There's a certain CCCC summary video that we really, really like. We think it is a great video for people if they want to grasp the story more clearly, if they're confused, or if they're listening to the album for the first time.

That video being Chonny Jash and the Weight of the Mind on Youtube by W3tBl@nk3t. We think they cover it really well.

However, I'm sharing this for a different reason; they say few certain things that really struck with us until now, that I'd like to share with the fandom. Sometimes, we see people really just.. Miss the point of CCCC entirely, and I'd like to shine a light on what was said here. If you'd like to hear this for yourself on video, the timestamp is 35:57-36:45.

Sure, laying in bed all day every day to rot isn't healthy, but neither is boiling things down and invalidating your own emotions. Both are paths to inevitable disaster, and that's what Chonny is doing here. Keep in mind that the idea behind this album is being whole, and that means neither of these sides are entirely in the right or the wrong; this album is about inner compromise and acceptance(3).”

1.) The side of you that suffers; Heart. He is representative of Whole's emotions, he holds them. Your emotions can go haywire, especially when one's mentally ill and has no way of their feelings being validated. An emotional person like Heart suffers under the weight of crushing, devastating feelings. He wants to feel things out, have time to just process everything, even if it takes them days or weeks to get over it. It's not healthy, but feeling is what he does, and he wants to help because he knows he has importance. Solely focusing on just your emotions isn't the best thing to do, however.

2.) The side of you that so desperately wants you to get over it; Mind. Many people have been there, have wanted themselves to stop wallowing in their own emotions and just do something else, even to the point where you think feeling things out is unnecessary. This is also unhealthy, but not intentionally. Like Heart, Mind just wants to help, everything he does is in best interest. This is what he thinks will get them to move on the quickest; to leave behind emotions and focus on anything BUT that. Also not the best thing to do.

3.) This album is about inner compromise and acceptance; About being whole. Neither of Heart and Mind are right nor wrong. They have their own ways of doing things, of what they think will help their whole self out the most, but both are unhealthy despite the good intentions. They fight over who's wrong or right, when they shouldn't even be doing so in the first place. It's your thoughts against your emotions, basically; your feelings contradict your thoughts, and it leads to an inner war of sorts. This won't make things better, which is why you can't have Mind over Heart or vice versa; you'll need both of them. In the album, they are only able to be whole when they get along. They harmonize, they 'combine', they see eye to eye with each other and work together instead of fighting over and over. Inner compromise is achieved with this, and acceptance can lead them away from any disaster that there's to come.

What we're trying to say is that mental health is a large thing tackled within CCCC, and yet we see a lot of people who overlook it; thus, end up missing the point of the whole album. We see a lot of people believe Mind's perspective a little too much and treat Heart quite harshly, or the other way where people demonize Mind and say that Heart is perfect, when it's not really that in the slightest.

This is not a hate post towards people's interpretations of CCCC or how they view characters, I'm just saying that people can tend to overlook what's in the very narrative, and we see a concerning amount of people do such.

something that really pisses me off is this headcanon that ice would have been or was against mav pulling bradley’s papers for the academy.

like i’m sorry but I need some of you to think for a second. this is a man whose jet wash indirectly also led to the accident that resulted in goose’s death and probably carried that guilt for half his life too. this is also the man who was there to watch mav and carole grieve for the brother/husband they lost for YEARS. not to mention he was close to goose as well since they were both at the academy. like he would have wanted to protect bradley just as much as mav did when he made the decision to pull the papers. it’s a dumb moment for both of them but again. 100% they would have both thought they were doing the right thing for bradley.

it's kinda weird that shadow is known as the guy that uses guns all the time when there's like. zero undeniably canon instances of him using a gun. as far as i can remember the only media where hes shown using guns is shadow the hedgehog (the game) and he has one on the boxart yeah but if i remember correctly he doesnt have one in any of the cutscenes except for the opening animation thing but i wouldnt consider that part of the story just a montage of things that Could happen depending on what choices you make. and within the actual levels there ARE weapons you can use but theyre not all guns and the one you use, if you even use one at all, is entirely up to you the player shadow doesn't just grab a gun and make you use it. and while using a gun definitely makes the game easier there are very few missions where it's actually a requirement. plus due to the nature of the choose your own path thing its unclear which missions actually happened so we dont even know if the parts where you have to use a gun happened for real. and after this one single game shadow never used a gun again as far as i know. this whole idea of shadow being obsessed with guns and using them all the time doesnt really have much canon basis if anything it makes more sense for tails to be known as the gun guy considering hes the one who actually uses weapons like all the time

Okay, I saw some people talking about MCC but IRL fights, and I would like to present my (limited) tier list of how I think MCC players would do in a physical fight. I only included players that I felt confident speaking on. Some of these are on the edge, but I put them where I felt they fit best.

