Mikey and Leo episode centered around Mikey wanting to push Leo and Draxum together since Leo’s the most reluctant to give Draxum any grace (for good reason!) But, thinking on the spot, Leo says he’s gotta go do something for Hueso and “just can’t hang out right now 😔” (yes, he says the emoji out loud.)

Mikey calls his bluff and now the three of them (Mikey having grabbed a weary Draxum along) go to Hueso’s to find that yes, he actually does have a job for him. Said job asks for Leo to go with Hueso to deliver multiple pizzas to this giant yokai quite a distance away, and Hueso figured it would probably go better with Leo’s help (emphasis on probably.)

Well, Mikey decides that this would be a great bonding opportunity for them and basically invites he and Draxum along. Unfortunately for Leo, Hueso doesn’t care enough to wave away more help, though he does side-eye the wanted criminal Baron Draxum coming with them. But who is he to judge? (This choice has consequences.)

The journey goes about as terribly as you’d expect, but at least the pizzas get delivered on time.

#linktober #linktober 2024 #the legend of zelda #wind waker #ocarina of time #loz #loz ww #loz oot #link #josh art tag #had a lot of fun with this one despite how annoying it was to draw #oot link was at a difficult angle and i also just could not shade this for the life of me. restarted the shading like 3 times #i think im reaching that point in the cycle i typically go thru with my artstylr where ive grown tired of my shading style #to the point that i forget how to do it and it never quite looks right #so if my next post features changes to my artstyle thats why lol #but i enjoyed making this despite that cuz i like the ideas behind it!#i normally wouldve redesigned ww!link's outfit but i purposefully drew it accurately #to highlight how its more like a costume. cuz thats kinda what it was! and its modeled after the hero of times clothes #but is pretty innacurate. which i think is cool.. shows how much time has passed and how the view of the hero of time has warped #so i also purposefully made oot link wearing my redesigned outfit for him (even if you cant see much of it at this angle)#to further emphasize how ww!link's outfit is not only essentially a costume but is also quite innacurate #i like having ww!link ditch the costume for something else to show how he stops being some kid in oot!link's shadow #and grows into a true hero of his own #hence my ww!link redesign where i put him back in the lobster shirt. but i do keep some green and something similar to the hat #to have him fit in with the other links while still being unique #look i have a lot of feelings about ww!link and oot!link #i wish zelda would do more stuff like this... i think having oot relate to wind waker makes the story more interesting #and makes ww!link more interesting! cuz he cant be the hero of time they want. but he does become the real hero they need #the oot ww tp trio is so good... and they all work great as standalone games but their connections do really add something

Was pondering how Mark’s rigid ass mask/lens is prob a Budget Thing (since squishy, bendy lens are pretty much a mandate for all hero animated series, like JL, BTAS, TNBA, Spider-Man, etc), and then I was slapped with a vision of Mark in a more JL/BTAS-ish style and I had to see it through. I am a genius btw.

#i had MANY thoughts while drawing my brain melted while posting so if ya have questions send 'em / ask 'em #but rapid fire: leans more into nightwing's look b/c bro's name is legit grayson + moves away from his father's sidekick/protege +#and legit has a blue and black outfit. that is soooo winking at robin (dick grayson specifically)#mark has a more casual / athletic fit and tried to keep his usual kicked puppy expression / mood #which then contrasts his more emotional (hero) side he acts upon when he's suited up as ANOTHER wink to the whole dual persona #mark does it unintentionally as he's eager to prove himself as invincible and thus more emotional/confidential/eager + feels lackluster #as just mark grayson.#but it's such a comic book trope it's interesting el show ignores the potential stakes for that + prob cause they dont focus on #villains #mark has debbie's cheek bones + pearls both so he skip the whole copy paste design tactic cartoons annoyingly use + wink at batman w/ pearl #nolan wears pink and debbie wears green b/c they have conflicting views on raising Mark but (used to?) stand on a somewhat #united front by having same collared shirt. but mark leans more on debbie's stuff visually w/ cooler colors + white shirt underneath #mark keeps his cape as another wink/nod at robins (tim drake TNBS specifically) which mimics his Dad + kid-like eagerness for hero stuff #which he gets rid off when he goes blue/black suit arc (cough cough nightwing looking ass) so just leaned MORE into it #mark has a heart on his chest because he's TRYING to do what he think he's best + emotional asf #lens/goggles are diff to keep the audiences' eye back at HIS eyes + look more ominous and predatory which the black/blue combo #already COULD do in canon but in show its just pallete swapped which ruins the more ominious look it probably intended #and doesnt really scream “OH NO! THERE'S NO GOLD! I have some THOUGHTS. ⚡

Well, I have preemptively salted on this movie for so long now, that I'm betting at least some of you are curious to know my opinion on Thunderbolts* by now. Specifically Bucky's role in it.

Disclaimer, I have not actually watched the movie and I have absolutely zero plans to go to the theaters and spend money on it, but I have read several plot summaries for it and seen many spoilers. So I do know about 90% of what happens in it, and my opinion is solely based on that. And let me tell you, it's a strong one.

Spoilers ahead, if anyone cares.

Bucky is not a "NeW aVenGeR".

Because he already was an actual Avenger.

Because he already was working with Captain America and already had done heroic acts working beside him.

He was referred to as an Avenger onscreen, by Walker no less.

This movie refuses to acknowledge any of that.

You can throw all the technicalities you want at me, you can hit me with all the "Uhm, but aCTUALLY..."s that you want.

The truth is this movie takes away so much of what Bucky had already worked so hard to achieve. Including a stable and reliable friendship with Sam Wilson, a clear name, a newfound purpose...

But most importantly, they took away one my man's most defining traits, and one of the biggest reasons why I fell in love with Bucky in the first place: his loyalty.

The man who showed up for Sam Wilson time and time again (especially when he needed emotional support after his protegé was in critical condition), the man who reassured him, the man who was visibly, personally offended when his late friend's shield, title, and legacy was handed by the government to someone who hadn't earned it, the man who fought to give it back to the person Steve had actually trusted with it because he believed only he could carry that legacy with the respect that it deserved...

I refuse to believe that's the same man who tried to talk Sam into just "letting them" use the title of the Avengers, despite knowing damn well why Sam would be opposed to letting the likes of Valentina and the government in general just appropiate it so thoughtlessly. Or heck, even the same man who would just hear Alexei casually insult his best friend and just say nothing??? Like what have they done to him, that's not the Bucky I know!!!

I can and will only accept that ending if they confirm that Sam and Bucky are actually secretly working together to outsmart that woman, and have to keep up appearances in the meantime and pretend to be in a tiff. Otherwise, it does not make sense for either of them and just character-assassinates my fav.

From what I'm seeing and hearing, this movie probably should've just been Black Widow 2 and focus on Yelena and Alexei helping out Bob. Those three seem to be who the movie cares the most about anyway. It's certainly not Antonia. 🙄 (That's my second biggest gripe with this film by the way, I get that she wasn't the most popular character, but that was straight up NASTY of them)

So there may be many good things about this movie. But unfortunately, they decided to rope my favorite character into it in a way that ignores most of what was so great and inspiring about his character arc so far. And they also chose to shamelessly insult and undermine my second favorite character and paint him as a petty bully (which is very OOC for him I might add). And they also chose to do all of this with a cheeky little "LOL we're the New Avengerz now 🤪" attitude and publicity campaign.

And for that alone, they could never make me like this movie.
