It really is as simple as that, Kate Bishop.
K: *scoffs* Uncalled for.
News Break: “Subscribe now to hear the rest of this week’s episode of Avengers All Around!”

"Blood Stain."
Tumblr media
WLWweek day 2! @rexscanonwife
A/N: Okaaay maybe I'm following these prompts a little loosely, BUT I kind of like this one. Many soft, Kate being kinda a dumbass, as she is wont to do. Everything I write is tooth rotting fluff.
It was pitch dark, Kate could hardly manage her way through the apartment, groping around for the lamp. She just barely made it, the light flickered on casting a faint orange glow across the bedroom. She sighed, and stood up straight, noticing Ophelia who was asleep, curled up under the covers, holding on to Kate’s pillow. She sighed and undid her Hawkeye uniform, tossing on a fresh T-shirt and kicked off her pants. Too tired to take a shower, she slid an arm around Ophelia’s waist, sliding in behind her. She sighed satisfactorily, breathing in Ophelia’s shampoo she buried her face in Ophelia’s hair. Before she knew it Kate had fallen asleep.
When Ophelia woke it was late morning. She could feel Kate’s familiar weight around her, the faint scent of clean clothes and lavender perfume tickled her nose. Too tired to smile, she let out a contented breath, reveling in the safety and comfort, utterly surrounded by Kate Bishop.
Ophelia began to adjust herself, turning to face Kate who was usually such a deep sleeper, but as she settled again, burying her face under Kate’s chin, she felt her stir. Kate yawned, and stretched out her arms.
“Hey pretty girl,” Kate said, putting a warm hand up the back of Ophelia’s shirt. The sun was up, bathing them in light. Kate had insisted, saying the light set her up for the day.
“Mmmph,” Was the most coherent response Ophelia could come up with this early. Though she was beginning to wonder how late she had slept, Kate rarely woke up before 9:30.
They lay in silence for a while, too awake to fall back to sleep, too asleep to get up.
“Mission?” Ophelia asked, though it took effort.
“Is that a question?” Kate teased. “It was good, amazing actually you should’ve seen me. We had a few more of those PYM arrows and you wouldn’t believe how useful they are. I just shrunk those guys’ guns right out of their hands. Madam Mask was pissed, I even got to knock her around a bit. I nearly slammed her with a car,”
Ophelia wanted to utter some words of encouragement, say she was proud of Kate, but she was still too tired.
“You know the Robinhood thing, split an arrow with another arrow? We were doing some target practice and I finally figured it out. Clint was right, it’s not bullshit, it was amazing. I’ve got to show you when you’re, y’know, a little more awake.” Kate ruffled Ophelia’s hair a little, “Want me to caffeinate you?”
Ophelia nodded, and slowly they sat up. “Oh my god,” She suddenly burst out. “Kate, you’re bleeding,”
“What-” Kate looked down, a fresh red stain on her side, “Shit,” she lifted her shirt, and sure enough there was a not so pretty laceration. The sheet below her had been stained too, apparently she had neglected to notice, so sore and tired all she could think of the night before was getting home. “It’s not to bad, I got stabbed in the leg. That one hurt,”
“Stabbed?” Ophelia was trying to get a better look at the wound, she haden’t noticed the bandage around Kate’s thigh. She swallowed, and hopped up, pulling Kate to the bathroom and making her sit.
She pulled the hefty first aid kit from under the sink and tore it open, telling Kate to take off her shirt. Kate smirked, but before she could make a joke Ophelia shushed her with a slap to the head. “You’re an idiot, how did you just forget? There had to have been some sort of cut in your suit too,” She hadn't noticed, but her hands were shaking as she cleaned the wound.
“Hey, slow down. I’m not dying, it looks worse than it is,”
“Probably because you slept on it.”
Kate pursed her lips, a small pit forming in her stomach, she felt guilty, and a little silly. It had been a ridiculous mistake to make. Ophelia shouldn’t have to deal with this, though she would no matter what. Kate could physically push her away and she would still come back to help.
Kate rocked her leg back and forth, chewing on the inside of her lip, trying not to look at Ophelia as she worked. It hurt like hell. She was doing her best not to react, but she couldn’t help wincing.
“Sorry, sorry-” Ophelia bit her lip in concentration.
Kate couldn’t help watching now. She had that expression, somewhere between deep concentration and annoyance, her brow furrowed, gnawing on a chunk of her cheek.
“You should probably go see the doctor.” Ophelia said.
Kate tilted her head, a smirk crossing her lips, “That’s what I’ve got you for Nurse Ophelia.”
This was not amusing. Ophelia flattened a hand over the bandage one more time, and stood up. Kate remained seated, looking up with her with those damned puppy eyes. She wrapped her arms around Ophelia’s middle, pulling her flush against her, between her legs. Laying her chin on Ophelia’s chest to look up at her. “I’m sorry. I wanted to get home so bad, I’m pretty sure I was driving Clint crazy, but that was kind of fun. The point is, I just really wanted to see you, and Lucky.”
Ophelia sighed and put a hand on the back of her head. Kate had a black eye, and several scratches, one on her forehead that cut across her eyebrow that Ophelia ran her thumb across. One on Kate’s chin. Clint had apparently patched her up, a little, but it was never easy seeing her this way. Ophelia kissed Kate’s bruised eye, and her forehead, wrapping her arms around Kate’s head to keep her pressed against her chest.
“You scare me sometimes.” She whispered.
Kate nodded, and took one of Ophelia’s hands. She examined it, pressing a kiss to the back, the palm, her wrist. As if to say ‘thank you.’ She stood up, somehow in the same movement picking Ophelia up by the hip and wrapping her legs around her.
“Hey!”
Kate winced, instantly regretting her choices. Not enough to put Ophelia down though. “Back to bed.”
“There’s blood on the sheets.”
Kate frowned, “Well, the couch I guess.” And carried her down from the loft, still in only her boxers, depositing her on the couch. She pressed a kiss to Ophelia’s forehead, then her lips. “Thank you.