For the special tier:

Dream - Physically I think he'd do well in a fight, morally it would swing widely depending on how much time he has to think about it. If he has a chance to think his actions through, I think he'd struggle to actually be mean in an IRL fight. If he doesn't, he'll 100% impulsively slam someone else to the ground.

Technoblade & GTWS - Now, I don't know if Technoblade is still using a wheelchair, my memory is sketchy, but if he is or he can convince the Noxcrew that he is, then this puts him in the same category as GTWS. Namely, "Are they allowed time to prepare, and how many spiked objects can they fit on their wheelchair? Also, are they limited to a push wheelchair, or are they allowed a motorized one to ram people with?". That will heavily influence the outcomes of their fights.

5up - Brings a gun.

I’m so sorry but I think that the funniest thing they did in Top Gun Maverick was the fact that to try to beat the “Top Gun is really fucking gay” allegations they paired Mav up with a different woman this time but in doing so accidentally validated an entirely new gay ship. It’s like. Hey. Lean in real close. Hey. Mav’s got a new girlfriend this time and they’re exes with a fraught past but over the course of the movie make up and get back together, isn’t that so romantic? And then five feet away from all that shit Rooster and Hangman are just straight up saying they have an history with each other and they hold an intense rivalry before they eventually get over their differences and become friends and all the while Rooster is telling Hangman he looks good for the fiftieth fucking time that day and they keep playing romantic songs to piss each other off. The most hilarious thing is that the writers constantly use Maverick’s romances from both movies and basically parallel the only straight relationships with Rooster and Hangman’s relationship, and it’s like? Is this intentional? Is there something you want to tell us?? Because those two have STRONG hostile ex boyfriend energy if i’ve ever seen it, and if the writers want to convince me they’re straight they have another thing coming. If parallels with the only romance on screen then why no canon ex boyfriends. If parallels with both couples from both movies then why no gay. Hmm. Riddle me that Tom Cruise

okay okay okay so i've been reading through your top gun posts/tags and YES ME TOO the more i think about rooster's character/characterization the less i like him. You are absolutely right that the whole fallout is so incredibly shallow, i just - see i don't necessarily blame him for being mad. pulling his papers was kind of a dick move, at least since it seems like rooster's dream job was aviator? i'd also be kinda pissed. (also how old is he at this point? 17-18? that age isn't exactly known for common sense.) BUT it didn't need to turn into a twenty year radio silence with a fuckton of outright viciousness on rooster's part. like, okay, you don't like maverick, but that doesn't mean that you can tell him that no one is going to mourn him when he dies. you definitely can't tell him that the first person who ever believed in him shouldn't have. that's cruel. full stop. (and we all know carole taught him better.)

tl;dr, yeah, the emotional immaturity that rooster is written with, both in canon and in fic, is incredibly annoying and the more i see it the more i want to scream

Tw/ gun violence

Is there some way to figure out if something I witnessed was a really vivid dream or a memory? I remember seeing something that I shouldn't have when I was a kid. My dad pulled out a pistol on my mom one time, and it's been killing me inside, not knowing if it was just a vivid dream or if it was a memory I suppressed. I already hate him enough, even if it turns out to be a dream. But if it's not, then I could never ever forgive him for that. How will I know if I made it up or if it was real?

The only way I can think of here is to ask your mom. For what it's worth, I don't believe you made it up. I don't think anyone makes up or makes a vivid dream into a 'real' memory, when it's this serious and dangerous. This is obviously something that keeps bothering you, and stuff from dreams or made-up stuff doesn't tend to stick with us in that way, it fades easily, because we can tell it's not a real danger.

If you cannot ask your mom, try to find out who else knew your dad at this time, and ask whether he had a gun, or had been known to do anything like this in the past. Just getting additional information about this situation could help, and if this happened, your mom also could have relayed it to someone, and you could hear from someone that something like that did go down. I feel like getting a confirmation on this would do a lot for you.
